Humans are Space Orcs, “Medal of Honor.”
Ok that second to last part was hard to write, damn. Anyway read to the end to get an idea of where the next arc is going :)
A gentle breeze cut over the open field outside UNSC headquarters. Blue UN flags whipped lightly in the wind, and the sun shone down, though its rays beat against a crowd of somber figures all dressed sharply for the morning, men and women alike.
Camera crews had set up just off to the side of the stage, where Admiral Kelly stood in her dress greys along with white gloves and cords at the shoulder, her hands resting against the lectern as if searching for support somewhere.
“And it is with great regret that I must report Commander Vir of the UNSC Missing in Action.”
This was not news to the assembled crowd, so there was no gasping, no cries of alarm, only solemn silence.
“Commander Vir was…. a … a true representative of what it means to be human, and what it means to be a member of the UNSC. He was brave, loyal, diligent, and, from personal experience, I can vouch for his character as one of the best men I have ever known. He was a man who…. Wasn’t afraid to be himself, kind, trusting, and fun-loving. There were at times were members of the UNSC wondered if he was ready to command a ship. There were times when we questioned whether he was even capable of leading, but it is more than safe to say that Commander Adam Allen Vir has proved himself without a doubt. Two nights ago, the U.N.S.S Harbinger was set upon by a burg surprise attack. Commander vir took charge of the fleet admirably, though sources and footage report a linking of 40 kree satellites that created some sort of…” She paused here, “We aren't entirely sure, a black hole, or wormhole, or warp, tunnel. Commander Vir’s ship was caught in the pull.”
Kelly straightened up, “And in an act of great honor and selflessness, commander Vir initiated the shatter protocol. Because of his efforts, the rest of the harbinger crew made it out alive with only three casualties, and one life pod still missing in action. The ship itself will undergo reassembly at the Europa station. “ More flags flapped, and behind her on the stage, five other Admirals, the secretary of intergalactic affairs, the GA representative, and the UN President sat heads bowed slightly.
“Commander Vir, remained in command until his signal was lost. Efforts are currently being made to determine what the device did, so we can definitely determine what happened to Earths favorite hero.”
She turned stepping back a little as the UN president stood and walked forward clearing his throat two assistants walking behind him off to the side of the stage a man was brought up. He wore a well worn-but finely tailored suit, though is eyes were red. The UN president straightened his back and turned to look at the man as cameras flashed , “After deliberation with the UN council and members of the GA, we have determined that Commander Vir’s actions in battle are of the highest degree, and would thus award him the UNSC Medal of Honor.” The two assistants Flipped open the two identical cases as pictures snapped, and the boxes were eventually handed over to Jim Vir who took them in shaking hands.
“The UNSC and the GA thank your son for his service, and we will do everything in our power to get him home…. No matter what.”
The man’s face remained stoically flat, though in the bright light of the sun golden tears rolled down his cheeks, and dripped onto the velvet interior of the case. He was led from stage as admiral Kelly returned to her feet, “The burg have harassed and harried the GA and the UNSC almost since inception. Their actions over the Kree home world are reprehensible, and as of now the GA has declared open war on the Burg, a decision that the UNSC unanimously supports. We will not bow before tyrants, and it is now that we ask young men and women of earth, of Mars and of the colonies, tot take up arms like commander Vir in defense of earth, and in defense of the galaxy. Let us not, allow his sacrifice to go meaningless.”
***
“No, he’s not dead!” “Mrs Vir.
“He's not dead! I would know if he's dead, and I know he’s not dead!”
Maverick stood in the center of the Vir family living room her hands clasped before her. This was her least favorite duty as ship chaplain, but she hadn’t wanted anyone else to do it.
Martha Vir walked in a tight circle ringing her hands.
“Ma’am.”
“Don’t you ma’am me! We should be out there looking for him! He could be sick or hurt or or…
“Ma’am, the UNSC is doing everything in their power. As of now he is only considered Missing in action, not dead.” She reached out a hand to rest on the woman’s shoulder but took it back at the last moment, “Things are not without hope.”
Across the room Jim Vir stood staring out the window back hunched head bowed. His hard calloused hands were balled into fists at his sides.
Jeremy sat on the couch looking dumbstruck shaking his head, “no…. No i’m sure hes alright, that bastard could survive anything he…. Hes like that, our little brother.”
Across from him David stood with his partner Jordan. David’s cheek twitched hard eyes filling up with moisture that he tried to hold back as he looked up at the ceiling. David wrapped his arms around him, and as soon as that happened David broke dropping his head into one hand body shaking silently.
Maya sat shell shocked in her father’s favorite chair .
There was silence for a long moment and then, “This is bullshit!” Everyone turned to where Thomas had stood knocking over a chair in the process. His scruffy hair was in disarray, “This is some fucking bullshit!”
“Thomas!”
“No! Don’t THOMAS me, this if bull- shit! You should be out there looking for him! Because he's fucking alive, so fuck you and, and all of your stupid….” His voice cut off, and he stood there mouth opening and closing for a moment before he turned and raced out the door slamming it behind him as he went.
Everyone was silent.
“I’m sorry about Th-” “It's ok…. I get it, and I feel the same way.”
Outside Thomas paced around the front yard before sitting on the front step head in his hands.
Sobbing quietly.

Cannon had to pry open the door from the outside. The frame had been warped and bent at some point, and that made it difficult to get inside. His heart was pounding as the other marines worked to help him. Jamming his spear into the crack, and with all four of them resting their body weight on it, they were just able to pop the seal.
There was a sharp hiss as the interior of the compartment pressurized to the air around it. Cannon rammed his shoulder into the door once twice, and then finally it popped inward the warped damage to the inside fixed enough for the door to slide open.
Deep blue light filtered in from the docking bay of captain Koslov’s ship and into the interior compartment falling on a figure kneeling at it’s center.
Cannon went to rush forward hands outstretched to the figure but paused in horror. The room was covered in blood, orange like the rising sun over Anin. A broken steel spear shaft lay on the ground snapped in half like a stick over a child’s knee. At the center of this carnage, She knelt blue carapace marred with blood hands twisted into claws torn and bleeding The metal about the room had been dented beyond repair, long scratches marred the metal.
“Sunny,” He whispered softly
When no answer came, he stepped forward into the room and walked over, slowly kneeling down before her.
Both sets of her hands rested on her legs, and her head was bowed eyes closed.
He reached out resting a hand over hers, “Sunny?”
Slowly her eyes opened, and she tilted her head up to look at him. Little droplets of blood speckled her face though the expression was completely dead, dead mostly but for the burning rage behind her golden eyes. He sat back in shock.
He had only ever seen that look on one other person in his life.
On the face of General Cosma after the death of their father.
“I’m going to kill them all.”

Waffles waited on the tarmac at Fort Harmony airbase, and waited, and waited. She stood, walked around for a bit, then sat down.
She waited resting her head on her paws and staring up at the sky.
She waited as the sun grew high into noon and then sunk downwards towards the distant ocean. She could smell it on the air, a salty tang.
She waited as the sun dipped towards the horizon.
Waffles stood picking up the dusty white captain’s cap in her mouth and walking over to a patch of grass where she sat and continued to wait. The smell on the hat was still strong. Off in the distance engines roared, and she perked her ears up, standing on the tarmac and watching as an F-90 darkfire rolled down onto the field. Her tail began to wag and she broke into a trot towards the taxiing plane. Her body wiggled and her nose twitched with excited sniffling.
The canopy opened, and waffle’s tail dropped sagging towards the hot tarmac that burned her paws a little. She let the dusty cap drop from her mouth and onto the hot surface flopping down beside it, her nose resting where, with every breath, she could smell the familiar scent.
She whined quietly, looking up as a figure walked forward over the tarmac.
It was a distantly familiar smell but not the one she wanted. Chief Palmer stopped next to her and knelt down, running a gentle hand over her ears. His voice was soft, “Still waiting, huh girl?”
She beat her tail half-heartedly against the ground.
He stood, “Come on girl, lets go inside.” She didn’t move
He whistled, and her ears twitched, but she didn’t come. He sighed and walked over sitting next to her, “Well, maybe we can wait together for a little bit. It grew dark as they waited, and he stroked a gentle hand down her back.
After a bit, he reached over gently pulling the cap from under her snout. She lifted her head, “Promise I’ll give it back.” he said taking a moment to dust the dirt from the white top before handing it back.
‘“I have to go ok.” He said standing, “But I understand you have to wait.”
She whimpered softly. He bit his lip and turned away wiping at his eyes with the back of his sleeve.
The sun sunk lower, lights flicked on over the tarmac. Men in orange vests passed by patting her on the head and whispering soft things to her as they did. One man came by with a blanket, draped over her form the cold.
A figure in white billowed behind her its strange human voice inside her head waiting with her.
The night got colder, and Waffles looked up at the sky whimpering softly at the stars, waiting, still waiting.
***
The inky blue sky was alight with fire as debris rained down from above. Animals raced over the sandy dunes across an inland sea in fear and shock as great pieces of metal crashed to the ground with fiery explosions.
A small metal ball with the lines. LIFE POD 37 on the outside crashed towards the sea.
Overhead the night sky was dominated by the glowing rings formed about the planet, and the glowing orbit of Seven moons, some barely pinpricks against the night.

#7 Beyond Stasis
Read it on AO3 here.
There had never been a worse time to be a Praxic Warlock.
Aunor seethed. Seethed when she read the reports, seethed observing Guardians hurling icy walls around the Crucible like kids playing snowball fight, seethed when she overheard people throwing stones at Zavala for his so-called cowardice and close-mindedness. She had to take a break from work to go to the gym and punch some stuff after spotting the Drifter in the Tower for the first time since his return from Europa; he had flashed her the most shameless grin and she was within an inch of knocking all his teeth out.
She used to revere Eris Morn. Both for her knowledge and bravery, as well as out of compassion for what she had been through. But the further she pushed the line between Light and Darkness, the more doubts popped up in Aunor’s head. She knew Eris was strong; balancing on the edge of the sword, tapping her fingers in Hive magic to rip them right into the Hive’s heart, she had touched the evil and tamed it long before Aunor even came to be. But not everyone was Eris Morn. Each day brought another Guardian who had dared too close, coming back dark-eyed and wild, their Ghost shuddering or weeping or, worse, corrupted as they were. Apocalyptic thoughts plagued Aunor as she sat by hospital beds, watching them bleed out the corruption through eyes and mouth, some screaming in horror as nightmares were twisting their brain. Each day was another record in the notebook, another Guardian gone dark or missing, another team sent out to keep an eye on Crucible matches or track the spoor of corruption leading out into the wild.
It was a beautiful morning, the sun hanging low over the horizon and shining through the skeletal branches of trees shedding their last leaves. The woods were within half an hour’s walk from the City walls, and Aunor enjoyed the autumn breeze on her face chasing away the frown she had been unknowingly wearing. She made her way to a clearing, now almost indistinguishable amongst the barren trees hadn’t it been for the hunched figure of Shin Malphur. Sunlight reflected off his helmet, making him seem strangely radiant even without the flames of his Golden Gun. She stopped a few meters away, and acknowledged him with a nod.
“Someone’s coming home.”
“The City has never been my home.” He took the helmet off and ran a hand through the auburn mess that was his hair, not smoothing them down in the slightest. Aunor had not seen him for only a few months, but it seemed during this time he’d grown even frailer. Sunken cheeks and circles under the eyes, cape tattered at the edges and stitched clumsily around the shoulder blades, lips dry and chapped; he was shaved clean, though, a detail clashing with his haggard appearance like diamonds with a tracksuit.
“Sightseeing, then?” She put her arms on her hips.
“Lately the Crucible is a sight to behold.” Malphur was examining one of his gloves; eventually he squinted, took out a knife and snipped a loose thread. “I heard you’re running out of bed space.”
Aunor scoffed, “Are you here to free some of it?”
“If it’s necessary.”
Malphur was still looking at his gloves with feigned interest, and she stretched the silence long enough for him to finally turn his eyes to her.
“I’m not gonna pretend I could outrun you. But if your final goal has not changed, then it aligns with ours.” She nodded slightly as if to stress the words. “I propose… cooperation.”
Malphur shoot an eyebrow up but held her gaze.
“Meaning?”
“No one can chase the Dark so well without falling themself. And we need eyes in the wild. You’ll be free to hunt the corrupted as long as you spare the Ghosts, and we will make sure these Guardians can’t endanger anyone. Including themselves.”
“You’re sticking to ineffective methods.”
Aunor clenched her fists, lighting fizzling on the tips of her fingers.
“Sometimes I wonder if you’re simply killing for the fun of it.”
He glared at her, weary eyes behind the unruly mass of hair.
“What makes you think you can save them?”
“We already are.” She stared into these weary eyes boldly, her voice sharp. “We both know the situation is getting out of control. The enemy is infecting our ranks and soon will tear us apart from the inside. You’ll never hunt them all down alone, and we’re not gonna make it any easier for you. If you’re true to your cause… we need each other’s help.”
Malphur’s lips quirked ever so slightly, “Is the Praxic Order compromising?”
Aunor crossed her arms, shooing away the sudden thought of compromising his face. “The rules haven’t changed.”
“The rules mean nothing in a lawless world.”
“Oddly, you sound like the Drifter.”
She revelled in the grimace that twisted Malphur’s features at the words. “Hire him to hunt down problematic cases if you’re so keen on extending your contact list,” he sneered, sheathing the knife still in his hand. Sunlight flickered on the blade. “Come to think of it, when he was herding them into a neat little paddock, I recall you tried to take him out.”
“If all you’ve got are condescending remarks, I’m going back to the City. I’ve wasted enough time.”
“Not that much in need of eyes in the wild now?” He called after her when she started to turn away.
“What a jerk,” Bahaghari murmured in the comms, and Aunor held back a smirk. Oh, he was. But try as he might, in his stupid, douchy core he was still a Hunter; and by the rules of Darwinian evolution, the one trait all Hunters shared was their wild hatred of being ignored.
She walked away, leaving Malphur alone in the clearing just as a stray leaf landed atop the bulk of his stupid hair, then plopped to the ground.
*
Ten hours later a letter was already sitting on her desk, neatly folded in four and unsigned. Aunor supposed physical messages were much harder to track, but she would gladly appreciate them typed rather than scrawled in inscrutable handwriting.
“Fine, have it your way. Disastrous effects are bound to surface after a month, but have it your way. 7000 Glimmer a head.”
Well, can’t have everything, she thought, blessing the eternal vulnerability of a Hunter’s pride, and folded the note.

Movie meme
I was tagged by @missbeckywrites! This seemed really fun as I was reading your answers, so thanks for tagging me!
Favorite movie: Primer. It’s a science fiction film in which a few engineers accidentally invent time travel while trying to build an anti-grav device in their garage on the weekends
Movie that makes you remember your childhood: Claymation Christmas. We would almost ritualistically watch the same handful of Christmas movies every year and this is one of them
Favorite Tom Hanks movie: Apollo 13, hands down.
Movie that makes you cry: A lot of them, lol. I’m a sympathetic crier. But I’ll pick Secondhand Lions because my coworkers were discussing it so it’s on my mind
Favorite 80s movie: Back to the Future. I’m sure there are other movies from that era that I like better but BttF just SCREAMS 80s in a way that a lot of other movies don’t
Favorite comedy: Because one of the earlier questions has me thinking about Christmas and Christmas movies, I’m gonna say National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation
Favorite sports movie: Little Giants. Yes the one about the children. I was five when it came out and my baby trans ass really identified with Becky, and thought that other people judging her for being masculine was a huge, huge injustice
Favorite courtroom movie: I think the only courtroom movie I’ve ever seen is My Cousin Vinny
Favorite war movie: I literally cannot think of a war movie i’ve seen more than once
Favorite animated movie: Mulan. I wish they sold Mulan-as-Ping action figures
Favorite horror movie: idk if this counts as horror, but I’m gonna go with the Europa Report. It’s probably more scifi but it’s got enough horror tropes in it for me to count it
Favorite gangster movie: My original answer was The Sting but that’s only tangentially gangster related. So I’m gonna go with Guys and Dolls. though now i’m questioning if they’re gangsters either...
Most overrated movie: there’s an era of movies that came out when I was in high school that i particularly dislike. Movies with this ‘omg we’re so quirky’ feel that always seems fake to me. Napoleon Dynamite and Juno are two good examples of them
Movie with the best soundtrack: Can I say Guys and Dolls again lol? Any musical with Sondheim music, then. I’m particularly fond of Into The Woods, but that’s possibly also because I’ve seen it on stage a few times by amateur theater groups
Movie you can watch over and over: The Mummy. Soooo gooood
Most embarrassing movie you love: Batman vs Superman. ok just listen. it is unabashedly full of comic book tropes. every cheesy bit and stupid twist is something i could see coming right out of a comic book
Favorite Christmas movie: Muppet Christmas Carol. Muppet versions of books are the best versions, hands down
Favorite sequel: I’ve put literally three different Star Trek movies down here before changing my mind and deciding I like another one better. Wrath of Khan, Generations, First Contact. on the one hand you have the OG crew in one of their best appearances, on the other hand you have the movie that literally handed off the reigns to the TNG crew, on the other OTHER hand you have what is arguably one of the best Star Trek movies out there
that was fun! i’m tagging @cloudyjenn, @nephrysai, @cerulean-beekeeper, @popkin16, @dayzor, @laglemon and if there’s anyone else who wants to do this, consider yourself tagged

We are playing in Leverkusen next year - as of right now!
Julian Brandt und Kai Havertz are considered to be the future of German football. Here they will discuss offers from other clubs, piano lessons, and haircuts.
aka a translation of something that could have easily been just done by google translate but i wanted to give a stab at it!
Interviewer: Out of the DFB-Pokal against Heidelheim, out of the Europa league against Krasnodar on Thursday, and yet at the same time Leverkursen is the best team in the second half of the Bundesliga season. How does that happen simultaneously?
Julian Brandt (J): It’s hard to say. Being knocked out of both competitions, entirely deserved, is a bitter pill to swallow. Krasnodar was very good and we were bad that day. We didn’t try hard enough for a goal.
You can make up for it against Dortmund?
Kai Havertz (K): That’s right. We travel there with confidence after winning the last four games in the Bundesliga. That gives us momentum, even when there are easier tasks than an away game in Dortmund.
Is the season unsatisfying for Leverkusen?
K: I wouldn’t say that, seeing that were are in 5th place. Eintracht Frankfurt is rightfully hyped up and behind us, so we can’t be too bad. Of course the first half of the season was disappointing but now we have chances to finish the season off on a good note.
And then next season will be a fight for the first place?
K: Of course but we say that before every season (smiles)
J: (chuckles) Be careful! Soon, the headlines will say, “Havertz wants to be Bundesliga champions next season!”
K: Champions might be a stretch. But with our way of playing football, we can definitely achieve a lot. We will see if that is enough for first place. It depends on many factors.
J: You’re right. As a player, you want to get the most out of it and that means first place in the Bundesliga. You don’t say, “My goal is around fifth place.” For me, my goal is the top ranking although I can realistically assess how difficult that is, of course.
Can you guarantee that you will try to reach this goal next season together? (hinting at transfer)
J: As of right now, yes.
K: I agree although football is a very fast business with no guarantees. But Jule said it right: We are here now and we both have contracts so we will both play together for Bayer Leverkusen next season, as of right now.
Everything a question of money?
K: Also a question of money, of course. That is how it is in professional football and applies for clubs and players.
Now on this topic, we must ask the FC Bayern question and about the big interest they are reported to have in you.
K: There is a lot of talk about that. My focus is on Leverkusen. Everything else does not interest me right now.
And you are also in FC Bayern’s focus, Mr. Brandt.
J: The question is the same as always: where do these rumors come from? And do they come from the club itself or from other sources? Of course it is a nice recognition as a player when you are connected with big clubs. But you can’t buy anything else from that.
Do you, as young players with high potentials, need to leave Bayern Leverkusen to become a big star?
J: Everyone must decide that for themselves. For me it is clear, that Leverkusen offers the stage to become a star. Then again I also believe, with players like Arturo Vidal or André Schürrle, that you can need to choose another way.
You two are good friends. Would you tell each other about offers that exist?
J: We are very close to each other but so far, that has not been the case. It is also not the case that our agents call us daily and tell us who wants us.
K: If there was something concrete, I would tell Jule...
J: And then I would negotiate your new contract (smiles)
You’ve known each other for three years...
K: True. But I followed Jules’ path longer. When he made is debut at 17, I was 14. His path was a model for me, I wanted to get it right like he did and tried to learn from him.
J: Now I’m turning red.
What did you learn from watching him, Mr. Havertz?
J: Nonsense!
K: Of course that’s ridiculous! (grins) But Jule has already been in a World Cup, won the Confederations Cup, played in the Champions League. One can risk taking a look at someone like that. As a person and a footballer, we work well together. We function very similarly and are both very down to earth.
J: I can only affirm that.
Do you still play piano, Mr. Havertz?
K: Yes. Actually, I used to play almost every day and take lessons. Unfortunately, I do that less these days.
J: He has played on the piano for me before.
K: “See You Again” by Wiz Khalifa from the movie “Furious 7″
And you played the Guitar?
J: No but I have actually tried to start learning guitar a few times. Unfortunately, I let that go a bit during the World CUp.
You should make a boyband.
K: We don’t have a singer.
J: Maybe we can persuade Wendell (teammate on Bayern Leverkusen). He is good. And Kevin Volland also plays guitar, that would be the fourth man.
What does making music mean to you?
J: It’s a great balance, good for the head. Kai plays really well. Maybe he will become the new Beethoven.
Both of you contradict the cliché of the young superficial player, that only plays Playstation.
J: We do that to, it’s fun. But not only that.
Do you order a hairdresser before going into a Hotel?
J: Those people play for Dortmund. To be honest, I can’t get upset about it at all. I don’t do it and I couldn’t care less if others did it. I always have the time to regularly go in the city to get a hair cut.
K: Yeah, there are players who get the contours of their hairstyle redone before every game. I don’t need that but anyone can do what he wants.
You are considered as carrying the hope in a dim time of German football.
J: I know the discussion but I don’t take part. I think the 1995 and 1996 years have many good players: Goretzka, Kimmich, Süle, Gnabry, Werner, Sané, Amiri, Dahoud, Weigl - all these people have shown that they can do it. After them, one must wait for further development. Kai definitely stands out, also Arne Maier and Fiete Arp. But that’s just how it is. Of course, that’s a certain amount of pressure but we are still young. The national team still has a good framework for the next years.

Let me know if I made any mistakes in this translation :)
#julian brandt#kai havertz#bravertz#germany nt#bayer leverkusen#stimmt? thats such a good word and theres not a good english translation really...#also im so shit at this i really need to work on my german#anyway hope people enjoy it!

Devlog Update 148
Hey, we’re back!
Actually, Garret is still on his plane home right now, but he already made some nice new Western theme objects anyways! They are inspired by some of the theming we saw at Phantasialand:
And Luuk added an option for building blueprints without scenery. This is especially useful for scenarios when money is tight, or if you want to theme the ride yourself.
And we’ve done some work on a new ride - more on that next week :)
Travel report
As some of you know, we went on a trip to 3 major theme parks in Europe a week ago. The idea was to gain some insight into real park operations, and collect reference and research for scenery and new rides (and also have some good old fashioned fun). Our trip started in southern Germany, where we visited Europa Park. If you've never been, it's a very large park with incredible theming and high production values. We rode all eleven coasters (some twice) and a number of scenic rides. We got a behind-the-scenes tour of Blue Fire, allowing us to see the trains up close from all sides. That was pretty cool after years of trying to figure out details on blurry images off the web :D Our favorite coaster at this park was Wodan, a very fast wooden coaster. Not the most intense ride in the park but a really fun one!
Wodan
Next was Phantasialand near Cologne. This is the smallest park we visited, but it’s still home to some excellent coasters (many of them hold some sort of record) and great theming. Again, we rode every coaster, most notably the twin-launched coaster Taron, which is the 4 of us' favourite coaster of the trip. I would recommend visiting this park just to ride this coaster. We also spent some time on the other rides, and got plenty soaked on River Quest (a river rapid ride that’s impossible to leave dry in our experience) and Chiapas (the log flume with the steepest drop in the world).
Taron - most intersecting track points on any coaster
Lastly we visited Efteling in the Netherlands. A large, fantasy themed park with some heavy theming and a couple bigger coasters. We rode most of the rides we wanted to, though sadly Villa Volta broke down as soon as we entered it. I'm pretty sure our favorite coaster here was the dueling wooden coaster Joris en de Draak.
Joris en de Draak
We took plenty of pictures of scenery and rides to help us add more content to Parkitect. We're especially interested in adding LIM/LSM segments to coasters in the short term as well as some interior rides and calm/scenic rides that are more raised-track friendly. We can't wait to share those with you as we build them in the near future!

Demonologist study demons.
Demonolators study demons and worship them as divine beings.
Satanists adhere to Satan and or may not include demons in their religion or practice.
These terms can overlap, but don’t need to.
With this I’d like to quickly introduce myself. Hi, I’m Vorst and I’m both a Satanist and a demonolator, though Satan is my God, above everyone else. I’m also oath-bound to Him, which means I’ve promised to worship Him my entire life.
With this a warning: don’t make oaths for the fun of it. Changing your mind can happen, and in experience: neither gods nor demons will take kindly to oath-breakers.
Where does the word ‘demon’ come from?
The word comes from the Ancient Greek word 'δαιμον’, which the Romans also wrote as 'daemon’ later on in their own literature.
The meaning of the word 'daemon’ is: a spirit between gods and Man. You can see that the Greeks nor the Romans ever saw daemons as malicious spirits.
That changed with the rise of Christianity and Abrahamic religions in general. In contrary to Roman tactics, some of the now newly conquered Christian countries slowly began to forbid and shun any worship of gods and spirits outside of their own pantheon.
To the eyes of the Christian in these places, foreign beliefs were seen to be evil, corrupt and disfigured. Their gods being viewed as evil beings, out there to ruin people’s lives. They were to be portrayed as such that no one would ever want to associate themselves with these deities, and so previously normal words to describe certain entities had now gotten a sinister meaning.
That is the reason why people in modern times have taken it upon themselves to use 'daemon’ again instead of 'demon’, to distinguish themselves from the people who see them as solely malicious.
What are demons?
In modern shows and TV-series most hold on to their favourite stereotypes: terrifying evil creatures constantly possessing humans. In the more obscure films and media forms, they’re starting to slowly get to the truth of demons, usually portraying their wit and intelligence. This is most likely due to Christianity becoming less influential - and the fact that controversy is a great hit in everything.
Darker parts of the human self. Our darker emotions, such as fear, anger and sadness are seen as our personal demons. But also addiction, violent behaviour and sexual acts, as demons themselves are often associated with exactly these. These inner demons, as they are called, are obviously not the demons I will be discussing.
In reality, the entities known as demons are spirits and/or gods from ancient times. Most of the time, however, there is a line between when an entity is considered a demon, and when a god. Satan, per example, is referred to being both “the God of this world” and the king of demons. Some say he is not a demon, and some say he’s a demon but not the leader.
Another example of this is Astarte. Both seen as the female counterpart of the demon Astaroth, but she is also known as the Middle Eastern goddess Ishtar, worshipped from the Bronze Age in the ancient Levant among the Canaanites and Phoenicians.
Another example being Beelzebub, the Lord of Flies, as Biblical scholar Thomas Kelly Cheyne suggested that it might be a corruption of the name Ba‘al Zəbûl, “Lord of the High Place” (i.e., Heaven) or “High Lord” - a god previously worshipped.
The line between whether demons are gods or spirits is fairly vague. It is also worth noting that some have mentioned that some, like Astarte, might take offence to being referred to as a demon, so do be aware when contacting them and ask them what they want to be referred to as.
Possession.
When people do feel like they’re possessed it’s usually either that they’re not well in touch with their inner selves, or that they’re influenced by negative energy of maybe a spirit. Though it is far more often the first scenario that’s causing the sensation. Of course, this excludes people with mental issues, who I advice to seek professional help in these cases. Also, therapists can help too.
Are demons evil?
Demons are as equally evil as gods are, as demonolators see them as divine beings. We all know gods of war, and yet they were worshipped. We know of gods who have murdered, assaulted and committed various human crimes and were and/or are still worshipped. There are various reasons for this, one being that gods can never be wrong, as they are not bound by human rules and transcend human morality. This, however, is more of a philosophical idea so I will not elaborate on that now.
Because demons are often portrayed as having characteristics similar to humans, one could never fully call a demon solely evil, nor could they ever be solely good.
This will probably make you wonder:
Is it reasonable to fear demons?
Absolutely. Whereas not per se evil, all are capable of acting hostile - this being their one trait everyone agrees on.
Demons are ancient and powerful entities that often care not for human problems. They often view humans as either acceptable or downright worthless to them.
And why would they in any other way?
In most religious practices, a god grants a human their prayer to come true when the human has presented themselves favourable to said god.
In the case of demons? They require no worship. Some gods don’t need worship either, but in the case of demons they appear completely separate from humanity. Despite that, as demons are closer to the raw core of human emotions than the general god would be, demons feed on the strongest of feelings: sadness, anger, fear, love and happiness. Demons are seen as spiritual predators in this regard.
As they require nor seem to desire an active response from humans, they are not inclined to mix themselves with mortals.
This does not mean a demon will never be genuinely kind. They will be. But do note that demons are skilled tricksters in getting what they want through fake promises and sweet lies.
When assured a demon expresses interest, kindness and acceptance a mutual agreement can be agreed on.
Banishing a demon?
So before I go into working with them, I’ll discuss how to get rid of them. First of all: ask them to leave. Be polite. Maybe they’re just simply approaching you.
If that does not work, try salt or spells to make others distance yourself from you.
You could also try and evoke another authority figure, like your god, to protect you.
Don’t engage them in a fight. Antagonized demons are the last you would want.
Working with demons?
Demons are wise teachers and are willing to share their secrets when either politely asked or forced to do so.
Either way seems to work fine, and have different names as well.
Evoking a demon is the act of forcefully conjuring a demon in your space, as in shown and described in the book of the Lesser Key of Solomon.
Invoking a demon is the act of inviting a demon in your space. You leave it up to the demon whether or not they show up.
The latter is obviously far more polite; modern demonolators prefer that one and I will be discussing that one the most.
Invocation differs from person to person. But, I will now state the general idea of doing this safely.
Always go for an invocation and never an evocation. This is personal advice. Demons will not be pleased if you force them. When casting a circle, during invocation the demon will be inside the circle together with you, with positive energy.
During evocation, the demon will be trapped inside the circle, the person outside looking in. Honestly, it’s terrible to start an acquaintanceship like that.
In order to prevent antagonizing the demon, be polite and go for an invocation. An invocation can be as difficult as you want it to be, in its simplest form it can even be as small as a prayer.
In my case, I cleanse my room, surround myself with a mental barrier (or through a smell I associate with Satan) where I invite the demon in. Then I draw a general summoning circle in the air. This can be done with a ritual knife, athame, wand or you hands. When using a sharp object do remember not to stab it in the air as if it’s an attack.
We don’t tend to attempt to knife our guests.
Afterward, or during, I say the Enn for the specific demon I wish to invoke.
Enns are short sentences in an unknown language, claimed to be demonic, of invitation, admiration or requests of protections. There are various theories on how they were found. The first demonolator who wrote them down was Alexander Willit in the 16th century. Later, other demonolators used them in their practice too. We know it is a language, with grammar, but we do not know the grammar itself yet. We do know the meaning of some sentences. Because we know little, we also do not know how to correctly pronounce these enns. Say it how you want.
Some examples of this language and their translation: “Ganic Tasa Fubin Flereous” could be translated as Fire protect the flame, Lord Flereous, per example. Another example is the enn for Barbatos, which is: “Eveta fubin Barabatos”.
After that, I go and meditate until I feel a presence. When I do, I politely try to communicate with the demon, mentally or verbally. There are various ways a demon can show itself depending on your spiritual state. Experienced demonolators reported manifestations so strong they initially thought someone had broken into their house.
When done, I thank the demon and end the invocation. This can be as simple as saying goodbye and as complex as an entire ritual. Do what you feel works best.

Lesson 7: Demons
By: Admin Vorst
Live class date and time: To Be Determined
Demonologist, demonolator and Satanists.
Murphy’s Law
-Shit, what happened now?
-I was walking Donnie, then I saw a white bird…and then you started to have a seizure. Damn it.
-It’s really bright in here; I must be in the hospital.
-Wait, I can’t move.
-Oh fuck, did I fall and break my neck? Am I dead? Oh shit Oh god Oh shit
***SCREECH***
-What the fuck is that?!?! WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING!???!
~~~~SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS: COMPLETE~~~~
-What the hell. I’m ‘seeing’ this, but not…
~~~~LOADING…~~~~
~~~~Bioelectricity - 10%~~~~
~~~~Temperature - ~~~~
-Seriously, what in the fuck is going on?
***Hello, Mr. Murphy. You are safe. You can call me ‘Linda’. I am here to help you transition back.
-The voice I ‘hear’ is calming, very reassuring. I could swear it was my Mom’s…
***Mr. Murphy, may I call you Walter?
-I try to open my mouth to say “Just call me Walt” when
***Okay ‘Walt’. Like I stated before, I am here to help you transition back.
-What do you mean transition back?
***Do you remember participating in the Musk Industries SEYMORE Program?
-Yea, wasn’t that the… I’M DEAD?!?
***Calm down Walt. Yes, you did die, on a Tuesday, April 4th 2034.
-Wha…what happened, did I break my neck having a seizure? What about Donnie?
***The medical report states that you did have a seizure, but that isn’t what killed you. It says you died from a massive amount of hornet stings. When you had the seizure, you seem to have fallen into a hornet’s nest…and your spasms only made things worse.
***Donnie was fine: he was able to get off his leash and that’s how the police found your body. Unfortunately, it was too late to revive you.
-So I’m dead…
***No Walt. Well not exactly…
***Your body died: All bioelectricity stopped, preventing your conscience, your ‘you’, from controlling your body.
-…So I’m dead?
***Yes. Please take as much time as you need to process this. I will be here, just say ‘Linda’
-…My family? Linda?
***After you passed, your sister was able to make recording to you. During your transition back, you will be able to view them, and many others.
-You keep saying ‘transition back’. What do you mean?
***As per the agreement for the SEYMORE Program, your ‘pod’ was upgrade to the most current version Mush Industries had to offer.
***When you died, your body was initially put into a simple cryo chamber, much like the one in the pamphlet that was sent to you when you were selected for the Program.
***Over time, Musk Industries was able to integrate their Cryogenics with Plexul Technologies to create a Cryo Chamber filled with Grey’s Goo.
-What the hell is Grey’s Goo? Sounds disgusting
***Grey’s Goo is a fluid of Nano machines. These machines have to be kept at subzero temperatures to run effectively, making them perfect for cryogenics.
***Over the next 6 months, these machines will go about repairing your body: conditioning cells, perfecting eyesight, repair damaged cells form the cryo process, and repairing synapses.
***When the thawing process is over, you will be at peak physical and mental condition.
-YEAH! That is awesome!
***But this is not permanent. If you want to keep this body, you will have to stick to a fitness regimen.
-What, the goop won’t keep me fit forever?
***’Fraid not. The machines can only work in subzero temperatures. Once they get above a certain temperature, they essentially melt out of your body.
-Okay, makes sense.
***Also, while at first your mental capacity will be in peak form, over time you will begin to lose long term memory, and anyone who ages does.
-Well, I have 6 months to study stuff I guess
-WAIT, did you say 6 months?!?
-I’m trapped in my head for 6 months?!
***Not entirely. You downloaded 20 terabytes of media for the SEYMORE Program. You have about 3 ½ months of TV shows, 2 months of Movies, and various other media.
***Also, I have stored on me important historical documents to catch you up.
-Wait, how long have I been frozen?
***I can’t access our GN right now, but the last system update was from 2265. My internal clock seems to be off, so I don’t know todays exact date.
-2265? It’s been over 200 years? Wow.
-How much has changed?
***Well, let’s start with your family…
Linda let me know that my sister died 6 years after me. She had an aneurism at a baseball game.
I got to watch six years of her talking to me like I was still there.
Linda explained to me that the Nano machines were able to ‘stimulate my neural pathways in a way that (I am) able to hear and see things, like in The Matrix.’ Kinda ruined the movie for me to watch during my six months but oh well.
After my sister pasted away, my nieces and nephew would make movies for me, letting me watch them grow up. The messages came fewer and fewer, until Linda said there was no more.
Being stuck in your head, alone, isn’t a fun place to be.
Linda told me about what mankind had been up to.
About 12 years after I died, the first baby was born on Mars at Daedalia without defects. When I was alive, they were still having still-borns.
Being able to reproduce on a different planet made space travel a lot easier. That and the EMP drive along with the cryo pods made space travel seem instantaneous. We were able to send recons to Europa, and discovered life there! I was sad that I missed that event, but elated at the fact of it. Linda showed me the pictures of the creatures; some were strangely beautiful, while others were H.P. Lovecraft nightmares.
The thing about the thawing process was I didn’t sleep. My mind was always on.
Video games helped, I was able to play entire collections of franchises. Still no Half Life 3. There was a spiritual successor that mixed Portal and Half Life, but it left me asking more questions than answers.
Linda told me about half way through that my pod was being transferred to a museum about the 21st Century. The Museum was on planet hundreds of light years away! Apparently, while we hadn’t figured out FTL Travel, scientist had found a way to ‘pinch space-time into a singularity in a stable position keeping it in the front of the craft.’ Linda said it was basically like having a black-hole in front of the ship like a carrot in front of a horse.
This was blowing my mind. Was I going to be a celebrity when I get out? Will people look the same? Is everyone like a robot? What if I sneeze and they shoot me on sight?
I would know in about 3 hours.
-To be honest Linda, I think I am going to miss you. I know you’re not real, but it’s just been you and me all this time.
***Don’t worry Walt. There is a mobile device in the storage compartment on you pod. Musk Industries didn’t want you to be alone after this event, so they loaded me into it. You can even give me a holographic body to facilitate in the ‘letting go’ process.
***I’ll be here to help you transition into this new world we are both about to enter! And I’m just as excited as you are!
-Alright Linda. I think I’m ready. Let’s do this.
The pod cracks open.
I hit the floor. Hard. I hear my wrist snap.
I try to scream out in pain, but all I can do is puke out what looks like tar. It’s cold, but as I heave it out of my lungs, I feel it warming my body. Before I can throw it all up, I feel the warming sensation on my wrist. The pain turns to a dull throb.
After I was able to catch my breath, my vision started to clear up. I was in some room, the lights were on the floor, but not on purpose.
The room looked like it was upside-down. Explains why I fell.
Everything was tossed about and covered in a thin lay of dust.
-What the hell is going on?
“Hello!?! Is anyone there?! I’m in here!!”
-God, there has to be someone
“HELLO!!! ANYONE!!!”
-What happened? Was there an earthquake? A planetquake?
I look around the room. There’s stuff everywhere, but I don’t recognize what it all is. The whole time I start to become aware of my surrounds, and the fact that I am naked.
My body catches me off guard. My beer keg is now an 8 pack. I can see…myself. My legs look about the same, but I’m no longer barrel chested. Linda said the nano machines would condition my body to peak shape, but I wasn’t expecting this.
I start moving around the room. The room is huge. I all of a sudden remember reading a book when I was a kid about cool life hacks. I remember everything about reading that book suddenly, and there was a part about cool math tricks.
I instantly know the room is 600x400 feet, and 26 feet high.
“Whoa. How did I do that, I suck at math.”
I instantly remember Linda saying my synapses were conditioned. It’s amazing. I hardly have to think. I remember everything I ever experienced. The sights, sound, smells, emotions. All of it.
Instantly.
I start to see the white bird again…

Wednesday Milan Musings
Some thoughts on the reign of Montella, looking forward to the Gattuso era and the rest of the league....
Here’s our fearless reporter AviA with our new coach right now!
MONTELLA
-Cousin Vinny finishes his time at Milan with 24 wins, 11 draws and 17 losses in the league in 52 games. That’s not enough points to even win the league either of the last 2 seasons. We scored 76 goals and gave up 63. By Serie A standards, that’s a poor offense AND a poor defense. The only player on the roster that can possibly be happy about his time at the club is probably Suso. Montella built the formation and team around him last year and it worked well in stretches. Other than that, Montella did nothing to significantly improve anyone on the Milan roster. Locatelli has gone mostly sideways and backwards for 2 years now. And Montolivo is STILL our best CM.
QUICK ASIDE
2 and a half years ago in the spring of 2015 I posited that if after THAT summer transfer window Montolivo was indeed still our best CM we were in deep shit. Here it is 30 months later and that’s still the case. No bueno.
- Amazingly Sunday was Montella’s 300th game as a manager in Serie A, and he’s won only 136 of them. That’s quite a bit below a 50% winning percentage. He has never taken any of his teams anywhere. AND DON’T YOU DARE TELL ME THAT TAKING MILAN INTO THE EUROPA LEAGUE IS A BIG DEAL! IT’S NOT!! It’s Serie A though, so he’ll have another job in the next 12 months.
-In a way it’s fitting that a stellar goalkeeping effort from a team managed by Mihajlovic was his last game at the San Siro. He really got shafted by Berlusconi.
- I posted this in the comments on monday, but I’ll also repeat it here:
MY OFFICIAL TAKE ON THE GATTUSO HIRING
Were we gonna get better with Montella? No.
Is Gattuso an upgrade? Probably not.
Is it possible we improve simply through Montella's absence? Yes.
So i think that's a plus? maybe?
- With 24 games to play we still need 60 points to reach 80, which is my magic number to even sniff the top 4. A couple more slip ups and that becomes mathematically impossible. Hell, it’s almost impossible already.
This is exactly how i see Gattuso’s first team speech going:
youtube
That’s for you Gianfranco!
- Our next 7 games are ALL against teams currently below us in the table: @Benevento, Bologna, @Verona, Atalanta, @Fiorentina, Crotone and @Cagliari. Of all those the toughest might be Fiorentina, although their last 4 games include a loss to Crotone and a draw against SPAL. Not exactly world beaters. The game that has me the most paranoid during that stretch is Bologna. Donadoni’s men always play us tough AND former Milan youngster Simone Verdi is playing very well of late. Then again i suppose Atalanta won’t be a treat. Hell, what am I talking about. Going to Benevento isn’t a gimme. Ugh.
MILAN FACT OF THE DAY!
Our last goal from open play at home in the league came on September 17th in the 31st minute against Udinese. That’s 2 months and a whopping 419 minutes of playing time ago. I’m guessing that has to be some kind of record.
SOME THOUGHTS FROM ACROSS THE LEAGUE
Icardi is gonna win the Capocannoniere and Inter will probably win the Scudetto
(ducks behind the podium)
Napoli and Juve, who both still have a lot of European fixtures, will finish 2 and 3. Make sure to tune into Friday’s game on BeInSports with Matteo Bonetti and Andres Cordero. It’s gonna be a CRACKER!!
The first team to drop from the top 6 will be Lazio
Roma might be next if they keep sending DeRossi’s stupid ass out there. in retrospect, they should have let go of him at the same time they did Totti and totally ripped the band-aid of legends off. His slap to Lapadula was pure idiocy. I’m so glad VAR was there to catch it.
Can Samp keep this up all year? No. But boy are they gonna be fun to watch!
That Cristante kid was always destined to return to Serie A better and hungrier and Atalanta is benefiting from that right now. Selling him to raise funds to buy Jack is looking a little foolish right now.
Donadoni just keeps doing Donadoni things at Bologna. I have no idea why he’s never a serious candidate for the Milan job. Weird.
Even weirder is that Chievo just keeps plugging along with their 48 year old keeper and average age of 37 across the starting XI.
BONUS: A box of donuts to whoever figures out which one of those facts about Chievo is true and which one I made up.
I thought Fiorentina would be ok this year. I was wrong.
Massimo Oddo will make Udinese very watchable again. He’ll have them around 10th or 11th place by the end of the year.
Giuseppe Rossi is attempting ANOTHER comeback at Genoa. To think there was a moment that he was starting for the Italian NT? That feels like 20 years ago.
Benevento is done for but the other 2 relegation spots will be up for grabs all year long. I’d love to see SPAL and Verona survive.
That’s all i got for now.
Cheers!
Lisi

The Daily Tulip – International News From Around The World
Thursday 17th August 2017
Good Morning Gentle Reader…. All the cars in Estepona that parked on the street last night are a pale yellow color, it rained last night and the clouds moved north from the Sahara in Africa to Spain and dropped the sand picked up in the desert and left it in Spain, for the car washes to remove this morning.. as Bella and I walked the streets the council workers were out in force washing the streets and plants down, removing the sand…it was crunchy underfoot where they hadn’t washed the pavements.. I recall this happening when I lived in Hampshire back in the 1950’s waking up one morning with yellow streets, made delivering the newspapers different… ah! Nature.. the things it does and the memories we recall….. Well my system is recalling that we haven’t had coffee yet and I need a mug, so let’s fill up two mugs, one for me one for you.. and so let’s look at the news….
BIG BEN'S BONGS TO FALL SILENT UNTIL 2021 FOR REPAIRS…. Big Ben's famous chimes will fall silent from next week until 2021 to allow essential repair works to take place. The “Bongs” will sound for the final time at midday on Monday before being disconnected to allow the clock and surrounding tower to be restored. The Great Bell has sounded on the hour for 157 years. It last fell silent in 2007 and before that, for major refurbishments between 1983 and 1985. Parliamentary authorities said stopping Big Ben - the commonly used name for the Palace of Westminster's Elizabeth Tower - would protect workers carrying out the repairs. It will still sound for important events including New Year's Eve and Remembrance Sunday. The clock's keeper, Steve Jaggs, said Big Ben falling silent was a "significant milestone" in the project to restore the tower. "This essential programme of works will safeguard the clock on a long term basis, as well as protecting and preserving its home - the Elizabeth Tower," he added.
IRAN FOOTBALLERS BREAK ISRAEL SPORTING 'TABOO'…. Two Iranian footballers have been both praised and condemned in their home country after turning out for their Greek club side against Israel's Maccabi Tel Aviv. While the Europa League third qualifying round match between Panionios of Athens and Maccabi will probably not last long in the memories of either set of fans, the appearance on the pitch of Iranians Masoud Shojaei and Ehsan Hajsafi in the Greek capital has not gone unnoticed back home. The Islamic Republic does not recognise the state of Israel, and forbids Iranian athletes from competing against Israeli athletes at international sports events. Last year, athlete Alireza Khojasteh withdrew from the judo competition at the Rio Olympics citing "personal reasons", but it is widely thought that his decision was based on the possibility of facing an Israeli opponent. Some social media users praised the footballers, who both wore green, white and red wristbands representing the Iranian flag, for disregarding the ban. "Why have talented athletes been wasted by this taboo? Breaking this taboo is a big development. Let's be with them whatever the cost may be," one user tweeted. "The 'concerned ones' [Iranian hardliners] will now start insulting them, saying that Islam has been put in danger," said another Twitter user, posting a video showing the two players walking out on the field with their teammates.
PET SNAKE SPOTTED RIDING ON BOSTON TRAIN…. A man was spotted riding a train in Massachusetts while holding his pet snake on Monday afternoon. Twitter user Anne Keane shared video of the man and his slithering pet and asked the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to clarify its stance on traveling with snakes. "Snake. On the train," she wrote. "MBTA uh...what's the policy here?" The MBTA responded to Keane's inquiry and asked her to provide details about the train ride before clarifying the snake was not permitted to be handled out in the open during the ride. "During peak hours, small domestic animals must be kept in a lap-sized carrier," the MBTA said. Keane told WHDH other passengers were intrigued by the snake, but she wasn't a fan of the unusual pet. "It was gross," she said. "This was probably the weirdest thing I've seen on the train." The MBTA reminded passengers of its pet regulations and Keane said she hopes it will be the last time she shares a ride with a snake. "I don't want to see snakes on a train. I don't want to see snakes on a plane," she said.
'DRIVERLESS VAN' ACTUALLY PILOTED BY MAN DRESSED AS CAR SEAT…. A man dressed in a costume resembling a car seat was found to be responsible for reports of a "driverless van" in Virginia. Residents of Arlington County reported an unmarked gray van, that appeared to have no driver, cruising up and down local streets while driving cautiously and keeping up with traffic. The van's windows were darkly tinted and cameras and a light bar were seen behind the windshield. While investigating the mysterious van, NBC Washington's Adam Tuss, realized a man dressed in a car seat costume was actually behind the wheel of the vehicle. "I looked out and I said, 'Oh my God, there's a guy in a seat costume,'" Tuss said. "How's that possible? Your brain can't get around it for a second." Tuss approached the 2017 Ford Transit Connect and knocked on the window, where he saw a man's hands and legs sticking out from underneath the costume. "Brother, who are you? What are you doing? I'm with the news, dude," Tuss said. "Dude, can you pull over and we can talk for a second?" The driver didn't respond to Tuss, but the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute later revealed the van and its driver are part of a study about driverless cars. "The driver's seating area is configured to make the driver less visible within the vehicle, while still allowing him or her the ability to safely monitor and respond to surroundings," the institute said. Police and the Virginia Department of Transportation said they were not aware of the vehicle, but Arlington county officials were involved in planning the study.
NEPAL MOBILIZES TO SAVE THREATENED VULTURES…. Keep calm and carrion. In Nepal, vultures have long been reviled as ugly, unlucky creatures. But four of nine local species are critically endangered after now-banned bovine medication poisoned cow carcasses. Locals stepped in to save them, caring for chicks and opening vulture “restaurants,” where visitors pay to see them fed. That’s boosted tourism and revived the population to 111 sightings this year from 76 last year. But authorities say the hard work must continue to give the birds — whose scavenging is necessary for sanitation — a fighting chance of survival.
Well Gentle Reader I hope you enjoyed our look at the news from around the world this, Thursday morning… …
Our Tulips today are Tulips by the river....
A Sincere Thank You for your company and Thank You for your likes and comments I love them and always try to reply, so please keep them coming, it's always good fun, As is my custom, I will go and get myself another mug of "Colombian" Coffee and wish you a safe Thursday 17th August 2017 from my home on the southern coast of Spain, where the blue waters of the Alboran Sea washes the coast of Africa and Europe and the smell of the night blooming Jasmine and Honeysuckle fills the air…and a crazy old guy and his dog Bella go out for a walk at 4:00 am…on the streets of Estepona…
All good stuff....But remember it’s a dangerous world we live in
Be safe out there…
