Me, still learning what to look for in different braces and joint supports but wanting to learn: hey google what’s the best kind of brace or compression wear for EDS and hypermobile knees?

Google: oh the BEST? Got you, got you. This one’s almost Two Hundred US Dollars

Me: oh uh. Okay so maybe not the BEST best. What’s…. A good type?

#to be fair. hypothetically in the future depending on my needs I might be able to ask my rheumatologist about getting things covered #even partially #but for my purposes right now. I don’t think I need the super bougie knee supports. just something for when I’m hyperextending #I think my elbow sleeves might come today… yippee :)#I’m just so used to moving them past a standard/healthy range of motion and those bitches hurt.#so something to help keep them in place and help me get the feel/muscle memory of ‘oh this is where your joints are supposed to be’#I’m ranting I just thought it was funny when that was the first search result. and I AM pretty excited for the elbow sleeves wheeeee #cape town rambles #chronic illness capers #ehlers danlos syndrome
