My thoughts are, they wrap securely around each upper arm, and quite literally turn into silver arm clasps as a means of protecting themselves against intruders and the like, and will only reveal themselves to others after a bond of secure and infinite trust has been wielded. They will then slither from Nausi to affectionately wrap themselves around the wrist of the other person, showing that they do trust them enough to not hurt them. They eventually will make their way back to Nausi, as a form of ouroboros. Her mobius strip : wholeness and infinity. What is sent out is thus returned, finding a home there.
