    ❝    it really is beautiful, isn't it? and so are you.    ❞    he says, beaming at her as she kisses their hands together that way.    ❝    i love you. i'm really happy to be here with you.    ❞    ricky shakes his head at her words.    ❝    i really don't want for you to be sorry, my angel. it's a change- all of this is a change. but- i'd do anything to get to be with you. to love you like i do. and the fact you love me... it's worth everything.    ❞    he wants to make sure she always knows. he's here because he wants to be. no matter what they expect of him. he's in love with their princess. so prince he will have to become. he's happy to just walk by her side now, see the museum, the beautiful art from her country. and spend time with his girlfriend.    ❝    well- i love that people will be happy for you to be happy. that's really nice. to know you have their support. especially when i know how important their approval is to you. this is your country, your people... i know how much you care. i've always loved that about you. your heart.    ❞    he could waste time worrying about exes she never loved, but that wasn't worth his time. he loves her. she loves him. and he's the happiest he's ever been to be a part of her world.

he knows she's not here for him. and honestly- it's still a little bit confusing, to be here together. to kiss her again... was kind of a lot. but- he does really, deeply like this girl he's been coupled up with basically since day one. so this is a strange... position to be in, to say the least.    ❝    i know... i mean- you were- you were good for me.    ❞    she almost calls him babe- and it's hard not to be calling her the same kind of things, honestly. something about having her here, looking as amazing as she does, it's bringing up a lot for him he didn't expect.    ❝    i'm sorry...    ❞    ricky says softly, before shaking his head.    ❝    i do love you- you know that, right? that was real?    ❞    he's struggling with this, this falling in love again, with nini... but he knows it doesn't change how he felt before with lily, either.    ❝    but i also- i think i might love her... and that's a little terrifying.    ❞
