It’s not like I don’t TRY to like recent perfumes. I’ll test Prada Paradoxe or Mon Guerlain on skin and I’ll sniff it with a wobbly smile and go “after two hours it smells really nice! I like the dry down…” and then at home I’ll put on some scent described as “leather+powders” and I’ll cry with relief.

#I’ve been debating getting Matcha Meditations because it’s discontinued and I liked it and I need a summer scent but like #I have the sneaking suspicion that my perfect summer scent is out there #and it’ll be called something like ‘old man at the beach’ or something #WAIT!!!!! omg I forgot about my beloved Mandarine brûlée which I need to get #I LOVED that one in summer. so maybe that’ll be it #maybe I also need to try uhhhh that one from Jo Malone with leather.#peony & blush suede? maybe that’ll work for me. not a peony person necessarily but maybe?#and I have my eyes on two discovery sets with spring/summer appropriate scents already. plus some scents to feed sommelier #so they can rec me something
