Ahah, being someone with two siblings, I can also agree it doesn't make you any less lonely. I just feel like when two only-children with less than ideal childhoods come together, it's only natural they would have multiple kids. It just feels right, at least from a writing perspective, y'know?
I also definitely agree it can be cumbersome trying to give two fankids their times to shine (much less four, like I have). I think that's part of the fun of it, though: you get to kinda just embrace the chaos. I also just find the mental image of a bunch of super-powered kids running around a house hilarious lmao.
And I see your tags ;) I know it may seem strange for Steven and Connie to have an unplanned kid at face value, but you've gotta remember that Connie's planning ain't flawless in the slightest. As a reminder, she was perfectly fine with dancing with Steven in front of the Diamonds. Sometimes her love and passion can be her downfall, especially when unpredictable variables (like Steven's magic) get involved. Also, it's just fun to write Connie, someone who tries planning for everything, being caught off guard by a pregnancy LMAO.
I always find it strange when people headcanon Steven and Connie as "one-and-done" parents. Both of them grew up fairly lonely and unsocialized, so I feel like they would, at the very least, have two children. You also have to take into account Steven being Steven: he's kinda the nurturing type, and something tells me that behavior wouldn't disappear going into adulthood.
#I feel like I still don't know much about vonvon btw#like I get they're goofy but I wanna know more#I wanna know their hobbies and interests and what they do in adulthood haha#Personally I have all my fankids' lives plotted out for writing purposes#hub speaks

18 May 2023: What are 10 (or more) things that you like about your life?
My parents. They have been a consistent support system throughout my life. As I grew into adulthood throughout university and after, my perspective on them has changed to another form of love and respect. Having them by my side is a privilege not many have and I’ll always be grateful for them
My dog is the cutest thing in the entire world. I wanna explode every time I see her face XD
Being able to dip into fandom content a bit. A lot of the people are so cool and creative! It seems like such a niche thing some people irl don’t quite get hahah, but being able to cultivate a space to learn and understand other’s perspectives on stories and characters you also like is fun
My body and how it is capable of doing the things I want it to do. There was a time when I felt self-conscious about my looks, but as I’ve gotten older I I’ve learned to not be too critical of it. It’s the only one I’ve got after all
I'm grateful that I’m in a position to actually indulge in my hobbies as a stress relief and form of escape when life feels overwhelming.
My sister and especially how we have gotten closer during university and after. We used to not be able to stand each other growing up haha, but now I consider her my best friend
I’m capable of making my own fun. It’s refreshing to get out and spend time with friends, but also if I want to do something or even nothing by myself, I’m okay with that too. i'll turn up the music and dance it out in the house like a goof
Being in a place where the weather is starting to warm up for the season. Getting outside now to enjoy the sunshine almost always lifts my spirits
I like that I’m in an area professionally where I feel as though I can learn and grow.
I like that I want more out of life. I know that I don’t want to stay in the same place and I’m eager to make moves to be in a place where I feel happier.
nearly forgot about this one but we're 4 for 4! it's been an interesting challenge to consider both the smaller and larger aspects of life one can take for granted
