Well if canon won't supply, then I sure will!

My baby Kel Dor headcanon, in which they hatch from eggs and grow from hatchling to tailless toddlers (fully capable of moving on their little chubby limbs and supporting the weight of their own head) in a single month from consistent feeding as they emerge from their nutrient-rich and highly specialised underground nurseries.

Their metabolism and aging slows there on after and the infants are then dependant of their parents, who are eagerly awaiting for their young to emerge so they can name the child appropriately and begin their role in child-reering.
