Clearing out some stuff from my laptop, and I found this interview from 2001 in Japan, where Matt talks about more ambitious stage sets they wanted to try out when they were able to. Muse have always been thinking really big in terms of performance and the live experience as a whole, it's just that they had to wait around till they had the budget to do productions lmao.

Their idea of rotating stages with different genres going on on each stage sounds almost like a festival to me!
