Giyuu, Sanemi, and Rengoku With Baby Fever
TW: mentions of pregnancy, Sex, fem reader
Giyuu Tomioka
He hadn't put much thought into domestic life- after all, you were his first real relationship. However, when he lays eyes on your happy smile and the way you fussed over the three younger demon slayers, he can't help the feeling that pools in the pit of his stomach. A primal need for you, for a family. He's not particularly proud of the human weakness he currently experiences but each time he looks your way, his strength melts away, leaving only his desire to create life with you.
His smile is small but amused at how you motherly coddle Inosuke, attempting to wipe the mass of dirt off his face, despite his protests. Tanjirou seems almost as enamoured by your sweet behaviour as Giyuu is.
You can tell something is different with Giyuu- the way he holds your hand is just slightly tighter, the way he looks at you ever so slightly hungrier than you've seen. He stares off into space in contented silence, and you feel he is happiest in those moments. The idea made you curious as to what he was daydreaming about.
'Three children, maybe more' he thinks, pink tinging his cheeks at feeling so soft for you. He imagines what life outside of the corp- life with you- would be like. Blissful, peaceful, connecting but of course with moments of excitement and frustration that come from raising children. Maybe your children would have his hair and your eyes- or perhaps they will look the opposite, or exactly like you or him.
His cheeks once again flare up when another thought hits his head.
'And (y/n) would surely only become more beautiful over the years'
"Giyuu~." He is snapped out of his fantasy by your hand over his. "What are you thinking about?"
He gently squeezes your hand, looking deep into your eyes with humility as he thinks through the right words to say.
"We've been married for a year, and we haven't talked about it yet. I would completely understand if you object... but i have a request, that involves both of us." you listen eagerly to him.
"Sweetheart, i will always try my best to understand your wants, there's no reason to seem so nervous," you smile tenderly at him, hands coming up to cup his cheeks. The apples of his cheeks burst into flames at your touch, butterflies erupting underneath the skin of his shuddering chest.
"(Y/N) I love you. I will always love you... And if you will be so kind, I would like to start a family with you"
He sees your face break into a smile, which makes him smile. Before he knows it you're climbing into his lap and kissing him with a passion that fills him with a need he has never experienced.
Kyojurou Rengoku
Kyojurou was sure he wanted children at some point, and as your husband, he made you aware of this, in case it wasn't for you. For the most part, your husband had great self-control.
However, it always seems to slip away when his younger brother makes a comment, about how your baby would probably have bright hair like theirs. At first, it's just that thought, but soon he's thinking about baby names, daydreaming and kicking his legs behind him giggling. You easily notice your cheerful husband becoming even more giddy than usual- not to mention far more physically affectionate.
He finds every excuse under the sun to get you under him. He takes his time, forehead pressed against yours, enraptured in pleasure. Your legs are pressed to your chest; a new position for you. The sheer depth is enough to make you dizzy, even without moving.
Kyojurou looks deeply into your eyes before kissing you passionately, sensually, as if the world is ending.
"Honey, i think we should have a baby!" he huffs out in between languid thrusts. You thought he'd never ask.
"Me too, Kyo~"
Sanemi Shinazugawa
Sanemi doesn't not want kids. He just feels he would be a bad father given all of his hangups. He worries he won't be emotionally available for a child, or might accidentally scare them when he is angry.
So this feeling is conflicted within him. On one hand, he's utterly in love with you and the way you care for Genya is heartwarming to the point of actually convincing him he might be ok if you were by his side. On the other, he was terrified of being a bad parent.
Sanemi swears you look so pretty holding your friend's new baby. You hold it like you're accustomed to it like it was yours. And you just look so fucking happy like that. Maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing if he- no, he couldn't just rush into these things. But you look so pretty he's having a hard time rationalising anything.
He sits beside you, peering down at the baby that tries to grasp at his fingers. It's actually sort of cute, he thinks. Then you look up at him, and he's caught off guard by a vision of you and your own baby. Your friend has to physically bite back giggles while she watches the motions of Sanemi's thoughts. She knows what's happening better than he does.
She sparks up a conversation with you to see how flustered she can make the hashira on this topic. "You know, past the halfway mark I gave up putting on my own pants- it got too annoying when I couldn't see over the bump and boobs. My husband had to help me instead!"
It seems to work like a charm. Sanemi almost zones out, thinking about how you would look pregnant. Without realising it he is salivating at the thought of your swollen chest and round tummy. 'fuck,' he thinks, 'that sounds good'
Half an hour later he's rushing to leave, hastily pulling your coat over your shoulders and waving goodbye to the baby. He didn't dislike being there in any way- he'd just rather be somewhere else with you. He tugs you down the road, looking at you with a strange new fervour, eyes darting to your lips and tummy.
Your friend closes the door behind you with a mischievous grin. "I'll give it a week before she's pregnant<3"

Bring Them Home (Sergeant Hunter x Reader)
Notes: SPOILERS FOR SEASON THREE EPISODE TWO: PATHS UNKNOWN. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE SEASON THREE PREMIERE. Children, angsty Hunter Edit: STUPID TUNGLR POSTED THIS WHEN I MEANT TO SAVE IT SO PSA-- If you read this before 10pm EST on Feb 27, this one-shot is officially completed so please reread it again and enjoy it in its full glory.
gif by @dreamswithghosts
It had been months since you'd seen Hunter, so of course you and Phee were there when the Marauder touched down in the Archium. Wrecker waved to you both as the ramp lowered, beckoning to someone inside the ship.
Hunter said they were bringing someone with them, but you didn't expect the cadets-- the children --to look so bewildered when they stepped off the ship.
"They're so young," Shep said softly, and you wondered how round and baby-faced they must have been when they left Kamino, the only home they'd ever known.
The three cadets lingered on the steps of the ramp, looking around in earnest while Wrecker waited patiently.
"It smells like Kamino," the tallest said as you approached.
"Mox, did you see the ocean? D'you think they'll let us go swimming?"
"You can do whatever you want here!" Wrecker laughed encouragingly. He gave you his classic thump on the shoulders, and you smiled. It was the happiest you'd seen him since they lost Tech and Omega.
"Hi," You introduced yourself to the cadets, "What're your names?"
"I'm Deke. This is Mox, and that's Stak." The shortest of them stepped forward, while his brothers watched you warily.
"And I'm Phee Genoa, liberator of ancient wonders," Phee smiled warmly at them all.
"Welcome to Pabu," Shep said, "I'm the mayor here. We have a warm bed and fresh food for all of you."
"Thanks," Mox, the tallest, said softly. His arms were crossed over his chest, and Stak's hands fidgeted at his side.
"Wrecker, why don't you and Phee show them the island? I reckon they're as hungry as you."
Wrecker chuckled softly and nodded towards the ship, catching your drift. He beckoned for the kids to follow him. They seemed to trust a clone more than other humans, but that was understandable.
"Have you boys ever heard of Skara Nol?" you heard Phee asking them.
"What's that?" Deke asked.
"It's a big mountain, filled with lots of puzzles!" Wrecker said, waving his arms to demonstrate.
At that point, you'd stepped aboard. The warmth of the sun dissipated as you were enveloped in the Marauder's dim lighting. Hunter sat at the navicomputer to your right, half asleep and blanketed by a hazy blue glow.
"Those boys aren't the only ones who could use a home-cooked meal, you know." You said, putting more weight into your steps so he wouldn't be surprised by your approach.
"I assume you've brought some, then?" He said.
You rolled your eyes and took the canteen of gumbo from your bag.
"Only when you step away from the computer. It won't do you any good to spill it all over Tech's equipment now."
Hunter sighed, and set another diagnostic to run through the files.
"We've got another lead," He said, turning away from the computer. Your heart fluttered at the note of hope in his voice.
"The Intel from the Durands was too old, the kids were all that's left of that lab, but we scraped some data from one of the data banks. We think it could tell us where Hemlock took Omega."
You handed him the spoon, and Hunter tried to eat politely, but it soon gave way to his hunger as he shoveled spoonfuls into his mouth without waiting to chew.
"Careful, you'll make yourself sick," You warned him, "You've been eating too many rations. I'll have to send you off with some real food this time."
Hunter looked up at you, and you used your thumb to wipe some sauce from his chin, but you couldn't quite meet his eyes.
"You could always come with us. How's your leg doing?"
The only reason you hadn't gone with Hunter and Wrecker when they set out to find Omega was because your femur was broken in the same railcar crash that took Tech. Phee had promised to look out for you and keep you from getting too bored while they scoured the galaxy. Despite your protests, you knew that in your injured state, you couldn't be much help at all.
So you made yourself useful in Pabu. You sewed clothes to replace those lost in the tsunami, you looked after children while their parents rebuilt, you made your family's old gumbo recipe for those who were too tired to cook at the end of the day.
Those like Hunter.
"What about the kids? Deke, Mox and...Stak?"
Hunter nodded, "Shep said there were some families on Pabu who could take care of them for now, he even offered to take two of them into his own house."
"Oh," You said softly, "That's kind of him."
Setting the empty canteen to the side, Hunter squeezed one of your hands as it hung at your side.
"Everything alright, cyare?"
"Oh!" After so long without him, you forgot how well he knew you.
"I just...I was hoping we could take them in, take care of them."
Hunter's eyes softened, and finally stood. "I'll admit I thought about it myself, but..."
"Not while Omega's still captured," You finished for him, dropping his hand and folding your arms.
Hunter's thumb brushed against your cheek, begging for you to look at him.
"You remember that night on Ord Mantell, right?" He asked.
You pouted, bottom lip jutting out, "We spent a lot of nights on Ord Mantell." Too many, to be precise.
"You know the one I'm talking about," He cupped your face in both hands, and you looked up at the dark circles beneath his eyes.
And you did know the night he mentioned. It was a full moon, so you could actually see the moon high above all the neons and smoke from the city. Hunter had made you a promise then and there, and you made one to him too. Nothing like marriage, but something like it.
Biting your lip, you reached up to run your thumb over his crows' feet. His eyes closed, blissfully relaxed beneath your touch. You knew how much he needed to find her. He could never forgive himself if anything happened to you, to Wrecker, or any of the cadets they'd just saved.
"I meant what I said that night," He whispered, eyes glistening as his forehead rested against yours, "We'll have our own family some day, something Kamino and the Empire won't ever be able to take from us. We just have to wait a bit longer."
You sniffled just a bit, and buried your face in his chest. You wrapped your arms around his torso, and when he wrapped his arms around you he leaned more of his body weight on you than he usually did. He felt frail, delicate even, like too much pressure in one place would snap him in half.
Hunter needed you, and you needed him.
"I'm coming with you," You whispered. He sighed with relief.
"Let's bring her home."

“I think the saddest people always try their hardest to make people happy because they know what it’s like to feel absolutely worthless and they don’t want anyone else to feel like that.” - Robin Williams
“When Mom scolded you freely, you more frequently called her Mom. The word ‘Mom’ is familiar and it hides a plea: Please look after me. "I want you to know that it is okay not to love me. [ … ] You are not the first person. I want you to know that you are not the first who found it a little too tough, who took two steps back when my jaws started snapping."

Ok so there was one point where I said I was gonna write a drabble based off of toby and tolouse's scarab dreams. Yeah here it is. But in all honesty this was just an excuse to write cascarab angst </3
Scarab leaned forward slightly on their cane, breathing heavily. The hike they had just gone on with their wives had been ridiculously hard, much harder than B0UNTY said it would be. But when they looked up, they realized why he had dragged her and Jessie all the way out here.
The view was breathtaking. The sun peeked out just barely from behind the other mountains, tinting everything a soft orange. She heard B0UNTY laugh from beside her.
"Pretty, ain't it?" He asked. They just nodded.
"Ain't nearly as pretty as you, ya'know." He wrapped his arms around her hips, making her yelp. Jessie snickered.
"He's right, ya'know. Both'f ya are the prettiest damn things 've ever seen."
Scarab just made a hmph noise. "Well, ah'm starved, so if the two 'f ya are done bein' gross, ah'll set up for the picnic."
That was the idea behind the hike, to have a picnic together at the summit to celebrate their 6 month anniversary. The happiest 6 months of Scarab's life.
The other two ended up helping her with the picnic supplies and soon they were sitting together, nothing saying a word, just enjoying the moment. Scarab's head was on B0UNTY's shoulder and Jessie was curled up in his lap. The plan was to sit there and watch the sunset, then transport back to H1VE.
"Ya'know, we've got no way of tellin' if these berries're the poisonous sort 'r not." Jessie grabbed another raspberry from the pile. "Ah probably shouldn't be eatin' these."
"We brought the field guide, Capy." B0UNTY reminded it. "But just in case.." He took one out of it's hand, popping it in his mouth. "Ah cain't be havin' mah Capybara gettin' sick."
"How kind of ya t' steal 'er food."
Scarab lifted haw's head from B0UNTY's shoulder long enough to sit up and kiss him. Yee could taste the raspberry in his mouth. B0UNTY's hand reached up and traced the scars on their neck, causing her to hum in pleasure.
When they both broke the kiss, Scarab returned to snuggling into her Fox. She lifted a hand, holding up her wedding rings to the light, studying the words engraved on each one. Fox. Capybara.
For some reason even just seeing the words filled them with peace. It was a reminder that they had each other, they were okay. Scarab sighed with contentment.
---
Scarab sighed. They knew it wasn't good to let themself linger on memories, but they couldn't help it. They wanted to remember everything about their partners.
Even if she would never see them again.
Another sigh. It was for the best, yee reminded yeehawself. If they left, Cassie would.... well. They didn't want to think about what Cas said he would do, and had already done. The tattoo (brand) was just starting to heal. At least it didn't hurt anymore.
She looked over at Castiel, asleep and nestled into her shoulder. He looked pretty. Really pretty, with his hair down and an almost softness to his face. Without really thinking about it she leaned over and kissed him on the forehead.
Their mind began to wander. Nights like this had been common, back at H1VE. Nights curled up next to her partners, slowly falling asleep, knowing she was safe and cared for and loved...
"Mornin', Bug." The jolt of panic yee felt when Castiel spoke up is something yee didn't quite know how to deal with.
"It- it ain't mornin', Capy-" Shit. "Cassie. It- it's still dark out, Cassie. Ya've only been asleep fer an hour 'r so." It was hard to keep up the cowboy voice without their hat, but Scarab managed.
They realized that they'd been fidgeting with their wedding rings while they zoned out, running their thumb over the words engraved on them. They stopped when Cas opened an eye.
"You doin' ok, Bug?"
"'m fine. Jus'... ya'know, thinkin'."
"Mhmm. 'bout your partners?"
Scarab froze. Yee didn't really know why, only that Castiel mentioning haw's partners scared haw.
"Yeah. Jus' a bit'f heartsickness is all," they made themself respond after a little bit.
"Bug, you know it isn't healthy to constantly think about them. You have me now!" He smiled up at them. Cute. "Besides, you know that they didn't love you, right? Not really. Nobody from H1VE did."
Scarab didn't say anything.
"Bug, are you even listening? You know they don't. If they loved you they would've come and found you by now."
"Y-yeah. Yeah. 'm listenin'."
They didn't love her. They didn't love her. They never loved her. She just needed to remind herself of that. They never loved her. They never loved her.
"C'mon Bug, let's get some sleep. It's late."
Scarab let Castiel pull them on top of him, and pushed down the memories of this happening a million times before with two other people. They didn't love haw. They never did.
"Love you, Bug."
They were so lost in their own thoughts they barely heard him.
"Bug, say it back. I love you!"
The sudden change in tone is what shocked haw into replying.
"Love you too, Cassie."
#smiles and bats my eyelashes#scarab walters#queerplatonic pardners#cascarab#one of these days i will write a cascarab fic that isn't just Scarab Torment. today is not that day

The Affair
Okay, yes I know, this post is very bad. I'm not justifying what I've done, I feel guilty about it, and nothing I can or will say will make you understand why I did what I did.
But here's the story.
It all started with a text, one simple text to a man that I didn't know. A text about a fire permit.
Let me give you some context.
Blake and I bought a farm, surrounded by holiday resorts and holiday farms. All these places around us did fire breaks and block burns, and every year you need to do an application for a fire permit. Now what did I know about fire permit applications, nothing. Who did I think knew about these things, obviously the property owners around us.
Now I didn't just text him, I texted some of the neighbors that I knew, that I met. He was the only one that I haven't met.
5th May 2023, a simple text.
"Hi Conrad, it's Ash for ThisFarm.
Sorry to bother you."
"You bother me,
Never."
My heart burned. I never met this man, and have only seen him is the passing on the road but never took a moment to really look at him. And here I was, getting excited over a text message. Well that text message led me into a whirl wind of a romance that I never thought would ever happen.
It started off slow, a text here and there everyday for a week, and sending Instagram memes back and forth. But one day that fascination took over full force, and we texted from 3pm to 1am. And that started then from 7am to 1am.
I fell in love with a man that I have never met, a man that I have never seen. It was bliss. I found myself opening up to him about my trauma and my life, something that I have never done. I found my comfort, a person who I felt entirely safe with.
And little did I know that I would be his safe space.
Conrad has been in a 19 year relationship, dated for 9 and married for 10. But his wife is sick. She has an uncurable disease that is slowly eating away at her. She has strokes, and mood swings, and has started becoming somewhat abusive with her words and actions.
I became a solace for him. And the texting became for intimate. I yearned for him. So quickly my heart got attached to this man.
"It's to click with someone
Just being in tune
Same wave length and not expecting anything from the other person but being happy to msg them or them me
And love spending time with them
Time is good."
"Morning beautiful
So ill be first
I want to kiss every scar you have
Then all will be better"
"Here is something pretty
''You should get a flower everyday so you can walk in a garden forever ''
This man became a part of my soul.
We made a date, a Saturday, when my husband would be at work, that he would come by the house and we could meet. I won't forget that day, it was one of the happiest days of my life.
I turned around and there he stood, in my front door, the sun illuminating his silhouette. He's tall, stunningly beautiful, he has the bluest eyes, like swirling pools in the ocean. He has those eyes that stare past you and straight into your soul. He has nice hands, pretty hands, probably my favorite part of his body.
I smiled, and I felt my heart beat in my throat, I was nervous and scared, but so excited. He smiled and I felt the earth move beneath my feet. He stretched out his hand and this man, brought me flowers. The only other time I ever got flowers was from my grandad when I gave birth, and here this man was bringing me flowers, only because I told him an insignificant detail of my life.
I stood up high on my toes and wrapped my arms around him and he took ahold of me and I felt his warmth. The scent of his skin, I felt the strength of his arms and the grip of his hands.
We spend about 2 hours together, and it felt like a few minutes. It felt so normal, like we've known each other our whole lives. He told me more about his family, and the sickness his wife has.
My heart yearned for him, but the moment that it all came together in a perfect red bow was when my daughter woke up.
She woke up walked outside onto the veranda, took one look at him, and lifted her arms up to him.
He picked her up and she sat on his lap and he played with her and she cuddled him. In that moment, I saw a life that I wanted. I saw a future that I wanted.
I wanted another woman's husband, knowing full well how wrong it is, but I had no intention of stopping.
"We would be good together." He texts me.
And so it became Saturday to Saturday.
He is respectful. He even asked me permission if he could kiss me. He never tried to engage in anything sexual, and never forced himself onto me.
One month became two, and we started video calling each other at night when everyone went to bed. Both our phones would be on mute and we would just sit.
A part of me wanted him, everything, I wanted a life with him, but the other part of me knew that it won't happen.
I wouldn't allow him to leave his wife for me, and I didn't think I'd ever find the courage to leave Blake. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. I wanted something that I couldn't have, and I couldn't leave something that I didn't know how to cope without.
But I loved him, I still love him. Everyday.
And he loves me.

❚❙ JOIN MY TAG LIST.
Never in your life you could think about having a most perfect wedding, Angel didn't care about it too much, being enough for him to see you happy.
The most magical place you have ever been. Especially when the sun is almost falling, around five pm.
From the window of his room, you can see the backyard perfectly decorated by Creeper and Riz. They didn't lie when they told you that would be amazing.
White and red roses everywhere, forming vines wrapping the wooden beams of the altar. Over the guests' chairs, there are six fairy lights, giving some more intimacy when the night has come; and a red carpet in the hallway, over the grass.
All your friends are there, mixed with the Mayans, waiting for you.
Your hands are trembling, alone in Taza's room, while you hear some voices and laughs outside. You can't help but take another look of yourself in the mirror.
The white dress fits your body perfectly, falling from your chest to the floor.
The girl at the shop called it ‘a-line wedding dress’. You don't care about the name, but about the fact that you look like the most beautiful girl. Your hair is tied on top of your head, behind a delicate silver tiara and small red crystals in it. Soft make-up, that Bishop's Old Lady did for you, just like your future husband likes.
Felipe is run of words when he comes to the room, but you can see what he thinks in his eyes, about to cry.
You know that he would like that Marisol could see you marrying her son. She would love to see the man Angel turned himself into since he met you three years ago.
“Hey, I’m Angel Reyes, and you know what? You’ll be my wife one day”.
He wasn’t wrong.
But he’s not going to lie. He has been the whole night having nightmares about you running away from him; about you deciding that you didn’t want a life with him.
Ezekiel and Coco have been awake too, comforting him whenever the doubts hit his mind.
Holding Felipe’s arm, he guides you downstairs to the outside, feeling your legs shaking and your heart about to explode. You have doubts too. You’re scared of him taking a step back at the last moment.
Although every bad feeling disappears from the two of you, as soon as you lay eyes with each other.
Angel is about to cry. So are you.
For you, for him, there's no one else around your orbit. Just the two of you. Him waiting at the wedding altar, watching you walk over the red carpet perfectly placed on the ground.
And, damn. You thought that Angel couldn't look better, until you have seen him wearing that suit.
A black suit, covering the immaculate white shirt under a silver waistcoat with mayan symbols tissues in it. His hair is perfectly brushed to the back of his head and his beard is giving you desires of kissing it.
Seriously, it should be illegal to look this good.
But the detail that steals all your attention is the fact that he isn't wearing his characteristics rings. That big silver cross in his right pinkie and a signet ring with the Virgin of Guadalupe in his ring finger.
Felipe kisses your cheek, to intertwine his son's hand with yours.
You can't help but use your free hand to clean the tears falling down his cheeks, making Angel chuckles softly. You are always taking care of him with the most minimal details, showing him how much you love him, before leaning forward to kiss the tip of his nose.
“You changed me. You changed my life. You came with that smile, illuminating all the darkness around me. You've accepted me, advised me, shown me the road to happiness, put me first. You've never, ever, judged me. You've healed me, you've healed my wounds, my soul, my heart. You gave me the opportunity I always thought I would never have… You, mi reina, have loved me unconditionally without asking for anything back. I don't have enough words to express how I feel every morning when I wake up with you under my arms, when I kiss you, when I see you dancing in our kitchen, when you… look me with these beautiful eyes as if I was the fucking Big Bang happening in front of you”. Bringing your hands to his mouth, Angel kisses every knuckle of them. “I can't imagine a single day without you, without hearing your laugh, without reading your texts desiring me a good day when you wake up and I'm already gone. I don't wanna live a single day without hearing you singing in the shower, without riding my bike with you behind my back, without you smacking my ass and screaming ‘daaaamn, this is all mine’! You make me happy like no one could do. You make me feel important like no one could do. And I promise you, fuck… I swear it to God, that I'm gonna give you all of me. Every second of every minute, of every hour of every day till the end of my time. I don't want to live without you”.
Now, it's Angel who has to clean your tears, causing some laughs between the guests. And he can't help but wrap you with his arms in a tight, tight hug. The warmest and dearly hug he has ever given you.
“I didn't know what love was until I met you. I didn't know which was the meaning of life until I met you. Mi rey. My other half. It was you, and only you, since I saw you the first time sitting on your bike, smoking and with that face of grumpy idiot”. The guests laugh again, because they all know that pose. “And then you standed up and started to walk, and I thought ‘what the hell is wrong with his leg’”. More laughs. The loudest comes from your future husband. “But I would never change you for anyone else. We've been through bad days and good days. Shitty nights and funny nights. I would never change my life with you for anything else. No one has ever made me happy as you do every moment of my existence. You're the most awesome, incredible, loyal and lovely man I have ever met. You fight for me, you take care of me, you protect me. You make me smile whenever I feel insufficient, whenever I feel sad, whenever I feel that I don't belong anywhere. My home, my life, my happiness is wherever you are, Angel Reyes”.
Then, Taza as the priest looks at the two of you, before guiding his dark eyes towards you. “Would you want to take Angel Ignacio Reyes in hol—”. He can't finish, being interrupted by the man in question clicking his tongue. “Of fucking course she wants”. Gently grabbing your chin with a hand and placing the other on the back of your head, Angel kisses you by pecking your lips, making you laugh.
But Leti breaks the moment, coughing exaggeratedly. You asked her to be the flower girl and she has been practicing the last month, to don’t mess up her task. The most important one, actually.
For the next two hours, you can’t stop looking at your hand tangled with Angel’s, and the two fresh golden rings in your fingers. To other people they could be just two pieces of jewelry, but for you it’s the purest way to show him your love, your support, and your unconditional trust in him.
And for the next two hours, Angel can’t stop kissing your face all around. Going down with furtive kisses on your neck, your shoulder, your knuckles; not being able to take off from you his other arm around your waist, tightly closed to push you next to him.
Coco and Gilly are in charge of the speech, knowing that it’s going to be more funny than you thought, when they get up from their chairs drunk as fuck after too many shots of tequila. “Yo, mami… you really got the golden dick”. “Man!” Gilly punches him on the shoulder, making him strumble with his own feet and having to grab the other’s jacket to not fall. “I’m speaking the truth! Who was gonna think that he would get the girl to this point, ah?” “Not me”. “Me neither”. “You jealous, ah, motherfuckers?” Angel tosses them a napkin, causing the laugh of everyone around you. “Seriously, girl… How you do it to st—”.
“Enough?” Leti whispers to EZ, sitting by her side. The younger Reyes nods in silence, getting up, making Creeper and Riz a sign to take them off from the center of the yard; between curses in spanish and in some kind of invented language because of the alcohol.
“Hey, brother, I just want to tell you that by far this is the happiest moment of my life. You don’t deserve anything but all the love and the affection, and we all know that only her can give it to you”. You’re starting to think that EZ’s purpose is making Angel cry, because his eyes are being filled up with a bunch of tears now. “Our lives haven’t been easy, you know that… And you have put all the weight on your shoulders since ever, but I’m proud of you. Of who you are. Of calling you my brother. Mi sangre. I don’t desire you anything but happiness, Angel”.
“Yeah, and God bless your patience, sister”. Leti can’t help but add that remark, trying to not laugh when she finds you nodding energetically, before kissing your husband’s tears running down his cheek.
The big toast echoes all around the ranch, in the meantime that the prospects from Yuma and Stockton bring the cake. One of them. That’s the main, a three-story cake of black and white chocolate with your names drawn in red. Canche’s wife has made it for you. She’s an amazing pastry.
And you thought that Angel wouldn’t do it. HE PROMISED YOU ONE HUNDRED TIMES.
But that piece of shit were lying,
Stamping a piece of cake on your face, your husband quickly grabs your wrists to avoid you punch him, or do the same to him. As you sob between chuckles, keeping your eyes closed, Angel licks your lips with the tip of his tongue. “Mi dulce, mi favorito”.
“You promised me…”
“Ah, ah… I promised that I wouldn’t smash YOUR face IN the cake. And I didn't”.
After cleaning yourself and changing the heavy dress for another one that fits your silhouette to the perfection, you are ready to give your husband the last surprise of your wedding.
“Are you takin' me to a dark corner?” “Stop asking, Angel… You'll see”.
At the front yard, a baseball bat and a ball awaits. “What's that, baby?”
“Sh… I throw you the ball, and you hit it, okay?”
So there you are, watching Angel in position as in his old times, when he used to play in highschool.
You throw it.
He hits it.
And in just one second, the distance between you gets caught up by a pink powder, almost staining your clothes.
Angel is in shock. The bat falls from his hand. Eyes widened. Parted lips. His skin bristled, as his cheeks got wet again because of the tears.
“Felicidades, papi”.
He can't stop crying, embracing you with all his strength to his chest. Your husband can't believe anything that is happening today. All he has ever wanted is happening in a sight.
“The day we met, you told me that one day I would be your wife. And I told you that you looked like the father of my future children”.

EOA Discord Server Ship Appreciation Week Day 2: Cooling Off
a/n: hi everyone! to all that left some feedback on day 1’s fic, thank you so much!! i’m so happy to know that people are enjoying my fics, i’m really excited to finally be sharing some with you guys! sorry today’s fic is a bit late, i of course put it off lol, and i intended to have a lot more time to write today, but i ended up having a lot less than i thought. but, regardless, i spent the rest of my night writing this so i could post this as close to on time as possible!
this fic is basically the beach day the four amigos deserved to have in the show, but of course, with some cute gabelena moments scattered in there :) fun fact, the beach they visit is inspired by my local beach, one that i also have many childhood memories of, and still visit every summer! not me projecting my childhood onto elena, what no 😗✌🏻
anyways, a couple quick notes! i chose the name moteada for the horse elena rides, since it was the closest spanish translation i could find to “spotted” (or spotty, as little me would say). if any spanish speakers know of a word that is closer to that (as in spotted in appearance), please let me know! also this could technically be a modern au?? not sure how much of what’s featured in this would exist in avalor, so interpret it as you’d like.
once again, another thank you to @procrastinateland for the absolutely adorable art to go along with the fic!! elena’s smile is just so cute, isn’t it? 🥺
okay, enough of my notes lol, on with the fic! hope you all enjoy! :)
After quite a few of their planned beach days had gotten rained out, Elena, Gabe, Mateo, and Naomi felt like they'd never get a fun and relaxing day together. But, one warm summer day, the sun would be bright and shining all day long, and the four amigos knew they had to take advantage of it.
The four of them met up at the palace that morning, and made sure they were all ready to go. After packing the carriage with all the necessities, they headed off to Avalor City's most popular beach, Playa de la Marea.
Elena smiled as they approached the beach, and took a deep breath, taking in the salty sea air. Playa de la Marea was a nostalgic location for her, as her and her family visited the beach each summer when she was a kid. Some of her happiest memories took place here, and she couldn't wait to create new memories here with her friends.
As the carriage drove them down the avenue, the four of them took in the sights. To their right, was the beautiful Playa de la Marea, which stretched down the coast for about five miles. A concrete wall lifted the road slightly above sea level, but beside it was plenty of space for walking along the ocean, as well as a couple of places to eat. To their left was a boardwalk of sorts, which included plenty of fun things to do. Restaurants, shops, an arcade, mini golf, carousel, ice cream shop, anything to add a bit more fun to a summer day.
The carriage pulled over for the four of them to step out and finally begin their day at the beach. Elena stepped out first, and took a look around. Things had certainly changed around here in the past four decades.
"Where's the amusement park?" Elena asked, as if it had somehow suddenly disappeared. "It used to be right behind those buildings!" she added, pointing over across the street.
"Amusement park?" Gabe asked as he began to unpack the back of the carriage. "What are you talking about?"
"Gabe, she missed out on like, half a century. Who knows what this place looked like when she was a kid?" Naomi said, leaning over the back of the carriage.
"She's right, there was one here. Parque de la Perfección was right where this boardwalk is today." Mateo explained. "My mamá used to visit as a child all the time, it closed about thirty years ago, so I'm sure Elena remembers it just as well. There's only one attraction from it left, maybe we could ride that today."
Elena's eyes lit up as she turned to the group. "Can we?" she asked.
"Uh, can we at least go to the beach first?" Naomi replied with a soft laugh. "We've only been waiting forever for a perfect day like this, let's go!"
With that, Naomi hopped out of the carriage, and each of the amigos grabbed a bag or two to carry down to the beach. After a few minutes of searching for the perfect spot, each of them laid down a blanket, as well as setting up a couple of chairs and an umbrella. Naomi stepped back for a moment, and made a frame with her fingers, before giving the group a thumbs up.
"Looks great, guys!" she said. "Now c'mon! The sea's a'waitin!" She was just about to run off towards the ocean, before a voice stopped her.
"Hang on!" Mateo said, and grabbed a bag from beside him. He emptied the contents of it onto one of their towels, and about all there was to see was every type of sunscreen imaginable.
“Looks like somebody came prepared!" Elena joked with a small laugh.
"My mother came prepared." Mateo responded. "She couldn't have her 'precious baby boy' come home with a sunburn, or any sort of tan, apparently.." he said, before placing the bag aside, having completely emptied it. "So, I've got lotion, spray, a stick, whatever you prefer!"
"I'll take the spray, thanks." Elena answered, and Mateo threw a can over to her.
"I should probably cover myself in this.." Mateo said, taking a bottle of the lotion equivalent. "I'd be afraid to see my mother's reaction if I came home with even the slightest bit of redness." he added with a slight laugh.
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm heading into the water, I'll be fine." Naomi commented.
"But Naomi, you're the palest of all of us!" Mateo replied. "You'll be bright red!"
Naomi rolled her eyes, but smiled, knowing her friend was just looking out for her. "Alright, fine." she said. "Elena, hit me up with some of the spray."
Elena managed to spray on just enough to cover Naomi's body, before she was headed off to the water. She smiled and laughed a bit, before taking off her beach cover-up, and spraying some onto herself as well.
A moment later, the rest of the friends were ready to join Naomi in the water. The waves were just right that day, rough enough to play around in, but calm enough to simply enjoy the shallower end. The water was on the chillier side, but on a hot summer day like this one, it felt quite refreshing.
Elena took Gabe's hand in hers as they reached the water, he could barely keep up with her in that moment! Once the water came to about her waist, she dived right into a wave. A second later, her head popped up from under the water with a big smile, and Gabe couldn't help but smile as well. He loved seeing Elena in rare moments like this one, where she could truly sit back, relax, and let loose. After all she had been through and all she'd done for the kingdom so far, she very much deserved it.
Naomi was still multiple feet out from them, the water had to be much over her head. But being practically raised on a ship, the water was certainly her element. Once she noticed her friends, she waved to them, and began to swim a bit closer to the group.
"Water's perfect today, isn't it?" she asked them. "Got some decent sized waves to jump into as well! I'm not the only one who's always liked to do that, right?"
"Uh, absolutely not!" Elena replied. "I'm in!"
Gabe looked out onto the horizon, and noted the size of some of the waves. A few of them were a bit too rough for his liking, especially for someone like Elena, who was much shorter than he was. What if she got knocked under and never came back up? What if she lost her footing and got sucked into a current? There were too many possibilities of what could go wrong, and even though this was technically an off day for him, his protective royal guard side couldn't help but come out.
"Elena, I don't know.." he said, protectively wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "What if one of them knocks you under and you don't come up? I can't let anything happen to you."
Elena rolled her eyes and shook her head. "Oh, come on Gabe, loosen up a little! I'll be fine, I can swim. Besides, it's an off day for us all, let's just have some fun! You can join us, if you'd like." she offered.
Gabe sighed, he knew that he did have to learn to trust Elena on her own more often, she didn't need to be protected. "Alright, fine, I'll come too." he said. "How about you just don't go any further than you can reach, okay?"
Elena nodded, that was reasonable enough. "Will do!" she said, and took his hand in hers once more. "Now let's go!"
The next few minutes were spent jumping over the waves, diving into them, or even getting knocked down a few times! Elena just couldn't help but smile and laugh each time this happened, especially with Gabe rushing to fix his hair before the next wave came along to mess it up again.
When a break between waves came along, Elena wrapped her arms around Gabe's neck with a smile, and leaned up to kiss him. Gabe wrapped his arms around Elena's waist and pulled her in closer, kissing her right back. Elena couldn't picture a more perfect day, she just wanted this sweet little moment to last forever.
Naomi turned to say something to her best friend, only to see the couple wrapped up in this embrace. She rolled her eyes but laughed to herself, and jokingly called, "Get a room!"
When Naomi turned back towards the sea, she was faced with one of the biggest waves she had seen that day. She dived right into it, and found herself about six feet under the water. Once she reached the surface, the wave hadn't reached her friends yet, but it was pretty close to them. Of course, Gabe and Elena were oblivious to what was heading their way, so Naomi called out to warn them. When not even that broke the couple apart, Naomi knew they'd be finding out on their own soon enough.
Elena could've sworn she had heard a voice a moment earlier, but she didn't think it was directed towards her or Gabe. But, when she heard the roaring of a wave, she opened her eyes for a moment, and pulled away. When he felt Elena shift, Gabe pulled back and looked down at her, concerned. When he turned his head in the same direction as she did, the pair gasped. Before they could do much else, the two found themselves knocked under the water. For a few seconds, they were completely submerged, before they managed to find their footing and push back up to the surface.
Gabe just so happened to reach the surface first, so when Elena was no where to be found, he instinctively feared the worst. Just as he was about to dive back into the water, Elena reached the surface to catch her breath. Before Gabe could quickly wrap his arms around her to make sure she was okay, she started to laugh. Gabe couldn’t believe her, she had practically just drowned, how could she be laughing at a time like this? Unfortunately for Gabe, though, Elena's laugh was quite infectious. If she was laughing, she had to be okay. So, Gabe started to laugh a bit himself.
"I think that's enough ocean for us today." he said through his laughs.
"Maybe so!" Elena agreed with a laugh as well. "How about we head a bit closer to shore?"
"Now that sounds a bit safer, I'm not almost losing you to a wave again!" Gabe joked.
For the next couple of hours, the four amigos had a wonderful time at the beach. They spent plenty of time on the water, had a quick lunch on the shore, bathed in the sun (or under the umbrella, in Mateo's case), and just spent a bit of time talking to one another, about things that didn't have to do with their usual tasks. They were able to spend the day as just a regular group of friends, not a crown princess, royal wizard or guard, and grand councilwoman. The group began to pack up as it began to reach high tide, but their day wasn't over just yet.
The amigos left most of their things back in the carriage before heading across the street to the boardwalk. There was certainly plenty to do, it'd be practically impossible to do it all in one day! But, they decided on the arcade for their first stop, and something immediately caught Elena's eye as they walked in.
"Awww, how cute is this?" she asked the group, pointing up to a yellow and pink jaquin plush hanging on the wall, amongst other prizes to win. "It's just so soft and cuddly..I've got to take that thing home!"
Gabe was not going to let his girlfriend go home without this jaquin, he was determined that he was going to win it for her. It cost a decent amount of tickets, but if he timed it right, it was achievable.
Naomi had already headed over to an air hockey table, and was standing at the ready. "Alright, who wants to try and best me?" she asked. "You know, when I was eight, I beat my whole crew at an arcade in Corinthia."
Gabe raised an eyebrow at her, a spark of determination in his eye. "You're on, Miss Turner." he said.
Determined to bring Elena home a little jaquin, when Naomi won the first match 7-5, Gabe wasn't giving up that easily. Best two out of three soon turned into three out of five, and while Gabe did manage to win a game or two, Naomi came out as the victor, and with a good sum of tickets to show for it. Knowing he probably didn't stand a chance against her, he moved onto another game.
Meanwhile, Elena had been trying out a variety of different games, some she was pretty good at, others she could barely get through a round without getting frustrated at. As much as she really wanted the adorable jaquin plush, all she really wanted was to have fun with her friends. If she left the arcade with a tiny little prize, so be it. She then got herself dragged into a game of air hockey with Naomi, which grew just as competitive as her previous matches with Gabe.
After spending a good hour or two at the arcade, the amigos were in need of a change of scenery. Competition certainly got tiring after a while! But, before they moved on, they had to pick out their prizes! Gabe sighed as he received his final number of tickets, he was only twenty short of Elena's beloved jaquin. He didn't even want to think of her disappointed face when she learned of this. He looked around, was there anything else she might love just as much? But, before he could make a decision, he noticed Elena approaching him.
"Elena, I-" he began to say, ready to apologize for not being able to win her the jaquin. But before he could, Elena pulled something out from behind her back. It was a small plastic sword, similar to one a royal guard might carry, only on a smaller scale.
"This is for you!" she said, holding it out to him with a smile. "Now you can protect me for the rest of the day with this!" she joked.
Gabe couldn't help but smile and laugh, he certainly appreciated the thought. He looked over the sword as she passed it over to him, and then began to try out a couple of moves with it.
"Wow, I've got to say, this is better than my captain's sword back at the palace!" he joked. "I think we should replace our standard issue swords with these ones!"
Elena smiled and laughed as well as Gabe 'tried out' his new sword. "I agree, the ones we have now are just too big and bulky, don't you think?" she joked.
"Oh, absolutely." Gabe agreed with a laugh. "Or maybe, I'll pull this out at our next fencing practice, you won't be able to beat me then!"
"Unfortunately, these swords here are quite pricey, I only had enough tickets for one!" Elena replied. "Well, enough for one and a handful of candy." she added, showing him a couple of pieces of candy she had received as well.
The thought of tickets reminded Gabe of what Elena truly wanted, the jaquin plush. He knew that even though she was excited with her purchase for him, she'd definitely notice the jaquin on their way out, and she'd be so disappointed to be leaving without it. So, he knew he just had to be honest with her.
"Speaking of that, I tried to win you that jaquin, since I knew you really wanted it.." he explained. "But unfortunately, I came a few tickets short of being able to win it for you, I'm sorry."
Before Elena could tell Gabe that it was alright, she was cut off by a female voice.
"One adorable jaquin plush for my beloved princess!" Naomi said, jokingly bowing to Elena, with the prized pink and yellow jaquin in her arms.
Elena gasped with delight, and held the plushie tight once Naomi handed it over to her. It was even softer, and cuddlier, and more adorable in person! Her day was already great as it was, but this just made it that much better! She wrapped Naomi in a hug and thanked her, she was just so excited to have it.
Gabe couldn't help but sigh when he realized that he wasn't the one to win Elena the jaquin, but those feelings quickly faded when he saw how Elena's face just lit up at the sight of it. He tried his best to make this day great for her, but hey, she still got that jaquin! Besides, he knew how she smiled as she took in the sights of the beach, how she laughed as they were both knocked down by a wave, Elena was having a great day for herself no matter what, jaquin or not. And that's what mattered most.
Their next stop was the carousel, the final remaining attraction of Parque de la Perfección. Elena was also looking forward to this, since she had so many memories of riding this very carousel as a child. She remembered her parents mentioning how once they got her on, it was hard to get her off! She especially used to love when Isabel would ride on the horse beside her, and her father would stand between the two, closely watching to see which one of his daughters would ‘win the race’. Elena smiled remembering her parents, she did miss them very much. Though she missed those days, now she was here to make new memories with her best friends, and she couldn’t wait.
As the four of them stepped onto the ride, Elena immediately went searching for a very specific horse. She quickly walked through the rows and rows of them, until finally, she came across the one she was looking for.
“Moteada!” she exclaimed, and hopped onto a small black and white spotted horse.
“Mote-huh?” Naomi asked.
“Moteada!” Elena repeated. “This was the horse I rode on almost every single time I visited as a kid, she was my favorite for some reason! I called her Moteada due to her spots.” she explained.
“That’s cute, I’m glad you could ride her again today!” Naomi replied with a smile, before setting her sights on a large, chestnut brown horse in the same row. “I call the big one!” she called, hopping aboard it.
Elena laughed softly as Naomi grabbed onto the leather ‘reins’ on the horse, sitting up straight and tall. She jokingly waved around, as if she were the most important being on the biggest horse. Mateo was seated atop a grey horse beside Naomi, all four amigos seated right in the same row.
Of course, Gabe was going to be right next to his Elena, so he hopped onto a beige horse beside her. He smiled as Elena took her new jaquin friend and placed it right in front of her, as if they were going for a ride too.
When a bell sounded to signal that their ride was about to begin, Elena felt like she was a child again. It were almost as if she was back here for a beach day with her family, racing to sit atop Moteada before anyone else reached her, giggling with her sister as they each neared ‘the finish line’, and waving to her mother, it felt like nothing had changed.
Gabe knew they’d have to plan beach days like this more often, since this was the happiest he’d seen Elena in a while. Not that Elena wasn’t an overall happy person, you’d always come across her walking down the hall with a smile. But something about today was different, maybe due to the nostalgia this day brought her. Regardless, Gabe couldn’t get enough of seeing Elena’s beautiful face light up with a smile, he couldn’t help but smile as well glancing over at her.
When Elena turned her head to the side for a moment, she noticed Gabe smiling over at her. So, she reached over towards him and pulled him in for a kiss. She pulled back a moment later with a soft laugh, giving him a look of so much love. There wasn’t anyone else she’d rather be sharing these moments with, and she couldn’t wait to create many more memories just like this with him in the future.
A couple of minutes later, their ride was gradually slowing down. Once it had come to a complete stop, Elena’s horse just so happened to have stopped at the highest height possible. She looked down and laughed to herself, even though she was that many years older and that much taller than she was on her last ride, it was still quite a ways down for her!
“Well, this’ll be quite the fall!” she joked to herself, as she began to swing one leg over to hop down.
But, before she could let go of the pole, she felt a pair of hands around her waist, which lifted her up, and placed her softly onto the ground. Elena turned around to see that it was none other than Gabe who softened her landing. She smiled and pulled him in for a quick thank you kiss, before following Naomi and Mateo off of the ride.
To end their day, the four amigos sat along the sea wall with an ice cream, admiring the view as they enjoyed a refreshing treat. Gabe wrapped his arm around Elena and held her close, as she rested her head on his shoulder. Their conversation was filled with their favorite parts of the day, which would continue on as they walked back towards the carriage. Elena loved each aspect of their day, but she had to admit, what she loved the most was her adorable new jaquin plushie. Oh, and being able to spend a fun and relaxing day with her closest friends, and of course, her Gabe, was pretty nice too.
#eoa ship appreciation week 2021#gabelena#my fics#beach day gabelena!!!!#part of me feels like this is stupid and i’m projecting myself onto elena too much 😔✌🏻#but it’s fine they’re so cute aren’t they??#anyways i hope you all enjoy!!#sorry for the wait!!#better late than never :)#elena of avalor

❝ passion... yeah- we definitely have that in spades. ❞ it's funny in a way, the way this feels so easy, seems so perfectly right even as it is a little crazy from the outside looking in. she's smiling though, really and truly smiling... ricky can't help but just stare at her a while, enjoying the look of genuine happiness he hasn't really seen from her in so long, besides today in that moment she saw him, just before she dropped her bouquet. if it wasn't such a specific moment he could've kissed her right then when she ran into his arms. she says yes though, she says yes despite the fact she almost got married today to someone else. and there's nothing that could make ricky happier. ❝ gosh- i can't believe how connected we've always been, even when we were little kids... i mean there's no one i'd ever envisioned myself marrying besides you. i'm so, so glad you want to marry me too. ❞ his eyes are so soft, and he'd kiss her right now if she weren't driving.
❝ it's unfortunate- that we've been with other people... but yeah- you can assume... that. heather's been a really good friend to me though, beyond anything else, helped me get settled in la- this city's really different from home, but i mean you know that... honestly she's still a good friend of mine. that's what always she was to me, mostly anyway... ❞ he's glad that he has been treated well since nini, but he also hates that he was lucky and she wasn't. he doesn't want her to have to deal with anything like this... ❝ the love of your life... and you're the love of mine, angel. ❞ said as he caresses her cheek, smiling as he feels her lean her head into his gentle touch.
❝ he's never going to drag you down ever again, okay? you're mine... and i'm going to love you until you can really feel loved again. and forever after that too... ❞ he means it so wholeheartedly, and when she tells him about brody's uncle, he just sighs. ❝ well whatever happens... we'll figure it out. i don't need you worrying about him trying to fuck with your album, or your pretty head for that matter. i'm gonna protect your heart again, and i'll do what i can to be here for you. i met with some executives a bit ago, for once we closed the show- to see about getting to work on some music... so once we get back home from vegas i'll have to give them a call. ❞ and maybe once she's out of her label, they'll be able to get her in with what's to be his...
she pulls the car over and he listens to her reply with the warmest of smiles as he undoes his seat belt, turning to look at her properly. they really just want the chance to sit and talk, need the opportunity to be with each other before they keep going... and this beautiful overlook was probably the perfect place. ❝ nini... i'm so happy you're saying yes... i'm genuinely so excited to marry you... can we uh- can we get out of the car? at least for a second... really is too bad we don't have someone to take a picture, it's beautiful out here... ❞ the sun, the mountains... all of it.
the ring's in his pocket, and admittedly, car proposal or not... he wants to at least get to give it to her the way he's always meant to. so at her affirmation, he gets out, going around to open her door and walk her out to the beautiful view. ❝ i know you already said you would- but i think we deserve this kind of moment anyway... ❞ and with that, he gets down on one knee, pulling out the ring box, opening it in front of her. ❝ nina corazon salazar-roberts, my nini... you know i love you more than anything... will you make me the happiest man in the world, and do me the honor of becoming my wife? ❞ he knows it's a yes, but he still wants to give her a real ask, give her the ring, let them have their moment.
❝ don't get me wrong, baby, i think this is pretty on brand for us. a little impulsive, incredibly passionate, jumping in a car to race to vegas together. ❞ she says, lips curling up again into a smile. she was so happy now, and she couldn't remember the last time she felt true happiness. ricky had the power to make everything in the world feel better. she felt so much better now that she'd taken off that stupid dress and the makeup that had been making her face itch. she was ready to spend the next few days with the love of her life, and if he really wanted to marry her, she'd pull up to the first little wedding chapel they came across. ❝ i want to marry you. i've only ever wanted to be married to you. in all the meetings with the planner, i couldn't stop thinking about the wedding binder back at my moms' house and how the first page is a picture of our playground wedding. how you were always the plan... i want to marry you. yes, i will marry you, ricky bowen. ❞ she looks over at him with that soft, sweet expression on her face, and she can't help but feel so much love for the man of her dreams.
❝ alright... that's all i needed to know. i think i can guess what you're implying. ❞ she says softly. she didn't want to think about it, but then, she was positive he didn't want to think about what had gone down in her relationship. they couldn't change the past, though, and it led them back to each other. ❝ was she good to you? took care of my love until we could figure our shit out and find our way back to each other? ❞ all she cared about was that he had been happy. that someone had treated him well. she hadn't had a good relationship after him and she'd be devastated if he had gone through anything similar, if he hadn't been treated well. ❝ i don't feel like i should marry you just because you saved me. i want to marry you because you're the love of my life. my best friend. you always have been. ❞
she leans her head into his touch, the gentle comfort of his touch more than enough to bring her peace. he was her home, through and through. his touch alone could stop her worst thoughts. ❝ yeah... he's really selfish. he doesn't care about anyone else but himself. and you know, that's fine, if he wants to be a dick for the rest of his life, but he can't just take everyone else down with him, you know? and he'd do anything to be the last man standing, so... ❞ she sighs, shaking her head. she really, truly hated him. hated that she'd let him control her, control so many aspects of her life, hated that she ever listened when he said he loved her. it was easy to see now that he never had.
❝ i'm not attached to my label in the slightest. his uncle is the cfo. i'm pretty sure i'll be risking my career trying to jump ship. but maybe they'll just terminate my contract. say i disgraced the label or something by running out of that church. we can hope, right? ❞ she sighs again, and then smiles softly. pulling off the interstate into a parking space along the side of the road, she puts the car into park and shuts it off. she liked that the road from los angeles to vegas had these scenic spots to pull off at. she just wanted to sit for a few minutes and talk to ricky. ❝ there isn't anything i want more than to be your wife, ricky. to be nini bowen. to have both of my names come from you. i'm the one that should be asking if you'll still have me, but if you will, then yes, i will marry you. ❞

suga - the bet
«bet on me just one more time»
I started to go down the school hallways to my locker. I needed to get some books before the classes began. In that moment, the sound of doors opening could be heard. I turned around and saw him.
Min Yoon Gi. One of the most popular boys at our school. He looked so good as always. I sighed. I had a crush on him for years now, but I knew that he was way out of my league.
I decided to stop looking his way, and started walking to my english class. There I found Taehyung, my best friend. We knew each other since we were neighbors, and literally grew up together.
— Hey darling — he said, hugging me.
— Tae — I smiled at him.
After two long hours of english, we finally had a break. Taehyung and I always used to eat together, but today he was going to eat with Young Mi, his crush and soon-to-be girlfriend. At least I hoped for it.
I decided to go outside so I could have a little peace since the cafeteria was filled with students of all ages. Once there, I sat down a tree and closed my eyes, wanting to rest for a bit.
— Are you sleeping? — a deep voice made me open my eyes. The one and only Min Yoon Gi was looking at me. His mint green hair was falling down his face, and his hands were not leaving his pockets, like always.
— Just resting — I said. He chuckled and I couldn't help but smile —. Do you need something? — I know it sounded a little rude, but we never really talked to each other. Sometimes just a little small talk in class but that was all. So it was obvious that he wanted something.
— Actually, yes. I know we haven't really talked yet, but I would really like to change that — wait, was he flirting with me? —. So I wondered if maybe you'd like to do something together after school.
— Ehm, sure, why not? — I said, trying not to sound too excited.
— Awesome — he said with a little smirk —. What about we meet here?
We talked about what we were going to do and then he left. When I found myself in class again, I was super nervous.
— [y/n], what's wrong? — asked Tae.
— Yoongi asked me out on a date — I said with a big smile on my face.
— What? Are you serious? — I nodded.
— We're going to meet after school.
— Look. I know that you're excited and all that, but I don't know if this is a good idea. I just don't have a good feeling about this, so be careful, okay?
— Where are we going? — my eyes were covered by his hands so I couldn't see anything.
— Just wait and see.
It was our third date already. Both dates before that had been amazing, so I had no idea what could be better than that.
Yoongi suddendly stopped, making me almost trip. But to my luck, he was there, making sure I didn't got hurt.
— Are you ready? — I just nodded, and with that he took his hands out of my face so I could see my surroundings.
I gasped at the beautiful view. I could tell that we were on a mountain, and we could see the ocean from here. The sunset lights were painting the waves, making it look like art. I had never seen something so beautiful in my life.
I turned around to look at Yoongi. He was also admiring the view. His hair, now black, was slightly moving due to the wind. I couldn't help myself so I hugged him. I heard him laugh before he hugged me tight.
— Do you like it?
— I love it.
We pulled away and looked into each other's eyes. The wind made my hair go into my face, which made him laugh. I loved to hear him laugh. He placed that hair strain behind my ear and I could feel him looking at my lips.
He started to get closer and closer. I looked at his lips too, and then at his beautiful dark eyes. As his lips finally touched mine, I felt in heaven. His touch was soft and sweet, like sugar.
My hands moved to his neck, and his to my waist, pulling me closer to him. It was my first kiss, and I was happy that it was with him.
It has been a week since my first kiss with Yoongi. We've been hanging up a lot, but I still don't know what we are. Is he now my boyfriend? We didn't made anything official, and that was all I could think about.
I was laying in my bed while looking at the ceiling, with all those thoughts inside my head. Suddenly, I heard someone knocking on my window. I got up quickly, wondering who could it be at that time of the night.
To my surprise Yoongi was there. I opened the window to let him in since it was very cold outside.
— What are you doing here?
— I've been thinking about something and I think it's time we talk about it - was he going to end things between us? I sat down on my bed and he did the same —. I was wondering if maybe you'd like to make this official. You know, this thing that has been going on between us since almost a month.
I wasn't expecting that. He wanted to make things official. I smiled.
— Are you asking me what I think you're doing? — he laughed, a bit nervous. He looked really cute when he was nervous.
— [y/n], would you be my girlfriend? — and there it was. As an answer, I decided to kiss him. I could feel him smile and that made me happy. I was Min Yoon Gi's girlfriend, finally.
Four months has passed since Yoongi asked me to be his girlfriend and I was the happiest girl alive. I loved spending time with him. Damn, I loved him.
We were at our spot, the place where we shared our first kiss. We were doing a little picnic since the weather was really nice. I stared at him.
He was eating a sandwich while looking at the ocean. His black hair looked a little fluffy, and his dark eyes we're shining thanks to the sun. His whole body was covered by the sunset's light, making him look more handsome. If that was possible.
— Why are you staring at me? — I could see him looking at me with a little smile on his face.
— I love you — that was all I could say at that moment. For a second, he looked surprised, but then he stood up and walked in my direction.
As he was in front me, he pulled me closer to him, kissing me passionately. His own and special way of saying "i love you".
I found myself in Yoongi's bedroom. Today would be the first day we sleep together, as in the same bed, and I was pretty nervous about it. Would it happen? I took a deep breath, forgetting about my thoughts.
Yoongi was now on the bathroom, showering. It was a long day of school, and I was still finishing my homework. Frustrated for not getting the math equation right, I ripped the page and threw it on the trash can.
I wanted to try and solve that stupid equation again when something caught my eye. A piece of paper on the trash can with my name on it. I took it out, made sure I could still hear the shower, and started reading.
the bet
victim: [y/n]
steps:
1. take her out on a date √
2. kiss her √
3. ask her to be your girlfriend √
4. get her to say "i love you" √
5. sleep with her
6. break her heart
I couldn't believe my eyes. Was that some sort of joke? Tears started coming out of my eyes.
All this time together, all these six months, had only been a fucking bet. He was using me. I felt so stupid for not noticing earlier. Taehyung was right this whole time.
I saved the note on my backpack, and when I felt Yoongi came out of the bathroom, I fake-called my mom.
— What?! I'll be there as soon as possible — he looked at me confused —. Something bad happened at home, and I need to go, right now. I'm sorry.
— Don't worry babe, they need you there. Should I drive you home? — why did he have to be such a sweetheart?
— No, I'll just walk there, but thanks — I walked to him and kissed him, "for the last time", I thought. I didn't wanted to admit it but I was going to miss him.
Today was the day. The day I will confront Yoongi about the bet. I tried to act normal towards him the whole weekend, but the truth is I was hurting like hell. I spent day and night crying, with a single question on my mind. Why?
But I needed to be strong. Or at least, look like I was strong. I couldn't let him see that I was heartbroken.
— Yoongi — I said, standing in front of him and his friends, ready to tell him off.
— Hey babe — he smiled and tried to kiss me, but i stopped him. He looked confused.
— You don't have to pretend anymore. I already know about the bet — I showed him the piece of paper with the whole steps on it and his eyes widened —. I can't believe you could do that to me. But that's how life is, right? I should've known it was too good to be true — I sighed, holding back my tears. I had to be strong —. Whatever we had, it's over. And I don't want to see you again.
I turned around and walked towards the exit, feeling the tears run down my face. But the saddest part was when he didn't tried to stop me.
Hours had passed since I ended things with Yoongi. I was sitting on the grass while looking at the ocean. It was past midnight, but I didn't care. I looked at the horizont thinking about our first date, our first kiss... Tears kept falling down my face, but I didn't care.
I was madly in love with him and I still couldn't believe that he did that to me. Was our whole relationship a lie? Has it just been an act? I was mad at him for leading me in, for pretending to fall in love with me. But one part of me didn't wanted to believe that it was over.
I layed on the ground, looking at the stars. They looked so bright. I sighed. Why was love so hard?
— [y/n]? — that voice. I sat and turned around to see Yoongi standing there, right in front of me.
— Fuck off.
— Wow, you really are mad — was he stupid? Of course I was mad! —. Please, just listen to me.
— Are you going to tell me that it wasn't a bet? That it was all a stupid joke? — he sat next to me.
— It was a bet — he looked away —, but...
— Spare it, I don't wanna hear it — I interrupted him while I stand up, ready to go. But he saw my intentions and grabbed my arm, not letting me go.
— No! You're not leaving [y/n]! Please, just let me explain... — I could see how his eyes watered and it broke my heart.
— Okay — he let go of my arm, so I put my hands in the pockets of my jacket.
— At first it was just a bet. I didn't wanted to because I thought it was stupid and useless, but the boys forced me to do it. Our first dates were just an act, I'll admit it. But then I got to know you better, and when we kissed... Damn, that kiss changed everything — his cheeks were turning a little red and I found that really cute —. After that, I started to have strong feelings towards you. Everything that happened after that kiss was different. I did all these things because I wanted to, not because of the bet. You have to believe me — he took a deep breath, came closer to me and held my hand in his —. I love you [y/n]. I am crazy in love with you.
I knew that he was being completely honest with me, so I believed him. And I couldn't be mad with him. He was looking at the ground, scared of staring at my eyes. I squeezed his hand softly, making he stare at me.
— I love you too Yoongi — he hugged me with joy. When he pulled away I could see a big smile on his face. He was really cute. I couldn't help myself so I kissed him.
At the end, the bet was worth it. It brought as two together, and I was so thankful to have a person like Yoongi by my side.
