I think it should get to the point where they should genuinely just stop printing Harry Potter. Not just because of Rowling as a whole, but because it’s also going to get to a point where the books – which are a time capsule in and of itself at this point, a staple of a specific love and nostalgia – will just lose their magic. Like there’s a lot of copies online, either kept rather untouched or battered to hell but still legible, just buy them. Pass the second-third-fourth hand books around as much as we can until the corners are curled and the covers are white from the crackly fold damage. Beautiful.

I’ve been looking into replacing the two unread replacements in my collection of the series with the #og covers go match the rest (and let’s face it the jonny duddle cover art looks super pretty but is otherwise quite soulless)#so had to go to second hand stuff (don’t want to support JKR anyway) and I am just so in awe and saddened over the amount on the market.#I want to buy all of them. they’re so beautiful (hi my tism is over books can you tell)#eta: okay so the wording was clunky. the jonny duddle copies in my collection were bought when they first came out by my mother because she #couldn’t find ootp and dh when giving me her old series. actually I think dh was lost and ootp retained water damage and turned like black.#I hated those covers so much that by the time I reached 1/4 through ootp I gave up and lost the hyperfixation lol I don’t like those copies #soulless. exceedingly soulless.
