Whenever I think of Dot, I think of the softest dork possible.
If we ignore he beats the shit out of his enemies merely due to the fact they're hot men in his eyes, he's one of the most softest characters I've seen.

💙(turquoise, I didn't see it) and/or 💛
I had way too much fun with this AU, maybe I'll come back to it in the future. Find it on Ao3 here 🩵
‘When I said bring me to your dungeon, I was talking about the sexy kind.’ Alex declares as he stops in the stairs. Henry’s in the doorway, Alex thinks he looks smaller than usual, like he’s hunching. It seems unnatural in comparison to his princely posture. Henry bites his lip, looks behind him into the room and then back to Alex. There’s hesitation, Alex wants to pull the words that are threatening to spill from Henry’s lips.
‘Maybe I’ll take you to the sex dungeon later…’ Henry lets out a shallow chuckle, before his tone turns darker.
‘But before I bring you in, you must promise to never speak of this to anyone. Not your sister or parents. Not even Nora, even if she tries to drag it out of you.’
Alex almost trips over a step, his body automatically backing away. His hand grips the railing tightly. He gulps and he swears he can see Henry watching his Adam's apple bob. Henry steps forward and offers his hand with a smile. Alex studies his eyes, there’s something there he doesn’t see very often outside of their sexcapades if he’s honest; excitement. Alex takes the final couple of steps and takes Henry’s hand.
‘Okay, I promise.’
‘Good, you’ll see why I asked in a moment. This way.’
Henry guides Alex through the doorway, it’s pitch black despite the light from the hallway. It’s like there’s something shielding it from getting through when he looks, there’s just a void of dark grey.
‘Just a moment, stand still.’
Henry drops Alex’s hand, and he instantly feels off balance. His breathing quickens, he focuses on the footsteps he prays are Henry’s.
‘You might want to close your eyes for a moment, it will help adjust you to the light.’
Henry’s voice echoes straight into Alex’s ears and he finds himself oddly soothed, as if someone put a blanket around his shoulders. He closes his eyes as instructed
‘And let there be light… Okay, you can open your eyes now.’
When Henry asked if he wanted to see something off the beaten track, less touristy, this is not where Alex saw them going. He opens his eyes to so much colour. The ceilings are draped with chiffon that somehow sparkles without Alex moving, the stone floor seems normal until Alex releases where his feet stand, the stones are in fact glowing. There’s shelves filled to the brim with books, are some of the titles… moving? Like text on a news ticker. On the other side of the long thin room is a wooden table with a camping stove and cabinets that look fit to burst. Alex peers through the glass panels to see jars of varying colours, some of which Alex wasn’t in a rush to find out about. At the end of the room there are targets with lots of tiny holes. Alex turns back to Henry whose shoulders are tensed up as he waits on Alex’s reaction.
‘So this was… this was, um… Yeah, I don’t have words.’
Henry’s eyes flash panic until Alex gives him a big goofy grin. He loosens up as he joins Alex by the table, his hands lean back on it.
‘Gran always thought my mum married beneath her. Dad was a low life actor, a peasant to her essentially. Funny thing is, it was my mum who was marrying into power that wasn’t even in Gran’s wildest daydreams.’
‘So I am connecting the dots right… We’re talking like magic powers? Or is this some elaborate scheme you and Percy have cooked up?’
Henry barks out a laugh which does things to Alex’s tummy. More than normal actually, it feels like he’s soaking in Henry’s happiness. He smiles at Henry, his eyes fluttering a moment. Henry straightens up.
‘Shit, I should have warned you about that. First of all, this isn’t a prank. My dad was a mage. And a rather powerful one at that. Secondly, this room works as an echo chamber for power and well, I seem to be rather gifted when it comes to emotions. At least other people’s emotions.’
Alex thinks of the feeling of calm he got before the lights came on, Henry was looking after him. He takes another spin, gazing around the room before he gathers Henry’s hands in his.
‘Thank you for showing me this, baby.’
‘Thank you for making me feel like I could. It’s been too long.’
They smile at each other and lean in for a chaste kiss. Alex giggles when they back out of it. Henry cocks an eyebrow at him.
‘Well if this is your regular dungeon, I can’t wait to see what the sex dungeon looks like!’
Alex breaks out into laughter, feeling like he’s somewhat high and Henry slaps his chest lightly while rolling his eyes.
‘Such a bloody rascal…’

The Day the Ocean Erupted
Foul Legacy Childe x Reader Gender Neutral (no pronouns mentioned) Angst, Hurt/Comfort Warnings: Allusions to death, drowning, pain, storms, thunder, rain
~ * ~
You remember the day the ocean erupted.
You’d been in your office, at 2 PM exactly, pen in hand and ink spotting your fingers, the culprits a stack of papers in the upper corner. The sun had filtered through your window and casted shining streamers on your desk as you wrote, typical of Liyue’s golden summers. You tapped your pen against your chin- how to phrase this next sentence? Should you focus on one or two types of silk? You hummed contemplatively, then scribbled a few more words. Sturdiness- that was important to mention in a report, especially one about something elegant like silk. The room filled with a comforting silence as you wrote word after word on the paper in the delicate warmth of the sun.
The first drop came and went without attention. But it was soon followed by another. And another. And another, until the sky was shedding all its tears into the streets and ocean of the city. Your pen had fallen from your grasp with a resounding clatter as you stood to peer outside the window, your eyes narrowed. Rain? In Liyue? Now? It was ridiculous.
Then something burst out of the ocean and you fell backwards in shock, pushing yourself away from the window despite being on one of the upper levels of the harbor. You rushed downstairs and pushed your door open, catching glimpses of an enormous serpentine creature rising from the waters as people rushed up and down the streets in a panic. The rain poured down in buckets, drenching everything and everyone, and all around there’s a frenzy of screaming, shouting, yelling, the same phrase reworded a thousand times, The Fatui did this, it’s the Fatui’s fault, the Fatui are to blame, and you could only think of one thing- your associate, your acquaintance, your companion.
Your friend.
Childe. Where was he? Vanished to the Golden House, they told you, but not as Childe, as Tartaglia, the Harbinger. For business, he said.
But soon you were swept up with the waves of screaming, and the thought had been lost.
That was weeks ago, when the Traveler had harnessed the power of the Adepti and defeated the old god Osial, with a final blow from Lady Ningguang’s Jade Chamber to seal him in the sea. The entire nation held its breath as Fatui activity wavered, dropped, then fizzled out completely. Life returned to normal, the seasons rolling by like a sigh of relief as reassuring whispers spread the news that the Fatui were finally, finally stopping their irritating interferences with the harbor.
You finish your final words and set your pen down, a thoughtful frown prominent on your face. You’ve never really been affected by the Fatui. For the most part they simply existed, a rumored plague on the Liyue Qixing with their endless meddling, but to you they were simple guards standing near doors and on the docks. On occasion when you had to wait there you would make conversation, to which most of them would respond to either in earnest or slightly tense surprise. For all their supposed horrid tendencies and practices and nosiness, you had found that many of the Fatui were, quite simply, people; people from a different nation and far away from home. People who had their own interests and likes and dislikes. People who had their own reasons and dreams and realities.
People who had all vanished when the last ripple in the ocean had stilled. And among them, your friend Childe, the Eleventh Harbinger Tartaglia. He was the only Fatui you would really consider a friend, the others being mere acquaintances. He was always teasingly kind to you, offering to get you a meal or asking to spend some offtime together. You, ever-suspicious, had often refused, but he was persistent and determined to chip down your walls one by one. And when they shook and crumbled your friendship had blossomed, despite the odd melancholy in his eyes whenever he looked at you, a question you never knew the answers to.
All this he was. But he was gone now, you suppose, following the tall, elegant woman you had seen exiting the Northland Bank to the mysterious depths of Inazuma. He looked so exhausted, outwardly appearing as tired as you sometimes felt inside, and your brow pinches.
You sigh and set your pen to the side before rising from your chair, cursing yourself for contemplating old memories. You don’t expect Childe to return anytime soon, if ever, so perhaps some thoughts are best left packaged in their pretty boxes scattered around the attic of your mind. The door swings open as you slip on your coat- it’s chilly outside, and you walk to the teashop for a new blend and distraction from the conflicting turmoil in your head.
The rain begins just as you hurry back home, having forgotten your umbrella in a moment of carelessness. Liyue’s winters, while cold and biting, never froze the storms that encroached almost every other day, instead letting icy droplets of slush fall on people’s backs and clothes. The clouds shield the few stars in the sky from view, blocking out the moon and turning the raindrops an inky black. You shove your door open and immediately shut and lock it again with a sigh of relief, shaking out your clothes and rubbing your chilled hands together. Your breathing is the only sound in the house, and your bones soon settle with a deep chill as the pressing quiet seems more and more foreboding. You cock your head to the side and hear an ever-so-faint rustling sound, and you pick up your weapon before making your way down the hall.
When you reach the living room you blink in surprise. Unlike what you expected, nothing is broken, not a dish is out of place, no drawers are flung open and riffled through. Nothing is wrong, nothing is out of order, your limited vision tells you, but a cold breeze sends goosebumps down your arms and you make your way over to the ajar window, very nearly bumping into furniture several times. You fumble with the latch and pull the window shut, dragging the curtain closed as if to cover the rain with elegant patterns and cloth, and for a few moments, you listen to the steady pour outside as it creates a chiming melody on the roof and glass.
Something breathes next to you. You whirl away in shock, clutching your weapon tightly. Something is here with you, watching you across the room, observing your every move as you hurry to light a match for some semblance of sight, the lamps in your house completely useless right now. The match strikes and connects, a yellow flame bursting to life, flickering like a firefly. You hold it up and come face-to-face with a single eye. Enormous and pearly, it gleams softly in the darkness, although whether it is blue or purple you cannot say. Sharp, plated red armor surrounds it, mask-like and curling into twin horns. The creature’s skin is also armored and bony, shades of purple and black with occasional splashes of red or silver, covered by a pair of translucent, sparkling wings like the deepest sea. It towers over you, claws and teeth razor sharp even in the persisting gloom, and you gasp and stumble away in terror. The starry wings and deep, rich colors, and the feeling it emanates, of being crushed and drowned by shining waves…
An Abyssal creature, some sort of monstrous beast from the depths of your world. It must be.
You back away from it, your chest tight with fear and the thought of death, of dying at the hands of this monster, holding your weapon so tightly you fear it might crack in your grip.
You’ve never been a fighter, only practical enough to keep a weapon you could use nearby. Between you and the creature, the creature would win with a simple swipe of its claws, and you would bleed out on the floor until you didn’t exist anymore, just another body lost to the infinite ocean.
But there is no attack, no clashing, no burning, searing pain, only a soft, sad whimper. You open your eyes and see the creature reaching out to you, crawling across the floor like standing causes it agony, as it lets out a broken and desperate wail. You take a step back again, then a step forward, your fear seeping out of you. Holding the match higher, you lean forward and squint, dots of color bleeding into the environment.
Ginger. Wondrously fluffy ginger hair, although it's wet with rainwater, and a single streak of white like snow.
You know who, and you say who before you even think who, uttering out it’s, his, name in a hushed whisper.
Childe.
Your weapon forgotten, you stand shellshocked in a corner of the room, so still and frozen that Childe himself attempts to rise to his feet, only to fall back to the ground with a pained cry, a sound that snaps your thoughts like shattering ice as you rush to support him. He scratches his claws on the ground, hiccupping, sobbing, whining tearfully at a pain you can’t see. You place a hand on the side of his face and he leans into it, almost slumping to the ground as he brings his hand up to cover your own. He stares at you, pained and suffering, with the same melancholy as before, a melancholy you now understand means I cannot love you, even though I so wish to, it is forbidden by fate and stars, and your heart breaks.
You pick up a distant rumble of thunder, and Childe yelps in fear, wrapping his claws around you and pressing his face into your side, trembling. Your fingers stroke through his hair, running down the sides of his face and horns, and his sobs die to labored breathing as exhaustion finally overtakes him and lets his body relax.
You remember the day the ocean poured down from the sky. It was now, in a dark room with a pinprick flame of light, holding the consequences of the Abyss.

Takami Keigo/Hawks: Trail of Red Feathers
The constant findings of a red feather always somehow intrigued your curious mind. It never bothered you, you just never understood how you always ended up finding them. You had even brought it up to your friends just for them to respond with, “Huh. I never see those feathers” or “I think your starting to hallucinate.” After those comments you just kept the findings of the red feathers to yourself.
Your mind trailed back to when you first encountered one. Bright colors always entice you and you could never stop your body from walking towards such a color. So, of course when you first encountered such a bold, bright colored feather you immediately picked it up. The softness of the feather brought such a comforting sensation through your fingers. You just had to rub it a little more. A bright smile surfaced on your lips as you took the feather home with you. Then, not long after you found another one; ever since then every time you found one you kept it and took it home with you.
Unbeknownst to you that a red winged, blonde haired man purposely had been leaving them there for you. It was something about your innocence, your purity that drew him to you; unfortunately, that fascination turned to obsession quickly. He would even follow you during his patrols, you occupied his mind every second and he CRAVED for it. The obsession grew substantially over the past couple of weeks to where he was now planning to keep you away from everything and everyone.
It never went unnoticed how many men looked and ogled you. You never understood the reasoning behind it, but you never said anything because your anxiety would always hit and hindered you from telling the person off. It pissed your admirer off that you never said anything for them to back away, but at the same time he understood just how anxious you got… after all you had to take your medication twice a day. The first one at exactly seven a.m. on the dot and second one twelve hours after. He had your whole schedule memorized, not that you had a routine you just liked to stay home often and avoid any social interaction, besides the walks you forced yourself to go on to get some fresh air and sunlight. He liked that, this gave him the upper hand in thinking you would not want to leave, and you would just want to stay with him.
Today your friends invited you to hang out at a local coffee shop, they were always considerate of your anxiety; but you always felt like a burden, you did not want your friends to hold back on having fun just to include you. You did the bare minimum to get ready; brushing your teeth and hair was a struggle within itself, but you forced yourself to do so. You slipped on some shoes and put a light jacket over your shirt. You stepped out of your apartment and made your way outside a small breeze fanning your face as you took a deep breath and walked your way to the coffee shop.
Halfway to your meeting point you felt it. Someone was watching you; sometimes, you thought you were overreacting, but the eerie feeling became more prominent recently. The thumping in your chest gradually became louder to where that was all you could hear; you bit your bottom lip as you so desperately wanted to go back and seek comfort underneath your blanket. A small sigh escaped your lips and you decided against that, you continued your walk as the feeling of someone watching you never left. You finally approached the coffee shop, but you had the urge to look in the direction from where you thought someone was watching. You looked up to your right but so nothing. Just a couple of strangers walking by you.
Was I hallucinating? No. I couldn’t have been.
As your name was called out your head quickly snapped towards the voice to come face to face with Cameron, her bubbly self suddenly calming you down almost instantly. She was the person you were closest to, and she helped you during your hardest times. Cameron frowned a bit noticing your tense stature. “Hey, _____... you okay?” She asked softly, genuine concern evident in her hazel eyes.
“U-uhm…” you hesitated. You did not want the start of this hang out to be clouded with your own delusions.
“Hey, when you are ready to tell me, I’m here for you!” Cameron gave you a wide smile. Relief pulsed through your blood as she gently too your arm and y’all walked inside the coffee shop.
The aroma of coffee beans immediately tickling your sense of smell. Cameron took a deep inhale as well. “Ughh... I just love the smell of coffee.”
A small giggle left your lips as you silently agreed. Cameron looked over to you with a genuine smile. She wanted nothing more than to see you happy.
After ordering y’all picked the corner table away from the crowd patiently waiting for the order and the rest of the group to show up (which was only three more). As they all slowly showed up one by one; your coffee had already arrived as your index tapped vigorously against the edge of the cup. You steadied your hands as much as you could, bringing the mug slowly up to your lips you took a small sip. The warmth of the coffee and the right amount of sweetness causing you to let out a small hum.
You heard the door chime and a couple of gasps were heard throughout the area. You looked up to see what the commotion was. A blonde-haired man with red wings walked in. You looked over to Cameron who was also in awe; you were so confused. You didn’t know who this was, but everyone else seemed to know. You tugged quietly at Cameron’s sleeve and she turned to you.
“Ah. I forgot you don’t really keep up with this sort of stuff…” she paused as he looked over to y’all. His golden eyes meeting with your eyes, your jaw dropped just a bit. That feeling again, as if someone was watching you.
Why does his presence feel familiar?
You blushed as he smiled at you. You quickly look down and fiddled with your fingers getting a little too anxious.
“He is the number two hero by the way,” Cameron finally finished out. Your eyes widened and you turned to Cameron. She gave you a small smile as you just nodded in understanding. You looked back up at the number two hero and saw how he was bombarded by so many people; yet it’s like he could sense you staring, and he looked your way once more. A small smirk appeared on his face making your face heated once again. You took another sip as you tried to focus in on the conversation your friends were having, but your mind was just focused on him, something about him, his golden eyes, his little smirk, it just edged into your mind.
Two hours had passed, and you were able to engross yourself into the conversation, chatting away about relationships and things of such. A small yawn escaped your mouth and you decided you should probably head home. You stood up to say your goodbyes to everyone and Cameron decided to give you a ride home.
“No excuses, I want to,” Cameron interjected before you could deny. You sighed softly in defeat knowing all too well she would not change her mind. Cameron said her goodbyes to everyone also and y’all left the coffee shop beside each other. Getting in the passenger side of the car the smell of sweet coconut filled your nostrils, Cameron had always kept her car tidy and it somehow always encouraged you to keep apartment clean.
“You know, I would say your anxiety has calmed down. I’m really proud of you,” she comments. A wide smile spreads across your face hearing that comment.
“Really? It’s just recently I’ve felt like I’ve held the group back so much since y’all accommodate to me,” You admit. You felt weight lift off your shoulders as it was finally said. Cameron let out a small hum.
“I can see how you think that, but hun...” She took a small breath, “If we genuinely feel like that than we are not your friends. Your wellbeing is much more important than me going to stupid club to shit faced and have a random hookup,” she finishes. You look down as you fiddled with your fingers.
How do I respond?
“Thanks Cameron, I owe you big time,” You say. Cameron parks on the side right in front of your apartment building.
“You don’t. You literally have been there for me through everything and despite your anxiety you were always able to be calm when I was crying… don’t question your ability in friendship,” Cameron reassured. You gave a small smile and reached over and gave her a huge hug that y’all both needed.
Releasing after a while you gave her a thank you and got out of her car. You watched as she drove off a small smile still portrayed on your face. You turned around walking up the steps to go inside and you stopped. There it was again, the feeling that someone was watching; you couldn’t help yourself you turned to the side and looked around. Your eyes glanced at the bottom of the steps.
A red feather.
You bit your bottom lip as your eyes gleamed with happiness. You happily walked down the steps and picked up the feather. A small chuckle interrupted your thoughts and you jumped in fright. You quickly turned around and met eyes with golden daunting eyes. It was Hawks.
“So, you’re the one who has been picking them up,” He asked.
“I-I’m so sorry, I-I didn’t know…” you stuttered out. You looked down in embarrassment, you heard his footsteps come closer and you could smell his faint cologne.
Do I give it back to him?
“Don’t be, it’s cute,” he admits, Hawks rubs the back of his neck and that is when you noticed blood staining the sleeve of his jacket. A small gasp leaves your mouth and you shyly bring it up.
“Your uhm… your arm… it’s b-bleeding,” You whispered out. He hums in curiosity and looks down at his arm.
“Oh… I didn’t even notice, guess I should probably get that fixed,” Hawks muttered. You didn’t even notice that he was baiting you to even invite him your house, this was exactly going to plan.
“U-uhm, I-I could patch it up for you…” you offered. A smile came across his face.
“You wouldn’t mind?” Hawks asked. You shook your head ‘no’, you walked up the steps as he slowly trailed behind you a malicious smirk playing on his lips. Hawks had every intention of making you his and nothing was going to stop him.
You were so nervous; your palms were sweaty, and your heart was thumping so loudly you thought Hawks could hear. Nervously fiddled with the keys to your apartment and suddenly you felt his chest push against your back as his arms reached across beside you and gently got the keys, “Let me help.”
You released the keys and watched as he got the key in and unlocked your door.
“T-thank you…” you mumbled shyly. Another chuckle escaped past his lips as he enjoyed just how shy you were.
“Anytime sweetheart.”
You walked in as he followed behind you; relief set in you as you remembered you had cleaned yesterday. “U-uhm…. You can take a seat on the couch, let me go get some items so I can help you just a bit.” Hawks happily obliged as he watched you walk away, his eyes setting on your ass. He could not help but want you, you were just so tempting. He took a seat as he scanned your room, he spotted the jar of feathers and smirked. Hawks was so elated all the times he watched you take it into your apartment.
Your hands were fidgety as ever and you did not what to screw up his wound. You gave yourself a mental prep talk before you walked back with the items in your hands. As you walked back you saw him smile at you, but some glint in his eyes were throwing you off, it did not match his smile whatsoever. You cleared your throat and set the items down on the glass coffee table.
“So, I know you know who I am, but can I get your name?” Hawks lied through his teeth like nothing. He knew so much about you that it wasn’t necessary to ask.
“A-ah… I’m so sorry for not even introducing myself,” you answered and gave him your name.
How could I forget to introduce myself? I’ve been collecting his feathers and I could not even give him my name.
“What a beautiful name.” The way your name rolled off his tongue had you a bit speechless. It made your face heat up in embarrassment. You took a seat beside him as you grabbed the alcohol to clean his wound. You go to start but you realize that his jacket still in the way.
“Can you take off your jacket for me?” You asked. It almost felt so provocative to ask such a question. Hawks smiled and took it off and allowed you to continue, “Sorry, this might burn,” You warn softly. As soon as your fingers grasped his wrist, he went tense. Blood was rushing towards his cock, the urge to take you then and there was so tempting. His mind wandered to the most perverse thoughts he did not realize just how much your fingers were shaking around his wrist.
You were so anxious; you bit your lip hard trying to contain your nerves as you continued to clean his wound. You started wrap his bandage as firm and gently as you could. You sighed softly as you finally finished. You stood up and as soon as your fingers released from your wrist Hawks was back to reality. He wanted more of – no, he NEEDED more of your touch.
“Awe… done so soon?” He joked, but deep down he really was not. He needed a way to just get some of the drug into your system. You let out a small laugh starting to feel somewhat comfortable.
“Sorry, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was, so a little bandaging will do,” You explain. You were ready to bid him a goodnight, but before you can his eye glance towards your shelf and a smirk spreads across his lips.
“That looks like an interesting story to tell, I want to hear about it.” You gander towards what he was talking about and saw the jar of feathers. Your eyes widen in embarrassment and you were starting to get anxious.
How am I going to explain this, hm? Nice going. He probably thinks you’re obsessed with him.
“It’s not what it looks like, I swear,” you squeak out. Hawks laughs and raises his hands in surrender.
“I’m not accusing of anything kid; I just want to know how you collected so many.” You sigh in relief as your chest continues to pound in your chest giving you a minor headache. You needed something to alleviate just how anxious you were feeling.
“Sure, would you like some tea or anything before I explain?” You offer.
“I would love some, thanks.” You gave him a small smile and walk over to the kitchen and start heating a small kettle with water. You were trying so hard to keep your nerves down, but it was extremely difficult. Hopefully, with this tea it would calm you down just a bit.
Hawks took in everything that had happened just moments prior to you walking towards the kitchen. Your reactions were everything to him. He wanted so badly to make you his. Make you say the most perverse things.
He wanted to fuck you till you begged him to stop. He wanted tears leaking from your innocent eyes as he showed you no mercy. He wanted his marks, his finger bruises on your skin. He wanted to taint your innocence.
“Here you go,” Your voice cut his thoughts off and he cleared his throat. He grabbed the mug as he needed to calm himself down. “You okay there? You seemed to be lost in thought…” You trailed off. His golden lustful eyes turned to you making you regret asking. He quickly covered it up with a smile.
“Yeah, sorry. My mind wanders sometimes.” You accepted the answer not wanting to question farther. You sat down and took a couple of sips from your tea. The hot liquid soothing your body just a bit. Hawks pointed towards the shelf still wanting the story even though he didn’t need one.
You looked over to the shelf again but tensed up when you noticed something else. The clock.
7:13 pm
You let out a small gasp, “I’m sorry, give me a moment I have to take my medication.” Without letting him reply you quickly make your way over to the medicine cabinet.
How could I forget?!
Hawks watched as you were out of his sight. This was his chance. He quickly grabbed the small little bottle filled with liquid and poured just a little into your tea. He sat back down quickly grabbing his own mug and taking a sip as he smirked to himself. You came back in a panic as you popped the pill and took a sip of your mug to swallow it down.
“Now before we get into the feathers, sorry if I’m overstepping my boundaries, but what is the need for that?” Hawks genuinely questioned.
“Well, I have anxiety, which is pretty obvious, but along anxiety can come depression, and that’s just to help prevent it from getting bad,” you explained. He hummed in understanding; you nervously fiddled with your fingers and decided you needed some of your tea. After taking another drink you go on with your story about the feathers.
“…well somehow they just ended being places where I was at an- “you stopped midway as you started to get extremely dizzy. You saw Hawks as he faked concern slowly standing up. Everything was blurry and you felt your eyelids get heavy. The last thing in your eyesight was Hawks walking over to you.
This was it. This was the time to take you. You were limp in his arms a steady rhythm of your breathing as he looked at you. If he remembered correctly, they said a little could go a long way, so a little drop must be roughly two hours, it would probably take him ten minutes to get to his penthouse. Hawks quickly lifted you up and left your apartment. He needed to move quickly to get you settled in.
Hawks walked out of the building and took you to his place. It was a lavish penthouse. It was a three bedroom with an amazing view of the city. He wanted nothing but the best for you. Flying in from his balcony so he wouldn’t get trampled by fans in the front. Hawks proceeded to walk in, the sound of his boots stepping on the tiled floor being throughout the penthouse. Walking into his room.
The room was painted a dark grey, with minimal picture frames and paintings. A big fan hung from the ceiling as it pushed a breeze evenly throughout the room. The biggest source of light coming from the window that was in the place of the right wall. Hawks gently laid you down on his bed. Looking at you, so cute, so adorable while sleeping. He clicked his tongue debating whether he should handcuff you to the bed or not. Surely you would be too anxious to fight back. Right?
Hawks decided against it and left you to be. He walked over to his bathroom where he took a shower and wanting to get out of his hero costume. A hot shower should relieve some of his stress today. He was so pissed that he couldn’t say hi to you at the coffee shop. It didn’t sit well with him, don’t get him wrong, he loved his fans and the attention, but when the attention wasn’t coming from you, it annoyed him.
He allowed the hot water to soothe some of his tense muscles as he rinsed and washed himself. Unfortunately, being in the water forced him to take off the bandage you so kindly put on him. Oh, how gentle you are, and how sweet you are. He was going to taint you in every single way possible. Then, of course, you stay with him forever so no one could ever see just how erotic you can become, or your tears. Only him could see that.
Stepping out of the shower he dried himself off and put-on pair of gray sweatpants, not even to bother putting on any boxers; he had every intention of stuffing his cock in your tight little cunt.
His thoughts took over as he walked over back to his bedroom. You lied there so defenseless, maybe a taste wouldn’t hurt. He slowly climbed on top of you; his thighs on both sides of your waist, he watched as your chest went up and down at a steady pace, your lips slightly parted as breaths escaped passed your lips. Just a taste. His feather cut through your shirt revealing your stomach and your cleavage. Hawks groaned softly, he slowly leaned down towards your lips, he stopped right before touching them with his own.
“Just a taste Keigo,” he whispered to himself. His lips ever so softly pushed against your lush soft lips. His tongue sliding in as he wanted to get more of a taste, the throbbing sensation in his cock pushing him to go a little further. His hands touched your sides, gently digging in his fingers as he started kissing your jawline. A pinching feeling causing you to slightly stir; Keigo paused, had he gone too far? He couldn’t stop now, he had you. He glided his lips down to your neck as he gave you open mouth kisses, sucking softly, purposely leaving marks. You stir again as you’re slowly gaining consciousness, immediately taking notice of your awareness he goes lower, unbuttoning your jeans and removing them. He continues as he slides your panties to the side and runs his middle finger in between your folds rubbing your slit and slowly rubbing around your clit.
You suddenly gasp at the feeling, your upper body weakly shooting up. “H-hawks what are you do- “
“Shh... just enjoy it baby…” He cuts you off quickly placing gently kisses along your navel. Your eyes fully open and adjust to your surroundings.
Where am I? What happened?
Tears blur your eyes as you start getting anxious. You were in an unknown setting with someone you barely knew; he was also violating your body.
“I’ve waited so long for this moment,” He whispers, the blurriness of your vision only giving you lines of a golden color as you looked to where the voice was coming from. Slightly darker yellow lines appearing as well. Goosebumps rising on your skin, a breeze continuously hitting against your sternum down to your abdomen some places colder than other as if a small amount of a liquid had been put in those areas.
Your hazy mind finally registering what he had said, “W-waited… long…” You whispered out. Your head gets a sharp quick stab as you tried to process what those words meant. Your thinking got cut off short when you felt it. Something was pushed inside of you. You let out a gasp as your fingers moved down to remove it out of you. It wasn’t big, no, it felt a little thicker than a pencil. No. It was a finger. His finger was inside of you. He curled his finger just a little; a small pathetic noise escaping your lips.
“Nng… No,” The word came out so feeble. Your hands trying to pull his arm away. Keigo continued his small torture on your now slippery cunt as he added another finger in causing you to let out a whimper.
“Baby, you’re so wet for me,” Keigo whispered in your ear. You choked back a small sob not being able to form words. He slowly picked up his pace in fingering you; you could faintly hear the small gushing sounds as he continued. Keigo brought his thumb on your bud rubbing it, curling his fingers as you let out a hitched breath. You body craved for more as you could slowly feel a sensation of needing to release grow in the pit of stomach slowly overcoming the small knots that were in there prior.
“Hawk- “
“Keigo, baby. Say my name…” He quickly interjected. It was more of a demand than anything else. You bit your bottom lip in a slight defiance, you couldn’t give him that satisfaction of hearing you say his name; you turned your head away and squeezed your eyes shut. As if picking up what you were doing, he started fingering faster and rubbing your bud quicker. A moan left your lips as you tried to so hard to conceal it. “C’mon baby, moan my name,” He encouraged.
Small pants left your mouth as you felt yourself clenching tighter around his digits that were going and fast pace. You felt two fingers roughly grabbing your chin and forcing you to turn his way. Leaving your eyes closed as you could feel your wet eyelashes touching the skin below your eyes. You heard a small grunt as the pressure on your chin increased greatly.
“Open your fucking eyes,” He demanded. Swallowing slowly, you obliged to be met with almost brighter golden eyes with a fierce lustful look. “Say it.” You felt his fingers pause where they were still in you.
“K-Kiego.” It was barely a whisper, you felt so exposed in an erotic way as his name fell from your lips while looking at him straight in the eyes. He let out a small hum of approval as he continued torturing your cunt with his thick fingers. Another moan falling passed your lips as the need to release was extremely prominent.
“You’re going to cum? Hm? Are you going to cum all over my fingers?” It came out taunting and teasing as he picked up the pace; he removed his fingers that were placed around your chin and placed the palm of his hand on the bed beside your hip. Your hands that were around his other arm gripped tighter as you tried to pull it out.
“N-no, I’m not,” You said in attempt to sound firm, but it came out more uncertain than anything else.
His other hand suddenly went around throat a little too harshly causing a gasp to escape, “Don’t lie. You’re clenching so tight around my fingers,” He said as he brought his face close to yours.
Why did that make me turned on? What the fuck is wrong with me?!
The attack on your clit became more forceful and you let out a small noise as his hand was still around your throat. You couldn’t hold it, his fingers inside you, his thumb on your clit was doing much more stimulation to your body than you could account for. Your hands released from his arms as they both went on either side of you; your fingers entangling into the duvet on the bed. You arched your back a little as you shamefully released your juices onto his fingers. With deep pants you fell limp against the bed as Keigo released his grip from your neck.
A small chuckle left his lips as he brought out his fingers, “My… my…” He tsked, you looked away in embarrassment. You didn’t want him taunting you even more. “My fingers are drenched with your juices,” Keigo whispered in your ear. You were so humiliated you couldn’t even look. He brought his drenched fingers to your lips and unconsciously let out a small gasp. He pushed his fingers into your mouth as his other hand smushed your cheeks forcing you to look at him.
“Suck.”
He’s not serious… no, he is.
Not wanting to do anymore you obediently sucked tasting your juices, the erotic flavor covering your tastebuds.
“Good girl,” Keigo gently praised. Releasing his grip from your cheeks his fingers tickled your body as he started feeling your stomach and even going underneath your bra to tease your nipples. You wanted this sexual torment to end; what made you more embarrassed is that your body was enjoying this. It craved for more of his touch; you hated it.
Keigo removed his fingers from your mouth and silently moved down to where his face was in front of your still soaking pussy. You saw as one of his feathers ripped the fabric of your panties so he could fully take them off.
You quickly trying to squeeze your thighs together to shield his sight from him. He pushes his hands against your thighs causing them to spread.
“Nuh uh uh… I’m going to enjoy this…” He says with an erotic tone as he looks up at you; he licked his lips before bringing his hot mouth on your folds. You let out a small gasp as your back arched up just enough for his tongue to slip through your folds.
“Keigo…” You mumbled. You weren’t exactly sure why you were saying his name.
Am I wanting him to continue? Or to stop?
Your brain battled itself. Keigo let out a soft hum in response to you saying his name. The vibration of his hum hitting your already sensitive bud causing you to jerk a little.
He enjoyed your reactions, and he was determined to make you cum again before he fucked you senseless. Keigo slowly ran his tongue up and down on your dripping cunt enjoying the taste of you. His eyes glanced up as you squirmed, but he his hands on your thighs to hold you from continuing to do so. Your eyes were closed, and your lips slightly parted letting out barely audible breathy moans. Keigo smiled against your cunt as he continued to torture you.
His tongue teasingly swirled around your bud, his fingers digging into your thighs to hold him from going feral. You let out a small whimper and this encourages him to go faster. He puts his whole mouth on your clit and starts sucking.
“K-Keigo.. Nnngh…” you moaned louder. You felt your body wanting to jerk away, but his fingers digging into your thigh not allowing you to do so. Your clit was sensitive after just having cummed all over his fingers. You let out pants as he didn’t bother to stop, in fact he sucked a little harder causing a whimper to escape. Your vision blurred as your tears were threatening to fall from the sensitivity.
Your fingers flung to his hair and grip his blonde locks as you pulled. Keigo let out a deep groan, once again the vibration of the action tingling your cunt.
“Keigo… Please… I can’t,” You begged desperately as a tear rolled down your left cheek. He momentarily pulled and hummed as if thinking if he should stop or not.
He looked up at you and was just turned on more of your state: your flushed face, your eyebrows knitted inward, your watery eyes, your lips parted, your visible cleavage heaving up and down with each pant you took.
Keigo smirked at you, “You can and will.”
You let out a pathetic squeak as his mouth went back on your cunt. His tongue now teasing your tight hole. He greedily sucked up all your juices, his tongue poking at your hole wanting more. He glided his tongue back upwards licking your bud. Your weak moans echoing through the room as he continued to suck and lick at your cunt.
Oddly enough another sensation of the need to release was coming despite how sensitive you were. Your fingers could barely stay entangled in his hair as your physical strength (or at least the little strength you had to work with) was leaving you. More tears leaked from your eyes they rolled down your flushed cheeks as the sensitivity was increasing.
Keigo had no way slowed or gone any softer, the sound of smacking and gushing sounds filled your ears as your orgasm was close. Your inner thighs felt sore knowing all too well that Keigo had created finger bruises in those areas with how hard he was digging into your skin.
You let out a small yell of pleasure as your back arched, bucking your hips into Keigo’s mouth as you released another wave of juices. He sucked every single last drop you’d given him. A couple more tears escaped as you once again slumped back onto the bed. Keigo stood up away from you and off the bed. You rolled over in relief that it was over.
You heard him shuffle around a little bit before you felt the bed slightly dip. Keigo’s hand snaked under your waist as he pulled you up. You weren’t exactly cooperating, but he knew that you most likely wouldn’t. He suddenly brought you all the way up to where your back was against his chest.
You felt it. It twitched against your back. Your eyes went wide and your hands blindly behind you, “NO! Keigo,” you warned. He let out a small chuckle before pushing you down into the bed. He pulled your abdomen up and his fingers pushing you on area forcing you to arch your back.
You felt his tip tease you at your entrance. Your head shot up and before you could say anything, he shushed you.
“I promise I’ll put it in slow,” Keigo promised. He leaned over to where his breath was fanning your earlobe, “I’ll put it in inch by inch, and we’ll count together.” It wasn’t even a suggestion and you knew that.
He pushed just the head of his cock into you as you let out a loud gasp. The length wasn’t what scared you anymore, the girth of his cock was going to stretch you to the max.
“Keigo… your girth... It won’t fit,” You rambled. You did not want to endure this. He ignored you as he pushed another inch in you. Your fingers curled into the duvet. Keigo let out a small hum if approval of how well you’re taking him despite how tight you are.
“I do believe that is two baby… so repeat the number.”
“T-two.” You were breathing hard as you the pain wasn’t exactly subsiding quite yet. Keigo pushed another inch you and your breath hitched, the girth on this man was unbelievable. You momentarily felt bad for anyone that had engaged into sex with Keigo. Your thoughts were interrupted as a stinging sensation was left on your ass; you let out a yelp in surprise.
“C’mon sweetie, you can count. How many is that?” He stated he softly pinched your hip softly.
“Three.” As soon as the word fell from your lips, he pushed another inch in causing a mewl to fall from your lips. You heard him as he took a sharp breath in.
“Jesus, you’re so fucking tight,” Keigo groaned out. You bit your lip refusing to respond to that comment. He slapped your ass again and you let out a whimper.
“Four.” You knew why he spanked you. He wanted you to count and the fact that it didn’t feel like his voice was getting any closer scared you. You unconsciously clenched around his cock and he dug his fingers into your hips. Keigo pushed another inch into you and squeezed your eyes shut.
“K-Keigo. I can’t. Please. You’re too big…” You pleaded him.
He clicked his tongue as he responded, “Baby, you’re barely halfway,” he casually commented.
HALFWAY?!
“H-HALFWAY!? KEIGO THERE IS NO WAY I CAN TAKE ALL OF YOU!” You cried out in desperation.
He is ten fucking inches… How does he expect any person to take his length?
“Sweetie, that’s why I’ve been going slow, so you can adjust. Just try to take two more inches…” He compromised.
You felt grateful that he was at least compromising a little. As you battled whether to agree or not Keigo pushed all the way in and you heard as his waist hit against your ass. You let out a scream as the pain was increased to a maximum. You felt him extremely deep. He suddenly brought you up against his chests as he leaned his head down kissing your neck.
“Oops…” He mumbled not sorry at all. You knew he wasn’t sorry.
“You’re not sorry Keigo, you fucking son of a bi- “His hand slapped over your mouth quickly to shut you up. He held it firmly as he gently rocked against you slowly. The first couple thrusts were gentle to get you adjusted to his size, but then they became rough and hard. You moaned against his hand as he picked up the pace.
“You love it, don’t you? Hm? My cock is covered in your juices which lead me to believe you love being stuffed with my cock,” Keigo comments. Such vulgar words being said out loud caused your face to heat up. His hand uncovers your mouth, and he pushes you down into the mattress with your ass up.
Keigo starts violently thrusting into you at a fast pace. Pitiful mewls fall from your lips as he continues to do so.
“Who do you belong to?” He questioned harshly as he rammed into you again causing a small cry to come out of you. Keigo twisting his hand into your hair and pulling on it causes your head to jolt back.
“Who... do… you… fucking… belong… to…” He gritted out in between pants.
“You.” He continues to impale on you as he wanted to hear his name fall from your lips.
“That’s right baby… Now repeat the whole thing with my name,” Keigo demanded. His hand tugged on your hair harshly as you let out a whimper.
“I belong to you, Keigo,” you mumbled out, tears on the brink of spilling out from your eyes. Keigo hummed as his grip on you didn’t loosen.
“Louder baby, I can’t hear you,” he teased. You swallowed your humiliation as you took a deep breath.
“I belong to you, Keigo.”
“Good girl,” Keigo verbally applauded as he released his grip on your hair. Keigo thrusted in and out at a steady pace. He would go all the way in which caused you to clench around his cock. Keigo leaned over not stopping his pace. Tears fell from your eyes and he groaned as you felt his cock twitch inside of you.
“Your tears turn me on so much more…” Keigo rasped out as he wrapped his hand around throat. He turned your head slightly as he licked off your tears as they continued to flow. Pants escaped his mouth as he picked up his pace, “I’m going to cum in you.”
“NO! You better not,” You quickly interjected. Keigo simply removed his hand from your throat and pushed your face down into the bed in response. His hands gripped around your hips as grunts left his mouth. You continued to moan into the bed as you finally realized that it had become pleasurable. His fingers digging once again into your hips just adding to the pleasure your body was feeling. He rubbed your now swollen bud causing you to cry out and clench around your cock.
Keigo groaned loudly before ramming into you releasing his seed into you. “Fuckkkk…” He rasped out as he thrusted a couple more times before pulling out.
You felt his hot semen come out and drip down your clit as you raised your head panting out. Your fingers were shaking tremendously and so were your legs. You rolled over on to your back and closed your eyes already going into a slumber; unfortunately, Keigo had other plans as his feather tickled your collarbone and suddenly cut the fabric your bra. The flimsy material exposed your nipples to him as the bra became extremely loose.
Your eyes shot open only to be met with his eyes extremely close, he dominated you in a deep kiss as his fingers played with your nipples. Twisting them, pinching them. You whimpered into his mouth as you were already exhausted from the last round. Keigo removed his lips from yours as he went down and took on of your hard, perky nipples into his mouth. Keigo sucked on it, biting down softly causing to jerk. You let out a small whine as your hands weakly pushed on his shoulders.
“Keigo, please. No more. I’m begging you,” Your voice came out so frail. He brought his face up and looked at you.
“God, baby... You’re so fucking gorgeous. Look how defenseless and exhausted you look…” Keigo smirked as he came closer and he lined his cock at your throbbing entrance, “Having you at my mercy, begging me to stop…” you felt his cock twitch and he pushed his head into your cum filled cunt. You let out a small cry, “It’s honestly so sexy… Nothing turns me on more than you begging and crying underneath me,” Keigo finished.
Your blood ran cold, you realized just how deranged and sick minded this number two hero was.
Keigo fully pushed himself in you and a guttural moan leaving his lips, “Look at that, you take my cock so good, baby.” The comment made you tense up, he was suddenly face to face with you and his hand went around your throat again, “I’m going to make you cry, beg, and sob.”
Your hands flew up to his chest, “Keigo, please don’t.” He smirked at you, his hands tightening around your throat causing an involuntary gasp escape.
“Begging already?” Keigo taunted as he started thrusting. At this point you just let whimpers come out, it was no use holding back anymore. “You’re such a good girl for me,” He breathed out in between pants.
This man was praising and degrading you at the same time and it made you wet. Keigo impales a little more harshly as you let out a small cry. He starts using his other hand to rub your clit and you immediately squirm.
“Look at that, still extremely sensitive,” Keigo commented as he released his grip from your throat and placed his hand on the side of you. You desperately wanted him to stop tormenting your clit, at this rate you would cry.
The sound of skin meeting skin, the sloppy gushy rhythm echoed throughout the room as you tried to think of a way to get him to stop.
Maybe I cou-
A harsh bite down on your neck caused you to scream. Liquid stung your eyes as you were forced to focus back on Keigo torturing your clit.
“Ah there we go, you’re back,” Keigo huskily whispered against your neck. Shivers ran down your spine and he continued to softly bite on random parts of your upper body. “There you go baby, focus on my cock filling your cunt up.” He brought himself eye to eye with you, “That’s all you can focus on… Like the little whore you are.”
A sudden flame ignited in you as you brought your hand down in attempt to slap him, but you caught your wrist just in the nick of time.
A low chuckle chilled you to the bone, “I knew you had some fire; it just takes a lot to ignite it,” He stated as if it were a fact. Keigo grabbed both of your wrists and pinned them down with one of his hands. You squirmed beneath him and he gave you a harsh thrust.
“Did it ever occur to you that you were the only one finding the red feathers?” Keigo questioned as he this time softly rocked against your hips. You looked in away in embarrassment, you knew you were the only one finding them, but it didn’t occur to you in a negative way.
“It’s been what?... two months now,” Keigo commented, with his other hand he used his fingers to rub your bud.
“Nnnghh…” Petty little moans escaped from your mouth as he rocked against your hips and rubbed your clit.
“Surely, you’re smarter than that, right?” He questioned in a mocking tone. His golden eyes staring into your own with a sly glint in them. “No… You’re just absolutely fucking naïve and innocent.” The last two words coming out harshly as he mercilessly ravaged your little cunt.
“Fuck… K-Keigo… Ngh...” You blabbered out as a few tears slip out your eyes. Keigo wastes no time in licking them up; He starts making circular motions with two of his fingers on your delicate clit. You clenched around his cock as you felt another orgasm approaching. Your wrists trying to escape a way out of Keigo’s grip.
You had no physical strength, it was gone. He was right. You are naïve.
“Two fucking months,” Keigo gritted out. The smacking of his waist hitting your most inner thighs leaving a faint stinging tingle. Your orgasm was right there, on the edge.
“K-Keigo, I’m going to c-cu- “You moaned out and he rubbed against your bud faster. You let out a loud cry as he continued thrusting through your orgasm.
He wasn’t far behind, in fact, the clenching of your cunt around him as you released was all he needed to cum. He released again all inside of you as you went limp underneath him. Little sweat beads trailing down his forehead as he rocked against you three more times to finish out his high.
Keigo removed himself from you and you weakly sat up, your eyes barely able to stay open.
“P-please no more… I’m begging you; my body can’t do it…” You whispered out. He brought you close and gave you a gentle kiss.
“I know. That’s enough for tonight… I’ll clean you up and then we can get some rest,” Keigo stated. He lovingly trailed his finger down your cheek already seeing your eyelids close.
“You’re mine forever.”
And you were all his forever because of a trail of red feathers.

what happened to mc after that?? JUNGKOOK I WILL WHOOP YO FUCKING ASS
cold senior!y/n x stem major!koo masterlist :D
the aftermath of stem koo breaking senior!y/n's heart
"do you need anything from us?"
yoongi asks you for the fifth time in the twenty minutes you've been home, heart breaking from the inside out when you haven't moved a single inch
he is begging that the thing you need from him and jin is to go beat j*ngkook up
HE CAN'T EVEN SAY HIS NAME WITHOUT BEING ANGRY AT HIM!!!!!!!
anything. anything to atleast make you sleep in peace tonight.
or them honestly,, either way
your body's facing the backrest of the couch and maybe that's for the better, because that way, seokjin won't feel the need to cry looking at the coldest person he's known to be openly vulnerable
you're still wearing your jersey!!! your stained dirty jersey that you've been in for the past three hours and the reason that it's still wet was that you've been using it to wipe your tears all the way to the dorm
"no. i'll be alright."
you mumble for the fifth time out of the five times you've been asked, and yoongi just has to grapple at his fist because he knows that being frustrated wouldn't help
you are the fURTHEST thing from okay
to be honest, it was only a miracle that you told the two of them what happened in the first place
it was in between sobs that you asked them why they were friends with you and they couldn't be anymore dumbfounded
it was in between violent tears that you mentioned hyeji that seokjin looked for a box of tissues because you've been intentionally rubbing your eyes raw
it was in between heaving that you said that no one wants to go the extra mile for me that yoongi started holding your cheeks and trying to get you to breathe with him in his panic too
it was in between hiccups that you uttered that no one wants to walk me home and that's when both of yoongi's and seokjin's throats started tightening, the dots hazy yet aligning nonetheless
it was in silence when you told that jungkook said that no one likes me, and that's when out of the three of you in the room – you're the one who's the calmest.
"okay. i'll bring you a blanket."
yoongi leaves it at that, standing from his spot on the floor to walk over to the kitchen where the blankets cLEARLY aren't there
no one really prepared yoongs for this
no one really is
there isn't a manual on how to act when the dearest friend that you have is crying their guts out for the first time
he can't explain his close bond with you and he's always seen you as his platonic girlfriend!!! his platonic girlfriend who has a bond with him that's closer than a sister's, more understanding than a mother's, and the utter admiration more than a friend's
you r literally yoongi's (platonic) soulmate and he would die on that hill
he would rather subject himself to torture via having to stay in a freshman's dorm equipped with the de facto led strip lights everyday!!! every single day, than to see you like this :(((
"what do you have on the bitch?" yoongi doesn't spare his words when he sits on the kitchen stool next to jin's figure
the dude is sTANDING and that means business
jin doesn't feel a single ounce of regret fetching his work laptop and scrolling through the files and tabs he has on every single student on campus, eyes only looking for one lee hyeji that's contributed to your anguish rn
jungkook is atleast 3/4 in this equation and seokjin will get to him of course
no one makes his emotional support best friend cry and nOT pay the consequences for it!!!!
in another life, vincenzo cassano's character is based on seokjin and the events in his life that definitely happened >:(
"she's daddy's money. can't fucking believe that sHE'S representing the school," he sighs in genuine annoyance, but not loud enough to pique your attention as he turns the screen so yoongi could clearly see her headshots, "must be a diversity hire. every university needs a fucking bimbo, apparently."
you see,,, yoongi would've SNORTED at that but now is not the time!!! he is still planning discreet retribution to avenge you!!!!
jin lets yoongi look at hyeji's entire file, wanting to get even the smallest bits even if the information he's taking in is against his will
he'll immediately delete whatever he learns about her right after it's served its purpose
"just messaged the faculty groupchat," seokjin himself didn't imagine the words coming out from his lips determinedly, but he knows that he's willing to do anything for the sake of this, "been crushing on jeon ever since the start of last semester. philosophy professor thinks it's because he once saw jungkook lending her a pen when they were in the topic of soulmates."
jesus christ
now THAT'S just annoying ://
this
whatever this is
seokjin and yoongi don't know what they're digging all this information for
they don't know what this unspoken plan is for, or if they even have a plan in the first place
if jin were to tell the faculty gc about this???
absolute mayhem
but he knows for a fact that they'd hate star student jungkook easily within a tap of a finger
the philosophy prof would lose all sense of rationality and reasoning and INSTANTLY point to jungkook as an asshole!!! no questions asked!!!! no elaborations!!!!
"i could get jeon eliminated from all the academic listings he's in."
jin pipes in at the silence that he and yoongi share, both listless in this situation that they never expected to encounter with you
"i could always spread a rumor and make him unlikeable."
yoongi toys with the rings that he wears, a heavy exhale tearing away from him
they could think of a thousand other ways to get back at jungkook!!! they literally can
seokjin knows a contract guy who leaves shredded paper with his contract's initials written on red ink (for a base fee of three dollars, he can switch up the ink for you!!!) right next to their side on the bed
yoongi knows a guy whose modus operandi is to discreetly follow people, have subliminals playing in the background (for an extra fee of ten dollars, he'll use wireless bass-boosted speakers), and continue doing so until the desired message is achieved!!!!
none of the people they have connections to could employ the same amount of pain he's caused on you
there's literally nothing that could hit home with jungkook besides you.
but there's no way to do that and even in your state of anger and sadness tHEN utter vulnerability, you can't even really think of hurting jungkook in the way he did
because you know and yoongi knows and seokjin knows and everyone knows that you aren't the type to wish ill
you admit that sometimes you're unavailable but you don't want that to be an asshole-reason to make everyone else around you suffer in the same way you do
the people around you aren't your shock absorbers!!!! that's why you hang out a teddy bear on your doorknob when you're mad so that neither yoongi or jin would have the possibility to be caught in your rage
that's why you call for a break when your soccer team is out of their game and make everyone drink their electrolytes before they speak to you!!!!
that's why you have the old heart of your even older build-a-bear stuffie in your pocket, one of the only reminders that your childhood even happened, one that you'd squeeze between your fingers in any remotely anxious instances that you find yourself in
jungkook's words hit home and it put you into a spiral if you even had one in the first place
your parents divorced when you were young and it's just that,,, no one from the two of them wanted you because you were the reminder of the other parent
you're a place marker for when a commitment started and ended and god did it make you grow up quickly
your aunt raised you!!!! she's an angel and she's the maternal figure in your life that you'd always be grateful for
you love her all the same and as much as you didn't wanna relate yourself to your parents in the same way that they don't, the feelings of being unliked hit you ever so often
lol it's quite a dashing mindset you have but you can't see any other interpretation you should employ
you leave before they could leave you.
it's not really as dramatic as it sounds
BUT IT COULD BE
there's always obligatory groupchats for projects and you're the first one to leave it instead of awkwardly waiting out for the conversation to dwindle and then leave one by one
when you and yoongi argue, you leave before he attempts to get the last word in
when jin is about to ask if you want to split the bill, you're already putting more than half of your share on the table
it's a nagging feeling of not wanting be unwanted in every situation you're in, but you aren't all that sure of wHAT you'd do to be liked
the only thing you could think of are lunchboxes, and even that gets taken away from you.
does no one really like you??
you're shifting in your position before you know it and the lone sound makes jin and yoongs come to your side immediately, looking at you in concern
you're looking up and you could just fEEL your eyes are puffy and even the light's hurting them
"i need to sleep."
"o-oh! m'kay, sure. i'll carry you to bed, let's go," seokjin wastes no time in responding, about to hook his arms underneath you when you repeat yourself again
you only chuckle but it's the driest and most painful they've ever heard, wincing when they can hear how breathless it was
"no. i mean i need to sleep."
jin blinks once
yoongi blinks twice
OH

jungkook's been pacing on his heels, his knocking loud enough to wake up the entire hallway at this point
he's SWEATING and he's not even wearing his hoodie
the door finally opens and the words start tumbling out of his mouth
"good evening. i-i wanna explain myself and-..."
that is not,,,,, you
it's his senior that he's disrespected probably too many times
yoongi leans to the door, a sickeningly sweet smile on his face that the junior's never seen before
"you ever had a sandwich before, jungkook?"
"w-what?"
the younger boy stammers, his eyes following yoongi's actions of looking behind him out of worry and then going outside to join him by closing the door softly without noise
yoongi only snorts, not even sure if he's up for conversation
"hyeji's never packed you a sandwich before?"
jungkook pales at the mention, mouth drying when he sees yoongi bring up the soft smile that doesn't comfort him at all
"the one that's all knuckle?"

-
“It’s cold,” you say and Sakusa’s quick to wrap his scarf around your neck.
Each time he does, you consider it as a win. Sakusa was never one to particularly prefer excessive public displays of affection, but more often times than he’d like, you always manage to catch him in moments he was feeling a little more relaxed.
Autumn, Sakusa thinks just may be his most favorite season by far. Something about the chill in the air, slightly emptier streets, and the changing colors of the leaves did just the trick to make the lengthy walks from school to train station a little more bearable.
And of course, Sakusa smiles, another reason was you.
“It’s cold,” you’d tell him time and time again, especially during the final weeks of November where the last few leaves were threatening to fall as winter slowly rolled around. He knew you kept your own scarf tucked deep inside your school bag, under the notebooks where you scrawl some notes from the board in the margins at best, and beside the empty bento box that you always share with him during lunch.
But despite that, he’d only sigh before looping the dark green scarf he washes multiple times a week snug around your neck.
“You really need to start bringing your scarf,” he’d tell you, adding some comments as an afterthought that sounded more muffled under his mask, but you’d only beam at him in response.
You know he never minded.
And you’re glad he doesn’t—because after school walks with Sakusa Kiyoomi in the late autumn, who also happened to be your first friend and your first love, was your favorite perk in the season.
Sakusa, who you’ve known for most of your life. The kid from down the block who chose to walk around the rain puddles when everyone else around his age—at the time—only sought to hop straight into them.
“Why don’t you play in the rain puddles?” you remember yourself asking, opting to stand across him from the other side of the puddle as you watched him furrow his brows together and step away from the edge where water met concrete.
“I don’t want my grandma to spend extra time cleaning my rain boots,” was his reply, and you can still—to this day—recall the determined look on Sakusa Kiyoomi’s eight year old face as nodded his head at his own answer and moved even further away from the puddle.
The two little moles above his eyebrow looked like the connect the dots, well, dots, from your activity book back home and it was then that you decided to make it your mission to befriend the cautious boy who avoided puddles because he loved his grandmother.
And it worked, you suppose, because more than ten years down the road, instead of walking around the puddles on the pavement, you spend your afternoons either watching him spike through blocks after school, or like now—tell him that you’re cold, when in truth all you wanted to do was just be warm in his warmth.
“Did you change the fabric softener?” you ask him, smelling something like peaches and cream instead of his usual scent of fresh linen.
“I did,” Sakusa hums. “Do you not like it?” he asks, but doesn’t really face you. He faces forward and watches for the pedestrian light to flicker back to green, so he watches the number count down as he waits for your response to his question.
“I like it,” you smile, pushing the fabric up against your face as you hide your smile behind the scent of peaches.
“Ah, that’s good to know,” Sakusa replies, almost immediately. He thinks about the crinkled receipt from your favorite boutique at the mall sitting between the pages of his textbook and decides that going through the awkward conversation with the salesladies gushing about how sweet of a boyfriend he is, was completely worth it.
But more so, he’s almost glad that like the receipt you didn’t see—you also don’t notice the way he’s already smiling under the mask.
-
“It’s cold,” you tell him almost seven years later, the smile on your face still as teasing as before, as you wait for him to open his arms for an embrace this time instead of just the scarf from before.
Peaches, Sakusa thinks. Your hair still smells like peaches after all these years. On the other hand, he can’t really bring himself to mind; he thinks he’s come around to realize that peaches are his favorite flavor now.
“When are you not cold?” Sakusa comments, the tone of his voice sounding a little clipped, but you only laugh in return. Despite the bark in his voice, he tightens his arms around you as you glance up, peeking at him huffing clouds into the winter air.
“What time’s the bus coming?” you ask, breaking away from him and opting to hug him from the side instead. He still feels warm, so you smile and press your cheek against the sleeve of his jacket.
“In about ten minutes,” he answers. “Could be a while though, if there’s a lot coming on and off depending on the stop.”
“Wanna wait inside the café?” he suggests, motioning towards the one right across the street.
You shake your head, letting go of his arm and wrapping your hands around his midriff instead, saying, “I’m warm right now so it’s okay.”
Beneath his mask, he smiles—and looking at him, this time you could tell. You’ve been with him long enough to notice the way the corners of his eyes crinkle every time he smiles.
Sakusa realizes he likes looking at you like that, and the moments he shares with you after every time you say you’re cold are quick to become his favorite.
You, with your sheepish smiles, fruit themed keychains, and love for the autumn weather.
He smiles, watching you as you take the seat closest to the window first before quickly wiping the seat he’s meant to take with the disinfectant wipes you keep in your bag.
“Thanks,” he murmurs, feeling his heart warm even more when you smile at him.
For him, it’s not the way you remember the little things about him, but rather, it’s the unspoken way you go on about it. The almost natural flow you pulled him into, that he just knows you outlined with nothing but consideration.
You liked jumping straight for the puddles, but he preferred watching you smile with his rain boots dry. He knew you preferred to drink your coffee with a little more cream and sugar than he did, and even if he didn’t mind sweeter drinks from time to time—he always appreciates you asking how much cream and sugar he’d like for his regardless.
And it worked the same for you, you realize.
In silence, you notice how Sakusa always spends a second longer to look at you every time you pull out the wipes you keep in your bag just for him, and feel your heart warm when he laces your hand together afterwards.
You knew well enough that he preferred to keep his hands to himself, but the exceptions he makes for you were always appreciated on your end.
“I know I can be a little much sometimes,” he told you once, some years ago, when you were at the stage in your relationship where it felt safe to be with each other in complete vulnerability.
“I don’t mind,” you told him, because the truth was you really didn’t—and still don’t—mind. “You’re just a little more cautious than some, and that’s okay.”
“You being a little more on the cautious side isn’t all there is to you, Omi,” was the last thing you said as you cupped his face in between your hands.
And to this day, you don’t forget the way his eyes soften with the thanks he whispers as he turns his head and kisses you on the palm of your hand that night.
“We should make something for dinner tonight instead of eating out,” you quip next to him. You watch the people on the streets walk when the bus slows, and blur when it picks up momentum again. You hold Sakusa’s hand in between yours, absentmindedly playing with his fingers and the sleeve of his coat.
“Sounds good,” you hear him answer, before adding, “do we need to stop by the grocery store?”
You think about it, your eyes focusing on the child outside your window, lollipop in hand and a Totoro backpack behind him, as you mentally go over what you remembered what you saw in your refrigerator that morning.
“I think we’re all good,” you say. “But we can pick up some fruit for dessert?”
Sakusa doesn’t really think about it; he just nods. He could always go for some peaches, he supposes.
When the scenery outside begins to blur again, you turn to face his hand outstretched on your lap and begin to lightly scratch his open palm, then slyly look to the side where he’s facing you, watching for a change in his expression.
There isn’t one; if anything, he stares at you with his brow raised.
“Does it not tickle?” you huff, holding his palm open and tracing over the middle with the tip of your nails instead.
“No,” he answers and you huff, pursing your lips before you ultimately decide to just lace your fingers through his instead. Sakusa squeezes your hand when you slot yours on top of his, and you turn to him, smiling.
“Love you,” you say, and even if you do so out of the blue, Sakusa chooses to smile. With his other hand, he pulls his mask down and leans towards you to press a kiss on your cheek, noticing how the skin’s a little cold compared to his lips.
“Love you too,” he murmurs and when you turn to him and give him another smile—the one that’s wide enough for him to make out the crinkling lines on the corners of your eyes, an epiphany strikes him.
He loves you.
Sakusa’s struck with the epiphany that he’s never been more in love with you than how he feels in this very moment.
But he realizes a second later, that he’s had this thought before too.
Yesterday, when he woke up before you and the alarm and spent the seven minutes before 07:30 admiring how beautiful you looked with the spilled light highlighting the plains of your face. Last month, when he came home early from practice and watched you slightly dance off beat in the kitchen to the tune of a song he recalls you singing in the shower that same morning. Seven years ago, when he noticed you always packing an extra pair of chopsticks and pieces of fruit in your bento box for you to share with him during lunch.
Sakusa Kiyoomi realizes that even if the two of you were nothing short of being the personification of oil and water, as time moves forward, he only spends the twenty four hours of his day unearthing moments with you where he feels his heart so full that it seems like he can’t love you any more than he does in the moment.
Looking down at your hands where your left is intertwined with his right, he smiles. Sakusa thinks of the ring he remembers you commenting was pretty when you were at the mall a few weeks ago. He imagines how your hand would look with the ring he knows he’ll buy for you.
Then when you squeeze his hand, briefly turning at him with a smile as you point at the child outside with raccoon-themed backpack, Sakusa feels a familiar warmth flood his chest as his eyes zeroes in on you as he feels himself smile.
He wonders if the smile you have now would look the same when you see the ring he’ll hold out for you when he does so with one knee on the ground.
And even if the ground were to have puddles that day, he supposes it would be worth it.
-
It’s three years later, after a breathless “yes,” tearful “I do,” and keys to your first house where he hears you say “It’s too cold,” again.
It’s the middle of the winter when you walk out the door, meaning to stop by the convenience store nearby when you make it outside the gate of your home and see a child standing outside with a dull gray backpack and while he wears a too thin cardigan.
Sakusa sets his cup down, looks at you frantically calling him to come to the door, and grabs his coat and scarf as he makes his way to you.
When he walks out of the door and makes it in front of the gate, he sees you, squatting a little awkwardly in front of the child—who doesn’t look to be more than the age of even five— stare at you with the grey backpack pressed to his chest and a slight tremble to his form.
He recognizes the look on your face—and he knows that right at this moment your heart is already clenching.
“Where’s your mama?” you ask with a voice as gentle as your approach, and Sakusa decides to sit this one out as he stands behind you instead, leaning against the opened corner of the gate.
“She said I have to stay here,” he murmurs quietly, and when his body trembles again, Sakusa feels his fingers itch to wrap the scarf around him. You’re right—it is too cold for a child to be out in a weather like this.
“Did she go somewhere? What about your papa?” you ask again, deciding to maintain your distance when the child in front of you begins to sniffle and tear up.
“I don’t have a papa,” he whispers, then sniffles again. “But I have a mama and she said she’ll be back so I’ll stay right here!” he finishes, puffing his cheeks in what you think is an attempt to keep the tears together.
You look at Sakusa, who stares at you looking equally unsure with what to do with the situation, but when he notices that you’re at a point where you’re at a loss of words, he chimes in for you. “How long have you been out here?”
Smiling, you shift to the side and listen as Sakusa’s voice softens when he addresses the child again. He’d make a great father, you think.
“Here since…” the child trails off, then looks up when he remembers something. “—since after breakfast!”
Your brows furrow, and when you look at Sakusa, you notice that his expression mirrors yours. “Breakfast?” you hear Sakusa repeat, then look at the watch on your wrist. “It’s already five pm.”
“Have you eaten at all?” Sakusa instead asks him, and your heart can only squeeze again when he shakes his head no.
“You said your mama just went to the convenience store, right? I’m on my way to go there so if I see someone maybe it’s her,” you say and the boy finally looks at you like he isn’t scared.
“Can you tell me your name? So she can recognize who I’m talking about,” you ask him again and he nods his head slowly before replying, “Arai Kazue,” with a small bow afterwards.
You smile; he’s still polite despite being scared.
“Do you wanna wait inside? It’s warm, and this uncle—“ you pause, gesturing towards Sakusa, “—can cook something so you can eat.”
His eyes brighten for a second, before he looked back down towards his shoes. “What if mama is on her way back, I don’t want her to worry.”
You check the time, glancing up towards Sakusa who only shrugs his shoulders. “I’ll be quick then,” you reassure him, and he bows again after a quiet thank you.
Kazue shivers again, and before you could unwrap your own scarf, Sakusa is already squatting down next to you, wrapping the boy in familiar fabric.
“It’s cold,” Sakusa says, and bundles up the boy under more layers.
-
“She’s not at the 7/11, or the two Family Marts on the other street,” you tell Sakusa when you made it home.
It’s a little past six pm by now, and you’re at least thankful that your husband had managed to convince Kazue to wait for her inside after sticking a note outside their gate that would tell the mother—if she came—that he was inside waiting for her.
“Has he said anything?” you ask, and sigh when Sakusa shakes his head no.
“Do you think….?” you ask, trailing off and lowering the volume of your voice even more when you look at Kazue sitting in the living room, a bowl of ramen in front of him as he watches the television play a show you only skipped past in that respective channel.
“That she left him there on purpose?” he finishes for you, and you sigh, suddenly feeling like your shoulders are as heavy as the weight of the possibility in your husband’s words.
“Maybe,” you sigh, not really looking forward to uncover the truth because of all the red flags already popping up in the situation. “We should just call the police,” he suggests and you nod in agreement, deciding that for the moment that really was just your only option.
The maybe, you referred to moments ago was later confirmed to just be the case because when Kazue later opens his backpack to show you the superhero he drew last night in his drawing book, a letter tumbles out before the book.
“Can I take a look at this?” you ask him, holding up the folded piece of paper with writing that clearly didn’t look like his, and he nods, before turning to face Sakusa as he flips through the pages of his drawing book.
You meet Sakusa’s eyes midway, and he nods for you to read the contents of the letter before he faces Kazue again, expression knit together like he was leaning something new.
“I’m sorry,” it reads, and it isn’t specifically addressed to anybody. “I can’t take care of him anymore,” it continues and your heart practically drops as you continue to skim through the sentences forming one after the other.
You notice the lines on the paper are smooth instead of soft; not a crinkle in the edges, or smudges on the ink. She’s been planning this, you notice, and when you look at Kazue who beams at Sakusa’s patient smile, your heart clenches even more.
“I know you and your husband haven’t had a child yet, and I don’t know if you’re even trying for one, but I know the both of you will be well enough to take care of Kazue.”
“I have no one else, and when I leave, he will have no one else.”
“He’s a kind boy,” it reads towards the end, and this is where you notice the strokes of the letters beginning to look a little more inconsistent.
“He eats his vegetables well, and he listens to his elders.”
You think about the empty bowl on your sink and remember Sakusa’s comment about how surprised he was that a child at his age actually managed to finish the variety of vegetables he knows even adults have trouble keeping down.
“I know I’m not in a good space to take care of him like he deserves, and I’m at a point in my life where I can’t continue,” you further read and your stomach drops when the next line ends.
“If you accept him, thank you, but if this situation just happened to burden you, then I’m sorry.”
Sakusa looks at you when you fold the letter back and choose to keep it in your hand instead of tucking it back into Kazue’s backpack. The zipper’s ripped off, you notice, and the straps look as worn as the scratches on the front pocket.
They must have had a tougher life, you think, and when Sakusa looks at you looking like he’s waiting for answers, you stay quiet because you don’t really know what to say.
By the time Kazue’s asleep in the guest room of your house, first you think about how plain the covers of the guest bed look next to the opened drawing book laid at the foot of the bed, all the colors of the rainbow looking like life against the white sheets behind it.
Then second, you think about the officer’s words that’s still ringing in your ear.
“We found a body by the river,” he said. “We recovered a wallet with a photo of that boy inside,” he continues, and it’s 01:09 in the morning when the weight in your heart overwhelms you and you finally begin to cry.
-
Much like the both of you expected, the weeks after that day didn’t come easy. Kazue, much like his mother said in the letter, really is a kind boy. He listened to his elders and patiently waited for them to finish speaking before he added some comments of his own.
Even as you watched him listen to the officer scramble for words to explain the reality of his situation, he told them thank you for finding his mama before turning around and crying.
The investigation happened quickly, and it surprised you when Sakusa was quick to offer that Kazue was welcome to stay in the house during the process, seeing as none of the extended family members the police reached out to bother to respond.
“Are you looking to adopt?” was a question the officer automatically asked, and you could feel Kazue’s form stiffen in between you and Sakusa.
“We can take care of the costs for her funeral,” Sakusa instead replies, and when the officer looks at you in shock at the offer, you only nod your head.
“Thank you,” Kazue later says in the car ride home. He’s quiet afterwards, and Sakusa chooses to leave the car in silence as you continue to drive through the city, choosing to stop by the bakery on the way home to buy the cupcakes you saw doodled in the margin of Kazue’s sketchbook.
“What kind of cupcake would you like, Kazue?” you ask, turning around as you unbuckle your seatbelt.
He perks up in his seat behind you, fiddling with the buckle of his seatbelt as he puffs his cheeks and tells you, “It’s okay, I can eat whatever you pick.”
Sakusa beside you softens, then says, “You should go in with her so you can see what they have and pick out the one you like the most.”
“Can I?” he asks, looking at you, and you smile, slipping on your scarf as you push the car open. “Let’s go,” you call and Kazue clicks the buckle of his seatbelt, following in your suit.
“Make sure to put your scarf on,” Sakusa reminds, gesturing to the scarf he bought for him that morning. Sakusa smiles when he loops it around his neck, counting to three just like he taught him earlier, and tells him thank you, before opening the door and grabbing your hand as you walk to the entrance.
Despite the heaviness of the situation, Sakusa lets himself sit for a while in the moment. For now, the heater in the car feels warm against his skin, and the smile on Kazue’s face as he grabs your hand and walks into the adequately lit bakery is bright. Then he looks at you, soft smiles and patient eyes as you hold the door open for him to walk through.
Sakusa thinks it kind of looks like home.
-
“What’s gonna happen to him?” you ask Sakusa a week after Kazue’s mother was laid to rest.
You sit in your side of the bed, keeping your voice hushed despite Kazue staying in the room on the other side of the house. Sakusa walks out of the bathroom, grey sweatpants and a plain blue tee on, before he takes a seat on his side.
He thinks back to the boy, at how red his face looked as he cried into your shoulder while you carried him back to the car after the burial. Then, at the drawing of the three of you Kazue shyly presented during dinner earlier that night.
“The police are probably coordinating with the people that will take him in,” he answers you after taking some time to think about your question.
“Didn’t none of the relatives call back? And isn’t his father already gone too?”
“Yeah,” Sakusa sighs, pressing his fingers to his temple, choosing not to look at you when he notices the urgency your tone gives away. In a way, he already knew of the question you were unintentionally leading up to.
“Kazue will probably be in foster care or the orphanage,” Sakusa finishes and beside him, you feel your heart already drop.
“Is the system going to be good for him?” you ask, turning your head so that your eyes meet Sakusa’s profile.
“I don’t know,” Sakusa answers, and truthfully, you aren’t even certain yourself if you want to know the answer.
“He’s just a child,” you say and Sakusa looks at you, sighing before he nods his head.
“Too young,” he murmurs and with that you put the book down and shuffle closer to him, watching with baited breath as you spill the thoughts in your head.
“Should we take him in?” you say quietly, and Sakusa’s eyes are quick to meet yours upon yours words.
“You mean adopt him?” he says a little quietly, the hesitation in his voice being the first tone you automatically pick up.
“I don’t want him to feel like he’s going to be left behind again,” you answer, truthfully, sighing as you recognize the undertone in your husband’s voice. Sakusa, for as long as you knew him was a man who practiced caution.
He was, is, and judging from this moment, will always be the one in the relationship to heed to practicality and reason instead of just flowing with the current. Like you’re doing now, you suppose.
“He’s been with us for less than a month, (y/n),” Sakusa tells you, his reminder not more than a whisper and it’s the softness and truth in them that finally gets you to see things from his perspective.
“The world is going to break him,” you say, and when you think back to Kazue smiling at you as he tells you thank you for the cupcakes you buy every other night—that’s when you finally feel the sadness spill from your eyes.
“He’s a kind boy,” Sakusa whispers when he opens his arms and lets you crawl into his side. “He’s tough enough to get through things.”
“The world isn’t kind,” you mutter against his chest, and despite Sakusa rubbing circles on your back to soothe the cries, he feels like he’s still at a loss for words.
Then when he goes to sleep that night, Sakusa dreams of empty sketchbooks and thin cardigans in winter weather.
He ceases to find rest that night.
-
“Why don’t you go out and play with the others?” you suggest, leaning down to Kazue’s height as you point to the playground not too far off. “Uncle Omi and I will be able to watch you from here.”
Kazue looks at you like he’s unsure of what to respond, then for a second lets go of your hand before deciding to reach forward and grasp it again.
“Last night was too rainy,” he says and you look at him, confused. Sakusa, beside you, does the same.
“Too many puddles on the ground,” Kazue explains, then looks down as he rocks himself to and fro with the balls of his feet. You smile; Kazue looks as cute in the yellow raincoat and matching rain boots Sakusa bought for him as he does wearing the raccoon themed backpack he shyly pointed to at the mall some days ago.
“Of course there are puddles, Kazue, it was raining last night,” you smile, letting go of his hand as you walk forward and lightly hop in the puddle.
Sakusa smiles as he watches you—it kind of feels like he’s looking at a page in the past.
But beside him, Kazue isn’t. Instead, he walks towards Sakusa and holds onto the edge of his coat as he continues to shake his head no.
“I know that Uncle doesn’t like when the things you have are too dirty,” Kazue begins; beside him, Sakusa looks down, eyebrows drawn together.
“He bought me these nice clothes so I don’t wan’ to get them dirty,” he finishes, smiling at Sakusa when he looks up at catches his eye.
“Thank you!” he says again, and you watch, with your heart somewhere between bursting and melting as your husband wordlessly ruffles Kazue’s hair and holds out his hand for him to take.
Your heart hurts, you realize. Because after today, Kazue would only be a name you’ll relate to your past.
“You’re going to a new home,” you had to explain to him slowly, and it hurt to tell him that because in the guest room—no his room—that he’d been staying at, were the drawings of the superheroes you’d listen to him talk about night after night, portraits of smiling faces he said were of you, Sakusa, and his mother stuck to the wall behind his bed.
For the month he’d been staying with you, the “Tadaima,” you or Sakusa would call out when you arrived would be answered by Kazue’s quiet “Okaeri,” as he met you by the genkan.
“A new home?” he’d asked, and while you excused yourself to allow for Sakusa to explain the situation, you listened from the other side of the door with your hand shaking over your mouth.
“You’ll meet your new parents that way,” Sakusa explained, his voice sounding like he was in between uncertainty and despair.
It wasn’t easy, you think, telling a child who was abandoned and lost his mother in the same day that he’d be going back somewhere unfamiliar again—but you suppose between you and your husband, Sakusa was the one better suited to explain the situation.
“I know they won’t be new parents,” Kazue replied and as you peeked back in the room you see Sakusa staring at him with wide eyes as a silent response.
“They’ll just take care of me for now, and that’s okay. I’m still lucky,” he finishes and the conversation ended just like that.
“He’s gonna be okay,” this time you tell Sakusa as you notice his expression shift in time with his hand ever so slightly tightening around Kazue’s.
You notice everything. Sakusa’s conflicted, much like you were—still are—but this, this was the best you could do for him.
Having kids was never included in you and Sakusa’s plan from the start. Life before, with the two of you had always been enough, and while the two of you never let go of the insatiable hunger for life—you knew that your thirst for it would be quenched with just the two of you.
Until life, ironically the very thing you were chasing, decided to give the both of you something it knew you would flow with.
“Always remember to bundle up, okay?” you remind Kazue when you make it in front of the entrance with who you assumed to be the caretaker standing by the door. Sakusa watches Kazue watch you, the boy’s happiness spilling as warmth into his cheeks as his lips break out into a smile as he nods along to your reminders.
“Thank you,” Kazue says again—and Sakusa internally tries to recall the amount of times he’s said his thanks to the both of you that day. He loses count after he hit fifteen.
“I won’t get these dirty because I’ll take care of them,” He tells Sakusa, gesturing to the things he has with him then gives him a smile when he squats down and faces him eye to eye.
Then when Kazue puffs his cheeks and leans forward wrapping his arms around Sakusa’s neck for an embrace, you watch, feeling the familiar throb of your heart return tenfold. You meet his smiling eyes as he opens them, and when he stretches his hand out for you, you squat down behind Sakusa and kiss Kazue’s forehead.
“Be kind, okay?” you tell him and he nods his head, the smile on his face never leaving.
Sakusa stays still, only moving when he feels Kazue part with him.
Cold, Sakusa thinks, he feels a little cold.
And it’s only thirty minutes after walking into Kazue’s new “home” where Sakusa feels the chills run through him again. He’s watching Kazue be introduced to the new children in the living room with you beside him, the caretaker’s words coming in one ear and floating out the other in seconds.
The guest room, or Kazue’s room as he thinks of it, will still have the drawings he pinned to the wall behind his bed when he comes home. He thinks of the totoro themed comforter you bought for him and the fact that it will still look as neat as Kazue left it earlier that morning.
His mind plays back dinner from the night before, and how warm his home felt when the three of you ate the dinner he cooked with the too many vegetables on the side, then laughed over the smudged chocolate frosting that you wiped on the corner of his lips as Kazue smiled at you both.
The room he sees him standing in now feels cold, and when he sees Kazue shiver and clutch the raccoon backpack to his chest he feels like the very same scene from the month before is replaying right in front of him.
Sakusa thinks he hears your voice, when you tell the woman that’s been explaining the process next to you for a little over twenty minutes now say “thank you,” and “we’ll get going now,” register in his head before he feels his feet already taking strides for him.
“Kazue,” Sakusa says, and when the boy turns and looks at him, that’s when he notices how quiet the room’s gotten.
From your spot, you look at him, unsure of exactly how to proceed because Sakusa—if anything, was never as unpredictable as this.
“We’re going home,” you hear him say, and your grip on the strap of your bag tightens.
“Home?” Kazue echoes and Sakusa’s heart clenches when he hears the yearning in the boy’s voice.
“Yeah, we can have dinner again, like last night,” you listen to Sakusa say, and your heart is suddenly overflowing with everything you’ve held back. Sakusa’s smiling again—and you know his heart is in the same state, because his voice softens even more.
“Just for tonight?” Kazue asks, a little unsure.
“Every night,” Sakusa answers, and just like that you know that when you go home that night—you truly will be home.
- “Mama, you really need to wear a scarf,” Kazue huffs as you walk with him to the entrance of your front door.
You nod at his words and wave him off with the yes, you’ve been responding to his every reminder for the past twelve years now. Kazue—your son—looks at you with the same softness in his eyes as ten years ago when he finally made it home.
“I’m serious,” he laughs, before leaning forward and letting you fasten the buttons on his winter coat.
Kazue grew up, with the roots of his personality remaining unchanged. He’s a kind boy, you think to yourself every day. When he turned seven and made Sakusa wait in the car so he could help the grandmother cross the street. When he was ten, and somehow persuaded your husband to let him keep and nurse the stray cat from your neighborhood back to health. And at seventeen—the now, as you listened to him talk about how he was going to lead his team into nationals.
“You remember what your dad told you?” you ask, smiling as he nods and points to Sakusa from inside, hollering “thanks dad!” with a laugh.
“I’d say I have the perks of having a national athlete as a father, but really, dad’s just that good of a coach.”
You smile, leaning to the side as you hear Sakusa’s footsteps grow closer and closer until you felt his presence right behind you. Leaning back to his chest, you kiss his jaw as a hello, laughing when Kazue groans at the “PDA”.
“We’ll make it to your game later, but have a good time in school,” you hear him say and Kazue nods as he fastens the zipper of his bag and waves at the both of you.
“Love you!” he calls out, walking down the steps and out the gate.
“We love you,” you murmur, your heart filling with the familiar sense of pride as you watch him leave, his dad’s jersey number on his back.
“It’s cold,” Sakusa says, then kisses the crown of your head when you turn to face him. “We should head back inside.”
Smiling, you tug the blanket closer to yourself as you answer, “It’s alright. I think I’ll stay here a bit.”
“Something on your mind?” Sakusa asks, closing the door behind him and taking a seat on the bench beside you in your front porch. Like habit, he takes the scarf from around his neck and loops it around you with a smile, ignoring the way you pat his wrist as if to tell him don’t bother.
“It’s cold,” he laughs, and you roll your eyes knowing that he mostly does it now because of the sentiment it holds for the both of you.
“Home always feels warm, though,” you answer, and Sakusa only nods at your words, the corners of his own lips stretching into a smile like yours.
“We kind of went off the plan we originally had,” you laugh after some silence passed.
“Do you regret it?” he asks, tone even because he already knows the answer to the very question he posed.
“Of course not,” you smile. “I knew we never planned on having kids of our own, but Kazue’s a blessing.”
“He is,” Sakusa replies, smiling at the thought of his son.
His son, he likes to think of it. The memory of Kazue calling him dad for the first time never fails to make warmth spill from his heart.
Watching the smile bloom wider from his profile, you clasp your hand over his and watch as the light from the winter sun catches the band on his left ring finger.
His ring—the one matching the one on your left remained the same, and while your thoughts of the future are completely opposite to the ones you envisioned from before—you realize that this was the grand plan from the heavens all along.
And there isn’t one thing that you’d change about it.
So when Sakusa looks at you, saying, “We did good,” the happiness in your heart overflows and spills into your cheeks as tears.
“We did,” you respond, the sincerity in your voice assuring Sakusa that you really, truly do mean it.

Hey. Can you write a canon divergence where feyre runs into Issac when she visits her family in acomf and jealous Rhys👀
A little 'fresh mating bond' feysand? Oh yes. Yes I can.
We're All Just Animals
We arrived in the human world a day before the meeting with the mortal queens. Now that we were mated, Rhys was voicing a new interest in the village where I grew up, and wanted to spend a day walking around my old town. More importantly, we wanted time to walk around with each other in a place where we didn't get stopped every other minute to be congratulated by doting citizens. With the bond so fresh we... weren't always up for being around other people for extended periods of time and avoided being caught in casual conversations.
So there we were, wandering the market place like newlyweds. At home, I had put a stop to Rhys buying me lavish gowns and precious jewels. Leave the hoarding to Amren, I always said. But here I let him spoil me with trinkets from local vendors: wooden rings, pressed flowers, and spun sugar in the shapes of birds.
To our great satisfaction, no one approached us. No one knew who we were or wanted to make small talk. I supposed I looked very different now to what I used to- where I had been a pale, dirty starveling last I lived here, I was now fae with decadent meals every day and months of Illyrain training. If I walked past nineteen year old me, I'm sure she wouldn't recognise me.
But Isaac Hale did.
"Feyre?" he called.
"Isaac!" I beamed. Since Rhys and I had been mated, it felt like everything delighted me. Despite the looming tensions with Hybern, I was just so deliriously happy, and the feeling was as intoxicating as it was unfamiliar.
Isaac? Rhys echoed in my mind. He knew exactly who Isaac was.
"How are you?" I asked him. "Where's your lovely wife?"
"I'm good. She's at home," Isaac said, rubbing the back of his neck and trying to not stare too hard at me. I remembered how it felt to be dazzled by the beauty of the fae, and I felt a little sorry for him.
"I'm supposed to be bringing home a bag of salt and a few other spices," Isaac said. "Should we walk together?"
Ice crackled into my veins, starting where Rhys's hand held mine and shooting through my arm to my heart. I glanced at him, and if his grip hadn't turned vice-like, you couldn't tell that he was bothered at all.
The mating bond was a strange thing. The ever calm, ever suave Rhys I knew was consumed by the possessive instincts of evolutions past, and I wondered in the last few days where his reasonable self had gone to. I was all too aware of his absolute intolerance of males around me- even his own brothers, sometimes.
"Sure," I said, smiling beatifically at Isaac.
Then again, maybe the mating bond did strange things to me, too.
We turned and strolled down the street together, and as we did, Rhys's hand slipped from mind and slid round my waist instead. Tugged me into his side, and dug a little too hard into my flesh.
"So," he said, his voice perfectly light. "Isaac is it?"
"Yes," Isaac blinked, as if only now becoming aware of Rhys. My smile grew slightly wider, while Rhys beside me only got colder. I couldn't deny the rush I felt when Rhys got like this. When I could make Rhys like this. "I'm an... old friend of Feyre's."
"Funny," Rhys said casually. "I'd never heard of you."
Liar, I shot at Rhys. His talons scraped against the shield of my mind, found purchase and latched on. I shivered.
Isaac chuckled good-naturedly. "Ah, well, I suppose that makes sense, given... ah, our relationship." Wrong answer.
The talons twitched tighter, and the edges of my vision blurred for a second. I swatted at them, and they loosened again.
"It's been a long time," Isaac said quickly, noting the way Rhys and I walked together, the way Rhys was holding on to me.
"Too long," I purred. "We were going to stop by the tavern for a drink, if you'd like to join us." Rhys stopped dead in his tracks.
Feyre, he murmured, dangerously low.
"That would be lovely," Isaac said, and only noticed a second too late that Rhys's expression had lost all pretense at civility and was now openly hostile.
Rhys, I mimicked.
"Fantastic," Rhys said, eyes sparking. "Lead the way then." He gestured dramatically out in front and Isaac, now wildly uncertain, glanced at me before walking ahead of us.
What are you doing? I asked Rhys.
Going for a drink with your ex-lover, apparently, Rhys replied. A muscle jumped in his jaw.
He's an old friend, I reasoned. Don't kill him.
Rhys's eyes slid sideways to mine. Feyre I know you what you're doing.
I blinked innocently back at him. I don't know what you're talking about.
I pried his talons off my mind primly, and they sulked away.
I hadn't been to the local tavern since leaving the human world. It was dark and dingy just like I remembered- although my fae nose now picked up scents that I really didn't need amplified.
There were tall barrels dotted around the room that stood in as tables, and in the centre of the space were a couple of worn couches. We picked up our mugs of ale and sat down on one of the latter. I had Rhys on my left, and I leaned my back against his shoulder as I turned to Isaac. Isaac set his drink on the low table, and sat down on my other side. Moved a little further away when a low warning growl emanating from Rhys as soon as his backside hit the cushion.
"How are your sisters?" Isaac asked, now clearly uncomfortable. Rhys's arms slid around my middle, and his chin rested on my shoulder.
"They're doing well," I told him. "They're much more comfortable since my father's trade has picked up."
"Yes, I've been glad to see your family's good fortune return," Isaac said. He reached for his mug, which happened to be near my knee. Rhys's teeth snapped loudly next to my ear, and I slapped his thigh lightly.
"Behave," I said mildly. I reached up and stroked his hair without looking at him, and he moved his head to touch his nose to my palm.
Isaac, on the other hand, was looking at Rhys with wide eyes and had snatched his hand back so fast you'd think the tankard was on fire. Without a drink, he rubbed his hands together awkwardly. I picked up my own mug, and slid Isaac's across to him at the same time. The taste was sawdust on my lips now, but Isaac drank his down quickly.
"See the Archerons often, do you Isaac?" Rhys asked lightly. He was now circling his nails on my knee, and they were just a bit too sharp. I could feel it all the way up my legs. A craving for more, more, more of Rhys's touch stoked in my belly. Isaac blanched a little at how Rhys's mood seemed to be lurching.
"Uh, no, but the family is well known around town, of course."
Dear gods, I thought. His hands are actually shaking around his ale.
Rhys saw this too, and his gaze went straight to them.
"I see," was all he said, and then he pulled me right into his lap. I would have objected, it was far too intimate for this public setting. But then his hands squeezed on my hips and I realised he was hard beneath me, and all thoughts emptied out of my head. I shifted my hips automatically.
Isaac tipped back the rest of his ale, and stood hurriedly.
"Well," he said. "It has been a pleasure seeing you again, Feyre."
I held out my hand and he touched my fingers. Rhys went deathly still around me, and as soon as Isaac turned to leave Rhys was up and walking me roughly across the floor. Down the hall toward the staircase that led up to the rooms, where the shadows were dense and we were away from the main room. Then he spun me roughly and pushed me toward the wall, where my hands caught me and my breath came fast. Rhys threw up a shield so hard it cracked the beam on the ceiling, and then he had his lips on the back of my neck and his hands pushing up my skirts.
"Mine," Rhys snarled in my ear. His nails raked up the backs of my thighs and I gasped at the sensation. "You're fucking mine." And then with no further preamble he yanked my hips back toward him and sank himself inside me.
I cried out with the sudden movement, and then a wild little laugh escaped me.
"Oh so you think it's funny, do you?" Rhys asked, and started fucking me with his hands tight on my hips.
"A little," I said breathlessly. "Are you jealous of a young mortal man?"
"No," Rhys growled, and one of his hands landed on the wall next to mine, bracing as his pace increased. "No I'm not jealous of that boy."
"Then what's- oh, mmm what's wrong?"
"What's wrong is you're my mate and no one, fucking no one gets to touch you but me." He punctuated his sentence with sharp thrusts of his hips. I arched my back to get him deeper, and his teeth gripped my neck at the junction of my shoulder.
"Well make me yours then," I said, and the words set Rhys off into a frenzy. His hands slid over my chest and squeezed my breasts on top my clothes, and he was fucking me so hard I could barely breathe.
"You wanna be mine?" Rhys panted. "Fuck me back." I moaned and tried to keep up with the hurtling pace he had set. "That's it," Rhys said. "Fuck me back and come on my cock."
Indeed the pleasure was piling fast now, and I gloried in this unhinged, savage version of Rhys that so rarely got let out. Now, mating bond in hand, I had its collar on the end of my leash and I loved it.
My head fell back against Rhys's shoulder and caught my ear lobe between his teeth. My hand reached for my clit, but Rhys stopped me and put both my hands firmly on the wall in front of me. Then his own fingers slid between my thighs and his tongue continued under my ear in time with his hand.
"Come on my cock Feyre," he said roughly. "Do it. Do it now."
And my body knew who it was answering to. My climax stuttered out of me and I spasmed in the cage of his arms. Rhys tightened around me as he fell into release too, and we were shaking and shuddering and coming apart against the dull wood of the tavern.
Rhys rested his forehead on the top of my shoulder while we caught our breath, and then he cleaned us up with a wave. The sounds of the crowd floated back in as the shield protecting us dissolved, and Rhys grinned against my beck as he hugged me once more into his chest.
"Such a wicked, cruel mate," he purred. I turned my head to kiss him, far too pleased with myself, before walking back out in front of him.
I ran straight into a man with as much ale on his breath as was left in his mug.
"Oh hello sweetheart," he said.
And Rhys stepped up behind me and gave such a feral growl that the man backed away very fast.
"Home," he gritted out, and I kissed him hard on the mouth as he winnowed.
****
It occurs to me that I could also have done a whole bit about Rhys reading Isaac's memories of Feyre in the barn, but also it's 11.24pm you get what you get 😂

masterlist
Everything is on fire. Everyone is running around you, because for some reason, you’re walking toward the flames. Screams echo in your ears and the feeling of something tugging you into the burning building that looked like your home is too strong to ignore. When you push the door to your house open, your mother is hovering over your father, who is bleeding out as you watch in horror. When your mother looks up at you, she’s crying fat tears of sorrow, then she whispers:
“You did this, y/n. You let that monster into our town, and now look at what you’ve done.”
A hand smooths over your face as you twist and turn, but you don’t realize it’s the General until you open your eyes, the light from the moon blocked by his body. “You’re okay. Don’t worry; no one’s going to hurt you here,” he whispers, despite having hurt you before. You push his hand away and sit up, clutching your knees to your chest as you catch your breath. “Nightmare?” he asks, and for a second, you’re wondering if he’s saying that he had a nightmare. But then you feel the sweat around the nape of your neck and on your chest, and remember the feeling of helplessness you just emerged from. You nod, looking around the tent at the table, papers, the ink, the discarded haori near the seat…
“You’re up late,” you mention - trying to change the subject - and the General huffs a laugh, pushing back his hair like he always did before he launched into an explanation. Why didn’t he just tie it up?
“I do my best work right before the midnight hours. You’d be surprised at the formations I can create with just a hint of alertness left in my body.” He turns back to you, touching your foot with a broad hand. “Do you want to talk about your dream?”
“No,” you answer quickly, hoping he would drop the subject.
“Then let me have Kaori fetch you some water for a bath. I would hate for you to remain as sweaty as you are.” You slide off the bed, walking around to the little desk area that held stacks of papers and diagrams and sliding one free from the stack.
“You draw maps?”
“Cartographers are not cheap, little one. I’ve canvassed a massive effort to make a map of every place I’ve been to… Nanami is very helpful with this, as well. He’s so attentive to details that I might have missed, so I rely on his help more often than not.”
“And Haibara?”
“Yu? He’s pretty easy to get along with as well. He’s my mentee, if you really consider it. If I have no children, he will inherit the throne after me.”
“What about Gojo?” you question, sliding a map of the surrounding area forward and examining it carefully. As he drones on about the blue eyed man, you make sure your eyes cover every inch of the map and memorize the routes in and out of the camp. If you could just find a way to get over to the edge of the camp, you could easily hitch a ride back to your hometown and tell everyone about the General’s whereabouts. And expose Yuko for the traitor he is.
“But do you enjoy your time with Kaori? I purposefully made her the head of maids so she would tend to you and you alone.”
“Ah,” you push the map away and smile up at Geto, having finally found your escape route. “She’s lovely.”
And Kaori would be even more lovely once she helped you with your plan to run away.
_______________________________________________________________________
“How do you feel today?” Kaori wonders as you dress in your standard blue kimono.
“Quite well,” you answer, smiling back at her. She raises a brow, a grin forming on her lips.
“Might this have anything to do with Master Geto?”
You look back at the maid, and give her your best fake grin. “Maybe.” Kaori hums in surprise, then gathers her things up before leaving you alone again. “Oh, I almost forgot,” you begin, tying the kimono closed. “Could you bring me an extra pear or two with lunch today? I have a craving for them right now.” Kaori nods and bows slightly before walking out of the tent.
Map? Check.
Clothes? Check.
Extra food? Check.
The entire morning is spent pouring over the map, tracking your path in and out of the compound. You would have to walk a considerable distance, but it was perfectly fine. If you could manage to secure a horse, you’d probably get halfway home before anyone noticed you were missing, and that was a considerable head start.
Your plan went into effect as soon as they announced dinner, and you wait patiently for Geto to come fetch you for the evening meal, laying in his bed with a pained expression. When he comes inside, he sees you clutching your stomach and hanging over the side of the bed a little.
“Are you unwell?” he asks immediately, stooping by the bedside and smoothing your hair away from your face. You shake your head slowly, all of it an act, and he grumbles something about ‘knowing the food was undercooked at lunch’. Little did he know that you had stowed it away, along with a spare kimono of his and rudimentary copy of the map.
You fake a cough for emphasis, and his hands fly to your face, patting the tender flesh of your cheeks and forehead. “You’re warm. I’ll have Kaori come and attend to-”
“I don’t want her to catch what I have,” you moan, rolling over on your left side.
“You shouldn’t be alone like this,” Geto urges, eyes frantically looking around the tent space for something. “I’ll… I’ll eat dinner here, then. I’ll stay with you.” You shake your head weakly, ignoring his panicked expression.
“I can’t bear the smell of food right now… I just need some rest.”
“And you shall have it,” Geto whispers, placing a tender kiss on your left hand. “I’ll be back within the hour to check on you.” And with that, he leaves you in the tent. When you suspect that he - and as a result, his friends - are all gone to eat, you slide out of the bed and retrieve your sack of things hidden underneath it.
It isn’t escaping the camp that’s hard.
It’s running through the dead of night with only a sliver of moon to guide you that is most difficult.
Without the daylight, you could easily mistake a patch of trees for a forest and river for a ravine. But it doesn’t matter. Your father had taught you how to tell the North from the South and the East from the West, and you relied on those skills now to guide you out of the camp. First, you have to locate the brightest star in the sky and just follow it to get on the right path. If it is directly overhead, you’d be on your way to determining which way to go. The makeshift map you have is telling you that you should wander northeast to get out of the confines of the camp, and you would be well on your way to your hometown.
Except…
You look back at the lights dotted around the camp behind you.
What if you stayed? What if you stayed and made friends with the General? What if you stayed, made friends with the General, and then lured him in with a false sense of security? You adjust the sack on your back and think for a moment more.
He had let you remain in the tent by yourself. Not only was it a sign that he was finally beginning to trust you while you were alone, but also while you had all of the opportunity to escape, like you were now. Either that, or he’s more than confident that he would be able to find you and drag you back so he could execute his plan properly.
The only thing that would come from you attempting to run away would be a chase, and you would more than likely be caught without a horse. Then, Geto would not hesitate to discipline you and make you submit to his will, and possibly never trust you again.
“Flattery is the best persuader of people,” your father used to murmur, but you didn’t believe it back then; rolling your eyes at his old sayings. But now… perhaps you could work this to your advantage by staying.
You trek back with the pack, dumping everything except the kimono nearby to avoid any suspicion. The kimono is placed back where it had been before, and you slump onto the bed - facing away from the tent opening - groaning with exhaustion and anxiety.
The General returns what feels like a few minutes later and runs a hand down your back with care, humming in the darkness. He’s unsteady on his feet, it sounds like, and he anchors himself on the bed with one knee, leaning over you to brush a lock of hair away from your face.
“If there’s one thing I know about Yuko,” he breathes, words tumbling out of his mouth like a bucket of apples. “He didn’t lie about beauty or character.” Geto slides in next you, wrapping an arm around your waist protectively and nestling his face into the crook of your neck. He places a kiss below your earlobe, then almost instantly afterward, he’s asleep.
And although you want to squirm out of his arms and give him what-for, you don’t. The resolve in your new plan has set you on a path of compromise, and you would see this through until the end.
_______________________________________________________________________
Lips. They’re everywhere. On your face, trailing down your neck and accompanied by touches that stoke the flames of a fire you didn’t realize you had burning inside of you.
When your eyes flutter open, it’s still night, but the General has let the wine go to his head. You let out an involuntary moan at the feeling of his fingers gripping the skin underneath your kimono before you snatch yourself out of his grasp, tumbling to the floor below and remembering how much you hated him.
“Y/n… are you..” he hiccups a little. “Are you alright?” You push off of the ground in a fury, dusting yourself off and facing away from him as you yell:
“How dare you go back on your promise to not defile me, you filthy swine! Touching me in my sleep is low for even you, Your Majesty!” You spit the last two words at him, then stomp towards the flaps of the tent, which open with a flutter before you can get to them.
Geto steps inside, his eyes meeting yours in a confused stare.
“I heard you yelling and I--” He looks over your shoulder and frowns, squinting his eyes at the figure in the bed. “Get up.” When the man stumbles to the floor, Geto pulls you in behind him, shielding you from who really occupied the bed.
“M-Master Geto, I can expla--”
“Silence.” The deep bass of the General’s voice is unmatched, deadly, and practically telling of the punishment to come. Haibara and Gojo walk past you into the tent behind Geto, making lanterns glow and illuminate the tent space. “Do you know this man?” Geto roars, pointing an accusing finger at the offender as he turns to you, throwing daggers with his eyes. You look at the soon-to-be dead man, nostrils flaring. But you don’t recognize his face, nor his body. Nothing about this person is familiar.
“No, sir,” you state, and Geto starts a little at the sound of the formality falling from your lips.
“Has he touched you in any way?” Your skin is crawling with what feels like a thousand little bugs, and you clutch your elbows instinctively. In one smooth motion, Geto turns to Gojo, who nods his head once and grabs the man’s hair, dragging him past you and Haibara as his screams of pain echo into the night. You feel two hands resting on your shoulders as you stare at the tent flaps, the fluttering of them barely revealing the man’s fate. It’s only when the screaming stops that you turn to Geto. “Are you hurt?” he asks, dipping his head a little to look into your eyes with his piercing black ones.
“No, I’m fine.”
“Where did he touch you?” You look over to Haibara, and Geto does as well, before waving the youth off. “Make sure Gojo takes care of…”
“Of course,” Haibara replies, and with a sad smile thrown your way, he departs. Geto turns his attention back to you, taking your wrists in his hands.
“Show me.” You move a hand across your chest and down your right thigh, grazing the spot where the man had grabbed you roughly. Then you swipe at your neck and face. “My gods,” he breathes before pulling you close. Tears threaten to leak out of your eyes, but you hold them at bay, trying to maintain the hysterics for later when you were alone. “I should have stayed.”
“I should have let you.”
_______________________________________________________________________
You awake enveloped in Geto’s warmth, unsure of when you fell asleep for the second time, but thankful for the body heat that wards off the night-time chill. When you move away from him, he does not awaken, but does stir a little.
And that’s when you see it. The dragon on his arm is moving it’s head back and forth, eyes blinking lazily. At first you think you’re hallucinating, but when you rub your eyes and peer closer, it’s still moving; the entirety of its body doing a little dance side to side.
“You should see it after a battle, Geto murmurs sleepily, eyes trained on your astonished face. “Dancing is just how it wakes itself up.” You stare at the mythical being in silence, unsure of whether the true beast was the man before you or the tattoo on his arm. “How are you feeling?” Geto finally breaks the silence, sitting up and pushing himself out of the bed.
“I feel alright.” He takes your hand, lifting it up to his lips and pressing a soft kiss to the back. You pause, unsure of how to respond to such a gesture, but Geto keeps moving around the tent, adjusting the sheets and running his hands through his hair.
“Have you ever thought about braiding it?” you wonder, and Geto looks over at you with an amused look.
“I have; but no one here is skilled enough to braid - not even Kaori.”
Wordlessly, you trek over to him and thread the locks of hair through your fingers.
“How do you keep it so clean when you’re on the battlefield?” you wonder aloud, and Geto chuckles.
“Water is a resource that I take full advantage of, little one.” He instinctively stops his movements and angles his head back so you can work the strands one over the other, finally ending the long braid with a simple strip of fabric from the edge of your kimono.
“There.” Geto pulls the braid over his shoulder and examines it carefully, humming at the sight of your handiwork.
“This is interesting, to say the least.”
“It will keep things from getting caught in your hair, and I’m sure it feels much less ‘all over the place’.”
“Indeed, it does,” he breathes, then reaches a hand out to touch your cheek affectionately. Without thinking, you lean into his touch, and after taking half a step forward, Geto places a kiss on your forehead. After this signal of affection, he leaves, making you wonder what was wrong with your face and if you actually had a fever - because your cheeks felt hotter than they had ever felt before.

Is that blood? - Matthew Tkachuk
Prompt: “Is that blood?” “Yes but that doesn’t matter right now, what does matter is-” “You are literally bleeding.” Warnings: as the prompt says mentions of blood, children
The sun basked down in St Louis and you were spending time with the Tkachuk family over summer break. It was pretty normal for you to wake up in the late morning and make your way over to the Tkachuk residence for a barbecue style lunch, then spend the rest of the day either in their pool, playing sports in the backyard or going to the shops with whoever wanted to.
Today was no different, you had made your way across to their side of town with a car full of their favourite Starbucks drinks. It was the least you could do to thank them for their hospitality and letting you crash their family plans. Chantal always told you that you were like a child to her and you were always welcome to join them for as long as you wanted. Being an only child was difficult but having two honorary brothers and one honorary sister did make everything a lot more fun. Matthew and Brady spent their time protecting you from the boys in the neighbourhood and Taryn was the perfect person for you to chat to about relationships.
There was one thing, however, that you had kept from Taryn. The crush on her eldest brother that had been manifesting over the past few years. Hockey training had been good to him, he had grown into his body and you couldn’t help sneaking a glance or two at him. You thought you were being slick, and you were the first time. But every other time, he had noticed you staring and was thinking about the best way to approach you.
Matthew had been harbouring a crush on you since the start of the summer when he saw you in that bathing suit. The red one with white polka dots, it highlighted all of your features perfectly and he knew that hiding this crush would be difficult with the amount of time you spent at their house.
It wasn’t like he hadn’t tried to tell you, there was just always something stopping him. The first time, the two of you were in the kitchen fetching some drinks to bring out to everyone and as he was about to tell you, Brady walked in, covered in some combination of beer and liquor that smelt horrible. You had basically forced Brady upstairs and ran out of the kitchen to try and get rid of the smell.
The second time, you, Matthew, Taryn and Brady had gone to the mall just for a shopping trip as you thought that Matt needed an entire new wardrobe and that would only happen if he was there and could help choose his clothes. Brady had dragged Taryn to some store to try and find something for his girlfriend because he knew he wanted to get her a gift, but had absolutely no idea what sort of thing would be good.
You and Matt were in a clothes store and had picked out a few things for him to go and try on. He wasn’t being overly cooperative but was enjoying spending time with you. He also wasn’t the best at modelling, but you accepted it because he played hockey. One thing you didn’t realise would be difficult to find was jeans. Matthew liked to remind you that he suffered from a hockey butt and it would be hard to find a pair that actually made it over his glutes. Every single time he made the comment, which was often, you told him that you could always make him a pair if he needed to.
Eventually, you both went to the food court to grab something to eat. It was pretty busy but you were able to sneak around the people blocking the way to find a place to sit down. Matt insisted that he bought you lunch and was going to tell you exactly how he felt when it was just the two of you and your food. But, when he was about to pay, he saw that Brady and Taryn had found the table you were sat at and it was another chance ruined.
Matthew had the entire thing planned out for the third time, but what he didn’t anticipate was having a load of his small cousins running around his back yard. He let out a groan but was able to hide it. As he was about to drop you a text warning you of the kids, you pulled into the driveway. He thought it was going to be impossible for him to tell you how he felt for you.
At this point, he just accepted that the universe had decided that the two of you would never be more than friends. Matthew knew that just being friends with you was not a bad thing at all, he always valued your opinion and advice just as much as his mother’s.
You jumped out of your car to hear the sounds of children causing havoc on Tkachuk terrace and knew that you’d be having a fun day being pulled between different games and people. By this point in the summer, Chantal had given you the code to get in through the back gate as you were over almost every single day. Slowly and quietly, you opened the gate so that none of the younger Tkachuk’s would hear you and try to escape the garden.
The endeavour was successful and you were able to make it all of two steps before Keith noticed the iced coffees in your hand. “Ah! Y/N, always making my day,” he said walking in your direction to give you a hand with the drinks. He took half of them from your hands and noticed that you had written names on each of them so you could get them to the right person. He shot you a smile when he noticed and knew that he’d be able to get them to whoever wanted them without having to constantly ask you.
Keith noticed the small things you did for his family that most people wouldn’t notice. Bringing coffees to the house was just another thing to add to the list which included flowers for Chantal, muffins for everyone almost every time you visited to helping Taryn with her school work when she got stuck, and his personal favourite, seeing you interact with the younger members of his family. The way Charlotte and Sarah would gravitate towards you whenever the three of you were together. They always wanted you to do something with them, building lego, doing their hair, swimming. It was difficult for them to separate from you.
Today was no different, as soon as they heard your name, their little legs propelled the two of them towards you. You lifted them both up, one in each arm, and spun them around a few times. The conversation started immediately and they needed to know everything that had happened to you in the past week. You decided to humour them by over exaggerating absolutely everything you had done and they loved it.
Unbeknownst to you, Matthew was sitting across the garden from you and was taking in every single move you were making. Even if he was meant to be playing basketball, he couldn’t take his eyes off you. You were beautiful, as always, but seeing you interact with his younger cousins just made his heart swell with love. He thought it was just a crush before, but now he knew, it was more than that.
Brady, being the annoying younger brother he is, had noticed that Matthew was slightly out of it and threw the basketball straight at his chest, trying to get his attention. It did hit him, but it was a bit harder than expected. Matthew stepped back, to try and absorb some of the shock but ended up tripping over someone’s foot and grazing his knee.
“Brady,” Matthew said with some anger but before he could continue, you had already made your way across to him assessing how bad the injury to his knee was.
“Matt,” you sighed, with a small amount of disappointment. “Come with me, hopefully my first aid skills are up to scratch to deal with this small graze.” You offered him your hand in case he decided to be a drama queen and pretend like he couldn’t walk properly just to annoy Brady.
Once the two of you were inside, you went around to the bathroom and made him sit on the bathroom counter so you could get a better look at his knee. You thought that it was just a light scrape so there wouldn’t be any blood. Matthew knew exactly how to get you on his good side and he was about to tell you exactly how he felt as it was the first time in what felt like forever that the two of you were alone but then, “is that blood?” you asked, unsure how you had missed it the first two times you had looked over his knee.
“Yes, but that doesn’t matter right now, what matters is-”
“Matthew Tkachuk, you are literally bleeding,” you cut in, completely ignoring what he was trying to say.
“Y/N. I don’t care about the blood. I want to tell you something I’ve been trying to tell you for weeks,” he admitted. You looked up at him from where you were to see him looking directly at you, with love in his eyes. “I like you, more than I should as a friend. And I want you to be my girlfriend?” It was a question because he had no idea what your response was going to be.
“I like you more than a friend should too Matt,” you said, not breaking eye contact with him. “So, in answer to your question, yes.” He smiled as soon as he heard that. “Yes, I will be your girlfriend and my first duty as your girlfriend is to bandage up your bleeding knee.”

Okay look I really wanted to see Cal so maybe something Cal?? Like maybe he’s holding reader after something scary happens or while she cries (cause I’m currently crying after that new episode) love you lots 🥺
Oh, I’m always soft for Cal. The best boy! I’ve got some softness right here for you 🥺
Star Wars Masterlist
»»————- ♡ ————-««
You sat up rod straight in your bed as you tried to gauge your surroundings and figure out exactly where you were. You breathing was ragged as you clutched your wildly fluttering heart and came to the conclusion that you were safe. Safe and sound in your own bed as Cal slept away next to you. He seemed nonplussed as he remained still, his chest rising and falling in a steady fashion, light snores emanating from his mouth.
Safe.You were safe.
But the visions and dreams that plagued your sleep often seemed so real, so vivid and technicolor that you were almost positive that they were real. The flashes of the red saber and the heavy breathing of the Sith Lord called Darth Vader seemed like they never subsided. More often than not, you were left tossing and turning throughout the night. Ever since Cal’s acquisition and destruction of the Holocron, the minor pull to the dark side that was ever present seemed to grow stronger and stronger.
And no matter how much you mediated, to try to clear your heart and mind of the anger and fear you were hanging onto, it never seemed to work. Maybe for a day or so, but then the nightmares were right back and plaguing your mind. And you hoped that’s all they were and would remain. You didn’t want to think about what it mean if they were more than just dreams.
Sighing heavily, you wiped away the already drying rears, before slipping out of bed to make your way to the kitchen. BD-1 must have sensed your sudden presence because he immediately was at your side as you filled a tall glass with fresh, ice cold water. Offering him a weak smile, you quickly downed it all and almost slammed the glass down on the counter. The small droid chirped eagerly as you bent down and got closer to his level.
“I don’t know,” you admitted, answering his question as gave him a pat, “I’m sure it’ll get better soon. It’s just me."
The small droid offered you a series of small beeps of reassurance before he perched next to your leg. Picking him up, you held him against your chest in a tight hug, already feeling better.
"I don't want to worry Cal," you murmured softly, "he's already got so much on his mind. I don't need to worry him about this too."
He made a small sound as you nodded in understanding, "I know. If it doesn't get better soon, I'll tell him. For now I want to give him a break too. He's been through just as much as we have, if not more."
He looked at you with such gentleness that you almost forgot he wasn't a person, but a droid. Although, he was much more than just a droid. He was a part of the little family you'd made with Cal and the rest of the Mantis crew. BD worked his way onto your shoulder and a sense of warmth immediately washed over you. At least there was someone in the galaxy that you could talk to.
Its not that you didn't want to tell Cal, but he needed rest too. He'd been through so much both mentally and physically, and he deserved the rest. Your little fears were not significant enough to further worry him with. Not yet anyway.
"If it doesn't get better I'll tell him soon," you promised yourself and BD. He made a small trill of agreement as you walked back to your bedroom in order to try and get some actual rest. If nothing else, the feeling of Cal's body next to you would be grounding and calming.
»»————- ♡ ————-««
Your throat felt tight. Tighter than it ever had. Black dots and a soft haze started to cloud your vision. Each breath became harder and harder, more ragged with every inhale. Your chest was on fire, and yet there was nothing you could do.
You tried to scream, for help, for Cal, but nothing happened.
Your hand went to your throat as you tried to make any sort of sound. The silence was deafening, but then out of the darkness you felt it. A hand on your shoulder, squeezing it tightly before you heard it. That modulated breathing that sent shivers up and down your spine.
And then -
"Turn," it was a single word that was enough to cause your heart to constrict as it echoed throughout the blackened space, "turn, turn, turn."
As you tried to wander and navigate the darkness, you felt your body being jostled. It was so startling that suddenly your eyes opened and vision cleared into the bleary darkness of the late night hours.
"Hey, hey, hey," Cal's hand was on your arm as he gently moved to wake you up, "honey-"
Once you realized you were in the sanctity of your bedroom, you calmed down, even if it was just for the moment.
Turning to face him, a small broken sob escaped your lips as you looked at the concerned expression of your lover.
"Cal," it was a soft, broken whisper as he pulled you into his lap and wrapped his arms tightly around your frame. He rubbed a hand up and down your back in soothing circles as you cried into his shoulder, the fabric of his shirt immediately becoming wet with tears.
"Its okay," he promised with a kiss to the side of your head, "I've got you."
You wished you could have more easily expressed your words, how scared you were, but all you could do was cry as he held you, whispering soft words of love and reassurance in your ear. Ever the gentle and caring man that he was, he didn't pressure you to speak or open up. Instead, he let you get it all out, and held onto you as tightly as possibly, trying to radiate all of his love onto you.
Eventually, when you were all cried out and felt exhaustion slowly washing over your tired bones and heart, you pulled back and looked into his soft eyes.
"Cal," your voice was dry and harsh as he reached up and delicately wiped away the remainder of your tears. He rested his hand on your cheek as he worked to bring you back into reality and ground you. You keened into his touch before pressing your forehead against his and eventually giving him a sweet kiss. He tasted familiar, sweet but always with a hint of mint. He was your comfort, your heart and home, "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to wake you up."
"You have nothing to apologize for," he said with the smallest hint of a laugh, "you were having a nightmare. You can't help that."
"I know," you sighed as you felt your eyes start to burn with the sting of tears again. He senses what was going on, putting a hand to the back of your neck as he gently cradled your head. His soft touch - comfort - was enough to send you over the edge as you began crying again, "I-I was so scared, Cal."
"What happened?" his voice was low and gentle as he did his best to soothe you, "in the nightmare?"
"I.. they're been happening a lot," you admitted, "ever since you destroyed the Holocron."
"What?! Sweet girl - why haven't you said anything?" Cal was in awe as he tried to possibly imagine all the pain and hurt you'd been dealing with on your own. He would have taken it all away from you in an instant.
"I didn't want to bother you," you hiccuped through your tears, "you deserve rest too, my love. You of all people..."
"As do you," he promised, "I want you to know that whatever it is, you can always wake me up or anything. I am with you always."
"I love you," you whispered as you carded a hand through his ginger locks, "thank you for everything. For loving me. All of it."
"I love you too," he replied with a soft kiss, "whats been going on - in your nightmares? You've been having them often, haven't you?"
"Yes," you let out a long, tired sigh, "they're always about the same thing..."
"Vader," he finished for you, sensing that it had to be what seemed to haunt you. You gnawed on your bottom lip as you nodded, "he’s been in my nightmares too. Not as often, but he's there."
"I can feel it," you let it all out before deciding to hold anything back from him, "the pull...to the dark - away from the light. It scares me sometimes."
"I feel it too," he said as a way of reassurance, "and so does Cere. Its normal, you know it is. We all experience it in different ways. But it doesn't mean anything. As long as we remember who we are."
"Okay," you searched his eyes, although as it desperately trying to see if he was being honest. You show nothing but honesty and adoration staring back at you. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you held him as close as physically possible, "I don't know what I'd do without you, Cal."
"I feel the same about you," he pressed a kiss to the side of your head, "you'll always get through everything together. I promise. You have me - always."
Before you could say anything else, a soft beeping meet your ears from the foot of the bed. You both turned to find BD look excitedly at the two of you.
"Come on," you motioned for the small droid to join on and he wasted no time in hoping up on the bed and settling down on your pillow, "hi, BD. Thank you for always being there too."
"Don't know what we'd do without you, buddy," Cal agreed as he laid back down and pulled you down to lay on top of your chest. He wrapped his arms around your middle as your laid on his chest, "we should all try and get some rest. We all deserve it."
"Love you Cal," you murmured sleeping, already feeling sleep wash over you again. This time you knew it would be better, much better in the safety of your lover's arms, "and you too, BD."

remember a few days ago when i said i was writing a collection of mismatched scenes of all the times that I think jester and caleb should have just kissed on the mouth? hehe :)
I.
“Caleb, can you hear through it?” she’s yelling, head tilting and eyes squinting as she looks at the one-way glass he’s just apparated in the middle of the hall. She leans in, scrunching her nose and sticking out her tongue a little as she detectives. “Can we come into it?”
He grins, he can’t help himself. “Only you.”
“Do we just hit the side of it or -”
Her fingertips press through the barrier, disrupting the near-transparent bubble with a ripple and he reaches out his hand for hers, guides her in. Her mouth makes the cutest little oh! shape as she passes through and she can see what he’s seeing.
“Caleb. This is so COOL!”
The grin hasn’t dropped from her face, and it spreads infectiously across his.
“I’ve been working on this for weeks,” he says, smacking his legs with triumphant fists.
Her grin gets even wider, sharing in that joy. A few more silent moments pass, as she takes it in with awe.
“So, can anyone come in, or like, only people you like, or … ?”
He thinks for a moment, grins slyly. He sticks a finger out, just barely missing her nose. “You can come in.”
She leans towards him, returning the affection he seems to be offering. She gets close to his face, on purpose. She likes making him blush. “That means you like me.”
Blush he does. It’d be near impossible not to - they’re alone and unseen together, and she’s leaning towards him, her grin pushing up the freckles on her cheeks he’d love to try and count. And he’s tired, exhausted, barely functional. He’s got no strength left to carry all the layers he usually hides himself behind, but it’s alright, it’s only Jester looking anyways.
She hasn’t pulled her face back yet, like she’s waiting for him to do something. Tease.
Even after everything they’ve both seen these past few days, fear seems gone for just a second. They’re safe inside their shell, and no one’s watching. It would be so easy to just lean down, steal a moment to remind her that he cares, remind her that he’ll always care, remind her that he did this to keep her safe, take her mind off why.
It would be so easy ...
******
II.
“Can we like. Stick things through the bubble?”
“Uh. Ja, you can put your weapons through it, but no magic can come in or out. But you can leave and come back any time you want.”
“Okay. Just checking.”
She tries to hide the wince in her face as she nods a bit too heartily, jostling the half-healed slash across her chest left from panther-like claws. He notices. She notices him noticing, notices the way his brow furrows even deeper.
“But, please. No walkabouts when we are sleeping, okay?”
He looks up at her through those drawn-together brows when he says it, pleading more than he really needs to. She learned that lesson. But it’s still sweet to see how much he cares.
He’s been caring a lot lately, come to think of it. Chatting with her on the boat. Checking in. Making sexy jokes when they’re supposed to be stealthing. Doing a very bad job of hiding his attempts to make sure she laughed at it.
“I’ll stay right here. I promise.” She settles back onto her hands, hoping it’ll bring a little relief to the pain starting to spark across her ribs.
“Well. That’s good enough for me.”
And he pauses for a second, just a second, like he’s giving her an invitation to double down on that promise, make sure he knows she knows someone cares, and who someone is, and that someone else cares back.
It would be so easy …
******
III.
When she was little and read a lot of fairy tales, she’d often think about kissing a beautiful boy in a beautiful room full of paintings and tapestries and a billion things on shelves that glittered just to be pretty, and the light would somehow be reflecting off all of them at once, and his shirt would be off for reasons, and it would be glorious.
The tunnel they're in can’t really constitute as a room, but the way the crystals shimmer even in the dim glow of the Dancing Lights, rippling all around them is arguably better than shiny decorations. Caleb certainly can constitute as a beautiful boy. After all, she’s just admitted he is neither stinky nor dirty anymore. And arm wraps aren’t quite the same as a shirt, but he has taken part of his clothes off in front of her.
Creepy snails and the third day without daylight weren’t her romantic vision, sure. But. She feels safe here, with him, and she hopes he feels safe with her. She had meant what she had said, a few days back, when he spilled his fears and his history on the floor of their wagon. She didn’t think he was a bad person. And the way he looked at her when she said it, man, he wanted to believe it. He wanted to believe it so bad.
She ought to let him know. She ought to tell him, again, that she believes in goodness in him. She believes in love in his heart. She ought to tell him right now, in this glittering cave with his heart and arms bare before her. She ought to tell him in a way where he can’t argue back ‘cause his face will be preoccupied.
It would be so easy …

IV.
“YOU GUYS!”
She practically burst the door to their new ally’s house down with excitement when she got back, holding out the little striped carrying box in front of her like it’s the coolest loot they’ve ever found. She bounces on her toes, making it hard for anyone to get a real look at the confections inside.
“What do you have?” he asks, knowing she wants to tell him.
“Cupcakes!” she beams back.
“A lot of them, or?”
She flips the lid up and pushes her nose nearly into the icing topping as she examines the haul. “Well I have thirteen here, so … one, two, three -”
He almost says the numbers along with her. Counting things and making Jester smile are both muscle memory at this point.
“ - six, so good! That’s one for each of you and the rest for me!”
He looks in the box properly now, the counting having slowed her jitteriness enough for him to try and piece out flavors. There’s some dark ones that could be chocolate, but he doubts it, and some that are paler, dotted with blue. He reaches for a blueberry one, and takes a cautious bite.
“Caleb,” she says, pouting, and he’s worried he wasn’t supposed to try one, “you are Missing. Out.”
She sticks her face in towards him, to make sure he can get a good look at this reprimand. She’s got a little bit of icing stuck in the corner of her mouth.
“You can get blueberry cupcakes anywhere.”
He keeps his eyes trained on her, longer than he really ought to, but he’s trying to figure it out.
Is that a challenge, Lavorre? Is that a promise?
It would be so easy...

She has to get up on her tip toes to reach the shelf where they keep the scribing paper, pulling the stack towards her so she can count out sheets.
“About 300 gold?”
“Mmm.”
She counts out the sheets, thumbing them forward into a little pile that she pulls apart, before stretching up to push the rest back onto the shelf. She turns on her heel and marches for the front counter. He lingers a moment to straighten the pile on the shelf, and trails after her.
His gaze is buried in the inside of his coat as he searches for his coin purse. His hands are still buzzing, just a little, from where she held them earlier and promised him she’d be at his side. He can’t stop thinking about it. It’s distracting him from getting his coins.
The distinctive clink of metal on countertop jerks his gaze up just as he reaches his hand in for the first coin. She’s already dropped the gold in a neat little pile, pleasantly smiling at the clerk as she snaps the clasp on her purse shut.
“That’s very generous of you,” he says, hand still frozen holding his own money.
She swings around, flashing a thumbs up and a grin. She holds it a little too long for comical effect. Of course, he snickers.
She turns to the paper on the countertop, making to gather it in her arms, but he starts, and she turns back to face him. He’s frozen there, hand just barely outstretched for her, mouth agape like he was going to say something.
What is there to say? What can he possibly say to her, to repay everything she’s ever said to him? What can he say that’s worth the sound of her laugh, and the way her tongue sticks out a little when she smiles? What’s worth the way she brightens up a room even when she’s grumpy, the bubble to his gloom?
What measures up to a tap on his shoulder as he turns to leave his study, and hands in his as she swears, with the most somber honesty he’s ever seen, that she watched him face what he could have been, tied up like a feral beast in a prison cell, and she stares in his eyes and tells him it’s ok, she saw it and loved him even through it, and then bought him presents afterwards just because?
He’ll never deserve her, he swears.
She’s still looking at him, expectantly, and his mouth is still stuck open, and his hand is still halfway between the two of them. Maybe it’s just him, but the memory of her holding it seems to be burning even hotter.
He tries to say something again, and the words aren’t coming out. She’s still waiting on him, expression starting to tip towards worry as he tries and fails to express just how overflowed his heart is right now. He can’t say it but gods, she ought to know how much she’s worth to him. Maybe he can just show her. He’ll tell her later.
It would be so easy …

VI.
The hallway is orange. Pale, warm, sort-of-translucent orange, swirling about her in patterns of lollipops and unicorn hamsters. Her own spells wrapped in the tender grip of his magic, handed to her with something like reverence.
I believe, he had said, I have no choice.
He’d done little things like this before, casting spells to make her and everyone else happier, letting her play with his cat because it made her smile. But he said he’d been working on this for weeks. Pouring time and sweat and his precious paper into making this thing, just for her. Everyone liked to tease her about the Traveler and how it was totally a cult, and usually she let it roll off her back, even if it stung a little on impact. And Caleb was here, telling her he took her belief in the Traveler at face value, simply because it was hers.
I don’t know anything about faith, he had said, I am learning from you.
He was a suspicious man. She knew that. He held grudges, and he mistrusted, and he had every right to. And yet all these months, he’s been putting everything he had in her hands, sure that she would not drop it. She would hold it as gently as she could.
I am the transmutation wizard, he had said, but you are the one who changes people.
How was he supposed to know that was what she was afraid of, leaving no mark on the world at all? How was he supposed to know she made art everywhere she got the chance to in hopes that she would stop being erased, start existing outside of one little room and a handful of people?
He wouldn’t have any reason to, except for he knew her so well, better than nearly anyone. He could tell when doubt was crawling up out of her gut, spilling its black tendrils from her mouth and across her eyes. He could see when the veneer got scratched, and he knew how to brush it just so, so it looked okay again. He knew how to comfort her.
“It’s beautiful.”
She knows it’s barely anything, but she doesn’t know what else to say. It caught her by surprise, and she’s reeling a little in the aftermath of seeing just how far he’s willing to go for her.
He says something else, she barely processes, but it’s enough to get her babbling about some kind of performance. She trips over her words a little, she’s just so excited. He can tell, he smiles, and that just makes her heart jump even more.
“But you have done so much for m- for all of us,” he says, and he’s not sneaky.
For me. She knows he was going to say it. For me.
Tears are almost brimming in her eyes, happy ones, and he put them there. Done so much for her, she thinks, has he counted how much he’s done for me? She’s clasping her hands at her mouth, trying to keep all her feelings from coming out at once.
He doesn’t know the half of it, everything he’s done for her. To make her feel safe, to make her feel smart, to make her feel seen, to make her feel believed in. He doesn’t know it at all, and yet the hallway is orange as a testament to how much he’s done, and she can’t let the sentiment go unreturned.
It would be so easy …
*******
VII.
“Didn’t go as well as you were hoping?”
His voice seems to startle her, as if she’d forgotten in her sadness that there were other people around her. He knew the feeling.
“In some ways it went better?” she says, doubting it even as it leaves her mouth. “But. No.”
His face softens. It’s the only thing he can do, really.
Her breath is coming out shaky.
“I can’t speak for him,” he starts, offering what little encouragement he can, “but you do have us.”
“I know,” she answers, grateful even through the sadness.
“So, whatever you land on. Jester.” He stops for a second, letting her name linger in his mouth. “We will make it happen.”
She nods, curt, tears still pricking in her eyes. “I have to figure out what I want to land on.”
He laughs, hollow and breathy, what else is there to do. He starts to reach his hand out for her, and catches it, his own hesitance getting the better of him.
He knows what he wants her to land on, he’s known for … longer than he really cares to admit. He knows he’d follow her to hell and back, that’s why he’s here on this island with her.
He knows how hard it is to love without a compass to direct it. He knows that moonlight makes selfishness a much more appealing color.
It’s dark, and he’s hopelessly in, and she’s searching for a place to not be so alone. He could show her a place to land.
It would be so easy …

He’s holding it out to her, a black ball clutched between his fingertips, just a little iridescent in the blazing sun overhead. He’s grinning, and his eyes are bright. He looks so happy, for just this moment, with a pearl in his hand.
Forget the water pouring down their faces as they come up from the murk, plastering their hair to their foreheads at odd angles. Forget the wrench in both their guts about the monster brewing beneath their feet and in their minds. Forget the clothes sticking to their skin in all the wrong spots. Forget the sounds of their friends arguing twenty feet back.
She jumped in the water with him for a reason, because he wanted pearls, and she wanted him to be happy, and he’s holding one out to her right now because he is, and that’s all she could really ask for.
Maybe it’ll be extra wet and slippery. Maybe it’ll taste like salt and seaweed and that weird fish stink that all bodies of water seem to have. Maybe her hands are covered in sand and they’ll get some in their mouths and it’ll be disgusting.
Who cares? She jumped in the water with him and he’s happy.
It would be so easy …

The funny thing is, when she was little, she actually planned her wedding in this room. The canopy bed would double as the altar, gauze draping about them and the window lighting them from the back as they knelt with their hands together, wrapping them up with silk ribbon as someone spoke some formal rites. Mama would sit in the guest of honor chair at Jester’s desk, a tear running down her cheek as she watched her baby girl marry the love of her life.
Now Caleb’s in here with her and she’s realizing there’s no good angle to get the window backlight and be in full view of her Mama.
He’s lying down on the bed, because she told him to. She’s flopped down next to him, squirmed up into his side with the excuse of “small bed” but the intent of “I like the way I rest against your side”.
He’d commented on her array of books - she knew he would. She may or may not have pulled the smarter looking titles up to the front a few visits ago, just in case.
He’d looked at her artwork too, spanning the walls in all its multicolored glory. He’d bent down to get a good look at her earliest, shittiest paintings. But not in the way where he wanted to see how bad they were, to laugh at. In the same way he looked at new artifacts they’d picked up along the road, as he traced his runes for Identify. Like he was trying to glean a missed history out of them, to get to know just a little bit more about what was in front of him now.
So she’s curled into his chest, careful with her horns, wrapping her hand over his to point out every last detail. Her other hand falls to his stomach, her fingers brush his, and neither of them pull away.
She always figured they’d fall like this, her and her husband, backward onto the bed after the ribbon was knotted to finalize their union. They’d be too happy to stand and they’d just collapse at each other’s side, and they’d plan their honeymoon like this. Pointing out places they wanted to go in her little snapshot of the cityscape, nestled into each other’s chests.
Caleb’s enraptured, she can hear excitement in his breath, and she’s more than a little pleased. She didn’t know people cared this much about her art, about her childhood, about who she was before she became who she is. She hopes she has all the time in the world to tell him more.
She’s still on his chest, their hands are still touching, even though she’s finished pointing out the painted landmarks. She’s kissed a lot of imaginary boys in this room.
It would be so easy …

Spinning with her arms out, feet tracing circles in the snow, they haven’t even made it to the dance hall yet and she’s already waltzing like he taught her all those months ago in a scroungy gnomish bar. The cold is bringing a flush to her cheeks and god damn it, it’s cute. She’s humming.
They could get inside where it’s warm, where they don’t need to get close for heat but they do anyway. Wrap an arm around her waist and take her hand in his. Keep her close enough to hear her giggle with each twirl he leads her on. Get drunk off her smile alone.
Find a far corner where the music is softer and they have space to just sway together. Write new memories over old, equally as sweet, slightly less bitter. Look at that smile that won’t have faded since before they stepped through the door. Run his fingers across her jaw, save this moment in tactile too. Lean down in slow motion, as she stretches up.
It would be so easy …

“What are you drawing?” he asks, not even looking up from his spells. He’s grown comfortable with having her in his space.
“A cup of hot cocoa.”
“Are there dicks in it?”
“No, just two very lovely marshmallows.”
His head lifts up at that, gazing at her with the gleam he’s been giving his runes. He’s trying to figure her out.
“Shnuggling up next to each other,” she continues. “With consent.”
“We’re not talking about grass are we?”
“No. I’m talking about marshmallows.”
“Marshmallows?” The gleam in his eye grows a little brighter. He leans a little closer. “I thought there was a hidden meaning for a second.”
There’s a reason why she sat down here, why she wanted him next to her as she thought about love and commitment, and telling people things after all these months. There’s a reason why he didn’t start as she settled at his side. There’s a reason why he’s looking at her with a cocked grin on his face, sure of himself, in a way that he so rarely is.
Maybe she wanted him to figure her out. Maybe she’s been trying to get him to figure her out for a while. He’s starting to turn back to his spells, so maybe she needs to get even a little more obvious.
It would be so easy...

XII.
She knocked on the door with her heart already in her throat, but the second she stepped through the door and saw him looking over at her, tired but welcoming, it started to settle back where it belonged.
“Caleb. Will you cast tongues on me? YouknowImeanthespell,” she said, rushing words out because her heart was starting to leap back up again. “I just want to read the book.”
He nervously tucks some hair behind his ear. “I could read it to you, if you want?”
She knew he’d offered before, but she’s still surprisingly happy that he’s done it again. “Okay.”
He stands, wiping stained ink from his fingers on his pants as he leaves his desk, gesturing her over towards his fireplace. She swears as she walks over the flames get a little taller. She’s always liked it warmer than Caleb does.
She flops down onto the couch, wiggling a little bit to get comfortable. She pats the seat next to her and he obliges. She holds the book out and he takes it from her, so very gently, and she can’t tell if it’s just the way he treats books, or the way he treats her, or both.
He clears his throat as he prepares to open the cover, glancing over to make sure she’s ready. She scooches a bit closer, resting her cheek against his shoulder, you know, to see the pictures better, and hums to let him know he can start.
He talks to her in a quiet kind of voice. It’s soft, and it makes his chest rumble, and it feels like home. She could close her eyes and fall asleep here, and she can bet he wouldn’t even get up and risk disturbing her. She nearly does, but he’s stopping every few sentences to show her the pictures, without her even asking, he just knows she wants to see them. He’s pointing out the hidden cat on every page. She loves that he still remembers where they all are.
“That was a happy story, Caleb!” she says, mostly to his shoulder, because she doesn’t want to move from where she’s nestled herself.
“Mhm,” he agrees. “That’s why my mother read it to me.”
“I really thought, like, the cat prince was going to trap him in there forever, and then he wouldn’t be able to go and see his mother.” She cranes her head up now, propping her chin on his arm, stabilizing herself with arms she was barely aware she’d wrapped around his waist.
“Well,” he says, turning his head towards her and finding their noses nearly touching, “a lot of Zemnian stories do end that way.”
She laughs, he smiles, and neither of them want to move.
“The Cat Prince kind of reminds me of the Traveler,” she muses. She buries her face back in his shoulder as she talks, squeezing her arms a little tighter around him.
“It’s true, isn’t it?”
It’s a question only in technicality. The way his voice sounds as he says it, she can tell. He’s read so many stories, he could have picked any to leave in her room, but he chose this one about a boy and a bedroom and a magic cat and a brief escape, with a happy ending. He knew she’d ask. He wanted her to.
She’s glad she did. She’s glad he knows her so well. She’s glad for the way he turned up the fire to make her comfortable. She’s glad for the smile that’s still on his lips, lasting longer than his smiles usually do. She’s glad she’s here with him, after everything they’ve seen and heard and done. She’s just glad.
Gods, she’s so in love with him.
It would be so easy.

City of splintering hopes: Chapter 2 "Cave of stars"
~~~
~~~
Danny woke up Saturday morning feeling well rested and refreshed, so he was immediately suspicious about what the day would bring. The last time he had woken up feeling so well was before The accident so roughly 2 years of either nightmares, insomnia, or a ghost waking him had him jumpy at the prospect of a good night's sleep.
He did all his usual checks to make sure nothing was wrong but as he headed down for breakfast it seemed that everything was perfectly fine. Suspicious.
Danny just shrugged though as he ate his almost certainly ecto-contaminated cereal before leaving the house as quickly as possible to avoid helping his parents test any new inventions. Of course he always kept an eye on whatever they were creating, in case it was anything actually dangerous he would need to destroy but the day had started suspiciously well and he wanted to keep that good times streak going for as long as possible. Not getting hit in the head with the boo-merang was something he was eager to do.
He quickly met up with Tucker and Sam at the Nasty burger but as they talked about school and which ghosts they were betting on appearing today Danny felt weighed down as the events of yesterday found their way back to the forefront of his thoughts.
"Hey, earth to Danny" Sam said, snapping her fingers infront of his face. Oh, he must have spaced out.
"We know you wanna be an astronaut dude but don't you think it's a little early?" Tucker joked between stuffing his face full of fries.
Danny chuckled at his friends attempt at humor but it came out more forced than anything "Sorry, just thinking about some stuff. Can I get your guys opinion on something?" Danny asked and both Sam and Tucker gave him their full attention as he started explaining what had happened yesterday.
At the end of the recounting Tucker exclaimed "Yes! You should totally go!" Loud enough to get a few heads turned but he quieted himself down and soon everyone at the fast food joint was once again minding their own business.
"It does sound like a good opportunity. Plus it's not like anything bad is guaranteed to happen. My prediction is worst case scenario you come back with nothing new" Sam said with a shrug.
"Yeah, I guess your right. I mean it's just some old abandoned buildings and stuff they might've left behind, nothing that can hurt right?" Danny reasoned, finally he was starting to get over his slight paranoia.
"Exactly! But if you do find anything cool be sure to tell us about it" Tucker added and Danny nodded along. Of course he would tell his friends, they knew pretty much everything about eachother and would always come to eachother when they needed to talk to someone.
"Well if you want to go today then you should get going, the Far Frozen is a 2 hour flight and you don't know how long you'll need to travel from there to get to these ruins" Sam said. Danny had also explained to them his feelings on not wanting to wait too long if he did decide to go and she could tell that Danny's curiosity that he inherited from his parents wouldn't let him just walk away from this one.
"Oh, yeah you're right!" Danny shot up but before he could move he looked at his two friends with concern "You guys gonna be okay protecting Amity on your own?" Danny asked.
"It's all good. We have our thermos' and some Fenton anti-ghost weapons that actually work so we should be fine!" Tucker waved off Danny's concerns.
"But, if anything does happen that we can't handle well call you. That ease your worries?" Sam asked with a smirk and Danny rolled his eyes fondly before waving goodbye and heading home.
It was the same as what he did yesterday. Go through the portal invisibly, make the long fly to the Far Frozen and go see Frostbite. Of course now it was for different reasons than a check up or just the usual friendly visit.
Danny's thoughts had nearly spiralled three times on the flight over to the Far Frozen but he had been getting better at grounding himself so he managed to catch any worries or doubts that may have caused him to turn around.
Finally he landed in the freezing tundra and almost immediately was engulfed in a hug from the large Yeti. His white fur made him blend into the surroundings so well Danny hadn't spotted him initially.
"Great One!" Frostbite yelled happily as he put Danny back down. It didn't matter how many times or how often Danny visited Frostbite was always ecstatic to see him.
"Hey Frosty" Danny gave his old mentor a smile before awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck, a nervous habit he had for as long as he could remember.
"Have you... thought about what I suggested?" Frostbite asked, immediately understanding why Danny was here. It was always easy to forget that Frostbite was alot smarter than he seemed, he had given Danny wise words of advice on more than one occasion and it was obvious when he was around his tribe how great his leadership skills were.
"Yeah I have and... do you think you could? Take me to the ruins? I want to know more about people like me and this might be the only way..." Danny rambled a little. He didn't know why he felt like he needed to justify himself to Frostbite. Frostbite knew why he was here already, he had suggested it, so why did Danny feel like this was something he needed an excuse for?
"Of course. I can't show you to the ruins themselves unfortunately but I can show you how to get to them" Frostbite said as he turned around and started walking away from Danny, making a 'follow me' gesture.
Danny was as stiff as a board as he followed Frostbite. Hypervigilant and examining all his surroundings closely like he expected something to jump out and attack him.
They walked down a path Danny hadn't seen before, it lead away from where Danny knew the Yeti tribe to be living, leading further and further into the tundra and up the ice mountains.
After maybe around an hour of walking in silence, only the wind and crunch of snow under their feet filling it, they came to a stop on the mountain side. Infront of them stood a large entrance to a very dark cave.
"Through here, on the other side are the ruins" Frostbite gestured and seemed to wait for Danny to go in but Danny hesitated.
"Why can't you lead me the rest of the way?" He asked.
"This cave leads to the hidden lands, as some call them, it is where the Halfas once lived. Only a Halfa or those given special permission to pass can make it through the labyrinth of the cave, I have tried but I always end up coming back out this side despite never remembering turning around" Frostbite explained and Danny just gulped nervously.
"If only a Halfa could get through then how did Pariah Dark attack the Halfas, shouldn't they have been safe in these 'Hidden lands'?" Danny asked nervously.
"I... do not know. Many of the allies of the Halfas thought the same thing. There was a legend- no, a rumour that a ghost that had the ability to track Halfas helped Pariah Dark but that's all that was, a rumour" Frostbite shrugged, a thoughtful look on his face.
Danny nerves weren't calming down but something in his core urged him to go through the cave. He didn't know what it was but ever since The accident Danny's instincts had always been trustworthy so he took a steadying breath before walking forward into the cave.
He heard Frostbite wish him good luck as he entered.
The cave was alot warmer than he was expecting. Of course thanks to his ice core he couldn't get cold necessarily but the change in temperature didn't go unnoticed by him. The light from the snow white tundra quickly disappeared the further in he went until he was engulfed in complete darkness, apart from the soft glow he himself was giving off. The sounds of the howling winds had faded until they could barely be heard anymore and Danny was really considering turning around and leaving because the idea of stumbling around in a dark labyrinth cave wasn't exactly the most appealing.
Then he blinked as he noticed something, a light.
Not really it was more like a dot, a small dot of light in the dark.
He decided to continue walking and the longer he walked the more of these small dots of the light appeared until there were so many it lit up the icy cave in a pale glow, the lights all reflecting off of the ice.
Danny stopped as he stared in wonder at the sight.
The first thing that came to Danny's mind were the stars, the night sky. It was beautiful how the small points of light work together to illuminate the dark cave.
Then Danny noticed something as he continued walking. The dots were disappearing behind him but appearing infront of him as he walked. Then he took a turn and the dots stopped appearing.
"Huh..." Danny backtracked and took the other turn. The dots started appearing again, lighting the way for the young Halfa.
"Cool" Danny whispered into the silence of the cave was he followed the direction of the dots of light. Finally Danny turned a corner and he saw the end of the cave, an end that even from the distance Danny could tell didn't lead out into the cold tundra of the Far Frozen. As he closed the distance he could see the green swirling clouds of ectoplasm only they were lighter? A much lighter green than that of the normal sky of the Ghost Zone.
Finally Danny exited the cave and found his core humming nicely at the sight before him.
A city.
A large and grand one, made of a pale sandy coloured stone that reminded Danny of the housing they had in Egypt. The city was still a distance away so Danny couldn't see the architecture too closely but he could see a path leading down the no longer snowy mountain side to a bridge between the city and the cliff drop of the mountain.
A strange thing Danny noticed was the fact that the city didn't rest on an island that was floating, suspended in mid air. Instead the island stretched downwards into the dark abyss of the Ghost Zone, as if connected to solid ground all the way down in it's depths.
Danny was ecstatic.
He quickly flew down to the bridge, and walked it's length up to the gates of the city.
Standing at the city's ground level made it all the more grand and imposing.
But it also made Danny now notice the ruins part of it. The gate, that Danny had no doubt was once grand and tall standing, was nothing but rubble and fallen stone.
Danny took a fortifying breath.
Up until then Danny hadn't really thought about what he was truly walking into. This wasn't just a museum or some natural history tour. These were ruins, this was the home of a slaughter people. This place wasn't just their home, it was probably their grave as well.
He needed to be careful.
He couldn't go walking into this like a naive child, he came here to understand and to understand he needed to treat this place with the respect it deserved.
So he flew into the city, hopefully he could learn something from what was left behind.

Voluntary Victim - Yandere! Yoongi x reader
Warning: Sexual content
Finding a victim was like shooting fish in a barrel. Dozens of young men and women surrounded her, each adorned with accessories bought with daddy’s money and high to the heavens on whatever substance they could find.
The boy who had his arm around their waist at that moment seemed a bit more refined than the others - he was worth a million dollars, sure, but he at least seemed to be a bit more modest.
They stopped trying to spy the drunken boy they’d just seen sneak off into the restroom and turned to focus the gentleman by their side.
“Hi! My friends call me Angel.” They shouted over the thumping bass, watching in amusement as the young man’s eyebrows furrowed in trying to hear what they were saying.
“That name suits you. I’m Yoongi.” He replied simply. “Do you want a drink?”
“Of course.” (Y/N) gave him a cheeky smile and took his hand within their own to lead him towards the bar.
“What will you be having?” He called out over the music once they had arrived.
“Surprise me.” Was all they said. A simple tactic really - made them think they cared about his opinion, that they would do as they pleased.
He nodded and as soon as he made eye contact with one of the bar staff they abandoned the gaggle of people trying to flag them down and listened intently as he leaned over to talk into their ear.
That was how they knew they had struck gold. The bartender didn’t even hesitate in making their drinks right away, and the lack of payment screamed that he was on some kind of guest list.
Once he had passed one of the glasses over to (Y/N), the glint in his eye said that their night was going according to plan.
“Are you here often?” He raised his voice slightly, and (Y/N) shook their head in response.
“First time. Maybe you can show me around?”
“What?” He leaned in closer, his body pressing deliciously close to theirs. “I can’t hear you.”
“I’ve never been here before. Are you a regular?”
He shook his head, though they weren't sure if it was because of the question or because of their uncomfortable conditions.
“Should we find somewhere a bit quieter?” (Y/N) nodded, and with their cocktail in one hand and his warm hand clasping their other Yoongi led them through one of the staff only doors - receiving affirming nods from the staff along the way - and into a more secluded lounge.
There were LED lights lining the walls lighting the room up into a rich royal blue, and there were leather sofas and coffee tables dotted around.
“Normally this is where we hold member’s parties. But tonight, Father said I could have it to myself, and whichever guests I please.”
Yoongi hummed, leading them gently to one of the sofas and placing his drink down on the table so that both his hands were now free. (Y/N) took a sip for courage before following suit.
“What do you do for a living then?” They asked, her fingertips subtly rubbing circles into his thigh.
“I’m training to take over my father’s business.” He answered simply. “What about you, Angel?”
“I’m studying English.” (Y/N) purred, leaning in slightly. “But I don’t have any plans for the future, unlike you.”
“Pretty young things like you don’t need a plan when there’s men like me to take care of you.”
“Maybe so. Or maybe I could take care of you.” Yoongi smirked at their comment, leaning forward to grab his drink.
“I’m sure you can, baby.”
They continued to caress his thigh as he drank.
“You know, you seem so well spoken, Angel. There’s more to your pretty little head than most the vermin out there.” (Y/N) wanted to vomit, but they kept up their saccharine smile.
“Really?” It was time to make their move. “I know how else I can prove to you how much better I am than those other whores, you know.”
He raised his eyebrows, intrigued, as they pressed a sloppy kiss to his lips.
Their fingers found the buttons on his neatly pressed shirt and slowly started to pop them open.
“Can I ask you something…?” They whispered, their fingertips tracing over the smooth skin of his exposed chest and appreciating how he just barely shuddered under her touch.
Yoongi nodded, imploring them to go on.
“I’ve always wanted to be more… adventurous. But none of the guys I’ve fucked have ever wanted to try anything with me. But I know you’re far better than them, right?”
There was some unknown emotion glazing over Yoongi’s eyes - intrigue, maybe mixed with some jealousy?
“Will you let me…” They dug into their wallet, and pulled out a pair of steel handcuffs. “put these on you?”
He visibly gulped, but (Y/N) could tell by the flush covering his cheeks that they had him hook, line and sinker.
“Please, gorgeous. Make this night special for me?” They purred. Finally, he gave them an apprehensive nod and they sat up with a happy smirk.
Their fingers ran up and down the smooth pale skin of his arm, before they gently pulled on his shirt and pushed him to the ground, right next to the coffee table.
Yoongi’s eyes were shining as “Angel” sat on his lap, looking at them like they were a gift granted by heaven. His breathing only got heavier as they pressed their chest to his, taking his wrists and securing them behind the leg on the coffee table. When they were done, they pressed a kiss to Yoongi’s neck and he felt his face burn up as if he was eight years old.
However, rather than attempting to make any more advances as he was hoping, his companion’s focus changed entirely.
“Your watch is very nice.”Their fingers danced along his wrist, fiddling with the expensive leather. “How much did it cost you?”
“That doesn’t matter.” He huffed. “Chicken feed, darling. Please…?”
(Y/N) just continued to inspect it and ignore his subtle whines for attention.
“I could get a pretty penny for this, couldn’t I?” Yoongi felt his heart drop as he felt them unclasp it and hold it up to the light. “Cartier, one of a kind. Mind if I keep it?”
“Whatever, please just-”
“What else do you have on you?” Tucking the watch into their wallet, they finally made eye contact with him again.
Yoongi didn’t reply, a frustrated sigh leaving his lips.
“Did you bring your wallet?”
He shook his head, but they stuck their hand into his jacket pocket and found the thick wad of leather tucked away. With an impressed whistle they flicked through the cash whilst tipping his credit cards onto the floor.
“You… you can have it all. It doesn’t matter.” Yoongi rattled the chains again, desperately trying to get free.
“Thank you.” They smiled, shoving the wallet into their pocket. “Where’s your phone?”
“My back pocket.” The young man hissed. “Please, if you just want my money baby-”
“Shut it.” (Y/N) shot back as they retrieved his top model phone and chucked out the SIM card. “If you start making a fuss I’ll shut you up myself.”
He blushed. Clearly, he was some kind of fucked up to be aroused by this.
“I think I might- wait, what is this?” A smile settled on (Y/N)’s face as they unclasped the chain from his neck and admired how it shone in the LED lights.
“Anyway, as I was saying, I think it’s time I take my leave. The night’s still young.”
They pressed a kiss to his flushed cheek.
“Thank you for the great time.”
“No, don’t go. Please, you can have my shit, just come back here!” Yoongi whined as she walked away with a spring in their step, shutting the door behind them to cut off his cries from the outside world as they escaped the stuffy nightclub and out into the cool midnight air.
◦◦,`°.✽✦✽.◦.✽✦✽.°`,◦◦
Most people who’d been seduced, tied up and robbed would be humiliated, but not Yoongi. Rather, the only thing he held against his angel was that they’d left him. His wallet could be easily refilled, his jewellery and phone could be replaced, but ‘Angel’ was one of a kind and he wanted to have them.
He’d eventually managed to escape his bondage, tipping over the coffee table and sliding his hands out. Although he had to find one of the employees to help him out of the handcuffs, the embarrassment didn’t set in. Instead, he sought out one of the bouncers and pulled them to the side to ask if they’d seen someone called Angel. After nearly ten minutes of describing their ethereal appearance the bouncer was able to recall their existence, but unable to give Yoongi any more information.
But from that day forward, they had a stranglehold on his mind. His thoughts were overridden with fantasies of what could have happened if ‘Angel’ had stayed - them gripping his throat with those silky fingers, marking his neck with their teeth, unbuttoning his pants and taking him into their mouth…
They were addictive. He found himself trying his hardest to seek them out again - he knew she wouldn’t return to his father’s nightclub, so he explored every other one in the city. He’d scoured the CCTV cameras in the club and managed to find a (somewhat blurry) still, which he’d enhanced and printed out. Not only did he keep a copy to himself - tucked away in his work diary so that he could see them every day - but he circulated it to all of the clubs he could reach, asking them to call him if they ever saw his angel for a handsome reward.
But months passed with no news, and rather than recovering Yoongi’s obsession only got worse. He spent hours futilely searching for the name they’d given him on the internet with no reward, but he couldn’t stop.
“Can I pay with cash, please?” Yoongi had been half-asleep, the night before having sapped him of all energy that could only be perked up with coffee, when he heard that voice. That unforgettable voice. The one that haunted his dreams every night and the one he’d been craving to hear.
“Of course. Could I have a name for your order?”
“(Y/N).” Yoongi’s heart sunk. Had he gotten his hopes up over the wrong person? Had he been so deluded in his desire for his angel that he’d started to hallucinate about them?
But when (Y/N) stepped to the side to wait for their coffee, he finally saw their profile and he knew they were the one who had captured his heart. That was why it had been impossible to find them, because they’d given him a fake name!
His heart was beating a thousand beats a second as he watched them take the coffee from the barista and flash the worker a smile whilst sliding them a tip. God, how he hoped he would soon be the recipient of one of those dazzling expressions.
All thoughts of caffeine were wiped out as he had now found his real drug, abandoning the queue to quietly follow them out of the cafe at a safe distance.
‘They haven’t changed at all. I guess you can’t improve on perfection.’
Yoongi admired them as she walked. They still had glowing skin, the most perfect body in his eyes, and an unmatched energy that drew him in.
It was tricky blended into the background, especially when the crowds thinned out and he was following them into a smaller neighbourhood. His heart was thudding, and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to be caught or not. He didn’t know what was driving him to follow them and why he hadn’t already spoken up.
(Y/N) wasn’t stupid. They stopped in place to get out their phone and observed how the hooded man also stopped a few metres away.
“Stop following me or I’ll call the police.” They called out.
Yoongi took a few steps forward.
“What will they do? Give me a slap on the wrist for being a naughty boy?”
Their brow furrowed. Did they recognise his voice? God, he hoped that was the case. He was ready to get down on his knees and beg for their love.
“Whatever. Just leave me alone, freak.” They hissed, unlocking their phone to call their friend, so he could get them the hell out of there.
Starting to panic, he rushed forward and wrenched their phone out of their hands, throwing it to the ground and digging his heel into the screen for good measure. For a second, there was silence only permeated by Yoongi’s heavy breathing.
“Someone-!”
Their plea for help was cut off by his hand pressed against their mouth.
“Can we continue this conversation elsewhere? My hotel room, perhaps?”
The blush on this psycho’s cheeks as his hands grasped theirs sickened (Y/N) to no end. Did he think this was a normal way to hit on someone, by breaking their phone and kidnapping them?
“I’m not going anywhere-”
“I’ll call the chauffeur. Don’t worry, he won’t be long.”
(Y/N) was still trying to pry his fingers from their own, but they were like iron.
“Who the fuck are you?” They hissed.
“You don’t remember me?” His eyes were filled with hurt, and the hand clutching his phone was trembling as he held it to his ear, clearly following through on his words.
“Yoongi. You introduced yourself to me as Angel, I bought you a drink and we went into the private lounge for a chat?”
‘Shit.’
It clicked, (Y/N) knew exactly who he was. They’d made so much selling his one-of-a-kind Cartier watch that they’d been able to move cities and settle into a new profession entirely.
Most rich kids were ashamed when (Y/N) got the best of them, and few chased after them for revenge. But Yoongi had a different kind of fire in his eyes.
“Look, you can have all the money I have leftover you want? I swear, we can replace everything I took-”
“Oh no, it’s all yours, baby. I want you to have that, and so much more too.” Yoongi was way too calm, his smile way too sincere. He was absolutely off his rocker. “Anything you need to take from me, it’s yours. But I want something in return, you understand?”
(Y/N) felt a shiver go down their spine when a sleek black car, with tinted windows, drew up.
“Come on. You still have a lot to prove to me, right?”

‘the doctor’ / Midoriya x Reader
Uwu, this is the first official post that hasn’t been imported from the other blog ( ´ ω ` ) Also, this has been sitting around on my computer for the past two months, so enjoy these crumbs while I strive to finish up the semester!
warnings: NSFW, doctor/patient relationship, grinding, heavy petting, fascination for hybrids?, y’all fuck but I didn’t write the whole thing
words: 3,752
(a/n): hehehehehe add this to the list of taboo relationship works I’ve done
-
“The doctor will see you now.”
The secretary sitting behind the desk flashes you a smile as you pass by her. The two of you are already on a first name basis, considering that you have biweekly checkups. With a quirk like yours, it can be detrimental to your health if it goes unchecked for too long. You have enough meds in your system to possibly knock out a small child, but you’ve long since grown used to it.
Still, as you pass from the waiting room and into the hall leading to numerous checkup rooms, your palms feel impossibly clammy. Your previous doctor recently retired after spending so many years in the field, and now you were supposed to meet your new doctor. Granted, your previous one told you many great things about this new kid, about how he’ll take great care of you. You’re not too confident in the sudden change, but it can’t be helped. Unless you wanted to suffer horribly, you had to seek some type of help.
Shuffling to room number six, you silently close the door behind you and take a deep breath. Your intestines feel unusually tight, ache with an indescribable force. Despite your quirk being a relatively simple one – doggification, which essentially means you have the characteristics and properties of a dog – your body could never get quite a grasp on it. Despite looking entirely like a human, your telltale features are the ears and tail protruding from your body. Even now, you can tell your ears are flat against your head and your tail is tucked between your legs.
Gently, you sit on the table, the parchment paper crinkling under your weight. Wringing your hands, you will your breathing to ease, your mind to relax. It’s only the doctor’s office, nothing more, nothing less. You’ve been here practically all your life, so what gives? Oh, that’s right – a new doctor who you’ve never met before.
A few minutes pass; nothing happens besides the tick tock tick tock of the lone clock hanging from the wall, the slight hum from the lightbulbs. Your nerves feel raw, your heart frantic, your breathing irregular. You constantly remind yourself that you’re fine, you’re just nervous. You’re here for a reason, after all. If you want to continue living healthily, you need this treatment. There’s no point in chickening out now.
Just then, the door swings open; you jump in your place as you snap back to reality. Pulse quickening, you’re left wide-eyed as the doctor comes in. He’s nothing like you were expecting – instead of some elderly gentleman like your previous doctor, this new guy is young. He’s ridiculously cute, a mess of green curls piled on his head and a burst of freckles adorning his skin. For a doctor, he surprisingly has an athletic build, so you’re left wondering if he exercises regularly or played a sport in school. But oh, the way his scrubs cling to his meaty arms, stretch over his thick thighs. It’s almost ridiculous how baby-faced he is, especially compared to his Adonis-like body.
Without you knowing, your ears and tail stand to attention, curious about this newcomer.
The doctor flashes you a pearly smile as he reaches a hand towards you. “(y/n)? I’m Doctor Midoriya. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Doctor Midoriya.
Yeah, you like the sound of that. And the way your name rolls off your tongue? Perfection.
Hesitantly, you reach out a hand and grasp onto his for a handshake. His hand is large, fingers long and spindly, and his grip is strong. They’re actually pretty, dotted with freckles and striped with scars. Interesting, you muse, wondering just exactly what he did to get scars like that.
“So,” Doctor Midoriya starts, pulling away and planting himself on the stool stationed by the counter, “doggification, huh? You have a typical hybrid quirk, so it seems.” Pausing for a moment, he glances at his notes attached to his clipboard. “But, since you’re part Doberman pinscher, you suffer from dilated cardiomyopathy. The breed usually has problems regarding that, right?”
You nod in confirmation. “Yeah. Apparently, many owners don’t know their dogs have it until they collapse on the ground. I uh, I’ve been dealing with this my whole life, so….”
You really, really like the gentle expression Doctor Midoriya gives you. His cheeks look squishy despite his sharp jawline, lips a delicate shade of dusty rose… Shit, he’s beautiful yet he chose to become a doctor.
“Doctor Torino left his previous files, and I’ve been studying them before he retired,” he explains, drawing himself to a stand. “He was great, wasn’t he? I’m sorry if I don’t own up to your expectations.” Crossing over to the table, he unloops the stethoscope from around his neck and sticks the buds in his ears. “I need you to breathe in and out for me, nice and slow,” he tells you, pressing the cool metal to your chest.
You go through the usual routines, inhaling and exhaling deeply. Doctor Midoriya hums in which you assume is a good way; you can feel your skin heating up whenever large green eyes flick to your face, digging in right to your soul.
“It’s okay to be nervous,” he says, voice low. The deep rumble sets your nerves alight, your insides pulsing. Dare you say it, but you’re disappointed when he pulls away, looping the stethoscope back around his neck. He scribbles something onto his clipboard, his lips pursed in thought. You take the opportunity to study his side profile, the dainty curve of his nose, the angle of his jaw. How big is this guy, anyway? He’s huge for a doctor.
“I’m six-three, if that’s what you’re wondering,” he chirps, tossing down his pencil. He laughs at the startled expression playing on your face. “Sorry, sorry… A uh, a lot of people ask me that, you know? And I typically get a good read on what people are thinking, so… Yeah! Some people used to call me tree in med school! You know, because of the green hair and all…” Clearing his throat awkwardly, he walks back over to where you sit. “How have you been feeling since your last visit?”
Subconsciously rubbing at your chest, you send him a mere shrug. “I’ve been better, I’ve been worse. I’m just bummed Doctor Torino left on such short notice.”
“That makes two of us,” Doctor Midoriya admits, rubbing the back of his neck with a hand. “He’s such a great mentor and all, don’t get me wrong, but it sucks that his time is up.”
Cocking your head, your ears twitch with interest. “Mentor?”
At that, Doctor Midoriya’s face lights up. “Oh! Yeah! I had my internship with Doctor Torino, and he taught me so much!”
“Internship…? Really? I don’t remember seeing you around whenever I had appointments with him.”
“Nah, I don’t think so. I would’ve remembered seeing someone like you!” He giggles – giggles – at his own words, but then it quickly dies down as realization crosses his features. “Wait, wait!” he says frantically, waving his hands before him. “I didn’t mean to sound creepy or anything like that! It’s just that you don’t see hybrids very often, and you’re a dog, and I happen to really like dogs, and I-“ His yammering turns into an incoherent mumble, then, as he awkwardly wrings his hands together.
Heh. He’s pretty cute.
“It’s okay to be nervous,” you say, shooting his own words back at him. “You’re a newbie, right? You’re awfully young for a doctor.”
To your pleasant surprise, Doctor Midoriya blushes. Instinctively, he claps a hand over his mouth and looks away. Again, he clears his throat. “I graduated last year, actually. So yeah, I’m still new to this whole thing, but I want to help as much as I can!” Turning back to you, his flustered expression melts into a determined one. “And since you’re my first serious patient, you can rely on me. I promise to take real good care of you, mark my words.”
You smile. “I look forward to it, Doctor. I expect you to keep that promise.”
-
Three months. Three solid months.
Hypothetically, you should be thrilled being in Doctor Midoriya’s presence so often. Realistically, it’s pure torture.
How this guy doesn’t realize he’s easily the hottest person in the room is beyond you, plus his personality is downright adorable. It’s funny, really, how you’re the one with the dog quirk yet he’s the one who acts more like one. He gets excited over the simplest of things, and you were quick to realize that he’s a giant nerd. It’s clear that he’s got a brain in that skull of his – and, if you’re being entirely honest, it makes Doctor Midoriya that much more attractive.
His constant murmuring and chippering never fail to put a smile on your face. With every appointment you have with him, you purposefully bring up a topic he’s bound to show some interest in just to hear him talk. So yeah, you might be infatuated with your insanely hot doctor, but who can blame you? He’s kindhearted, smart, good-looking, has a good job…. Okay, and maybe he’s packing down south. It’s not your fault that his scrubs clung to his body that one time. You just happened to notice it.
You doubt he’s doing these kind of things on accident. Hell, Doctor Midoriya blatantly flirts with you, for crying out loud. Well, it’s actually more subtle than that, but the point still stands.
“(y/n)?” Doctor Midoriya calls out as he enters the room, the door sliding shut behind him. Warmth floods your chest as your tail sets off in a slow wag. He laughs at your reaction, that toothy smile of his forming on his face. Just like every other time he shows it, you fall a little bit deeper for him.
“Doctor Midoriya,” you greet. Your fingers dig into the table as you bite down on your bottom lip. He looks good, dark blue scrubs shaping his figure nicely. You, on the other hand, stick to a simple pair of gym shorts and t-shirt. It’s a hot day outside, after all.
As Doctor Midoriya scribbles something down on his handy clipboard, you slowly spread your legs further apart. It’s a slight bit, nothing more, but the movement seems to catch his attention. Setting down his pencil, you notice how his eyes linger on your bared thighs for a moment longer than what’s considered appropriate. Slipping the stethoscope from around his neck, he gets up from his stool and crosses to wear you sit.
“Any problems lately?” he asks, voice as professional as always. Sneaky bastard, trying to pretend like he wasn’t just staring at your thighs.
“Besides the weather, not really. The heat makes things a bit easier, though,” you tell him.
Doctor Midoriya hums. Pressing the end of the stethoscope to your chest, he tells you to breathe in and out, nice and deep. “I’m not hearing any abnormalities in your breathing,” he says simply, switching to your back instead. “Besides the DCM, you’re in wonderful health.”
“That’s a relief,” you mutter.
He continues to go through the regular routine of your biweekly checkup. Soon enough, he’s looking through a scope at your dog ears, checking for any signs of an incoming infection. Try as you might, but you enjoy the way he caresses your ear, leaning into his touch as your tail takes off wagging. Doctor Midoriya chuckles, indulging in your wants and giving your ears a proper scratch.
“You really are like a dog,” he points out, his tone lighthearted. “A cute little puppy.” And there he goes, blessing your ears with his giggle. As you glance at him, you see the pretty blush adorning his cheeks, the gleam of mirth in his large eyes.
Puppy.
For some ungodly reason, you really like the way it sounds coming from his mouth.
“You shouldn’t be referring to your patients with a pet name, Doctor,” you drawl.
The blush on his face darkens. In true fashion, he hastily looks away and awkwardly coughs into his fist. “My apologies,” he murmurs. “If… If it’s any consolation, your ears are really soft…”
A small smile pulls at the corners of your lips. “I’m only teasing,” you reassure.
He flinches.
Teasing.
“Besides, you said you really like dogs, right? I think puppy is cute.”
Doctor Midoriya looks back to you. “…Really?”
You nod. “I do.”
For a moment, neither one of you say anything. The look in Doctor Midoriya’s eyes is unreadable; whether that’s a good thing or not, you’re not entirely too sure. He’s usually easy to get a read on, but like this… It’s nearly impossible.
“Do you mind if we check your flexibility? It’s just touching your toes, nothing more. If your back is out, I’ll recommend some chiropractors.”
Okay, strange. You figure he wants to change the subject – you know, and do his job – so you do as he says, hopping down from the table and stepping away. As you bend over, your fingertips skimming the toes of your sneakers, large hands splay out on your back. You jolt from the contact, your breath catching in your throat. Their movements are calculated, feeling along your spine for any sort of abnormality. You can practically feel Doctor Midoriya’s eyes boring into you; the hairs on your arms and the back of your neck come a stand as you wait for him to do something, anything.
“Your spine feels fine,” he tells you. “You feel a bit tense, though. Do you bend over a lot?”
Excuse me?
You scoff. “I’m bending over right now, aren’t I?”
Doctor Midoriya makes some weird choking sound. “No, no, that’s not what I meant! I meant when you sit or something like that…!”
“I’m teasing, Doctor. Relax.” You wiggle underneath his touch. “Am I allowed to stand straight now?”
You can practically feel the tension radiating off him. “I… Not yet. I need to check one last thing, okay?” Again, he uses that low, husky pitch, the one that reverberates deep in his chest. This is only the second time you’re hearing it, but fuck does it make your insides squeeze and your breath hitch.
Before your mind can completely register it, Doctor Midoriya’s large hands are on your ass, kneading the ample flesh through your shorts. A slight groan slips from your mouth at the unexpected contact. Shit, his hands are even larger than you originally thought, his grip rough and demanding.
“Does it hurt?” he continues, his voice staying as it is, making your brain turn delirious.
“N-no,” you stutter. You immediately cuss yourself out internally. A sharp gasp breaks from your throat as one of his hands grips the base of your tail and gives it a slight tug.
“How about now?”
You wince as he does it again. “Yes, okay?” you seethe through clenched teeth. “Just don’t… Don’t tug on my tail like that.”
“So, your ears and tail are sensitive,” Doctor Midoriya mumbles to himself. “Interesting.”
“Doctor, what are you even going on about-“
At that very moment, those strong hands of his yank you backwards, your ass colliding with his pelvis. Heart leaping to your throat, you’re left scrambling for a shred of reality. Doctor Midoriya leans over you, his muscular chest pressing into your back. He’s so warm, and he oddly smells like mint, but it’s not like you’re going to complain anytime soon.
“This is such a bad idea,” he confesses into your ear, “but you’re just so cute, puppy. You like it when I call you that, right?”
“Doctor-“
“Tell me to stop,” he continues, a frantic edge to his voice now, “tell me I’m a disgusting pervert. I shouldn’t be doing this, but shit… I’ve been fantasizing about holding you this close.” Subconsciously, he rocks his hips into you, his engorged cock grinding into your ass.
Shit, shit, is this really happening? Your doctor has just fessed up to fantasizing about you, and, to be quite frank, you’re a bit too happy to hear that. It’s not like he’s the only one feeling this way; you’ve had your fair share of dreams over the months, most of them with him in between your legs in some fashion.
Straightening up, you reach back and grab him by the back of the neck, balancing yourself in his grip. A breathless noise fills your ear as you grind back against him, your nails scratching into his nape.
“O-oh,” he says, the sound delightfully raspy as it fills your ear.
“You aren’t the only one who’s been thinking of things,” you confess, your voice sounding equally as strained. Again, some unholy noise slips from his dusty lips, the grip on your hips tightening ever so slightly.
“Puppy… Don’t say things like that.”
You bark out a laugh. “Don’t tell me you’re going soft, Doctor. Acting like you’re in charge one moment and then like a scared little bunny the next. A big boy like you should choose one and stick with it.”
Now you’ve done it. Like merely flicking a switch, Doctor Midoriya moans into your ear as he spins you around and stumbles backwards, ass landing on the examination table with you in tow. You squeak in surprise as he easily drags you into his lap, lifting you up as though you weighed next to nothing. The lustful haze in his eyes is evident, the blush adorning his face making his freckles pop.
“Shit,” you curse, eyelids fluttering as his cock rubs frantically against your ass. Again, another surprised noise escapes your mouth as he bounces you in his lap, his clothed erection grinding against your ass and sex. A sliver of tongue peeks from between his teeth, the gleam in his eyes nothing short of determination.
“This is so wrong,” Doctor Midoriya murmurs, his fingertips digging harshly into your ass. “But you like it, right? Right, puppy? You want me to fuck you, right? Right?”
Goddammit-
“Yes,” you grit, fingers clutching at his broad shoulders while your tail impatiently smacks against his thighs. “Come on, Doc, treat me like the good little puppy I am.”
You should’ve expected this, really. An almost animalistic whimper bursts from the back of his throat as he surges forward, shoving his tongue into your mouth. He tastes like cherry lip balm and the lingering sweetness of a cough drop – it’s an odd mixture, but not one that you dislike. Months of built-up tension are finally breaking free from the dam, desperate movements and slurred words quickly taking over your mind. Doctor Midoriya is somewhat sloppy with his kisses, but the way he sucks on your tongue and grinds his cock into you is heavenly.
Fingers skimming over the swell of his pecs and the rigid lines of his abs, Doctor Midoriya shudders at your fluttering touch. You swallow his moan as your hands drift under the shirt of his scrubs, heated skin and a fine trail of hair greeting your fingertips.
Pulling away, Doctor Midoriya pants heavily as you continue to pet his lower abdomen, his cock twitching beneath you. “Wait, wait,” he breathes, hands inching around towards your front, “can we – Can we touch each other?”
“As long as you keep quiet,” you murmur, tongue flicking across your lower lip. “Don’t want the others to know that Doctor Midoriya is a bad boy, hmm?” At that, a high-pitched groan emits from his chest as you shove your hand under the band of his underwear, hand circling around the base of his cock.
“Fuck, puppy, that feels good…”
Quickly following your lead, he slips a hand into your undies; his strong fingers immediately seek out the sensitive spot of your sex, causing your back to arch into his touch. A low, drawn out curse seeps from your mouth as you feel your arousal starting to coat his fingers.
“I guess being a doctor has its benefits, huh?” Doctor Midoriya mutters, tone dropping into that husky pitch once more. Even more of your arousal practically gushes over his fingers, your insides tightening around nothing. Two can play at this game, dammit.
Soon, the two of you are heavily petting each other, wrists flicking and fingers digging into sensitive flesh perfectly. Both your ears and tail lay flat as you pant into his neck, your thighs beginning to quiver with want. Doctor Midoriya isn’t fairing any better, his cock weeping precum as he mumbles incoherently. Maybe it’s the enticing little pants breaking through his puffy lips, or maybe it’s the sinful schlick schlick of your hand around his fat cock, but fuck do you want him inside of you, fucking you stupid.
“Doctor,” you purr, pushing yourself up onto your knees. “Have I been a good puppy? Will you fuck me with your cock and make me yours?” You nearly smile as he twitches in your hand at your filthy words.
Feebly nodding, Doctor Midoriya reluctantly pulls his hands away from you, opting to yank down his bottoms and underwear so they’re stretched around his meaty thighs instead. Your mouth practically waters at the sight of his cock – darker than the rest of his skin and veiny like his hands, he’s just as big as you expected, maybe even bigger. Still, you hastily yank down your own offensive clothing and slip back onto his lap, hovering over his twitching cock.
Doctor Midoriya thickly swallows. “I’m… I’m clean. You don’t have to worry- Fuck, oh my god!” Slapping a hand over his mouth, he groans deeply as you sheathe yourself on him, eyes nearly rolling towards the back of your head at the stretch. Yeah, he’s definitely huge.
For a moment, you allow yourself to grow used to the feeling of him inside. This is really happening; all caution is being thrown to the wind, repercussions be damned. He’s finally in your grasp, and you don’t plan on letting him go any time soon. “You said you wanted to fuck me, Doctor,” you mutter into his ear, your hips beginning to swivel. “Do it like you mean it.”
Again, that determined expression crosses his features. “With a challenge like that, who I am to decline?” Adjusting his grip on your ass, he easily lifts you up and drops you back on his cock, eliciting a breathy moan to fall from your swollen lips. “Don’t worry, puppy – as your doctor, I’m going to take real good care of you…"

Wish You Were Sober - Luke Patterson x Reader
Based on the song by Conan Gray :)
“Are you sure that you don’t want to come?” Alex questions, giving her a quick side hug.
She sighed, leaning into him for a second. “No, I really don’t want to be around drunk people tonight.”
Alex rose an eyebrow “Or is it a particular drunk person...”
She pushed his shoulder back, a smirk sneaking forward on her lips. She shook her head at him as she pushed him toward his car. She watched her friend’s jeep pull out of her driveway and gave him a half-hearted wave.
Her phone buzzed, a new message blasting to the front of her screen. She rolled her eyes as she read his name. She opened the device, reading through the message.
“Alex told me you’re not coming tonight. Bummer :(”
She tried to fight the grin that stretched across her face at how quickly he had figured this out. She had just told Alex no longer than 10 minutes ago. She really wanted to say something witty, but the her racing heart betrayed her and fogged her thoughts. She sat down on her front porch stair, typing a weak response.
“Sorry :(”
Three little dots danced across the conversation, falling after a moment. Left on read. She shoved her phone back into her pocket as she walked back up the stairs to her house.
Y/N wasn’t opposed to high school parties. Give her a few drinks and she may convince you that she actually enjoyed them. It was the overall sinking feeling she got in her stomach as she watched him clumsily stumble around the room with a pretty blonde on his arm that made her dread events. She knew it was petty to avoid social gatherings entirely because of one person, but she had convinced herself that the only way to get over her crush on her neighbor, Luke Patterson, was to cut off communication cold turkey.
They had wandered into each other’s lives three years ago, when Luke’s parents purchased the house next to her own. Their mothers being the hostesses that they were, pushed for joint family dinners and barbecues to get to know everyone. Y/N would usually make herself pretty scarce, bringing her ukelele down and sitting on their old swing tied to the tree in their yard, watching the interactions from afar.
That was until Luke made it his mission to walk over and break the silence. As he approached her, he pointed at the instrument in her hand and smiled. “You play?”
“No, it’s for show,” She said, strumming it again.
Luke laughed at her, placing his hand on one rope attached to the swing. She tried to distance the eye contact, but fell victim to his dark green eyes. “For how long?”
She moved her eyes back to the instrument, fiddling with the third string in her hand. “A few years now...” she trailed off.
“Nice. I play guitar and....” She took note of his wandering sentence, looking over to see his jaw locked as he stared at her. “And you don’t care about anything I’m saying.”
This brought a smile to Y/N’s face, letting her nose scrunch a bit. “It’s nothing personal, just don’t like forced interactions.” She starting to play a soft melody, looking over at her mom, smiling wide at whatever Luke’s dad said.
“Unfortunately my mom is the queen of hosting.”
Luke nodded, his eyes darting from the table back to her. He nodded his head back in the direction of his house. “We could ditch and just jam in my garage?”
Her hand stilled. She looked over at her mom pulling out a phone with most likely a horrible old image of her in pigtails. She met Luke’s eyes again and nodded. “Quickly, please.”
He moved back from the swing, letting her plant herself back on the ground before leading her across the lawn.
From that day, Luke and Y/N had an interesting relationship. They weren’t exactly best friends, but they were able to bond over their love of music and their hatred of family events. Y/N would use his quiet personal refuge in his garage often just to strum her uke in someone else’s presence, the two rarely talking.
That was until Luke would cave and play a part of a song for her review. She always giggled at the boyish glow in his eyes when he played something for any willing audience. She’d give him notes and listened to draft after draft until it was completed.
It was about a month ago when she realized her feelings toward the guitarist had changed. One night she snuck over the fence for a first in-person event that Luke’s new band held. There were only two people in attendance, a pretty brunette who was attached to Luke’s waist, and Y/N. The boys were going to run through a few songs before the next battle of the bands.
Luke’s eyes met hers with his bright smile. “Y/N you made it! Josie will have someone to sit with.” He beamed down at the girl next to him.
She awkwardly planted herself on the couch next to the girl, mumbling a ‘hi’ in her direction. The interaction cut short by Josie turning away from her, the obvious conclusion that the girl was going to gawk at the musician the whole time. Y/N curled her feet underneath her, rotating from scrolling through social media and listening to the boys.
As her eyes gravitated toward the stage, she watched as Luke smirked at Josie, shooting a wink in her direction. She felt this feeling in her stomach that made her want to throw up, shoulders sinking lower. Alex’s eyes met her from behind the drumset for a moment before she moved back to her phone.
As the guys put away their instruments, Luke ushered Josie into the house. His drummer jogged over to meet Y/N at the couch. “You okay? You seem even more disengaged than usual.”
She let a little smile curl on the corner of her mouth as she met his soft eyes. “I’m fine Alex, just felt a little awkward.”
Alex placed his drumsticks in his back pockets, shifting his weight to his left side. “You can just say you don’t like Josie?”
Y/N stammered “It’s not that I don’t like her, I don’t know her I just...I don’t know.”
He eyed her up and down “I think you do. And I think the reason is inside right now with another girl.”
She bit her lip, throwing a pillow at the boy in front of her. Alex dodged it, laughing to himself.
She’d never been jealous before, but she didn’t like how nauseous it made her. This feeling followed her to every party or event that she went to. Luke would always bring some new girl on his arm, and she’d watch as he’d twirl her out onto the dance floor or catch them sloppily kiss each other in the kitchen while blacked out.
So she stopped going to parties. She didn’t expect Luke to notice, they didn’t even really talk at those events. They would say hello and Luke would try to get her drunk 90% of the time because he had determined that she needed to ‘let loose and have fun.’ She would roll her eyes and down a shot so he’d leave her alone.
Instead, Y/N spent most weekends with Alex or Reggie or Julie, and nights by herself in her room with her ukelele and a notebook. She’d started writing music when Luke formed the band, inspired by her friends’ talent and her budding feelings she toward one particular band member. She was happy that she had finally started writing songs instead of just strumming to Colbie Caillat lyrics all the time. It was the first time she felt like a true musician.
She pulled out her notebook and tucked her pen behind her ear, pulling her uke to her chest. She hummed for a moment, staring up into the distance as she thought. A few moments later, she grabbed the pen quickly and scribbled a few lines down on the page. She continued this pattern until she had finished the bridge of her new piece. As she set down her pen, there was a knock at her window.
She grabbed her keys, equipped with a small pocket knife and pepper spray and inched toward the glass. As she got closer she could make our curly brown hair. as she leaned into the futon, she looked out to see a wide-eyed boy staring back at her.
“Patterson, really?” She shook her head as she unlocked the window and pulled it up.
The boy fell into the room heavily, automatically making Y/N worry about her parent’s wandering ears. She held up her finger to her mouth. “Quiet or I’ll kill you.” She walked past him to stop the cold air from seeping in.
She stomped back over to stand in front of the boy, hands on her hips. “What are you doing here?”
Luke’s eyes were barely open, and she could smell the whisky from her safe distance. He stumbled a bit as he tried to walk forward toward her. She grabbed his hand and led him back to the futon. He leaned his arm on the back of the seat, looking at her with a smirk pulled onto his left cheek.
“Y/N, I missed you tonight.”
She rolled her eyes “Did you really climb on my roof to say that?”
He nodded, moving closer to her “You’re avoiding me.” he said, lip jutting out into a pout.
“No I’m not.”
His eyes tried to widen at her and she pursed her lips. He put his hand her thigh as he spoke again in an animated whisper. “I think you are, and I’m not happy about it. Y/N I thought we were friends.”
Her heart thumped at this statement. She did feel guilty about ignoring him without giving him a reason. He was so busy with school, the band and girls she didn’t think that his neighbor leaving him alone would be an issue. Luke’s hand came up to tuck a piece of hair behind her ear, giving her a wider smile.
“You look pretty in this light,” He slurred, body moving forward toward her.
She had to shut this down. She felt goosebumps raise on her arms as his hand trailed down her left side. He was drunk out of his mind right now. She couldn’t deal with the very real emotions she was having about this moment, as it was clear that this blank stare and dilated pupils were the only things present on his end. She stood up from the couch and held out her hand for him to take.
“I think you should go,” Luke rose to meet her, hand coming to grab at her waist.
“Y/N, wait.”
She shook her head, moving over to the window. This drunk idiot was lucky she lived on the first floor. She pointed outside as she looked back over at him. His eyes drooped as he stumbled across the floor. He placed a foot outside before turning back to her once more.
“Y/N..”
She cut him off, rubbing her right eye with her hand “Just go, Luke, we’ll talk later.” He frowned at her before disappearing out into the darkness.
She shut the window and moved over to her bed, flopping onto her back. She pressed her fingertips to her temples. She sat back up to pull back her covers before getting underneath them and shutting off her light.
Early in the morning, she woke up to her mother yelling to her from the kitchen. She crawled out of bed, pulling her slippers on her feet before opening her door and moving sluggishly toward the next room. Her mom was hard at work at the stove, making Sunday breakfast. He mom’s eyes met hers with a soft smile, eyes fogged under her glasses from the steam.
“We have a visitor this morning,” She stated.
Y/N gave her a confused look before she saw the small smile on a certain brunette’s face as he sat at her kitchen island. She was tempted to run back to her room, feeling faint from the heat rushing all over her body. Instead, she crossed her arms in front of her as she walked slowly toward him.
Luke looked at her with wide eyes, “can we talk.” She sighed, looking at the way his twiddled his thumbs as he spoke.
She gave him a small smile, pointing out of the room. She looked over to her mom before heading toward her door. “Let us know when breakfast is ready, I just have to show Luke something real quick.” Her mom beamed at the pair, nodding.
Luke trailed behind Y/N as she led them to her room. She pulled the door open and let him walk inside. She shut the door behind them, turned on the light before walking over to sit down on her bed, staring over at him, standing with his hands in his pockets.
“I’m sorry about last night..” He started in a low voice. “I don’t know what came over me.”
She shrugged “it’s fine Luke no need to make it a big deal.”
He shook his head at her. “But it is. Y/N, you’re avoiding me and I wanted to ask you about it for weeks but only drunk me had the courage to come over and do it.”
Her eyes widened. “Luke, I-”
He interrupted her “Don’t try to make me feel better, Y/N. I can see right through the act.” her shoulder slumped as she watched his eyes narrow at her. “What did I do?”
She ran her hand through her hair, standing up straighter. She watched as his eyes fell toward his shoes, taking a deep breath before addressing him again.
“Luke, I wish I could tell you. I- you never noticed I was there anyway so I didn’t think the distancing would be this complicated...”
His head perked up, frowning at her. “Y/N what are you talking about, we talk like everyday.”
She rolled her eyes “Yes, it was just hard to do so when I have to be around all of your lady friends every time i’m over. Their energy is always weird and I feel uncomfortable.....”
She watched as his expression changed to one of anger “So I can’t have people over to to my own home when you’re around?”
She shook her head, feeling her heart rate rise during the conversation. “No, Luke that’s not what I meant, Jesus Christ, I-”
He towered over her, practically seething as he talked “Then what is it.”
She put her head into her hands, steadying her breathing before looking back up at him. “It’s because I like you Luke, okay? It’s hard to watch you be all over other girls when I’m dealing with the fact that I want to be with you. Are you satisfied with me embarrassing myself now?”
His mouth ajar, he froze looking over at her. She moved from her bed over to the futon near her window to avoid his eyes. She leaned against the back, staring outside. After a silent second, she felt the cushion fall next to her. His hand came up to her shoulder, causing her to look at him again.
“Y/N, I had no clue...I..”
Tears in her eyes, she chewed on her bottom lip as she studied him. “How would you possibly know, I never acted on anything. I’m sorry I even said anything.” She gave him a pointed look as she watched a sad look paint across his face. “Please don’t feel bad for me, just...just forget I said anything.”
He ran his hand through his messy hair “It’s hard to forget a fact like that, Y/N.” They stared at each other for a moment before he moved his hand to her cheek to wipe her tears. She tried to ignore how the closeness made her chest tighten.
“Can it be my turn to be honest now?” He asked, raising an eyebrow at her.
She nodded, sitting back to get a better view of his face. He looked up at the ceiling for a moment before moving his eyes back to hers.
“I had a crush on you the day I met you,” he started, Y/N pulling a confused face as she listened to him. “But you were so distant, I got in my own head and decided that you weren’t interested. I’ve been dating around because I didn’t think it’d affect you, because you saw us as friends. Now I see that I wasn’t as observant as I thought I was.”
She watched as his hand moved over toward hers, touching it softly as he looked at her, waiting for the okay. She nodded slightly and he wrapped his fingers around hers. His smiled grew and he squeezed her hand softly.
“I’m sorry I made you uncomfortable, unintentional or not, I never want you to feel like that around me,” He brought her hand up to his lips, pressing a quick kiss to her knuckles.
“Luke I told you it’s alright. I should have been honest and not iced you out. I promise it’s-”
“Y/N, if you say it’s fine one more time...”
“But it is I-” Her voice was cut off by his lips pressing into hers. She let herself melt into his touch for a moment before they pulled away. As her eyes fluttered open, she was at a total loss.
“I still like you, Y/N.” She felt a familiar feeling rush to her cheeks as he rubbed her thumb against the skin. The right corner of his mouth rose into a smirk, basking in her silence.
“If that’s what it takes for you to shut up, count me in.” He joked, bringing his free hand up to her neck and kissing her again.

Do Well. Yan Dabi x Reader [COMM]
warnings: dabi is just a huge asshole, emotional manipulation, implied panic attack word count: 2.6k.
“Would you be a dear and wait here for a few? I need to take a call.”
Dabi tilts his head alongside his words, glints of amusement present in his sapphire eyes. You’re certain the bastard picks up on every subconscious movement your body makes at the question, feeling like an open book before him. Despite your valiant efforts, human biology doesn’t operate in your personal interest. The challenging premonition causes your lips to curl down, fingers twitching on the wide straw of your milk tea. Pausing mid sip, you pull back, eyelashes fluttering. It’s the subservient behavior he wants to see, and considering the alternatives, you’re tripping over yourself to give it to him.
“... Of course. I should just stay here, right?” It’s more of a question posed for your sake than his, information vital to keep your head above water. Any movements on your behalf that even hint at disobedience could lead to dire consequences, ranging in severity. The worst of which is being confined back to his dingy apartment, with nothing but your thoughts to entertain yourself. All the faux smiles, carefully timed giggles, and strategic brushes of skin against skin would be for naught. You worked too hard for these trips outside for it to fall through your fingers like sand.
Your captor makes a point of giving you a once over, lackadaisical visage a front for a predator in waiting. Condensation builds up against the plastic container in hand, making it tricky to tell if it’s your hands growing clammy or the drink. Time passes by at a snail’s pace, neither of you making the slightest of movements. People go about their lives in happy-go-lucky bliss, none the wiser to the potential harm that Dabi poses. Feeling finally returns to your body as he stands, seemingly content with the exchange.
He shoots you a coy look over his shoulder, a crooked smile spreading across his face. “Don’t miss me too much.”
Dabi snickers at how your nose scrunches up, waving and slinking off with his phone in hand. You watch his retreating figure, still in disbelief over the unfolding events. This would be the first time since being kidnapped that you’ve been on your own in public. These special little outings were a privilege, one that you had worked diligently for. Consistently being on your best behavior, day after day, in the presence of someone you abhor from the depths of your soul is no easy task. A rush of adrenaline shoots through your body when he’s out of sight, eyes darting around in excitement.
This is a prime location to make an escape, the outdoors of a crowded mall in the afternoon. Everyone ranging from families, to couples, and employees on their lunch break are walking around. Lively chatter fills your ears, and you observe every possibility as if it’s your last. While it’s likely a futile dream, the rush your quickening pulse brings demands attention. Lithe fingers shake by your side, every ounce of your strength devoted to keeping yourself from unraveling at the mere concept of being free. He has to be watching. You know him well enough that he wouldn’t have offered the opportunity to escape on a silver platter, there’s got to be measures in place.
There’s no way he isn’t keeping an eye on you now, making sure that you hold true to your word of behaving.
Your shoulders slump at this cruel reality. The act of looking around excitedly would be too much of a give away, an observation he’d surely bring up later. An eruption of goosebumps dot your skin, even in the sweltering summer heat. Taking another sip of your drink, you abandon hope of escape, certain it’d be a mistake should you try it. Though he’s purposefully kept you in the dark on most of his relationships with the League of Villains, you can safely assume he’s interconnected with enough unsavory figures to locate you should it be necessary. In contrast to the sugary goodness that coats your tongue, a sour taste in your mouth develops at this blatant flaunting of power. What an asshole.
To be so self-assured that even in the event of your escape, hunting you down and bringing you back into his loving arms is still within the realm of possibility. Your eye twitches at this realization, mentally flinging numerous curses towards him. He didn’t have to make it so obvious, rubbing salt on the theoretical wound of your pride. Too preoccupied with festering thoughts of resentment, you fail to notice a figure taking a seat next to you on the bench.
“Is the drink not good or something?” A light, masculine voice asks from your left. Darting around immediately at the interruption of your venomous thoughts, you spot a man around your age. Sporting messy brunette hair and a casual get up of a tee with a pair of jeans, it tugs painfully on your heart to see someone living an uninhibited life as you used to. This envy mutates into horror, as you realize being caught speaking to a stranger is going to land you in boiling water. Dabi’s consciousness is a minefield in waiting, daring to blow at the slightest wrong movement.
What do you do? It might leave a wrong impression should you not say anything. The current times are plagued by high tension. Numerous League of Villain attacks have rendered the surrounding regions on constant alert, news anchors telling folks to be wary of anyone or anything suspicious. Weighing your options, you decide to dismiss the stranger in kind as fast as humanly possible.
Just act natural, act natural… “W-why do you say that?”
Shit. Your first conversation with someone other than Dabi in over half a year has left you thoroughly horrified, pupils no doubt dilated and voice meeker than a mouse squeak. The stutter has you wincing, your naive companion undoubtedly picking up on it. You want nothing more than to shoo him off, but in fear of drawing unwanted attention, attempt to suppress your frayed nerves. You’ve been through worse than a strained conversation and made it out relatively unscatched, but this feels like a different type of battle.
“You just seemed to be making quite the upset face,” he chuckles, reminiscing on the thought. He must’ve been referring to the glowering thinking about Dabi brought out from you. “I swear I’m not a creep or anything. I was just waiting to pick up my little sister, and happened to catch you scowling.”
“The name’s Ryota. And you?”
Suppressing panic that threatens to drown you, you swallow thickly. “I’m uh, Hina. The drink is fine… I just have a lot on my mind.”
The lie is seasoned with enough truths that you hope it isn’t too transparent. Giving away your actual name could hint back to missing person’s cases, the thought of which would greatly displease Dabi. Besides, if it had been as simple as going to the police, you would’ve done it by now. You’ve grown uncomfortably familiar with Dabi’s workings, killing off a few people or bribing them would be one of the least heinous things in his portfolio. You figure the best case scenario here is that this well meaning Ryota character leaves you be, or else dire consequences will come to fruition.
“Good to know, Hina-san. My lil sis talks about boba often, but I’ve never gotten that into it. I figure since the store’s right here, I should surprise her with a drink. What would you recommend?”
You can’t help but greedily soak in the normalcy an interaction like this brings with it. The irritation from being drawn into a conversation is replaced with pity, a stronger resolve to keep this bystander out of harm’s way blooming. There’s no time to be wasted on the warmth erupting in your chest, or on the first genuine smiles in months that’s settled on your lips. To see the best humanity has to offer, after being subjected to the worst, is a much needed breath of fresh air. While it may be greedy to fixate on these aspects, you find yourself wanting to savor the moment of being a regular person.
Surely, Dabi would understand your logic.
“It depends on her tastes. If she likes sweeter drinks, I’d recommend Thai milk tea. If you’re not sure, classic milk tea is always a safe bet.” You’re proud of how you’ve been able to pull yourself together, speaking like you used to. With this, he should be set to leave, or at least you want to believe this. Unfortunately for you, life is never so easy. He doesn’t seem interested in going anywhere anytime soon, crossing his legs and leaning slightly closer to you. Realizing your mistake of radiating friendliness, your muscles go taut.
You need to do something about this before it’s too late.
Ryota scratches his head, mulling over your advice. “I’ll keep all that in mind. I appreciate your insight.”
“It feels nice to be able to chill and talk like this every now and then. If I’m being honest, I was somewhat against my sister coming out to hang with friends,” Ryota’s tone takes a turn for the somber, face looking crestfallen. “With all the chaos that’s been around, y’know. It feels like everyday I wake up to more of those League of Villain stories. It feels like it’ll just be a matter of time until something happens near here.”
“I’m sorry that--”
“Things sure are rough,” A voice that brings out every negative emotion possible speaks up from behind you, Dabi’s familiar figure slithering into sight. He takes a seat on the bench, close to your person, wrapping a tight arm around your shoulder. “I hate to interrupt, but I need to borrow her for a bit. You mind?”
Neither of you were expecting the sudden interruption, Ryota trying to piece everything together. “Oh, uh, not at all.’
Everything hits you like a ton of bricks. From Dabi’s rich cologne that mixes in with the smell of ash, his hair brushing against the side of your face, to the possessiveness of his grip. He squeezes your shoulder, looking from Ryota to you. It takes a moment to register what he’s communicating, but you’re able to decipher the gesture. In a last ditch attempt to salvage this situation, you confirm Dabi’s statement before things get ugly. Nodding your head, you watch with bated breath as Ryota looks from Dabi to you. He gets up from his spot on the bench, awkwardly shoving his hands into his pockets.
“It was nice talking to you.”
Ryota heads off towards the mall doors, leaving you in the clutches of the devil incarnate. You feel how terribly warm Dabi is next to you, words wanting to spill out to justify the actions that led up to this moment. Before you get the opportunity to ramble out your thoughts, Dabi places a finger on your lips, looking at you with the same grin as always.
“Making some new friends, hm?” He inquires, drawing out the syllables. His finger goes south, lifting up your chin, and holding you close to his face. “Awe, babe. You look like you’re aboutta cry. Don’t give me that look.”
You’re not sure if you should feel horrified at his sudden spike in talkativeness, or relieved over not having to speak your piece yet. The words wouldn’t be able to leave your mouth even if you wanted them to, a lump forming in your throat to coincide the dryness of your tongue. Dabi makes a point of emphasizing his engulfing height, having to tilt your head up to maintain eye contact. Not wanting to make a scene, you do everything within your power to still the tears that are threatening to spill out. There’s no visible signs of wrath, not that you can pick up on. He watches with great interest as you calm yourself, releasing the grip on your face and leaning back into the bench.
When you appear sufficiently soothed, he speaks up once more, voice grating your ears. “So tell me, doll. What was all that about? I knew you’d be hurting for company in my absence, but I didn’t think you’d be so bold as to speak to someone else.”
“I… I was approached, and… I swear, nothing happened. He just-- just wanted to know about a drink for his sister, and--”
Dabi gently flicks your forehead, unable to stifle his cackling any longer. “I’m just messin’ with ya. I saw everything.”
It doesn’t settle in immediately, the hypothetical cogs and gears of your head turning in slow motion. Your heart is pounding so violently that you hear it in your ears, your face erupting into a bright red. Humiliation, indignation, and finally, loathing take turns dominating your mind. He’s always had the best of times playing with you at your own expense, poking and prodding to see what reactions he can get. There’s a knee jerk reaction to want to slap him, anything to let out these overflowing feelings. Knowing that getting bothered is what he finds the most pleasure in, you’re further motivated to gain control over yourself.
A deep breath. Inhale, exhale. You continue repeating these steps, biting your tongue to the point it stings. Dabi rests his head on his fist, watching you calm yourself down through lidded eyes. You really do get yourself worked up so easily, it’s endearing. He wants to pinch your cheeks and tease you more, but is feeling generous enough to give you this time to gather yourself. There’ll be plenty of time to play with you later, occupying himself with this cute sight placates him for the time being. When you finally reopen your eyes, you’re met with the deplorable sight of Dabi’s crooked grin.
“Can we just… go home? Please?” You hate how weak your voice sounds. You hate everything about this situation, about the life that you’ve been forced into living. How you have to adapt to unspoken rules, subjected to twists and turns that never let you lower your guard. Most of all, you hate the person who has done this to you. His touch, his scent, his voice, all of it. You want nothing more than to scream at him at the top of your lengths, ripping that satisfied looking off his flesh and ridding yourself of this turmoil once and for all.
“Hm? Already? I thought you were hoping to get some dinner out tonight.” Dabi keeps up an air of nonchalance, likely wanting to hear you repeat yourself. Not willing to give in outright, you instead bunch up the fabric of his jacket with your hand.
“Dabi…”
It’s a low plea. You know you’ve gotten your point across ages ago, but he’s deriving too much pleasure from seeing how you squirm. The painful utterance serves you well, earning the slightest bit of reprieve as he gets up. On shaky legs, you follow after him, head downcast. Fixating on the tops of your shoes, you wonder if distracting yourself might do anything to ease your tormented soul. The events of the day have left you thoroughly exhausting, and nothing sounds better to you than sleeping for as long as he’ll allow you.
“Alright, alright. Let’s head on back,” he snakes an arm around your waist, pulling you close to his side. No longer having strength to muster up in retaliation, you let him do as he pleases, still fighting down sniffles. “Don’t bother your pretty little head about this.”
You don’t bother honoring him with a reaction.
Dabi takes a final glance over his shoulder, spotting the pesky man from before, who is still waiting against a wall. He takes a mental picture of the notable features, lips settling into a deep frown. How troublesome. Before you notice anything, he picks up his pace, continuing the walk back to his apartment. Ideas and resentment swirl within his mind like a tornado, pent up frustration begging to be released.
All in due time, he thinks.
