#I think I just got very very lucky with my Oboro so far

So Hinoka! I think it's fair to say that I don't like the pegasus archetype all that much in the 3DS games so I might be a bit harsher on her than on Mozu x)
She will easily get to 60% growths in most areas but will rarely get to 70% or plus, so it's best to focus on giving her skills allowing her to shine because her base can only get her so far. That means she will underperform unless put in one of two builds: a support unit with a sort of "aura effect", or rely on offensive skills.
As a support unit: her personal skill gives +2 attack to all allies in a 2 squares radius, which is already an alright boosts. The "optimal" way to build on that damage boost would be to get rally magic and strength (one from marrying Azama, the other from befriending Camilla), but would require gaining 3 levels in onmyoji and wyvern lord respectively, two classes that don't really complement her that well. But adding the rally speed she gets as a falcon knight and amaterasu as a kinshi knight, she will have a great aura effect and her rallies will let others be much more effective in combat even if they leave the area of effect. She will probably be outclassed in that role but this is still a nice, mobile option: add to this an okay staff use if you end up as a falcon knight (especially if you use a few spirit dusts to help her catch up) and the strength to be a good attack stance support and she has her utility
She is probably more interesting as an offensive unit because of her resistance. Her promotion path really nudges her toward mage killing (warding blow basically negating magic damage), and she can work fine there. You might want to grab a few skills on the way there to have a better offense: rend heaven from basara can compensate for her mid attack when facing physical foes, but it's not an extremely powerful skill. However, if you can marry her to Xander, Silas or a Corrin with the cavalier secondary class, you could get luna which works GREAT with her relatively high skill and speed. She's also not half bad as a paladin either so you might change her to this after getting warding blow (and/or spend some levels in great knight to also get armoured blow and get her to reduce almost all damage when on your turn, but this will also take some time), so you'll end up with a slight more balanced Hinoka. You can also marry her to Hinata, she'll be an adequate swordmaster, and astra works well with her, you'll have to teach her swords though. Spear master is also a possibility, but she will just repeat Oboro's role except with a lesser start with physical bulk. She'll outperform Oboro on every stat but defence though, so if you lose/don't want to use Oboro or don't know what to do with Hinoka, you can go for that. As I said Hinoka is fairly good in most physical classes, but won't really shine all that much
What build would you make for Mozu or Hinoka?
Okay so keep in mind that when I build units I don't really do it in a "normal" manner, I kind play the game almost solely to make stupid builds no matter the time it takes even if I have to farm a lot. Furthermore I have a few savefiles so I often use some amount of skill transfer, not a lot but sometimes I grab a few skills on another save to not waste levels on another. I'll still give more reasonable builds after detailing my 20 steps plan to make a godkiller. Knowing that:
Mozu is very fun because of both her growths and her easy access to profiteer. She can be a good multi use units, with resource utility and offensive power. Her main weakness is that she is fairly frail, and will probably not be able to survive too many hits.
My last run had her as a Kinshi knight for a few reasons: it has the same solid luck as merchant, second highest outside of strategist (hardly viable considering that magic is the one stat she has a growth below 10). While it has an inferior strength compared to other classes, kinshi knights have both great speed and massive range (flying movement + bow range). And because they use the same weapons as the merchants, the transition after you get profiteer isn't too hard. I wanted to give her a special niche along that so I decided to be very stubborn and farm her in a class she is absolutely not good at: sorcerer.
By befriending Nyx, she get access to the dark mage, which objectively doesn't work for her, but I have too much free time. I got her to level 15 in the sorcerer class (because of how the game works you only need to spend 4 levels in that class if you swap at level 11) solely for one skill: bowbreaker. That along the speed she gets as a kinshi and her great luck makes her near impossible for bow users to hit. That made her a weird case of flying archer killer which I thought was very funny, I could throw her in the middle of a bunch of archers and they'd all have 0%. Kinshi knight provides the highest luck cap, which she'll reach pretty easily. With this she'll have at least 30% chance of producing money every turn for 7 turn. If you are lucky/willing to grind the DLCs, you can get Anna's bow which gives a massive +5 luck for a skill and strength debuff every attack (her skill should be solid by now, and she doesn't need to kill or even attack to activate her skill so you can just equip it on her if there is a turn she doesn't have anything to do). Along with that, I gave her a bamboo yumi that gets her +10 avo, further enhancing her dodgetanking despite its weakness (it's not the rarest weapon to get at the lottery or on lucky spaces, you'll always end up having at least one and you will probably get to forge it to have it stronger). Along with Air Superiority she'll get as a kinshi knight, she'll also be able to avoid flyers and especially other kinshi. From there, she has the speed to rarely get doubled, the most precise enemies will have at best 20% or so hit rates with her, and she'll be producing lots of money while also providing decent supportive damage. If you go that way aptitude isn't gonna help you much as you'll be at equal or higher level than enemies, so you can drop it. From there there isn't much to add, you can grab life and death from Master of Arms and bowfaire to increase her damage output dramatically using a bow, both are accessible with second , add a longbow to increase her range if you fear she can't dodge everything or chip an enemy she can't reach.
If you want a less time consuming and more "realistic" build (aka "for someone who isn't as obsessed as me and doesn't have too much free time), Mozu's main advantage is her high speed and luck naturally leading her to dodgetanking. The most avoidant class is swordmaster (innate +10 avo along a nice +10 crit): marrying Ryoma will let her access it along with giving aptitude to an already powerful second gen unit. Between a whooping 85% speed growth with aptitude, 60% strength, 50% HP and skill, she'll be a reliable dodgetank, especially considering her personal skill let her regain HP on forest tiles (among other tiles), which makes her a good bait. She'll have the skill to activate Astra fairly reliably, and life and death from the master of arms class would again make her damage output insane, along with swordfaire that she'll get while progressing as a swordmaster. If you're in Conquest though, the next best option is probably marrying Arthur to get her to be a berserker. She doesn't get the avo bonus of the swordmaster but nearly as much speed, insane strength, and her innate skill growths counters the poor accuracy of axes, along with a 20% crit bonus that goes well with her good skill. Her sniper line can help her in that class: certain blow alleviates the axe inaccuracy. I wouldn't say gamble is really worth it but you can try it if your Mozu has a consistent enough hit rate, and since she'll be using only that weapon axefaire is good. Now if you want to have her solely as a player turn based unit, once again, life and death will have her obliterate people. If you want to use her good speed and strong HP as bait however, getting strong riposte and sol can help with that. Sadly since Conquest doesn't allow much grinding outside of DLCs, you can't go too insane, but her only friendships options there are Effie which gives class that'll probably affect her speed negatively, or Nyx, which. Yeah, without even more grinding the skills that could work with her aren't accessible. If you count the Heirs of Fates DLC rewards, you can get speedtaker or strengthtaker, preferably the first for swordmaster and the second for berserker (those skills cannot be used at the same time so no use getting both on her), and if you make a revelation berserker, befriending Oboro
Now, for Hinoka. She's a bit trickier because she's the balanced "jack of all trades master of none" type of character. Her growth rates are all around 40 without class bonus beside her magic at 15 and her defence being a little lower than the rest at 35. That means she isn't really bad anywhere, but she doesn't really stand out either. She is the kind of characters that you might have on the map but realise soon that whatever she can do, others will do better despite having more glaring weaknesses than her. However her base skill, resistance and speed stats are good, and she always joins with a guard naginata which is a pretty rare weapon. So for her, we have solid bases
#sorry if it doesn't make sense I am a bit sick and sleep deprived#also Hinoka often ends up benched on my playthroughs while Mozu consistently makes it to endgame so I have less advice about her X)#I was convinced Oboro would outperform Hinoka in most stats as a spear master tbh but checking the growths#I think I just got very very lucky with my Oboro so far#she ends up with 30+ def effortlessly and the strength to destroy most enemies in one round#Fates build

honestly asking this mostly bc i dont have any erasermic pals to brainstorm with but. what kind of erasermic do you think is the closest to canon. does that make sense?? like. given what we see with erasermic in canon, if they were to be read as romantic, whats the most feasible way they’d have like.. happened? or How would they be romantic? does this question make any sense at all. i was just thinking because i found that i preferred reading erasermic as highschool sweethearts, but given how they are in the manga, esp with how aizawa was in vigilantes, it just doesn’t seem like. Canon. obviously it doesnt really matter, enjoy what you want, but its an interesting thing to think idk!!
So, I’ve been thinking about this myself, and here are my thoughts. I’m going to mainly focus on how I think they would get together myself. Keep in mind everything is based on opinion, not facts. So, take it with a grain of salt. Also, this was written in a hurry between other stuff, so hopefully, it makes sense and I addressed everything you asked, anon.
I think Hizashi would notice his feeling first but would keep them to himself. He would be too afraid that revealing his feelings would lead to him being rejected and damaging their friendship. I believe Hizashi would start crushing in high school as he seems very fond and even defensive of Aizawa even then. In high school, another reason Hizashi would hide his feelings is that he would believe Aizawa likes Oboro, whom he is much closer with. As adults, Hizashi hints at his feelings to Nemuri while they’re drinking. Nemuri, being the big sister type and the romantic comedy best friend, would go to Aizawa and just tell him. The reason for this is that Aizawa is oblivious as hell to things like this, so if he isn’t told flat out he will never get the idea. Shouta is startled and even surprised. He never thought of romance with anybody. Whenever he got those urges he just had casual sex with a sex worker or Midnight. (Sorry, but my brain refuses to accept that this man is a virgin. At the very least I think he’d experiment a few times.) He thinks about it and shoots down the idea of a relationship as he believes it would be irrational. Both have more than one job, each as time-consuming as the next, and their hero jobs are dangerous. Every other day Aizawa stares death in the face and he knows he won’t be lucky forever. He doesn’t want to leave Hizashi with more pain than he has to. Not to mention it hurt Shouta enough to lose a friend, how would he feel if he lost a lover? Even so, once the idea is put in his head it stays there and Aizawa starts watching Hizashi more. Shouta also finds himself feeling more territorial toward the man. Every time someone gets too close Aizawa would feel a pang of jealousy. Who is this person? Why are they so close? What do they want? Then Aizawa would suddenly wander over them and stand a bit too close to Hizashi. (Like how a puppy or cat will suddenly come over when you’re petting another animal.) Hizashi would notice this quickly but wouldn’t know why as—as far as he knows—Aizawa doesn’t view him romantically. Adding to this Aizawa would suddenly find himself thinking of how to fit their schedules together, living arrangements, and other things. Basically, he would be thinking of how to make it work while also insisting to himself that it wouldn’t. Things would be like that for a while as neither is willing to make a move, so Nemuri would have to step up again. She sends them on a mission where they have to go undercover as a couple which has all levels of awkwardness as Hizashi has no idea Aizawa knows about his feeling and Aizawa is partially in denial, partly considering still. A series of events happen and Hizashi tests the waters by saying something along the lines of, “Well, that was fun! But I doubt we’ll do anything like that again.” The Shouta, finally making a decision would go, “Well, what if we did?” Hizashi would be confused till Aizawa finally clarifies. It would be awkward and Aizawa would lay out everything that could go wrong and that was against them—but eventually would state that he wouldn’t hate the idea. (He’s shy.) Hizashi would ecstatically agree. After that Aizawa would initiate their first kiss. (Hizashi is passive, Aizawa is not. When he wants something, he’ll go for it aggressively.)
At first, there’s a lot of awkwardness as neither dates much and the rules of dating don’t exactly apply. Like, neither would want flowers or the like. For the most part, Aizawa would take the lead on things. Hizashi has always followed him and that doesn’t change here. However, Hizashi would drop hints here and there when wants something, such as hand-holding. Aizawa, now that they’re in a relationship, would be more attentive than before, so he would pick up on these hints faster than before. Hizashi does all the PDA but Aizawa doesn’t mind one way or another, though he does get shy if it's in a crowd. (Sex stuff, however, would remain behind closed doors as that’s their personal space.) An issue that would pop up is that Hizashi might mother-hen him too much as Aizawa really does not give a damn about personal safety. Shouta would quickly get annoyed with Hizashi coddling him like a child. On the other hand, Aizawa is determined not to lose anyone like he lost Oboro, and would become more protective, demanding that Hizashi not take dangerous jobs and such. This would make Hizashi feel insulted as not only is he an adult man, he was a hero. But they’d talk both would back off (mostly). And that’s all I got for now!

Before You Go (All Might x Reader)
Part One/Part Two
A/N: okay, so this is gonna be pretty sad all around. Ultimately, Young! All Might x reader, but with Aizawa Shota undertones. Aizawa was giving me some mad professor snape vibes in this, and I sincerely apologize for that. I love him too but this isnt his story.
word count:4000
“Y/N, you seriously need to sign up with that energy quirk hero’s agency...shit what’s his name? It’s on the tip of my tongue,” Yamada remarked, tapping his chin as if that might help him remember. He sat at the lunch table with the rest of his friends, Shota and Oboro. Y/N was right beside him, but it seemed his words, despite being loud as usual, went through one ear and out the other.
“Don’t bother. She’s a lost cause.” Aizawa replied tiredly.
They all followed her gaze, only for their eyes to land on Toshinori Yagi. The blond walked by, carrying his food to his lunch table with his friends, people Y/N didn’t know, nor could she ever even hope to know. To be honest, Y/N was kinda sorta a loser. She was lucky that she even had friends considering she was awkward beyond belief.
“He’s too full of himself to notice you, Y/N. I’d just give up on that one,” the dark haired boy added, bumping his shoulder with the girl’s. She frowned, shaking her head to get back to reality. Aizawa was right. Not even once had the blond glanced at her or said hello. He was too cool for her. He was going to be one of the best heroes to ever exist and she was just average at best. None of her teachers ever saw potential in her, just saying that her strength was great, just that the side effects of her quirk were far too destructive.
She took a hefty scoop of rice and shoved it into her mouth, chewing grumpily.
“Come on, Y/N! It’s alright. You could just date me or Yamada!” Oboro laughed, clapping a hand on her shoulder from where he sat across from the girl.
“You don’t have to ruin my fantasies, Aizawa-kun. I know I don’t have a chance, but it’s nice to think about,” she snapped, sending a sideways glance at her friend who shrugged. He tried to tell himself it didn’t matter if Y/N obsessed over that muscle-head, but it bothered him. She was their friend: she should pay attention to them, no ogle over some narcissist. “He’s going to be the greatest hero this world has ever seen, I just know it. There’s something special about him, his quirk-”
“We get it. Toshinori this, Toshinori that. You know, if you like him so much, why don’t you go talk to him?” Yamada suggested. He wasn’t upset with her talking on and on about her crush, but he just knew Aizawa was about to burst with a couple more remarks. When she didn’t make an effort to move, he smiled knowingly. “You’re such a scaredy cat, Y/N. What’s he gonna do, bite you? If he’s a nice guy, it wouldn’t be a problem-”
“If it’s so easy, Yamada, why don’t you go find Nemuri and tell her how you feel?”
That shut him up very fast, as expected. Their cloud quirk friend broke through the tension swiftly, “Well, instead of talking about stupid crushes, why don’t we talk about our plans for this weekend? Karaoke and Barbeque, dudes! It’s gonna be awesome.”
“Oh my God, I totally forgot about that!” Y/N exclaimed, shoving more rice in her mouth so it bulged in her cheek like a squirrel. She probably should take smaller bites, but it was more fun to see how many grains she could fit in her mouth at one time. “Hizashi, I swear if you eat all the spicy pork again...”
“That only happened once-”
“Twice, actually!” she corrected, poking him on the forehead with the end of her chopstick. They laughed and all was well again, if not for her lowering self-esteem. If only Aizawa believed in her. He was her best friend, the only one who’d been there since the beginning. If he pushed her to talk to Toshinori maybe she would have the courage to actually do it.
But that wasn’t important. She had friends who actually enjoyed her company, and that’s what mattered.
The weekend was two days away, and a lot could happen in those 48 hours, she found.
_____________________________________
“Fucking useless. So weak,” Y/N cursed, staring down at her burning hands. Blisters had yet to form, but she could feel the pain of her training. She could accumulate heat from her surroundings and expel that from any part of her body. Yet, it seemed that there were more downsides than perks with this quirk she inherited from her parents. Firstly, she could not consciously choose to concentrate the heat in any one area. Usually, it did come from her hands, but often she would find other parts of her body scalding to the touch when she was using her power. Secondly, using her power at high heat would leave her with terrible burns.
Thankfully, her mother gave her bits of a regeneration quirk, meaning the burns only lasted for a couple days, most of the time less than that. Hopefully, with time, she could control the quirk so the damage wouldn’t be so bad.
She hated her quirk. It sucked. She couldn’t do anything much with it or else she would hurt herself and have to stop. Once she was burned so badly that the hospital almost had to amputate one of her limbs just from that.
Sadly, she fell to her knees on the sandy training grounds, just staring down at her hands hopelessly. How could she ever become a pro hero like this? She’d never be able to compete with the other UA students, especially people like Toshinori or Todoroki or even Aizawa.
“Shit,” she shouted angrily, shutting her eyes and slamming her hands against the sand. Her hands lit up a bright red for a quick moment as heat ran through them into the ground. Sand blew up all around her face and rocks were sent flying in all directions. As the dust cleared, she could see a small crater in the ground where she channeled her energy, it wasn’t huge, maybe enough for a person to lay in, but not much bigger.
Her hands stung terribly, and blisters started to bubble up on her skin. She was so full of adrenaline and hate for herself that the pain hadn’t entered her mind. She was just so fucking angry. She would never be good enough. Why even go to UA if she was just gonna get a job outside of the quirk realm? If anything, she’d probably get left behind to be a civilian while everyone she knew got rich and famous from quirk work.
“Hey, are you okay?” a familiar voice asked from somewhere behind her. She turned her head, tears stuck in the corners of her eyes as she drifted out of her reality into the real world. If it didn’t sting so badly, maybe she would have been more excited to see Toshinori Yagi walking in her direction. She hissed, turning back around and shaking her hands to get some cool air on them.
He jogged to her side, kneeling beside her. His eyes widened at the sight of her hands, but also at the hole she left in the ground. “That looks really, really bad. We should get you to Recovery Girl-”
“It doesn’t matter.”
He looked up to her face, his brows raised in surprise. Why would she deny going to the infirmary for an injury like this? She had to be insane, he thought. “What? Why?”
“It’ll heal soon.”
“Do you have a regeneration quirk?” he asked, but as he did so, he gently took her hands in his, which were in comparison, freezing cold. He felt like he was touching fire, but he knew his body was strong enough to handle a little heat. Her skin was already blood red, but him touching her so delicately left her feeling faint. The school’s star pupil was holding her hands. She couldn’t believe it. Even through the pain, she felt bashful.
She nodded. “Yeah, but it will take a day or two.”
“Well then, we’re going now.” He didn’t even wait for her to say anything in reply before picking her up in his arms, one behind her shoulders and the other under her knees. In shock, she could only lay there limp, her burnt hands face up in her lap. “How’d you do that anyway? You have a heat quirk, right?”
“Yeah. I just put too much energy into my hands. I have to use my quirk in moderation,” she explained. “Also, I can walk. It’s fine, you don’t need to-”
“No! You need to save as much of your strength so you can heal your wounds. Recovery Girl can’t heal you completely, I’m sure.”
“Okay. Thank you.”
He walked inside the school building and started talking again. She didn’t know for sure why he was giving her so much of his time and effort. She could have taken herself to the nurse or easily gone home. It was after class. He might have been coming out to train himself, actually. Either way, he was being extremely kind.
“I’m Toshinori Yagi. I’ve seen you around school before, you always hang with the boy with that erasing quirk.”
“Yep. He’s one of my best friends.”
“If I remember right, you’re L/N Y/N? Heat manipulation quirk? You were 4th in this year’s sport’s festival,” he smiled down at her, and she felt herself light on fire once again. How did he remember her? She was such a background character, and even if she did mildly well, her quirk and face weren’t much to remember. “You were super impressive out there, I was surprised. You seem so shy, but really you’re a powerhouse.”
“Not really. I have to hurt myself to do anything good.”
“If you could learn to control your quirk, imagine what you could do with your power?! You made that giant hole in the ground out there in a matter of seconds.” That made her feel good. People normally brought her down, telling her that she would just have to deal with it, that it was a condition of her power. For some reason, this boy believed in her. It made a bit of a smile come to her lips.
His grin felt contagious, and it only grew brighter seeing her lips curl up.
“I guess so.”
“You should let me help you out. I know a lot about control from my own quirk. We’d be a good pair, I think.”
That was when her heart officially stopped beating. He wanted to spend even more time together? He wanted to take time out his day to help her improve? She began to rethink what her friends said about the boy. He didn’t seem full of himself at all. He was generous and kind from the looks of it.
And to think she had a crush on him before. Now she felt her heart swelling up in her chest so much it might explode.
“Really?”
“Yeah, of course.”
That’s how Y/N met the famous All Might, and the moment she started her downward spiral in love with him.
_________________________________
Y/N sat at the lunch table once again with her normal squad of friends, Aizawa to her right as usual. She had one of her books sitting out on the table, a textbook Toshinori gave to her. He said that his own mentor had given that to him to help learn control and moderation of his quirk. She studied it religiously, and surprisingly, it was beginning to work. She had less and less incidents where she had to go to the infirmary or have to extensively heal herself. The training still hurt like hell, but it was less serious.
“Y/N, you’ve been studying a lot lately. Something up?”
“Just trying to get over my weaknesses. Figured I wasn’t working hard enough.”
Just as Aizawa was about to say something else, a loud, excitable voice yelled from a few meters away. “Y/N!”
It was The Toshinori Yagi, the best student at UA. To think two weeks ago, they were telling her he would never know her name. Turns out he already knew, and apparently they were friendly with each other. Oboro’s eyes widened and he elbowed Hizashi beside him, who was jamming on his headphones. Aizawa’s eyes only narrowed.
Her eyes lit up at the sight of the blond boy. He walked over to her seat and leaned his hip on the table, crossing his arms over his broad chest. “You’re really studying that book I gave you, huh? Even at lunch?”
“Of course! I have to do all I can before training.”
“You’ll be fine. You’ve been improving like crazy these past few weeks.”
These past few weeks? Just how long had they been talking?
He smiled kindly at her, and she blushed, hiding her face toward the table. It was weird for the boys to see their little Y/N talking with a boy other than them. And while two of them were ecstatic she seemed to have bagged the hottest boy in the school, one was particularly stormy about it.
“Well, I just stopped by to tell you, you look really beautiful today! You’ve been practically glowing with confidence lately; it’s a really good look on you.”
“O-Oh, thanks, Toshi-kun.”
“I just call it like I see it, Y/N,” he winked, and that sent her heart into overdrive. “Well, I’ve got to go eat, but I’ll meet you outside class later?”
“Yep.”
He left for his table with his super cool friends, leaving her sitting there a flustered, awkward mess. She shoved some rice into her mouth and chewed, trying to hide her embarrassment.
“Sooo, you gonna explain what that was?!” Yamada cried out, clutching at his chest. “Your vibes were too intense, I almost couldn’t handle it.”
She waved the boy off with her hand, trying to downplay it all. ‘It’s really nothing. He’s just helping me train. He has a really good handle on damage control, since we both have stockpile type quirks. I’ve actually gotten somewhat better since then.”
“Seemed like more than that, L/N-chan,”
“I’m telling you, he's just a really, really friendly guy. That compliment was just a friendly one.”
Aizawa sighed, leaning back in his chair. “You’re so dumb, Y/N. He seems like he’s playing with you.” He said it so matter-of-factly, and she glared at him.
“I’ll have you know he’s been helping me a lot with my training but also my healing. He’s very kind and always helps me with anything. He’s never once shown signs he’s not genuine.”
“That’s what a narcissist does to get you comfortable with them, stupid.”
“Can’t you just believe that my crush actually wants to be friends with me and help me? That he’s not just some malicious monster?” When he rolled his eyes, she stood up abruptly, grabbing her book and shoving it into her bag. He sat up quickly and went to grab her wrist, but she moved out of the way swiftly.
“Aw, come on, L/N. Dudette-” Yamada whined, but he knew that Aizawa’s jealousy was getting to the tipping point for the girl. Years went by of him just pushing her away from other guys who liked her and were genuinely kind. Whatever Toshinori was doing with her seemed to give her enough strength to reject the boy’s malice words.
A little bit of him was even proud, the loudmouth admitted to himself.
She kept her head held high, eyes glaring down at the long-haired scruffy boy. He’d never seen her like this: standing up for herself. If she were angry at anyone else, he would be cheering her on, but now he just felt furious. How could she be angry with him? He’d been there since they were children and she just leaves because of some blond himbo.
Her words cut clear in the bustling lunchroom. “I don’t need any negativity right now, Aizawa. If all you want to do is bring me down, then so be it.” After slinging her bag over her shoulder and grabbing her tray, she waved and walked away. As they watched her, she approached the table of her new friend, who greeted her happily. She sat next to Toshinori with a smile on her face, one that Aizawa hadn’t seen directed at him in weeks.
Maybe he was wrong to be bitter, but he just couldn’t believe there wasn’t some conspiracy to all this. How is it that the coolest guy in school goes for Y/N? He thought she was amazing, he had for years, but no one else ever thought that.
Whatever, it didn’t matter anyway. She could do whatever she wanted, and if she got her feelings hurt, so be it.

The pair sat outside the school as always. She munched on an icecream bar from the cafeteria while he leaned back, arm across her shoulders and his eyes drawn to the sky, fading from dimmed orange into deep violet. He had guilt hanging over his head the past few weeks, and it was finally time for him to explain himself.
“I can’t believe we’re done. School went by too quick.”
“I think it goes by faster when you’re fighting evil a couple days a week.”
She nodded, humming in agreement. Her senior year was full of battles, emotional and physical. She was broken to bits when her friend Oboro died or when Toshinori was left to mourn his mentor and they only had each other. Being a hero comes with a cost, but no one expects to be 17 and watch the people they love die all around them. It’s worse when you’re strong enough that you know you could have saved them but you just didn’t. “It was worse than I imagined. I know we’re going to do this for our whole lives, but I don’t want it to hurt as much.”
“That’s why you have to always be better than the villains, Y/N. I know I’m going to be.”
She tucked the clean popsicle stick into her bookbag when she was done with it, not wanting to throw it on the ground. Her hand found its way to his, curling her smaller fingers gently around his. Her smile was all too bright, a trait of his that seemed to grow on her the longer they spent together. “We’ll do it together, right? You and me on top of the charts, just like we dreamed of?.
He relished in the warmth of her hand pressed to his, even if it was just a friendly. He was going to miss moments like this, dreams of the two of them...All that planning for nothing. He sighed, his eyes going from the sky to the dirt beneath their feet. “Y/N, I have something to tell you.”
With a furrowed brow, she asked, “What’s up?” It couldn’t be bad...
“Tomorrow I’m leaving for America. I don’t know how long.”
“What do you mean you’re leaving for America tomorrow?” Y/N asked her best friend, eyes wide with fear. He knew he should have told her earlier, but he couldn’t explain why he was leaving, and he knew the more time she knew the greater chance he would reveal the reason. She couldn’t know about All For One. It would only put her in danger.
He sighed, placing a heavy hand on her shoulder. “I have to go to America. I’m really sorry I didn’t tell you before-”
“I can’t believe this. You waited until the day before to tell me I’ll basically never see you again. You expect me to be satisfied with a two minute goodbye today and just forget about you- about everything?” she asked, a stone sinking to the pit of her stomach. She felt like she was going to cry or get sick. How could he do this to her?
“I know. I know. I should have told you sooner but I couldn’t.”
“Why?”
“Y/N, I’m sorry, I just can’t tell you.”
That answer wasn’t good enough. It was wrong to pry, but the betrayal was too much for her to handle rationally.
She turned her head away from him, staring bitterly at the wall beside her. She refused to meet his eyes. “I thought I could trust you. You’re one of my closest friends, Toshi, but now I know you don’t care. If you cared you would have at least given me a heads up, maybe spent more time with me before you just decide to abandon me,” she sneered, the anger building up in her chest. “You’re too good for someone like me. Shota-kun was right this whole time. Everytime he told me you were just playing with me, that you didn’t actually care about me; he was right, wasn’t he?”
All Might shook his head, trying to reach out to grab her, bring her back to his side. He didn’t want her to turn against him now. He didn’t want to say goodbye with her hating him, her last memory of him being so terrible. Still, she jumped away from her seat, stumbling over her feet to get away from him. “Don’t touch me.”
“Y/N, please. I just want this goodbye to be happy.”
“Goodbyes are never fucking happy, Yagi. You’re so stupid.”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.”
“How could you not?” Y/N bit back her sadness, letting anger take over. “Just forget it. It’s not worth fighting over. You’re leaving, so goodbye. Maybe we’ll see each other again, maybe not. But just know, I would have done anything to stay by your side if you really cared about me.” With those words lingering in the air, she turned on her heel and started to walk away.
“Y/N, please don’t go yet,” he paused, trying to gather himself. She was walking away, her back turned and her head hung. “I love you.”
But she didn’t turn around. What was the point now? She’d lost him already, no use in saying anything back or confessing her love as well. He would still be leaving tomorrow, and they would probably never see each other again. It would break her heart to run back there and hug him, confess her long time feelings to the boy. They were never an item. Maybe if he stayed, they could have been something more.
If he really loved her, he wouldn’t leave her behind. If he really loved her, he would have shut his mouth before those three little words, and saved her the broken heart.

Chapter Two on Ao3
or right here, for your convenience! (also here’s my ko-fi!)
Tenko sat atop one of the biggest trash hills on Dagobah Beach and watched the twig of a teenager try to move a way too big piece of debris. It was... kind of funny to watch him struggle, heels digging deep into the sand. But on the other hand, Tenko knew the kid had really been trying for weeks. This beach could be cleared pretty quickly if Tenko just used his quirk, but Toshi had explicitly told him not to.
But also Toshi wasn't here right now.
Tenko began climbing down the trash pile, years of practice scaling unstable debris making his movements quick and confident. He landed in the sand and pulled off a glove as he approached Midoriya. "Hey, let me get that for you."
The kid jumped, having apparently not noticed him before, but he stepped away when Tenko reached out. "Um, I'm actually supposed to be doing this for t-training..." The piece of trash - part of an old armchair from what Tenko could surmise - crumbled into dust.
"What All Might doesn't know can't hurt him." He shrugged, tugging his glove back on before he stuffed both hands into the front pocket of his hoodie.
Big, green eyes were staring at him in awe. "You're Dust Cloud! I've seen so many videos of your work in rescue, you're amazing, you clearly put so much thought in the way you apply your quirk, there has to be so much physics at work trying to figure out how to only disintegrate parts of a fallen building and not hurting the hostages in the process. How does your quirk work? It needs all five fingers, right? And it's more of a mutation than an emitter because you can't turn it off? Kacchan is kind of like that because his sweat is always explosive, no matter what. Oh, do you control where the decay spreads and how far when it's a large area? Is it true that you once rescued Endeavor's whole family from a villain attack? Are you-" Tenko slapped a hand on the kid's shoulder. "Please stop." He was a lot. Toshi hadn't been lying about that.
"S-sorry!" Midoriya was flushed entirely red and Tenko had to fight back a smile. He'd always thought he wasn't great with kids, but his family had left him no choice but to learn.
"Just slow down a bit if you're actually expecting answers," he suggested mildly, "C'mon, water break. I've been watching you for a while, you need to hydrate."
Midoriya made a soft noise in the back of his throat. "... you've been watching me?"
Tenko shrugged. "All Might couldn't make it today so he asked me to drop by and make sure you don't overextend yourself," he explained.
Midoriya stared at him. "I didn't know you worked with All Might!"
Tenko headed over to where the kid had dropped his backpack, Midoriya trailing after him. "I don't work with him, technically. But he trusts me." He paused. "Enough to tell me how he's planning on giving you his quirk."
Midoriya seemed to short-circuit for a moment. Tenko couldn't blame him. There would probably be a lot of that in the future for the poor kid now that he was involved with Toshi. It was just secrets upon secrets with him. Tenko being one of them.
"Are you still with me?" Tenko asked at the distant look in Midoriya's eyes as he pulled a water bottle out of his backpack and took a few large gulps. When he was finished, the kid nodded. "I just didn't... he hasn't mentioned you. N-not that there was much time to... he's always so busy, so-"
"Slow. Down." Tenko was going to get a headache. Oh, Oboro and Hizashi would adore this boy. Shouta would, too, but he'd try to deny it. And Himiko would be thrilled. Maybe they'd end up in the same class together.
Midoriya swallowed. "S-sorry."
Tenko sighed. "I'm not offended he didn't mention me. Don't worry about that. There's a lot he'll need to fill you in on, and he'll do that on his own time." Like who else knew about One for All, for instance, because it would be important for Midoriya to know who to trust. And it would be important for him to not only be relying on Toshi. As much as Tenko loved his dad, he wasn't actually a great teacher, and in his urge to do everything right all the time, coupled with years of traumatic experiences, he often forgot to consider other perspectives.
“He’s mentioned that, yeah,” Midoriya murmured, “There’s a lot more to this quirk than just… a quirk, isn’t there?”
He was clever. Good. It wasn’t that Tenko didn’t trust Toshi’s judgement, but it was still good to make sure for himself. “There’s… a lot,” he confirmed. They’d have to talk through how and when to reveal which pieces of information. It wouldn’t be fair to let the kid run into things blind, but overwhelming him was also a risk.
This absolutely could not be left to Toshi entirely. Tenko wasn’t the best for it, either. Shouta might be, his deadpan way of delivering information was often comforting. Or Oboro, with his easy empathy. Midoriya seemed like he might need someone gentle to help him along.
“Listen, kid…” Tenko cringed at himself. He wasn’t even that much older than Midoriya, it didn’t feel natural. “There’s a lot of people in your corner here. I’ll talk to All Might, and we’ll figure out how to prepare you for all this. Cleaning trash can’t be all you do. He cares about muscle a bit too much, if you ask me.” Tenko, of course, was mostly lean muscle, too, but the way Toshi used One for All had always been so reliant on strength. It didn’t have to be, though, clearly, when looking at Tenko’s grandmother. And Midoriya needed to grow stronger, yes, but it was doubtful that his fighting style would end up anywhere close to All Might’s. Tenko reached out and awkwardly put a hand on the boy’s shoulder. “Being a hero is about backing each other up, yeah? We’ve got you.”
___
After dropping Midoriya off at home, Tenko wandered the streets, moving in the vague direction of his own apartment. Meeting the kid had been a lot to process. Tenko liked him. He seemed like he’d make a good hero. If he’d make a good Symbol of Peace remained to be seen.
There was no doubt that Midoriya couldn’t be the next All Might. He looked up to him, but he was nothing like him. Maybe that was a good thing. A new generation always promoted change, and while the country would eventually flounder without All Might standing strong to protect it, maybe Midoriya would find his very own way of taking up his mantle.
He certainly had a lot of thoughts in that broccoli-like head of his. Hopefully he’d be able to adjust to the quirk itself alright. Toshinori had his plans for that, but it was a bit of a point of contention between everyone who knew about One for All. Or everyone involved in this situation directly, anyway.
Toshi had refused to contact Gran Torino about it, which Tenko kind of understood, but he was willing to take the first step himself if the old hero’s expertise was needed. Nighteye was another person whose help they could probably use, especially considering that he had a lot in common with what Tenko already knew of Midoriya. If nothing else, they’d be able to strike up a great conversation about limited All Might figurines or something like that. But, once again, Nighteye wasn’t someone Toshi was willing to talk to.
Shouta, of course, insisted that he’d have to get over his personal issues if he wanted to help his successor along to the best of his ability, and Tenko agreed. He just also knew Toshi needed some more time to think things through. And it wasn’t like they were in that much of a hurry.
As long as All Might didn’t get into any big fights and stuck to his time limit, he should be able to uphold his status for another couple years, until Midoriya was finished with high school, at least. That should be doable.
The first thought Tenko had when the window of the store on the other side of the street shattered was ‘oh, please, don’t let this be a sign’.
He broke into a sprint without even a millisecond of hesitation, past the stunned civilians who were just now beginning to turn in the direction of the incident. The shattering of glass had been accompanied by a dull, deep sound, almost like a heavy bass turned up too loud. Tenko had felt it shake his body faintly, even being a little bit further away.
“Call an ambulance!” he shouted over his shoulder at the nearest bystander, who hastily began fumbling with her phone. Tenko left her to it.
He jumped over the broken glass and carefully pushed the door open. There was no screaming or yelling going on, at least, which meant this probably wasn’t a villain. Hopefully.
“Hello?” he called, “I’m a hero! Is anyone injured?”
“Back here!” came the answer, a little delayed, and followed by a cough.
Tenko rounded a shelf that seemed to have had all its contents blown out that were now scattered across the floor, but the shelf itself miraculously still standing – courtesy of construction with both earth quakes and quirks in mind, most likely. The first thing he found on the other side was an older man slumped on the floor and holding his bleeding head. The vest and nametag he was wearing told Tenko that he was staff, and the clear-eyed look of relief told him that the injury wasn’t life-threatening at the very least. There was no use freaking out about head-wounds more than necessary, they always bled a lot.
That wasn’t the main reason for concern, though, and as Tenko took in the scene, his heart sank.
In the middle of all the destruction stood a tiny girl, hands pressed to her ears and shaking her head rapidly as she sobbed. A woman was kneeling in front of her, though a little ways away, seeming hesitant to touch her.
Tenko would estimate the girl to be about four years old, which made her the perfect age for…” “Her quirk,” said the woman, looking up to Tenko with wide eyes, “She just… this is the first time…”
Tenko understood all too well. He reached for the emergency pager he kept in his pocket and pressed the button. If he was very lucky, Eraserhead would be the one to answer his call. But either one of the other two would be great, too, after all, they knew better than Tenko did how to deal with a scared child who couldn’t handle the destructive power of their quirk.
“What are your regular methods of calming her down?” he asked, very carefully moving around the child, not getting too close just in case, and keeping his hands up in a hopefully soothing position. He wished he had his hero costume. Right now, he just looked like some guy with an admittedly not too reassuring looking face, and his habit to wear black on black wasn’t helping. He did put on a small, soft smile though, when the girl’s eyes snapped to him, and while she didn’t stop crying – now interspersed with small hiccups – she also didn’t blow up again, which was Tenko’s main concern.
“I… I just try to take her away somewhere quiet…” the woman who was probably her mother said. She was cradling her arm to her chest, clearly trying not to let on that she was in pain, but Tenko had been trained to recognize that kind of thing.
“Alright, thank you. Are you okay with staying in her line of sight for now?” Getting civilians out of imminent danger was always the first thing that needed to be done, but mothers and children were something else entirely. Tenko didn’t trust that the girl wouldn’t panic even more if her mother left her alone.
“I… yes. Of course.” The woman nodded, face set with determination now.
Tenko glanced around the scene again and took a breath. There were several hero action figures strewn about, most of them broken in some way or another. Some of them were making the noises of messed up voice boxes, repeating the lines that had been recorded for them, or just beeping incessantly.
He pulled off one of his gloves and crouched down, still feeling the girl’s eyes on him as he began to pick up the loud figurines one by one, the cacophony of background noise slowly fading as his quirk worked.
The girl’s crying was subsiding, too. But as Tenko looked up at her, her eyes were glassy and she was trembling slightly. She was going into shock. But she was slowly lowering her hands away from her ears, and that was all Tenko needed.
“Hey,” he said very softly, “It’s okay. Your Mama’s okay, and I’m a hero. I’m here to help, see? I got rid of all the noise.”
The girl sniffled slightly, but nodded.
“Oh, sweetheart…” Her mother seemed to be struggling not to run and wrap her daughter in a hug, but Tenko was glad she wasn’t doing it right now. It had to be incredibly difficult to fight against her own instincts like that.
“I hurt you…” The little girl’s voice was numb, too calm, stating a fact as she stared down at her hands. “I did… I did a bad thing.”
“No, no, I’m fine. I’ll be fine, honey, this wasn’t your fault,” her mother reassured her quickly, speaking a little too fast, hasty in trying to reassure her daughter.
Tenko wasn’t sure that would help. “Would you like to come outside with me?” They would have to take the backdoor to avoid all the onlookers, the gawking crowd that would already be waiting outside. Anything that would set the child off right now would result in even more injuries. Or worse, if they were unlucky.
The girl glanced at his hand, but Tenko put his glove back on and smiled. “See, my quirk doesn’t do anything dangerous when I’m wearing these. We’ll find something like that for yours, too, okay?”
She nodded slowly and reached out a hand, towards him rather than her mother. That was good. She trusted him as a hero to take care of her, even at this age. Having hurt her mother, it made sense she wouldn’t want to touch her right now.
There would be a lot of counselling needed for her to recover from this. But the worst had been averted, and when the girl’s tiny hand slid into Tenko’s, he held fast.
Ten minutes later, Tenko was sipping the free coke the store owner had given to him as a courtesy and watching the ambulance drive away – on board: the little girl, her mother, and a mildly uncomfortable but ever-professional Eraserhead. He’d keep any further quirk accidents from happening, even though everything had calmed down considerably now.
“It’s weird how we’re the kind of people who just attract trouble wherever we go,” Oboro said beside him, leaning his elbow on a cloud, his eyes also fixed on the back of the ambulance. He’d been patrolling with Shouta, and so they’d both come to answer Tenko’s call. And even though Tenko had had everything under control, seeing him show up in his hero uniform had immediately put him at ease. That was what heroes were supposed to do.
“I’m just glad I have a hero license so I can actually do something about the trouble now,” Tenko said. He’d always itched to solve problems, maybe that was part of why he loved video games (and his actual, real life job) so much, and the time before he’d had his hero license had been hell. Growing up surrounded by heroes didn’t help, either. He’d wanted to join them on patrols at six years old already. That was around the time Nemuri had helped him design his first hero costume.
And the thing was, even when Tenko hadn’t been allowed to seek out trouble, trouble had still found its way to him. He wondered if other heroes were like that, too, just people who had been unlucky all their lives and wanted to fight back. Probably not. Tenko just had uniquely bad luck.
Oboro laughed next to him. “Remember the phase when you wanted to become an esports professional?”
Tenko elbowed him in the side. He did not need to be reminded of that. He’d just been an embarrassing teenager and mostly it had been his way of protesting how hard UA classes were. He hadn’t honestly considered it… had he?
“I could still do that,” he pointed out, “Or I could start streaming video games. I bet a ton of people would love to watch.” A lot of his fans appreciated how he’d sometimes start rambling about video games in interviews, after all. Apparently it made him ‘relatable’. Even though he doubted he actually was, once someone got to know him. His best friend was an ever-grumpy burn victim for a reason.
“You could,” Oboro agreed, “I’d be in. We could set you up at the agency and stream together.”
And just like that, Tenko didn’t like the idea anymore. It was really a miracle how fast that could happen. “You know what, I think I’ll stick to private gaming.”
Oboro gasped dramatically, pressing a hand to his chest. “I’m wounded! You just don’t want to be seen with me on camera!”
Tenko rolled his eyes, trying hard not to smile. “We’re on camera together all the time. I just don’t want to be seen with you on camera where it seems like it was my choice.”
“How can you say that? About your favorite uncle?” Oboro pouted, clearly over exaggerating on purpose, and Tenko finally broke and laughed.
“Sorry to break it to you, but you’re just not cool anymore.”
Oboro crossed his arms, but then immediately lit up again. “So you used to think I was cool at some point?”
Tenko snorted. “Uh, obviously.”
He may have looked up to Shouta because he was badass, as a teenager, but Oboro would always receive a special kind of admiration from him. It was only fair. After all, who knew where Tenko would be without him?
#cloudfam au#my writing#happy april y'all i finally did it#the next chapter is gonna be faster i swear#i just really struggled with the store scene#i think regular hero work is just hard for me to write idk

A/N: Sorry about the long wait, had exams. Also, I did not write half of this while watching the election results, no.
Shouta got into the couple’s car and started driving to their home. Hizashi was uncomfortably quiet as we waited for Shouta to finally speak. As they turned the street your apartment was on, Shouta began to talk.
“When I followed her into the building I saw her talking to Saito.” Souta began, Hizashi listening in carefully. “They started talking about her quirk and I noticed she grew upset. I thought this meant he was harassing her and so I pulled her away from him. She pulled away and ran off.”
“So you insulted rejects, yay.” Hizashi said sarcastically. “We are trying to make them trust us so I understand why you went to help her-”
“I called out to her as she ran off.” Shouta interrupted. “I was corrected by Saito. Her name isn’t M/N.”
Hizashi froze in his seat and snapped his head to face Shouta. Shouta kept his eyes on the road, however.
“He said her name was Y/N.”
The two grew silent.
“So. She lied. She doesn’t want us.”
“From what I got out of her she thought we were happy without her.”
“How would sh-” Hizashi snapped at Shouta only to be given a glare.
“I yelled at her for that. That’s why she was crying.”
Hizashi slumped in his seat and crossed his arms. The two stayed silent for a moment before Hizashi broke it.
“So, she doesn’t want us.”
Shouta sighed. “I asked her to give us a chance, and she hugged me.”
Hizashi’s snapped over with a smile.
“That’s good! Is that why we are going to visit her tomorrow?”
Shouta softly smiled at Hizashi’s mood switch. He was worried that his partner will fall into a depression about this again, Hizashi had the most hope out of the two of them.
During their friendship with Oboro, Oboro taught them many things about choosing your own path on soulmates but made it clear he wasn’t saying you should outright reject your soulmate. Like you got to choose your pace of the relationship and not just dive right in just because they are your soulmate.
It was as if he said it before and someone took it differently.
Shouta didn’t know back then but now he does, that person who mistook his words of choosing soulmates was you.
It was probably why on some days, the couple would find times Oboro looked off in deep thoughts drowned in sadness, or how when the three saw you walking home he would make sure the two could see her but never approach.
They knew something happened between you two but they never pushed it out of him. It also hurt them in a way. They thought you were - well, you - and were told you weren’t. They felt so close yet so far. Only for now for it to be revealed they were close this entire time.
“Yes,” Shouta answered. “When we arrive tomorrow we will talk to her about our soulmate bound. She goes to those reject meetings for a reason. All we can hope for is that she will give us a chance.”
---
You’re felt so heavy after crying and hugging Shouta last night. You didn’t even want to get up but you knew you had to, but they were coming over soon and so you had to get ready.
You pushed yourself out of bed and made your way to the kitchen to have a fast cup of water before heading into the shower to get ready. You were a mess but you were going to hide behind a face full of makeup and pretty smells to hid behind.
---
Shouta and Hizashi walked their way from the car park to your apartment door with a small paper bag that had 3 servings of breakfast muffins. The two really didn’t mean to, but they ended up dressing up.
Shouta had his hair tied back, wore black pants and a white button-down shirt. Hizashi had half of his hair in a messy bun and he wore black leather pants with a black v-neck long sleeve shirt.
Shouta knocked and pushed his hands into his pockets. Hizashi waited, swinging on his heels.
“I think we might have overdressed, Shouta,” Hizashi whispered. “it’s only breakfast and we look like we are taking her out for dinner.”
“If we are lucky we will be spending our whole day with her.” Shouta mumbled, a blush starting to form on his cheeks at the idea of you wanting to spend more time with them.
The idea excited Hizashi as well. He had been dying to spend time with you ever since he met you that day in high school. Yeah sure, you were almost kissing Oboro, but he wasn’t angry about it, not anymore anyway.
Shouta was about to grow impatient until he doorknob jiggled.
The two froze and watched as you opened the door.
You peaked out to see who it was, being relieved it was the two. You were surprised about their clothing choice as it was July, one of Japan’s hottest months. You wore a white sundress that had your favourite flowers printed onto it. You also had a light cardigan on just for if the cooler in your apartment got too much.
“Isn’t hot?” You asked the two.
The two stared at you before beginning to blush of embarrassment. They were going to regret their choice of clothing later into the day.
“We brought breakfast!” Hizashi smiled as he stepped closer to you.
You opened the door wide so they could enter. You saw how Hizashi practically ran in, a bounce being in his steps. Shota followed eyeing what you were wearing.
You closed the door behind them and took in a breath. You’ve never been this close to them before and in such a comfortable manner. They were both really eager to have the relationship between you three work. You could tell they would have done anything for you just to like them.
You made your way to the kitchen and the two followed you, like dogs to their owner.
“You two want coffee or tea?” You asked awkwardly.
“Straight black for me,” Shouta answer before looking up at Hizashi for a fast second then back to you. “Please.”
You felt your heart sting.
They may be trying to put in the effect for you, but the love they clearly have each other will always be there.
You weren’t needed.
Why should you be selfish and want their love for yourself?
You turned around to get Shouta’s coffee, the two noticed how you looked tensed and their glance at each other.
Hizashi mentally kicked himself. Shouta said you felt as if you were not needed or wanted in this relationship. Hizashi wanted to prove that was not the case to you.
“What will you have, little Princess?” Hizashi smiled as he leaned onto his hand.
Shouta stiffened from the nickname and you snapped your head around.
“Uh, w-what?” You asked as your cheeks burned.
You were kinda ashamed at how you were responding to the nickname. Your body buzzed happily at it, wanting him to call you that again.
“I will have whatever you’re having darling.” He smiled, looking into your eyes deeply as he tried to memorize all the colors.
You blushed at the nicknames he was giving you. Weren’t sort of names you give to your partner? Shouta doesn’t seem that fazed by it.
Did… Did this mean he already saw you as part of the relationship?
No, that can’t be it. They were just playing nice for you. That had to be it.
“I’m having a hot chocolate.” You finally answer him.
Hizashi’s smile widens from your response.
“Good choice sweetcheeks. Again, I’ll have what you’re having.” He winks at you with his tongue pointing out.
You couldn’t stop or hide the blush burning into your cheeks. Shouta smirked at the reaction, finding it very cute. You pulled your head around, forcing your head around to let yourself cool down.
Shouta looked over at Hizashi and saw an evil smirk on his lips. Shouta followed his eyes and noticed how Hizashi was eyeing your skirt. Shouta side-eyed Hizashi and coughed.
“Your dress looks really nice on you, Y/N.” Shouta said as he rubbed the back of his head. Maybe he wasn’t as open with his flirting like Hizashi, but he still wanted to let you know it wasn’t one-sided flirting that only Hizashi delivered.
“Um, thank you.” You said as your cheeks burnt. You got the kettle and brought it to the tap so you could start pooring water into it.
Than Hizashi had to speak.
“I agree. It really shows off your cute butt!” He smilled.
Your body froze. You felt the harsh blush on your cheeks grow to your ears and heat grow between your legs. You took in a breath and let your body relax before responding.
Hizashi and Shouta watched you. Hizashi waiting to see what you would reply with, and Shouta hoping you won’t reply negatively. He knew Hizashi was going to fast and needed to slow down. When he saw how you were trying to relax, he decided to take control of the conversation.
“We should be talking about why we are here, Hizashi.” Shouta side-eyed his partner.
Both you and Hizashi stiffened. Hizashi because Shouta had changed the topic but also for reminding him of why there were there. You for that same reason, because the following conversation was going to really put you in your place.
You brought the kettle out of the sink and put it on, turning off the tap. You started getting the cups ready for the hot drinks, waiting for Shouta to start the conversation.
Picking up on your social cue to him, Shouta began the conversation.
“Why dod you lie about your name and not having soulmates?”
You turned around after putting in mugs with milk into the microwave. You crossed your arms so they would not pick up how nervous you were.
“When I was younger I had many issues with people around me judging me. When I was 10 I made the decision to hide thee names to protect myself. I moved away from the town and moved here. Because of my quirk, I then got used to people using me for my quirk and so I never really had a true friend until I met Oboro.”
“Oboro talked about his views on soulmates.” Shouta sat back in his chair as he mentally brought puzzle pieces together. “With you using to hiding our names and with Oboro’s ideals, you thought you weren’t needed?”
“Oboro’s ideals worked for him because he didn’t have a soulmate.” Hizashi comment. You noticed he wasn’t in the playful mood he was in a minute ago, but now mirroring Shouta. Either from their UA training or the amount of time, they had together. “He gave you his ideals because he thought you were like him.”
“That is true…” You tried to avoid their gaze. “I guess I got attached to the idea that I got to choose that I didn’t really think the ideals wouldn’t work for me.”
“Why did you give me a fake name those years ago?” Hizashi asked, with a hint of sadness behind it.
You bit your inner lip from the pain in his voice. You made him sad, did you even deserve their forgiveness?
“I actually found out about you two before the sports festival. Oboro came running into my room and told me about my name on Shouta’s wrist and realised it was me. I don’t know how, my names were always covered. Maybe he saw it one time he came over after school. When he told me he really pushed me to meet you two and I grew scared. When you walked in on us Hizashi I panicked and just gave you my middle name. I just continued the lie. And when Oboro and I stopped being friends… I didn’t think I would see you guys again.”
The room grew quiet as Shouta brought all the information together.
“You have made mistakes, but I know for Hizashi and I, we want to have a relationship with you. We can take this relationship slowly if that’s what you want, just at least give us a chance, please.”
Your heart warmed at his words. Even though you had your doubts, you knew in your heart you wanted to try as well.
“Please, Y/N.” Hizashi’s eyes begged. “Please let us love you.”
You were quite. You knew your answer. You wanted to love them, so, so much.
But would it be best for you?
The microwave and kettle went off at the same time,
“Alright, we will take this slow for now.” You said, opening up the doors you locked a long time ago, thinking they would never be open. The doors to let your soulmates love you.

NON-SPOILER REVIEW
Overall: That was so much fun!! It might as well have been a real live! Lots of audience participation, lots of singing, wooing, dancing along etc. It was so. much. fun! I even cried! I cried at one point because it was sad. And I cried another time just because it was so much fun, I didn’t want it to end! It was so good! For me, the MVP was either Yojiro and/or Kensuke xD I’m happy they did a story from the anime. They’ve left it open enough to continue too! I hope we get another stage AND another live! Also I want a CD asap! Rating: 8.5-9/10
Seriously all the stages I’ve seen lately have been amazing! YumeStage, EnStage, (spoiler alert >) Honoo no Mirage, Captain Tsubasa, UtaPuri, now this!!
STORY
The story is about another battle of the bands but, we have the ex-members of Amatelast who are trying to get the band back together and plotting ways of breaking Rom and Shuuzo up from their current bands; with Rom and Shuuzo’s past coming up and both of their groups think they’re going to leave them. We also have a band coming from the future to warn them that everything is bad.
SPOILER REVIEW
Where to start?!??!!? xD
SCENES/COMMENTS
The opening straight away was hilarious because after Trichronika performed, Kai gave Shuuzo some water but Shuuzo/KenKen coughed on his water hard, couldn’t get his line out, and everyone was dying of laughter so he ‘started over’ and take a sip of water again xD Rui’s faced cracked hard when it happened.
There’s a scene where Crow looks and acts trashed out of his head drunk; but he’s just milk-drunk xD it’s so adorable and cute!
There’s a scene with Crow on a bike (he’s doing his part time job), and he ends up banging into Adam twice, and the second time even YoneChan cracked up and laughed his line out.
I was lucky enough to be right next to the break between the front seating area and the back seating area. I got so many good views and closeness from people <3 I was super happy that Naoya and KenKen came in from my side and they were like BAM right there! Also, there’s a scene where KenKen gets carried by Judas Jrs across this aisle area and because I was right next to the exit door for him, he was so slow leaving my eye line <3 and he waved to all of us as he went past too! In fact almost ALL of them walked past at one point because they wall came out in a line when they time traveled back to when Amatelast (Shuuzo, Rom, Adam and Eve) were together. And Akazawa walked so slowly in that outfit of his that he took ages to walk past me xD
Another golden moment thanks to me seat was Teruma headbanging almost AGAINST the girl in front of me - his hair was ALL in her face; she was dying of laughter as was I xD She was super duper happy after he left though - NOT because he left, but she got such direct fanservice. And Torigoe was across from me, leaning over the front area bar to give some girls fanservice too.
There’s a scene where Shingan are in a bar finding out about the Battle of the Bands tournament, but while Rom and Crow are trying to get sense of their manager, Yaiba/Torigoe was pretending to be a cat and was following Teruma’s tail around and Teruma was purposely playing with his tail and putting it in Torigoe’s face. Then Crow ends up with a flower and he uses it on both Teruma and Torigoe who became cats xD I’m pretty sure this is a higawari. Which Naoya/Rom could always perfect stop with his mighty fists and punches xD
OH! One major thing I love about this stage is that EVERYONE’S mics are on so if (for example) 8 characters are on stage, you can hear everything; also they’re pretty much able to play around and do stuff and interact stupidly if it’s not their line or if they’re not a major point to the scene so we saw a lot of hilarious things going on; both planned and unplanned.
Speaking of Rom’s fists! When he punches the teddy version of Manager Maple and then a mini teddy of him drops from the sky xD so funny!
But also speaking of fists and punches; Crow and Rom’s showdown fight broke my heart and it was during such a sad song sung by Teruma, Torigoe and Kimeru too! BUT it was impressive seeing YoneChan have such energy to keep falling almost every time Naoya ‘hit’ him. It was very well choreographed.
Related to Teruma! There’s a part of a song where he has to do screamo and oh my! Teruma’s screamo!!! It was good! His singing is always great but I didn’t know he could do screamo singing too!
OH! And those damn Shingen aprons are back! I was great seeing those again! And when Torigoe and Teruma’s part time ob involved cleaning the Judas Studio and they had to pretend to not be Yaiba and Aion so they could overheard Arcareafact’s conversation. Aion cleaned the floor in front of Argon as if he was playing Curling. And Torigoe put on an old woman’s voice and potted around. At one point Teruma always span around wipping the broom around too which was very funny.
Another funny part is when Kimeru finds Riku late at night but accidentally scares him by shouting, and so Riku runs of stage screaming, BUT Riku’s screaming also caused Kimeru to panic and scream too in return and he sort of ducked where he was. Then Kimeru went backstage to grab a weeping Riku and pulled him back on stage xD
I really love when the Manager actor sings too! There’s two great parrts! The first is when he sings on stage and slowly the rest of Shingan join in except Rom who’s just like ‘wtf are you all doing?’ but eventually Crow drags him to join in xD the other time is when he’s talking to Shuuzo in the aisle and he sings all his lines and also walks off singing. Shuuzo ends the scene by going ‘it seems like someone’s listening to us (meaning the audience xD)’.
I cried so easily and so hard when Shuuzo got to the hospital and was like (to Riku - who had gotten himself into a car accident because he was so miserable and upset about Shuuzo possibly leaving them) ‘YOU IDIOT! I WAS SO WORRIED!’ And then he hugged Riku and Kai like ‘I’ll never leave you two’. Shortly after this moment, we also have Kimeru breaking down which also broke my heart, especially because the scene fades to black with Kimeru just scream-crying his heart out =[ To then have the bands start performing straight after... it took me a good song to calm down and get back to enjoying it. But then I fully enjoyed it! SO MUCH FUN!
You can tell those that have Live/Band experience because they went ALL out and you can hear it in their voices by how well trained their vocals are and how amazing their range it and how they can blast out a song and not get tired: YoneChan, KenKen, Kimeru. Their love of performing just oozes out from them and very obvious to see.
I NEED a second live so I can do and support them!! They were all amazing! All the songs are great!!
I need another LIVE, another STAGE, AND I want a CD released please!!
ACTING
I won’t mention everyone, sorry(!)
Yonehara Kousuke as Crow: YONE IS THE PERFECT CROW! Need I say an more? He has so much DAMN energy and he’s just loud and crazy and does stupid things but also cares so much for his friends; he is EXACTLY as Crow should be. And that tummy, am-I-right?!
Naoya Goumoto (Takigawa Eiji) as Rom: While what happened to Eiji is terrible and unfortunate, I was so happy when Naoya got announced as his replacement. And he did not disappoint; he was enough Naoya as he was Rom <3 Rom is a character both he and Eiji suit very well. And we got to see Naoya WITHOUT a shirt! Like waaah! And he’s well toned too! I was goooogling a lot xD
I assume it’s a higawari but there’s one part when Rom is a salaryman and begging his boss for money and the boss says if he wants the money then he should do a Monomane/Impersonation. A girl in the audience told him to be a bicycle and YoneChan (who was on stage with Kimeru, looking on at Naoya and the boss) pointed to the bicycle on stage like ‘there’s one here!’ . But Naoya did the bicycle and used his tail to make it look like a seat but as he left the room as a bicycle, he blurted out ‘ISN’T THIS THE WRONG SHOW?! (referring to YowaMushi Pedal xD)’. It was hilarious.
Kamakari Kenta as Shuuzo: I love how KenKen just OWNS his mistkes in a way that he pretends they didn’t happen while everyone else is dying of laughter. Before the after event live started, he came on stage and fucked up his own bands name AND the name of the music tournament and he just ignored the fact he made the mistakes, smiled to the audience and continued his lines xD
By the way, Mitsuya Ryo (who played Shuuzo previously) was there tonight; KenKen did sing directly at someone in the audience at once point, so could’ve been him. I have so much respect for Mitsuya; he went to a musical where he was replaced and it’s clearly obvious KenKen is doing the FAR superior performance, yet he is all buddy buddy and smiles with KenKen and it looks genuine. If it had been me, I wouldn’t be going anywhere NEAR stages I get replaced in.
AND I’M SO HAPPY WE GOT TO SEE HIM AS DARK SHUUZO!! I love dark Shuuzo and his outfit was so pretty and sparkly!! *dead*
Yutaro as Riku: His singing has gotten a tad better than Hatsukoi Monster, but he definitely should not be cast in musicals. He’s able to act so he can stay in the stage world but he shouldn’t force his voice vocally so muhc xD BUThe character was so cute and adorable! He was the cutest whenhe was in hospital and had these white pjs on <3 And he was totally cute in the AfterEvent; he was the last one to put his instrument back, and KenKen and Rui waited so patiently for him. When he turned around and saw they were already waiting, he was a little flustered and hurried down to them; so cute! His character in this is very similar to his character in Hatsukoi Monster (review here).
Kihara Rui as Kai: It’s SO weird seeing him so adorable and cute and smiley! The gap between his true self (which I’ve heard is somewhat very straight faced and -__-) and this character is amazing. Also seeing him in Give Up Dance and then in this and seeing the drastic difference even between those characters is amazing! He’s definitely a talented actor and could go a long way. It was totally adorable when Teruma and Torigoe stole his drumsticks xD OH also he does this cool/kakkoi line during his solo song which was so cool yet also laughable xD
Itokawa Yojiro as Titan: Is there anything this mother fucker can’t do? I mentioned in my non-spoiler that he and/or Kensuke are the MVP of this stage for me. His voice is AMAZING! I didn’t expect him to sing SO WELL! But I should’ve because it seems to be part of the Bancho Boys requirements that they can sing (seriously, they can ALL sing from what I’ve heard so far). His voice was so great! He’s definitely his strongest when he’s NOT doing super high notes but still he was soooo good! I want everyone to hear his pretty voice! I’m trying NOT to be his fan because he already has a loyal and big-ish following but damn... he’s a great actor, he’s in a crap ton of popular shows, he can sing, he’s cute, we practically have the same birth, I enjoy everything he does... ugh... someone stop me from falling indeep with yet another actor. Also, his pants looked really good on him.
I really hope the next stage is Arcareafact’s backstory because Titan has a sad but interesting back story that I want to see on stage. Especially if it’s Yojiro! Goddammit boi.
Tsuji Ryo as Arashi: He looked freaking adorable! He was soooo cute!
Isaka Ikumi as Oboro: He looked SUCH cool and interesting. Visually he looked great; I want to see his (and the rest of Ninjinriot) developed more in future!
Takahashi Kensuke as Rin: OMG Kensuke, you know no chill. He was absolutely fabulous in this stage! Surprisingly his boobs become the least interesting part about him very quickly. How he can walk in those heels, constantly up and damn the stairs, with the massive height he already has is IMPRESSIVE. And his skirt was so DAMN short that my eyes were like o_O whenever he was on stage or near me (which he walked past me once and I got a good eyefull of his chest and how flawless his skin is around his arms and back - lucky bugger). With the heels and the skirt, his thighs looked amazing! And then his mannerisms were so feminine and fitted the character so perfectly and he kept in character SO FREAKING WELL! He was so pretty and so beautiful <3 how he suited this character so well is CRAZY! But I just wish he had more lines, more stage time, and actually sang - he didn’t sing at all, just ‘played’ his guitar xD I hope we get to see more of him in future stages/lives.
Akazawa Ryotaro as Kamui: He was so adorable too! But he walked so clunkingly and so slowly in his outfit xD
Judas JR: Were ALL adorable!!
KIMERU as Adam: It’s obvious I’m going to say he was wonderful and perfection in this! Kimeru always is. He KNOWS how to literally put on a show and be entertaining. Kimeru is always fabulous and always the life of the party and you can tell he LOVES performing and singing!
After Event
KenKen is amazing at being awkward but also just brushing it off and being normal xD << I already mentioned this moment above.
The special Trikronika live was so much fun! Especially when KenKen couldn’t even say their name properly and Riku and Kai corrected him about three times but pretend he never said it nor that he didn’t hear them xD
The live was A LOT of fun! They sang INSIDE -- when he said that, even lost their shit for some reason -- tis a good song though.
*
GOODS
I, and so many other fans, appreciate it so much that they decided to sell Eiji’s stuff too!
*
And there we have it! I had to get this one out ASAP because I enjoyed it so much!

Late Birthday Present for writer-of-worlds!
Beginning Commentary: SO, my writing friend, @writer-of-worlds, had a birthday in April. I, however, was too caught up with schoolwork to do anything for them at that time. But now I have a few days off before summer school, I decided to make up for that. Happy late birthday~!
This is a modern AU I came up with a while ago…which was developed because I thought Kaze would look nice in a short-sleeved dress shirt and glasses. If this is interesting enough, I can elaborate more on this.
“You know, Kaze, you seem to be quite distracted today,” the older man with his teal hair in a messy ponytail commented, placing a pile of books down on the closest surface he could approach.
The younger man with the clean-cut yet still relatively long (for a man, that is) green hair, aged to be around his college years, blinked and freed himself from his daydreaming pose.
“Ah, my apologies, Sir,” Kaze quickly spoke, immediately snapping his attention to his boss. “I won’t let it happen again.”
“Come now, Kaze. I may be your employer, but I’ve also known you since you were a boy. If something troubles you, I’m open to chat with you. I’ve yet to reach the level of heartless CEO, after all.”
True, Yukimura’s book shop was still in its mom-and-pop phase of business; he only managed to open it around four years ago. How it was being slightly successful in the digital area is up to anyone’s guess, though.
“Very well,” Kaze sighed. “Corrin’s birthday is soon approaching and I still have no idea what to do for her. I tried buying tickets for one of her favorite bands, but they sold out the second they were released to the general public.”
“Ah, I see. Are there any other performances she might be interested in?”
“Unfortunately, no. …Unless she were somehow into polka music.”
Yukimura chuckled slightly before clearing his throat.
“And I’m certain you’re far past the phase of giving each other gift cards, correct?”
“If it were just a gift card, I feel she’d think I would break up with her. No, I want this to be special, Sir. We’ve been together for a few months now, with this being the first birthday of hers where we’re a couple.”
“In that case, don’t go too overboard so that you don’t scare her off. If you show too much dedication, she’ll think you’re obsessed with her. I’d say hold off on the very expensive gifts after a few years have passed, such as jewelry.”
“Well noted. Do you have any other suggestions?”
“Hm… How about a trip to the observatory run by Professor Izana? I’ve heard he’s quite a romantic, so a tale such as yours could easily get you in.”
Now it was Kaze’s turn to chuckle, a warm smile staying on his face afterward.
“That might actually work. Thank you so very much.”
“Not a problem. …Though, could you please return to work? I know this might be a slow day, but I still want us to be ready for customers.”
“Yes, Sir.”
Once work had finished, Kaze returned to his apartment complex building. Before he entered his own, though, a thought occurred to him.
Would the observatory be enough for her? I feel she should also get a material gift. …But what?
Kaze thinned his lips, but then decided to go three doors down to hear other opinions on the matter.
He gently knocked on the door, to which he was greeted by his four-year-old nephew Asugi.
“Hi, Uncle Kaze!” Asugi exclaimed.
Kaze smiled and got to the boy’s eye level, soon ruffling his black hair.
“Hello to you, too, Asugi.”
“Asugi, I told you not to open the door without asking who’s at it!” A woman with her long, black hair in a ponytail and bangs covering her face gently scolded him.
“I’m sorry, Mom…” Asugi pouted.
She sighed, but then paid attention to the man in question. “Oh, hello Kaze. Saizo won’t be home from the restaurant until later tonight.”
“Sorry to bother you, Kagero. I was actually hoping you could help me come up with a present for Corrin’s birthday.”
“Get her a bunch of candy!” Asugi exclaimed.
“Now now, we don’t want her to get cavities like you would,” Kagero smiled. “How about you go play in your room while I help your uncle?”
“Okay, but I hope I get candy for my birthday.”
With that, the boy closed the door, and Kagero offered Kaze a place to sit on the couch.
“Can I get you anything?” She asked in the small kitchen.
“No thank you, I’m fine,” Kaze replied.
And so, they sat opposite of each other.
“So, what do you need my help in?” Kagero asked.
“Has Corrin told you about anything she’s had her eye on? I assume Orochi must gossip about these sorts of things and you are her closest friend.”
“Then why not approach her?”
“She drains too much energy from me, if I’m being honest…”
“Yes, she does tend to do that. Let’s see… I believe last Tuesday she told me that she saw Corrin walk into Oboro’s boutique during her lunch break.”
“Interesting. …It’s not too expensive there, correct?”
Kagero held a laugh in.
“Fear not, Kaze. I’m sure you can afford her wares on your salary. After all, you don’t have to buy her a complete outfit.”
“Ah…yes. Good to know…”
“…You were planning on that, weren’t you?”
“N-no, of course not.”
He soon looked away from her to hide his embarrassment.
Kaze made note to thank his lucky stars, as the observatory was only fifteen minutes away from town. Professor Izana, although busy with his work, was surprisingly approachable and…quite eccentric.
He’s almost an exact clone of Orochi… Kaze remarked to himself.
As he told his story the good astronomer, Izana looked at him as if he were telling the juiciest gossip, and gasped at the end. He wholeheartedly agreed that Corrin should be treated to a night under the stars, and told Kaze he would clear everything up by next Saturday.
Kaze thanked him, but before he could leave, Izana asked him to go over whether he wanted a laser show or not.
At first, Kaze was confused as he entered the boutique. It was clearly made for women, and he had no idea which item Corrin solely focused on. What if he got her something she would think was ugly by accident? He was half tempted to call Kagero and ask her to go with him so she could give him her input, or to at least get Orochi’s number so he could talk with her about this.
The store’s owner, Oboro, herself eventually walked out to see what was wrong, and he explained his woes to the blue haired woman. She snickered, saying that men tended to be clueless about these sorts of things, but still offered her help. Oboro apparently recalled Corrin looking at a new black and white scarf, but told her that she couldn’t afford it yet.
Ah, now I see. This would match with her hair and favorite headband, Kaze thought.
Fortunately, Kaze actually had the money to purchase said scarf.
Corrin was the kind of girl who preferred sleeping in on the weekend, which made being a light sleeper sensitive to light and sound quite annoying. Such as the case when her phone buzzed on the nearby nightstand. She groaned and pulled her sheets over her head, further messing up her long, white hair, until she remembered:
OH, RIGHT! Today’s my birthday!
Birthday texts began flooding since last night at midnight, with the first sender being her mother of all people. With all the texts, though, Kaze had yet to message her. She was starting to get worried until she got a buzz.
you are free tonight yes?
Corrin squeaked. He was always so formal with her and she thought it was adorable.
yep~! ;3
Perfect. i’ll pick you up at 6. :-)
She had to remember that her cousin and roommate, Azura, was sleeping in the next room and to prevent screaming on the top of her lungs, she buried her head in her pillow and squealed. Corrin couldn’t really explain why she was as excitable as she was now. Normally, she felt more of a mature bond with her boyfriend of seven months, as she did her best to act her age around him, but today she felt like a high schooler all over again.
Azura had given Corrin an iTunes gift card for $50 along with a cute little card with an iguana on it before she had to head off for rehearsals. She received a Facetime chat with her “siblings” (family friend’s children) all the way in Nohr (in order: Xander, Camilla, Leo, and Elise) all wishing her a happy birthday before Xander had to leave for a business meeting. A few hours after breakfast and a quick shower, her stepsiblings of Hoshido (in order: Ryoma, Hinoka, Takumi, and Sakura) had coerced her to eating lunch with them and spending most of the afternoon in the local square.
“We wanted to plan a surprise party, but our restaurant has another party planned tonight,” Corrin’s red-headed older sister Hinoka sighed.
“Yes, one of our shareholders Anna decided to have a family reunion,” the man with the long, spiky black hair named Ryoma added.
“Nothing wrong with that, I’m glad I can spend time with you at all!” Corrin smiled.
Ryoma gave Corrin a commissioned painting of flowers, saying that Kagero had quite an eye when she was serious about her artwork. Hinoka presented a model aircraft, which at first confused everyone until Corrin told them that the two of them bonded over flight shows. Takumi did his best to act like he didn’t care when he gave his older half-sister a copy of the fourth book in The Illusionary Mages saga, one of their favorite series. And Sakura timidly gave Corrin a little pink plush dragon.
After doing some window shopping, Corrin had returned home to relax and continue reading birthday messages as she snacked away on her hidden junk food stash. Azura was a complete health nut, so she had to make sure she wouldn’t get any crazy ideas.
…Speaking of crazy ideas…
babe are we going to a fancy restaurant tonight? Corrin typed.
After a few minutes, a response appeared.
oh no i’m sorry :-(
Whew, I can eat before we go, then.
dont worry i still love you <3 we can hang out after this?
i would like that very much :-)
Corrin laughed to herself, he started typing with emoticons not too long after the two started dating and even after all this time, he was still doing the basics. She couldn’t wait to see how he would react to emojis.
A knock on the door was soon to be heard, and after doing some last minute touch-ups, Corrin took a deep breath and opened the door.
“HEY!” She exclaimed, soon launching herself into her boyfriend’s arms. Fortunately, Kaze was grounded well enough to not fall backward in this surprise attack.
“Happy birthday, dear,” Kaze said after sharing a short kiss and pressing his forehead against hers. “Are you ready to go?”
“Yep, let me just lock the door behind me. So, what do you have planned for tonight, hm?”
“That’s a surprise.”
“Ooh, this is gonna be good.”
Corrin bounced a little, which Kaze found utterly adorable.
Kaze once again made note to thank his lucky stars, as his roommate Silas had agreed to let him borrow the car for this occasion. Silas was a pleasant guy in general, but he was serious about his car. One time, someone scratched it and it took all of Silas’ willpower not to yell at the one responsible.
“Saizo wanted me to tell you happy birthday as well, as he’s busy at the restaurant tonight,” Kaze said as he opened Corrin’s door for her.
“Ah, okay. For a second there I thought he disliked me,” Corrin joked. “After all, Kagero and Asugi actually sent me a video with him not there.”
“He’s never been one for celebrations, if I’m to be honest.”
Because it was her birthday, Kaze allowed Corrin to listen to her favorite station. However, he still preferred a quiet car so he could focus more and be able to speak clearly without talking over whatever music Corrin was listening to.
“We’re heading out of town?” Corrin asked. “Oh gosh, oh gosh.”
Kaze chuckled a bit.
“Don’t worry, dear, I’m not planning anything malicious.”
“Kaze, you’re too sweet to do anything malicious. I’m just getting excited is all.”
“Ah, I see.”
“Plus you have to remember I’ve been taking that self-defense class.”
“I remember, poor Jakob had his back out for nearly three days when you demonstrated your prowess to me.”
Kaze made sure to park a little distance away from the observatory, as he wanted to surprise Corrin as much as he could. He wanted to have her eyes closed until they approached it, but anyone could see the observatory nearly a mile away with how big it was.
“I haven’t seen this place before,” Corrin said. “Is it new?”
Whew, the surprise isn’t completely ruined.
“It is for you,” Kaze smiled, once again opening Corrin’s door for her and holding his hand out for her to hold onto.
They approached the normal-looking doorway and into a slightly dark hallway. Kaze made sure to help Corrin up a spiral staircase, and they soon approached Professor Izana standing in front of his desk and a telescope.
“Welcome, welcome! I’m Professor Izana, but please call me Izana!” He eagerly shook Corrin’s hand.
“Oh, hello. I’m Corrin,” she laughed awkwardly. “Nice to meet you.”
“Very lovely to meet you, as well. Your boyfriend here wanted to make tonight extra special, so you must be quite the special little lady.”
“Uh, thank you…”
Kaze cleared his throat.
“Oh, right! We’re in for a real treat tonight, so please, head back downstairs and follow the light filled hallway to find your seats.”
“He sure is spontaneous,” Corrin whispered.
“Indeed,” Kaze remarked quietly. “Still a nice fellow, though. I promise.”
The two found their seats, which Corrin remarked was like a movie theater, and the dome ceiling slowly opened itself up. Corrin gasped as the night sky revealed itself, a very nice shade of navy blue mixed with a few lighter shades, clear of any clouds, and thanks to the lack of city lights, the stars could actually be seen.
“There’s so many,” Corrin said under her breath.
“Beautiful, aren’t they?” Kaze grinned as he held onto Corrin’s hand.
“They’re incredible!”
Corrin gasped once more when she noticed a shooting star. The first shooting star of that night, as it were.
“A meteor shower?! I can’t believe that the sky decided to give me a meteor shower for my birthday!”
Kaze was stunned, he certainly hadn’t planned for that to happen. He looked over to the window above him and noticed Izana giving him a thumb’s up.
Is this a special effect, then? Kaze thought.
“Oh, Kaze, this is wonderful!” Corrin exclaimed, soon wrapping her arms around Kaze’s shoulders and kissing his cheek in rapid succession.
“Well, I actually had another gift that I found the other day…” Kaze said as he tried to reach for the gift. Corrin halted after he spoke, and he managed to give her a small pink box with a black ribbon tied on it.
Corrin once again gasped (this must be a new record) as the black and white scarf appeared.
“OH MY… HOW DID YOU KNOW!?” Corrin squeaked.
“Let’s just say I had a friend to help.” Kaze pressed a small kiss on Corrin’s cheek this time. “Happy birthday, my love.”
Corrin felt like her heart could burst right out of her chest with how sweet Kaze was being. She immediately stood out of her seat and sat right on Kaze’s lap to wrap her arms around his shoulders once more and kiss him this time on the lips. …And repeated that action for a few minutes or so.
“Well now I have to find a way to make your birthday as special as this one,” Corrin spoke as she attempted to catch her breath.
“Honestly, you don’t have to…” Kaze blushed.
“But babe, you’re always such a sweetheart to me! Can’t I be a sweetheart to you?”
She gave him a big pair of puppy dog eyes and an overdramatic quivering lip. Kaze couldn’t help himself from laughing softly.
“Alright, I’ll let you do that. But just to let you know, I’ve always thought you were a sweetheart.”

FE: Birthright Randomised Chapters 8 and 9
(aka ‘Takumi is surrounded by idiots, also I broke the game. whoops.’)
welp, y’all know the drill by now, so let’s get right into it >:3
oh, but before I do I wanna ask a question; I’m considering changing some of the unit’s classes Like I could change Yukimura into an Archer with his already good Skill growth and make him a Crit lord like Takumi was in the original (b/c we can add competitive into the equation too)
another idea I had was to make Saizo a Malig Knight for the magic growth to be put to use? or give him a flame shuriken idk
and then there was an idea to possibly change Kagero into a Wyvern Lord to make use of that resistance and defence growths? pls tell me if these are ok ideas idek-
considering making Azama an archer as well for the same reason as Yukimura; become a crit lord
I’m gonna promote Kaden into a strategist when I can tho, and he’ll become an insane glass cannon with all the magic he’ll get from that 50% growth
please tell me if these are actually ok ideas or if I’m an idiot and I should do something else, I like to think I’m decent at this game but I’m not-
Anyway! Chapter 8! Let’s go! and find out who Takumi’s retainers are! And who Hayato is!
ahh yes, the Eternal Stairway .... everytime I get bad flashbacks of the Eternal Stairway map in Conquest ahahhh;;;;;;
I can relate to Corrin when they try to be funny but really aren’t hahah;;
Rinkah is ready slap a sneaky bitch right here
aaaaand there’s the Faceless it’s funny how they can pop out of nowhere given how huge they are (I know they aren’t actually Faceless because magic n stuff but it’s funny to think of a Faceless trying to be sneaky)
ya know, for Corrin being quite against fighting and all that, they certainly do make a lot of threats-
Well done, you killed some innocent people I hope ur happy, IAGO
speak of the shitlord and he shall appear .... unfortunately he is quite amusing tho, ngl, like Excellus in Awakening
aaaaand here we are in Wind Tribe territory!
Word of what happened certainly travelled very quickly unless Iago possibly went and told the Wind Tribe about it, which... would make a lot of sense, actually
Mozu; the person you definitely want to stop a conflict-
aaaand we’re fully in the chapter! ohh man I can’t wait to see who Takumi’s retainers aaarrrreeeee gonna do the battle prep first tho Yikes, Kaden’s probably not a good idea here since he’s on horseback; he basically won’t be able to move at all aaand the only person who can use Dragon Veins (so far) is Corrin. Fun. :’’’D but we will get Takumi so that’s a plus
... ya know what? to heck with it. I’m making Yukimura an archer, and therefore a critlord >:D
awwww yeah and he still has a C rank in booowwwwwsss >:3ccccccc
right, time to see who Takumi’s retainers arrrreeee
.......... y es
Setsuna is Azama oh heck yES-- please give me savage asshole Setsuna aishudfhdu
...... Setsuna is now Scarlet-
I don’t care if it’s annoying; I’m taking screenshots of like their whole conversation b/c it’s gold-
(it’s funny b/c Setsuna’s voiceline was ‘oooookay.’ in response to Scarlet-
Scarlet that’s not something you should be smiling about--
oh my farore-
Setsuna’s voice line was ‘no’ and it sounded sarcastic as heck--
Takumi’s surrounded by idiots, it seems
that... actually seems to be true
poor Takumi, man
aaaand we begin the chapter! gonna get that Dragon Vein right away by pairing up w/ Izana because holy heck-
have I said that Mozu gets really good level ups? b/c she does- (she killed the first guy in the map ayy)
no, Setsuna don’t go into the enemy’s range, you don’t have Azama’s personal--
SETSUNA
ok we can talk to Takumi now yadda yadda, Azura and Felicia are missing and all that
Takumi is still savage tho, ngl
right! let’s take a look at our new units!
not bad, he’s got a lot of speed, res and skill oo and he has Lucky Charm, which grants +20% to luck based skills trigger rate and he has a Disrobing Gale which gives more speed, niiice (Growth Rates = HP - 40, Str - 45, Mag - 20, Skill - 40, Spd - 40, Lck - 45, Def - 40, Res - 35) (Heart Seal options: Nohr Prince (lol) and Spear Fighter)
now, for the asshole
what a coincidence she’d randomise into a Shrine Maiden, huh? oooh her personal is Noble Cause! grants +3 damage dealt but +1 damage taken when supported by a damaged unit; nice nice and she has Surefooted which is.... useless b/c it’s only valid if the unit is a Ballistician, which is a dlc class hhhhhhhhhhh, but it would have granted +1 mov and add Acrobatics into it so all passable terrain movement costs 1 but also yo look at those sick base stats, man (Growth rates = HP - 45, Str - 40, Mag - 35, Skill - 55, Spd - 20, Lck - 20, Def - 55, Res - 40) (Heart Seal options = Wyvern Rider and Mercenary)
and now onto Scarlet!
not bad, Takumi has... generally better bases tho but she has Miraculous Save! which is like Miracle but for a unit that is supported by her, it’s trigger is also her luck stat :V and she has Magic +2, which is actually useful here given that she’s a Diviner :’D (Growth rates = HP - 40, Str - 20, Mag - 30, Skill - 60, Spd - 0, Lck - 30, Def - 15, Res - 30) (Heart Seal options = Spear Fighter and Outlaw)
.... I don’t get why things like Disrobing Gale and Raider Weapons have to strip the foe’s armour if there’s a weapon advantage tho-- oh well
WHY do I seem to get crits when I skip the animation, I just missed Azama getting one against an Archer guh--
ok but Rinkah just one shotted this poor, unsuspecting Diviner that already had his defence sealed by her he didn’t stand a chance, tbh-
and a level up for Izana! and he got Miracle! (why yes I do heal at the slightest bit of lost HP when the healer can’t defend themselves, you’d be surprised at how quickly they can level up--)
.... man Yukimura is gonna be insane when he becomes a Sniper he hasn’t gotten any crits yet but just wait, he’s still got a lot of strength--
aaaaall riiiight just Fuga left >:3 let’s get him debuffed with Kagerooo and probably Saizo too right, Vantage is gonna happen now oh nvm, Saizo defeated him :o and he levelled uuuup
and we got a Secret Book :V
ayyy now for a cutscene giving Plot about the Yato and the Seal of Flames and stuff
Well, Corrin, it’s literally the name of the game; the Fire Emblem :’’D it also makes ur sword a very intimidating chainsaw
time to see who Hayato is >:3c
.......... oh my farore
OH MY FARORE I told ya we’d meet again soon, Silas :’’’’’’’’D
Yeah, you’re shouting sounds very aggressive, Silas-
Fuga is confirmed to be the Team Dad, heck yeah
aaaand that’s Chapter 8! :o Let’s have a look at what Silas’ stats are like
oooh ok, so he’s also an Apothecary :o and he has Collector as a personal too hahah;;;; and look at his strength wo a h-- his defence is pretty decent too, which is good :o (Growth rates = HP - 25, Str - 30, Mag - 40, Skill - 60, Spd - 45, Lck - 20, Def - 55, Res - 40) (Heart Seal options = Wyvern Rider and Sky Knight)
........... heck it let’s keep going to the next chapter or, wait I’m gonna get some of these units’ levels up first
ok so I’ve gotten a few levels for the newer units (mainly Silas and Scarlet) so let’s go into Chapter 9! >:D there goes Kagero talking about Ryoma again lol and that Izumite’s laugh is pretty darn suspicious lol
Reina is the Archduke of Izumo-- holy heck--
there she iiiiiiis
her voiceline was ‘I can barely contain myself!’ it was perfect--
y’all’d’ve‘id’ve
Kagero is trying to keep the tone relatively serious-
Yeah, she’d be the first to know because she’d be there fighting both sides
aaaand there they gooo HAH, when Mozu and Corrin went away to get ‘special treatment’ Takumi’s voiceline was ‘what’ like he was offended that he wasn’t offered it or smth aihsifudfhd
oh man, Reina’s voice line was ‘Cry out in pain!’ hooooo boi
.... now that sounds a little more like actual Reina-
plot twist, it’s a gremlin
savage, Corrin
‘actually I was just wanting to see what we were missing out on, but it turned out we saved them hahah’
idk man, you’d be surprised
riiiiiighty hoo, time to start the chapter >:3c and we’ll get to see who Felicia’s retainers are! :D
this cavalier’s mcfreaking dead >:3ccccc
oooh Azama’s weapon proficiency went up! c:
And Iiiii’m gonna let Corrin hang around near the bottom of the map so that we can get to whoever Felicia’s retainers arrreeee
.... welp there’s Felicia’s retainers :’D (ngl I was kinda hoping Sakura would be one of them lmao;;)
........ Oboro randomised into herself ................................................ i’m ok well, she’s uh she certainly very gay now o<o;;; so that’s pretty great Felicia and Oboro would be pretty dang cute tho afjhdhfsakf
still would have been nice if she had randomised into someone else, though :’’’’’D
yup, she’s very gay I love it
HECK I MISSED A CRITICAL FROM YUKIMURA- ..... aaannnnnndddd another one
anyway let’s talk to Hinoka and then look at their stats
now let’s start with Oboro
so she has Misfortunate for a personal skill, so enemies within 2 spaces get -15 Dodge, but she also get -5 dodge o<o;;;; she also has Gentilhomme so basically she’s very gay and she’s... also a Diviner we’ve got a lot of Diviners hhhhhhh but she’s got a lot of Magic :o (Growth Rates = HP - 40, Str - 40, Mag - 30, Skill - 20, Spd - 45, Lck - 30, Def - 40, Res - 35) (Heart Seal options = Mercenary and Archer)
ok let’s look at Hinoka!
.......... she’s also a Diviner! :’’’’D BUT! She has Bibliophile as a personal, which gives Crit +10 when the unit has three or more tomes/scrolls :V she also has Heavy Blade, which gives Str +3 and Spd -1 (Growth Rates = HP - 45, Str - 0, Mag - 15, Skill - 15, Spd - 45, Lck - 55, Def - 35, Res - 25) (Heart Seal options: Sky Knight and Nohr Princess)
right I’ve cleared like, the entire map and am now getting the treasure chests one has a Speedwing and the other has 5000G, nice :Y
i..... really don’t like Zola’s attack, though :’D I need to get Mozu and Kaden over for countercurse and then healing
ok Yukimura learned Quick Draw! nice
ok now Zola’s dead, geez and we got a Master Seal, too :’D
oh yeah, here comes Leo :V ..... uh hm it, uhhh it’s frozen o<o;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
.... welp I guess I need to try that chapter again and then skip that cutscene, then, brb--
yeah nah, skipping the cutscene didn’t work, it still froze :’’’’’’’’’’D this is probably what people meant by breaking the game //sigh ....... you can bet that I will try to get Revelation to work eventually, though so uhh, if anyone knows any way to help me with that that’d be really great
-------------
ok so slight update: I managed to get past Chapter 9 without the game freezing; I played through most of the chapter, and then saved in an extra data file, before i moved to run the game normally to finish the chapter while I did miss out on seeing Reina as Izana and all that in the cutscenes afterwards; I tried running the file through HANS after saving the file after the cutscenes had ended and it seems to have worked :’D so I’ll be able to move on to other chapters, which is nice :’’’’’’’’D
