right, he's still the same character. but there's such a difference in tone between s1 and s2. i also hate how they handled (or rather didnt) the storyline with the therapist. and fandoms treatment of that storyline? just as bad, if not worse than the show with constant jokes and mockery. - e

I honestly don't think i've seen fandom deal with that storyline (storyline might even be a stretch, on the show it felt like a one and done when we really... should dig into that A Lot... but it's possible that's coming later in s1). but maybe that's for the best based on what you're telling me 😅 it really sits badly with me, maybe because in my professional life i have a lot of ethical considerations and i'm not even a therapist. and for it to be a throwaway funny moment like that? It's just gross.

Also it turns out everyone in s1 is just a little bit sharper, and I love that! but also I miss my chim. I miss my bobby. we need s1 to get them there and i get that but. where is my firefam and what have these people done with them. I think I would be fully on board with these people for 4 more seasons if I hadn't seen who they become and loved them already, which makes sense because no one over at fox thought I'd be an idiot and watch in the world's most chaotic viewing order.

one thing I have been really surprised by is how s1 goes really hard in showing you athena and hen's friendship and idk if it's because they thought they established it early on or what, but later seasons don't have that some commitment to it imo. it's really nice to see and on my 'manifesting for s5' list that's near the top - bring back friend dates!!! let athena and hen go get a beer!
