Every so often I think about the ways I thought wyll's quest was going to go at the end of act 1/early act 2
#The options I was considering were centered around questions about what it means to be a monster hunter in a world#Where monsters have humanoid intelligence or centered on his relationship with his father or centered on his view of politics and people#But uhhh those things never did come up#Sigh#I thought he might end up with a much darker political questline because of the “a Duke shakes hands with more monsters than he slays” line#I also thought (in act 3) with all the shit we saw the flaming fist pull we'd get some exploration of ulder's failures as their commander#And see Wyll de-mythologize his father and reckon with what was done to him but nope#And no mention at all of the idea that Karlach might not have been the first innocent mizora sent him after that didn't come up either#wyll ravengard#bg3
