SSI has failed me again. Because I havent done rent in my aunts home (because she said i didnt have to and could use it for a storage unit to keep my stuff safe) SSI is now cutting my income in half which is news to me and I've never heard of such a thing. Thanks SSI for screwing me up again.

So now I can't pay for my cats appointment to get fixed when shes spraying and constantly in heat and needs to see a vet on the first of next month. 250 dollars.

Rewatching Adam clips (nwbd) AND GODS this girl (Ade.le) SUCKS like she actually sucks. She invites him out to party with her friends but her friends are gigantic assholes.

Like actually, they're disrespectful to a convenience store worker and they steal from him!!!

Adam calls Ad.ele out on her friends shitty behavior and she gets mad at him... he basically pleads with her to not go back to her friends guys house and she fucks off anyways basically ditching Adam because he said he didn't want to go (or be associated with people like that) she eventually goes back and finds him but like... Really?

I hate her. That's basically her and her interactions with Adam throughout their screen times together.

She seems bothered by his existence meanwhile he's being idk fucking normal and yeah he likes her but its always like her leading him on (inviting him out, never stating that she just wants to be friends etc) then pushing him away or treating him like garbage as if he never mattered at all.

She pisses me off. Especially when she really leads him to believe that they're close and he kisses her and when he pulls away the first words out of her mouth are "I don't like you" not "I don't like you like that" or "I see us as just good friends" no. Its "I don't like you"

Just AUGGHH I never wanted to smack someone so badly. She constantly confuses him and it pisses me off so much and it breaks my heart to see Adam be treated so badly... She doesn't deserve him in ANY sense.

I'm glad I'm stealing him away so she can stop mentally tormenting him he doesn't deserve to be treated like that. She can go away and Adam can stay with me, someone who is actually going to love and appreciate him.

OH MY GOD I'M SO ANGRY

Nobody probably listens to ytcracker, but I'm a big fan of his "Introducing Neals" concept album. Basically it tells a story of a cool hacker which fights against big corporations for internet neutrality and privacy (smth like that yk, and it's still relevant 🤔).

This project was going to be huge because some animation studio was making animated clips for some songs. They probably wanted to make a whole animated movie. But that was about 9 years ago. I guess they ran out of money and cancelled the project. Too bad.

But look what they managed to make. That's a very nice animation actually. I really want to share the first two clips so here they are:

See? EPIC. COLORFUL. ANIMATED FRAME BY FRAME BY REAL PEOPLE. I literally made fanart for this album based on these clips. Inspiring. HELL YEAH we all say in unison.

BUT YESTERDAY IT WAS 10 YEARS ANNIVERSARY OF THIS ALBUM AND THIS CHANNEL POSTED TWO VIDEOS CALLING THEM "FULL MOVIE". I immediately clicked only to see THIS AI GENERATED TRASH.

this is just disrespectful... Okay, you have no budget to animate, you have no budget to celebrate the anniversary. You can just NOT CELEBRATE IT. I'm not even sure if anyone still remembers this project, nobody cares. BUT NO. YOU JUST TOOK A BUNCH OF AI GENERATED SHITTY IMAGES, GLUED THEM TOGETHER INTO THIS ABOMINATION AND POSTED IT AS A "FULL MOVIE"????

I'm so disappointed I want to cry. I love this album so much, it inspired me to draw fanart for it, it is also the main inspiration source for my clone high cyberpunk au, I listen to this album very often to feel the specific vibe from it, I even have a whole ass google document with the plot analyze of Introducing Neals. Ytcracker is a good artist too, I love his other songs.

And this, as i said, is just disrespectful. I wrote about that in the comments, idc if it gets deleted by authors who sat on their asses for hours writing ai prompts and not giving a single fuck about the album. I'm mad.

Seriously, i've been thinking of making animatics for some of the songs, but i guess it doesn't matter now? AI is better, the crowd is cheering. Okay. Whatever. I guess people will watch anything now.

Why Penelope only has eyes for Colin

Or, why the people who ship her with Debling as an alternative frustrate me.

Disclaimer: this is not about people who ship crack couples for fun. This is why I personally don't like shipping Debling with Pen. Do what you want. I just want to rant for a minute.

The idea that Pen requires male attention to feel confident in herself doesn't sit right with me at all, whether that attention be from Debling or Colin. For me, the whole point of Pen coming into her own and finding her confidence is realizing that she is a brilliant writer, and does not need a husband or a suitor to know that she is Lady Whistledown and she is amazing. She spent years putting on a facade around Colin because she wanted him to fall in love with her, and now that facade is gone and she is truly herself around him. She is Lady Whistledown, and that is what makes Colin fall in love with her, not her dresses or her beauty or her body or her hair or her anything. The moment he breaks is the moment he realizes she is Lady Whistledown, and he finally knows all of her and he is entranced and amazed and in awe and ravishes her in a carriage.

Can Debling ever know all that?

Or is he simply serving as a substitute Colin, with all of his traits, but he never said "I would never court Penelope Featherington"?

We know next to nothing about Debling, and yet people want to hate Colin so much that they started to pair him with Penelope immediately, wanting him to court her, to get engaged to her.

Would Colin ever let it get that far? Truly?

Colin needs something to push him in the right direction, sure. Pen can have a few dances and promenades with Debling. But do we really need to see Debling and Pen go farther than that? Pen doesn't even want that. She is only out for a husband this season. She wants security.

My favorite part about Colin and Pen is that they are only about each other. They are each other's biggest support. The idea that Colin needs to suffer through watching a Pebling engagement doesn't make sense to me. He doesn't need to repent for the sin of telling a group of gentlemen that he would not court Pen when he was not considering courting any woman at that moment. He is going to feel incredibly guilty and apologize, give Pen flirting lessons and see the real Penelope now that she is not trying to be this girl she thinks he wants, and the moment his ass is kicked into gear by the mere suggestion of Pen marrying someone else, he's going to win her back.

Penelope never needed anyone's attention but Colin's, anyway.

IDK what the point of this was, other than to get my thoughts out into one place and try to give words to this irritation I feel when I see another post about how Colin doesn't deserve Penelope, or saying that Debling seems like such a nice guy, or wanting Colin to go through hell before he can 'win' Penelope's affection.

It's just not how I see their dynamic. It feels too toxic when their love is based on mutual respect and friendship and support. They trust one another enough to show their full selves, even when they have been overlooked their whole lives.

But I know other people have different life experiences that inform how they see Polin. This isn't meant as a chastisement of people who do want Pen to eagerly receive attention from Debling (or anyone other than Colin, for that matter). It's just me trying to gather my thoughts about the whole situation. Ship who you want or whatever, just maybe think about why you want to see Colin make herculean efforts to 'earn the right' to Pen's love.

SO earlier I finally mustered up the motivation to sit down and try another drawing stream, right?

I got all comfy, got my stuff set up, felt pretty good

so naturally, the magical gadget I was using to beam my artwork to you lovely people decided "fuck you, I'm broken now" and I had to cry to my genius wife to fix it for me
