My Sigyn Variants (Fate Brought Us Together)

These are my different Sigyn variants that will be throughout my fanfiction, Fate Brought Us Together as I continue to upload more chapters. The story mostly focuses on Veronica & Sigyn, but the other variants will of course be introduced later on when we hit the Loki Series portion of the story. 

I thought it’d only be right to give you an early introduction to them. More will be revealed on them later. 

Veronica Foster (aka Human!Sigyn)

Portrayed by: Keira Knightley (with brown hair)

BIO: When Sigyn gets killed centuries ago, she is reborn as a human and the younger sister to Jane Foster. Veronica is a normal human girl until dreams/memories of Norse Gods start to plague her, holding the answer to something she has yet to be revealed, but is part of her destiny: to meet Thor who will reawaken her as Sigyn and bring her back to Asgard. It is one of the many paths weaved out by the Norns, but what if it goes wrong? What if Thor never arrives? What if Veronica is snatched away before he can reawaken her? (She appears in the first 4 chapters, but Veronica Foster will be explored more in later chapters.)

Sigyn (Main)

Portrayed by: Keira Knightley (with Blonde hair)

BIO: Born in Asgard and raised by parents who are diplomats for the royal family, Sigyn grew up raised alongside her childhood friends, Loki, Thor and Sif. At a young age it is discovered Sigyn has been gifted by the Norns with magical abilities – especially to receive prophetic visions of the future. Not questioning the task fate has in store for her, the goddess follows the flow and makes a mark for herself as one of Queen Frigga’s handmaiden’s. However, she didn’t expect to fall in love with her childhood friend, Prince Loki, which is who her fate is bonded to. However, she is also in the sights of the Captain of Odin’s Royal Guard, Theoric. She ends up marrying Loki, but the happy marriage doesn’t last long when she sacrifices her life to save Asgard and Loki from a plot to use Jotunheim to create another war. She is reborn centuries later as the human Veronica Foster. Once reunited with Thor who helps her reawaken and remember who she is, Sigyn finds her destiny leading her back to Loki, just in different directions.

Sigyn Odinsdottir (aka Dark!Sigyn)

Portrayed by: Eliza Dushku

BIO: Orphaned at a young age, Odin decides to take Sigyn in and raise her as one of his children. In a universe where the use of magic is outlawed in Asgard and Loki wasn’t raised by Odin, she practically follows in the footsteps of Main Loki, holding bitter resentment for Odin and Thor...except she takes it to much worse extremes. She’s the reason Ragnarok happened for her timeline.

Myth!Sigyn

Portrayed by: Eleanor Tomlinson

BIO: The Sigyn we all know from Norse Mythology who is Loki’s wife and protects him from snake venom with a bowl when he is punished by the Aesir. She’s grieving the loss of their sons, Narvi and Vali, who have been used against each other in order to help bind Loki.

Kid!Sigyn

Portrayed by: Kristina Pimenova

BIO: Childhood friends to Loki, Thor, and Sif, she witnessed the event of Kid!Loki killing Thor when they were children. For this reason, she was sent to the void with him. She has trouble controlling her powers and is afraid to use them.  

Paired with: Kid!Loki

Vanaheim!Sigyn (also known as Sigyn Freyadottir)

Portrayed by: Yu Shuxin

BIO: Daughter to the Goddess Freya, she is Princess and soon to be Queen of Vanaheim once her mother steps down. She doesn’t want to be in this role, much less stuck in an arranged marriage to someone she doesn’t love. 

Paired with: Boastful Loki

Male!Sigyn (aka Siggy)

Portrayed by: Bradley James

BIO: Siggy trained as a warrior for Odin’s royal guard in order to better protect his childhood best friend, Princess Loki. He’s shy and clumsy, but tries his best at everything he does. When Princess Loki goes missing, he blames himself and searches for years to find her.

Classic!Sigyn

Portrayed by: Emma Thompson

BIO: Sigyn survived the attack from Thanos and has been continuing to try and find her place in the world, thinking her Loki was killed. 

Paired with: Classic!Loki

Fox!Sigyn

BIO: There is no good explanation for this. I mean, if there can be an Alligator Loki, then there can be a Fox Sigyn, okay. Plus the animal she is associated the most with in Norse Myth is a Fox, so let’s go with that.

SIGYN FREYRDOTTIR (AKA WARRIOR!SIGYN)

Portrayed by: Kathryn Winnick

BIO: Adopted by Freyr, God of Fertility and Sun, brother to the Goddess Freya, Sigyn grows up raised by her aunt as a warrior and magic user. However, she ends up following in her adoptive father’s footsteps, falling in love with a Jotun named Loki.

Paired with: Jotun!Loki

SIGYN (LADY LOKI’S WIFE aka Nymph!Sigyn)

Portrayed by: Holliday Grainger

BIO: This is strictly because I wanna see a nice, sweet-faced and blonde Sigyn be paired up with Katie McGrath as Lady!Loki and have them cuddle and be sweet with one another, but also angst.

Paired with: Lady Loki (Katie McGrath)
