Okay, here’s the dealio guys. I LOVE interacting with you guys. All the notes and reblogs and tags make it all worth it.
And I used to sell comfort character letters on Etsy.
So, I figured what better way to involve you guys in my writing?
Then to do the same here!
I will NOT be selling anything here, these will just be very short letter blurbs I write for fun.
With that being said, in my askbox PLEASE let me know if you’re looking for a letter, a match, or an ask for a fic. I don’t want to get anything mixed up.
I am open to write for ANY character on my master list. On your ask please put anything you want included in the letter (name, relationship, situation etc) and whether you are okay to have it posted on my page or if you want it sent to your inbox.
❤️

Dumb shit I made that will probably never sell but I love it anyway, episode 1
1) This idiot
[image description: digital art of a gray pigeon holding a french fry in its beak. It has angry eyebrows and stands in a triumphant pose against a dark blue-green background. Next to the pigeon's head are the hand-lettered words "Ultimate Power." End ID.]
Your mishandled treat Treasure for a loitering Carbohydrate thief
It's been several years and I still think this drawing is hilarious. It's been on Redbubble and/or Etsy this whole time and I think I'm the only one who's ever bought it.
I don't know how to explain the appeal using SEO keywords. There is no niche to market this to. I don't care. This pigeon needed to exist.
Currently available as a sticker, a tote bag, and a metal pin button.
2) Up to no good
[Image description: Digital art of a Siamese cat with yellow-green eyes, wearing glasses that are taped to the sides of its head. It has a shifty expression and holds a yellow-green book titled "Wreaking Havoc for Fun and Profit." The background is a darker shade of the same yellow-green. End ID.]
Hang on, I think I had haikus for some of these because at one point I got tired of writing descriptions. WAIT YES. I'm going back and adding the pigeon one too.
Do not disturb him This feline is working on His Master's degree.
Again, the taped-on glasses endlessly amuse me. I have a T-shirt with this guy on it. Appropriately, our most havoc-wreaking cat once poked a hole in it with a claw.
Currently available as a T-shirt, tote bag, and sticker.
I still don't expect these to sell tbh but I am going to celebrate their existence by posting them here.

Hey guys, first and foremost I would like to apologize to everyone for just dropping off the face of the earth like that, only to come back, teasing you guys with a return, and then have nothing come from it.
I want to first tell you guys what I’ve been up to that has kind of thrown my life off track, keep you guys in the loop ya know.
So I started college, a proud film major. and that was beyond stressful. During this time I went through bouts of sadness and anxiety (a norm for me 🤪) but long story short i just didn't want to do anything. I also had a job for a quick minute, that was fun but I had to give in my two week notice once school started. The beauty supply store will never be the same without me 😌.
All in all, it’s been a pretty big change but I like to think ive, for the most part, adjusted now. I am still a HUGE fan of Harry Potter and i still LOVE to write.
This all being said, IM COMING BACK BABY
FOR REALS THIS TIME
but things will be slightly different, i don't want to take in as many requests as once and then get burnt out half way through so my plan is to take fewer requests at one time and put more time into my work. I also won't be able to post everyday like i used to or at least tried to do, but again i want to give you guys good work and id rather take some more time to do just that.
next, i was thinking of starting a small etsy business where i sell personalized letters from characters, y'all know the type. but this is just a thought.
and most importantly, I WANT TO GET TO KNOW YOU GUYS. the whole ‘followers’ thing is not working for me. I want us all to be friends, ive been thinking about making a snapchat for this blog and that way we can talk more and its more personal idk, oR a private instagram something of the sort where we can all hang out and do things idk. but i love all of you guys that follow, support, like, reblog, comment on my posts, even if u just smile a little and keep scrolling hen you see my blog... I LOVE AND APPRECIATE YOU
so yeah im gonna end this post here and i think ill write up a little game plan in the next one just so we are all on the same page regarding fics, requests, and works in progress :)))
stay tuned
aH IM EXCITED

Text || Kurt and Finn
Kurt: I found the Q.
Finn: Did you need it to make Quorilla or something?
Kurt: No. I was swiffering and found it under the couch because someone can't control his limbs while he plays board games.
Finn: Listen. My arms are long. Not my fault. But I'm glad you found it because who knows if they even make replacements for those things.
Kurt: They do. People craft with them and sell things got outrageous prices on Etsy
Finn: Really? I was gonna try to think of something I'd want scrabble tiles on but there's nothing there. Just in the box is fine.
Kurt: I mean people spell out names and do crosswords for their families or wedding dates. They can be cute if done right(edited)
Finn: That actually sounds kinda cute, if you're into that stuff. If you and your partner fell in love over scrabble.
Kurt: I think I've seen a YouTube video where someone proposed over scrabble.
Finn: That's sweet. I feel like you'd both have to be super smart to enjoy that.
Kurt: most likely. Kurt: So how is everything going with glee? Picked up any new sheet music?
Finn: No I haven't gotten anything yet. I'll probably go next week to start getting stuff together. Still kind of letting the news set in still.
Kurt: Yeah, I bet. I don't think any of us thought they'd continue this time.
Finn: I was really surprised. When they called, I was so ready to do the whole "I understand, thanks for you time" thing and then it wasn't like that.
Kurt: Did they give you "another year" or any sort of time frame?
Finn: Another year. So I'm guessing it's the same thing as last year. Win nationals and they'll see what happens. Which is kind of not fair. If they're gonna have glee club, just have it. No fine print or ultimatums. Competing is fun but knowing everything depends on it kind of sucks the fun right out of it.
Kurt: Yeah, I know. I mean, I know how it was like when we were members, but I can't imagine how it is now. Kurt: I hate that I'm asking this, because I don't want to be like everyone else, but is this what you want? If it is, then I'll support you 110%. All that pressure, like you said, takes the fun out of it. Glee club is supposed to be fun. It's not supposed to be a job you have to worry over so much. You should only be worried about if you're being fair with solos or what lesson you're going to give the next week. Not if you'll have a job next year.
Finn: It's like when we got that extra year the first time, but not as exciting. Finn: Everybody keeps asking me that and I keep saying yes. Finn: But yes doesn't feel right. Don't get me wrong, I loved teaching glee club last year, but I got kind of set on the other thing. Or at least the idea of the other thing.
Kurt: I think I got kinda set on that idea, too. Kurt: You do know you can say no, right? I know it's probably difficult to let Mr. Schuester down, but he has to understand that what you want matters too, Finn. I think sometimes you have your mind set on making everyone happy to the point where you forget about what you want because it's the right thing to do. But what you want matters, too, Finn.
Finn: I know, I know. It almost doesn't feel like that though. Leaving them without a mentor or whatever would be kind of crappy.
Kurt: So find them one. Kurt: I know it's not that simple, but you have options.
Finn: what like make them do a job posting? I'd wanna be involved in who takes over. August 14, 2021
Kurt: More like you find someone that you think would be great for the glee club. The only thing the school cares about is a trophy, but if you care about the glee club. You'll pick the right person.
Finn: So you’re saying I should look and then when I find someone, tell them I quit and say this person will do it?
Kurt: Not...exactly in those words. Kurt: But for all intents and purposes, yes. Kurt: Tell them because they took their time in answering you about the glee club that you had already made decisions about your future and that you found an amazing replacement for yourself.
Finn: this is a lot to think about. Finn: I mean, you’re right. I did make other decisions sort of. Finn: but on the other hand- what if I do that and get rejected again? Then I’ll really have nothing.
Kurt: You won't have nothing. Kurt: I got rejected from NYADA and I was going to stay in Lima- but Blaine pushed me to go to New York. So I did and I made lemonade out of lemons. Kurt: Then I kept at it and I finally got my shot. Kurt: You can do that, too. Maybe Mr. Schue could even write a letter of recommendation.
Finn: You're right. It's not the end all be all. I could get a job or something in the mean time. It doesn't have to be school right off the bat. Finn: I'll think about it. I don't know where to even start when looking for people.
Kurt: You could always see what Bryan Ryan is up to. I heard he's more bearable since he got that Role that Mr. Schue gave up. Maybe check the community theatre? Kurt: Just not Dakota Stanley, please.
Finn: The jean jackets dude? Man, I haven't thought about him in forever. Or Dakota. I'm never gonna forgive him for starting the Frankenteen thing.
Kurt: Is he the one who started that? It's been so long I thought it was Santana
Finn — 08/14/2021 Finn: Yeah unfortunately. Then everyone else kind of rolled with it.
Kurt: Everyone else meaning Santana. Kurt: But either way you have options. Kurt: And I'm not going to be pushy and I'm not going to yell at you whatever decision you make, just know I have your back.
Finn: Basically. But at this point I know she only says it from a good place. Well, as good a place as possible. Finn: I know. And thanks. It's weird because there's this between thing where I wanna know what people thing but not in a telling me what to do way.
Kurt: I understand that. The last thing you want is people telling you what's best for you and treating you like a child who doesn't know any better. Kurt: I hope I don't do that. August 15, 2021
Finn: You don't. For the most part. Everybody just wants to help I think. It's cool, but a lot from all angles sometimes.
Kurt: Yeah I understand. Kurt: How about if you ever want to talk about it, you can come to me. Until then I can keep giving you lists of rom-coms you should watch.
Finn: I like that idea. Maybe I should give one a shot tonight as a thank you for helping me out.
Kurt: You better text me your recap as you watch!
Finn: I will. You'll get a live blog basically
Kurt: Good! Talk to you soon, Finn
Finn: talk to you soon, bro.

Journaling Supplies
Journaling makes up a huge part of what I do here, especially behind the scenes. I spend a lot of my work day every Friday working on journals and planners, so I thought that I would share some of the supplies that I use regularly.
I’ve had a few years to build up my collection before I started posting on this blog. Journaling the way that I do is a very active part of my business, which means that I put a lot more money into it than other people might. I don’t want anyone to be discouraged by what they see in today’s post, so I’m going to start with my basic supplies, then move on to the “extras” that I use for work.
The Journal
You need a journal to journal, right? That’s pretty obvious. The question is, what kind of journal? Does it matter?
Well, no. It doesn’t.
You can start with any old journal or notebook. I started out with a basic Mead brand spiral notebook - you can get them at pretty much any store in bulk, especially around July and August when the Back-To-School sales start. That’s my favorite time to shop for supplies, by the way. I know places like Walmart and Target sell them for about $0.10 a book those months, and through the rest of the year they’re maybe $0.50 - $1.00. Nice and cheap, and they do the job just as well as any fancy, expensive journal.
Over the years I’ve collected spiral and case bound journals in a bunch of different sizes. I’ve bought them from $0.10 all the way up to $70.00. It can be a very cheap hobby, or a very expensive one, and it’s entirely up to you.
If you’re looking for a new journal - maybe to follow along with the prompts and ideas here on my blog throughout the year, this is a good start. This link will take you to a 2-pack of hardcover, faux leather journals with thick paper for about $15.00. You shouldn’t have to worry about bleed-through even with Sharpies on these, but always do a test page for your writing tools before you start writing, just to be safe.
It’s not so expensive as to break the bank, but it’s a nice little splurge if you feel like spoiling yourself with a nicer quality journal.
Writing Tools
I tend to be very, very picky about my pens for journaling. I don’t like super cheap ones because a lot of the time they either dry out too fast or leave those ugly splotches in the middle of a letter. Yuck.
However, for the cheaper end of pens, I’ve never once had trouble with Paper Mate. Right this minute I’m using these Paper Mate Profile pens, and they’re wonderful. They write very smooth, the ink dries quickly (the most important thing for me, as a lefty), and the colors are very bold, which is great for journaling and planning.
You might be tempted to use pencils for your journal. What if you make a mistake? What if you decide you don’t like what you wrote. Well, you have every right to use a pencil, and they will last. After my grandmother passed away, I was given her hand written recipes, and there were a few that she’d written in pencil in the 60s or 70s that were still perfectly legible.
If you do decide to use a pencil, I recommend a #2 or 2B, just like you use for your standardized tests in school (in the US, at least). They’re very cheap, everywhere has them since school children need them almost constantly, and the graphite is hard enough to limit smudging, but soft enough for a good, dark line. If you want it less smudgy, perhaps try an HB. You might have to pay a little more, depending on where you go, but it should help with a longer lasting entry. If you do decide to journal in a softer, darker pencil, I recommend investing in page protectors or archival quality clear tape or clear coat, to preserve your writing when you’re done.
Markers are also a lot of fun for journaling, especially if you tend toward a larger or more bubbly script. I’m a big fan of writing with Crayola fine tip markers - fine enough that you won’t lose your letter shape, but thick enough for fun, bubbly font. The only trouble I’ve ever had with them has been that sometimes the marker nib absorbs too much ink, and then it starts leaking everywhere and I get multicolored fingers and some ink splotches. You can usually avoid this with proper storage though.
Extras
What are some extra things you might include in your journal supply stash? Well, I have a whole bin of supplies, so you might be surprised.
Greeting Cards - You can get them for $1 each at your local Dollar Tree, and it’s easy to include them in your journal. Just glue or tape the back of the card to an empty page, and there you go. This can add color or pop to your journal, and you can find them in very simple or very extravagant designs. I have a bunch that have little pop-up cutouts on the front.
Washi Tape - Yeah, I know, this is a little over done, right? Honestly though, the designs are really cute and I love using them on the edges of pages. If you’re journal includes things like lists or planning spreads that you might want to revisit, washi tape is a good way to mark those pages.
Stickers - I’m a huge fan of stickers and so is my fiance. I think I pick up a new sticker book at least once every other month, more if I can swing it. There are so many options, and you can find a sticker for just about any interest you can think of. Etsy has a bunch, and since the creators there tend to be small business owners, you’ll be helping them out instead of giving your money to a huge corporation (if that’s a concern for you). I also know that a lot of the time, if the store is 90-100% stickers? You can usually contact the shop owner and ask for a custom sheet. They’ll almost always be happy to accommodate you.
Envelopes - Like greeting cards, you can just glue or tape these in on a blank page, or inside the front or back cover. Including envelopes in your journal is a great way to store important keepsakes, notes, or just things you find that you want to keep safe.
----
This is a pretty basic list, but it’s a good way to get started. Almost everything I’ve listed here can be found for less than $10 (the linked journals being the only exception, and only because it’s a two pack). Journaling absolutely does not have to be expensive, and if you’re passionate about it, I’m sure that like me, you’ll acquire a larger stash over time.

~ Questions Tag ✨ ~
Awww, special thanks to @bulletjournalbear for tagging me!!! Thank you!!!
I feel like I should preface this by saying that I’m an old lady in the studyblr tag, as I’m already through college, married, and in my mid-30′s! I love following studyblrs to get nifty ideas for bullet journals, as I make notebooks/inserts for traveler’s notebooks and sell them in my Etsy shop. I’m also consistently blown away by how amazing everyone’s notes and layouts are!! I was never this fancy in college. :-D
1. How do you stay organized (if you do)?
I’m a lover of lists, which is one of the reasons I was first attracted to the bullet journal concept. Currently, I use a grid-lined composition book (I’m thinking about decorating & selling these in my shop!) and a more-or-less traditional bujo method of a daily list with items that carry over. I also try to set up monthly and weekly goals.
For me, it’s important to always have paper because I never know when I’m going to think of something, and I’ll forget if I don’t write it down, so I also carry a small notebook with me wherever I go!!
I think the biggest thing is looking at big goals and breaking them down into manageable pieces. So if I have a monthly goal, I try to break it into weekly goals, and then into daily pieces, so something like “reorganize the kitchen” actually gets accomplished.
When I was in college, the method that worked best for me was to use one notebook for all my notes, but different colored pens for each class. It was easy to flip through and find all my biology notes because they were all in green, etc. It was way easier than lugging around multiple notebooks everywhere I went.
2. What’s your dream course at university, and where do you want to study it?
While I don’t really year for any more formal education in the way of college courses, I really love learning about new things, and I read a LOT. Some things that I’d like to learn more about, and am hoping to take some classes about in the next couple of years, include beekeeping, growing and preserving herbs, canning, and soap making. Now that I’m older I’m way more interested in learning practical skills. :-D
3. Who would you like to see in concert?
Oh wow, I’m too old to really enjoy standing about in crowded concerts anymore. :-D But last year we went to see Greta Van Fleet and they were amazing. I would go see them again in a heartbeat.
4. What’s the most interesting non-fiction book you’ve ever read?
Ever??? That’s almost impossible to say. I read a lot of history and a lot of practical-skills books. One of my faves is The Backyard Homestead published by Storey Publishers. It’s full of practical how-tos!! I also read Russia Under the Bolshevik Regime by Richard Pipes, which was very long but absolutely fascinating. I loved that book so much that I wrote Mr. Pipes a fan letter, even though he’s like this crazy professor in his 90s haha He totally wrote back!
5. If you could have any food right now, what would you have?
There is a local restaurant that makes the most amazing chocolate peanut butter pie. I basically always want some.
6. What is your favorite stationary brand?
I’m always trying new stuff. Recently I’ve gone back to the Papermate Flair pens for easy color, and the Signo 307 has been my long-term black pen that I love. Paper-wise, I make my own notebooks, so there’s that. :-D
7. What are your goals this year?
Really want to visit the mountains again, do a better job with our vegetable garden, and spend more time hanging out with my family.
8. Do you do any sports?
I’ve never been a sports girl, but I do love to hike. We bought a fairly ancient RV last year, so the husband and I are hoping to spend more time traveling/camping/hiking this summer!!
9. Who have you met thanks to the studyblr community?
I haven’t really met anyone, but I have really enjoyed looking through everyone’s creative and interesting posts. I love seeing how many different ways there are to do what is essentially the same thing - take notes, make plans, and journal. It’s so much fun to see everyone’s different ideas and methods.
10, What’s the weather like where you are?
Chilly, but I think things are finally supposed to start warming up today!!! I am super ready for spring. Today the sun is shining and it feels like it is going to be a good day!
I don’t really know anyone on here to tag, but if you read this and think it looks fun, please fill it out!!

Hey there @theyanderedemoninyourcloset ! As, maleyanderecafe said, Julie and I were the ones to produce these letters.
I'll answer your questions shortly but I'll use this as an opportunity to explain where this project came from and the process.
The idea came to us after I (Kai) went on Etsy to look for bottle necklaces to use for a DIY craft. From there, I went down a rabbit hole until I reached "letters from your fav Genshin Impact character". I shared these links with the group chat Julie and I were a part of for a bit of banter. I'm currently super into Zhongli rn- never played the game though. So that's where the joke comes in: where I commission a letter but then tell the writer, "Yeah, I like Zhongli. Idk was an archon is or why everyone is fighting but I want to smack his ass."
A mutual friend of Julie and I suggested that we make male yandere love letters to sell. It was a bit of a joke at first, but Julie and I decided to commit after a lunch hang out the following day.
It took us over the course of several weeks to make these letters. This happened due to several reasons, including scheduling conflicts, gathering supplies, and just putting everything together. The actual written content for the letters took us about three days of writing and editing. We did about three/four each day to prevent burnout and to have time to do our IRL work. Writing each letter (yes, each letter is hand-written) took several days since we needed different handwriting for each. Then we also created the art pieces that went with it. Not all letters came with art but most did. Others came with things we bought at the mall. Then the sealing of each letter and the photoshoot took about a day and a half.
Each letter took varying amounts of time. For your letter, in particular, yanderedemon, it took us about two-ish hours? I was the one who wrote it and it took me about an hour or more to write it. Since it was a snapped yandere, I had to make the writing erratic and angry. Ruined several papers, my desk, and emptied a pen for it lol. Then the art that went with it, took Julie less than an hour. That might be surprised when you see it that it took that long (or the effort) but Julie was using references and was trying to balance bat shit insane and making it coherent.
Overall, the bloody letter was the most fun to make. In levels of challenging, for me, the most challenging was letter 2 since I was the one who made the art piece. It's HUGE and the second priciest, if I remember correctly. For Julie, it's letter 7 since she had to write a lot for it, make the art pieces, and we went out to buy one of the pricey gift that came with it (which is why it's also the most expensive).
I hope that answers your question and anyone else's!
Hello!! Just placed my order for letter #10 :D was curious about how long it took to make each letter! (Also I love seeing your posts come up on my feed 😌) Thank you!!
Oh, you're one of the lucky people who bought the letters huh? That's really cool, haha. Those letters sure are selling fast, there's only one more left it seems.
Unfortunately, I'm not the ones who sent those letters. You might want to ask @thatyanderecritic since they're the ones who produced all of them. It's very sweet to know that you love seeing their posts on your feed because I feel the same way! I wish they were a bit more active again since its been a while since I've seen reviews from them and I miss them.

Note: This article was first posted over at my now-defunct Patheos blog. Due to contractual disagreements, which included them refusing to remove my posts from their site after repeated requests, I am moving some of my writing over here. Please link to this version of the article rather than the Patheos one. Thank you!
Ah, mid-August, how I love thee. It’s the height of summer here in the U.S., with barbecues and campouts and calling the air conditioning repair company because the HVAC is down again. My garden is overflowing with fresh produce and I have no idea how we’re going to eat all this kale, but I’m going to make it work. And all the kiddies are trying to squeeze the last remnants of summer vacation out before having to go back to school. Even the stores are getting in on the act, with shelves and displays full of backpacks and pencils and all that other stuff on the school supply list that just arrived in the mail.
Of course, the back to school displays have been up since the fifth of July. But soon enough (probably just after Labor Day) it’ll be time shopping for Halloween, or so the chain stores say. (Sure, it’s a little early to be talking about this, but I have to beat the stores to the punch!) You can expect endless lines of green-faced witches, styrofoam tombstones, little plastic cauldrons, and strings of Christmas-style lights with translucent smiling skulls and ghosts. Right on cue, the feeds on my social media profiles–Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter–will be full of squealing pagans all excited about “Look at all this Halloween stuff I got from Michael’s for just twenty bucks! They had a sale!” and “I got this cute gargoyle statue with red LED eyes at Wal-mart!” (In fact, I’ve already seen a few posts–apparently Michael’s already has their Halloween stuff out. Yikes.)
Most of the time I just hold my tongue and cringe. The very same pagans who have been reblogging and sharing calls to action about fracking in Canada and human rights abuses in Gaza are proudly displaying cheap, chintzy tchotchkes that are the products of environmental degradation and slave labor. It’s a peculiar sort of cognitive dissonance driven by materialism and rampant consumerism without reflection. It would be one thing if there were no alternative options, or if it were over something necessary to life like access to food or water, or even something educational like books. No, these cheap, mass-produced items (only slightly different from the ones offered last year) are purely luxuries, and not even luxuries in the traditional sense of actually being worth something.
And they come out of a well of toxicity. Those cute plastic window decals are derived from the petroleum industry, which severely damages the environment throughout the entire process of harvesting, processing, and using oil. Fossil fuels are also implicated in a whole host of human rights abuses. That cheap metal candle holder with the flying witch cut out? It was made from metals that were probably unsustainably mined, producing countless toxins and destroying nearby waterways and habitats.
These materials are then turned into purely decorative items, usually by poorly paid and abused slave labor in China and elsewhere. In 2012, an Oregon woman bought a set of Halloween decorations from K-Mart. Inside it was a letter written by one of the workers, detailing the horrible conditions at the factory. It is almost certain that this year’s shiny new decorations from Michael’s and the like are made by similarly abused workers.
And what’s it take to get all these trinkets from China to the United States? Generally they’re sent by giant freight ships across the Pacific Ocean, ships which create a massive amount of pollution and devastate wildlife and marine plants; the noise from these ships also interferes with whales’ ability to communicate with each other, particularly as the sound is often on the same frequency that the whales use.
How else can these big box chain stores sell you their tacky items at low, low prices except through abuses to the environment and our fellow human beings? When you get to pay $5.99 for a packet of paper plates with smiling black cats on them, or get a buy one get one free pair of resin skeleton candle holders, you’re not paying the full price for these things. Other living beings are your coupons, and future generations of humans and other living beings will be paying the price for your purchase for decades, if not centuries, to come.
The sad thing is, there are plenty of alternatives to the crap you’ll find on the big box shelves, and yet millions of people convince themselves they just have to have these useless, toxic items, to include people who claim they venerate nature and believe all people should be treated equally and humanely. It would be one thing if we were talking about something necessary to human existence, like food or water access, or if these were carefully hand-crafted pieces bought directly from the artist. But we’re compromising the environment and each other over things nobody actually needs, and which can be easily replaced by better options.
Want to break the cycle of damaging consumerism? Make your own decorations and costumes using recycled and reclaimed materials, and invite your friends and family to get in on it. Here’s one set of tutorials, and here’s another, and some more over here, and those are just three of the first links that popped up when I Googled “how to make Halloween decorations with recycled materials”. If you want to get really artsy about it, try sculpting your own scary skeletons and witches out of recycled paper mache instead of buying the resin ones from the chain stores.
If you don’t feel you’re artistic enough, consider going through Etsy* or other avenues to patronize artists who make holiday wares. You can ask them about where their materials come from, request custom work, and you’ll be giving money to an individual person, not a nameless corporation. Chances are whatever they make will be better constructed than the cheaply made offerings at the stores, and so will last much longer. It may be more of a financial investment in the beginning, but it pays off in the long run.
Remember, too, that Halloween (Samhain) was originally a harvest festival, and many pagans still celebrate it as such today. This means that edibles like squash, sugar pumpkins and apples all make great decorations. You may also be able to find corn stalks from local farmers, and fall leaves are always abundant wherever deciduous trees grow. Once Halloween is over, you can eat the vegetables and fruit, and compost the rest.
If you absolutely must decorate your home in poor-quality, mass-produced Halloween kitsch, consider checking out Goodwill and other thrift stores in your area. Plenty of people offload their old holiday decorations when they move or clean house, and every year I see aisles full of perfectly serviceable secondhand Halloween items available for cheap. A lot of it will end up thrown out because there’s just too much to go around, and too many people insist on heading to Target to buy brand new costumes and decor (most of which will probably end up tossed, or donated and then tossed, in a few years). If for whatever reason you’d be horrified if your friends knew you went thrift shopping *gasp*, you don’t have to tell them the truth of where that inflatable vampire came from. Just tell them you bought it at the Halloween Superstore a few years ago.
Halloween can still be full of fun decorations and playful costumes, and those of you so inclined can still make your home look like October year-round. But with a little care and consideration, we can make this year’s Halloween better for the entire planet, and take some power away from the truly scary monsters that we face in our world today.
* Please be aware that Etsy now allows mass-produced items. You may have to be a little careful in shopping there. Generally speaking, if it’s cheap, it’s probably mass produced.

Final Takeaway
My First Picks…
These first five are favorites because they are quick ways to get started making extra money and they have long-term potential as well! All five of them do require an internet connection, but sine you’re reading this from the internet, I think you’re covered there ?
1. Share Your Opinion
and get money sent to your PayPal
Yup, you can actually generate side income by simply giving your opinion via online surveys. It’s not going to make you rich tomorrow, but it’s still a great way to generate extra income during your down time.
If you think surveys may be the way to go, check out our full list of the top survey companies for both online and offline opinions here.
Survey Junkie
2. Door Dash
Door Dash is our favorite pick for food delivery because it’s been reported back to us that DoorDashers make slightly more than UberEats drivers. While we don’t have any factual statistics to prove this right or wrong, we still pick DoorDash over UberEats as our top side hustle for food delivery. If you have a car, bike, or scooter, get started with Door Dash today and start making money for your next vacation, your upcoming wedding, or whatever expense you’re saving for!
Maybe you just don’t feel like driving people around in your car or maybe you don’t even have a car. Depending on the city you live in, Uber Eats allows you to deliver food to people via your car, bike, or scooter. Turn on the app in the morning before work, when you get home, or whenever you have some extra time to make money on your terms.
Door Dash
3. VIPKID
VIPKID will pay you up to $22/hour to teach English from the comfort of your home to children in China. Currently VIPKID has over 70,000 teachers teaching English as a second language to over 600,000 children in China.
They do require you to have a Bachelor’s degree from either the USA or Canada and they ask for “some teaching experience”. However, from the teachers we have spoke with from VIPKID, they said “teaching” doesn’t have to mean teaching in a traditional educational setting.
The lessons are 30 minutes long and you will be paid up to $11 for each 30-minute lesson. One thing to note is since you are teaching across the globe in a live setting, you will be teaching at odd hours (late at night or first thing in the morning). However, the teachers we spoke to said it was fun, rewarding, and it paid well for being able to stay at home and teach from their laptops.
VIPKID
4. Airbnb
Did you know you can rent your room or house out at Airbnb? They have been around since 2008 and millions of people have been renting out their rooms or entire homes to travelers from all over the world. If you do this right, you may be able to cover your entire mortgage! If you’re going to be gone for a month or two, you may as well allow your space to make money while you’re gone.
Airbnb
5. Share Your Blog with the World
I started this blog in 2015 from my laptop at my kitchen table and today it generates over $10,000 per month 🙂 However, in the beginning it was just a side hustle project that turned into full-time income much quicker than I would have ever dreamed.
If you love writing, then starting a blog is exactly the right side hustle for you. There are many ways to generate income from blogging, with one of the most popular being through affiliate income.
How does it work?
You know how you can share a referral link from companies you love and they will send you $5 for referring them a customer? Affiliate partners work the exact same way.
Is blogging complicated?
Absolutely not! But just in case, I did create a step-by-step guide to help you get started in about 15 minutes.
Start a Blog
6. Become a Virtual Assistant
If you enjoy working from your laptop, then becoming a virtual assistant may be exactly what you need. We use a few virtual assistants for Money Peach and one of them earns over $10,000 per month as a VA. Other places where you can become a virtual assistant for an agency where they find work for your is Upwork. They take a 10% fee, but 90% is still a great side hustle.
You can also listen to Episode 80 on the Money Peach Podcast (below) where my own Virtual Assistant shares how she got started as a VA and within a few years was able to quit her full-time job and start earning over $10k per month doing what she loved.
Virtual Assistant Course (Use Promo Code Peach 10 for $50 Off)
Online Hustles
I love online hustles because they give you the freedom to do these anywhere. If you’re constantly traveling for work or out of town a lot you’re going to absolutely love these online side hustles.
7. Start a Social Media Marketing Business
Our very own social media manager was actually someone who was enrolled inside Awesome Money Course. We noticed how great she was inside our private students-only Facebook group and we offered her a job with us. Now she manages all of our social media for Money Peach and she has also been offered social media jobs from other bloggers!
A great place to get started is visiting the Facebook Side Hustle Course by Bobby of Millennial Money Man. You can read how many of the students from the course are landing social media jobs for $1,000 – $2,000 month! Not a bad little side hustle, right?
Facebook Side Hustle
8. Ebates (Now Rakuten)
Ebates is a company that has partnered with over 2,000 online companies to form an affiliate relationship with each of them. An affiliate relationship simply means Ebates and each online company have created a partnership where Ebates will refer you or I to buy something from them, and that company then sends Ebates a thank-you referral.
The good news: Ebates then splits the thank-you referral with you, and you earn Cash Back.
The Better News: You can Make Money by referring friends, family, or anyone else to join Ebates!
Ebates extends their referral program to any Ebates member who would like to share how to earn Cash Back while shopping online. Once you create an account with Ebates, you can invite your friends and family to join in on the Cash Back savings, and YOU will also receive a thank-you referral, aka make money.
BONUS $10 with Ebates Right Now
9. Honey Browser Extension
Honey is a free tool that will search for online coupons and apply them to your online shopping cart to make sure you are saving the most money. Instead of searching for coupons one at-a-time and applying them individually, Honey does all of this for you in the matter of seconds. Not only will you save money, but you will also MAKE MONEY with their refer-a-friend program. For anyone you refer to the app, Honey will send you $5 as soon as they purchase something via the app up to $1,000.
Honey Browser Extension
10. Inbox Dollars
Inbox Dollars is a rewards club that pays you in cash for completing a variety of online activities. This can include searching the internet, filling out surveys, printing off coupons, and shopping online. If you are already doing these things, you may as well get paid for it, right?
Inbox Dollars
11. Fiverr
Fiverr is a platform where you can sell your products and services starting at $5 per gig. After you have a few $5 gigs under your belt, you can start increasing how much you charge. Here at Money Peach, we hire people from Fiverr all the time. Just recently, we found someone for a quick logo design and another to transcribe some videos we created.
Also, the Fiverr platform does take 20% from each gig. Therefore, if you do a $5 gig, you will take home $4 per gig. However, if you can complete 3-4 gigs in an hour, your hourly rate could start at $16 – $20 per hour!
Fiverr
12. Make Money with PayPal
Already have a PayPal account?
We have put together a list of the side hustles that will pay you in PayPal gift cards which can then be deposited into your PayPal account – just like cash!
Where to make money with PayPal
13. Amazon
Selling on Amazon is almost identical as selling on eBay in terms of fees and ease of use. However, sometimes items that don’t sell as well on eBay do better on Amazon and vice versa. Either way, it is a side hustle worth looking at if you can buy for cheap and resell for a higher price.
14. Amazon Affiliate Links
I know of a guy who started out as a handyman. He then took that idea as a handyman and started his own blog to teach people how to fix things themselves through blogging and video tutorial. At the end of every post or video, he would tell you what tool he used to get the job done and would provide a link directly to Amazon for you to purchase that product.
However, he also signed up for a free Amazon Affiliate Account. Every time someone clicks on his link and buys ANYTHING on Amazon, he gets a commission! Think about this: Amazon pays him for the tool he recommended and also for anything else they Add To Cart. This is why I love blogging and why I have a free tutorial to help you get started.
15. eBook Publishing
Make money by writing your own book and self publishing it on Amazon for free. There are different options available for how your can price your book and earn income from the sale of your book in the Amazon store. Questions about self publishing your own book? Check this out.
16. Etsy
Instead of having to open up your brick and mortar store, sell your creations on Etsy. Whether you make clothing, crafts, baby toys, or jewelry, you can open up your own store at Etsy. I have a friend selling her awesome clothing line on Etsy and it brings in a very nice income for the family. This is another great side hustle, but don’t expect instant results. You may need to be patient for this one.
17. Craigslist
We all know you can buy and sell stuff on Craigslist, but have you ever thought about offering a service you can provide. If providing a service isn’t your thing, you can scan Craigslist for great deals and then later resell items for a profit. This takes persistence and patience, but I have a friend who went from a $4k truck to a $24k in truck in 18 months by flipping cars from Craigslist.
There are also many other sites competing with Craigslist and you may have better exposure by posting on these sites like Craigslist.
18. User Testing
Don’t want to do an online survey, but still like to surf the web and earn some cash? Companies will pay you to try out their apps or visit their websites and give them feedback. Usertesting and UserFeel uses your feedback on apps and websites that aren’t as user-friendly and then pays your for it.
19. Become a Freelance Writer
If you are a good writer, consider searching online sites such as freelancer.com for writing jobs. Individuals or companies might need freelance writers for a number of reasons.
Individuals or companies might need a writer for their blog or website, or a company might need a writer for its instruction manuals, for instance.
Pro Tip: The best way to learn how to get freelance writing jobs is from someone who has been doing it for years. Holly Johnson generates over $100k per year freelance writing and she has a program to show you how to do it.
**Money Peach Readers: Use Coupon Code PEACH10 to Receive 10% Off at Checkout**
Become Freelance Writer
An even better option is to learn from those who are already making 6-figures as freelance writers. Check out Episode 13 on the Money Peach Podcast where Holly and Greg Johnson share how they got started as freelance writers and soon turned their side hustle into a 6-figure income.
20. Zazzle
Make money on Zazzle as a designer by selling your artwork on different products or you can actually make and manufacture the products for sale. I have a friend who takes old dry wood and paints slogans on them. She needs to sell them on Zazzle; she could create a very quick and profitable side hustle.
21. eBay
You can have your own store up in only a few minutes at eBay. To start, you must have a seller account, must be verified through PayPal. You are even able to give a detailed description of your store with a catchy design to attract customers. I have a friend who will buy all of the unused bras at a last chance type of store and resell them for a profit at her eBay store. Last I heard, she was doing $1,000/month in her first couple of months.
22. Do Transcription Work or Data Entry Work
Companies hire transcriptionists for a number of reasons. A doctor’s office might need a medical transcriptionist to record information about a patient’s appointment, or law enforcement agencies might need transcription services for court cases or suspect interviews.
Data entry work, which is a bit easier than transcription work, is also available from companies who hire people to work from home. Simply google “transcription work” or “data entry jobs” for a list of companies currently hiring work-from-home reps.
23. Sell Your Photos Online
Do you take amazing photos? You can actually sell your photos online at places like iStockPhoto, Shutterstock, Fotolia, and Bigstockphoto. Photos can be sold over and over again, allowing you to earn a residual income!
24. Start a Web Design Business
If you’re knowledgeable about web design, you could make money creating or improving on websites for individuals or businesses.
Advertise on Craigslist or approach businesses directly if they have a website that needs improvement.
There really is no shortage of ways to make extra money if you’re willing to get creative and do some research. Which financial goals will you use the extra cash you earn to accomplish?

Driving Hustles
If you have a car, you may as well use it to help you side hustle, right? Here’s our favorite driving side hustles.
25. Uber/Lyft Driver-Partner
If you are unfamiliar with Uber or Lyft, then make sure you still have a pulse and you are breathing air.
To get started, some minimum requirements you need are a car, a smartphone, and the Uber or Lyft app. You become available to drive as soon as you complete the activation process and then you are ready to start earning money. Fares are paid out weekly or up to 5X a day when you register for Instant Pay with your debit card!
Today, there are more riders on the road than ever! This is one of my absolute favorite ways to start generating money quickly.
Drive with Uber
Drive with Lyft
26. Uber Eats
Uber Eats
27. Be a Paid Designated Driver
Pretty self-explanatory.
28. Drive People to the Airport
Some airports don’t allow Uber or Lyft to drop people off or pick them up, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still offer up airport rides on your own. Post an ad to all of your friends on social media that you are now their preferred method of getting to the airport. I used to do this when I first got my license and it paid very well 🙂
OR JUST DRIVE WITH UBER OR LYFT (See Number 24 Above)
Extremely Passive Hustles
If you like passive income, then you may want to review the top 40 passive income ideas . But to get you started, here are our favorite side hustles that are also extremely passive.
29. Rent Out Your Garage or Driveway
You’ve likely heard of AirBnB, where you can rent out rooms in your house – or your whole house – to travelers wanting to avoid the impersonal feel and high cost of hotel rooms.
Maybe you can’t or don’t want to rent out rooms in your house, but you might have space in your garage to rent out. Sites such as Air Garage help people rent out their garage spaces and driveway spaces.
People might want to rent out your garage or driveway space because they work close to where you live and want cheaper and safer parking options.
Or they might want to rent out your parking space because there’s an event near you, such as a state fair or sporting event.
Depending on where you live you could easily earn $50 or more a month for parking spots in your garage or driveway.
Check out this Money Peach podcast with AirGarage CEO Jonathan Barkl for more info.
30. Become a Voiceover Artist
You know those people who talk on radio and TV commercials but you never see their faces? They’re called voiceover artists, and they get paid good money to do what they do.
Sites like Backstage list available voiceover jobs, and Carrie Olsen, professional voiceover artist, has a great web site that can help you learn how to become a voiceover artist.
Check out this Money Peach Podcast with Voice Over Star Carrie Olsen for more info.
31. Rent out your Car
Did you know your car sits idle 93% of the time? If you’re not going to need your car for the next couple of days/weeks/months, you may as well let it earn you some cash. You can list your car through RelayRides and have your personal car rented out tomorrow.
32. Rent out a Room full-time
Own a home and need extra cash each month? Rent out a room in your house to help cover the mortgage and free up some of your cash. I have a single friend who has a $1,200 mortgage and he consistently earns $2,000+ every month by renting out room(s) in his house via Airbnb. Fun fact – he applies the extra cash towards his mortgage each month!
Airbnb
Some Skill Required Hustles
So, not all side hustles are for everyone. In fact, these ones below do require some skill to make money. But, the more skill you have, the more money you will make!
33. Become an Online Coach
If you have an idea and can help people, pay attention. Whether it is motivating someone, helping them pass a class, or teaching them how to build a website, this can all be done online. Setup you’re pricing, terms, and accept payment through something as simple as PayPal and you are on your way. I recommend using Skype or Google Hangouts since it is 100% free. Help someone and get paid – genius.
34. Create an Online Course
Is there something you are good at and can teach to others? I have a friend who will teach you how to clean pools over his site, Swim University. Check out Udemy for ideas on your next online course and see how much people are paying for someone like you to teach them.
One of the greatest accomplishments I have had in my business is helping others reach financial freedom. We have had over 500 students graduate Awesome Money Course and completely turn their money situation around!
If you are tired of living the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle and would like to save more, pay off debt, and reach true financial freedom, then Awesome Money Course was made for you.
I am so confident you will absolutely love the program that I have 100% money-back guarantee…meaning you could download the entire course, keep it, and ask for a refund.
I hope no one would do that, but I will also take that risk if it results in you learning how to manage money, pay off debt, save, and build a wealthy future.
However, if you would like to try a little bit of our program out, we do have a 100% free mini-course called the Cash Flow Formula which will show you the step-by-step to building a monthly cash-flow plan with many of our favorite money-hacks to save more and pay off debt quicker!
Start Cash Flow Formula (FREE)
35. Spray Tanning
A good friend of mine (Jessica) has become the queen of spray tanning in our area. In fact, she is making $900 per week cash spray tanning both the ladies and the men and it’s all through word-of-mouth! You can check her out at JC Glows on Facebook to see how she set up her side hustle.
I asked her how she got started and she said this:
She started with this exact tanning kit
She uses this tanning tent
She taught herself how watching YouTube
36. Become a Cover Letter/Resume’ Writer
Professionals of all kinds pay ridiculous amounts of money for professionally written resumes. I know one guy who paid a professional resume’ writer $5,000.
If you have a knack for writing compelling and attention-grabbing resumes, consider offering your services on sites such as freelancer.com or Craigslist.
37. Develop an App
If you’ve got a great idea for an app that will make people’s lives easier or more exciting, this could be a great side hustle for you.
Check out this post on learnappmaking.com for more information on how to develop and market an app for some extra income.
38. Catering
If you love cooking, serving food, and entertaining at your own home, then get paid to do it for someone else. This can be fun and can often go from side hustle to full-time if you’re really good at it!
39. Computer Repair
If you love “playing” computers, then help someone repair theirs and get paid for it. Note: You must know a little bit about computers 🙂
40. Computer Training
How many Baby Boomers (or anyone for that matter) do you know who are still having trouble checking their email. If you were able to navigate to this web page, then you probably have the skills to teach extremely basic computer skills to an extreme beginner.
41. Guitar Gigs
A friend of mine finds guitar gigs online, on Facebook, and in the paper all the time. He shows up, plays for a few hours, and leaves with cash in hand. Note: you must be good at playing the guitar.
42. Guitar Lessons
If you are handy on the 6 string and can show someone else, teach them. Better yet, teach the world online how to play guitar.
43. Handyman Work
Some people are handy and others are not. Let your neighbors know that you are available to hang a ceiling fan, patch a hole in the drywall, fix an irrigation leak, or paint a fence. All can be done for them ASAP for a small fee 🙂
I love TaskRabbit. Whether I need a doggy door installed, someone to clean my house this weekend, or even mount a TV, I can go on TaskRabbit to find someone in an instant. YOU could be that person I find next on TaskRabbit for hire!
44. Lifeguard
Become a lifeguard and earn $16/hr – $20/hr part-time. Not only do you make some extra cash, but you are guaranteed to get a little tan as well.
45. Mobile Oil Change
If you don’t mind getting underneath the car and pulling the drain plug for people, then this could be your next side hustle. People are busy, and may want to pay you to change their oil while they are at work. Note: Wal-Mart always has the cheapest oil.
46. Network Marketing
Network marketing (sometimes referred to as multi-level-marketing) can sometimes have a bad connotation if you have ever been scammed in the past. However, there are very reputable companies out there that you can start working for today with very little buy-in or overhead. A member of our family started off her network marketing business as a side hustle and has turned it into a part-time gig with full-time income. Warning: if you are told it doesn’t require any actual work – run away!
47. Personal Training
Someone out there wants to get into better shape, and they are willing to pay you to help them. If you love fitness, this would be a perfect side hustle for you.
48. Tutoring
Take your education and use it to make money on the side. Tutor students and get paid handsomely.
Live in the U.S. or U.K. and hold a bachelor’s degree? You can earn up to $20/hr plus bonuses to teach kids English online from the comfort of home. Learn more here.
49. Teach Music Lessons
From singing to playing piano or any other number of instruments, parents everywhere are seeking music lessons for their kids.
If you have a gift for a musical skills, consider teaching that skill to local kids. You might be able to find jobs by looking on Craigslist or by seeking out local public school or homeschooling groups to connect with parents who have school-aged children.
50. Start a Baking Business
Do you have a gift for baking goodies such as cake, muffins or cookies? Why not use that gift to make yourself some extra cash?
Events such as birthday parties, weddings, office parties and meetings, retirement parties and more often have baked treats as a part of their celebration.
Advertise your culinary skills on Craigslist and with local event booking venues for your bakery services.
Be sure to check with state officials on what the rules are for serving and selling food in your area first.
51. Become a Sports Umpire
Are you knowledgeable about the rules and regulations of certain sports? Do you like working with kids? Recreation associations often pay good money for organized sports umpires for football, baseball, and more.
In our area, umpires earn about $30 an hour. Check with local sporting organizations for job opening details.
Physical Labor Hustles
If you don’t putting in a little sweat equity, you can do very well side hustling with some physical labor attached to it. I did #50 when I was getting out of debt and generated over $1,000 each month.
52. Clean Pools
This requires very little overhead and is simple to do. Go to Google Earth and look up which homes in your neighborhood have a pool, and offer to start today. I actually did this to get out of debt and it worked out great!
53. House Cleaning
People are busy and don’t have time to clean their homes. This is where you come in 🙂 Search your area in Craigslist to get an idea for pricing your own services.
54. Mowing Lawns
If you don’t have the funds to purchase all the equipment, then offer to your mow lawns with their equipment. I actually did this in grade school because I wasn’t old enough to drive. I just showed up, grabbed their lawnmower, and was paid.
55. Painting Gates
Gates fade and someone needs to repaint them. A kid in the neighborhood took pics of faded gates and pretty gates and posted them on the mailbox with his number and price. (I think one of the faded gate pics he took was my gate also).
56. Painting Services
Remember that movie American Pie 2 where they spend the summer in a lake house and do some side painting. No one likes painting their houses or walls, so why not help them out for a little side cash? Start out small by offering to paint a bedroom or two, and work your way up from there. Pricing rule: $1 per square ft of painting.
57. Shoveling Snow
No one likes shoveling snow and this is why you will be paid for it.
58. Wash Cars
If you can wash a car, then you can make money. People are busy and don’t have time to even take their cars to the wash anymore…this is where you come in.
59. Wash Windows
I recently paid a guy to wash my windows because he advertised $4/window. He spent about 1 hour washing a total of 20 windows and walked away with $80 cash. His entire setup was a bucket and a squeegee. Maybe I should wash my own windows and my neighbor’s windows for an affordable price of only $4 a window.
Unique Hustles
If you are unique, then you deserve some unique side hustles. Some of these are extremely cool, but a few of them…well I am still waiting for you to try.
60. Rent out Your Baby Gear
Think of it as the Airbnb of Baby Gear.
Have you ever traveled with kids and realized what a pain-in-the-butt it is to take the stroller, hi-chair, pack-n-play, and everything else that babies need? Think about dragging all of that through the airport, onto the train, or inside the Uber?
BabyQuip offers a simple solution. They provide families with a wide assortment of clean, quality baby equipment—everything they need to keep their little ones sleeping well at night and happily engaged during the day.
And guess who makes 80% commission (plus tips) renting their baby gear out?
You, the side hustler!
BabyQuip
61. Sell Your Hair Online
Thinking about a new hair style? You may want to. People are paying up to $1,000 for quality hair if you can remember to wash it more than once a month J Check out what your hair is worth at Hairsellon.
Hairsellon
62. Paint Street Numbers
A father and son rang my doorbell and pointed out to me my street numbers were faded. “For only $10, they would repaint my street numbers so my house would look better”. I paid it and it took them 37 seconds. They did 6 houses on my street alone. This is a great little side hustle.
63. Sell Drinks
where it’s hot (and where it’s cold)
I live in Phoenix where it will hover at 116°F during the summer. During the hottest weeks, there is a guy who sells snow cones and water for a premium.
I asked him how business was recently – he smiled and said “Business is gooooooood”. Buy a case of water at Costco for $0.12 a bottle and resell them for $2 wherever it is HOT. Who wouldn’t pay $2 for ice-cold water during the dog days of summer?
64. TaskRabbit
Become a task rabbit and get paid. People in your neighborhood are looking to pay you to put together furniture from Ikea, do their grocery shopping, install a ceiling fan, be a bartender at their party, or mount their TV to the wall.
65. Start a Home Staging Business
Somebody is always selling a home, and homes sell faster and for more money when they are “staged”.
As a home stager you can tailor your business to meet a variety of client needs. Creating relationships with local realtors is one way to help you find home staging clients.
66. Be a Work-From-Home Customer Service Rep
There are many legit companies that offer to hire customer service representatives who can from home. One of the more popular work-from-home companies is U-Haul, the well-known moving company.
67. Start an Estate Sale Service Business
An estate sale business buys a large majority of a client’s belongings, including furniture, vehicles and more, at a group rate and sells the stuff individually for profit.
This is a business that will take some work as you get to know the ropes but can be very lucrative in the long run.
68. Start a Vending Machine Business
Many companies want vending machines installed at their businesses for the convenience of employees and clients alike.
Although this type of side hustle would involve some costly initial cash, you may be able to make it up quickly if you install the machines in thriving businesses that service large numbers of people.
69. Pick Up Trash in Parking Lots
Brian Winch came on the podcast to share how he picks up trash around parking lots and now earns a 6-figure income by doing so. Although it may not be glorious work, it does pay well and it’s extremely affordable to get started. Before you get started, check out the Clean Lots tutorial here.
You’ve Got to be Kidding Me Hustles
Before you read on, just remember the name of these side hustles are you’ve-go-to-be-kidding-me side hustles. Some of them will actually shock you ?.
70. Be a Sperm Donor
This is straight out of the movie Road Trip when they need gas money. However, you can make substantial money donating sperm, with some places offering up $1,000/month to healthy men. Be aware, if you’re not a true thoroughbred, you won’t be paid as much!
71. Be a Plasma Donor
Since there is no way to synthetically make plasma, you will be compensated for your donation. Rates vary from state to state, but you can make on average $200/month for only a few hours of your time….and blood.
We have a full list of where you can earn $400 per month donating plasma here.
72. Become a Cuddler
Ah yes, cuddling. This is an actual real job and I recently saw it featured in a news segment. People are paying for up to 3 hours of platonic hugging (and they pay a lot). Job requirements: enjoy hugging strangers.
73. Pick up Dog Poop
Who likes picking up dog poop? Nobody. This is why you can get paid for it.
youtube
74. Rent-a-Friend
You can sign up for free at Rentafriend to be someone else friend both part-time and full-time with pay between $20/hr – $50/hr. Yes, this sounds very strange from the outside looking in, but a lot of times you are helping someone get acquainted in a new town, meet a new group of friends, or simply have a cup of coffee with. Most importantly – friendship is always platonic (no touching).
Easy Peasy Hustles
These are some of the classic side hustles that we call the easy peasy ones. If you are looking for simple, but yet effective, these are the side hustles for you.
75. Babysitting
If you like kids and don’t go out on the weekends, become a babysitter. Advertise to all of your friends (and Facebook Friends) that you will watch their kids so they can have a date night. New to the area? Then get connected with Care.com to become a certified/recommended babysitter in your area.
76. Dog Walking
Create this ad: “Love your dog but simply don’t have time to walk them? Let me help you!” There will always be someone willing to pay to keep their doggy happy, and this person is you.
77. Gig Walking
Download the free App and then find “gigs” in your neighborhood that companies are willing to pay you for. Can you check out the price of milk in a certain store for $6 or snap a pic of a storefront for $5 on the way to work? Note: You will start off with the crappier jobs in the beginning, but prove yourself and you will start getting offered the higher-paying jobs soon enough.
78. Golf Course
If you love being around the golf course (or don’t mind a few drunk old men) you can make pretty good money part-time by collecting balls off the range, cleaning golf carts, or serving cold beers at the tee box.
79. House-sitting
Who doesn’t want to get paid for simply living in someone else’s house for a few day days? This is simple and people will pay you for it. You can think of it as a mini staycation too!
80. Mystery Shopper
Get paid $10 – $30 on average to be a mystery shopper. However, beware because there are a lot of scams out there. I recommend checking out Marketforce, Best Mark, and Intelli-101 before you head anywhere else.
81. Pet Grooming
There are people out there that simply will not shave their dog and will pay you for it. Create a Facebook Page called “iShaveDogs” and let all your friends know! Someone will hire you.
82. Pet Sitting
If you truly love animals, then why not get paid to hang out with someone else’s dog or cat for the weekend? You can become a pet sitter at Care.com or specialize in only watching over someone’s pooch at Rover.
83. RedBox
You love renting movies for only $1.75, but did you know you can get paid to stock DVDs into the kiosks and make sure they are working properly? Check out Redbox Jobs and also see these 12 free Redbox Codes for free moves and games.
84. Sell ScrapMetal
Post in your social media or offer in the newspaper that you will come and take any scrap metal away for people. Not only could you make a few extra bucks for hauling away metal, but then you could sell it at a scrap yard. Double whammy!
85. Tax Prep
When I was in college, TurboTax hit the Internet. I created an ad on a bulletin board and offered Tax Prep for those who make less than $100k/year so I could use the free 1040EZ software. My overhead was $0 and I charged $20 to punch the numbers from the W-2 into TurboTax. Another great option is to try H&R Block and see which one you like the best. We also have a full review of H&R Block here.

86. Sign Spinner
Do you ever see those people standing on the corner, wearing headphones, oblivious to the entire world around them, and flipping signs in the air? They are making money and you can too. What about sign holder? Well, maybe you’re not the spinning type…
87. Sign Holder
Maybe you’re just not the spinning type 🙂

Final Takeaway
As you can see, we live in a time when anyone who wants to make a little (or a lot) of money can. Your local area is no longer the only area to make money. The entire world is at your fingertips through the use of many of the options mentioned in this post.
What is one skill you have that others could learn from? Think about what’s the one thing you actually love doing that people would want to pay you for? How can you take your side hustle idea and turn it into monthly income?
3…2…1… it’s go time my friends!

26. Uber Eats
Uber Eats

I asked her how she got started and she said this:
She started with this exact tanning kit
She uses this tanning tent
She taught herself how watching YouTube
36. Become a Cover Letter/Resume’ Writer

56. Painting Services
Remember that movie American Pie 2 where they spend the summer in a lake house and do some side painting. No one likes painting their houses or walls, so why not help them out for a little side cash?
Who wouldn’t pay $2 for ice-cold water during the dog days of summer?

youtube
75. Babysitting

Top 10 hottest 'Supernatural' collectibles holiday gift ideas
There are tons of Supernatural stuff out there. We’re not talking about ghosts and monsters but items inspired by the hit TV series. Why? Because every Supernatural fan would want a piece of Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles), Crowley (Mark Sheppard), Castiel (Misha Collins) and their other favorite characters apart from wearing flannel shirts and trench coats. But with all the stuff out there, it’s kind of tough to sort out as many fans want in on the action and sell at Amazon, Etsy, eBay and other sites with tons of trinkets, novelties, and apparel from Hot Topic. Here are some items we’d like to put up in our hunter’s cabin or makeshift motel room. Stuff that will put a smile on our face after a hard day's normal work. Supernatural Licensed Hunters Journal – It’s a dangerous job but someone has to log the unknown. Someone has to log how spirits work, how monsters hunt and how they can be stopped or killed. Since most of the spots they haunt don’t have wi-fi, hunters can’t blog about them but they can write, draw, and cut and paste news clips on their journals. That’s what John would do, so if you want to LARP as John or the brothers is the first two seasons, you’ll need the Supernatural Licensed Hunter’s Journal from Con*Quest Journals. Cool thing is, you don’t have to go saving people and hunting things to use it. Fill it up with your own memories. What would be cooler is if you’re into touring haunted houses and abandoned buildings. Complete it with the Supernatural Licensed Hunter’s Journal Page Pack featuring the pics of the show’s other characters or even the Journal Scrapbook Kit here. Supernatural Novels – While we’re interested in reading, you can catch up on some material that hasn’t made it on-screen and will look good on your mantle, cabinet or book case along with your Supernatural DVDs. We’re talking about Supernatural novels. Not the ones seen on the show written by Carver Edlund/Chuck Shurley/God but by various authors. Sure, you can download them but trust us, it’s still better flipping through physical pages. No worries of your tablet dying during a long flight. Aside from novels, there are also some books about the show and about the fandom written by dedicated fans. One we can highly recommend is the best-selling Family Don't End With Blood by our very own Lynn Zubernis, and this is the perfect stocking stuffer gift for any fan and would-be Supernatural fan. Funko Pop Supernatural Set – there’s a shameful lack of Supernatural dolls or action figures out there. A sixth-scale Sam and Dean, Bobby, Castiel and Crowley are where the fun’s at, but no. Strangely, there’s a serious lack of those, so we’re forced to make due with Funko Pop’s very cute but very close vinyl display figures, of which there are plenty. Since Funko Pop plays heavily on hit TV shows, they’ll of course have a Supernatural line. Most of the show’s characters are available, some with variants. Available figures include Sam, Dean, Bobby, Castiel, Crowley, and Charlie. There are variants such as ordinary Castiel, Castiel with wings, Leviathan Castiel and Castiel as Emmanuel. Q-pals Plush Supernatural Set – Q-Pals Supernatural plushies from Quantum Mechanix are just so cute, you’d want them in every room of the house. These little guys manage to capture the cast’s likenesses even in plush form much like Funkos. Cute and cuddly Sam, Dean, Castiel and even Bobby should keep you safe in bed from the Boogeymen or Strigas. Don’t worry; we won’t judge. [gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="49918,49919"] Always Keep Fighting and Other Shirts– by now, these shirts from Represent.com would be collector’s items as the Supernatural cast, especially Jared Padalecki only release them in limited quantities for their respective charities. Though they occasionally make new releases. They have pretty cool messages that fight depression like Always Keep Fighting, I Am Enough and Family Has Your Back. Like sports jersey’s, wear them proud or go on the road so far and frame and display them. Not only do you have a cool shirt, you also get to help out. [gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="49920,49921"] KAZ 2YZ Charms Bracelet – there are a lot of Supernatural trinkets out there, but this one from Supernatural Sickness practically has it all. It has the Baby charm at the center so you can give it to your fellow Supernatural partner as a gift or keep it for yourself. The other charms attached are the colt, bullets, a shovel, a dagger, a pentagram, the Impala and separate letters spelling out Baby’s plate number. It’s pretty inexpensive. The chain is made of silver plated alloy while the charms are made of zinc alloy. Or you can get the equally cool Supernatural Dean Sam Bracelet which also has plenty of charms including Dean’s amulet, a moose, a hellhound, angel wings, vampire fangs and Castiel’s necktie. Supernatural 1967 Chevy Impala Sport, Black – Thanks to the show, Dean’s Baby, the 1967 Chevy Impala Sport is now included among pop culture’s iconic cars such as KITT from Knight Rider and Adam West’s Batmobile. The Impala from Greenlight, product number 19021 is a 1/18 Scale Diecast Model Toy Car with two figures, Sam and Dean of course, included which can ride inside. Play with them in private as they roll from town to town yelling Bitch and Jerk at each other. QMX Sam and Dean Mini-Masters – We want more Supernatural action figures and we mean more! It’s unfortunate that there aren’t many out there. It’s a crime. We want Crowley, Castiel, Rowena, Bobby, and Charlie. And it’s not like there’s a shortage of SPN monsters out there like Hookman and Wendigo. Guess we’ll have to make due with QMX statues of Sam and Dean. There’s plenty of detail on these statues. Our only complaint though are the likenesses. Not sure if Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have officially licensed their good looks for action figures since the figures from the Impala don’t fare much better but we fans take what we get. [gallery columns="2" size="medium" ids="49924,49926"] Supernatural Board Games – unfortunately, Supernatural is very much absent in the world of video games. Depends on you if that’s good or bad but there are Supernatural board games available such as versions of CLUE and Monopoly. Enjoy playing these games with the family during boring rainy days since family is what the show is about. Expect sibling fights on who gets the Impala. Chevrolet Impala Sport – Now the ultimate Supernatural collectible would be Baby itself. The 1967 Chevrolet Impala Sports sedan. Imagine driving up to any Supernatural convention or anywhere for that matter in a sleek black Impala and listening to classic rock. Just don’t impersonate any law enforcement agency. It’s a federal crime. There’s still plenty of cars to go around if you’re willing and loaded. [gallery size="medium" ids="49928,49929,49930"] As honorable mentions, loving couples shouldn’t be without items with the Supernatural terms of endearment. We’re talking about Jerk and Bitch shirts, jewelry and coffee mugs. The show isn’t only about ghosts and monsters; it’s about love, family, and friendship. No wonder the show has lasted for such a long time. Non-Supernatural fans would wonder why you’re so offensive but actually love each other. And even if you’re ticked off at each other, you wouldn’t know the difference. Idjits!

Aesthetic asks: Flower crown, fairy lights, 1975, pantone, moodboard, converse, lace, cactus, oil paint, combat boots, pastels, tattoos, piercing, messy bun, grunge, space, white bed sheets, beaches, eyes, 11:11, painting, clouds, and coffee.
flower crown: when did you last sing to yourself?
Right now. I’m singing This is Life Mine from RWBY. I love it so much, it show Weiss’ character development and it’s amazing.
1975: what is the first happy memory that comes to mind, recent or otherwise?
The memory of when my roommate broke my new mermaid wine glass. She had placed her hand on our kitchen counter and I guess it shifted a pan in the drying rack which then knocked the glass into the sink. She was apologizing so much and I was just laughing. Especially when she said “We can glue it!” I still laugh whenever I think back to it. I miss her.
pantone: describe a person close to your life in detail.
Oh boy...this is something to think about if you want me to give a good description.
@ssherlocke is my twin sister. She’s the friendliest person you will ever meet. She can make friends or start a conversation with just about anyone. An artist at several conventions we’ve been to remembers her, that’s how friendly she is. She has a big heart. She also has strong ambitions to become an actress or work in film in some way (she really wants to meet RDJ). She also started crafting weapons for cosplay and is starting to sell them on her Etsy. She’s made several keyblades from Kingdom Hearts like Ven’s, a Tron keyblade, and the Circle of Life Keyblade. She’s working on Qrow’s weapon from RWBY. She had it working too, where it shifts from a sword to a scythe! She’s freaking talented. She gets very excited over her ships and movies and tv shows that she loves. She’s a fangirl and an amazing person. She’s the best friend you could have and the best sister.
moodboard: do you feel you had a happy childhood?
Absolutely!
converse: would you ever have a deep conversation with a stranger and open up to them?
Definitely not some stranger on the street, but I’ve ranted to new friends on here before. Even if we’ve just met. @rebelcolumbia is an example, she was really sweet and let me rant when I was having a stressful moment. She’s so sweet (and I’m sorry for bugging you haha).
lace: when was your last 3am conversation with someone, and who were they to you?
My last 3 am conversation was with @puffandproud. Because of our distance from each other and time zones she’s awake and it’s well past midnight for me and vice versa. Em is one of my best friends I met on here and we are now co-writing a fanfic for The Hobbit. I love her haha.
cactus: what is your opinion on brown eyes?
I think they’re beautiful.
combat boots: are you a very forgiving person? do you like being this way?
I am. There was a friend I had in high school who I had a falling out with. I’m not sure what happened, but we stopped talking and she was one of my best friends so it was hard. Recently she messaged me on Facebook and apologized for how she acted and I had forgiven her a long time ago. I think it’s pointless to hold grudges on people and not forgive them for something. Unless it’s something unforgivable I usually have forgiven them in time. I think it’s important to give people second chances. And yes I do like being this way :)
pastel: would you describe yourself as more punk or pastel?
I’d say a bit of both. I love pastels, but I also love my combat boots and dark colors. I think it depends on my mood really. I wouldn’t say I go full on pastel or full on punk, but I’m a bit of a tomboy and a girly girl.
tattoos: how do you feel about tattoos and piercings?
I think they are cool to an extent. I like looking at tattoos, I think they are beautiful. But I’m also like meeeeh when it comes to sleeves or sleeves on legs. I think they are really cool though, but something about them is just meh. If they hold a certain meaning to someone I love that. I think that’s incredible and powerful. Piercings are cool too, but I don’t like a lot of them. ESPECIALLY gauges (is that how they’re spelled?). I think those are gross. My opinions on these two things don’t mean I think the people who have them are bad people, in no way am I saying that. I have met plenty of nice people with sleeve tattoos or gauges. It’s the look of it all that I’m indifferent on. If its your thing go for it, but I hate needles so you’ll never see me get a tattoo haha.
piercings: do you wear a lot of makeup? why/why not?
I do not. I actually don’t wear makeup that often. I just never feel the need to wear it all the time. But when I do I wear a good amount of makeup when I do wear it. I have no idea how to contour or highlight so you won’t see me with that. I love doing eye makeup though! I’m still learning how to blend eye shadow though.
messy bun: the world is listening, pick one sentence you would tell them.
My mom told me this back in high school when I was feel self conscious about myself. I once asked her “am I weird?” to which she replied “Everyone is different. If everyone was the same the world would be a boring place.” I’ve lived by that for years now.
Another sentence I would say is one I’ve come up with years ago. “I think everyone is beautiful. Its attitudes and personalities that make people ugly.”
grunge: who in the world would you most like to receive a letter from and what would you want it to say?
I would love a letter from J.K. Rowling, Sebastian Stan, or Lady Gaga. I don’t know what exactly I’d want it to say, but I’d want it to be something inspirational that I could look at any day and be inspired to do my best. I think these three people (and so many others that I can’t list off and who aren’t coming to mind unfortunately) are some of the most inspirational people who tell their fans to be themselves and keep trying no matter what.
space: do you have a desk/workspace and how is it organized/not organized?
I do not have a desk or work space. I share a room with my sister so we don’t have room for a desk. If I did have a desk (which I want one once I move out) I would have it neat and organized so I know where everything is and have a couple fun trinkets like my funko pops and jar of seaglass and whatever else I’d want to decorate it with.
white bed sheets: what is your night time routine?
Wash my face, take melatonin if I remember to or if its not too late at night to take it, brush my teeth, and either write a little bit or watch some YouTube videos. I will sometimes listen to ASMR videos because I find them soothing and they help me fall asleep.
beaches: if you had to dye your hair how would you dye/style it and why?
I’d want the ends of my hair blue or ombre my hair. But mostly if my hair wasn’t so curly I’d have it cut short and I’d style it to have loose beach waves. Like Daisy Johnson or Jemma Simmons in Agents of SHIELD. Something like that hair cut. Or even Chelsea Kane when her hair was chin length. I love her hair.
eyes: pick five people to go on an excursion with you. who would you pick and where would you go/what would you do?
I’d choose @ssherlocke @umfleur @booksthegreatestweapon @puffandproud and @herebesparrows. We would go somewhere that has beautiful nature or architecture. Somewhere I can take pictures. Maybe Hawaii, England, Ireland, Italy, or Australia. Something fun and where we can explore.
11:11: name three wishes and why you wish for them.
1. To meet the right guy because I keep having a fear that I won’t find someone who likes me for me and won’t judge me for the things I like. I want someone who doesn’t think I’m weird for writing fanfiction and doing whatever else I do on here. I want someone who I can have adventures with and watch shows and movies together that we can geek over. Someone to support me in what I do as hobbies and for work.
2. To be a popular fashion blogger. I want to be someone that people can go to to be inspired in fashion and life. Someone who lets people know it’s okay to be who you are and like what you like. I want to be someone who is well known in the fashion world and online world. I want to be able to share my style.
3. To explore the world. I want to be able to see things I don’t get to see on a daily basis. My dream is to go to the places I listed in the earlier question. I want to see the world.
painting: what is the best halloween costume you have ever put together? if none, make one up.
There’s a couple. I took an old color guard uniform and I was Alice for one year while a friend was the white rabbit. Another year I was Rapunzel. I wore a dark purple dress with gold embroidered flowers, wore a long hair piece from the color guard show that year, threw in some flower clips, and carried around a small frying pan. Right before my grandma died we went to her house for Halloween because I was on my fall break and she was getting weaker by the day. She wanted someone to hand out candy so my sister and I were Scarlet Witch and Rocket Raccoon. Granted no kids recognized us (unfortunately) but it was fun dressing up.
clouds: if you’re a boy, would you ever rock black nail polish? if you’re a girl, would you ever rock really really short hair?
I’m not sure I have the face shape for really really short hair and my hair is too curly to do it so it would just puff up like a Q-tip haha.
coffee: what’s your starbucks order, and who would you trust to order for you, if anyone?
My go to order is a chai tea or a chai tea frappuccino. I think I would trust my roommates to order it for me.

Hey all!
How was your weekend? Mine was great, even though the weather wasn’t fine at all. During whole weekend I was charging my batteries to the fullest. On Friday I spent time mostly with my Westie and doing some handmade stuff. Was about to edit the video but I didn’t have much time for it. Editing takes a lot of time, believe me! So I’ve decided to picture my dog during the walk 😀 Here you can see him:
Yes, he has this orangie suit that makes you wanna tell he is a firefighter dog or whatsoever haha! 😀 He even has a hood to cover his head and not get too cold! But it’s too small… so it always slips away from his head.
Saturday was a lot of fun since morning. I went shopping with my parents and did found 2 pairs of trousers that are too comfy! I will definitely make a use of them this winter as they are warm at inside side. They are made with a fabric that makes you wanna feel like you have the most comfortable trousers in the world. They are both black colour so nothing special, I didn’t even picture them so you have to believe me just on words 😉 I also had this blouse that I totally felt in love with but didn’t buy it… I took a picture of it to suffer more and make me feel miserable even more while watching it 😀 I like to torture myself a lot, you know… Next we went to the beautiful shop named “Under the Stars” which is mainly full of things for the interior design, handmaded things for your bedroom, dining room and living room. They have a beautiful things! As we bought some Christmas gifts there we went to the caffeteria and I ordered a mango lemonade which was sour and sweet at the same time… I was pulling a face in a funny way! 😀 But I pictured only lemonade! Here you can see the both pictures mentioned:
This blouse is a baby pink one with silver stones on it, it looked beautiful in the shop. The quality of the picture doesn’t show the effect it had in real. Sorry about that but it’s my phone fault 😉 The rest of the day was full of strong headache that attacked me and I couldn’t focus on anything. I tried to play League Of Legends but in the end got pissed off like never before so I’m taking 2 days break from this game… yesterday and today I won’t play it. Community in this game is aweful, I think many people here will agree with me. Anyway, that was my Saturday.
The picture you can see above, set as a main one for this post is from the Shopping Centre where I went with my boyfriend to watch a movie in the cinema. We went to see a movie “Letters to Santa” and it gave me a Christmas inspiration ideas for my handmades a lot! I was so happy to see this movie, really. It’s a polish movie that I’m not sure it will be aired abroad but if there is an english subtitled version I definitely recommend that to watch! A great movie for a Christmas period. So here is me after I got home and the main banner from the movie 🙂
I won’t tell you much about plot, but I can tell you that this movie will make you laugh, cry and emotional for 2 hours. Sunday wasn’t the longest day for me because I overslept it and woke up so late that going to cinema with my boyfriend was the only thing I’ve done… I know it’s scary, it scares me as well xD
Today I woke up willing to fight even more. So I’ve decided to take some payed surveys that I’m subscribing and they send me a lot lately, maybe some money will be earned this way as I can’t find a job for me… That is why I’m focusing myself into handmade so much. I hope one day I will be able to sell my items as many that will let me live only by doing it full time. Going back to topic, I’ve decided then to do a huge step forward and create my own shop on Etsy, and I succeeded. First item can be seen there:
MY ETSY SHOP
You can find there this purple beaty on the right (nope, rabbit is mine, I won’t sell it, sorry!). This Candlelightjar was made with passion and love so grab your unique one as I won’t make another one that looks the same. I will make only 1 item ever so it is a change to have something just you will have. I didn’t find even similar one anywhere. So CLICK HERE to have your own Candlejar with vanilla scent 🙂 Let me know in the comments what do you think about it, I’m curious.
To end this looong blog post I will publish the vie I have during mornings when I woke up, right after I open my eyes and looked at my feet (and window to check the weather):
He likes to sleep with me, accompanies me during my dream time. He’s lovely, isn’t he? And yes, he is wearing pants as he’s old enough to do so! Have a great day! I don’t know when the next blog post will appear but I will try to write to you all as soon as possible. Stay safe and take care!

I said in my last post the best way to practice you craft is by spoiling the ones you love. Here is an example of a card I will be selling, the inside will be blank for you to write your love notes. I have so much fun making these bad boys. Handmade the paper with #pilot #iroshizuku ink color #chikurin and used farber castle pens for the the lettering. Online downloads and paper prints will be available soon on Etsy! . . . . . . #calligraphy #moderncalligraphy #calligraphynerd #calligraphydesign #typography #typographyinspiration #typographylove #handmade #handlettering #canvas #lovenotes #procreate #procreatelettering #procreateapp #lettering #crafts #crafty #crafting #designinspiration #designideas #designinspo #pilot #flexnib
