I'm curious about your crafting to-do list. It seems like a lot of pressure to put on yourself! Does having a list/deadlines help motivate you? I gave up on that because it felt too stressful for me, haha.

Hi! To-do lists can absolutely be too stressful for me, but I've learned a few things that help me manage that and make them more inspirational than stressful. For me, that mainly means having my to-do lists be rough guidelines, not rules, and leaving space in my schedule to impulse make things when I want to. I mean, my 2023 to-do list post here is less a to-do list and more of a like "here are some things I'm thinking about making" and a note to myself to not forget ideas? I do have an actual to-do list that I need to get done, but the due dates on the things are like one in February, one by June, and like three by November, so I am giving myself a lot of time so I can do things like spend a week playing with my new accuquilt thing and assembling scrap blocks and then getting distracted quilting a different quilt lol I got a little sidetracked in my answer, but no, lists and deadlines don't motivate me at all. I have them, because my memory is not great and I need lists to remember things, and I have deadlines because there are commitments I have agreed to meet, but I don't like to-do lists. I do like possibility lists though! It feels like brainstorming and sometimes it gets people here on tumblr to suggest things I never would have thought of but that I have a lot of fun making

I have an excel document where I keep track of all art that I've purchased/commissioned since 2021 because that's when my huge craze for collecting art from artists I like started. I did this to really put into perspective how bad my 'nochillitis' gets. I've--- spent a lot on dA artists lol. (don't get me started on gacha games)

If anyone knows Prince of Tennis, I have all of the 'Valentine Day Kiss' songs. Wouldn't you know that they keep releasing a new one every year? I collect them!

I don't know how accurate it is because I was doing it in my car and people were walking around so I got nervous but, according to singingcarrots, My lowest singing note is a F#3 and my highest is a D6.

Tbh I don't understand what this means. KHR has a bit of crack humor to it, which appeals to my troll heart. It's easy to do wholesome fluffy things with Haru as well as it is to do angst. IDK if that answers the question.

— plots vs memes

Mmm... so I'm fine with winging threads and seeing where things go, but plotting things out usually does retain attention for both sides. Memes are fun, even if I tend to write them as if they are standalone things. Some memes are fine to be continued- but the drabble ones usually aren't. I do always make sure to specify that somewhere, either in tags or in the response itself.

If I had to say, I have a stronger preference to plots since it's easier to cater things to your muse. Memes are something I throw onto the dash when I have the time or in the mood for it. I don't have the best relationship with the inbox, so I personally don't have a good association with memes in general.

— long or short replies

Depends on the definition. I'm honestly not very good with sentence threads, and I will often slowly veer into paragraph territory. I tried sentence threads before, but that's when I was hit with 2 word responses- which is why it's in my rules to never give me 2 word replies. It became a peeve of mine.

The shortest I can go is probably a paragraph. The longest... I think to date may have been something between 1.5-2k words? I write whatever feels right for me in the moment, and I honestly don't mind however much or little my partner wants to write.

I can however be asked to keep my replies within a certain length (ie 3 paragraphs) and i'll adhere to that. 8)

— best time to write

Any time i'm not distracted with youtube/discord I tend to be more active in the afternoon to late evening hours. As for chatting, I tend to prefer hours 10am-4pm because it feels like it's still early in the day that I can afford to be distracted with conversations. After that, I do try to stay away from discord if I can so I can focus on writing.

If I have nothing to work on, then any hour of the day i'm awake is a good time to talk.

In addition to this, I retain the right to decline service to you for any reason, and I have the right, as well, to do so without explanation.

I owe you nothing until you have paid. In addition, after I send you the sketch and you give me the green light, you will pay me in full to do the rest.

I require a visual reference. I will not work off of description alone.

I usually will ask if you want to see WIPs along the way. (WIPs stand for "work in progress" and this means I will send you screenshots of the artwork's current state) If you say "no, surprise me", understand that this means you will not be involved in the artistic process and you can't tell me to change things or modify things along the way. That being said, if you receive the artwork and don't like it/want things modified, I may not be able to because it's already finished. No refunds will be provided in this situation. In addition to that, if you specify you want a surprise before I begin the process and/or don't want to see the initial sketch, you will pay me when I tell you "hey, the sketch is done! Do you want to see it or do you want everything to be a surprise?"

I do not do discounts upon request. If there's a discount available, I'll let you know. Do not ask me for them.

I do not do art for free. Don't ask me for free art. This is a commission ToS anyways, I only do art trades and requests for close friends.

Understand I can be busy sometimes, and often life may get in the way. I can take a really long time to complete your comm, I'm actively improving on this. I am handicapped so yeah, it happens. If I end up taking too long I'll offer refunds or compensation.

You may not re-upload my art without my permission. You may not modify the piece in any way without asking me, and you are forbidden from moving or altering my watermark. If you post my artwork, I'd like for you to credit me somewhere. I have my socials hooked up pretty much everywhere.

You may not trace, copy, or "heavily reference" my work. This goes for my characters' designs as well, don't do that. Be inspired, that's awesome! Someone telling me they're inspired by me makes me so happy! Idc if you "color-pick" either because nobody owns color palettes! Just don't outright copy me and we're chill.

Want to use my art for your website, page, banner, pfp? That's chill! If you're using it for pfp / banner / personal stuff idc, you don't have to credit me but it'd be awesome! For things like websites in which you intend to sell things, do business, etc., let me know and please credit me somewhere.

I reserve the right to use my artwork for whatever I see fit. Whether it be examples, on my websites commercially, whatever it is.

Refund Policy

Refunds are currently unavailable due to being unable to pay transactional fees. Thank you for understanding.

I want to give you the best service I can. If you want any changes to your piece, please let me know as I am working on it. I will change it as you like during the process, but I cannot make drastic changes once it is done. I will not offer refunds in the following situations:

In the event that you agree to have me send you WIPs and progress screenshots and whatnot if you tell me afterward that you suddenly want something else, I cannot refund you because I've already done all the work.

If you tell me you want the entire process to be a surprise, you cannot ask for a refund if you don't like what you receive because I've already done all the work.

If I am already mostly finished with your piece, I cannot refund you if you do not want it anymore. I'll finish your piece and apologize to you, but once more, the work was done and I was close to finishing.

You may be eligible for a refund in the following situations:

While I am still working, if you decide you and I do not click and my service does not suit you, I can refund you. However, understand that if I've already done work for you, the refund will not be full. This means that if I'm already coloring or shading the piece, or just simply midway through the process, I will not refund you in full due to me having done work already. Depending on the work I've already done, that will determine how much I'll give back to you.

If you've paid me during the usual circumstance (that I sent you the sketch and you liked it, which would then lead you to pay me in full to finish the rest as per my policy) and I am at any point in the flat coloring process, if you decide you are no longer interested in my service during this point and time, I will refund you completely.

If I take too long to complete your piece, depending on the work done I will refund you.

Second commission for @beastofflevance featuring Sakazuki again!! I hope he isnt too ooc - since a lot of these word prompts are s/o relevant I didnt want them all to be like "no he is mean and doesnt like people >8(" so there are a few liberties I guess!! Anyway! Hope you like it!! 💙

Sakazuki - Blood, Snow, Ice, Silver, Heart, Hand, Flower, Gold, Glass, Bone

Blood: How did they react the first time their S/O got badly injured??

. At first he doesn't really know how to react.

. Sakazuki always thought that the thing he cared about most was the Marines and his absolute justice, but as he watches his partner fall to the ground, red already blooming across her chest, he's not so sure.

. But there are still enemies to fight, and Sakazuki will always do his duty – but maybe he dispatches his foes with more speed and ferocity than usual, a little more desperation than before.

. He is by her side as soon as he can be, directing the troops under his command to get the injured to the infirmary. Not specifying her, obviously, but if she happens to be the first one seen then that's his business.

. Sakazuki can't be by her side much during her recovery. He has so many responsibilities to see to but he makes sure he gets frequent updates on her progress from the head medic.

. He visits when he can, but it is infrequent. Partially because of his time constraints and partially because he feels this boiling feeling in his chest when he sees her lying there. He hates to see her in pain.

Snow: One thing they love about their partner?

. Sakazuki appreciates confidence.

. In his partners self, in her looks, in her kindness, in her mind, in her morals or her decisions and actions – it doesn't matter which.

. As long as she can show him conviction in some part of her life he will stand by her always.

. Physically he loves her eyes.

. There is something genuine about the looks she gives him that makes him need to look away or risk that hot feeling that she sometimes elicits from him. Sakazuki is not a man who blushes easily.

. He would never admit it, but he could lose hours staring into those eyes.

 

Ice: One thing they dislike about their partner?

. For someone to catch his interest in the first place they have to be something special, but Sakazuki is very picky.

. He will always find something about his S/O that bothers him, but it will be small.

. If he finds something big about them that he doesn't like he won't be with them for long. He's just not tolerant enough to stay in a relationship with someone who can bother him that badly.

. So for Sakazuki it's something small about her that bothers him.

. Something like biting her nails or kissing her teeth. Humming while he's doing paper work or running her fingers through his hair to distract him.

Silver: Do they keep their promises?

. Sakazuki considers himself a man of his word so he doesn't make promises he can't keep.

. If his partner wants something from him Sakazuki is always realistic with her. If her request clashes with a pre-existing commitment he will be straight up and decline it.

. But he is organized enough to plan ahead. If he knows there is an important date coming up for him and his partner he will keep it free so when she asks if they can do something he can say yes.

. Sakazuki won't say “I'll try.” He either can, or he can't and he doesn't see the point in mincing his words.

. So he doesn't make promises often, but the ones he does make he always keeps.

Heart: When did they first realise they were in love?

. Sakazuki might not be the most emotional person, but he knows his feelings, so it doesn't take long for him to realise that it's deeper than just attraction.

. It's probably a quiet moment between them that does it though.

. He's been working for hours, bent over a desk trying to sort through all the mission reports that have been submitted to him.

. He hasn't eaten or had a drink in hours, but he's too intent to stop now, ready to work through the night – so when she appears he's surprised, thinking she would have gone to bed hours ago.

. She brings a steaming pot of tea and a small plate of food that she puts on his desk, watching him as he stretches from his hunched position.

. And she rubs a hand across his shoulders, gives him a peck on the cheek and leaves him to get back to it. She doesn't ask him to stop and come to bed, she knows him better than that.

. Sakazuki feels content in that moment. He isn't used to having someone look after him like that. And he is surprised to realise how much it meant to him.

Hand: How do they show affection to the people they care about?

. Sakazuki has such a stern personality that it is very hard to pick up when he is being affectionate.

. He's very private so he doesn't really like to show too many feelings in front of other people, he keeps most of his affection for with his partner behind closed doors.

. But there are small things.

. When out with his partner he will place a hand on the small of her back, keeping her close. He will pull out her chair when they sit down for dinner, and makes sure she is served first.

. Sakazuki will always put her before himself. Will try to maintain a presence and ask her about her day. Will always try to spend time with her when he can.

. He doesn't believe in frivolous gifts and he will never buy her trinkets – he hates clutter – but if she shows an interest in something when they are out and about he will remember it for a later date.

Flower: How protective are they over their loved ones?

. Oh, so protective.

. Sakazuki can count on one hand the people he cares about – with digits to spare.

. His preferred method of protecting his special people is to keep them out of harms way in the first place.

. If he can keep his partner from the front lines then he will. He doesn't care if it hurts their feelings, he cares that they don't get injured.

. There aren't many people in the Marines that are dumb enough to threaten Sakazuki's S/O, so he doesn't have much to worry about on that front.

. But if someone outside the Navy were to become a problem Sakazuki wouldn't tolerate it for long.

. And his brand of retaliation will leave the other person drinking through a straw.

Gold: What was their first kiss with their S/O like?

. Sakazuki is the kind of man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to get it, in relationships and any other aspect of his life.

. So he isn't at all hesitant at the thought of kissing his S/O for the first time.

. Until he is face to face with them, looking into those beautiful eyes and that hot feeling is bubbling inside him again.

. Sakazuki moves in slowly, giving her the opportunity to pull away if she desires, but he feels her hands on his chest as she goes up on her tip toes to meet him.

. The kiss itself is short and sweet, lingering a little at the end.

. He feels a little hot under the collar with the warm feeling of her lips against his, but he doesn't let it show.

Glass: Are they open with their partner? Do they allow themselves to be vulnerable around them?

. Sakazuki doesn't talk about his feelings, even with this partner - unless it directly effects them.

. He is so private and he doesn't like involving other people in his life if he doesn't have to. He doesn't enjoy letting people in and he doesn't enjoy sharing how he's feeling either.

. His partner would have to be something very special or they would have to be together for a long time in order for him to open up about his emotions.

. Unfortunately Sakazuki is not in the habit of being vulnerable in any way, shape or form. It just.. is not something he is willing to do. He will never willingly make himself look less than the controlled and powerful person he has built himself up to be.

. If emotional intimacy is important to his partner they will find Sakazuki somewhat lacking.

Bone: How do their react if their S/O gets hurt because of them?

. Sakazuki is furious. He's furious that he is always so careful and meticulous about keeping his S/O safe, and then he is the one that injures them? Ridiculous.

. He has very good control over his moments, so Sakazuki knows he didn't hurt her badly. But he did hurt her and he hates that.

. That feeling of embarrassment and worry that mingles within him is not a feeling he enjoys, and he is angry at himself. Unfortunately it seems to translate that he is angry at her.

. He will tell her to get up, will brusquely check over her injury and treat her if it's required, all the while glowering.

. Sakazuki will berate her for not being more careful, that she is lucky that the wound was so minor – but really these are things he should be telling himself. He won't stick around for long, feeling foolish and guilty.

Ezri makes it to the third rung of the stepladder before her spinning head becomes too much. She shuts her eyes, gripping the ladder tightly. Vertigo isn't usually a problem she has to deal with, and she thought she'd be able to help with hanging the last decorations for the Gratitude festival.

“One would think,” she mutters under her breath, “that after living here for eight years I'd have less trouble adapting again.”

“Did you say something?” 

Prylar Jeryo is looking at her with some concern. Ezri sighs. 

“On second thought, I think it's better if you use the ladder.” 

Ezri spends the next hour morosely passing banners on to the prylar, who seems to have no problem with the arrangement despite his cumbersome robes. To add insult to injury, her head keeps spinning throughout. 

They eventually reach the sector of the Promenade hosting the main stage. Jeryo folds the stepladder, thanks her for her help and leaves. Ezri has nothing more to do but wait for Kira; even Quark is probably too busy with the preparations to be much company. 

She sits down on the stage, legs dangling off of its side. Memory, Ezri knows, is a tricky process for all humanoid species. Despite the symbiotic relationship currently keeping her alive she's not immune to the progressive degradation and transformation of her own recollections. Every time she recalls anything, that memory will be irreversibly changed by the recalling. Maybe if she'd been an Initiate, Ezri would know how to best preserve her previous experiences of the Gratitude Festival without filtering them through regret and melancholy; then again, it's unlikely that the Symbiosis Commission has any power over neurochemistry. 

She and Kira used to spend the whole day together. Well, Kira and Jadzia mostly. But Kira never ignored Ezri during the festival, nor she's ignoring her now (she has promised to find Ezri as soon as she can), it's more that— coming back for the holidays, instead of already being here, is more difficult than Ezri expected. 

She postponed going back to the Academy for months, out of fear that things would not be the same. Of course now that she did, they aren't. Ezri knows about change, she has lived through it too many times to count, yet accepting its inevitability doesn't really get easier with time or the next life. 

There's a renewal scroll tucked in her right pocket, ready to be burned in the ceremonial flame. She has to let go, Ezri knows that; she'll never find her own path if she doesn't. And she'll never stop coloring her relationship with Kira with memories that don't belong to this life if she never learns who Ezri Dax is far away from here. 

A voice she knows all too well calls for her from the second level of the Promenade. Ezri grins, hopping off the stage. There will be new experiences to make on this station, new ways in which her friendship with Kira will transform. After all, she'd never miss the Gratitude Festival.
