Misha was visiting the island and I got to meet him! It was purely on accident; his tickets had been double scanned on the mainland side and my co-worker came in to check the problem. It was so busy the name didn't click right away but luckily I realized in enough time to scoot out and ask for his autograph. He was SO NICE!!! He was very gracious the whole time and not only gave me the autograph but asked if I wanted a picture as well.

Hell yeah!!! Luckily co-worker had her phone on her:) So that's how I met Misha Collins and got a kick ass present for Sis who is a HUGE fan of his and this wonderfully goofy pic for myself😁

one thing that took me embarrassingly long to learn is "sometimes when people say things, they will not be true."

I used to tell people about this revelation and they'd be like yeah.....duh.....but like, why wouldn't my base assumption be that you're communicating to me in a straightforward manner. anyway, I get scammed a lot.

I was rewatching the scene where Ekko is trying to stop Jinx from killing herself to get a better feel of her perspective during all that and:

She's looking at him as he talks about it not being too late to build something new, and then she looks down.

Focus on the cymbal monkeys lining the Z-Drive that AU Powder put in as decoration.

We go back to Ekko, who also looks down for a second before he says the bit about someone worth building it for, and when the camera focuses on Jinx again, she seems to still be looking down at the Z-Drive before her gaze flickers back up to his face.

How the fuck did this detail not stick in my mind before this rewatch. The monkeys have been her symbol since childhood — it's practically her signature as Jinx, since what set her on the path to become Jinx was a cymbal-monkey bomb and she spray-paints it everywhere, in every place where she causes mayhem. But given AU Powder's fondness for them too it's safe to assume that she used them often for her gadgets even before that. Gadgets that she'd surely show and make with Ekko because that's a hobby they shared as children.

Her eyes fixating on this detail, these little toys that are synonymous with her, at the same time as he's saying the words that convince her to give life another try. It's significant! It's her past and her present, her inventiveness, her trauma and her havoc-wreaking — and Ekko is carrying it with him. During his time in utopian Zaun, he fell in love with AU Powder again, yes, but he was also finally able to reconcile with the fact that Jinx existing doesn't mean that his Powder is dead, that Jinx didn't replace her, that she's a continuation of the girl he knew. The cymbal-monkeys inside his device that allows him to rewind time and try again and again: they stand for both Jinx and the two Powders, three versions of the same girl he's come to love.

So Ekko, in this scene, is not really asking her to change and fix her image like Vi did (which kind of takes me back to his conversation with AU Powder in front of the Vi mural, when she asks him, "You want me to change?" and he tells her no, that she's the kind of person whose ideas change the world and should allow herself to live to her full potential — because he's missing that part of her that's salient in Jinx, but that AU Powder is repressing). To her, his words sound like she doesn't need to die to break the cycle. No part of her needs to die. There are no chairs to choose to sit in anymore.

There's also a possibility that she realises that he's doing something weird with time. Every second of this conversation, every time she looks at him, he suddenly gets more disheveled and injured despite the grenade never going off (from her perspective) — she must notice that. She looks at that glowing gadget by his side with this added touch that is very much hers. And maybe she figures out that it was a version of her who put it there.

the thing is that meeting a celebrity and taking a picture with them is inherently cringe to me. i’ve never looked at someone’s picture with a celebrity and thought they were cool for it. if it’s a staged photo like a con i’m like wow they must’ve paid so much for that, and if it’s somewhere random, i think what an asshole. like i don’t want to bother someone i don’t know like that. what would i possibly have to offer them? especially when they’re out in public trying to be a regular person and not be bothered

The trying to see if he can get Chen Zhongli back and the holding the body hostage thing feels like it comes a bit out of nowhere. If I remember correctly he even talked about how he doubts he survived because of the drowning death. Can you explain a bit of his thought process here? Cuz it feels a bit left field. I love the chapter and I will be going insane about it. But I’m still a bit confused where this thought came from. Zhongli in general here feels… very willing to die though. So I suppose it isn’t too surprising

i think the reason it feels out of left field for you might be because you're remembering that very scene you pointed out wrong

the 'doubts he survived bc of the drowning death' scene isn't like. about czl not surviving. that scene is about how zl is of the belief that czl can't be in his teyvat bc his body explodes upon death, n so there would be no body for czl to go to there specifically if it were a bodyswap scenario. the 'he would just die again bc i drowned' bit was him trying to tell the others how it wouldn't be possible without spilling the beans about there being no body to swap into. he's not lying about czl drowning again if he were to spawn in zl's body while it's at the bottom of the ocean, but the issue here is (and this is what he wanted to omit from the others): that there is no body. at least there isn't supposed to be one.

not to mention that scene was on the scenario were it is indeed a bodyswap situation, which zl is fairly convinced it isn't

genuinely i think i've been p thorough on keeping zl straight on the fact that he doesn't actually know wtf happened to czl (in the terms of like. where his soul is. obv he knows now what happened to him as in how he died lol). please the rest of you correct me if i'm wrong if i ever slipped up n gave that impression, but as far as the story has gotten rn, zl has no idea where czl is. he has no clue. the only things he does know about that issue is that 1) he's not in the body with him and 2) he's not in his body in his teyvat bc. again. no body

I'm in a very interesting position of "got comprehensive and age appropriate sex ed at a young age" but I was also molested as a kid. today's mood is being all decked out in punk attire, helping old ladies walk to & from their car at the post office. she told me that she had a fall recently & she was too scared to take the steps on her own, so i held her hand for all of it. then when i waited to escort her back to her car, she was so touched that i did telling me 'there is a special place in heaven for people like you' - and her sweet little husband in the car was waving at me too ;A; it was the sweetest little interaction and i will be thinking about it all day today.
