small bits of evidence for my headcanon (npd + hpd mao mao) in poorly explained bullet points because I lack the spoons to write the essay on this that i crave tto.

— his constant need for validation, praise, and admiration

— his difficulty admitting when he's wrong

— he's focused on heavily on Success™ or Being The Best™ (specifically in the form of his goal of becoming a legendary hero)

— also related to the above point there is CLEARLY some Grandiose Thinking going on with him surrounding that exact thing.

— his style of combat is generally very showy and theatrical which is almost certainly a way to draw more attention toward himself

— his tendency to over exaggerate personal anecdotes

— overly exaggerated emotions and behaviors

— the fact that he has what may as well be a narcissistic collapse in the episode 'not impressed'

— read somewhere that some pwhpd will sacrifice their authentic identity for what others will like more. this is literally the entire plot of 'popularity conquest'

— the fact he quite literally splits on bao bao in "bao bao's revenge"

— also mao mao continuously looking back at the crowd during the fight scene with the monster / dragon thing at the beginning of 'not impressed' to make sure he still has their attention

— he is shown to be highly suggestible/easily influenced (ie; being told true heroes work alone in 'all by mao self' and proceeding to immediately adopt this ideal)

if anyone can think of any that I missed, let me know. this for the most part is all very off the top of my head.

I am still watching the show (yes I'm late </3) so I'll likely post more evidence as I come across it.
