#I’m trying to make sure Peter’s still in there but I’d say it’s more Miguel/MJ focused

Happy New Year! Chp 4 of the faking dating au is up (Emergency Girlfriend Program).

Excerpt:

In the afternoon, Miguel went to the mall where they agreed to meet.

He looked around the seating area, looking for Mary Jane. He spotted Peter in a pale pink button up first. He couldn’t hide the grimace from his face apparently. Peter’s smile waned and went flat.

“Well don’t be too excited to see me.”

“Sorry, I thought I was meeting Mary Jane.”

“Rose, actually,” came her voice from behind. “Might as well stay in character.”

Miguel turned around with a smoothie in her hands, the dark cherry wig on but the wavy hair up in a ponytail except for two wavy locks along her temples. She gave him a quick look over, making him internally glad he went with a casual navy blue polo and slacks to inadvertently match her baby blue sundress.

Peter noticed the blue tinted sunglasses were still on his face. “Even these lights are too bright?”

Miguel turned his head back to Peter. “Not really.” He lightly touched the side of his glasses. “These are more to keep people from gawking.”

Peter snorted. “I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your eyes are not the reason people stare at you.”

“My height, I know.”

“Seriously?” Peter jovially laughed. “You’re fricking handsome, man. You’d make bank as a supermodel.”

Miguel made a sound in the back of his throat, quickly looking away. MJ laughed behind her hand, using her other hand to pat Miguel’s shoulder.

“Alright, stop teasing him Peter.”

Peter shrugged. “Hey, I’m just telling him the truth.”

OKAY SO  it’s rotting in my brain, so all of you get to see it. (Until I delete it later probably.) If you want to go on this wild ride with me. read under the cut!

SO: The Horse and the Infant from Epic: The Musical currently lives in my skull, and since my current brainrot is all things Peter B. This dumb little AU formed in my head. NOW IMAGINE: An AU (LIKE I’M TALKING EXTREME AU we aren’t here for accuracy)  where the spider society was around before the first movie’s events and Peter B is in a polycule with Mary Jane and Miguel. (This is before mayday! We are going to say that Miguel helped Peter get his shit together and mend things with MJ and then also both of them bringing Miguel in.

So Miguel is still in charge of the society obviously and it starts of with Peter just working with the other spiders and then like the big collision happens and the mess of the first movie happens (but obviously altered) and then the immediately after and leading into essientially the plot (a darker version tho) of across the spiderverse.

[PETER B.:] It's just an teeeen, it's just a boy, what sort of imminent threat does he pose that we can not avoid?

[MIGUEL (ENSEMBLE):] This is the non-canon that took a bite from another universe, know that he will grow from a boy to an anomaly One fuelled with determination as you're consumed by age (If you don't end him now you'll have no one left to save) You can say goodbye to Mary Jane.., you can say goodbye to Mary Jane..

[PETER B.  (MIGUEL):] I could take him under my wing! (He will be stubborn and defy you) Or send him far away from home (He'll find you wherever you go) Make sure his love of Gwen is never known (The canon will make him know) I'd rather bleed for ya, down on my knees for ya (He's bringing you down on your knees for ya) I'm begging, please (Oh, this is a canon event.)

Please don't make me do this, don't make me do this

[MIGUEL:] The blood on your hands is something you won't lose

[ALL:] All you can choose is whose
