I have got to get over my knee-jerk reaction of "Absolutely not" for any game that's exclusively online multiplayer. I'm confident there are online games that I would enjoy! However, I simply cannot make myself play them bc the idea of having to interact with strangers while I'm trying to destress feels wholly counterproductive

There really are not many rules at this point. Explore and have fun is rule #1. Rule number #2 is respect the spawn area. Rule #3 is don't be a shithead. If it's discovered that you are flooding/spamming chat, using hacks, x-ray or degrading the performance and experience folks are having on the server you will be banned. How far out should I build my base? Some folks have built 20k+ blocks out from spawn but that's way overkill for most people. You should be fine at about 5k-7k blocks out as long as you take care with placing your nether portal so that it's hidden.

I'm not really sure if I want to play on a semi-anarchy server... This is many people's initial reaction as well. They are worried that their builds were going to get griefed and will lose everything. This is not the case on this server. Players are generally friendly and will not grief your stuff, especially if you've gone out of your way to be friendly.

Does the server restart? The server restarts twice daily.
