5 things you’ll find in my backpack - My intro to Criminal Justice textbook, it’s the only class I took this semester and we literally went to jail for a field trip.  Like up close and personal with criminals y’all it was lit. - My extensive stash of colorful pens, pencils, and markers.  I have a slight problem, okay? - A couple coloring books.  I usually do this when I’m stressed or nervous, it’s a really good source of relaxation, highly recommend if you struggle with anxiety like I do. - My laptop.  I always have it with me when I’m out and about. - My journal.  Once again, it helps with stress and anxiety.  If there’s ever anything I need to get off my chest, I write it down and it makes me feel much better.  I also use it to write down ideas for stories, that way I don’t forget.

5 things you’ll find in my bedroom - My small but growing record collection.  I love music more than anything and to be honest, everything sounds better on vinyl.  Just for reference, I mainly enjoy classic rock music like the Rolling Stones, Kiss, Queen, AC/DC, etc. but I also listen to a lot of traditional/vocal jazz/swing like Frank Sinatra.  I have a wide variety of music tastes, but the only thing I can’t stand is rap. - All of my stuffed animals.  There are so many, mainly Disney characters and cute animals (I still sleep with Oli the Otter, go ahead, judge me). - Makeup.  I have so much of it, including some special-fx items.  I love doing makeup, on myself and others.  I love makeup.  I love it, damnit. - My Bible.  The Word of the Lord keeps me going, man. - Vintage posters.  I have quite a few different tin posters on my wall of Elvis Presley and a bunch of Rosie the Riveter, women in the workforce posters as well.

5 things I’ve always wanted to do in life - Travel outside the country.  I’ve never been outside the U.S. border.  Heck, I don’t even have a passport.  I’d love to travel the world. - Be on Broadway.  I love to perform (mainly for myself), but it’s a dream of mine to be on the big stage in NYC as Velma Kelly from Chicago in a Broadway musical.  She’s a boss ass bitch and I would love to star as her someday, and all that jazz... i’ll go home - Get my degree.  When I manage to get my degree, I’ll be the first in my family to get it, so that’s a huge goal of mine. - It’s a cliche, but I’ve never been sky diving.  That would be tight. - Fall in love.  Another cliche, but I’ve never really been in love with anyone (that I know personally anyways oops im obsessed with fictional character and celebs who dont know i exist), so that would be p cool if you ask me.

5 things on my To-Do list - WRITE.  Man, I’ve been so stressed about school and how finals are coming up and I’ve been ignoring the fact that I have about seventy requests still sitting in my inbox from two months ago.  I’m going to focus on writing after finals, I promise. - Drink more water.  It’s important.  Nuff said. - Sing a cover and actually post it.  I’ve always talked about in the past how I want to post covers online, but never get around to it.  That’s gotta change. - Get fit and eat healthy.  I really need to work out and stop putting it off like i do all the time.  Time to get in shape.  Get off your lazy ass, Ashley!! - Have a good summer.  I fucking deserve it!

5 things people may not know about me - Well, I sing.  It’s not a huge secret, but until I made this post, you guys didn’t know that. - My last name is German.  I’m not going to tell you guys what it is, but when people see it, they always mispronounce it because it’s German. - I can out drink my 21 year old sister.  I have a really high tolerance for alcohol, thank you dad for blessing me with that gene it’s great honestly. - I lost my virginity younger than my sister, and she doesn’t even know it.  I was 16 when I lost it.  I think she was 18 when she lost hers.  I’m telling you guys a lot about my sister lol oops. - I have depression and anxiety.  I’ve suffered with it since I was 17 and my best friend, her name is Tiffany, she practically saved my life.  I love her.

I sat down and started crying and told my friend to just go home, that I would call my mother because I felt really bad. My mother however received a phonecall from my ‘best friend’ and she told her that I completely misbehaved myself and that she didn’t wanted to be seen with me anymore. My mother got angry at me, but after explaining what happened she was just as clueless as I was. This has actually been quite traumatic for me, especially because I needed a friend and she ran away, probably out of fear of being bullied herself. But it was very confusing. I was pretty much trying to trust a person after having been single for 6 years and I have no idea what we had. He didn’t want a relationship because he wasn’t ready and I was fine with that. But I was not fine with him messing with my feelings the way he did. Receiving mixed signals is just messed up. The one day he was talking about ‘if we ever get married’, then another day he says ‘I saw this girl walking yesterday and fell in love’, another day he is begging me not to go home, and yet another day he is openly flirting on Facebook on a post which I also replied to while he is ignoring me. He didn’t really treated me bad when I was with him, he was actually really kind to me. But I can’t deal with mixed signals. It makes me feel like I am not good enough so I got out of it. Actually quite proud of this, as it means I am really progressing and I have become more immune to manipulation.
