Title: G Mk-II Battle - Mark vs Flat

A war game between the teams of Titans and the A.E.U.G (Anti-Earth Union Group), and all comes down the two opponents stand at the battlefield. This scene (which is my artwork) is like "Tom the cat" 🐱 vs "Jerry the mouse" 🐭 to see who's the greatest of all, and it never gets old, right? Nowadays, the trend still exist with Mark the cat 🐱 (from team Titans) and Flat the mouse 🐭 (from team A.E.U.G.) battling each other, and see who's the best RX-178 G Mk-II user? 🤖😁

Design Sketch of AMX-004 Qubeley

This is another of my favorite designs in Gundam Series. It used to be the reason why I was addicted using Pink for some color schemes.

The AMX-004 Qubeley, with its design by Mamoru Nagano, excels in both conceptual and hard-surface design aspects. In concept, the Qubeley's organic, rounded form is a departure from the traditional mech design, offering a fresh perspective in the Gundam universe. This design choice not only sets it apart visually but also conceptually symbolizes the advanced technology and elite status of its pilot. Compared to the design of Hildolfr which is mentioned before, and as a perfect representative example of pragmatism in hard-surface designs, this of my favorite designs has been to another whole new extreme of a style.

In terms of hard-surface design, the Qubeley's sleek, curved surfaces challenge the norm of rigid, angular mech structures. These smooth surfaces are not just aesthetically pleasing but also imply a level of technological sophistication. The large shoulder binders, a defining feature, cleverly serve dual purposes: as a striking visual element and functional storage for the Qubeley's weaponry. Even though it originates from a war-themed science fiction work, the design of the Qubeley significantly downplays the presence of weaponry, making it hard to notice its armaments from the design alone. Considering that this design is associated with a noble female leader character in the series, such a choice becomes more reasonable and accentuates its characteristics. And butterflies could be the biggest inspiration of the design, which is totally an unaggressive gentle theme to be picked for a war machine.

Moreover, the color scheme of the Qubeley, primarily white and pink, defies the conventional military palette, reinforcing its uniqueness and the high status of its character in the series.

Qubeley stands out for its innovative approach to mech design, seamlessly blending artistic flair with functional hard-surface elements, making it a noteworthy and memorable design in the realm of Mobile Suits.

Title: Gunpla Expo PH - Friends Meet Up

On Feb 25th, 2018, I went myself to SM Mall of Asia for a 2nd year Gunpla Expo PH (at 10am) [CLICK ME!]. 😁🤖🏢 I've been spend time standing, walking and taking photos and take a selfie myself couple of times before I'm tired, take a seat and eating my snacks. Now I'm waiting for my new friend Romulus907 for about 2 to 3 hours 🕐🕒until I give up waiting and I couldn't find him. 🚶‍♂️ In short, we've haven't meet face to face cause there's too many people just walking through at the Expo, so we're failed but all well... 😅

But at least we're both having fun looking at all different Gunpla's exhibit. 🙂

Nevertheless, I decided to draw one of my four OC's finally met Fuse w/ Haro. They seem to be a great time, hanging out, walking through all Gunplas, buying stuff from the Gunpla store (w/ free stuff after purchased) and finally taking a friendly groupie behind the huge Gundam Exia statue w/ Cude. 😊

BTW: I sucked at drawing Gundam Exia, especially the head though. Please excuse my lack of drawing Mobile Suits. I'm still practicing it, even in 2024. 🙂✍

I'd just hope the next year, it's gonna be a true friendly meet up between me and Romulus907. :) But in mean time, we're both happy! 😁

Title: Farsia Petunia - stand pose

In the original Gundam AGE Anime, the Farsia doesn't do anything from every part of the mecha, it only stand straight like a brick.🤔 Although there's a pilot inside named Yurin L'Ciel, but it was controlled by Desil Galette, using his own X-Rounder ability. 🧠🤖

But in "Cuteness Defender Academy", all members suit up and ready to battle with decent moves (, unless if you're wear a bulky armor, sometimes you're unable to move). Like this one, Farsia Petunia 🌸🦨 doing a glamorous pose with her three flower funnels launched from her backpack at space. 😁🤖

Title: Cuteness Member - [Cude's Alter Ego] Decu

This is "Decu" 🐰🤖😈, Cude's alter devilish ego; With his uniform changes to black, gray and red, his shirt was gray and black, his boots turn grey with bend pointy to the end and all of his fur, his cotton hair into spike black , his buck tooth become devil sharpened with additional razor-edge teeth even his paws too, and finally his eyes are now red and black pupil. Thus, Cude's alter ago!

And his custom "Cuteness Mecha Armor" with his main weapon custom scythe and shield, he called it the armored "MADNUG".😈 A spell backward for "GUNDAM".

You know, I've watched "SD Gundam Force" aired on Toonami, back in 2005. It was underwhelming show to celebrate the Gundam franchise, back then to say the least. But, I decided to put that name for his armor sake. 😉

BTW:

No. 1: His alter ego was only appeared in Halloween 🎃, every year. So, you won't see Decu and his devil pet Haro, daily. (For now...)

And No.2: In French 🇫🇷 - the word "déçu" means Frustrate, Disappointed and Crestfallen. And also this is the only word that I could fit in for Cude's alter ego... Also the "RD" stands for "Rabbit Devil" and the "06" just little touch of the devil "666".

Here yet another Sniffles 🔵👓 in action. Choosing wisely weapon(s) will suit your taste, and by that I mean suit perfectly. Sniffles is rang out his first ammo cartridge (look on his left hand) from his Bullpup machine gun. But, good thing he got two spares of ammo cartridges, in which located on his rear shield positioning in a stand (very unique way). Rest assured, that he'll get back on his feet to beat down opponents. 🔫😉

Spore (2008)

Spore (2008) as an old video game, delivered a huge shock and joy to my younger self, then just a grade-schooler, mainly due to its unimaginable freedom. In today's video game market, the degree of freedom is often a selling point for many games. Regardless of genre, as long as the production capacity supports it, developers and manufacturers place a high priority on ensuring the freedom within their games.

Spore was released by Electronic Arts, it is a groundbreaking game that successfully blends multiple gameplay mechanics. It stands as a significant lesson in game design. At its core, the game allows players to guide the evolution of a species from a single-cell organism to a galactic civilization. This ambitious journey is segmented into different stages, each resembling a different genre of game, ranging from life simulation to real-time strategy and space exploration.

The success of Spore is all thanks to its ability to seamlessly provide players with various gameplay styles while maintaining a consistent thread of progression. Players loved designing creatures, buildings, and vehicles, which gave them a personal stake in the game world they were building.

One could say that Spore made some of the most innovative breakthroughs in gaming. First, it was the balanced integration of various types of gameplay (the depth of which wasn't overwhelming, ensuring a freshness with each new style for the player). Secondly, it boldly pioneered customizable content. Players could use simple shapes to piece together various things for different game stages. Design schemes were not only shareable online with other players, but even unused designs could be randomly selected by the system to appear in-game, truly showcasing the developers' dedication.

Spore is a benchmark for game designers who want to integrate diverse game types into a cohesive whole. The significance of adaptable design frameworks that can cater to various playstyles while still maintaining a cohesive game vision is demonstrated. Spore is an excellent illustration of how games can break barriers and provide players with distinctive experiences that inspire their imagination and creativity.

(However, when I revisited the game in the past couple of years, I found that the dated game engine resulted in a playing experience that wasn't quite up to par.)
