I’ve mentioned it once before but when me and my one circle of friends I call a lot are bored we go to any anime site and press the random button until we find a show that looks interesting and last night it landed on turn a gundam so we decided to all watch it even if I was keen on X or G being my first Gundam-it’s likely gonna be G just so I’m not instantly in the niche hole 💀 I just gotta get time to start it cause Ive been busy-and my immediate impression from first being exposed to Turn A was “this is neat but now I understand why people say you should watch other Gundams and other Tomino shows first, cause this isn’t a huge reference fest or anything but it definitely feels like you should know how the fuck Tomino works or else this feels weird”

#meg text #I will say it wasn’t bad like and I wouldn’t call it boring but tominos pacing for ep 1 was- odd #like it could’ve been worse but he was like “yeah I’ll take my time” then proceeded to have a random time skip #which you only know cause lorans hair got longer which is a neat detail but still happened out of nowhere #overall I like the aesthetic of this show and the characters from little I saw so far seem very enjoyable #but this is one of those things where “yeah I’ll come back to this later” LOL #I feel less bad about it though cause unlike other stuff I recently put off I just saw ep1 so that’s nothing #and also for my first exposure to this franchise it could’ve been worse- I could’ve saw one of the bad ones first💀
