Random parts of James which Regulus loves:
regulus' part here
>His collar bones.
>His knuckles.
>His Dimples (specifically his right one, because it’s the most prominent one).
>How his accent curls around words. (James has an Indian accent, and it would get stronger when he was talking about things he’s excited about).
>The bump on the bridge of his nose. (And how it’s the exact same as his father’s).
>How he’ll stop and pet any cat he passes, and not worry if he’s petting McGonagall. (‘She deserves a pat on the head every once in a while’ is what he said when Regulus joked about it once).
>How he’s always willing to help him with his transfiguration homework.
>How his curls fall in his sleep. (And how they keep their curl when he plays with them).
>His hands. (Duh)
>How he’s always warm. (Like he’s so toasty like all the time).
>How he doesn’t know how to tie his shoe laces and, even though James knows he will do it without asking, he asks anyways.
>How James will smile at him if they pass in a corridor but not able to speak to each other.
>His thighs. (He never talked about his to his friends when they figured out his crush on him cause he was embarrassed on how much he thought about it).
>How he says what he means and means what he says.
>How James will cheer for him when he wins at quidditch even if that meant he lost.
>His eyes. His hazel and gold flecks in his iris, and his slight lazy eye which you can’t notice unless you’re close.
>His patience. (With him)
>How James would point out a rainbow in a sky with the same amount of excitement each time.
>The way his brain worked. How James could remember a piece of information Regulus casually dropped in a conversation they had in passing but would literally forget his entire timetable on a constant.
>His smile. How it show his teeth. How his smile was crooked and genuine.
>How his face wasn’t symmetrical.
>His love for insects. He wouldn’t kill spiders, rather let it free out a window. He wouldn’t step on snails because then the snail would be homeless. He would follow butterflies until he physically couldn’t. (And the irony of that James was allergic to bee and wasp stings).
>How he always tried to show genuine interest in the stuff he talked about. (Regulus loved classical music, and it wasn’t James taste, far from it. But he’d still let Regulus play and talk about it, and he’d still listen with full focus.)
>How he was sensitive when he was tired. (He’d rub his eyes and get a cute, sad look on his face if he was rudely awoken).
>The way his hands felt against his skin (James would place his hands on Reg’s cheeks and thumb at the apples of his cheeks).
>The way James tanned in the summer. How his cheeks would become a maroon flush and how he’s get a uproar of freckles on his arms and shoulders like he was built for summer because they always disappeared by October.

Your lips were centimeters apart. It seemed too late to change course, but he had to ask. He had never done something so reckless, which for him, was saying something. “Are you sure?”
He was scared of the answer. One look at you told him you were scared of answering. “We’ve never… I mean, I’ve never done this before,” you whispered. Your noses grazed against each other, tantalizingly close.
His hand hovered underneath your robes. It felt large against your bare stomach. “We can stop.”
“I don’t want to stop.” With one hand around his neck and the other on his chest, you tugged him closer. The moment your lips met erased his doubts so fully that if he stopped to think about it, it would have scared him.
Your shoes slipped off as he delicately lifted you off of your feet. Gently, he laid you down on his bed and paused to stare at how small and trusting you looked in the moment. It was only your fifth visit to his flat, yet you already looked like you belonged. He would never have expected someone from his forgotten life to fit into his current one so unquestionably.
*One Week Earlier*
It was getting easier and easier to slip away from Regulus these days. While you were accustomed to seeing less of each other during the summer holidays, now you were more distant than ever. You knew why, of course. Being a Slytherin, you were privy to an entire host of secrets – Regulus was too. Hogwarts’ rowdiest, most divided class graduated just a month earlier, and many of your friends, if you could even call them that, had chosen a side in this war. His side.
You knew Regulus agreed with the Dark Lord’s philosophies and marveled at his promises. However, it was not until this school year that you realized exactly how much your boyfriend worshipped the elusive man responsible for the murders of so many innocent people. He would scour the Daily Prophet for news, eager but not uneasy. He trailed after Snape, Avery, and Mulciber, and the whisperings about the three of them were hardly positive. It was rumored that all of them had been "marked." You didn’t know exactly what that meant but worried Regulus was next.
He sensed your fear but didn’t say much to soothe you. Perhaps he thought he could convince you to join him – or, at least, stand by his side as he signed away his services. You weren’t interested. In fact, you were terrified. Though your family was prominent, prosperous, and pureblood, they never participated in what your father coined to be “blood politics.” Your indifference, which occasionally transformed into blatant disgust, over the growingly common prejudice among your peers ostracized you from your fellow Slytherins. You managed to keep your reservations to yourself for the sake of House unity but could no longer remain silent. Not when your childhood love drifted further and further away from you.
It was slow, but of course, there was a final straw. In his last letter, Regulus wrote that his cousin Bella was teaching him how to duel “the proper way.” As someone who saw nothing substandard in your Defense Against the Dark Arts education thus far, you could only imagine what Bellatrix Lestrange would consider to be the “proper” way to duel. You had limited experience with the woman, having only caught glimpses of her as a child at Grimmauld Place and as Regulus’s date to her wedding. Nonetheless, the rumors about her were becoming increasingly hard to ignore.
So you sought the one person you thought may listen to you. Of course, there was the issue of finding him. You had no idea where he lived, though you doubted he would be thrilled to meet you, especially at his place of residence. You thought of writing to him but could not risk seeing and sending the words you had not yet uttered aloud.
Ultimately, you decided that the best course of action was to find him in public, no matter how difficult it would be. You knew if you willed it hard enough, fate would bring him to you – and you understood the power of your love better than anyone.
It took six days of solitary walks through Diagon Alley for you to finally find him. It wasn’t easy at all. You managed to keep your parents at bay by entrusting your safety with your pureblood Slytherin status. However, what was once the most bustling shopping center in the Wizarding World became drearier by day. More wanted posters appeared on brick walls as the number of disappearances grew. Within days, there were fewer groups of visitors for you to huddle behind without drawing suspicion.
He was in the Leaky Cauldron with a shorter man, someone you recognized to be Peter Pettigrew. They were huddled together but deep in conversation. Actually, it seemed as though he was doing most of the talking. You found yourself staring at his muscular, tattooed arms as he gestured wildly at Pettigrew, who stared at him with wonder, excitement, and apprehension all at once. Despite the normal-looking exchange, both men gripped their wands tightly and took turns periodically glancing over their shoulders.
Peter was too far away for you to read his lips, but checked his watch and jumped in surprise. You inched closer, hoping to find an in for your mission. Finally, you were close enough to hear his parting words. “Sorry, Padfoot... Mum’s waiting for me. You know how she gets, especially now.”
“Alright, mate. Get home safe. I’ll see you… when I see you.”
You were not stupid. You had no idea what that meant, but judging by Peter’s stiff nod, there was definitely a predetermined meeting time and place that they could not risk anyone overhearing. Given the circumstances, you could hardly blame them.
Your interaction with Sirius Black was limited, but you had heard enough about him to know that he was reckless, devil-may-care, and according to his brother, inconsiderate of everyone’s feelings. Hearing the sincerity in his goodbye to his friend sounded quite the opposite, or perhaps was just a sign of the times.
Peter scurried away and out of sight. You saw Sirius reach for a pouch in his pocket, out of which he scooped a handful of Sickles. They clattered onto the table. Before he finished counting his change, you slid into the seat across from him.
Startled, Sirius stood and pointed his wand at you. His motions were seamless. It was as if he could kill you with a single swish. You hardly had time to wonder if you would be as skilled with your wand as he seemed to be when you finished school. “Listen, I just want to talk. Please sit down.” There weren’t too many other customers in the pub, but there was no doubt your exchange was attracting attention.
Sirius sneered at you. “Why would I want to talk to you? Did he send you? Whatever it is, I don’t want to hear it.”
It surprised you that he knew who you were. Regulus was convinced that Sirius abandoned the Black family once and for all and did not care for his extracurricular activities. Granted, much of your scheme relied on the fact that he did. “No, he didn’t send me. I need to talk to you about him, actually. In private.”
He looked apprehensive but curious. You sighed in relief as he lowered his wand and sat down, “Whatever you have to say, you can say it here.”
“Please,” you tried again. “I’m no threat to you.”
He stared at you, and in his pale eyes you saw something so familiar yet so foreign. “Fine. Follow me.”
He swiftly led you out of the pub. Although you were eager, you maintained an acceptable distance from him. The air was sticky; you could feel your flushed cheeks. You always hated summer because of the unbearable weather and because it was always the longest you would spend apart from Regulus. However, you found yourself entranced by the way Sirius’s neckline glistened. There was a warm glow radiating off of the little bits of his exposed skin, slightly tanner than his brother’s. You were surprised at how easy it was to distinguish these details. You always considered yourself to be too young for and morally above noticing Regulus’s physique. It was far too shallow to remark on a man's physical beauty and far too desperate when all you could see were his neck and arms.
“Get your license yet?”
You shook your head. “No, not yet.”
“Okay,” said Sirius, extending a hand. “I’ll take you with me.”
You were used to Side-Along Apparition, so your surprise was more at your surroundings. You landed on a street in front of a very tall building. Craning your neck to observe the one in front of you, you asked, “Where are we?”
“London,” he answered vaguely. He had not let go of your hand.
“I figured. But this looks like a Muggle building.”
“Got a problem with that?” He snapped, and as if he had just realized what he was doing, he let go of your hand as if it was rotting.
You internally groaned at how sweaty it was. “N-No. I’ve just never been around here, that’s all.”
You waited for a snarky response, but received none. Instead, he pushed open the door of the building and led your to what you could only assume was his flat.
“I would say make yourself at home, but don’t.” Sirius did not have guests often, and when he did, they definitely did not include his little brother’s girlfriend. Damn, he thought to himself. Wait until James hears about this.
You were still in school – although, so was he, just a month earlier. But you were in a rival house. And worst of all, he had seen you in the same position, perched onto a sofa with inquisitive eyes, when you both were children at his parents’ house. It was curious to him that you looked just as out of place then as you did now.
“I know this is strange, but I have no other choice.” Your voice broke off and for the tiniest millisecond, he felt sorry for you. “I think he’s… I mean I feel that… that R-Regulus is planning on joining the Dark Lord.” “Call him Voldemort, will you?” Sirius interrupted irritably.
You flinched. “I really shouldn’t.”
Though he was annoyed, he understood and did not probe you further. “Listen, I don’t know what you thought trying to find me, or even how you found me for that matter, but I can’t help you. I know what you’re worried about and you’re probably right to be worried. But I tried talking to him before I ran – I mean, left. He won’t budge. He’s in too deep. Sorry,” he added.
Your eyes glossed over. “I figured you’d say that.” Tears streamed down your rosy cheeks. “S-Sorry, I don’t mean to load this on you. I just feel so alone sometimes. And so scared for him. He really has no idea what he’s getting himself into, does he?”
Sirius stared at you, contemplating whether he should tell you what his dim-witted brother was really getting himself into. He only started to see it for himself now. “I’m not sure what I should tell you, but I understand. If you want to talk about it…”
You glanced at him in wonder, cocking your head to the side. “Er, thanks. But I should get home. My parents must be worried. Can I Floo out of here?”
You looked even more upset than before, and Sirius felt guilty for leaving everything so unresolved. Although, should he really care about your feelings? Anyone who willingly chose to spend time with a tosser like Regulus probably deserved whatever hell he would put them through… although…
“Yeah, I installed one,” he said, gesturing to the fireplace.
Wiping your eyes nimbly, you stood and smoothed the front of your robes. “Thank you. Sorry if it was a bother.”
“No problem. I know… I know that you aren’t like them. And I know what you’re going through. Probably better than anyone.”
You smiled at him, and without warning, his stomach flipped. It couldn’t have been the first time he’d seen you smile, but it was definitely the first time you smiled at him. Maybe you had once before when you were children. For now, all Sirius seemed to hone in on was the soft dimple on your right cheek and the way your eyes lit up almost automatically.
“If you ever need to talk about it, you can always come around here.” He knew it was strange for him to offer you that, but you had known each other for so long. You both had the same doubts… perhaps you lacked the bravery to act on them as he did, though he could hardly fault you for that.
“Thank you, Sirius,” you said softly.
It was more than sex. You would spend hours talking, entangled in his bedsheets, watching the sunrise together for several mornings in a row. Sirius glanced warily at the clock on his bedside table. “Where do your parents think you are?”
You were drawing circles on his bare chest. “I told them I was with him.”
Despite being the reason you sought him out, it became an unspoken rule between the two of you to not mention his name. The subject of Regulus and, by extension, the war became as taboo as saying Lord Voldemort.
He hated it. He tried to convince himself that he was acting on lust, that he just needed to relieve his stress of the war and Order training, but he couldn’t. Not when every time you arrived unannounced, he scribbled excuses to get out of dinner with the Potters, or drinks with the boys, or hell, even Order meetings.
Sirius wished he could explain it to James. Surely, his best friend would convince him of the stupidity of engaging in an affair with his brother’s girlfriend. But then he would watch you wearing his shirt, sipping wine, and dancing barefoot in his kitchen. He would imagine you wrapping your arms around his waist on his new motorcycle and his insides would implode. Then, he would decide that he did not want to be dissuaded. He was falling for you. One look at you told him you were falling for him too.
“Where have you been, mate? The parents are driving me up a wall about you. Lily’s convinced you’ve got a girlfriend or something,” joked James.
They were sitting in the pub on a night Sirius knew you had a family function to attend. He swallowed bitterly as he wondered whether or not Regulus would be there. Were you together right now? Did you confess? Was he angry? Were you crying?
Noticing his best friend’s silence, James raised an eyebrow. “Do you? Have a girlfriend or something?”
Sirius knew he could not lie to James, but he debated exactly how much he wanted to delve into the subject. “Or something.” Before he could he stop himself, the secrets were spilling off of his tongue.
When he finished, Sirius wasn’t sure if he felt better or worse. He tried to focus on James’s hazel eyes as they widened at every turn in the story. “Mate… you’re fucked.”
He tried not to ponder at these words too hard in the hopes that he wouldn’t splinch himself Apparating back to his flat. It didn’t shock him to see you there – he had allowed you too much access to everything and he had no intention of taking it back.
Emerald green dress robes were slipping off of your shoulders. With pearls draped around your neck and pieces of hair straying out of your topknot, Sirius could not help but swoon at how beautiful you looked. He wondered briefly what it would have been like if you had chosen him over Regulus. What if there was no foul play? Would you be happy? Or would you run away, as you had with his brother?
He was still tipsy. James’s warnings ran scattered in his brain, ringing like a siren. But they mattered little now that you were in front of him. “How was–”
“I don’t want to talk about it,” you interrupted. Then you stepped forward and tugged at his half-unbuttoned shirt, pressing your lips against his. “Make me forget.”
“Consider it done.”
Your bare limbs tangled together as you shared wine-drunk, open-mouthed, sporadic kisses, giggling and whispering words of sensual encouragement. How did you become so in sync in a matter of weeks? Sirius had never fallen this hard. “I’m yours, (Y/N).”
You hummed in satisfaction, fingers wound up in his hair.
“I mean it,” he urged. “I love you.”
You didn’t respond. Strange, he thought to himself. You never hesitated in reciprocating, ever. When he jumped, you jumped with him, no questions asked. He glanced at the clock from over your shoulder and watched it strike midnight. It was the first of September. “You’re due at King’s Cross today, aren’t you?”
You nodded, not meeting his eyes.
He chuckled darkly. All of a sudden, he felt cold and strangled. He wanted to push you far away and yet, pull you close to him so you had no hope of escaping. “Will you write to me?”
“Sirius…”
“Don’t,” he snapped. “Don’t say my name like that. I should have known… fucking snake.”
He hadn’t let go of you. “I’m sorry darling,” you whispered, “but I can’t give up on him yet.”
It was all he had to hear. He couldn’t think of how he was going to recover from this, not when you were lying right in front of him. “I think you should go.”
“M-Maybe someday we can–” “Forget it.” He should have seen this coming from the second you walked up to him in the pub. You had come to him for Regulus and now you were leaving him for Regulus. Yet another bit of happiness his brother snatched away from him. But even so... he was your first and Regulus would never know. He would never know that you lost yourself in him. His no-good elder brother. But none of that mattered now, not when you were going back to him. After all, at the end of the day, you were his.
I should have known. Sirius silently cursed at himself, watching the retreating figure of the girl he had fallen in love with. He should have known that you were always on borrowed time. You were gone quicker than the seasons change, and left with him your sweaty, sun-kissed memories.

(1/8) *inhales* *starts screaming like a howler* IT'S HAPPENING OH MY GOD IT'S HAPPENING! Honestly, you have no idea after how many times I checked tumblr after your sbtmas update post. I don't even know where to begin. Probably I should start with moony, right! When he took her flying and asked her to let go of her hands, it kind of reminded me of *that* scene from titanic but with stars and actual flying (sorry jack dawson but remus lupin is and always will be superior). It was just so, so
*inhales too and starts screaming back* HOLY - IT'S HAPPENING! AHHHHHH! REMUSSSSS! AHHHHHHHH - KEEP CALM !!!!!
Ah! now that you mention it, it also reminds me of that 'I'm flying' from titanic!
(2/8) beautiful. I cannot even begin listing everything I loved about that scene or else I would have to copy and paste the entire thing here. "But now, watching her glow, it dawned on Remus that he was holding the golden beam that threatened to paint the midnight sky gold." I mean- I probably read this three times because *screaming* HE'S IN LOVE, YOUR HONOR!!! Also I love, love, love the sun, moon and stars being used to represent mc, remus and sirius. It's kind of interesting sun is actually
I WANT YOU TO KNOW I WAS 100% SCREAMING WHILE WRITING THAT ENTIRE SCENE LMFAO! I'm glad you liked it! It was definitely *so far* one of my favourite scenes to write
(3/8) a star so they are similar and belong together, but also the moon and sun are kind of opposites and opposites attract and complete each other. So both sirius and remus are good matches for her but have very diffrent dynamics... I don't know, I am probably overthinking again. But I just don't know who to ship her with at this point. And I don't think you are going to fast with their relationship, their relationship progressed so naturally and beautifully, especially since the beginning
Well when I was in the planning stages of figuring out what I wanted to really add in this fic, one of the first things that came to mind was taking advantage of the moon and star metaphors. it makes things so much more romantic / angsty and plus - they're there. what am I supposed to do - not use the absolute gold I have at my finger tips? (see what I did there)
and no! I always encourage predictions being made. some of my readers have been scarily accurate and it scares the fuck outta me but they're hilarious to read! Like I had one clever reader send in a prediction of what was going to happen and my jaw dropped. Spot on!
also for the MC and remus' relationship progressing - I had to cut out so m u c h because it really was too rushed. But don't worry, it'll be moved to other upcoming chapters!
(4/8) of the sixth year. Okay, I know this chapter was remus' time to shine but can we talk about sirius for a minute? The way he looked at with so much vulnerability in front of everyone. Couple of chapters ago he didn't even cast a spell at her during their duel and bowed in front of her. Considering how romantic feelings are foreign to him, it's crazy to see how much he grown to care for her in a short amount of time. I can't help but love their chemisty, even after everything that happend.
SIRIUS! darling... I feel awful. I can't wait to write his POV of how he's feeling sometime in the near future.
yeah, I was also trying to go for the intense guilt he feels about everything so :p I love torturing characters, don’t I?
(5/8) And there were so many little things in this chapter that made me so happy. McLaggen already started causing drama and I'm so here for it. Sybill celebrating her birthday. Matthew being the best friend ever (When gaplin family owl arrived, i though something happend to him and I was terrified). Lily finally talking to mc again! Regulus' extravagant gift! But being dramatic must be a Black family thing. I can't belive he got her a ring that practically screams "the noble and most ancient
McLaggen - stirring the pot. sly mother fucker haha!
Matthew made a little cameo! I love writing him :D!!!! I have a few things in store for his arch and ughhhh ahahahahah. and omg! no! If I was going to hurt Matthew, I wouldn't do It this early. (That sounds like a threat haha)
(6/8) house of black" while hiding their friendship. Somebody bound to connect the dots (sirius maybe?), right? And he's with his parents for "an event"? Very suspicious. P.S. Bc I'm not creative with names (like remus' parents) I was calling the bunny furry little problem the second or moony jr. in my head. And as for name... flopsy could be cute. I know it's very stereotypical but there was a children's book called "the tale of flopsy bunnies" and I feel like remus might have been familiar
Lmfao fucking Regulus - or really the black family - always one for the dramatic. I can't wait to *eventually* write more of dramatic ass Sirius.
I've also been referring to the bunny as 'furry little problem' in my head haha!
(7/8) with muggle children's books because of his mother and idk, naming a pet after a book character feels like something he would do. Also floppy and flops were some of the nicknames james used to call mc, so it could be cute (But owl bait is also a brilliant name as well). P.P.S. Can we talk about how after mc comes to his dorm for the "bunny time" (very cute btw) remus said something like "i feel like you're using me for my pet" and in one of the previous chapters mc told him he was using
- also I'm surprised you remember that part about James calling her 'Flops' ETC considering I only mentioned it briefly. Wow! And you're absolutely right, it would be such a cute call back to the MC!
I'm going to be running a 'poll' (idk if I should call it that) sometime within the next few days of a list of name suggestions I've gotten and let readers choose the name! and I'll totally add your suggestion to the list. love it!
(8/8) her for the casette player. I don't know if it was intentional but for some reason that made me laugh so hard. And seems like I talked way too much again thank you for this chapter and thank you for listening/reading my ramblings, I guess. *screaming stops* *howler rips itself into pieces* -🌸
It was intentional! I'm glad you caught on!
and thank you for rambling, as always I loved reading it! Made my week :D xx I wish you a wonderful day/evening 😊

Pure Blood 16 (Sirus Black x F!Oc)
Words: 2,096
Masterlist:
Chapter 15 // Chapter 17
Tumblr media
"Did he lecture you for not killing that family?"
Remus couldn't believe what his friend was saying. For a long time, he heard many stories about Sirius's cruel family and when he started the meetings with Persephone, he believed that it would be something similar, but with this… The Singhs won the worst family competition.
"Yep," she replies as she took a bite out of her cookie.
"That's a horrible thing."
"My family is,” Persephone recalls what happened to her older sister and is debating whether to keep the promise with Juno or warn her friend.
"Say it already, it always smells burnt when you think,” Remus jokes causing her to scoff.
"It's nothing, and don't think I forgot our exchange,” He stops laughing and his hands start to shake a little.
"First you must tell me how you knew it,” He sighs.
"It was just clues, remember when we fought in third year because the other three idiots were out of their dorms at dawn?"
“No," she looks at him in surprise.
"Didn't they tell you?" Remus denies confused and she sighs.
"One night... I-” Persephone suddenly blushes. "I was going to see a boy from Ravenclaw- before you say something, nothing happened, it was just kisses- then everyone went to the bedrooms, on the way I ran into them, Pettigrew just trembled with fear but James and Sirius started yelling at me. To tell the truth, I was too happy at the time, I didn't mind seeing them, I wasn't going to accuse them– I was also breaking the rules, but they yelled at we started arguing. Obviously Filch discovered us,” Remus’ body tenses. “It struck me that you were not with them. I started to notice you more. Your wounds… sometimes you seemed sick, I didn’t understand why they were awake that time, but I suppose that in time I discovered your secret. It was their fault if you think about it.”
"That explains a lot of things.”
"What do you mean?"
“I remember it, third year. It was when they couldn't go and I broke my arm” He shakes his head. “I ... I was bitten by a werewolf when I was just a baby, I have lived with this thing all my life…” His eyes water. Persephone decides to take his hand as support. "They discovered it and they wanted to help.”
"What did they do?"
Remus chuckles.
“Animagi."
She raises her eyebrows in surprise.
"Sirius is a dog, James a stag, and Peter’s rat.”
"Padfoot, Prongs, and Wormtail,” She rolls her eyes and Remus laughs.
“Moony," He adds, pointing at himself. “At first I tried to refuse, but they ignored me. Since then, they have been working to be animagi, until they got it later. When it is a full moon, they transform and help me not to hurt myself or others. Werewolves don't hurt other animals. "
“Wow…”
“I know they’re not your favorite people, Percy. But thanks to them, my Little Furry Problem - that's what they call it - is more tolerable. They are my best friends, I owe them too much,” Remus adds totally honest.
"That's... well, having friends," says Percy and he looks at her.
“Jenna would surely do the same.”
She laughs. "I don't think so, that is, I know that she would support me in everything, that's obvious, but looking for a way to change yourself to help a friend, even I couldn't think of something like that.”
Her thoughts drift and she can't help but envy Remus. He’s very lucky to have them and Sirius as part of that group. She remembers the adventures they once had, the stories they shared, the sadness they comforted together.
"You're lucky, Wolfie.”
Remus smiles.
"You too, it's not to brag, but from the marauding group, now you have me,” She watches him with a sad smile. "We are in this together, Percy.”
—————————————————-
Percy’s POV
The weeks pass and the exams end, everyone can breathe, my meetings with Remus continue without problems and regarding my research on Muggles, I think I have improved, I know much more. I must admit that it was not easy to understand some things– Luckily, Lupin is patient, with each meeting our friendship has grown stronger, which I appreciate.
The potions classes with Sirius are... quiet, to tell the truth; we’re a great team, but we barely share a few words and they’re only to pass ingredients. I guess that's than to yell and push. We don’t dare to look each other in the eye and I don't know how to feel about it, Slughorn is pleased with our performance and doesn’t miss the opportunity to show it off to all the students and teachers.
"How is it possible that he keeps talking about us being so drunk?" Sirius whispers.
I giggle as we both watch Slughorn talking to a student, who only nods at the professor's babble.
I turn to Sirius, who’s dressed in a black shirt, with some of the buttons undone, dress pants, and his usual tousled hair.
"Apparently he's glad to finally have you on his pedestal of students," He grimaces.
"It was never my intention,” I laugh again and he does it too. "You look... pretty today, Singh.” He says quickly and then take a little from his glass.
I feel my cheeks burn and tuck a lock of hair behind my ear. Right now, I appreciate Jenna lending me her red dress. I was surprised that she had one like this, with no neckline, medium straps, a small bow under the chest, pretty straightforward, reaching just above my knees. To tell the truth, since Slughorn invited us to one of his “exclusive” parties, I didn't really want to, but both Jenna and Lily forced me to come.
"Thanks, you don't look too bad either…”
"Do you think this circus also has to do with us? He usually does these parties during Christmas…”
"Surely he wanted proof," He nods.
"Do you think if we leave now, he'll notice?" He walks to be in front of me.
"I don't think so, it won’t take long until he tries to show us off with a broom," Sirius bites his lip, drowning his chuckles.
"I need to talk to you. Can we go somewhere else?" I raise my eyebrows and he rolls his eyes. “It's important.”
I nod and we both leave the room, we walk through the empty corridors, only the moonlight and a few torches lighting our way.
"And?"
"I thought about what you said– you know, in your house,” We stop. "I know that maybe I don't usually think things before I say or do them- that's what Remus says- that's why..." He cocks his head a little. "I can only tell you that, no matter how the plan turns out–” He looks me in the eyes. “I… I wouldn't force you into something you don't want, and if everything goes wrong…" He stutters.
"I understand,” I see sincerity in his eyes.
"I know I hurt you, Persephone," I feel shivers when he says my name. "I'm sorry.”
"It's a little late for that, Sirius.”
"I know, I just-"
"Why did you walk away?" I interrupt him, he seems surprised.
"I- I don't... I don't know.”
"You replaced me, you never worried whether if I wanted to be with you, just... you pushed me away."
"I don’t know.”
I nod and walk away a little, fighting back tears.
“All right.”
________________
After that, everything passes quickly and our fifth year is over: Ravenclaw wins the house cup and everyone gets together on the train back home.
As for me, everything changed: Apollo and Isis returned to their homes with their families, Balder will stay with his friends for a while, my parents didn’t object.
My parents and Juno barely speak to me. It’s sad to see how my family is slowly breaking down and I can't help but feel guilty, my letters to Remus express it very well, but he keeps telling me that this is not my fault. I guess he can't understand it anyway…
My only help for not going crazy were the letters between Remus, Lily and Regulus, and truth be told, I was quite surprised when I received one, earlier in the holidays.
‘Singh,
Obviously I write this to you by force, Remus demanded that I do it, I don't know why he doesn't do it, but anyway.
Given our truce period, I should start with: How was your vacation? Although I don't care, you can answer this letter... or not.
We’ve been in the Potter's house, I suppose that my vacations do not compare with the hell you’re living, somehow I feel… sorry for you.
And that's why I remembered something that I think is vital for the plan to continue. What happened with your family that made them hate you so much?
I tried to get information out of Lupin, but he refused. My family has a thousand and one reasons to hate me, I can't understand why Ares's favorite girl can be so loathed.
I have to go.
SBx’
The end of the parchment has a huge ink stain.
At first I thought it was a joke, but I decided to answer him, something very brief, I couldn't tell him about my parents that summer by letter, I don't know when I can tell him, but apparently my answer reassured him. Another surprise was that we both continued with the letters, without realizing it, I was looking forward to the Potter's owl.
Sixth year
"I can't wait for the exams,” says the redhead with emotion.
"Say something like that again and I'll hit your pretty nose, Evans," I grunt.
She laughs nervously at my expression.
"I just want to pass them, they’ve made me nervous and I studied during the whole vacation," A new growl comes out of my mouth.
“Lily, there’s a reason that it's a vacation, there's no school, you don't have to study. Also, we are just starting, we haven't even had any classes!”
"I can't believe this, but I agree with the snake, Lily flower," comments James, surprising everyone. "I know, I know, but don't get used to it.”
The marauders together with Lily are gathered in the room of requirement. I’m on a huge cushion leaning against the wall, next to Lily, who’s sitting on the floor. The rest are scattered throughout the room.
"Oh, come on. Remus will understand,” The boy blushes a little and rubs his neck.
"Ha!" I laugh, pointing at him. “He didn't study either!– You see, Evans? You're the only one who studied on vacation, you little bookworm,” I say.
"She always gets nervous, it’s normal to want to be prepared," Lupin defends.
"Don't try to fix it, Moony," adds Sirius, putting his arm around the boy's shoulders.
"Okay, let's go back to where we left off: The plan.”
"Yes, the big dance will be in November, James will be there with his family. We should all gather any important information. ”
"We must know which minister will officiate the wedding, then we will see what we’ll have to do…”
"I read that their families have very specific marriage rituals," adds Lily.
Sirius and I wince.
"Don't tell me we have to spend a weekend at each other's house to meet the family," I complain.
"I have no idea…”
“That's quite rare."
"Well, although I love being with all of you, except the snake, and I'm not complaining about your presence, Lily flower– but I have a meeting with the Quidditch team…” James takes his things, the rest of us have nothing else to do now so we get up.
Upon leaving, a new conversation started between the marauders, while Lily told me a story from her childhood.
Sirius's body collides with mine. I can feel his arms at my waist, then he takes my wrist and pulls me toward the entrance to the gardens. It forces me to crouch on the floor under a window frame.
"What the fuck is wrong with you Black?!” I squeal. His hands cover my mouth.
"Shut your mouth, I just saved your life!” I look at him totally confused and he rolled his eyes.
Little by little we look out of our hiding place.
"Sirius?" The others walk up to us.
"No! Please– We’re not here, don’t make it obvious!” He says with worry.
"Who are you hiding from?" Lily asks.
"Trixie Jones!” He whispers in terror.

A, D, I if you fancy it :)
I definitely fancy :D
A. of the fic you’ve written, which are you most proud of?
Ohhh, this is a hard one. I’m very proud of most of my fics, and often for different reasons, so I’m not sure how to choose one to be the most proud of.
I think, possibly, when it comes down to it it’s probably no longer easy on the eyes, my 2015 rs_games fic. I achieved everything I wanted with this fic, no loose ends I didn’t have time to tie up (I did cut it close, though), characterisation just the way I wanted it, the story progressed the way I wanted it, and I didn’t struggle too much to put narration back into my writing after having written a bunch of fairly dialogue heavy fics prior to it. And also, I just really wanted to write a fic about Remus and Teddy being father and son and what kind of relationship they would have if Remus had lived, and then I went and made it a Muggle AU and turned the AIDS metaphor into a non-metaphor. At the same time I wanted a type of “get back together” story for Remus and Sirius. So yeah, I loved writing this fic, and I still love it almost two years later, and I do sort of consider it to be my final R/S story, I don’t really have any more stories about them left to tell.* Thematically, this one is a sort of sequel to the time travel fic, which though it’s a Teddy/James story, is the first time I tried to poke at the Remus & Teddy father/son relationship.
Also, because I did just talk about POV in reply to another ask, no longer easy on the eyes has two POVs! Both Remus and Teddy have a POV in this one.
*I have an ancient Sirius & Regulus wip languishing in my gdocs because I haven’t figured out an ending for it yet and also it’s in script form because I was trying my hand at comic scripts at the time. So I’m not like done done with R/S and their family relationships, but I also can’t promise that this fic will have R/S in it, or that I’ll ever actually finish it. I live in eternal hope. :’D
D. what are some themes you love writing about?
Well :D whenever I got this question in the past I would always say “family relationships” and if you look at my fics it’s definitely true. I think I’m starting to lean away from it, though. All my current wips have one thing in common: they’re not about family. :p not in the way I used to write about family, i.e. parent/children relationships or sibling relationships (I don’t mean incest).
My current wips are more focused about how to coexist or connect with somebody else. Most of them are romance, so that stands to reason, but even my fantasy heist novel which is also about patriotism and loyalty and thieves having honour, is, at its core, about people making bonds or struggling with the bonds they have made. The space au I’m currently writing is also one of those, the premise is pretty much that Caius and Al have been in a queerplatonic relationship for the past five years (since the end of shadow magic, if shadow magic had also taken place in space) and now have to marry for ~Reasons. (And it takes place in space because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. ) This triggers them to really look at what they have and what they want and the ways in which what they have is currently not working. NO WORRIES THOUGH, it’ll have a) a happy end and b) the solution to their problems will NOT be to “upgrade” their queerplatonic relationship to a sexual one. Because that is a trope that needs to die and I will not be perpetuating it. Just putting that out there! Caius and Al are safe with me.
I. a passage from a WIP
Space AU excerpt:
Caius jabbed a thumb directly into a hard knot in Alcibiades’ shoulder. Pain bloomed up his neck and down his right arm.
“Sometimes I don’t even know why I bother,” Caius said, then dropped his hands. The mattress dipped slightly and then the sheets rustled. “I’m going back to sleep.”
His shoulder hurting more than it had before, Alcibiades turned awkwardly to speak to Caius, but found he’d pulled the blanket over his head. He’d settled on his side, facing away and radiating contempt like a fucking circadian lamp at ass o'clock in the morning.
“Caius.”
No reply. If possible, the lump under the covers looked even more hostile.

Regulus Black x Angie-Forget Me (Part two)
Summary: You’re a Hufflepuff and you’ve secretly been dating Regulus Black (for almost two years, but when Regulus becomes a Deatheater he does something drastic, in order to protect you from Voldemort and the other Deatheaters.
Angies POV
I opened my eyes, looking around at my surrounding, I noticed that I was in the infirmary. Waves of confusion washed over me; why was I here? What happened? Why can’t I remember anything from last night?
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard Cathy talking to the nurse and running straight to the side of my bed.
“Are you okay?” She asked, worry filling her voice.  I just nodded not really knowing whether or not I was alright.
“What happened, Cath?” I asked, hoping that she would know the answer.
“Sirius found you last night, passed out, up in the Astronomy Tower, so he brought you here.” She explained; however that just created a new question for me: Why was I in the Astronomy Tower last night?
A few hours passed and I was allowed to leave the infirmary having not eaten in a while Cathy and I decided to go to the Great Hall and get some food. When I entered the Hall I saw Sirius, James and Remus. Remus and James were playing wizarding chess and Sirius was just sort of watching.
“Hey guys” I said as I walked over to the group
“You’re finally out of the infirmary then.” Sirius exclaimed, hugging me before we both sat down.
“Yeah, I’ve got a terrible headache though” I sighed.
“You must’ve hit it when you fell to the ground or something” Sirius replied. I simply nodded.
“In fact, that’s why I came over here, Cathy said you found me up there last night, but I have no idea why I would’ve been up there, I don’t suppose I mentioned anything to any of you?” I asked, looking at Sirius expecting him to answer but instead hearing the answer from Remus
“I think I remember you saying something about wanting to go up there to get some inspiration for one of your paintings” He said, his focus still on the chess game. Sirius nodded in agreement( That does make sense I was trying to do a new painting but I was lacking inspiration) Sirius and I continued to talk for a while, whilst James and Remus finished their chess game, until they left to go up to the common room, at that point I walked over to the Hufflepuff table, joining Cathy for the end of the feast.
Time skip-that evening
I was sat in the Hufflepuff common room with Cathy and a few of our other friends, laughing and joking; when suddenly Jack Turner entered the common room. Jack Turner was the Hufflepuff heartthrob, everyone wanted to date him (I mean who wouldn’t, he was sweet, kind, caring, funny, smart, and not to metion extremely good looking).
“Angie, um could I talk to you for a minute? He asked. All of my friends were looking at me, all of them with subtle smiles and raised eyebrows (except for Cathy, she just went back to sketching in her book).
“Um, sure,” I replied nervously standing up and following him outside the common room.
“So, y’know there’s that trip to Hogsmede next week, right?” he asked and I nodded not trusting my voice.
“Well, I was wondering if you wanted to come with me?” He asked looking at me. I felt heat rush to my cheeks.
“Of..Of course” I began “that sounds great,” I continued, looking up at him with a smile on my face.
“Awesome,” he replied smiling back at me, and then leaning down to place a kiss on the side of my cheek. “I’ll see you then,” he said as he walked off down the staircase. I walked back inside the common room, being greeted with many questions from my friends (except Cathy who just sat there still doing her sketch). I explained to them what happened and they all giggled with excitement, before leaving to go to bed; leaving Cathy and I in the common room.
“Cath, is something wrong? You’ve been acting weird ever since Jack wanted to talk to me?” I asked, usually she would be the person to be the most excited about this sort of thing.
“I’m fine; just got a lot on my mind, that’s all” she said simply.
“Wanna talk about it?” I asked kindly, trying to suppress a yawn.
“Nah, it’s all good, you should get some sleep it’s pretty late” she pointed at the clock, to show how late it was.
“You coming?” I asked getting up from my seat and making my way over to the stairs.
“I’ll be up in a bit,” She replied and I nodded walking up to my dorm room and falling asleep.
That morning-Cathy’s POV
I felt terrible, I just wanted to tell Angie the truth. That she was meant to be with Regulus and not Jack, he was nice enough but Regulus is the person she really loves even if she couldn’t remember…
I was on my way to Herbology, when I saw Sirius and James, so I decided to explain to them what happened last night.
“Oh jeez” James sighed.
“This is gonna break Reg’s heart” Sirius whispered as he ran a hand through his hair.
“I don’t know what to do guys, I wish I could be happy for her…but what she’s feeling its all just a lie” I said sadness running through my voice. “Are we even sure this is the right thing to do…?” I asked looking at them.
James just shrugged his shoulders “ It’s not our decision, it’s down to Regulus.”
My vision then turned to Sirius, he just sighed “None of it matters anymore, the memories are gone and we can’t get them back, it’s too late for that. And Regulus won’t talk to her because he’s petrified someones gonna hurt her.” He put his hand on my shoulder “I’m sorry, Cathy, but it’s just how it’s gotta be.”

Pure Blood 3 (Sirius Black x F!Oc)
A/N: I am sorry that this chapter is so short, BUT something big is coming. And I also want to give a notice, as you already realized, I stink to update on Wednesday, so I can't promise to update one day, but if I can promise that I will update often, thanks for the support :))
Words: 1,484
Warnings: None!
Pt. 1 // Pt. 2 // Pt.3 // Pt.4
Tumblr media
Percy POV:
After several days, the weekend finally arrived. I can’t believe my first week has been so stressful! And I’m aware that all this anxiety is inside me, outside everything is good: Classes were easy and our work was simple, the only difference was the warnings about our OWLS. All my friends got scared, but not me. It’s nothing I can’t handle.
All I usually care at school has been shadowed by the whirlwind of thoughts destroying my head and distracting me from my normal life. I tried to keep myself busy, so I finished all my schoolwork for the week and now I’m sitting here, under a tree in front of the lake with my legs tightly against my chest and my chin resting above them. My eyes fixed on the water.
I feel a knot in my throat and something stinging on my chest, each day grows uncontrollably, the memories from my past vacations coming back harsh as ever.
They were a family. They had done nothing wrong and I… I didn’t do anything to stop their terrible fate. Even though I had the chance.
Tears are pouring over my face, my father’s dark eyes chase me and his screams resonate in every single one of my nightmares.
My own family expects me to become a muggle murderer. Voldemort and all his followers are starting to grow and my parents are more than willing to participate but this family… they hadn’t done anything wrong. I could see the terror in their eyes… in the boy’s eyes.
I couldn’t do it.
The muggles are scared. Like us, they have jobs and families, they have… a destiny that has nothing to do with ours. What makes us different is magic, but they don’t know that. They don’t know we exist. Most of them, anyway.
Is it different with muggles parents? Being a half-blood, why am I supposed to hate them? Why are my parents so blind that they see muggles as enemies?
If a conflict arrives, we have resources, more than them. All magical, but, if they have none… Why do we have to hurt or kill them? Why do we hate them?
“I see you’re losing your time,” I jump slightly at the voice. Raising my head, I see my older sister Juno.
I let out a sigh and turn back to the lake.
“I don’t have anything else to do,” I see her sit next to me by the corner of my eye.
“Why the long face? Oh, don’t tell me you’re still crying about what happened back home,” I clench my teeth and she just chuckles, “I admit that at first it’s hard, and a little weird, won’t lie about that. But then you get used to it, you even enjoy it. Get rid of muggles and traitors…”
“And what if I don’t want to get used to it?”
“What?”
“I don’t want to,” I blurt out.
“Stop being a baby and face your fate, Persephone,” She replies passing a hand through her hair.
“You’re sounding like Dad,” I huff.
“And what’s wrong about that?” I close my eyes for a moment, and when I open them, I decide to face her.
“You’ve never wondered why do we all hate muggles so much?”
“Don’t start that,” She rolls her eyes, “just do what Dad says and-”
“Wait, you mean I just start to kill people and nothing else? Oh, right. Cause that’s so easy. How did I never think of that?”
“I knew you’d be the weakest. You know, for a moment I believed all your act, you could fool our family and I think even yourself by annoying all the muggleborns in our school, but just look at you while after seeing my dad in action, getting rid of a few scum. I guess your real you finally came out. I’ll wait to see what kind of punishment does my dad use on you once we get to your imminent treason.”
She gets up and starts to walk towards the castle, my anger only grows and I scream before I think it through.
“You know nothing, Juno!” She turns around.
“Oh, the princess wants to defend herself?” She mocks, but the smile vanished from her face in a matter of seconds, “Stop pretending and do the whole family a favor: Disappear.”
Her words sting. I can’t believe that my older sister has turned into a monster, the same girl that used to play with me, that gave me advice. That hugged me when Black abandoned me. The one that promised to look after me… now wants me gone.
“What have they done to you, you weren’t like this,” I whisper.
She gives me a devilish smile, but before she can answer, someone interrupts us.
“A fight between sisters? Interesting,” Says James Potter, we look in his direction to see he’s with Remus and Sirius.
“Talking about siblings, What did you do with mine, Singh? He looks like a lost puppy, looking everywhere for you,” Adds Sirius. I bite my lip, drowning in guilt.
“Since when do you care about him, Black?” I retort.
“Oh, please, little Reggie’s still part of the family, which means he’s related to me and… let’s say that it might affect my reputation with girls if he can’t stand being away from you for long periods of time.”
I’ve been evading Regulus all week, but if I’m honest, the last thing I need is Reg asking me how am I doing every five minutes, I have enough with Jenna, all worried about me. I know both of them have good intentions, but I can’t deal with it right now. I’ll talk to him… later.
“And what a reputation you have, Black. They know you with many names, Traitor for example,” Says Juno.
Sirius’ miles tenses slightly, his attitude changing.
“Sorry, but I only can talk with one crazy lady at a time”
Juno laughs.
“Always so funny, what’s the use of that? I guess your family must be so proud of you. You think I should write to your mother? You know, just so she knows everything you do in school.”
Sirius closes his fists and James seems to notice, putting a hand on his friend’s shoulder and trying to calm him down.
“Alright, we better start to cool off,” Sirius brushes his hand away, James and Remus shared a worried look.
“And what if I talk to your Father, Juni?” My sister clenches her teeth at the nickname, Sirius used to tease her a lot with it when we were friends.
“They won’t believe you,” Both of them step closer.
“Oh, but daddy Ares doesn’t want any kind of rumors surrounding his daughter, right? But sure,” He chuckles, “you’re the least important Singh, I know that. I guess you’re right, maybe they won’t care at all”
“Sirius,” I gasp, the boy knows that’s a sensitive subject for my sister.
Juno glares at Sirius with all her anger and for a moment I think that she’ll take out her wand, but she just shakes her head.
“I don’t have time to argue with a child like you,” She scoffs, turning around and walking towards the castle.
“Juno,” I try to stop her, but the only thing I get from it is a harsh push that makes me fall flat on the ground. She doesn’t look back.
I ignore the pain on my elbows and back, standing up. I turn around towards the boys, standing in front of Sirius.
“Happy?”
“Actually yes, I am quite pleased,” He smirks.
“Well of course, cause now you’re taking advantage of the pain you cause on other people, right?” Once again, he seems angry.
“Don’t get things wrong, honey. I’m not a snake”
“You have all to be one though, just ask Severus.”
“He deserved that,” Says James, but we both ignore him.
“Now you defend him? Are you going to change my brother for Snivellus?” I pass a hand through my hand, exasperated.
“I can’t believe you! Why do you even care Who I date or don’t date? why are you waiting for me to make a mistake so you can shove it on my face?”
I step forward and he steps back, taken by surprise.
“What if I want to date Regulus? What if I don’t? Who do you think you are to criticize my every action?”
He stays silent and it’s then that I notice how loud I was talking. Luckily it’s just us but now I’m crying again. I step back a little, ashamed of my own outburst. I look down, biting my lower lip, shaking.
“Forget it. Just… forget this happened and leave me alone”
I run back to school without looking back, at this point, I just want to go back to my room and never leave my bed.
