So Cartman has… very specific taste in his women. Just a fair warning, this is gonna get pretty gross so if you don’t wanna hear some seriously sexist/racist bullshit this is your sign to turn away now.

Are they gone? Okay, let’s get into the tomfoolery of it all.

I’ve mentioned before that Cartman’s preference for Asian women is actually a nod (or perhaps a dig) at Trey, who did seem to have a little bit of a preference himself for some time (his first wife was Japanese-American, if you didn’t know that). Mind you, I don’t know this man, so this is just a silly observation based on this information as well as little comments he’s made in commentaries and such, so take it with a grain of salt.

I did also however think that being particularly interested in Asian women seemed appropriate for Cartman for a few other reasons:

Many western men hold the (incorrect) belief that women from Asian countries are more ‘docile’ and ‘easier to control’ (yuck)

His canon (albeit potentially short-lived) crush on Wendy makes him prime for being into girls with long, dark, straight hair.

Okay, we know all of this, but the real question is why Chaeyoung of all members? Realistically, the other members of TWICE could have been contenders, since they are all beautiful young women of Asian descent.

To be totally honest? She was picked almost exclusively because of her controversies.

For those that aren’t aware, Chaeyoung was seen wearing a shirt with a swastika on it while doing promotions in America last year. It was a huge controversy that she and her label apologized for, but many people have not forgiven her for (she’s still on thin ice for me, personally). Later she was dressed for a performance in what was pretty obviously a QAnon tee shirt, albeit cut up and altered quite a bit. Again, not a great look.

But you know who would think both of these things is pretty sweet? Eric T. Cartman.

I do think he would have also liked Chaeyoung because she has a very sweet appearance, but I definitely chose her to be his bias more for the laugh of it all than anything else.
