The alcohol clings to your tongue. The flavour is bitter and acidic. You don't like it. You put the shot glass down, hovering awkwardly as Andy brushes his fingertips along his beard and sighs. He turns to face the other man.
"So, you don't have a contract, what do you have? Correspondence? Anything," Andy says.
"Here's the thing, the correspondence isn't exactly PG. I don't know if it would be admissible."
"Hansen," Andy warns as the other man pours himself another drink.
"What? Calm down. I'll get you something. I just... need to find it."
"What does that mean?" Andy grits.
Lloyd nears you, standing close as he leans over to fill your disposed shot glass, "don't waste it, sunshine, I paid a pretty price for the best."
"Stop. She's not here to drink--"
"Maybe you should start, pal," Lloyd pulls away, downing his own shot then drinking straight from the neck of the bottle, "what are you complaining about? I'm gonna cut you a check and you're gonna get this bimbo off my ass. I didn't do anything she didn't ask me to do."
"Maybe you should save your money and just pay out the lawsuit," Andy huffs, "it'd be easier--"
"We both know you're not going to just roll over," Lloyd insists and looks at you, gesturing with the bottle, "I said don't waste my generosity. It doesn't come easy."
Andy doesn't seem to hear the warning. He's rubbing his forehead as he sneers at the ceiling. You give a guilty look and take the shot glass, apologising before you throw back the mouthful with a choke. You seal your lips to keep from spitting it back out.
Lloyd goes over to the couch and sits, knees wide, taking another gulp from the bottle.
"Sit down, let me go over the shit," he demands as he rests the bottle on his leg.
Andy relents, walking around the couch stiffly and sitting in an leather armchair, just on the edge. He watches Lloyd expectantly. The client stifles a belch behind his fist and and snaps his fingers, pointing to the end of the sofa.
"The secretary too," he says.
"Intern," Andy corrects.
You lower yourself carefully and cross your hands over your knee, antsy and a bit disoriented as the alcohol seeps into your bloodstream. You didn't expect to be tipsy this fast.
"Alright, so get this," Lloyd begins, "I'm on TikTok, scrolling, and I see this bimbo..."
Andy flutters his lashes as his cheek ticks. He restrains himself as he listens and you try not to cringe at the lewd retelling of a tangled web of money and unsavoury acts. You lean on the armrest and yawn as Lloyd goes on, growing more theatrical as he unravels the tale of his current predicament.
📖
Another drink is forced on you before Andy firmly takes the bottle away. His exasperation boils over and he yanks away the gin. He sets it down heavily with a clunk as he looms over the other man. Lloyd giggles at the attorney's anger.
"Well, there's my side of the story," he hiccups and shifts to slip his phone out of his pocket and look at the time, "now if you don't mind, I got friends comin'... a few ladies too..." he winks in your direction, "you can stick around if you like, sunshine."
"That's enough," Andy marches towards the door, "we got what we need. Try not to rack up another lawsuit tonight."
"I'll do my darnedest," Lloyd slurs as you stand up, "damn, if that ain't daddy energy, right there."
You look down at the drunken man and fixes his collar. You shake your head and follow Andy. Well, that was the strangest experience of your life. You'll be content to never face anything like that again.
Andy holds the door for you but as you step into the hall, you feel the stir of alcohol and wobble just a little. You're surprise as Andy catches up to you and puts his hand on the small of your back. You press your hand to the wall and murmur and apology.
"You okay?" He asks, closer than you expect, his breath tickling through your hair.
"Yeah, yeah, it's just... I don't really drink."
"Sorry about that, he's pushy like that, I just... didn't wanna argue. Get what I need and... I feel awful now."
"Really, I'm fine," you wave him off and stand straight, "I'm just tired."
You go to the top of the stairs and grab the railing, taking the steps one at a time as you try no to look down. The flashing lights and the music add to your spiraling reality and as you reach the bottom, your empty stomach adds to the skewing of the dark room. You sense Andy behind you and your crushed against him as bodies crowd you.
He grabs your arm, keeping you from falling, and directs you past the web of dancing clubbers. He hurries you along, deflecting writhing bodies with a strong arm and gets you to the doors. You stumble out with him still grasping onto you.
"Jeez," you say out of breath, "it's crazy in there."
"Right," he huffs and squeezes before he lets you go, "lots going on," he combs his fingers through his hair, "you okay?"
"Yeah, fine, just..."
"Hey, let me drive you home," he interjects, "you look like you need to lay down."
"You're probably right," you shrug, glancing back through the club doors.
He gestures you past the queue of people waiting on the sidewalk and you cross to the other side of the street. You get to his car, a bit woozy as you lean against it. Three shots and you're ready to collapse. You're kind of embarrassed.
He unlocks the door and you drop into the car heavily. You close your eyes and try to clear away the gathering cobwebs. This isn't a good look.
"You sure you're doing okay?" Andy asks as he reaches over to pull your door shut.
You snaps your eyes open and eke out, "yeah, sorry."
You buckle your seat belt and try set your head straight. This can't be happening. You're a lightweight but you can't be this bad. You muffle a yawn in your palm.
You lean your elbow on the slim armrest and cradle your head. You just need to get yourself together. You only need to make it home before you... pass out.

Mine Forever (Yandere! Revenant x reader)
Warning: gore and blood
Summary: revenant has finally found someone who knows how he feels being a robot and now he’ll never let them go
Tumblr media
You don't remember how it all happened, you didn't want it to happen. The blood of your teammates no not only your teammates but the other legends: their blood, their internal organs, their crushed bones painted the walls of the drop ship and standing in the center of the bloody mess.....him.
A week before the incident
You were a new legend to the apex games. You walk onto the drop-ship with your combat boots, black baggy pants, a crop top and an oversized black jacket covering your body. The legends look at you and introduced themselves except for one of them, a red robot that was fiddling with a black burnt ball all he did was stare at me. You ignored him but you still wanted to get along with him so maybe you'll talk to him later.
The drop ship takes off to the arena and you look at the board to see that you were on a team with Bangalore and bloodhound. You got on a platform with them and head to the geyser, and started to looting the area you got ok stuff, a level one body shield, a wingman and an r103. You head towards the ring but you ended up running into an enemy squad. The enemy took a lot of our health and we did not have a lot of medkits or shields. You tried looting a death boxes but we were third party by another team. The team was octane, mirage and revenant, you stare at revenant as he shoots you down. He looks at you and chuckled, "death is coming rookie but I'll make sure it won't come to you.......for now" he shoots you in the head sending you back to the drop ship eliminating your team. You looked up at the screens of the drop ship and see that revenant was the new kill leader but what did he mean by death won't come to me yet?
You keep looking at the battle and revenant's team wins the game. They come back to the drop ship and everyone cheered for them. Mirage stood in a table, "drinks on us tonight guys" octane butts in, "you mean drink are on you" everyone laughs as we all head to the bar
When we got to the bar all the legends sat in a booth but one revenant. He won too didnt he? He should be having fun too. You look around and see revenant sitting at the bar alone. You sigh and get up from the booth, mirage looks at you, "hey newbie where ya heading?" You look at mirage, "I'm gonna y'all to revenant." The legends look at you like you grew three heads, mirage chuckles awkwardly, "youuuuu don't want that sweetheart trust me he's......crazy not caustic crazy but insane crazy." You roll your eyes, "I'll be fine I'm a big girl guys" you walk over to revenant and sit next to him, you see him drink whiskey, you decide to order it too even though you never had it before. You take a sip of the whiskey it was bitter the taste surprised you so much you started coughing up the disgusting taste. You hear a chuckle you look next to you to see revenant laughing at you a little, "you acquire a taste for whiskey don't get it just because I'm getting it." You smile a bit, "I wanted to make you comfortable at least since you never seem to talk to me." Revenant looks at you, "I spoke to you on the battlefield plus I'm not the type to make friends." You put your head on your hand, "why are you here for mr. revenant?" He sighs, "will you leave me alone if I tell you?" You sigh, "sure I'll leave you alone if you tell me" he drinks the rest of his whiskey then starts talking, "I'm here for vengeance, I was human once until....they made me like this..." he slams his fist down when he says 'they' you look at you even more curious, "and who are they?" He growls and looks at you, "you said you'll leave me alone once you ask your question right?!" You gulp a bit scared but you didn't wanna show him fear, "m-maybe I can help." He grips his hands into fist tightly, "how can someone like you change me back to human?" You sigh and rest your hands on his clench fist, "I can't help with that but I can help you cope." He looks at me, "you'll never know how I feel rookie." You turn your body towards his, "really?" You lift up your pants leg exposing your robotic legs with the labels Hammond Robotics stamped to it, "i know what they did to you. Everyone talked about the man that turned to metal by Hammond robotics." He looks at your legs and chuckles, "you and I aren't so different huh?" You pull your pants legs back down, "I know what you've been through now can we be friends?" He sighs and orders two shots of vodka for us, "alright but I don't want the other legends thinking I'm soft so don't talk to me like we're friends during the games or around them." You giggle a bit as you two clink shot glasses, "deal I hope we become close revenant."
Present time
Those words wanting to become close to revenant You didn't expect him to take it so seriously. Every minute outside the arena he was near you causing you to stay away from the other legends. On the dropship to the arena Lifeline, octane and a few other legends wanted to go out into town with you and you said yes. But what you didn't know was that revenant was ease-dropping on the conversation making him quietly crush his little burnt ball into nothing.
After the game you head home to get ready for the outing with the other legends. They still didn't know about your legs so you wore long black pants and a fancy red top with black boots. You head to the drop ship but it was quiet too quiet. You enter the drop ship to a dark room, you step forward into something wet but it wasn't just any liquid it was..... blood! You turn the light on in the drop ship to see the corps of your legend friends on the floor lifeless. Their stomach was spilling out of them and their bones were clearly crushed. You look up to see in the middle of the blood mess him....revenant with the organs of what seems to be mirage in his hand. Your eyes widen, "r-revenant what did you do?!!" He chuckled, "you were gonna abandon me my friend and I can't have that now can I?" You gulp a bit scared, "b-but I wasn't gonna abandon you! I just wanted to have other friends!" He holds his knife hand up to your neck, "you are not aloud to have other friends if you do I'll make sure they won't see the light of day ever again." You start to cry a bit, "revenant please stop this I'm scared." He grabs your right pants leg and rips it off exposing your robotic leg, "how about this I'll give you a 1 minute head start to run away from me but if I catch you you're mine forever." He pushes you out the dropship, "clocks ticking" you run away from the drop ship you run so fast that you didn't want to look back. You had to hide. You decide to hide in an alley way hoping that revenant won't find you. It felt like you were in the alley forever but as long as you didn't see revenant you were fine. You think a minute or two has passed he probably lost you, you slowly let your guard down but you shouldn't have. Revenant jumps from a building and lands right in front of you, "now.....you're mine forever

To a New Year
Tumblr media
(GIF from google)
Words: 679
Warnings: none
Reader plans on celebrating alone, Obi-Wan has different plans.
A quick Obi-Wan New Years drabble. Can't help to put in some foreshadowing at the end of these things, sorry.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Festivities were going on everywhere you looked. The end of the year was nearing, people of Coruscant were antsy to get to their loved ones. You, as a jedi, did not share their sentiment as you were not allowed to form attachments.
That is why you were on your way to your apartment in the temple, ready to celebrate yet another new year on your own. As soon as your door closed, you wanted to pour yourself a drink but a knock on your door stopped you.
You moved to the door and turned the knob to open it. You had not expected to see your brothers master, and your friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi on your doorstep.
"Master Kenobi? Can I help you?" Obi-Wan was your friend and you passed time together in the library or while sparring, but he had never visited your chambers before.
"Not necessarily, I was just wondering if you wanted to grab a quick drink before the new year? I'll be out of your hair when the clock strikes 12." He looked at you, a glimmer in his blue eyes. Even if you would have wanted to say no, you would not have been able to.
"Of course! I have a few bottles you might like. Saves some credits too." You stepped aside to let him walk into your small living space. It wasn't much, you had a small sofa in the middle of the room that worked as a room divider for the little kitchen you had. The table in front of the couch was decorated with exotic flowers that senator Amidala had gifted you. There were no pictures on the wall, the only decoration on your walls was a painting of your home planet, Tattooine.
Obi-Wan had been standing around a little awkwardly, a stark contrast to his confident nature. You pulled out two glasses from one of the cabinets and a bottle of wine from the countertop. You brought both to the table by your couch. You took a seat and started pouring some wine into the glasses.
"Are you going to be standing there all night? You're more than welcome to." You smiled cheekily at him, the Skywalker in you making an appearance. He rolled his eyes and took a seat near you. You handed him his glass and enjoyed your wine in silence.
As you drinked and conversed the time started ticking away. Obi-Wan had moved closer to you. You could see that it was almost 12. You held out your hand to Obi-Wan and waited for him to take it. When he did you moved yourselves to your bedroom. There was a wallsized window next to your bed. From which you could see the celebrations in the city.
"Wait for it, this is going to be beautiful."
"I believe you." Except he was not looking to the city. Obi-Wan was admiring your face, the way your eyes shined in the light of Coruscant and the impending glee of what was going to come. You felt his gaze on your face and turned to look at him.
"You know the window is over there right?" You tilted your head a little and smiled at him.
"Oh, I'm well aware." He returned your smile.
You could faintly hear people in and around the temple count down from five to zero. As the fireworks went off Obi-Wan moved his hand to your cheek and leaned in, never losing eye contact until your lips met.
His lips were soft and his beard scratched your face. Your lips moved together in a sweet and gentle way, drinking in each other. When you broke apart you hugged him, your chin resting on his shoulder.
You moved away from him to find him smiling brightly.
"To a good year." You gave his lips a chaste kiss.
You truly hoped for a good year, Anakin was to finally be a Jedi Knight and you would fight side by side. What you didn't know was that you would fight in a war together, a war that took sacrifices.
A Stranger Things Fanfic
Tumblr media
Chapter Two- Part Two
   Phina sits awkwardly in the back seat of Barb's car. Not wanting to be there at all. They drove towards Steve's house, the houses in the area becoming bigger and more separated. They were in the rich side of Hawkins, where people like the oh so lovely Harrington's lived.
   "Barb, pull over," Nancy suddenly says.
   "What?" Barb asks.
   "Pull over," Nancy repeats.
   Barb does what she's told and parks the car on the side of the road, "What are we doing here, his house it three blocks away."
   Phina sits forward so she's apart of the conversation, "Yeah, if I'm gonna be dragged here, I at least want to drive all the way there."
   "We can't park in the driveway," Nancy says.
   Phina rolls her eyes as Barb says, "are you serious?"
   "This is so stupid, I'm just gonna drop you off," Barb says.
   "Barb, come on. You promised that you'd go, you're coming, we're gonna have a great time," Nancy said.
   "He just wants to get in your pants," Barb exclaimed.
   "No he doesn't," Nancy smiled.
   "Yeah he does Nance," Phina piped in, "that's literally all he wants. Like, legitimately all he wants."
   "He invited you to his house, his parents are not home, come on you are not this stupid," Barb adds.
   "Tommy H and Carol are going to be there," Nancy tries to reason.
   "Tommy and Carol have been having sex since 7th grade," Barb says.
   "Yeah, it'll probably be like a big orgy, which I do not want to be a part or even a witness of," Phina agrees with Barb, adding in a little gag for emphasis.
   Nancy scoffs, "gross."
   "I'm serious," Barb says.
   "All right well, you guys can be like my guardians," Nancy smiles at them, starting to take her shirt off, "all right. Make sure I don't get drunk and do anything stupid."
   Nancy completely takes her shirt off and Barb looks at her, "is that a new bra?"
   Nancy looks at Barb, then Phina, before looking back down, "no."
   "Liar," Phina laughs, she knew for a fact it was, because Phina had been there when she bought it.
   "Shut up," Nancy laughs back and turns around to playfully hit her sister.
   The three girls stand at Steve's doorway and Nancy rings the bell. Barb shuffles nervously for a few seconds which causes Nancy to look at her.
   "Barb, chill."
   "I'm chill," Barb says quietly.
   "I'm not, I don't want to be here," Phina snorts.
   The doors open at that moment, and Steve looks at all of them, his eyes meeting Phina's. Her eyes were already lit with up like fire, and he didn't know why that made him want to squirm.
   "Hello ladies," he smirks, trying to put on his I don't care attitude.
   "Hello asshole," Phina smirks back before pushing past him and into his house.
   "Phina!" Nancy shrieks.
   "No no Nance. I probably deserved that," Steve laughs.
   "Damn straight," Phina mumbles.
   Steve leads the girls out to his backyard, which has a steaming pool in it. Phina quickly finds a chair and sits in it trying to avoid Tommy and Carol. Barb copies her, looking extremely uncomfortable. Tommy grabs Carol and pretends he was going to throw her into the pool. She lets out a high pitched scream.
   Tommy lifts her up and counts, "one, two three!"
   "You're such an asshole!" Carol shrieks at Tommy.
   Steve suddenly stands up with a beer, shotgunning the entire thing. Phina glared at the back of his head the whole time, silently calling him every nasty word she could think of. He pretends like he doesn't feel the heat of her gaze on him and smirks.
   He falls down into a lounging chair and Nancy smiles at him, "is that supposed to impress me?"
   "You're not," he asks, as cocky as ever.
   Nancy smiles, "you are a cliche, you do realize that?"
   "You are a cliche, with what. Your grades, and your band practice," he fires back, lightning a cigarette.
   Nancy laughs, "so not in band."
   "Ok, party girl, why don't you just show us how it's done then," he says, handing her the knife.
   Phina rolls her eyes as Nancy agrees. She knew her sister wanted to impress Steve, and that clouded any and all reason that she had. Her sister had only ever had a glass of champagne on New Years, if she thought she could keep up with Steve, and his little cronies, she was way out of her league.
   "You gotta make a little hole, right at the bottom," Steve said.
   "I got it," Nancy said, proud of herself.
   "Yeah, she's smart, you douche," Tommy laughed and crushed a beer can on his forehead, and throwing it at the ground.
And you're definitely not, Phina thought to herself in answer.
   Nancy made the hole and started to drink, Steve started chanting, "chug, chug, chug."
   Tommy and Carol joined in, their voice growing louder and louder, making Phina glare at them. She had been glaring a lot that night, she wouldn't be surprised if she got stuck like that.
   Nancy finished drinking and dropped the can, taking a bow. Phina, for the tenth time since she got here, rolled her eyes, again, she thought she'd get stuck like that. Steve saw her do this and got an idea, one that he surely thought would put her in her place.
   "What, think you can do better, red?"
   Phina glared at him, "I know I could."
   "Then do it," Steve challenged her, the tone of his voice striking her ego.
   Phina's eyes were an emerald fire, burning Steve as they searched his own eyes. Phina stood up quickly and grabbed the beer and knife, she'd done this before, multiple times actually, the first time being at a party she snuck away to a few summers ago. Her and Jonathan had gotten into a fight that night, so she wanted to take her anger out. She went to the party to get wasted and get in a fight, both of which she'd exceeded in doing.
   She made the hole in the can and started to drink, the bitter liquid sliding across her tongue. Everyone was silent as she drank, tension building in the air. She finished faster the both Nancy and Steve.
   Everyone was quiet as she threw the beer down, and bowed to Steve mockingly, a vicious smirk on her lips, "told you."
   Steve watched her closely, almost as if he was trying to read her. He couldn't, no, she surrounded her self in a shield of vicious confidence that irked Steve. Her ego matched his and they were a nuclear bomb just waiting to go off whenever they were near each other.
   Phina scowled at him, not liking the way he tried to see past her walls. She had spent years building them up, and she was not about to let some stupid jock get past them.
   Nancy then stepped in, trying to diffuse the tension in the air, "Barb do you want to try."
   "No, no I don't want to, thanks," Barb tried to say.
   Phina broke eye contact with Steve when she heard the uncomfortable tone in Barb's voice. Her eyes softened, the fire dying out.
   "Come on," Nancy said.
   "Nance, I didn't want to," Barb pleaded.
   Phina shook her head at Nancy, "she doesn't want to Nance, leave her alone."
   "Come on, its fun," Nancy ignored Phina, grabbing the knife from her sister's hand.
   "Nance," Barb pleaded again.
   Nancy bent over, grabbing a beer from and put the beer and knife in Barb's hand, "just give it a shot."
   Barb stood up reluctantly, "ok."
   Phina silently cursed Nancy and looked at Barb worriedly. Barb was definitely not the type of girl to do things like this, and Phina was angry at her sister for not caring about her best friends feelings.
   Barb put the knife to the beer, mumbling slightly. She pressed the knife down and it slid, cutting her thumb.
   "Are you ok," Nancy asked.
   Phina walked over to help, "Barb!"
   "I'm fine."
   "You're bleeding," Nancy said, trying to grab Barb's hand.
   "I'm fine," Barb said sternly, she turns towards Steve, "where's your bathroom?"
   He stands up and awkwardly gives her directions to the bathroom, Barb leaves and disappears into the house. It's quiet for a moment, before Tommy decides to push Carol into the pool. She starts yelling at him, but he dives in after her, silencing her with the giant splash of water.
   Steve pushes Nancy in and turns towards Phina. She scowls at him, which he answers with an infuriating smirk.
   "You push me in, I'll cut off all your hair," is all she says.
   "It'll grow back," he shrugs and hauls her over his shoulder, jumping into the pool.
   Phina's head comes out of the water and she gasps for air. She turns around to yell at Steve, but he tackles her back underwater. He holds her around her waist, keeping her below the water. Her skin grows hot beneath his touch, her anger like a fire in her veins. The heat radiating off of her was actually uncomfortably warm, unnatural. He loosens his arms, just enough for her to escape.
   Phina pushes him away and resurfaces, finding her sister laughing at her. Steve comes out up and she turns to him, absolutely livid.
   "I'm going to kill you," she shouts.
   "Come at me then red," he jokes, already pushing the feel of her warm skin beneath his hands from his mind.
   He goes over to Nancy, still smirking at Phina until he pulls Nancy into his arms. They turn away from Phina and she angerly gets out of the pool. No one chooses to care.
   "Nancy, I'm going home, don't worry I'll still cover for you," Phina says, even though Nancy doesn't even notice. She grabs a towel and Storms towards the gate, again, no one chooses to notice.
   Steve does notice though. He watches as she leaves through the back gate, glancing behind her one last time. Their eyes meet and she glares at him before walking through the gate and slamming it harshly.
   Steve winces a little. He was used to her anger, he had been a victim of it ever since their sixth grade year when Carol had gone a little to far while bullying Phina, but this was different. His heart actually stuttered slightly when she glared at him, feeling guilty for making her upset. Why? He had no clue, none whatsoever.
   Phina walks down the road, kicking a rock as she goes. She shivers as the cold sets in, her entire body shaking. She glances down at her tattoo and shakes her head, not here, she thinks to herself. Phina lets her eyes travel, looking for somewhere secure.
   Her eyes find an opening into the thick trees of the forest, where she knew a shortcut to her house was at, where she knew no one would see her. Once she'd walked far into the dense forest, she closed her eyes and focused.
   Jonathan walked back to his car, his camera hanging from his neck, as he looked back into the forest one last time, hoping to see Will, he saw a golden light shining deep in the heart of the forest. It shinned brightly for a few moments, before disappearing all together.
   Jonathan turned towards his car, and convinced himself it wasn't real.
   On the other side of her short cut, Phina emerged from the forest, completely dry.
