So I’ve been yet again inspired in that I really want to do a swap au with the Ancients (specifically where they swap with each other), and I’ve got three potential options of how to do it but I’m not sure which to go

I’ll be using Dark Cacao -> Pure Vanilla as my example of what I mean

Change their circumstances/backstories, which in turn changes the characters. Example: the Dark Cacao Kingdom is far less dangerous, the Licorice Sea probably isn’t a threat, and perhaps the area is a magic hub due to all the tribes living there

Change their roles in the team. Example: Dark Cacao is the healer, but his kingdom and personality stays the same

Change their flavors and in turn which kingdom/region they hail from. Example: Dark Cacao is vanilla flavored and comes from the Vanilla Kingdom/where it eventually stands

On one hand I think the first one of the most interesting, but on the other it’s the most difficult to make stuff up for, especially since White Lily still doesn’t have a known backstory prior to the Blueberry Magic Academy or place of origin. Honestly I made the 3rd option because that’s just the simpler version of option 1

Also they wouldn’t be one to one swaps because there’s an odd number of them and doing so would mean one of them has to be unchanged. Unless maybe I add in Elder Faerie as a 6th member to swap

Or I could swap the Ancients with the 5 elemental Legendaries, since I remember that was an old idea I had and it might be more interesting

I don’t know, I just want to make a swap au right now
