today in Things Related To This Blog:

1. I made curry over the weekend using tomatoes I canned at the end of the summer and have been eating it with chutney that I made and canned myself as well. It feels really really good. I’m kind of proud of what I’ve learned about food preservation this year and am stoked to keep learning, also the chutney is dank.

2. Today at a gas station I found a paper bag packed full of neatly folded clothes, sitting next to a pump. There wasn’t a note, and no one else was around, and I took it (after some mental debate). The contents? Very funny. On top: a Kate Spade laundry bag-type thing, folded intentionally so the logo from this designer brand faced up. Underneath: about 20 articles of clothing from CAbi, which upon googling I learned is a multi-level marketing company. Misleading advertising, my friends. So many questions. So many possible scenarios. Good opening scene to a novel? I took it all to a consignment store and they took most! Hopefully some of it sells, I totally forgot how consignment stores work until I got there...
