Magnus walked up to the bench, dressed in a glittery blue cut waistcoat with a dark blue shirt underneath, and fitted pants. His kids and husband were supposed to meet him here in the park, but he couldn't see them anywhere.

Deciding that they were just running late, probably due to some last minute issue that needed the Consul's attention, he decided to sit and wait.

He looked around at the mundanes; there were people taking a walk, children playing with sand and enjoying the swings, their parents sitting nearby to keep an eye on them, people walking their dogs, a sweet girl making flower crowns and putting them on another girl's head, a boy sitting by the tree with a book in one hand and the other caressing the hair of the boy who laid in his lap.

Everyone was just living their lives. Their experiences all extremely different, but sharing this common space, geographically speaking. And even though their lives and experiences were just about opposite to Magnus' own, he felt a strange sense of comfort and belongingness.

Because, he thought, there were some things that were just universal, like the love and fear he felt for his kids. He stared at his surroundings for some more time, before he noticed a group of around 5 women and 3 men staring at him and talking among themselves.

He usually wouldn't pay heed to this type of stuff, but it was obvious that they were talking about him, and well, he was bored. So without looking at them, he discreetly cast a spell that would allow him to listen to what they were saying.

"I think... 23," one of the men said.

"No. He definitely looks 20," another man replied.

"Doesn't matter. He's so beautiful!" one of the women interjected.

"But he's so young!" the second man said.

"And he's so pretty! Look at his hair," one of the other women said, in a dreamy voice.

Magnus chuckled. He was quite amused, if he were being honest. These people were obviously pretty enamoured by him, and though he couldn't blame them for thinking that he was 20, the thought definitely amused him. Ah, if only they knew, he thought.

"His fashion sense is so impeccable," the third man said.

Magnus smirked.

"I wish I cou–" the voice was broken by a kid running up to hug his legs and screaming, "Papa!"

Magnus heard gasps from the group, "Papa?!". He laughed and stood up to pick Max up in his arms. "Hey, my sweet cupcake. Where is your Dad and your brother?"

Max lifted his hand and pointed behind Magnus. Magnus turned around to see Alec and Rafe walking towards them, engaged in what seemed to be a serious discussion, with Rafe nodding like he agreed with what his father was saying. Alec was smiling and holding one of Rafe's hand in his own.

They stopped talking when they reached Magnus and Max, and Alec pressed a quick kiss to Magnus in greeting and said, "Hey."

"Hey," Magnus smiled.

"Sorry, there were some reports that needed to be looked over last minute," Alec said, with sincerity.

"It's alright, Alexander," Magnus said and turned to Rafe. "Hey, big guy." He ruffled Rafe's hair and Rafe grinned.

"Should we go now?" Alec said.

Magnus nodded. And then, as they were walking away, he heard some collective sighs from the group of people and cancelled the spell so he couldn't hear them anymore. He turned to Alec with a mischievous smile and said, "So, I have quite a story to tell you..."
