hhh this might be a bit incoherent but like. i love the way that in enstars yeah some characters have similar sounding voices but then there are like specific times were that voice is so distinctly theirs

like ummmm. most of fine's voice are pretty distinct and recognizable to me, wataru's being the most bc his va speaks like, in a very specifc way for both him and nagi idolish7 and its even more recognizable when he's happy bc when i was watching i7 and heard nagi loudly excited my spirit almost astral projected with how much it reminded me of wataru. and haikyuu is practically a core memory so i could recognize murase ayumu in my sleep

but ummm more the other thing. like. i think izumi is my favorite example of this? like if he's singing with other people i might have trouble discerning him until he like. holds a note. the way masami itou holds notes is like, so specifically ingrained in my brain i recognize it every time. there's also shu's voice and i cant really pinpoint at when specifically he does it but there's a way that his va sings specific words/notes that makes his voice immediately recognizable

but anw this could also be i listen to the enstars discography like all the time so this might not make any sense lol

i listen to enstars songs a lot too and I think I get what ur saying ? sometimes i notice that with them talking but i don’t watch new anime as much as i used to so it’s not something i notice as much but i tried watching vnc and immediately was like “who is that. mugi????” but with talking i think it’s fun to bring up how both the aoi twins do sound different despite sharing a va, im. not sure which is which bc i don’t pay as much attention to the twins but one is a lot softer than the other!

but then there’s some vas who do some work that’s like unrecognizable from their other roles and I say this very lightly bc I know nothing abt hypmic but i saw a clip of the chara leos seiyuu plays and. how is that the same person who does leo just HOW

with just in-enstars voices i find some characters sound their best and distinctively themselves with their unit as opposed to with other people and sometimes i find that’s easiest to notice with fusionic stars/bns because some characters when singing with others are almost being drowned out? there isn’t the other characters in their unit there all built to compliment each other and suddenly their voice isn’t as distinctive

for me i notice this mostly with rei but that’s probs bc i listen to undead a lot but he’s got a very distinctive voice and range in undead songs everyone else there is structured to compliment each other but then u put him in fusionic stars and. u can’t hear him a lot of the time because he’s being drowned out ?
