#I’m abbreviating a bit- there’s some psychological horror thrown in since ‘Costa’ is partially an amalgamation of like… everything it’s

In honor of spooky month- remember that one idea of mine ft. Costa as a changeling as opposed to like… actually Spiro’s cousin? Yeah I’ve been scribbling for that a lot.
(more art/AU explanation below cut- tw for body horror/gore)

Basically the gist is Spiro didn’t actually know his cousin, but discovered Costa and decided to use him as a body double.
Costa is not his cousin. Costa never was his cousin.
‘Costa’ later resurfaces around the time Spiro is eventually released from prison- Spiro arrives at the Needle to find ‘he’ is already there. He sees ‘Costa’ and is immediately able to recognize him as not human (being the person it’s mimicking he can just kinda tell) and when Not-Spiro attacks him (as that is ultimately ‘Costa’s’ No.1 goal, to kill Spiro since that’s the only way to make its guise 100% accurate- kinda like ‘The Thing’), he flees.
And eventually he makes the connection between Artemis’s vanishing act (‘magic’) and his ‘fairy friends’, and assumes ‘Costa’ is one of those. So he goes there, Holly eventually gets involved as it’s essentially a fairy/human killing machine running loose in Chicago.
And yeah. It kinda spirals from there.
