Speaking of psypass, Tobias is such a wildcard when it comes to how he'd react to an enforcer trying to run away... He doesn't view that as a betrayal just as he doesn't view fellow inspectors changing jobs or enforcers being forced to relocate to another division as a betrayal. It's part of the job. The only reason he would consider it a betrayal is if the enforcer in question worked with a criminal behind his back to run away or otherwise get him killed. But besides that? He doesn't careee. What he'd do depends wholly on how he'd feel on the day they try to run away and how close he is to them/to sb who cherishes them. He can't exactly let them go since that'd end up being HIS trouble (at most he could let One go in his entire career) but if he's feeling nice he'd hunt them down and allow them to live, not telling anyone that they tried to run away. If he's in a bad mood, though, or they've betrayed him somehow, they would be dealt with in the way protocol dictates. Maybe even Worse. 😭

As Long As he likes them enough
