i love to think about the ways eiffel is willing/able to take up physical space for hera when she can’t. i think… with eiffel and hera and minkowski staying together post-canon, one thing that might start to really bother hera is that, like. she doesn’t have any stuff. she doesn’t even have herself to be there in the house, really, not physically. and unlike with the hephaestus, a house that is actually meant to be a home, a place that is designed for human life, is always full of reminders of the people who live there. so i want to think that she expresses this to eiffel and he starts picking up stuff he thinks she’ll like just to put it on the shelves and around the house, so it’s her house too. and she thinks it’s kind of silly at first because it’s not like she can really interact with most of it, but. then she sees all of her stuff mixed together with eiffel’s on the shelves and it’s like this constant reminder that she exists in the world, that she has an impact on it and a place in it. and that does make her feel a little better.

48-Is there anything in particular that would ignite your character’s jealousy? Or does your character not get envious?

This might be surprising but I don’t see either of them as particularly jealous people (at least not in relationships + they don’t express it if they do feel it) Persephone might occasionally tell a bitch to back off bc hades is Hers but she knows that he’s faithful to her so shes not actually worried by it at all its just disrespectful on the other person’s part. That and the fact that she grew up around Hera, who a) she is Not a fan of and b) is incredibly jealous so she doesn’t want to emulate that. Hades is really aware of the way Persephone’s mom was super possessive of her when she was younger (i think demeter gets a lot better after the Hades Incident and they go to like family therapy so it’s a lot better now but still) and really doesn’t want to ever be like that for Persephone. Also, like with P, he trusts her and knows he has no good reason to be jealous

22. What kind of tattoos, piercings, birthmarks, freckles, and other such unique physical features do they have?

ok so they both have a lot of scars, obviously, but most notably Hades has his half pomegranate tattoo on his right wrist. he used to have an hourglass there, but that was what had marked him as Cronus’s, so after he killed him he picked his own symbol and covered it up. Persephone has 6 pomegranate seeds tattooed around her wrist like a bracelet. Of course Persephone gets a giant fancy engagement ring (bc Hades is a romantic and also he knew she secretly wanted one. she insists it was only because she appreciates the finer things in life) that has definitely made someone bleed after she slapped them, but when they get married they don’t have a big ceremony but they both get tattoos on their ring fingers. Eventually, I think Persephone gets Hades a wedding ring bc she’s sick of ppl hitting on him (shes not jealous, but it’s the principle of the thing) but for both of them the tattoo is their real symbol of their love (except only one of them would ever admit it bc thats so fuckin sappy. Guess who. it’s not persephone.)

13. What are your character’s sleeping habits? Heavy or light sleeper? Blanket stealer? One that always rolls onto the floor? Pushes their lover onto the floor? Sleep talker or walker?

They’re both light sleepers bc uhh they don’t wanna get killed in their sleep. They’re both not used to sharing a bed with anyone so for the first year or so they’re constantly accidentally (or purposefully) pushing the other off the bed or stealing all the covers. Neither of them sleep walk but Hades has definitely been woken up several times by Persephone threatening someone in her sleep. Once an enforcer, always an enforcer.

08. What is, perhaps, their biggest flaw? Are they aware of this or oblivious to it?

For Hades it’s probably that he doesn’t always think things through, which is dangerous in his line of work. It’s helped him in a lot of situations, though--it’s why he killed Cronus, how he met Persephone for the first time, why he was like “hey join my gang” after knowing her for like three days. He definitely knows it and he gets so frustrated by himself, bc he knows it’s probably gonna kill him one day.

For Persephone it’s that she thinks she can take on a lot more than she can. She’s super skilled, yeah, but she’s human and she has limits. Sometimes it’s her getting into fights where she’s sorely outmatched, but sometimes it’s that she’ll try to deal with everything herself and will never confide in anyone or ask for help. She was always taught she had to stand on her own when she was younger, and it takes her a long time to be comfortable enough to show weakness (another big flaw). She knows it on some level, but again it’s hard for her to accept it.

Who’s more dominant:  Harlem, I’m guessing?  Mostly because Hera is very much a versatile whereas Harlem just strikes me as the more dominant (albeit tender!) partner.  

Who’s the cuddler:  Both of them!!!  Hera is a very physically oriented person and Harlem is very much deprived. :(

Who’s the big spoon/little spoon:  I feel like in the beginning, they might gravitate towards Harlem as big spoon and Hera as little spoon, but I think Hera would enjoy being big spoon and that Harlem probably really needs to be held.

What’s their favorite non-sexual activity:  Raising their kids. :’)  OK, but in all honesty, I think they’re just the kind of couple that enjoys spending time together and touching a lot.  

Who uses all the hot water:  Hera probably because she loves taking long relaxing baths.  

Most trivial thing they fight over:  Who pays for dinner/treats the other/is in charge of date night.  

Who does most of the cleaning:  They definitely hire someone to clean the house, but that won’t stop Hera from obsessively cleaning things that are already clean. 

What has a season pass on their dvr/Who controls the netflix queue:  Their kids, probably??  I mean, otherwise they probably have a profile for watching things together and Hera has her own for what she wants to watch that no one else is interested in

Who calls up the super/landlord when the heat’s not working:  It depends on who finds out first, I guess?  I don’t think either of them have problems with that sort of thing.  But it’s more like… who calls the technician because they own their homes/properties, so.

Who leaves their stuff around:  Hera tbh.  She isn’t particularly messy, but she had a tendency to leave things behind at Harlem’s place even before they got together.  

Who remembers to buy the milk:  They get it delivered and they’re both pretty on top of remembering what they need.  

Who remembers anniversaries:  Harlem is very good with remembering important dates, whereas Hera depends on her calendar notifications to remember the day of (but she remembers for weeks in advance, so.)

Who cooks normally:  They switch off on it, but Hera probably does the bulk of the cooking if they don’t order in.  

How often do they fight:  OOH BOY.  It depends on what the fuck Zeus is up to, so it probably peters out once they are Officially Together (and Hera divorces her husband lmao) because then ?? Zeus whom?

What do they do when they’re away from each other:  I know that Hera likes to leave Harlem little notes to find later and that she’s very good about texting to keep in contact.  I’m not sure about Harlem…?

Nicknames for each other:  I don’t think? they’ve used any so far? But Hera might use “honey” occasionally.  

Who is more likely to pay for dinner:  Harlem. >(  Hera probably keeps trying to steal the check.  

Who steals the covers at night:  Neither, but Hera sometimes kicks them off and then wakes up Harlem in the middle of the night to cover her.  (Yes, she is THAT PERSON)

What would they get each other for gifts:  I feel… when they are still in-laws, Harlem tends to get Hera flowers and books (poetry books mainly)—maybe perfume? whereas Hera likes to get him things like cufflinks, ties, and on a couple of occasions cologne.  On Hera’s end, she just likes to see him wear things she chose for him.  The perfume/cologne thing is probably another possessive thing on both their ends.  At least it is for Hera.

Who kissed who first:  That’s hard to answer!!!  I want to say that Hera might have crossed that boundary first, platonically-speaking.  Like a kiss on the cheek to show her appreciation because Harlem is always doing The Most? 

Who made the first move:  Physically?  Who knows!  We’re still writing that (as soon as I respond to that thread lmao).  But… to be fair… Harlem has been sabotaging her marriage for a while, so…  

Who remembers things:  They both do, but I lean towards Harlem having a better factual memory.  Hera’s memory tends to be very subjective even by human memory standards.  

Who started the relationship:  Gosh. Do we say Hera for marrying Zeus and asking Harlem to walk her down the aisle?  Do we say Harlem for being more of a partner than her actual husband?  Or is it whoever actually kisses the other on the New Years Eve party?  Or the both of them deciding to throw caution to the wind and pursue a relationship even though Hera is married to Harlem’s brother??

Who cusses more:  Hera does so far, especially when she’s mad.  

What would they do if the other one was hurt:  Harlem probably assesses the situation and “handles it” very discreetly.  Meanwhile, Hera absolutely overreacts and tries to fight whoever hurt Harlem.  Yes, this includes Hera picking an argument with Zeus because Harlem is literally the best thing to have ever happened to him besides her, so??  Why???

Who is the dirty talker:  Both, but it’s Hera who introduces it most likely because she cannot Stop Herself.  

A head canon:  In this life, at least, they’re each other’s happy ending.
