I had a post like this in my drafts back when episode four came out that I never finished out of the fear of Being Wrong though from the vague things ive heard about the rolled Im bringing it back so. Everett as a character honestly fascinates me, because from the first episode its obvious how utterly afraid he is. He learns about the natural order of the world, and his place in it, and it terrifies him. Everything he does is in a desperate attempt to put himself higher, to make himself worth something, because he hates who he truly is so much he'll do anything to become something else. He really did see what he was doing as compassion, turning Trey as a mercy, because being human is synonymous with being weak and being weak is the worst thing a person could be. And in the end, after losing everything he was, becoming the strongest thing he could be, in one last act of humanity, he reached out his hand.
