Started long awaited The Magnus Protocols, and it feels like a let down so far. It usually takes some time to get invested in new characters (not counting statements, short stories always deliver), but I have such a hard time discerning the voices that 5 episodes in I still don't even remember the names. For the first time in many years I wish for running subtitles in my head and it's not because of the accents or my level of english, but the amount of sound effects. Feels like you need to readjust the volume with each scene, and the soundtrack/scape stresses the shit out of me.

I know it sound ironic when talking about horror podcast, but I love the genre with all my heart and disturbing sounds or content never were the issue no matter the mood.

Tempted to just read the transcript like a book, since I believe the story itself must be great.
