I know I’m already super biased toward Toriyama’s writing style but there’s something insane about the fact that this dude took a character and backstory I disliked so much 20 years ago that I stopped caring about Toei’s movies altogether and revamping him into one of the most sweet and sympathetic men without disrupting his power or the level of fear he can invoke in an opponent to better fit into the tone and message of the universe he created and now I Love He

I want to be that good at what I do

#And granted!!!!! Toriyama has DECADES of experience on me!!! I have time to get better!! But goddamn 😭💜#This is about broly I kiss him leedol head I tuck him in so snug #My brother LOVES OG Broly — like he programmed his custom PC to be Broly themed he *LOVES* Broly #but he was not for me and I hated the writing in that movie so so much fjjdjdjs #And when I finally came back to db and heard they did ANOTHER Broly movie I was like ‘ugh’ and then it was one of the best animated movies #I have ever seen.
