Is one day too long to make someone wait on accepting a CR? I started a trade with someone before I left for my cousin's wedding this past weekend. I had been meaning to check back on FR throughout the day, but I was too busy with IRL stuff that I didn't get back to the buyer until later the next day. When I messaged them, they were very rude and sarcastic to me and it started a big dramatic mess. Here's the full story, with screenshots and all the drama. Can you please tell me if I'm in the wrong here? I can accept my part of the blame, but I also think the buyer's reaction was unnecessary. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I was in the Find a Dragon forums looking to sell some hatchlings when I happened upon this thread searching for a level 25 dragon. I had a dragon that met all their criteria, and I thought I'd offer it to them early that morning. (Friday, 2:26pm. keep in mind, I'm 3 hours ahead of FR time.) They responded, asking for the dragon for a full 50 gems less than I was offering. I run an art shop, however, so money has never been a huge deal to me on this site. I saw their message and accepted their offer on Friday, 11:18pm. I went to bed shortly after. When I woke up, I saw that they had replied to me at 2:49am while I was asleep. I sent my CR on Saturday at about 9am. I have no screenshots of this since I didn't think I would need one at the time, but I do have the timestamp from when this user made changes to the CR. They saw the CR on Saturday, 11am. I left for the wedding (which was in the next state over, a 2 hour drive away) at 12pm. I had wanted to check back on FR a few times throughout the day, but I just didn't have the time to do so. I logged into FR on Sunday at about 8pm, shortly after I'd gotten home from the hotel. The first thing I noticed was that I'd had several notifications, all between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Unfortunately, when i tried to read what the messages said, I was met with this. Since the buyer had canceled the trade, I had no idea what they'd been trying to tell me. So, I went back to their thread to check if maybe they'd changed their mind about the dragon. I was met with this reply Which I found to be unnecessarily sarcastic and passive aggressive. I can admit I lost my cool a tad bit here, but I unapologetically refused to be disrespected when i had done nothing wrong. It was immature of me, but I never cared about the money anyway, and why would I want to continue speaking with someone who has 0 respect for my time? They responded with this even ruder, more sarcastic, extra aggressive response. This is where I want to know what you guys think. Do you think my stance is valid? Was it fair of me to assume that they wouldn't mind waiting a day. Again, I can admit I was a bit immature. However, the way they fail to see, or perhaps just ignore, how much of an unpleasant, sarcastic, rude person they'd been in their responses to me thus far solidifies my view of them 'having a fit'. For my final reply, I decide to be the bigger person and apologize for the way things got out of hand, and for making them wait, despite the fact that I don't think I'm in the wrong, I can recognize that they're unhappy, and I can be a decent human being and apologize. Please tell me your opinion on this matter. I always want to be fair with everyone, that's just how I am. If I was out of line, or if it was rude of me not to mention the wedding, I can own up to that.

Behind the Scenes: Chapter 212
(Current Queue: 10.2 / 8 )
Turnabout Succession’s Investigation segment for Day 2 isn’t very long, so it’s actually done, but I’m gonna wait a couple more days before it goes up just to give myself time to complete more of Day 3′s trial. Nearly done with AJAA! :D
(All BtS here)
Chapter 212: The Real Names Club
And now that Turnabout Trump's storyline had finally come to a stop, it was time to catch up with the fanclub after their IRL meet-up.
The idea of a 'real name club', and that the fanclub would use it after meeting up in person, is inspired by the messageboard attached to ToughPigs, a Muppets fansite. From what I've read, there was a con, 'MuppetFest', in 2001 that most of the members of the time attended, and they began to use real names instead of usernames online. It's now in fact a tradition, that new people with usernames displayed will be offered to join the "Real Name Club" and thus the community. I also thought, realisticly, it would be a bit strange to start using real names after meeting in person and then switch back to usernames online. Their username displays changing after they first post was also inspired by a role-playing forum I used to be a part of called Unicorns Visions, where everyone's characters would be displayed between their avatar and username.
Maggey's story of how she met Phoenix was going to set the tone for how I had everyone else outline their stories, so I took my time working out exactly how much detail she would be going into and how much time she'd take up. She doesn't want people going "tl;dr" on her post after all! I thought about taking out any mention of her second trial, but decided she'd keep it as it was the second time Phoenix defended her, and I even threw in a reference to her name being oddly spelled from her first trial.
Penny again references the offscreen event where her nosey friends dug up her semi-celebrity status. She also goes into how she was talked into joining the fanclub despite not being a fan, and why she's stuck around so long.
Aria also summarises how she first hired Luke and ended up attending Apollo and Artemis' debut performance together.
Max's emotional thank you to everyone hints at a troubled life I decided not to elaborate on. I'm sure I've mentioned it, but he is trans and probably has faced discrimination for it. On a similar note, Drewby takes their first steps to not being so openly hostile with everyone.
For the various OCs the Wrights weren't previously familiar with, I tried to strengthen the idea here of how they would be recognisable to Apollo; Thus, Knox has met them after the show, and Drewby has been on stage (even making themself memorable by trying to steal Apollo's hat).
Adrian's story, unlike Maggey's, is very short and to-the-point, more in-keeping with her character... and also because that first trial in particular was especially hard on her and she prefers not to go into vivid detail even now.
Liz completely skips any 'how I met the Wrights' story, instead replying to everyone else's and mentioning offhand she has been in the Wonder Bar audience.
Naturally, Apollo and Pearl are the last to post in this thread, having spent the day with each other and their family. Pearl very briefly touches on how she met Phoenix, then waxes lyrical about her 'cousins'. Apollo goes into how he came to join the Wrights in slightly more detail, and his story is another I put a lot of work into to keep both in-character and reasonably concise - Even if these people are his friends, Apollo's still a little wary about revealing too much, especially if it's personal details about his siblings. Also, looking back on my own story, he's misremembering the detail of Maya 'telling him' the fanclub still existed: Actually, he himself mentioned people were exchanging contacts to keep in touch and Maya suggested he might be able to talk to some of them again through Maggey, with no idea herself if he would have any luck or not.
Apollo also says here "For the first time in my life, I had a family"... While you could argue this is false given the SOJ retcon, AU-Apollo in particular doesn't count the Sahdmadhis as his family. I'm hoping I can go into that in more detail once Turnabout Succession wraps up.
If I remember correctly, just the 'real names club' thread had run too short to be its own chapter, thus I came up with the Wrights using the fanclub as a testing ground for their new advertising campaign, and wrote the absolute cheesiest thing I could for Luke and Trucy to have put together. People seemed to like it, at least. :D
