Halloween is my favourite holiday but it’s so weird trying to explain to people that I actually celebrate it less as spooky day and more as “I surround myself in memories of the dead and do things related to that and it’s actually a very happy and peaceful thing to do” because it sounds spiritual and irl people just. Cannot think of me as spiritual in any sense because of how separated I am from religion. I don’t think of myself as particularly spiritual either! Halloween is just the exception. Like my mom and Easter.

#Didn’t get to bake my Halloween cake this year… can’t really cook in the dorms…#But I did finish a project about brú na bóinne (among other subjects/themes) and the continuing of the past in modernity #And got a shit ton of candy :)#Also the freshman gallery show is coming up and I’m so excited to have my skull key chain wire sculpture study hanging from the ceiling #It’s gonna look so cool #I’m also gonna read my book on Irish prehistoric burials in a bit 💖💖
