I’m a big fan of getting the mood shift / big bad out there as quickly and suddenly as possible, to be honest. Spending chapters dreading what’s coming isn’t fun. But getting slapped in the face with that bad thing right when you’re relaxed and enjoying the fluff? That’s the perfect time 😈
