'Temari scoffed. “Oh, no fuck this,” she laughed, uncrossing her arms. She put her palm beside the door, grabbed the handle, and ripped it open. She shook her head. “I’m not doing this. I’m criticised enough as it is without standing here listening to you insulting—”

“Shut the door.”

She scowled but didn’t move.

“Shut the door, Temari,” Shikamaru repeated. There was a sharp edge to his voice that hadn’t been there the first time. A sharp edge unlike anything she’d heard from him before. “You won’t really leave. You’ll just stand in the doorway again and let all the heat out. Shut it.”
