regarding this question (https://www.tumblr.com/mushroom-madness/712987978507632640/submissions-are-open-until-april-5th), i've seen some other tournaments (i do not remember which and i'm genuinely very sorry if it was this one) have a prelims round where if there are too many high-submission options from any given IP, those get pitted against each other all in one poll to see who gets to represent the entire IP! though that seems like a lot of work it is something i wanted to mention just in case something like that appeals to you!
Yeah that’s what I plan to do! It’s just mostly because there’s LOTS of Pokémon with multiple nominations, and I was wondering if people would rather have all these pokes with multiple submissions in the tourney or to have more characters who were only submitted once! I do plan to do prelims for some IPs once submissions close while I’m assembling the bracket.
#mushroom madness#asks#anon#I’ve already drafted up prelims for Pokémon and plants vs zombies#since they’ve both got more than 2 characters with the same amount of submissions#currently Breloom is guaranteed for Pokémon cause it has 4 nominations while the other 3 qualifiers have 3#there’s also a couple different IPs with two qualifiers and 1 or more submissions with 2 votes#and I wanted to know if people would rather have those than the only once submitted characters#it looks like it’ll be more diverse shroom sources unless the poll turns in on itself before it’s over
