an excerpt from something I am currently writing because I had this weird storyline in my head and just needed to get it out of my system (if it's finished, I will post the link) - Kaiba & Joey talking about a believable storyline for fake-dating - Kaiba's gaze sharpened with interest. "Continue."

"Well," Joey began, "we'll tell people that despite our history of rivalry and clashes, there was always an underlying tension between us—a spark waiting to ignite. But it wasn't until recently, after years of growth and self-discovery, that we finally acknowledged our feelings for each other."

Kaiba nodded slowly, absorbing Joey's words. "So, our past interactions serve as the foundation for a relationship that's only now beginning to blossom. It's a tale of two former adversaries finding common ground and realizing that there's more to their connection than meets the eye." "Exactly," Joey agreed, a grin spreading across his face. "We'll paint ourselves as a couple who's still in the early stages of getting to know each other, navigating the ups and downs of a newfound romance."

Kaiba's lips curved into a faint smile. "It's a narrative that's both believable and compelling. And it allows us to control the narrative, shaping it to fit our needs and objectives."
