why did geoffrey consume arthur’s blood knowing it was vampire blood? how did no one in the guard have that figured out? or was there some kind of elaborate cover up scheme in place among the leaders of priwen knowing their successors would all turn eventually by consuming it?

simple. no one knew it was vampire blood because no one before geoffrey had been stupid enough to DRINK it.

#I’ve seen some fics and meta analysis posts suggesting Carl and the previous leaders #all knew it was vampire blood and consuming it and turning was somehow a part of the leadership ritual #that geoffrey either didn’t know about and unwittingly submitted to #OR he knew and did it anyway #I simply think it’s funnier to consider the blood just sat around for weapon blessing or whatever #and he was just the first jackass to be like cheers bro I’ll drink to that lol
