my dad: so what’s Dr. Strange’s deal?
me: well, in this [616] universe, he was the sorcerer supreme, but he isn’t anymore because of The Blip.
my dad: well, what’s the difference between a sorcerer and a wizard?
me: a sorcerer is a wizard without a hat.
my dad: says who?
me: Sam Wilson.
my dad: who’s that?
me: Anthony Mackie.
my dad: oh, okay, then.
#he didn’t even know who Anthony Mackie is until like maybe 2 weeks ago (at most)#now he’s his biggest fan. he doesn’t know any of Mr. Mackie’s work. he just really likes the dude.#I should probably ask my dad about Tom Holland#I was simply watching Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness (as one does)#and my dad walked in and started this conversation#(I paused the movie)#he asked the difference and I love referencing TFATWS#(obviously)#he still doesn’t know who the falcon is#he might know about the new cap situation but I don’t think he knows about the falcon himself#I told him that we could watch the other movies with Dr. Strange and then TFATWS too but apparently that’s too confusing#which. fair#there’s a lot of media to keep in the ol’ brain

summary: you didn’t expect to spend your summer pretending to be your best friend’s girlfriend- then again, you didn’t expect to fall for your best friend’s brother, either.

a/n: revamped my tom holland series from my main blog ( @wazzupmrstark ) to try and motivate myself to finish it!!
“You put sunscreen on, right?”
“Yes, dad.”
Jisung rolled his eyes. “I’m just trying to make sure you don’t burn.”
“Worry about yourself, lobster.”
“You need to come up with a new sunburn joke. That one is getting old.”
“I’ll go back to the drawing board, spitball a little bit,” you muttered.
Your best friend laughed. “Let me know when you land on something.”
“Aye, aye, captain.”
“Can you get my back, though?” Jisung asked.
“Sure, babe.”
You took the tube of sunblock from his hands and squeezed some into your palm. He yanked off his shirt and shoved it in his bag, turning away from you so that you could apply the sunscreen. He bent his knees a little to make it easier for you, even though he wasn’t that much taller than you.
You rubbed it in dutifully, making sure that it was all absorbed so that it wouldn’t stain his clothes when or if he put his shirt back on. When you were done, you handed the tube back to him.
“Will you do me?”
“Any day of the week,” Jisung replied, winking. “You know you don’t even have to ask, babe.”
“You two are disgusting.” You didn’t have to turn around to know who was complaining.
“We’re actually having a private conversation, Felix.”
“Well, you’re having it in the middle of a public area.”
Jisung rolled his eyes but didn’t say anything else, thankfully. It was too early in the morning to deal with their bickering.
You had woken up at dawn to make the drive over to Turtle Beach. According to the internet, the best time of day to see the sea turtles was in the morning, so that’s when you were going. No one was in a particularly good mood in the car on the way to the North Shore. It was silent. Dom tried turning the radio on at one point but Nikki immediately turned it off.
“We’ll be getting coffee after this,” Dom assured everyone, which seemed to lift the spirits at least a little bit.
It was already crowded when Dom found a parking spot on the side of the road. He was able to snag it as another car was pulling out.
People were clustered in groups around the rocks that lined the shore, holding their phones out to take pictures of what you assumed to be the turtles.
Minho had found a parking spot a little further away so he and Felix joined the rest of you a few minutes later.
That’s when the sunscreen was applied and promises of caffeine were made. You waited for your sunscreen to dry before putting your coverup back on and walking down to the beach with the Hans. You weren’t swimming at this beach, not many people did because they didn’t want to disrupt the turtles, but Nikki had made everyone put on sunblock anyway because you’d still be standing in direct sunlight.
The dropoff from the road to the sand was a bit steep and you stumbled trying to step down from the asphalt and tie the back of your coverup at the same time.
“Baby, let me,” Jisung said, pushing past his brothers to get to you. He chuckled. “That could’ve been bad. You should have just asked me to help you, or waited until we got down there.”
“I would’ve been fine,” you said, brushing it off. “Probably.”
“Knowing you, you probably would’ve hit your head on a rock or something.”
You ignored that comment because he was right and you didn’t want to give him the satisfaction.
The beach was kind of short even at low tide. Some mangrove trees offered a little bit of shade but that was already being monopolized by other tourists.
“I guess everyone read the same article we read,” Felix muttered.
“Seems like it,” Dom agreed.
“Should we go over there?” Minho asked, pointing to a moderately small crowd at the edge of the bay.
“I don’t see why not,” his dad said. “We can also split up if we want to. We don’t have to stay together.”
You looked at Jisung who just shrugged. “We can do whatever you want.”
“I don’t care,” you argued. “They’re your family.”
Good point. Let’s go the other direction.”
You rolled your eyes and followed Jisung left while the other four went right. He wove in between the crowds, looking for turtles that the masses might not have spotted yet. You did the same, even though you were doubtful the two of you would find anything that the other tourists hadn’t.
You were shocked at how clear the water was. After the other beaches you’d already seen on this trip, you didn’t think it was possible for clearer water to exist. The visibility was insane. You could see every tiny detail, every bump and groove of the rocks, every grain of sand. The only thing diluting the view of everything was the white foam that washed ashore with the waves when they broke.
You took your phone out of your back pocket to snap a few pictures of the water and Jisung gave you a funny look.
“There aren’t any turtles here,” he said.
“I want a picture of the view,” you explained.
“Oh, that makes sense. Yeah, it’s beautiful.”
He watched you snap a few pictures and then offered to take some of you but you declined out of embarrassment.
“A bunch of people are doing it! Why would you be embarrassed?”
“I’m not good at posing for pictures! I always feel so awkward, especially when it’s just me.”
“Do you want us to take a picture together, then?”
“Yeah, I’d like that.”
Jisung pulled his own phone from his pocket and ushered you over to his side. You get close to him and rest your head on his shoulder, smiling softly. He waits for a good wave to appear in the background and then takes a couple selfies.
He taps on the gallery icon in the bottom left corner of the screen to check the pictures and shows you.
“Oh, these are cute. Can you airdrop them to me later?”
“‘Course.”
Then, Jisung squinted a little harder at his screen, zooming in on something.
“What is that?” he asked you, shoving the phone into your face.
“I don’t know, it’s so pixely- and your hands are shaking.”
Jisung took the phone back. “Is that...”
He didn’t even finish the question before he was whipping around and marching toward the water without explaining, leaving you to stay standing where you were like an idiot or follow him aimlessly. You chose the latter.
“We found one!” he exclaims when you catch up with him, pointing at a dark mass in the water that had also been in the back of your pictures. You replicated his position to be able to see whatever it was more clearly and gasped when you realized it was a sea turtle.
It was a little further out than the ones that everyone was already ogling over which was probably why no one else had spotted it yet. Their dark shells also tended to blend in with the rocks, adding another layer of difficulty to the search.
“Should we call your family over?” you asked.
“Only if you’re cool with a bunch of other people swarming us.”
“You’re right, that might not be great. Especially if people start recognizing Minho.”
Jizung nodded. “Then we’d never get out of here. I’ll go run and get them. You stay here with the turtle.”
He didn’t give you a chance to respond before he was off. Seemed to be a pattern today.
“She still here?” Jisung asked when he came back, the rest of his family members in tow.
You were confused before you understood that he was referring to the turtle. Apparently, he had decided its pronouns in the time he was gone.
“Yeah, she’s a little closer too,” you answered.
You pointed at the shadow in the water and all of the Hans craned their necks to see it.
“Holy shit, it's huge,” Felix commented.
“It must be really old,” Jisung added. “That’s a thing, right? The bigger a sea turtle is, the older it is?”
His brothers shrugged. “No idea.”
“Crush from Finding Nemo was like one hundred and five and he wasn’t that big,” Minho pointed out.
“You’re going off of Finding Nemo for your marine biology information?” Jisung deadpanned.
“You’re just making stuff up off the top of your head!”
“No, I heard it somewhere!”
“Does anyone have service? We could Google it,” Felix suggested.
“No, there’s none over here,” you muttered.
“Look, here she comes!” Nikki exclaimed.
You weren’t sure whether the turtle was actually coming closer or if she just wanted her sons to stop bickering, but they did and turned their attention toward the ocean.
Eventually, the sea turtle did come a little closer, close enough to be able to take pictures where people would be able to tell what they were looking at.
The six of you all standing at the edge of the water looking at the same thing was bound to draw attention eventually so you took pictures and videos until you were satisfied and then headed back to the cars.
“Minho, follow the directions I sent you to Waimea Falls,” Dom instructed. “We’re going to stop for coffee on the way over there so you should tail me but you should also have the address in case you lose us.”
Minho nodded. “Same cars?”
“We can switch it up, if you want. I’m sure Felix would love to be alone with his folks for forty-five minutes straight.”
“Wait, you said the drive was only twenty minutes,” Felix piped up.
“It is, but your mother and I could make it forty-five just for you.”
“We can all fit in my car,” Minho added, ignoring his dad.
“Wow, so I’m not good enough for you?” Felix scoffed.
“Yes, that’s exactly what I meant by that.”
“I’m good to ride with mum and dad but y/n, you should go with Felix and Minho to save them from each other.”
“You don’t want to come?” you asked, already knowing the answer.
“Nah. I mean, Minho’s right, we would all fit but it wouldn’t be that comfortable, especially for a long ride. Besides, it would be rude to leave Mom and Dad by themselves.”
“What are you talking about?” Felix muttered. “They love to be by themselves. Why do you think they keep ditching us at every possible opportunity?”
“It’ll be nice to have some time with Jisung,” Nikki counters, taking Jisung by his shoulders. “He’s been gone at uni for so long, we haven’t gotten to see him since Christmas.”
“You’ve been seeing me for over a month straight,” Jisung mumbled, sounding a lot like Felix just had.
“You know what I mean,” his mom said, exasperated.
You hadn’t really thought of that. You had been so focused on being the loving, devoted girlfriend that you always made sure to be around so that everyone could bear witness to your relationship. You hadn’t considered the fact that Jisung’s parents might have wanted to spend time with their son one-on-one, or two-on-one. You had unintentionally been hogging their son this whole time.
“Oh, that’s a great idea,” you agreed, just to let them know that you weren’t upset. “I’m sorry, I’ve been keeping him all to myself.”
“Nonsense, love,” Nikki assured you, “I didn’t mean it like that at all.”
“I know, I know, I just still feel bad.”
“Don’t feel bad. You’re his partner, you’re part of this family now too.”
You smiled appreciatively but couldn’t bring yourself to respond. Would you still be considered part of the family if you suddenly became Minho’s girlfriend? Broke one son’s heart and moved on to the next- it wouldn’t be a good look, that’s for sure.
“It’s settled then,” Jisung said, clapping his hands together in finality. “We’ll see you guys there.”
Minho’s rental car was still parked on the side of the road, but it was down the hill a bit. It was pretty steep, and the pavement was uneven. You could feel two pairs of eyes watching you as you made your way along the path. You wanted to tell Minho and Felix that they didn’t have to be so vigilant, that you weren’t that clumsy. But to be fair, you had almost just ate shit like twenty minutes ago walking in the sand. Okay, maybe they were right for that.
You made it to the car without incident and climbed into the back seat. Minho plugged the address into his phone’s GPS, which synced to the car’s ApplePlay, and reversed out of the spot. He drove up a ways and then stopped behind Dom’s car so that he could reverse without dealing with the traffic. It was a smart move on Minho’s part. He was ensuring he wouldn’t get cut off by someone else, that way he could follow his dad without having to guess which lane he was in or which car he was in front of, etc.
As the passenger, Felix was in charge of the music (as long as Minho approved of it, since the driver did have veto power). He turned it to a local island reggae station and all three of you seemed to enjoy that.
While Minho drove, Felix showed you pictures he’d taken on his camera at Turtle Beach.
“I’ve been taking them the whole trip, but I only have so much storage on an SD card, you know? I’ve uploaded the rest to my computer. We can look at them later, if you want.”
“I’d love to! Have you looked at them yet?”
“I’ve just skimmed them,” he answered. “But if they turn out anything like these I think I’ll have a pretty solid portfolio after this trip.”
“Yeah, these are incredible! You’ll have to show Minho when we stop.” Felix made a noncommittal noise. “What? They’re great!”
“I’m glad you think so. Unfortunately, when it comes to my photography and videography, the wow factor has mostly worn off for my brothers. Even Minho, who’s supposed to be an performer, can’t pretend to be impressed anymore.”
“Harsh.”
“You’re telling me.”
“I guess they picked Dunkin,” Minho said, entirely ignoring the conversation you and Felix were having about him as he turned into the shopping center’s parking lot.
“Fine with me,” you said.
“It was probably the quickest choice,” Felix mused. “I would like to try some local coffee shops, though. Hawai’i is known for their coffee.”
“Maybe tomorrow we can look for one,” you offered.
He grinned. “I’m down.”
-
The drive-thru line wasn’t that long, thankfully. Minho ordered for the three of you all on the same ticket to speed things along too. He pretended not to hear you when you offered to pay for yourself.
Dom waited for your car in a parking spot by the exit to the main road. Minho did what he’d done before and waited for his dad to pull out before following him.
“Make sure to drink all of that before we get to the park,” Minho said as he passed out the cups. “I don’t think we’re allowed to bring outside food or drink inside. Yo, I didn’t mean you had to chug it right now,” he clarified.
You pulled your iced coffee away from your lips guiltily. “Sorry.”
“The drive is like twenty minutes, remember? You have time to finish it.”
“I remember.”
“So then why-”
“I don’t know, it felt like the right thing to do.”
“You’ve been in uni for too long,” he decided, shaking his head.
“Maybe she just needs the caffeine to hit faster,” Felix suggested defensively.
“Exactly, thank you, Lix.”
He gave you a smile of acknowledgment in the rearview mirror and a thumbs up. You sipped your coffee slowly as Minho drove through the winding mountains of Oahu, resting your forehead against the window. You knew there’d be sunscreen residue to clean off of it later but the cool glass felt nice against your skin.
You tuned Minho and Felix out until you heard your name. That’s when you sat up again and rejoined the conversation.
“Hm?”
“Min just asked what I think Jisung is talking about with our parents right now and I said they’re probably giving him a lecture about not losing you,” Felix explained.
You made a face. “What?”
“You know, like telling him he better treat you well or whatever parents say to their kids when they want a son or daughter-in-law.”
Your eyes shifted to Minho before you could stop them. His grip on the steering wheel tightened just enough to make his knuckles turn white but he kept his expression calm.
“Oh, I don’t know about that,” you mumbled.
“I bet they’ll at least bring it up,” Felix countered. “They love you!”
You forced a smile and sunk down in your seat. Not for long.
lmk what you think i always appreciate feedback!!

Dom waited for your car in a parking spot by the exit to the main road. Tom did what he’d done before and waited for his dad to pull out before following him.
“Make sure to drink all of that before we get to the park,” Tom said as he passed out the cups.
“Maybe she just needs the caffeine to hit faster,” Harry suggested defensively.
“Exactly, thank you, Harry.”
He gave you a smile of acknowledgment in the rearview mirror and a thumbs up. You sipped your coffee slowly as Tom drove through the winding mountains of Oahu, resting your forehead against the window. You knew there’d be sunscreen residue to clean off of it later but the cool glass felt nice against your skin.
You tuned Tom and Harry out until you heard your name. That’s when you sat up again and
“Hm?”
“Tom just asked what I think Sam is talking about with our parents right now and I said they’re probably giving him a lecture about not losing you,” Harry explained.
You made a face. “What?”
“You know, like telling him he better treat you well or whatever parents say to their kids when they want a son or daughter-in-law.”
Your eyes shifted to Tom before you could stop them. His grip on the steering wheel tightens just enough to make his knuckles turn white but he keeps his expression calm.
“Oh, I don’t know about that,” you mumbled.
“I bet they’ll at least bring it up,” Harry countered. “They love you!”
Not for long.

When Will You Realize…
Pairing: single dad!Tom Holland x teacher!Reader
Synopsis: Tom falls for his daughters teacher
Masterlist
“Can’t I just stay with you today?”
“No, honey bee. We can’t do that anymore. I loved spending everyday with you this summer but now it’s time for you to go to school.” Tom told his daughter as they looked at her school building together.
“But I don’t wanna go.” She pouted and rested his head on Tom’s shoulder.
“I know. I don’t want you to go either. But you have to, Vienna. You’re 4 now. You’re old enough to go to school.” Tom told her as he held her little face between his hands.
“You’ll come back?” She asked with teary eyes.
“I’ll always come back.” He told her as he tugged on one of her brown curls. Tom wiped her tears with his thumb before pulling her face closer to kiss her cheek.
“Bye bye. I love you.”
“Bye daddy.” Vienna sniffled and slowly walked into the building.
A few hours later, Tom stood outside his car and waited for Vienna to come out of the parent pick up door. He soon saw her coming out of the building, holding your hand.
“Daddy!” Vienna broke into a smile when she saw Tom and ran into his arms. Tom scooped her up and kissed her face as you walked towards them. Tom did a double take when he saw you and felt his whole face heat up.
“Who’s that?” He asked his daughter.
“That’s Ms. Y/n. She’s my teacher.” Vienna said and waved to you.
“That’s your teacher?” Tom’s heart raced as you approached them. He expected his daughters teacher to be some old lady in a hand knit cardigan so the sight of you knocked the wind out of his chest.
“Hi. You must be daddy.” You smiled and held out your hand.
“I am. Most people call me Tom, though.” Tom joked as he shook your hand. He felt his face flush as he looked into your eyes and you gave him a shy smile.
“Hi Tom. I’m Ms. Y/n. And I have to say, I’m a big fan of your work.”
“My work?” Tom wondered.
“Vienna.” You told him. “I know I just met her but love her.”
“Oh.” Tom smiled when he got the joke. “So do I. Sometimes.”
“Daddy!” Vienna laughed and tugged at Tom’s sleeve.
“Shh. You weren’t supposed to hear that.” He teased her as he tickled her stomach. You watched with a fond smile as Vienna giggled and squirmed away from Tom. Tom noticed you staring and felt himself blush again.
“So is Y/n your first name or your last name?” He asked you.
“First. We go by first names around here. It’s easier for the kids to pronounce.”
“That makes sense. So if I wanted to call you by your last name…” He trailed off and looked at you for an answer. He was discretely trying to find out if you had a husband before he let his crush get too extreme.
“You’d call me Ms. L/n.” You replied, already picking up on what he was trying to do.
“I see. Did you always come with this last name? Or perhaps was this last name given to you from a spouse via a martial arrangement?” He asked, making you laugh.
“I’m not married, if that’s what you’re asking.” You smiled coyly.
“Psh. I wasn’t asking that.” Tom lied as his face flushed.
“Why are you so red, daddy?” Vienna asked, making Tom shoot her a look as you laughed.
“Oh, okay. Sure.” You said sarcastically. You and Tom exchanged another look and your shot him a wink.
“We should probably get going. But we’ll see you tomorrow.” Tom said as began to lead Vienna away. He only walked a few paces before turning around and walking back to you.
“What about a boyfriend?” He asked, making you laugh.
“I’ll see you at drop off, Mr. Holland.” You avoided his question with a coy smile.
“Tom.” He corrected you with a matching smile.
“Tom.” You repeated, making his face flush over the way you said his name. You waved goodbye to the both of them before walking away. Tom watched you as you went and talked to another kids parents and noticed you didn’t give the dad the same attention you gave Tom.
“Are we gonna go home, daddy?” Vienna asked and tugged at Tom’s sleeve again. Tom snapped out of his love struck daze and nodded.
“Yeah, honey bee. Let’s go home.”
The next day, Tom waiting at parent pick up and felt equally excited to see you as he felt to see his daughter. He broke into a smile when he saw you and Vienna coming out of the building.
“Daddy I don’t wanna go home. I wanna stay here.” Vienna said as Tom scooped her up.
“You’ll come back tomorrow, honey bee. But we gotta go home now.” Tom told her with a sympathetic smile.
“I don’t wanna go home. I wanna stay.” Vienna whined just as you walked up to them.
“What kind of magic did you work that these kids don’t want to leave?” Tom whispered to you over Viennas shoulder.
“I don’t know. I guess they just had a good day at school.” You smiled innocently at Tom before looking at Vienna.
“Don’t tell your daddy about the spell I cast on you to make you love school.” You whispered loudly to Vienna as you poked her stomach, making her giggle.
“Can Ms. Y/n come eat dinner with us? Please, daddy?” Vienna asked Tom.
“Not tonight, honey bee. Maybe some other time.” Tom said with a shy smile. You winked at him again before returning your attention to Vienna.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, okay Vienna? We can play together then.” You promised her.
“Okay.” Vienna reluctantly sighed.
“Can I have a hug?” You asked her when you noticed her sad expression. She immediately lit up and reached out to you. You stepped forward and hugged her while she was still in Tom’s arms, making your faces nearly brush each others. Tom blushed but you didn’t seem to notice.
“I’ll miss you.” You told her as you moved her hair out of her face.
“I’ll miss you too.” Vienna said and wiggled out of Tom’s arms until her put her down on the ground.
“Daddy, give her a hug goodbye.” Vienna said and pointed to you.
“Oh, she doesn’t want a hug.” Tom laughed awkwardly.
“Sure I do. Bring it in.” You said and opened your arms. Tom turned red as you wrapped your arms around him and gave him a hug. He hugged you back, letting it linger for a minute as he rubbed his hand up and down the material of your sweater. When you pulled away, you both had on shy smiles as you avoided eye contact.
“I’ll see you tomorrow?” You asked him.
“See you tomorrow.” He nodded and started to walk away.
“Uh, Tom?” You called after him.
“Yes?” He immediately wiped around, hopeful of what you could say.
“Are you forgetting something?” You laughed and discreetly pointed to Vienna.
“Oh. Yeah. My child.” He remembered and went to take Viennas hand. You laughed as you waved goodbye to the both of them and watched them until they pulled away in their car.
The next day, Tom showed up to parent pick up 20 minutes early. He noticed that he didn’t get as much time to speak to you when he came late as you were consumed with the other parents, so he got there early to ensure he got his time with you. Once you spotted Tom in his car, you came out of the building holding Viennas hand.
“Hey Ms. Y/n.” Tom smiled in excitement when you came over to him.
“Hey Tom. Can I talk to you for a second?” You asked and nodded towards the side. You left Vienna with one of her friends and pulled Tom to the side to talk.
“What’s up?” He asked you, feeling a mixture of nervous and hopeful to be talking to you privately.
“Who usually does Vienna’s hair in the morning? You or your wife?” You asked him, catching him off guard.
“I do it. Why? Is something wrong?”
“It’s nothing bad. It’s just….” You trailed off and looked at Vienna messy head of honey brown curls.
“I’ll cut right to it. Vienna’s hair is a mess. A straight up mess. She came in today with a marker stuck in it. Then she proceeded to get three more markers stuck in it because it’s so messy.” You told him.
“Ah, geez. I’m sorry. Her mom died when she was still a baby so I never learned how to do her hair. I was kinda hoping she’d be baby bald forever.” Tom admitted, making you chuckle a little.
“Well she’s not. Shes got a lot of hair.” You laughed and looked over at Vienna again, who was pulling a crayon out of her hair to give to a classmate.
“I know. It’s all over out house. I found it in my butt crack the other day.” Tom said, immediately regretting sharing so much. You looked at him in surprise and he turned bright red.
“I wish I didn’t say that.” He said after a beat of silence.
“I wish you didn’t either.” You laughed, making him feel better. He gave you an embarrassed smile and you changed the subject for his sake.
“I’m sorry to hear about her mom. I didn’t know she didn’t have one.” You said in a soft tone.
“Thanks. She was too young to remember her anyway.” Tom brushed it off.
“But I’m sure you do.” You said with a sympathetic smile. Tom was stunned to silence for a minute as he realized he hadn’t thought about it that way. Most people expressed their sympathy for Vienna no longer having a mother, but Tom really revived sympathy for no longer having a wife.
“Yeah. I do.” He said quietly.
“It must be hard doing this alone.” You said and put your hand on his shoulder. Tom felt his heart pound in his chest at the contact and nodded his head.
“Can’t be much harder than teaching 17 4 year olds how to read and tie their shoes every day.” He chuckled softly.
“That’s true. That’s not much easier.” You admitted. “But for what it’s worth, I think you’re doing a great job. Vienna is a kind, smart, intelligent, and wonderful girl. That’s a reflection on her daddy.”
“Thank you. I appreciate that.” Tom said sincerely.
“You’re welcome, Tom.” You smiled and gave his shoulder a squeeze. Tom blushed again and put his hand on top of yours.
“Is that all you needed to tell me? That my daughters hair is wack?” Tom said with a teasing smile.
“No, that’s not all. I actually wanted to offer my services.”
“Your services?”
“Yeah. I don’t have any kids of my own but I’ve been a teacher for a few years now. Plus, I was a little girl myself once. I could teach you how to manage her hair, if you’d like.” You said with a shy smile.
“Really? You’d do that?” Tom asked hopefully.
“Of course. If that’s something you’d be interested in, I could come over after school one day and give you some lessons.”
“Yeah. I’d love that!” Tom blurted. “I mean, we’d love that. Vienna would love that. And so would I.”
“Does Friday work?” You chuckled at his excitement.
“Friday is perfect.”
“Cool beans. See you then.” You winked at him before walking away, leaving him with butterflies in his chest.
On Friday, you waited with Vienna by the front of the school until the last kid was picked up. Tom pulled up outside and got out of the car with a huge smile.
“Daddy!” Vienna ran to Tom and jumped into his arms. Tom scooped her up and kissed her cheek a few times before buckling her into her car seat. He then opened the passenger door for you with a shy smile.
“After you.” He said and gestured to the seat.
“Why thank you.” You curtsied for him before getting in the car.
“Ms Y/n is coming home with us?” Vienna asked once you were all in the car.
“Yeah. I wanted to surprise you.” Tom smiled at her through the rear view mirror.
“Yay!” Vienna cheered and reached her hand out. You reached your hand back and held her hand for the entirety of the car ride. Tom smiled to himself when he saw how close you two were before smiling at you. You smiled back at him and gave him one of your infamous winks. Tom pulled into the driveway within a few minutes and got out of the car to open your door for you. You got Vienna out of her car seat and carried her inside while Tom unlocked the door. You put Vienna down and he ran to go play, leaving you and Tom alone.
“Sorry it’s a little messy.” Tom apologized as you all stepped into the house. You looked around at all the evidence that a little girl lived there and smiled to yourself.
“No apology necessary. You should see my classroom. There’s half a peanut butter sandwich stuck to the ceiling and a pencil sticking out of the wall.” You told him.
“Yeah, I know a little about that. There’s a drawing of Olaf holding hands with Simba on my bedroom wall.” Tom chuckled.
“I would love to see that someday.” You said with a coy smile, making Tom turn bright red. He was too flustered to say anything so you quickly changed the subject.
“Why don’t we get started? What shampoo and conditioner do you use?”
“This.” Tom said and picked up a bottle of the counter.
“Oh.” You said after reading the bottle of Axe he had handed you.
“Is it bad? It’s the one I use too.”
“4 in one?” You looked up at him with a teasing smile.
“Yeah. It’s shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and face wash. And it smells like “dark temptation”, which is really nice.” He replied. You burst out laughing before taking a bottle out of your bag.
“What if we try this? It’s an all natural shampoo. And it smells like rainbow blast. Whatever that means.” You handed it to him before going back into your bag.
“And this. This condition is really good for getting out knots and tangles. And it’s specifically made for curly hair.“ You told him and handed him another bottle.
“Wow. This is perfect. We can give that a try.” Tom smiled as he looked at the bottles of shampoo and conditioner that he always walked past in the store because he was too overwhelmed to pick one. You smiled back at him before taking another bottle out of your bag.
“This is body wash. I know Vienna likes unicorns so I found one with them on it.”
“Thank you. Yeah, she really likes unicorns.” Tom smiled fondly at how well you knew his daughter.
“You’re welcome. Oh, and this.” You said and handed him a fluffy yellow loofah.
“What the hell is this?” Tom asked as he stared at the loofah in disbelief.
“A loofah.”
“A what?”
“You put the body wash on it and then scrub yourself. You’ve never seen one?”
“I thought those only existed in movies.” Tom whispered, too afraid to say it out loud.
“They’re real.” You laughed. “Yellow is her favorite color right?”
“Yes. Like every other little girl.” Tom chuckled.
“She’s not like every other little girl. I love that about her. She’s already her own person and she’s only 4.”
“Yeah. She’s a great kid.” Tom smiled fondly at the thought of her.
“She gets it from her daddy.” You said and took a step closer to him.
“I think it has more to do with the great influence she has at school.” Tom shrugged and took a step towards you.
“Maybe it’s the combination of the two.”
“Maybe. We make a pretty great team.” Tom smiled and pointed between the two of you.
“We do.” You agreed and leaned towards him ever so slowly. Tom leaned in as well but right before your lips could touch, he lost his nerve and pulled away. You looked to the ground in disappointment but quickly filled the silence.
“So, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you actually.” You said to him.
“Oh yeah? What’s up?”
“How did Vienna get her name? Was it the city or the song?”
“The song. But specifically the use of the song in the 13 Going on 30 movie. That scene always made me cry. And when I saw her for the first time, I couldn’t imagine naming her anything else.” Tom told you, retelling that’s your for the first time in a long time. You stared at him for a minute with a fond smile, almost not believing what he just said.
“What?” Tom wondered when he saw the way you were staring at him.
“Nothing. I just love that movie.”
“You do?”
“Are you kidding? It’s one of my favorite movies of all time. It’s so romantic.” You sighed happily.
“It’s very romantic. But if I went into a closet on my birthday and then missed the next 17 years of my life, I’d be pretty freaked out.”
“Yeah. They never really address that. She’s just exited to have a bigger closet.” You chuckled.
“Honestly, that is pretty exciting. I might give up the next 17 years of my life for a bigger closet.” Tom said and stepped towards you again.
“But think of all the things you’d miss.”
“Yeah? Like what?” He asked with a coy smile.
“You tell me.” You returned the smile and leaned in closer to his face.
“What are you guys doing?” Vienna asked, making you both jump apart.
“Nothing. Let’s do your hair, yeah?” You said quickly. You picked Vienna up and put her in a chair in front of a big mirror. Tom watched with awe as you sprayed her hair with water and began to smooth it back.
“Okay. Let’s start with the basics.” You began. “This is a pony tail. All the hair goes to the back. You can have fun with this. It can be a high pony or a low pony. And it’s great to accessorize with a bow or scrunchie. Here. You try.”
Tom gulped nervously as tried to copy what he just watched you do. It took him a minute, but he eventually formed a pony tail in Vienna’s hair.
“That was good!” You clapped for Tom. He blushed and stepped to the side so you could show him more.
“These are pigtails. Pigtails are two pony tails on either side of the head.” You explained and showed him the hairstyle you just did.
“That’s a lot of tails.” Tom mumbled under his breath.
“You try.” You laughed and stepped to the side. Tom did his best to copy what you had done and ended up with two sloppy pigtails on either side of Vienna’s head.
“Amazing. You’re a natural.” You complimented him. “But now this is the real test. Can you braid?”
“Braid?” Tom gulped.
“Yeah. Like this.” You said and braided Viennas’s hair with ease.
“Darling, I believe those are called plaits.” Tom clicked his tongue at you, sending shivers down your spine.
“Mmm, sure. Plaits.” You laughed. “Let me show you how to plait.”
“I believe you’re mocking me.” He smiled teasing as he took his daughters hair in his hands.
“Me? Never.” You said sarcastically. “Now, you can have a lot of fun with braids- er - I mean plaits. You can do a pony tail and then a plait, two plaits, French plaits, Dutch plaits. Or my favorite….” You trailed off as you made a Dutch braid that went all the way across Vienna’s head and ended on her shoulder.
“This is how I wore my hair every day as a little girl.” You said as you proudly showed Tom your work.
“Do you like it daddy?” Vienna asked as she admired herself in the mirror.
“I love it. You look beautiful.” Tom smiled at her in the mirror before kissing the top of her head. You carefully undid the braid in Vienna’s hair so that Tom could give it a go.
“Here. You try.”
“Like this?” Tom asked after loosely recreating the braid you had made.
“Almost. May I?” You asked and went to place your hands over his.
“Go ahead.” He nodded as his throat went dry. You smiled and put your hands over his to help him with the braid.
“Perfect. You made a perfect plait.” You smiled proudly at him once the braid was done.
“No. This right here is a braid.” Tom said, making your smile grow. You stared at each other for a minute before you both started to lean in.
“Bun.” You blurted before your lips could touch.
“What?” Tom asked and pulled away.
“Do you know how to do a bun?” You quickly changed the subject to relieve the tension.
“Oh, uh, no.” Tom shook his head and hoped his disappointment wasn’t as obvious as it felt. You showed him how to do a bun without making eye contact with him and eventually get yourself relax.
“I have one last thing to show you.” You told him.
“Oh no. I can’t handle anymore.” He chuckled.
“That’s why this is perfect. One that days when you just can’t be bothered to do a hairstyle, the headband is your best friend.” You said as you handed Tom a yellow headband you had brought.
“This is a boomerang.” Tom said and pointed to it.
“No, actually, it’s not. It’s exactly what I just told you it was.” You laughed and put the headband in Vienna’s hair.
“Boom. Headband.”
“It’s that easy?” Tom’s eyes widened.
“It’s that easy.” You nodded.
“Wow. Her hair hasn’t looked this good since it first came out of her head.” Tom said in disbelief.
“I honestly believe you.”
“Thanks so much. How can I repay you?” Tom asked you while Vienna admired herself in the mirror.
“Please. The pleasure was all mine.” You said and squeezed his shoulder again.
“Can Ms. Y/n stay for dinner? Please daddy?” Vienna asked.
“That’s up to her.” Tom said and looked at you.
“I’d love to.”
You and Vienna cleaned up the hair supplied while Tom got started on dinner. You left Vienna to play in her room before going to help Tom in the kitchen. He put on an old song and twirled you under his arm, making you feel like you were an old married couple. You snuck glances over at him every few seconds as you chopped up some vegetables and brushed against his shoulders every time you had to move past him.
By the time you finished dinner, Vienna’s eyes were shutting every few seconds as she rested her hand on her cheek.
“Come on. I think it’s time for you to get some sleep.” Tom said and picked her up. You followed them in Vienna’s room and stood back as he tucked her into her bed.
“Can I stay up for just five more minutes? Please, daddy?” Vienna asked through a yawn.
“Sure. Just five more.” Tom agreed. You put a hand on his shoulder and stroked your pinky down Vienna’s nose a few times until her eyes shut. Her soft snores soon filled the room so the two of you snuck out and quietly shut the door behind you.
“How did you do that?” Tom asked once you were alone.
“Magic.” You whispered and ran your finger down Tom’s nose the way you had done to Vienna. He blushed a pink all the way to his ears and leaned into your touch.
“I guess I should probably go.” You said softly as you pulled your hand away.
“You don’t have to.” Tom offered, hoping you wouldn’t go.
“I don’t?” You asked and took a step towards him.
“I mean, not to brag, but I do have 13 Going on 30 on DVD.”
“Oh do you now?” You raised an eyebrow.
A few minutes later, you were sitting on Tom’s couch with your head on his shoulder while 13 Going on 30 played. You talked about all the things you couldn’t talk about while Vienna was awake and slowly got to know each other better and better. You looked over at each other every so often to make sure the other was enjoying themselves. The movie ended all too soon and before you knew it, you were standing by his front door again.
“I had a good time tonight.” You told him, feeling like you were a teenager again.
“So did I.” Tom smiled. “Maybe you could swing by tomorrow and show me how to do those French braids again? Or you could just move in and teach me everything. Do you think you could talk to her about her first period while you’re here?”
“She’s 4.” You laughed.
“I know. When do periods start again?” He asked and nervously scratched the back of his neck.
“Don’t worry. You still have a couple years before you have to think about that.” You laughed again and patted his chest.
“I know I do. But I worry now because I won’t have someone like you in a couple years to educate me like you did today. And the Internet can only teach me so much.” Tom said with genuine sadness.
“Who says I won’t be around in a couple years?” You shrugged and took a step towards him.
“Well, the school only goes up to 5 year olds. She’ll be out after next year.”
“That’s true. What are you gonna do about it?” You asked him as you tilted your head to the side.
“I don’t know. Do you have an ideas?” He asked and put his pinky under your chin to tilt your face closer to his.
“I’m a teacher. I’m full of ideas.” You replied before leaning in the rest of the way to kiss him.
Vienna was driven to her grandparents the following morning while you hid in Tom’s room, still tangled in his bed sheets. You stared at the drawing of Olaf and Simba with a fond smile until Tom came back.
“Okay. My parents are letting her sleep over at their house tonight. That means you can stay the night again.“ Tom smiled in excitement as he climbed back into the bed with you.
“Do you feel bad that we’re lying to her?” You asked as you moved some hair off of Tom’s forehead.
“I did at first. But somewhere between the first kiss and waking up beside you, I stopped feeling any sort of remorse.” Tom smirked before leaning in to kiss you again.
“Yeah.” You smiled against his lips. “Me too.”
That Monday, Tom carried Vienna to the parent drop off door and couldn’t wait to show you the braids he had done in her hair. You noticed it immediately and gave him a knowing look.
“Hey Vienna. Nice hair.” You said and twirled one of her braids around your finger.
“Thanks Ms. Y/n.” Vienna smiled shyly before going to hug Tom.
“Bye daddy.”
“Bye, honey bee. I love you.” Tom put her down and kissed her cheek a few times before sending her into the school. You casually walked over to him and looked around for anyone who might be looking.
“Hi, Mr. Holland. Do anything fun this weekend?” You asked him with a coy smile. Tom grinned and pulled you by the waist against his body.
“I don’t kiss and tell.” He whispered in your ear before kissing you cheek. You quickly stepped away from each other afterwards so that no other parents would get suspicious but exchanged shy smiles.
“Do you think she knows about us?” Tom whispered and nodded towards Vienna.
“She’s 4. She doesn’t even know how to get dressed by herself.” You assured him.
“Okay. Good. We’ll figure out a time to tell her together, then.” Tom said with a shy smile.
“I like that. Together.” You repeated and fought the urge to kiss him again.
“I’ll see you at parent pick up?” He asked, fighting the same urge that you were.
“See you then.” You winked at him before going inside to your classroom.
“Welcome back, students. I’m glad to see you all returned for another fun filled week. Does anyone want to get up in front of the class and tell us what they did this weekend?” You asked your students once they were all in their seats. Vienna’s hand immediately shot up and you pointed to her.
“Yes, Vienna.” You called on her and she went to the front of the room with a huge smile.
“This weekend, I saw daddy kissing Ms. Y/n. On the mouth!” Vienna told the class with a huge smile. The kids reacted with a mixture of disgust and excitement from the news as you covered your mouth with your hand.
“Oh my God.” You whispered.
“I saw them kiss on Friday night when they thought I was sleeping and I thought they would kiss again but then daddy sent me to my grandmas house for the weekend. But when I came home on Sunday, Ms. Y/n’s jacket was still on my couch!” Vienna continued, sending the kids into a frenzy. Some were screaming “ew!” while others ooo’ed and made kissy faces at you.
“Oh my God.” You whispered again and pulled out your phone to text Tom.
“she knows. she 100% knows. we must’ve left her bedroom door open when we kissed. and I left my jacket on your couch”
“oh no 😦 we need to cover our tracks better next time. no more 👩❤️💋👨 until we know she’s 😴”
“not loving the emoji choice” You chuckled as you texted him. “but agreed. lesson learned”

Where Do Babies Come From?

Tiny feet could be heard padding against the hardwood floors of Tom’s home. He had been in the study room with Harry creating future plans and events for The Brother’s Trust. On his laptop was Sam, who joined the meeting via Facetime
“You know what would be fun? What if we had a little bake off?” Sam suggested through the laptop.
“How would that work?” Harry asked, resting his chin in his palm. “Well I’m obviously gonna be the judge. I want to see you both put your shit cooking skills to the test.” Sam remarked, snickering at the offended looks on his brothers’ faces.
“I’m actually a good cook, Lucas said so.” Tom boasted, a proud smile on his face since his son approved of his cooking. The door to the study suddenly opened slowly, catching the attention of all three Holland brothers. Behind the door was Tom’s ‘mini me’, Lucas.
“Hey, little man!” Harry greeted Lucas, wheeling his chair closer to the entrance of the room. Harry gathers his nephew into his arms and lifts him up to sit on his lap, wheeling back to Tom.
Tom softly smiles at his son, chuckling at the left over pudding that had stained the corners of Lucas’ mouth. Tom lifts his thumb up, gently wiping them away from Lucas’ face.
“Luca!” Sam yelled, wildly waving his hand at the camera. Lucas simply waves, mind too focused on the question that has been in his head all day.
“Dada?” Lucas asks, his tone hinting curiosity.
“Yes, bubbs?”
“Where do babies come from?” The question catches all of the men off guard, especially Tom. His mouth opens to say something but nothing came out. Too many thoughts were running in his head. Why was Lucas suddenly interested in the creation of babies? He knew his son would probably ask him the question one day, but he never expected it to be this soon. He was simply not prepared to tell his son about the cycle of life.
A look of panic washes over Tom’s face as he silently asks Sam and Harry for help. His two younger brothers only shrug with amused expressions on their face.
“Uh—well, did you ask mum?” Tom questions his son, shifting in his seat. Lucas innocently shakes his head, “Nope, mummy was cooking and I didn’t wanna bother her.” The four year old answered, scratching his head.
“You know, speaking of cooking, I think I left my stove open!” Sam said, followed by the sound FaceTime made whenever someone ended a call.
“This seems like a conversation you gentlemen should have, I’m going to help (y/n) cook.” Harry gently sets Lucas onto his dad’s lap and swiftly exists the room. The door closes and Tom is left with his son and the big question of the day.
Lucas only stares at his dad with his big brown eyes, patiently waiting for his dad’s response. His tiny brows furrowed together, “Dada, do you need me to say the question again?”
Tom quickly shakes his head wrapping his arms around his son and pulling him into his chest. “No, I heard you the first time, Lukey.”
Tom’s eyes shift from the ceiling to Lucas, “Well where do you think babies come from?”
Lucas adorably purses his lips together, making his ‘thinking’ face that resembled Tom’s whenever he was deep in thought.
“From mummy’s belly. She eats the babies and then it comes out, like poop!” Lucas explains enthusiastically. His little arms waving around while he talked, making Tom’s heart swell in adoration.
Tom couldn’t help but let out a laugh at his son’s theory on babies. He wasn’t entirely wrong.
“Well, you’re not wrong, it does come out like poop.” Tom acknowledges, his son only nodding in agreement. “Wait, how do you know that babies come out like poop?”
Lucas shrugs, “How else is it supposed to leave mummy’s tummy? When she eats it, she poops it out, like food. Mama said that’s how the digesive system works.” Though he mispronounced the word, digestive, Tom was still impressed at how intelligent his son was. Thankfully, Lucas inherited your brain and your wits instead of his.
Lucas leans into his dad’s chest, hands coming up to lazily pull and smush his dad’s face together. “Is that how it really works, daddy?”
Tom hums, making funny faces while Lucas squished his cheeks together. “Not quite, bubba.” Tom comments, though it came out muffled due to the tiny hands on his face.
Lucas stopped, his bottom lip jutted out, and a crinkle formed on the skin between his eyebrows. “Then how does it work?” The toddler huffed, crossing his little arms.
“Uhm..”
“Do they use magic?”
“No?” Tom responded, though his answer seemed more like a question.
Lucas’ curiosity was peaking and the questions just kept on coming.
“Are babies from the factories? Like in Boss Baby?”
“Not really.”
“Then why did they show the babies in a factory, dada?”
Tom’s mouth was agape, “Because...because—it makes the process look much more fun for little kids?”
Little Lucas frustratedly threw his hands in the air, “But what IS the process, dada?”
Tom releases a breath of air and sits up in his seat. He adjusts Lucas on his lap, who was staring at him intently still waiting for his dad to tell him where babies come from.
“Alright, so when, um, when a woman and a man fall in love with each other. Like really, really, in love, they have all of these feelings.” Tom starts, trying to think of a PG yet somewhat accurate explanation to baby making—sex, in other words.
“Like how you and mummy are really, really, in love?” Lucas interjects. Tom nods and snaps his fingers, “Yes, exactly like mummy and I.”
“So when the mummy and daddy share lots and lots of powerful feelings for each other—it all comes together and becomes one big ball of love. And that big ball of love turns into a baby that grows in the mummy’s stomach for about nine months.” Tom explains, his hands making wild gestures and his face becoming expressive to make the story more interesting for his son.
Lucas’ mouth fell open, “So that’s how you and mummy made me?” A lopsided grin was on Tom’s face as he stared down at his son. The similar chocolate brown eyes that Lucas inherited from him twinkled in wonder.
“Yup, that’s exactly how we made you.” Tom confirms, fondly brushing a hand through the mop of curls that rested on Lucas’ head.
Lucas rested his chin on his dad’s chest. “So I’m a big ball of you and mama’s feelings?” He mumbled, eyes suddenly feeling heavy.
Tom hums, “Yeah, you’re our big bundle of love, sunshine.” He notices Lucas’ head beginning to loll to the side, so he gently places his hand behind Lucas’ head and rests it against his chest.
“That’s cool.” Lucas whispers before drifting off to sleep in his daddy’s arms. Tom is left admiring his son, just like the day he first arrived into the world. Lucas’ features were a combination of Tom’s and yours. He remembers the night Lucas was conceived and the memories that followed after you told him you were pregnant. He remembers feeling nothing but endless love from you and endlessly loving you every single day. Looking at his son, he’s reminded everyday of the love you both share. Lucas was right, he really is a big ball of your and Tom’s feelings.

Sequel to It Takes A village
You sighed looking at your bank balance. You should have enough to get the boys both new shoes, new clothes, and all their supplies. If not you'll just pull from your savings.
"Okay boys lets get you two dressed so we can go school shopping." You said as you finished cleaning up breakfast.
"Can I get a frog backpack?" Felix asked you.
"I want a forky backpack." Flynn said as he finished his apple slices.
"We'll see what they have." You smiled at them. "Go pick your outfits out then I'll help you get dressed."
"Okay mommy!" Felix said.
"Hey Sweetpea what's your plans for the day?" Chris asked walking into the kitchen.
"I have to take the boys school shopping." You said setting the towel down. "You can join us if you want."
"Okay I will join you guys. Well I wanted to talk to you about something. Tom Holland is going to be in my next movie!" Chris told you smiling. The movie was filming in boston and filming starts next month.
"Cool. We could invite him to Flynn and Felix's birthday party. Felix would to have the "real" spiderman there." You joked.
"Yeah, but I was also was thinking about inviting him to stay with us while we are filming so he doesn't have to live in a hotel." Chris told you. It was obvious he wanted you opinion before he actually did invite him. He didn't want to just invite someone in the home while your living there and raising your kids there just in case you didn't like the person for whatever reason.
"Oh okay. I mean I don't care." You shrugged. "It's your house."
"Okay thank you peanut." He smiled before you left to go get ready for the store.
———
"Okay boys pick a backpack." You said. Both kids jumped off the sides of the cart and looked at the wide selection of backpacks at Walmart. You get a employee discount it's just more practical to get stuff there. Anyway there were sharks, dinosaurs, princesses, videogame themed bags. Your dad was standing with you but was distracted looking at hats.
Flynn looked closely at all of the backpacks trying to find the perfect one. Felix on the other hand grabbed the only two spiderman book bags.
"Buddy you can only get one. Which one is your favorite?" You asked him smiling. One was a basic bag with Peter Parker's spiderman on the front, the other one was a spider-verse backpack with Peter Parker, Miles Morales, and Spider-Gwen in their costumes. Both of which came with a matching lunch box.
"This one." He held up the second one.
"Okay, buddy toss it in the cart then." You smiled looking over at Flynn. He was now looking at the dinosaur bookbags. There was a Jurassic World backpack and some generic dinosaur bags that were still really cute. You had a feeling he'd go with the Jurassic World one.
"Poppy! Look at the bag I picked!" Felix said pointing in the cart at the bag.
"That is awesome! I wish I had one." Chris said smiling.
"It's the only one you have to have that one." He pointed the bag you were hanging back up seeing has he sat it on the bottom shelf and not the hook it was hung on. not hung up.
"I think I'll just wait." Chris chuckled picking Felix up. Which the kid welcomed, he liked being picked up by Chris because it made him feel like he was tall.
"Mommy! I want this one." Flynn held up the Jurassic world bag it also came with a lunch box. You weren't sure if you'd be packing their lunch this year or not. You probably would since school lunches are anything but healthy.
"Okay toss it in." You smiled, "okay climb on." Flynn climbed on the cart standing on the end of the cart. Felix was on Chris' shoulders.
You four went to the shoes aisle. They both need two new pairs of shoes. You had a feeling they'd pick matching shoes but you didn't care as long as they were happy.
—
They picked out shoes, they both got a pair of light-up sketchers, and another pair. After going to shoes the four of you went to the cup aisle so that the boys could pick out water bottles as that was something on the list. Felix picked out a water bottle themed to the Spidey and his Amazing Friends show on Disney Junior. It is his favorite show, while Flynn's favorite is Dino Dana, though Felix also likes that show just not as much as his brother. But they didn't have a dino dana water bottle so Flynn got a Paw patrol one. Which is a show they both love.
After water bottles and shoes you grabbed a cheap pack of reusable plastic utensils to put in their lunch boxes. So they wouldn't lose your dad's silverware. Chris was entertaining the boys in the toy section while you did that.
You gathered them after you got everything you needed. It was time for clothes. Five shirts should and a few new pairs of pants, underwear and socks then they should be fine. You let them pick out their shirts while you grabbed the pants. You were just getting them jeans so there was no point in letting them pick them out, besides your dad was helping them with the shirts.
"Okay boys look through the shirts then I'll grab your size." Chris smiles at them. They normally picked out clothes where they matched. You never forced them to match, you gave the ability to pick their clothes. Now obviously the two of them like different things but if they want two of the exact same thing your gonna get it for them.
"That one!" Flynn said pointing to a shirt with a dinosaur on it.
"Bub do you want one too?" Chris asked Felix as he looked through the sizes.
"Yes please!" Felix said smiling.
"Okay." Chris smiled. He was very pleased to see that they had two shirts left in their size. Soon they had their shirts, the dinosaur shirt, then Flynn got a toy story shirt while Felix got a Winnie the Pooh shirt, then they got matching shirts that say "warning: Small but hazardous", then a few other shirts. You came back helped them both pick out a hoodie before leaving that aisle to get school supplies. Eventually, you got everything and made it home to pack everything in their bags for next week. The lost said not to label the supplies but your a rule breaker. Also you can't afford to get them more supplies if they end up becoming communal supplies.

smoke and mirrors
⇢ richkid!tom x richkid!reader ⇠
w/c: 4.1k
warnings: swearing, drinking, light angst, and implied smut
summary: because of your mother’s insistence on a pristine family image and tom’s messy one, you deny your true feelings for him
a/n: ok ok ok the pics of tom in monaco really made me think and i had to get everything out of my system so here we are! thank you and enjoy x
-
your living room is engulfed by a hushed chatter that comes from far too many guests. half the people, you hardly know. it’s overcrowded, superficial, and the last place you want to be. it’s one of your mother’s get-togethers, as she likes to call them. these things are always far from the casual affairs they sound like.
weeks go into planning, caterers and decorators making themselves at home in yours. the family’s image is everything to your mom, so being a good hostess is her top priority. ironically, she’s more concerned with throwing her gatherings than raising you. so much for family, huh?
the only reason you agreed to make an appearance tonight is that tom might do the same. he’s a really good friend, someone you’ve been able to count on through all the mess that is your lives. you met in high school, when he moved from london to the states. his dad was offered a job promotion he couldn’t pass up. plus, tom and his brothers would be receiving a stellar private education here in america.
it was a win for everyone, especially you. the freckle faced boy who got lost on his way to english class became your closest confidant. tom’s company is such a sweet escape. he’s not interested in opera or the stock market like most people you meet are. he sneaks you out to go on walks at dawn and does shots with you until you can’t stand straight.
as you two continue to grow together, revelations about yourselves have come to light. what you want beyond your inheritances, who you want beyond friendship. you figured out the second part on a faithful night recently. tom showed up to your place with a bottle of tequila. after you drank it down through lots of lime chasers and giggles, he kissed you. you didn’t kiss back.
your heart said to go for it, but your mind pulled you back in. you were so shocked and overcome with new feelings, you froze up. that, and you’d infuriate your mother. although she cares about tom a great deal, she loathes his public figure. he’s always getting papped in places and with people he shouldn’t be. the two of you together would just destroy her.
you still want to please your mom at the end of the day, no matter how deep under your skin she gets.
tom immediately apologized and tried play it off as him being drunk. you grew up with him, became part of each other’s families, which means you know him well enough to know he was lying. he meant every second his lips were on yours.
what you need to do now is something you’ve meant to for a while. the only problem is that you’re stuck at your mother’s party, and tom hasn’t shown up yet.
“y/n, darling,” your mom calls for your attention. she’s dragged you into a conversation with some bloggers, but you haven’t spoken a word. “why don’t you tell us about your trip to spain last summer?” she plasters on her award winning grin and squeezes your shoulder. it’s time to play along.
“oh, it was beautiful,” you halfheartedly reply, more to the bloggers than her. they nod in clear interest. one jots down notes. “we went for a few weeks and visited a bunch of different cities. i’d love to go back sometime.” the typical press formatted answer earns your mom’s approval. you’re off the hook. your eyes start to wander around the room, hoping to set on tom.
“we?” the woman taking notes asks. must everyone pry? “my friend and i,” you shortly reply. you’re standing up on your tiptoes to see over the crowd. you’d think six inch heels would do the trick. “i’m actually looking for him right now, so if you’ll excuse me,” you offer a polite smile and silently pray they won’t ask who. unfortunately, your wishes don’t come true.
the other blogger, a short and stubborn man, speaks up. “just a friend you say? come on, tell us. who’s the lucky fella?” he inquires. your mother raises a firm eyebrow, signaling for you not to.
tom has a reputation for his reckless behavior. it’s your mom’s worst nightmare when the media associates your names under most circumstances. you’re representing her, so she does whatever she can to control how you’re seen. you’re constantly in the papers, being a young socialite and all. it sucks.
“he’d like to stay out of the tabloids, sorry,” you cover for tom, on your mom’s behalf. “i should really go. it was nice meeting you.” the bloggers don’t bother to hide their disappointment as you shake their hands. your mother rubs your back in approval. “thank you for doing that. we’ll talk later,” she speaks lowly. “bye, mom!” you practically make a run for it.
weaving through the sea of people, you end up by the main entrance. it’s hard not to get lost even though it’s your house. the place is packed with girls just a couple years older than you, wearing pearls around their necks. men’s strong colognes flow through the air. you’re in a form fitting red slip dress and louboutins yourself.
smoke and mirrors is what they call it. you show the pretty parts to distract from your ugly ones.
harrison suddenly comes waltzing in with a lady on either of his arms. you’d expect nothing less. he’s tom’s best friend besides you, considering the failed kiss attempt didn’t change that. their parents worked at the london branch of the same company. they each came to the states and met you. you happily introduced them to your world, helping to make it theirs as well.
“haz!” you meet him at the front door. he’s smirking while he leads the women inside. “fancy seeing you here, isn’t it?” he jokes. “very funny. i died laughing,” you deadpan, curiously eyeing harrison’s plus two. they merely giggle. “listen, have you seen tom anywhere? if he’s coming.” you’re fighting back a frown. “why wouldn’t he be?” harrison questions in a more serious tone this time.
“long story. you have guests to entertain, so i won’t get into it now,” you decide and manage a small smile instead. he perks up. “right. i’ll let you know if i see him?” nodding, you give him a wave goodbye. “enjoy yourself.” “you too, love. cheers!” the girls lean into him, harrison wiggling his eyebrows at you. he’s ridiculous.
hours pass by without word of tom. it isn’t like him to miss an event, especially if you’re in attendance. you despise these exhausting nights, and he’s supposed to be your rock during them. he should have his arm draped around your shoulders, whispering silly remarks to you while you hide out somewhere. you miss him more than you thought possible.
you’re just about to give up when you spot nikki ushering her husband inside. behind them follows tom, clad in a grey checkered suit with his locks perfectly tousled. he’s here. you waited the whole night, and he finally came.
tom kisses his mom on the cheek before strutting over to the drink table, not without a few reporters hassling him. they’re probably looking for another holland scandal to break. he declines their requests for comments on this and opinions on that, instead pulling up a chair next to harrison. the two exchange hugs and fix themselves glasses of champagne, you watching their encounter.
harrison fills tom in on the drama he’s missed tonight while they sip their drinks. tom keeps forcing smiles that don’t reach his eyes. he’s fiddling with his fingers, leg bouncing up and down steadily. those are the telltale signs he needs saving. however awkward it may be, you’re going to have to break your silence. it was bound to happen eventually.
“mate, i’m telling you. she fit her entire first right up her-“ “boys,” you cut into harrison’s story, greeting him and tom. his face tints deep pink upon your arrival. “don’t let me stop you. finish your charming anecdote,” you encourage him and subtly glance over at tom. he’s biting back a grin as he sets his elbows on the table.
“not with a lady present. let’s just… pretend you didn’t hear that,” harrison chuckles nervously and hops to his feet. “i’m gonna leave you two to chat.” humming, you move to take his chair. tom sucks in a breath. “what happened to the girls you brought?” you wonder. “they left. said they got bored,” harrison admits, tom stifling laughter. he elbows his friend for that.
“oh, fuck off. i’ll see you later,” he mopes, flicking your arm for good measure. tom salutes him and grabs his nearly empty champagne. “so long, bruv.”
it’s just you and tom now, seated side by side, silently so. he has no intentions of speaking first. he’s too embarrassed, and you don’t blame him. this is on you. you clear your throat before starting the conversation.
“can i top you off?” you tap the bottom of his glass with a tiny smile. tom shakes his head. “i’m alright, thanks.” he finishes the last sip and sets it down, turning to face you. your smile has vanished. “wasn’t sure you were gonna make it. i’m glad you did,” you change the subject. as if he’s considering the sincerity behind your words, tom furrows his eyebrows.
“mum wanted us to. she dragged me and dad straight off the golf course,” he explains and clasps his hands in his lap. his fingers interlock with each other. you fight off the urge to replace them with yours. “we would’ve been here sooner, but the paps are camped outside.” the hint of a smile forms on his lips, at last. “guess it’s not often you get the town’s finest under one roof.”
“you think i’m one of the town’s finest?” you tease, resting your chin in your palm. something flashes behind tom’s eyes. he looks right into yours, scooting closer. “absolutely. you’re the most eligible bachelorette in this whole building.” you allow a toothy grin to spread across your face. “tommy, stop it. you’re too nice to me.”
the nickname is music to his ears. tom looks you up and down, licking his lips simultaneously. “no, seriously. you look gorgeous,” he muses, you pushing at his chest. he exhales a breathy laugh, and you giggle yourself. “red’s definitely your color.” “reverse card. you wear it way better than i do,” you insist. your fingers tug at the collar of his suit. “too bad you didn’t match me.”
you’re relieved you two can talk like you usually do, light flirting and good vibes. it might not be so hard to put the kiss behind you. well, you can’t go on pretending it didn’t happen. you have to at least discuss the fiasco. tom should know why you didn’t reciprocate, then you can take it from there. whether he still has feelings for you, assuming he ever did, will depend on how that turns out.
“not to ruin the fun, but we still have to talk,” you murmur, tom’s body stiffening across from yours. he’s not sure he’s ready to discuss that. “can it wait? we’re at a party,” tom reminds you, running a hand through his styled locks. “yeah, my mother’s. don’t tell me you’re having a good time,” you playfully chastise him. he simply shrugs. “hardly. you’re the best part.”
you ignore the butterflies roaming about your body.
“you won’t mind a quick convo, then. it is with me,” you attempt to persuade him and place a hand on his knee. tom coughs a bit too loudly, the contact surprising him. “you know what? i think i’ll take you up on that drink first,” he decides with a mustered up smile. “coming right up.” you pat his leg before taking his glass. he chews on his lower lip while you poor the bubbling liquid. that was certainly… odd.
you slide tom his champagne back with an exaggerated wink. tom scoffs at this. “mm, thanks. care to join me?” he brings the alcohol to his lips, eyes never leaving yours. your mother specifically said no drinking tonight, since the press would be here. screw your mother, though. “please. could you hand me a glass?” you eagerly grab the champagne bottle. tom searches for an empty cup next to him.
you two are unspoken drinking buddies at this point.
“here you are, darling,” tom drawls, holding out the glass for you. every time he calls you that, you completely melt. “thanks, tommy,” you purr in response. you’re finally pouring your own drink when someone taps you on the shoulder, and hard. you look behind you to find your mother standing with her hands on her hips, less than thrilled. speak of the devil.
“hello, mother. can i help you?” you make sure to ask rudely. she responds with a smile that’s obviously fake. if tom weren’t here, you’d be getting scolded. “yes, my darling. those bloggers from earlier were hoping you’d finish your interview.” your mom shakes your shoulder in a motherly way. you squint up at her. “didn’t they leave hours ago-“ “they’re back,” she sharply informs you.
she’s lying, and you have a hunch as to why.
frowning, you hold tom’s hand in both of yours. “sorry, this won’t take long. why don’t you go find tuwaine?” you suggest instead. “he’s around here somewhere.” tom gives you an understanding nod and laces your fingers together, even if it’s only for a moment. “must be chatting up some producers or whatnot. i’ll see if i can help.” he’s such an incredible friend to everyone. he deserves the same from you.
“thomas, so lovely to see you,” your mom interrupts. tom stands up, kissing both her cheeks out of courtesy. “you, too. what a wonderful party. thank you for having us.” despite what the rest of the world believes, his manners are impeccable. “of course. give nikki my best, will you?” your mom puts her hands on his shoulders. he grins at her. “definitely. take care, mrs. y/l/n.” “always a pleasure,” she states, nudging you to come along with her.
you shoot tom one last apologetic look as your mother pulls you along and towards the crowd.
tom is no idiot. he’s well aware how she really feels about him.
when a swarm of guests is surrounding you, your mom lets go. you scowl, crossing your arms over your chest. “why would you do that? i haven’t seen tom in days.” she sighs without a care. “isn’t it time you branch out? expand your social circle?” her manicured fingers ruffle your hair. you push away her touch. “i’m social enough. we were in the middle of something really important.”
you begin to walk away, but your mother takes your arm. “whatever you’re about to do, it’s a mistake. he’ll make a fool of you,” she practically spits. yanking your arm from her grasp, you laugh bitterly. “of me, or of the family name? look around, mom.” you gesture to the spot beside her where your dad should be. “as far as i’m concerned, i have no family except tom. i’m gonna go check on him.”
you’re gone before your mom can stop you. she simply stands there, utterly mortified by what you said.
you run around the house to find tom, stumbling in your heels and not giving a fuck. you’d truly meant the part about him being your family. all the holland’s, honestly. they’re the most genuine and caring souls, and you don’t want to lose the one you’re closest to because of your mother’s delusions.
tom is in a circle with harrison and tuwaine, the three of them chuckling amongst themselves. you’d hate to bug him, but this can’t wait anymore.
“uh, tom?” you mumble his name, appearing behind him. he steps away with another quiet laugh. “hey, y/n/n. that was quick, hm?” your face gives away your distress. his whole demeanor shifting, tom reaches for your hands. “what is it, love? is something the matter?” “just… come with me,” you croak out.
you manage to smile at harrison and tuwaine, dropping one of tom’s hands so you can lead him upstairs. they each return the smile and share curious looks.
following behind you, tom keeps your hand tight in his own. he’d thought you were going to grill him about the kiss that barely happened. it seems like this is a much more pressing matter. his outburst of emotions can be discussed another time. now, it’s time to deal with yours.
you drag tom into the first room on the second floor, which is your dad’s study. he’s away on business this weekend, so he luckily couldn’t make the party. tom sits down in the office chair. you sit up on the desk, in front of him. your lip quivers the second his worried features come into view.
“y/n/n, what’s going on? why are we in here?” tom wonders, his tone soft. your heart clenches. “i- i wanted us to have some privacy when i told you this,” you sniffle out and blink back the tears forming. you’re sort of shaken from the conversation with your mother, and mostly because you have no idea how tom will react to your confession.
his hands come to stay on your thighs, right below your dress. they feel warm against your bare skin.
“tell me what? i’m listening, yeah?” tom gazes up at you with so much love. “lay it all out for me.” god, he’s fucking amazing. if only you knew where to start. “do you, um…” you trail off, letting your tears subside and words settle. “do you remember when your family made your big debut in town?”
a grin replaces tom’s frown, painting his beautiful face. “how could i forget? you made it quite memorable.” he traces circles on your thigh and elicits a giggle from you. “i spilled a whole thing of soda on your white fucking button down,” you recount with a lighthearted sigh. “right before your dad was supposed to introduce you to everyone, too.”
tom presses his tongue into his cheek to hold back another grin. “took ages to get it out. dad went mad when i didn’t show.” he cocks his head to the side, you leaning back on your hands. “you held me hostage in the laundry room so you could do that bloody stain stick.” your mouth drops open in mock offense. “i had to clean up my mess! i wasn’t gonna let the world meet you covered in pepsi.”
that was one of your earliest memories together. the holland’s threw a party and invited everyone who was willing to attend. they had been hoping to properly introduce themselves to the town, and this was their way of doing so. although yours and tom’s friendship was fairly new, you spent all night together because you had experience with such events.
tom’s dad was making a speech to thank the guests for coming. you and him listened from the snack table, until his name was called. he rushed to go up there while you were pouring yourself a drink. he’d bumped into you, and the bottle ended up all over him. you snuck tom right off to his laundry room.
you’d felt terrible as he stood there shirtless and blushing, you aggressively swiping his button down with a stain stick.
“why do you bring that up?” tom questions and continues circling your skin. you purse your lips. “i dunno. it was the last party i actually enjoyed,” you admit, putting your hand over his that rests on your thigh. “like to reminisce when i’m suffering through one of my mother’s.” his eyes shift to where your hands are laced. “i see,” he affirms. “so, is that… all you wanted to talk about?” “not even close,” you laugh out.
a burst of courage coursing through your body, you say it. “when you kissed me the other night-“ “i won’t do it again,” tom cuts in, trying to avoid the rejection he thinks you’ll give him. “it was a mistake, and i’m so sorry. our friendship is more important than my feelings.” you seem excited to hear that, though it’s not for the reason tom expects. “you do have feelings for me?”
he’d forgotten about his i was drunk excuse.
“um, yeah. i do,” he admits, cheeks rosy and lip caught in his teeth. “but, i’ll learn to put them aside, if that’s what’s best.” “no, no. it isn’t,” you dismiss him and put your free hand on his chest. “i love you, tom. that’s what i was really trying to tell you.” your words bring an instant grin to his face. he chuckles in disbelief, standing from the chair.
“fuck, thank god. that’s all i’ve ever wanted to hear.” he’s between your legs now, his hands moving up to your hips. you’re beaming at him as your arms snake around his neck. a burning question comes to tom’s mind. “hang on. why didn’t you kiss me back, then?” he almost whispers, thumb brushing over your hipbone. “this is gonna sound weird, but… my mom,” you reluctantly let out.
“you’re gonna have to elaborate,” tom prompts you and raises an eyebrow. you can’t hold back your eye roll. “she’s never been a fan of the person you are in the media.” his lips form a line. “i gathered.” your fingers tangle in his curls at the nape of his neck reassuringly. “i was subconsciously scared i would be letting her down in some way, if we were together.”
tom allows your hands to work their way up to his scalp. he exhales contentedly as you play with his ever so soft hair. “i understand, she’s intimidating. what’s changed that brilliant mind of yours about coming clean?” your nose scrunches up when he pokes one of your temples. “oh, yeah. i yelled at her earlier ‘cuz she stole me away from you.” his face lights up. “sexy.” “shut up,” you groan. “someone had to tell her off.”
“good thing it got to be you,” tom agrees with a squeeze at your hip. “‘m proud of you, y/n/n. it’s not easy, standing up to mummy dearest.” you tug on his hair. “like you’d know. nikki is a saint.” “that’s what she’ll have you believe,” he says under his breath, you gasping. his lips turn up in a smirk. “on that note… i love you, too.”
“would’ve been embarrassing if you didn’t say it back,” you acknowledge with a cheesy smile. tom dips his head down to rest his forehead against yours. “yeah, yeah. save the attitude for your mum.” your legs easily wrap around his waist, tom’s breath hot as it hits your face. “let’s give that kiss another go,” you mewl. he doesn’t hesitate to reply. “with pleasure.”
tom’s lips land on yours, you kissing back right away. he smiles into it as your lips gently move together. “about fucking time,” he grumbles, your hands situating in his chocolate curls once again. he’s savoring every second you touch him, kiss him, love him. the taste of your mouth is one he’s craved for longer than you could imagine.
it doesn’t take long for things to heat up, you messing with tom’s hair and tom rubbing your hips. you lay back on the desk as his tongue enters your mouth. holding you by your waist, tom hovers over you. his tongue tangles with yours in a deep kiss. between that and his fingers beginning to massage your thigh, you’re done for. you’re ready to take this a step further by the time he’s kissing down your neck.
“tommy?” you grab onto his shoulders, your head back. his lips detach from your skin with a grin. “yeah, love? ‘s everything okay?” he coos, pressing a final kiss to your collarbone. “more than.” you tilt his chin up to peck his lips. “you wouldn’t happen to have a condom, would you? just thinking ahead.” he laughs breathlessly, reaching into his suit pocket.
“conveniently enough, i do. not sure your dad would like me fucking you on his desk, though.” tom sets his hand on your leg that’s still hooked around his waist. “my room’s always available. carry me?” you make grabby hands and bat your lashes. he hoists you up by your waist, not lifting you just yet. “that would break the news of us, no? your mum’s gonna go apeshit.” he keeps his arms around you, chuckling.
“let her. besides, i know a couple of bloggers that would love to announce our status update.” you peck tom’s lips, grinning as you do. you’re suddenly in the air and being picked up by tom. the surprise of it makes you squeal, clutching onto his broad shoulders instinctively. he gives you the look of adoration that’s reserved for you only.
“we’ll go pop a few bottles with everyone, then we’re celebrating on our own.”

"Bath time stinky" with dad!Peter x Stark! Reader (or can you do Step mom Stark!reader? If you're comfortable that is!) 🥰🥰🥰🥰
summary: you were meant to put scarlett to bed before her dad got home, but you lost track of time
dad!peter x stepmom!stark!reader
w/c 702
a/n literally like the only thing stark about the reader is the very slight personality
Once glance at the clock on the wall in Peter’s apartment had you shooting up from your chilled position. Your boyfriend had to work late so you’d promised him that you’d bathe and put his toddler to bed before he got home so he wouldn’t have to.
But apparently you’d got a little distracted with the kids show you’d put on for the little girl, cause hey they could actually be quite entertaining. Of course Scarlett wouldn’t remind you it was getting late because she always loved spending time with you and reminding you meant she had to go bed fairly soon, so by staying quiet she got to stay cuddled up with her favourite person.
“Look at the time,” you muttered, sitting up and alerting the girl that you were very much aware it was past her bedtime. You sighed, rolling your eyes as she gave you the most innocent expression she could muster. “Bath time, stinky,” you announced, scooping her up suddenly into your arms, being met with a wave of uncontrollable toddler giggles.
You were hoping she wouldn’t fight you on this. You didn’t really want Peter to come home and find her not in bed because then you’d be to blame and an angry Peter was not a loving Peter.
»»——⍟——««
Time was not on your side tonight, Peter getting home earlier than planned and you struggling to bathe Scarlett with all her fussing and splashing.
That was probably why you didn’t hear Peter announce he was home, at least not until he was in the hallway outside the bathroom.
“Are you guys having fun without me?” Peter whined, following the sound of high pitched laughter all the way to the bathroom. He found you kneeling beside the bathtub, half of the water covering your clothes as baby Parker splashed you again.
You mustered up the most innocent look you could, hoping he’d move on and just join you both rather than causing a scene. Thankfully it looked like he was too tired to put up a fight, smiling softly as his baby reached out to him. He joined you on the floor, bringing Scarlett’s hand up to his mouth so he could place a sweet kiss on it to properly greet his angel.
“Should start getting her dry soon,” you told him, reaching over to grab the spiderman themed towel, hood with a resemblance to his mask included.
He hummed, watching as you rinsed the soap from the short curls on top of her head. He was in awe at how gentle you were with her, carefully tipping her head back to pour the water over her head.
She grinned up at you, flashing you those big brown eyes that were the same ones her dad had, the ones you adored more than anything.
“You ready to get out and go to bed?” you asked her. She originally was going to protest, enjoying bath time more than she would admit, but she saw the stern look on her dad’s face and decided otherwise.
After the two of you dried her off she was more tired than she realised. That led to her falling asleep pretty quickly once her head hit the pillow of her bed, leaving you and Peter to talk alone for the first time since that morning.
“So, miss Stark, why was my daughter out of bed after her bedtime?” he asked. You pretended not to hear him, muttering something about how pretty he looked today. “Y/N,” he pressed, hands settling on your face so you had no choice but to look right at him as he questioned you.
“She distracted me with her surprisingly good cartoons,” you tried, pouting your lips in an attempt to gain your boyfriend’s sympathy.
“Did she really?” he questioned. Now Peter wasn’t an intimidating person, he was the biggest looking softie on the planet, but right now with his eyes boring into yours you couldn’t help but feel under pressure. So you decided to change the subject all together.
“I love her y’know,” you whispered, resting your head on his chest sweetly. He smiled, stroking his hand up and down your back. “I know, she loves you too.”

Summary: The leader of the London Mafia is the devil in person and you would do everything you can to end him, wouldn't you?
masterlist || taglist || requests ( in my masterlist)
"I'm not gonna talk to him father!" I yelled at my dad.
"Why?! It's strictly about business anyway!" he yelled back at me. "I'm sorry father, but I'm not gonna talk to the devil in disguise" i said in a slightly calmer voice. "It's just for a few minutes and it's strictly about the mob, okay? He won't hurt you or something" my dad answerd. After a while of thinking about it, I agreed.
"Just for a few minutes and not more" i said quietly.
"yes, thank you y/n" i just nodded with my head before I made my way into the huge conference room where the devil should be.
I hate this man. I could kill him. The problem is… he could kill me too… in seconds.
Thomas Stanley motherfucking Holland.
And now I should go to him and try to make a deal with him, that's gonna be fun. Probably we can't even start to talk about the deal because we're just gonna argue. Like usual.
I opened the door and didn't even looked up to look if he was here yet-
"Well hello darling"
Fuck.
"Hello Thomas" I said with a fake smile.
"I already told that you can call me Tom babygirl" he said.
"And I already told you that you should stop calling me these nicknames because I don't like them" I told him. "Well guess what baby, I don't give a single shit about it" he said with a wide smile.
I just scoffed and shook my head before I sat down on one of the chairs in the room. Tom sat down on the chair at the exact opposite of me.
"So, let's talk about the deal, okay?"
"Okay" Tom nodded.
---
1 week later, after we finally finished the deal, I could relax and went into the library in our mansion. Most of the time I don't even have time to read, but when I got time then I use it and read a few pages of my favorite books. It's something that kinda brings me back into the real world and calms me down quickly. So I don't want to get disturbed.
But of course something- no, someone had to disturb me.
"Hello darling" thomas said as he entered the library with both of his hands in the pockets of his black coat.
"What do you want Holland" I spat back angrily.
"Honestly? You"
I was frozen for a second. It's not that I like him or anything, like i already said, I absolutely hate this man, but he is attractive, i can't deny that. No women can deny that.
"Cat caught your tongue babydoll?" he whispered quietly in my ear from behind. Of course I had to stay infront of the bookshelf with my back to him right now.
"Hmm?" he said in my ear again while I was still pretty frozen.
"get the fuck out of my way Tom" I said with a slightly nervous voice. Suddenly he put both of his arms on my shoulders and slowly traced his fingertips down my arms. I literally started to shiver as he said that,
"pretty little thing" he whisper right in my ear and left a gently peck on the side of my neck. Then he put both of his hands in mine and slowly rubbed this thumb over my hand.
And I let him. I fucking let him.
"I know that you like it baby, I know it" he whispered in the back of my neck before he started to leave kisses at the side of my neck. He was so gentle and soft. His lips were so warm and they felt so fucking good, wait what-
"Okay, stop" I said as I turned around and pushed him away.
"That's sad, it looked like you really enjoyed it darling" he said while he slowly approached me again. As he took the first step forward, I took one backwards but then I remembered that my back is already against the shelf.
Well fuck.
As he stood infront of me, he put both of his hands next to my head and leaned really close. Our noses were nearly touching.
"You don't have to lie to me princess, you know? And when you really wanna test me, then I dare you to do that, we both know that I'm gonna win babydoll" he whispered quietly while he looked me deep in the eyes.
"You may be a Holland, but don't forget that I'm a y/l/n honey" I told him while I held eye contact.
"Cause you exactly know what I'm capable of, you already saw me fighting and taking your men down easily" I added.
"And you exactly know what I'm capable of babygirl"
"Oh please, you are just as weak as your men are Holland" I said with a quick laugh.
"I'm not talking about fighting love" he said with a tiny smirk.
"About what then champ?" I said with a little smile on my face.
"You know what I'm the best at?" he said as he slowly leaned closer so his mouth was hovering over my ear.
"What" I asked before I rolled my eyes.
"Punishments" he whispered.
And as soon as he said that my smile faded and I was frozen… again.
"I knew you would be quiet as soon as I said that. Have you ever got punished before? You know like, did you ever got a few good spanks and a few edges-"
"shut up Thomas" I spat quietly at him.
"You get turned on from the thought of me spanking you and edging you until you beg me to stop, don't you?"
"I-I, n-no i-I don't" I stuttered.
"Don't lie to me princess" he said while he looked me in my eyes again.
"I don't" I said while I looked down at my feet. "Can you say that while you look me in the eyes?" he asked.
I looked him in the eyes, but I couldn't get a single word out.
"That's what I thought" he said before he put both of his hands back in his pockets again and went to the door.
"Where a-are you g-going?" Why did I asked that?!
"I'm gonna go back to work, if you need someone that makes you scream and cry at same time, and I don't mean that in a painful way, then you know where I am" he said before he opened the door and left.
"God please help me" I quietly prayed before I left the library too and went to the gym.
---
"Tom, let me through" I said in a pretty calm voice.
"No" he answered with a tiny smirk.
"Thomas please! I have to be in the meeting like, right now!" I raised my voice at him.
"And?" he asked while he looked down at me. Sadly I'm shorter than him. "And?! When my dad finds out that you are keeping me up here then you. are. dead, holland." he lightly chuckled before he spoke up,
"That would be a shame wouldn't it?" he said with a wide grin while slowly raced his hand and stroked my cheek with his knuckles. "Tom stop" I told him angrily. "You are so sweet when you're angry, you know?"
"Fuck. off" I whispered while I looked him deep in the eyes. That was the last thing i said to him before I pushed him angrily away and stormed through the door.
"Where the fuck where you y/n?" my dad asked with a slightly aggressive voice. I didn't knew which kind of lie I should tell him, so I told him the truth.
"Tom distracted me" I said while I took a seat. "Tom Holland?" he said while he looked at me. "Of course the holland boy dad, who else?" I spat. "Not in that tone young lady" he spat back angrily before he sat down in his own chair and scoffed before he started to talk about some mob business shit while I held back my tears.
It's not that I hate this life, or the mob, it's just that I would love when someone would give me some love.
---
"Thomas, I already told you that it was a mistake" I yelled at him. "But this mistake could have killed you" he yelled back at me. I looked him deep in the eyes before I quietly said,
"Why do you even care?"
He just stared at me with an open mouth and slightly wide eyes. He looked at me like he just got caught stealing something. "I-I don't care about you or anything, i-i could have been dead too, a-and w-when you would have been i-in trouble, t-then I wouldn't have hesitate to save MY ass"
Slowly, a smile made it's way to my face before I spoke up again,
"You're lying" I whispered.
"I d-don't lie'' he said quietly. "You do, because every time when you lie, you stutter thomas" he slowly approached me. Probably a habit of him. As he stood right infront of me, he looked me right into the eyes. He basically looked me right into the soul before he said,
"I didn't lied and I don't care about you. When you would get killed, then I would stand next to your corpse and would be sad that I didn't killed you" he slowly said.
And as he said that, I just thought one thing,
Don't fucking cry now y/n, you already know that nobody loves you.
I exactly knew that he hates me, just like I hate him, but I would have never said something that cruel to him. But of course I couldn't stop the tears they were threatening to spill. I looked down at my feet before I quickly wiped the tear away.
"Are you cryi-"
"I hate you" I said before he could finish his sentence. The last thing I saw before I stormed out of the big conference room, was a guilty look painted on Tom's face.
---
I sat silently in my bedroom and thought about a few things,
'I can't', 'I can't fucking like him', 'I can't fucking love him', 'It's impossible'. I thought the entire time. We are enemies since the second we saw each other. We hate each other. We have to, we don't have another option. Why am I even thinking about that? He hates me and I should hate him. But I can't. It's not that I adore this man and would do anything for him, I would just sacrifice my life for him-
Fuck.
I'm head over heels for him.
Suddenly someone knocked on my door.
"Come in" I said. Suddenly Tom came in, wearing a tight white button up shirt and dark blue dress pants. He looked so unbelievably hot but at the same time he was my enemy. I thought about his messy hair and rosy cheeks and red lips, they look so fucking soft, I would love to kiss them and touch his body-
"You good y/n?" he asked as he sat down next to me on the bed. And of course he had to spread his legs and fold his hands.
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" I answered quickly. God I'm so done.
"I wanted to apologize for what I said earlier, so… I'm sorry"
Did he just seriously apologized? Wow.
"It's okay, you were right" I said with a tiny but sad laugh. "You were right" he suddenly said. "What do you mean?" I said while I looked at him. Tom got up and stood now infront me.
"I do care about you"
"What?"
"You were right, I lied. I really care about y/n, and I'm sorry that I treated you that way"
"Seriously?" I got up now too and stood right infront of him. He just nodded quickly before he said,
"yes, uhm, that's it, I'm gonna go now, by dollface" he said with a tiny smirk before he left the room.
"fuck off" I laughed while I made my way downstairs.
---
"I hate work" I quietly whispered to myself while I buried my head in my hands desperately. Suddenly the door opened and Tom walked in. "Get out of here" he said without any sign of kindness. "What?" I asked with a laugh. "I think you heard me princess, out. of. here" I stood up from my chair and scoffed before I walked over to him.
"No" I said with a tiny grin.
"No?, darling I'm in charge here, okay?, so you're gonna walk out of this room and let me do my work that I have to do, alright?" he said pretty seriously. I shaked my head with a smile painted on my face. "I don't wanna drag out of the room y/n, c'mon" he said with a hint of anger in his voice but I shaked my head and he scoffed. "Why can't you just listen for once." Out of nowhere he grabbed my throat and pressed me against the wall behind me. "You're gonna listen to me" he whispered before he went on,
"When I tell you to do something, then your gonna do it, don't you?" he asked while he looked at me. That went right to my pussy.
"And what are you gonna do when I don't want to do what you say?" of course y/n y/l/n tried to push his buttons. "Then it's gonna get a big big mess babygirl" he smiled. He fucking smiled.
"A bloody mess?" I asked with a grin. "No, no, not a bloody mess but a wet mess" he whispered.
"fuck you" I whispered. "oh yes, I'm gonna do that" he said before he crashed his lips on mine harshly. He put both of his hands on my cheeks while I opened his button up shirt and pulled it off of his body. Just a few seconds later he pulled my shirt off and threw it to the side. "You're eager, aren't you?" I asked while he put his pants off. God his body is a masterpiece.
"Shut up" he said while I put my pants and bra off. "Make me" I said. He looked me in the eyes with a tiny smirk before he picked me up and laid me down onto the table. He went down on his knees infront of me and pulled my panties down my legs before he started to give tiny kitten licks to my already wet pussy.
"Fuuuuck" I whispered before he started to really eat me out. "Fuck daddy" I cried out. "Say that again" Tom said before he sucked on my clit and flicked his tongue over it afterwards. "Oh my God, please daddy" I cried out even louder. He flicked my clit with the tip of his tongue so fast and good that I came quickly.
"FUCK, your gonna make me cum" I said quietly while I arched my back. But after he made me cum, he didn't stopped. He went on with flicking the tip of his tongue quickly over my sensitive clit. I started to wiggle away from him but he grabbed my legs and put me back in place again. "Shh, just a little bit more" he whispered. Suddenly he spit right on my pussy and collected the spit with two fingers before he shoved his wet fingers into my pussy. "Oh my g-god, please" I stuttered out.
He started to pump his finger faster and faster and after a few seconds he found the spot that made me go crazy. "Ahhh fuck daddy please, please, please" I screamed.
"Come for me doll, come for daddy" he said while he looked me in the eyes. You heard right. He looked me in the eyes while he ate. me. out.
"FUCK" I yelled as I came for the second time on his tongue and fingers. After he cleaned me up, he stood up and looked at me.
"You're gonna be a good girl and take my cock?" he asked. "Yes Daddy" I answered back quietly. "Good girl" he whispered in my ear before he pulled his boxer down and started to enter me. "oh fuck" I quickly cursed before he started to ram into me mercilessly.
"So fucking tight, such a good girl, just for me, right?" I just nodded with my head before my eyes rolled into the back of my head quickly. Suddenly he put his hand on my throat again and lightly choked me. And fuck was that good.
"Feels so good d-daddy" I whispered. He put the thumb of his other hand on my clit and started to rub it quickly.
"OH MY GOD" I cried out really loud. "Take it, take it, take it" tom spat quietly. "I'm gonna cum daddy" I told him. He went even faster, with his cock and his thumb. And then my orgasm washed me while I screamed as loud as I could while tears were running down my cheeks.Tom shut his eyes tightly and let out a tiny 'fuck' after he came. But I couldn't even notice more before I blacked out.
---
I woke up in my bed, but I could remember exactly what happened yesterday in the conference room. The worst thing is, I still like, no, love this man. How? I honestly don't know. He just makes me… weak.
I threw my work clothes on and went downstairs into the conference room to see if my father was there but the only person that was in the room was the one and only Tom of course.
"Oh, hello darling" he said politely.
"Hello?" I said but it kinda sounded more like a question. "Are you okay?" he asked me. I just nodded with my head before I made my way to the door again but Tom's hand on my wrist stopped me immediately. "Can we talk?" he suddenly said pretty shy. I just nodded again while I turned around to face him and leaned back against the door. "What's up" I said. What the fuck y/n?! Why would you say 'what's up'? You exactly know what happened yesterday and you can't change it. Neither of you can. What you two didn't knew is that neither of you too wanted to change it.
"Can we maybe talk about last night?" he suddenly said. "Yeah, yeah of course, what about last night?" I asked quietly. "I-I, fuck, I don't know how to say that-" but before he could finish his sentence, I interrupted him,
"You think it was a mistake and you asked me to forget it and to not mention it ever again because you hate me and that was just a stupid one night stand thing for you" I told him. He just stared at me for multiple seconds before he opened his mouth and spoke up,
"No"
"What do you mean with 'no'?"
"y/n, I know how I treated you and how rude and cruel I am to you, but that what we did last night wasn't a damn one night stand" he said calmly. "What was it then to you?" I asked him.
"What was it to you?" he asked me back. I had to swallow before I answered,
"I don't think that it meant the same to you as it meant to me" I said quietly while I looked at him. He let out a tiny laugh before he said,
"It meant a lot to me" hold on what did he just said?!
"What, s-seriously?" I asked with already glassy eyes. I just dreamed right?
"Y/n, when I told you that I would save my ass and that I would be happy when you would be dead, then I didn't meant that at all. I care about you, a lot actually and I would rather sacrifice my ass to save yours" he said with a tiny laugh.
I slowly approached him and asked,
"You are not lying?"
"I'm not lying"
As soon as he said I leaned forward gave him a tiny peck to test if he really wants that, and yes he does, he leaned forward and kissed me properly on the lips while he put of his hands softly on my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders. He slowly started to walk forward so that i had to walk backwards and backed me up against the wall, at first I thought that we are gonna the same thing like last night but he just put one of his hands on my cheek and looked me deep in the eyes.
"I really like you y/n"
"I really like you too"
He kissed my forehead gently before we went on with our little make out session.

"Tom, no!" I yelled at him. "Why not?!" he yelled back loudly. "Because, when my dad is gonna catch us in the conference room then we are both dead and you know that!" I screamed at my boyfriend.
Tom wanted to make out in the conference room, that my father is probably gonna enter soon. "Who gives a fuck about him" he yelled back at me. "Tom, how do you think my dad will look at us when he sees us not sliding each other's throats!, What do you think is he gonna do huh?!"
"But we are together y/n, we are in a relationship and we are fucking adults so we are allowed to do that! We love each other!"
"In this world is no place for love Thomas!"
Silent.
I instantly regret what I said. I looked at him and I could already see tears building up in his eyes.
"So you don't love me?" he asked quietly and unsure. "No! That not what I meant. Tom, it's just that this world wasn't made for love, okay? I know that we love each other, you love me and I love you, so so so much tommy but this world that we are living in is dangerous, okay?" I told him before I slowly approached him. I put my hands in his hands and gave him a small but gentle peck on the cheek.
"I love you" I whispered.
"I l-love you too darling" he said quietly.
"I'm so sorry for what I said, I hope you forgive me" I said while I laid my head on his chest. He is always so warm and caring and gentle with me.
"Yeah baby, I forgive you" he said with a tiny smile on his gorgeous face. "Thank you" I answered before I pecked his nose. "I'm gonna take a shower" I said quietly while I looked him deep in the eyes. "Mind if I join?" he asked with a smirk. "Not at all… " I slowly leaned forward to whisper in his ear and said,
"daddy"
Before I could even blink, he threw me over the shoulder and made his way to the bathroom.
---
"Fuuuuck babygirl, you take me so well" he whispered while I tried to take his entire member in my mouth. And fuck was that hard because he was so big. Suddenly he started to thrust his hips and I gagged loudly. "You can take it kitten, I know you can" he spat quitely. Tears were rolling down my cheeks as I gagged around him, but It was so fucking hot and rough Tom is the best thing you can get. "Fuck, I'm gonna cum, I'm gonna cum" he said while he shut his eyes. After he came, I swallowed everything and then I stood up and we got out of the shower. He grabbed the back of my neck tightly and turned me around. Our noses touched while he looked me deep in the eyes. "You're mine, understand?" I nodded with my head quickly before he spoke up again,
"That was a great shower don't you thing doll" he said with a huge grin on his face after he let my neck go slowly. I just rolled my eyes before I started to dry my body with my towel. But before I could take my brush to brush through my hair and get the knots out, tom took the brush from my hand and started to gently brush my hair while he stood behind me just in a Calvin klein boxer and grey sweatpants. He gently brushed through them while I watched him in the mirror infront of me. "Mhhmm" I moaned with a tiny smile written on my face. "Don't moan or I'm gonna take you right against the counter princess" he slowly whispered into my ear while he still brushed gently through my hair. "sorry… daddy" he just scoffed before he gave me the 'warning gaze'. I started to laugh and he put the brush aside to grab the lotion. "Are you laughing at me?" he asked with 'fake shook' on his face. "Sorry bubu, your just so sweet" I said between laughter. "You're even sweeter my love" he answered as he applied some lotion on my back and slowly rubbed it in. "That feels good baby, thank you" I said. "No, thank you" he told me while he looked in the mirror where our eyes met. "For what?" I asked with a tiny smile. "For being the best girlfriend ever" he whispered before he gave me a small peck on my temple. I smile before I answerd,
"I love you so damn much Tommy" he rubbed his hands slowly over my shoulders before he spoke up,
"I love you too princess" I used to hate this name, but now I love it.
---
I sat in my room, crying silently on my bed all alone. To have a dad that is just focused on the mob and basically didn't gives a single shit about his own daughter Is hard and it fucking hurts. But luckily i got a caring boyfriend that should be here any minute-
"Hey babygirl, what's wrong?" he asked as he came into the bedroom. "Is it your dad again?" he added after a while. I just nodded with my head before I started to let more sob's out. "No, no, no, you know that I don't like it when you cry princess" he said as he sat down next to me and pulled me into his chest. He hold me tightly in his arms before I spoke up,
"I'm s-sorry" he just looked at me before he said,
"For what?" I looked at him briefly before I looked down at my lap again. "For i-interrupting you t-tommy"
"No, no, there's nothing to be sorry about, okay? I love you and I'm gonna be here for you, you understand?" I nodded with my head quickly before I looked him deep in the eyes. Suddenly he pulled me on his lap so that I straddled him and laid both of his hands on my hips. We both looked at each other's lips briefly before I slowly leaned in and captured his soft lips in a gentle kiss. "I" kiss. "love" kiss. "you" kiss. "so" kiss. "much" kiss. I laughed at him before I kissed his forehead gently and said,
"I love you too so much"
"Can we cuddle?" I added. Tom laughed before he answered,
"Of course darling, anything for you"
I laid down while Tom laid behind me and he threw his hand around me and pulled me into him. "Good night Tommy" I whispered. "Good night baby" he whispered back before we both fell into a deep but wonderful sleep.
---
It was the worst day of your life. Tom was kneeling on the ground, I stood behind him and my father stood infront of us with his gun pointed at me while I had my gun against Tom's temple. Yes, you heard right. Tom's fucking temple.
"Kill him y/n, prove your father that you are strong enough to lead the mob, just like me princessa" my father told me while tears started to build up in my eyes. My father found out about Tom's and my relationship. He went crazy, he freaked out and yelled at us and went absolutely mad. I saw a lot sides from my father already, but not this one. And it kinda made me shit my pants. He demanded me to shoot Thomas so I could prove to him that Tom would be a bad influence for me and the mob. The things is that I would rather die that kill my own fucking boyfriend. Only problem, my father doesn't care.
"You k-know that i-i can't father" I whispered while tears were rolling down my cheeks. "Just do it y/n, it's okay, we had a great time didn't we?" Tom slightly laughed but then I could hear him sob. My father just laughed before he spoke up,
"That's no love that you little kids have, that's just some random bullshit, shoot him" he answered with a laugh. Tom swallowed and I couldn't stop the tears. We both couldn't. "I love you princess, so much" Tom whispered quietly. I just shaked my head while I let sob's out and looked at my dad again. "I don't give a-a fuck a-about the m-mob anymore, I love t-Tom and when you c-can't accept t-that then I'm really sorry" I quietly said. My dad laughed before he said,
"Wait, what do you mean with 'then I'm really sorry' y/n?" he asked.
"I love Thomas, and I fucking hate you" I said before I shot my father in his right shoulder. Tom closed his eyes tightly but when I put both of my hands in his cheeks he opened them again. "Are you okay?" Tom asked me quickly. I nodded with my head before I hugged him tightly. "I'm so sorry baby" I shaked my head quickly and answered,
"No, I'm sorry"
"No, you shouldn't be, I'm supposed to protect you, to protect you from situations like that doll, but I didn't and I'm so sorry" he said quietly. "It's okay Tommy, I love you" "I love you too" he said before we shared a loving kiss. After that, Tom and i got up and went to my father who was laying desperately on the ground.
"Fuck you daddy" I told him.
"Why p-princess, w-why" he weakly asked. Before I could response, Tom spoke up,
"By the way, your daughter calls me daddy too" he said with a wink. And those were the last words my father heard. The best last words even in my opinion. I laughed at my boyfriend before he picked me up and ran towards the bedroom.
"What are you doing?" I asked between laughter. "Oh, I'm just gonna make you beg, scream and cry, okay?" he asked. And as soon as I heard these words I was screwed.
"Yes daddy"
"Good girl"

Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner
Pairing: Tom Holland x Reader
Synopsis: since your mom doesn’t like Tom, she invites your ex boyfriend to dinner and tries to set you up
Masterlist
“Does this tie make me look thick?” Tom asked as you set the table.
“We’ve been over this. “Thick” does not mean what you think it means.” You chuckled and went to fix his collar. “The tie looks fine. Stop worrying.”
“I don’t know.” He frowned at his reflection in the mirror. “I should change.”
“You’ve changed six times already.” You reminded him. “Your outfit looks great. You have nothing to worry about.”
“Yes I do.” He insisted. “It’s my first American thanksgiving with your family. I want to impress them.”
“You will.” You assured him. “It’ll be fine. The food tastes good, the decorations look great, and we’re wearing complementary colors. Everything will be fine.”
“You’re right.” He decided. “I just worry about your mom. She doesn’t like me very much.”
“Debbie doesn’t like anything very much.” You sighed. “Don’t worry about her. She’ll probably be too busy pointing out my flaws and short comings to notice you.”
“Okay.” Tom nodded. “Wait, that sounds like a bad thing.”
“It’ll be fine.” You said through a forced smile. Then, as an after thought added, “Just don’t mention the time we hooked up on the London Eye.”
“How would that even come up?” Tom furrowed his eyebrows.
“I don’t know. But if it does, don’t let it.”
“What about the engagement? Are we telling them tonight?” He asked as he rubbed your arms.
“Not yet. I’ll tell them on my own time. You know how my mom is.” You frowned as you slid your ring off your finger.
“Yes. A hater. Of me.” He said under his breath.
“She doesn’t hate you.”
“For the sake of our impending marriage, we shouldn’t lie to each other.” He said as he tapped your nose.
“I’m sorry.” You laughed apologetically and pulled him into a hug. “My dad likes you if that’s any consolation.”
“Does he?” He questioned. “He just pats my shoulder and then puts on a football game.”
“At least he remembers your name. He doesn’t know who half my friends are. But he always asks me how you are.”
“That does make me feel better.” Tom realized. The doorbell sounded in the house suddenly, making you both jump.
“They’re here.” You gasped. “Oh God. I need a drink.”
“Do you want me to get you some water…” He trailed off as he watched you down a shot of vodka without flinching.
“Okay.” You clapped your hands. “I’m good.”
Tom watched as you plastered on a fake smile, went to the front door, and opened it.
“Happy thanksgiving!” You greeted your parents. “Come in, come in.”
“Happy thanksgiving, honey.” Your mom said as she hugged you. “Op! Feels like you already ate a thanksgiving feast. Getting a little chubby there, huh honey?”
“Oh wow. Right away. Tom?” You looked at Tok for help and he was quick to the rescue.
“Debbie.” Tom smiled at your mom. “Thank you so much for coming. You look beautiful.”
“Yes. And you look very…comfortable.” Debbie said with an uneasy smile. “You should lose the tie. It makes your head look enormous.”
“Yes ma’am.” Tom mumbled as he yanked his tie off. You looked up at the ceiling and counted to ten to calm yourself down.
“Okay. Tie gone. Happy Thanksgiving, sir.” Tom said as he shook your fathers hand.
“Happy thanksgiving to you too, Tom.” Your dad said. “Do your people celebrate it?”
“Dad.” You said warningly.
“No.” Tom laughed. “But I’m happy to celebrate it with Y/n.”
“Excellent. TV in here?” Your dad patted Toms back before heading towards the living room.
“Debbie. Can I take your coat for you?” Tom offered.
“Have you washed those hands recently?”
“Um, no.” Tom said slowly.
“I didn’t think so.” Debbie scrunched her nose at Tom before turning her back to him completely.
“You’ll never guess who I ran into at the airport.” She beamed as she took your hands.
“I don’t know. Who?” You asked, hopes high for a civil conversation.
“Leo!” She gushed. “From high school.”
“Leo Montez?” You asked. “Oh, wow. I thought he moved to Canada.”
“He didn’t. He saw me and gave me a big hug, which is so sweet. Not a cold handshake like I’m some salesman.” Your mom chuckled as she side eyed Tom. “He and I talked the whole plane ride here. He’s such a gentleman. And he’s just as cute now as he was back then.”
“Who’s Leo?” Tom wondered.
“Nobody significant.” You shrugged.
“Don’t be silly. There is no one more significant than your first love.” Your mom said as she looked at Tom.
“Than your first who now?” Tom raised his eyebrows. Your mom looked proud of herself as you buried your face in your hands.
“You haven’t told Tom about your first boyfriend?”
“No, mother. I haven’t.” You said through clenched teeth.
“How come? You were so in love with Leo.” She continued. “I always thought he would be the one you ended up with.”
“Yes, I know. You never fail to remind me of that.” You smiled weakly and clenched your hands into fists.
“Sorry, going back to the “first love” statement.” Tom laughed awkwardly. “Who is Leo exactly?”
“He was my boyfriend in high school.” You said simply.
“Don’t sell him short.” Your mom playfully smacked your arm. “You obsessed with him. I remember you telling me he was the man you were going to marry. You had the wedding all planned out, right to the date. I have never seen you adore anyone the way you adored him. Even to this day.”
Tom felt jealously bubble in his tummy as your mom expressed how much you loved some other guy. You, on the other hand, blew out a shaky breath as you tried not to strangle your mom for bringing up your past relationship in front of Tom.
“Mom.” You warned as you glared at her. You knew what she was doing and it was driving you crazy.
“She used to stay up with him all night on the phone. I could never get a hold of her when they were together. She was always off one some romantic adventure with him.”
“If by “romantic adventure” you mean getting ice coffee and walking around Target, then yeah. He was a real charmer.” You said sarcastically.
“You two were so perfect together.” Debbie gushed. “I bet that magic is still there.”
“It’s been ten years, mom. I doubt he even remembers me.” You dismissed her.
“Of course he does.” She insisted. “He could not stop asking about you on the plane. And when I showed him your picture, he asked if you were single.”
“Which prompted you to show him my picture, I’m sure.” Tom laughed awkwardly, trying to remind your mother of his existence.
“It’s not polite to interrupt, Tom.” Debbie’s tone changed immediately as she shot daggers at Tom.
“Mom, why don’t you go get a glass of wine before dinner?” You suggested in an attempt to get rid of her.
“Sounds good.” She squeezed your arm and left the room. You shook your fists in frustration once she left before going over to Tom.
“Soooo.” He drew the word out. “Sounds like you have a lot of history with this Leo guy. I get the feeling your mom wishes you were with him and not me.”
“Tom, I’m so sorry.” You sighed and wrapped your arms around him. “I know I never mentioned him before but honestly forgot all about him until now. I had no idea she was going to bring him up.”
“It’s not your fault.” He said as he hugged you back. “But how do you forget your first love?”
“It was high school.” You shrugged. “It wasn’t real love. Not like what we have.”
“I guess I just feel weird that I haven’t heard of him today.” Tom answered honestly.
“Because once I met you, I forgot the names of the boys from my past.” You said as you cupped his face. “None of them mattered anymore. What I had with them is nothing compared to what I have with you.”
“Really?” He smiled hopefully.
“Really.” You promised. “I love you. I haven’t thought about Leo since I was 16. I’ve been too busy thinking about how I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“I can’t wait either.” He said. “But just so we’re on the same page, how many “boys from the past” are we talking about here?”
“Don’t worry about it.” You waved your hand. “It’s not like you’ll ever have to meet any of them.”
The doorbell rang again, making you and Tom look at each other in confusion since you weren’t expecting any other guests.
“I’ll get it!” Your mom called and came back into the room.
“Who’s that?” You wondered.
“Leo!” Your mom cheered as she opened the door.
“Leo?!” You and Tom gasped in unison.
“Oh, I didn’t tell you?” Your mom asked coyly. “I invited him for dinner.”
“No, you did not tell me that. Seems like a really important detail to leave out!” You raised your voice as you gripped Toms hand.
“Come on in. We’re so happy to have you.” Your mom gushed as she welcomed Leo inside. All Tom could see was a taller, stronger, more attractive man that you used to be in love with.
“Are we?” You squeaked. “Are we happy?”
“Wow. You look as lovely as ever. I can honestly still say that you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen.” Leo told you as he pulled you into a hug. You weakly hugged him back as you held eye contact with Tom over his shoulder. Your mom watched the two of you hug and let out a happy sigh.
“He used to say that all the time in-“
“In high school.” Tom cut your mom off. “Yeah. I got it.”
“It’s nice to see you too, Leo.” You lied as you quickly stepped out of the hug.
“I’ve actually been thinking about you a lot lately It felt like fate when I saw your mom at the airport.” Leo continued. “I mean, what are the chances I run into your mom at the airport?”
“Pretty high. Since this is a small town with one airport and it’s a holiday.” Tom spoke up.
“I’m sorry-“ Leo began.
“You will be.” Tom mumbled.
“Who is this?” Leo pointed to Tom. “I don’t believe we’ve met.”
“We haven’t.” Tom said as he held out his hand. “I’m Tom.”
“Leo.” Leo firmly shook his hand. “How do you know Y/n?”
“I know Y/n from being her boyfriend.” Tom said as he put an arm around you.
“Oh.” Leo raised his eyebrows. “I’m sorry-“
“You’re will be.” Tom mumbled.
“I didn’t realize you were seeing anyone.” Leo continued. “Your mom said you weren’t tied down.”
“Yeah. Seeing as I’m not a bouncy castle, I’m not tied down at all.” You said as you gave your mom a stern look. “I do, however, have a boyfriend.”
“Oh. How nice.” Leo nodded as he narrowed his eyes at Tom. Tom looked at you in fear and you wrapped your arm around his waist.
“Mom, you didn’t mention that I had a boyfriend before you invited Leo to my home without my permission?” You asked through a fake smile.
“It didn’t come up.” She shrugged.
“My long term, serious boyfriend didn't come up?” You raised an eyebrow. “The one I’m hosting dinner with? Whom I share a home with? He wasn’t mentioned?”
“No.” She said simply. “I guess I didn’t realize you two were serious.”
“We’ve been together for three years.” You reminded her.
“Must’ve slipped my mind.”
“Wow.” You said sarcastically. “That’s amazing coming from the woman who remembered every single detail about my high school boyfriend.”
“Be polite.” Your mom whispered. “We have guests.”
“I know we have guests.” You said sweetly. “I’m just a little annoyed that some guests were invited without my knowledge.”
“Do you think she’s talking about me?” Leo whispered to Tom.
“I wanted it to be a surprise.” Your mother shrugged. “I thought you’d be happy to see him.”
“Oh, I’m definitely surprised.” You replied through gritted teeth.
“Me too.” Tom added.
“Quiet, Tom.” Your mom hushed him as your father came back into the room.
“Dad, did you know about this?” You asked as you nodded towards Leo.
“Know about what?” He asked.
“That mom invited Leo.”
“Who?” Your dad furrowed his eyebrows.
“Hi again, sir.” Leo stepped forward and held out his hand.
“Have we met?” Your dad asked him, making Tom hold in a laugh.
“Yes.” Leo smiled tightly. “Several times.”
“Honey, you know Leo.” Your mom cut in. “He dated our daughter all throughout high school.”
“Hm. I don’t remember.” Your dad shook his head before shooting a wink at Tom.
“Well personally I’m feeling a lot better.” Tom smiled to himself.
“I think we all just need some alcohol in us. I bet that will get the party started. Y/n, let me get you some wine.” Leo offered.
“I’m good, thanks.” You smiled tightly and took a step closer to Tom.
“No, let him go. I need to speak with you for a minute.” Tom smiled at your family before pulling you into the next room.
“Why is he here?!” He whispered harshly once you were alone.
“You’re asking me?!” Your eyes widened. “I’m just as confused as you are.”
“Get rid of him!”
“How?” You whined. “It’s thanksgiving. I can’t just kick him out on the street.”
“You’re right.” Tom agreed. “You can’t.”
“Okay.” You nodded.
“But I can.” He declared and went to leave the room.
“Wait!” You pulled him back. “We need to go in there with a plan.”
“You’re right.” He nodded. “The plan is I kill him and you visit me in jail.”
“Thomas.” You warned.
“He’s your ex-boyfriend.” He whined. “And your mom likes him more than me. He needs to be eliminated!”
“I don’t want him here anymore than you do. But his dad died in high school and I know he doesn’t have a good relationship with his mother. He probably has nowhere else to go.”
“I’ll give him a place to go.” Tom mumbled.
“Don’t say a gr-“
“A grave!” He shouted.
“Calm down.” You cupped his face. “Let’s go in there and make it clear that we’re in a committed relationship. That’ll at least put an end to the flirting.”
“And if it doesn’t, I’ll put an end to his life.” Tom nodded along.
“Okay. Sure. That.” You waved your hand. “I just hope we can get my mom off my back too. She always does this. Not this exactly, but stuff like this. This happens every holiday. She pushes my buttons until I lose my cool at her and we end up screaming at each other, all while my dad is totally oblivious.”
“I know she makes you angry.” Tom sympathized. “But this could be our chance to show your mother how strong of a couple we are. Then, we’ll get her blessing for our marriage.”
“I don’t want her blessing. I don’t even want her to be there.”
“Her blessing is important to me. I just her to like me. This could be the night I finally get through to her.”
“It doesn’t matter if she likes you. I love you.” You reminded him. “That’s all that matters.”
“Aw.” He smiled softly before kissing you.
“Also, she hates you.” You said quickly once you pulled away.
“What?”
“I’m sorry.” You whined and buried your face in his neck. “I don’t want to yell on Thanksgiving. I just wanted a peaceful holiday.”
“I’ll make sure you have that.” He said as he rubbed your back.
“You will?”
“Yes. Just as soon as I smite Leo.” He said sweetly. “And if you feel the urge to yell at your mother, just squeeze my hand instead.”
“Fine.” You sighed. “I’ll make you a deal. If I can get through dinner without getting into a screaming match with my mom, you’re allowed to kill Leo by the end of the night.”
“Works for me.”
“As long as I get to kill my mother as well.” You added quickly before leaving the room.
“I feel like we should discuss that further.” He called after you as he followed you into the dining room.
“Hi.” You greeted your family with a fake smile. “Thank you all for coming. Tom and I are so excited to host this year.”
Tom pulled your chair out for you as took a seat at the end of the table. He sat beside you with Leo and your mother sitting across.
“Everything looks amazing, Y/n.” Your mother complimented.
“I love the napkin art.” Leo said as he held up his neatly folded napkin.
“Actually, Tom did that.” You said.
“What an interesting use of your time, Tom. Making origami out of napkins while my daughter cooks a feast. Alone.” Your mom said as she sipped her wine. You and Tom exchanged a look and you gave his hand the first angry squeeze of the night.
“I didn’t cook alone, mother.” You tried to stay calm. “Tom also made the mashed potatoes.”
“They’re a little gummy.” She said as he poked them with her fork.
“Mom.” You scolded as you gripped Tom hand under the table.
“It’s okay.” He assured you. “Thank you for the advice, Debbie. I’ll do better next year.”
“No one likes a kiss up, Tom.” She smiled tightly. “And who knows? Maybe next year, Y/n will be cooking with someone else.”
“Why would I be cooking with someone else when I already have a cooking partner?” You asked with a huge fake smile.
“Because you’re current cooking partner over cooked the asparagus.” She replied with the same smile.
“Well.” You dramatically dropped your fork. “How dare he? Call the police. Get this criminal out of here.”
“The turkey is delicious, honey.” Tom spoke up. “You did a great job.”
“Thank you.” You relaxed a little and sat back in your chair.
“Leo was telling me about his new job on the flight here. Why don’t you tell her, Leo?” Your mom suggested.
“Oh, it’s nothing really.” He shrugged. “I was just offered a position at the leading company for duel legged denim over garments in the United States. I run oversees sales.”
“Duel legged denim over garments?” Tom repeated.
“Yes.” Leo replied.
“So, jeans?” Tom asked, making you snort back a laugh.
“We don’t really use that term anymore. It’s pretentious.” Leo said as he narrowed his eyes at Tom.
“Totally.” Tom sarcastically agreed.
“What do you do for a living, Tom?” Leo asked, never dropping his death glare.
“You’ll laugh.” Your mom prefaced. “He plays dress up for a living.”
“Actually, he’s an actor.” You corrected her. “A really good one.”
“Have I seen you in anything?” Leo wondered.
“Maybe. I play Spiderman in the Marvel movies.”
“Hm.” Leo shrugged. “Never heard of that.”
“You haven’t heard of marvel?” You asked skeptically.
“No. I’m not really into those interpretive indie films. I like real cinematography that makes you use your brain. Have you guys heard of Quentin Tarantino?” Leo looked around the table, making you face palm.
“I wouldn’t exactly call Tom’s films indie.” You said under your breath.
“No one would. It’s Marvel.” Tom backed you up. “It’s literally a four billion dollar company. How much is your double trouble denim under - whatever they’re called company worth?”
“First of all, it’s duel legged denim over garments. It’s not that hard.” Leo snorted. “And we don’t believe in numbers. They’re pretentious.”
“That’s right. And Tom, it’s not polite to talk shop at the dinner table.” Your mom cut in. You rolled your eyes at the ceiling and gave Toms hand another frustrated squeeze.
“Would anyone like more mashed potatoes?” Tom tried to change the subject.
“Not me.” Your mom mumbled as she she side eyed Tom.
“I’ll take some.” Leo spoke up. Since you were closest to the bowl, you picked it up and put some on his plate.
“Thank you so much, darling. I hope we can get a minute alone at some point. I’d love to catch up.” He smiled at you, making sure your hands touched as you put the bowl down.
“I’ll give you something to catch.” Tom said sweetly.
“Yeah?” Leo challenged him. “And what’s that?”
“These hands.” Tom whispered harshly as he leaned across the table. You pushed him back in his seat a little and rubbed his back to calm him down, not wanting a fight to break out.
“So, how long have you and Tim been together?” Leo asked as he watched you soothe Tom with an unamused expression.
“It’s Tom.” You said flatly. “And we’ve been together for three years.”
“Wow.” Leo shrugged before taking a long sip of his wine.
“What?” Tom asked, not liking his tone.
“Nothing.” Leo replied. “I’m just surprised she lasted that long. Y/n and I broke up a hundred times in high school. She never liked to settle down.”
“Well you haven’t known me for ten years.” You reminded him. “I settle now.”
“We’ll see.” Leo said smugly.
“We’ll see?” You raised your eyebrows.
“Yeah. We will see.” Leo repeated.
“See what?” Tom asked.
“How long this lasts.” Leo said as he pointed to you and Tom. “Which, to be honest, I don’t think will be very long.”
“I was thinking the same thing.” Your mom added. “I think we all were.”
“How can you say that?” You asked them. “You don’t even know us.”
“But I know you.” Leo insisted. “And you never stay committed to things for long. You definitely didn’t stay committed to me.”
“Whats he talking about?” Tom asked you.
“I’ll tell him.” Leo said before you could speak. “Y/n and I planned to do long distance when we went off to college. But less than a week after graduation, she dumps me over text.”
“Y/n.” Your mom gasped. “Over text?”
“I was a kid.” You defended. “I didn’t have the guts to do it in person. Is that really so bad?”
“That’s not the worst part.” Leo continued. “I thought we could fix our relationship when we came back home for thanksgiving break, only to find out she was dating Cory Fisher.”
“So what?” You asked. “He lived on my block and was in my intro to economics class. We started dating months after you and I broke up.”
“Question, does he still live on your block?” Tom spoke up. “And will he be joining us tonight?”
“I don’t know. You’ll have to ask my mother since she loves to invite people from my past without warning.” You said as you glared at your mother.
“Forgive me for thinking you’d be happy to see the man who gave you the greatest relationship you ever had.” Your mom replied. Tom sadly looked down at his lap, but you weren’t finished yet.
“Funny you say that.” You faked a laugh. “I was very happy to see Tom this morning when I woke up.”
“I was talking about Leo.” She sighed. “You two were such a great couple. Don’t you remember all the good times?”
“I do.” Leo chimed in. “Remember when I won you that giant teddy bear at the carnival?”
“I’ve won Y/n a hundred teddy bears.” Tom stated.
“Yeah.” You backed him up. “And a goldfish.”
“Well I took Y/n to the prom.” Leo continued.
“I’ve taken her to multiple movie premiers.” Tom replied. “Even Boss Baby 2.”
“Family Business, bitch.” You added.
“I was her first kiss.” Leo retorted.
“And I was her most recent.” Tom said. “As I have been, for the past three years and will be for the rest of her life.”
“Rest of her life?” Leo scoffed. “Are you sure about that?”
“Oh, I’m positive.” Tom insisted.
“Turkey is great, honey.” Your dad added between bites.
“Leo used to take Y/n out on all kinds of dates. But he always had her home before curfew. Such a gentleman.” Your mom cooed as she rubbed Leo’s arm.
“I do love a gentleman.” You agreed. “You know, I haven’t opened a door for myself since the day I met Tom. He always does it for me.”
“Remember the long walks we used to take on the beach?” Leo changed the subject.
“I hate the beach.” You grumbled.
“And all the sunsets we watched together.” He continued.
“She hates sunsets.” Tom lied.
“Hideous things, really.” You agreed. “I find them absolutely disgusting.”
“You used to love them.”
“I used to love a lot of things that I don’t love anymore.” You quipped.
“Wow.” Leo nodded, unamused. “You’ve changed.”
“We’re supposed to.”
“Y/n.” Your mother scolded.
“Debbie.” You matched her tone.
“Be nice.” She said in a sing songy voice.
“I am. I haven’t said half the things I’ve thought of saying.” You replied in the same way as you gripped Toms hand.
“Squeezing my hand a little tight there, love.” He wheezed as you crushed his fingers.
“Sorry.” You quickly let go. “Can we have a family meeting in the kitchen?”
“But we aren’t finished eat-“
“Now.” You cut your mom off as you stood up.
“Excuse us.” Your mom squeezed Leo’s arm before following you out of the room.
“You won’t win.” Leo said once he and Tom were alone.
“Oh. My bad. I wasn’t aware there was a competition.” Tom played dumb. “It didn’t seem like there was.”
“Debbie invited me here because she knows that Y/n and I are meant to be.” Leo continued. “We always found our way back to each other in high school. We can do it again.”
“No you won’t.” Tom said. “She and I are in love. You and your jeans won’t change that.”
“Don’t call them that.” Leo whispered gravely.
“What? Jeans?” Tom asked. “Jeans, jeans, jeans!”
“Shut your mouth!” Leo slapped his hand on the table.
“Shut yours!” Tom yelled back.
“It’s only a matter of time before Y/n realizes she’s supposed to be with me.” Leo laughed maniacally. “By the end of the night, I’ll have her eating out of the palm of my hand.”
“Oh really? What’s the matter? Are forks too pretentious?”
“As a matter of fact, we only use bamboo utensils at our company. It’s better for the environment.”
“I have a feeling beating the shit out of you is gonna be real good for my environment.” Tom smiled sweetly.
“I took her virginity.” Leo whispered harshly.
“Well you can have it back. Because I’m sure that snoozefest is nothing compared to what we do. I’ve broken two hotel beds. And one dresser.” Tom whispered back.
“What are you boys talking about?” Your mom asked as you all came back into the room.
“I was just telling Tom a cheeky story about the time Y/n and I went to see a movie but didn’t watch the movie.” Leo snapped back into his sickly sweet attitude towards your mom.
“Oh. Leo.” Debbie laughed and patted his arm. “What a bad boy.”
“Y/n and I had sex on the London Eye.” Tom blurted.
“Tom!” You exclaimed before giving him a high five. “Nice one.”
“How dare you talk about my daughter that way at the dinner table?” Your mom gasped.
“He did it first!” Tom pointed to Leo.
“It was charming when he did it. Honey, say something to Tom.” Debbie said to your dad. “He’s being fresh.”
“Tom.” Your dad said sternly.
“Yes sir?” Tom gulped.
“Excellent asparagus.” Your dad smiled.
“Thank you, sir.” Tom smiled back.
“They’re delicious. I can’t get enough.” Your dad said as he reached for the asparagus.
“Let me give you a hand with that.” Leo grabbed the pan and handed it to your father. “The man of the house shouldn’t have to lift a finger.”
“I wasn’t gonna.” You said flatly.
“Oh. Such lovely manners, Leo.” Your mom gushed.
“Thanks, Debbie.” Leo grinned.
“Of course, Leo. You’ve always been like a son to me. And who knows? Maybe one day, you’ll be my son in law.” Your mom shrugged. Tom looked at you sadly, and that was the last straw.
“Are you kidding me?” You yelled as you abruptly stood up from your seat. “Are you actually kidding me?”
“What’s the problem?” She played dumb. “I’m just expressing my admiration for Leo.”
“Enough, mom.” You protested. “I am not going to let you disrespect my relationship anymore. I am with Tom. I am always going to be with Tom.”
“You don’t know that.” Your mom insisted. “Things could change.”
“I do know that. Because Tom asked me to marry him.” You blurted, making the room fall silent.
“You did what?” Your mom asked after a minute. “You asked without my permission?”
“Yeah, he did. It hurts when people don’t ask for your permission, doesn’t it?” You asked her. “But he didn’t need to ask for your blessing. We don’t want it. I can’t wait to marry him and I don’t care what you have to say about it. You’re not even invited.”
You stormed out of the room after your outburst, leaving everyone in stunned silence. You came back in after a minute and grabbed the pumpkin pie.
“I’m taking this.” You hissed before leaving the room again. Awkward silence filled the room in wake of your outburst and Tom felt desperate to fill it.
“Would anyone like some cornbread?” Tom weakly offered to the group. When he we met with nothing but unamused glares, he excuse himself and ran after you.
“Darling?” He asked when he found you sitting on the ground in the dark kitchen, eating the pie you had taken while crying.
“Hey.” You said with a teary eyed mouthful.
“How’s the pie?” He sighed as he sat down beside you.
“It’s really good.” You sniffled. “Did you bake it?”
“Honestly darling, I had my brother Sam cook all the things I “made” and drop them off this morning.” He admitted.
“Normally I would be mad that you, but this pie is really good.” You started to cry again as you took another bite.
“Are you okay?” He asked as he rubbed your back to comfort you.
“No.” You whined. “I totally lost my cool and yelled at my mom. I’m so embarrassed. I can’t imagine what you’re thinking right now.”
“I’m thinking that my fiancé is really brave. And that she could only be poked so many times before she fought back.”
“Really?” You said as he wiped your face.
“Of course.” He told you. “I’m also thinking about how proud I am that you stood up for us. We went in there planning to show your family what a strong couple we are, and that’s exactly what you did.”
“You’re not mad that I embarrassed you?”
“I’m not embarrassed. Why would I be embarrassed of having such a cool wife?” He asked with a smile.
“I love you.” You said as you pulled him into a grateful hug.
“I love you more.”
You hugged each other tightly, only pulling away when you heard someone clear their throat. You looked up just as your dad sat down beside you and Tom.
“Oh, hi dad.” You said as you wiped your face.
“I sent Leo home.” He told you. “He’ll be fine. Turns out, his company doesn’t pay him that much and he’s been living with his mom.”
“Bless his heart.” You blew out a breath.
“Your mother would like you to go back in there so she could apologize.” He continued.
“Why should I go back in there?” You sighed. “So she can diss my relationship some more?”
“Maybe.” He answered honestly. “But this time, you’ll have another player on your team.”
“What do you mean?” You wondered.
“I came out here to give Tom something.” Your dad said as he held out his closed fist.
“Is it a rock?” Tom asked hopefully. Your dad chuckled softly and opened his hand.
“It’s my blessing.” He explained as Tom shook his hand. “Not that you need it. But I wanted you both to know how happy I am that you found each other. I haven’t always paid the most attention. And I’ve never been very observant. But I did notice one thing.”
“What’s that?”
“This man right here loves my daughter.” Your dad said as he smiled at Tom. “And if you let me, I’d love to come to the wedding.”
“Someone has to walk me down the isle, right?” A happy tear slid down your cheek as you hugged your father.
“That’s right.” He smiled as he hugged you back. He opened his arms suddenly to include Tom in the hug as well.
“Thank you, sir.” Tom said into the hug. “Your approval means a lot to me.”
“You always had it.” He replied. “Unlike that clown your mother brought. He used to walk on our carpet with his shoes on.”
“What an animal.” You chuckled.
“Come on.” Your dad said. “Let’s go finish the meal.”
The three of you went back into the dining room, where your mother was sheepishly sitting by herself at the table.
“I would like to apologize.” Debbie said as she stood up.
“Go on.” You folded your arms.
“I should not have brought Leo here without your permission.” She continued. “I shouldn’t have brought him here at all.”
“Thank you for admitting that.”
“I know it was wrong of me to try to push you and Leo back together.” She admitted. “I just missed when you used to have to ask us for your boyfriend to come over. Now, you ask us to come over to have dinner with your boyfriend. Every thing just happened so fast. When did holidays become the only time I see my family? I don’t understand it. One minute, I was driving your first day of school and now you’re getting married.”
“Kids grow up, mom.” You said softly. “I’m not a little girl anymore.”
“I know.” She sighed. “I guess I thought setting you up with Leo would keep you in your hometown, closer to your father and I. Leo is familiar. I don’t really know Tom at all.”
“Because you never gave him a chance.”
“If I may.” Tom cut in. “I know you always tell me it’s not polite to interrupt but-“
“Go ahead.” Debbie smiled fondly at him.
“I went to school for carpentry but I’ve always preferred a more creative work environment.” Tom began. “I like to golf, especially when your daughter tags along and cheers for me. I’m not much of a reader but I read all of the books your daughter keeps beside her bed. Even the instruction pamphlet for her watch so I can fix it when it runs out of battery.”
“What are you doing?” You whispered.
“I’m pitching myself so your mum can get to know me.” He explained. “Let’s see. I like to go for runs when I need to clear my head. I hate cilantro. I can’t cook but my brother is one hell of a chef. I’ve got three brothers actually, and my youngest worships the ground your daughter walks in. Seriously, she has been the best baby sitter my family has ever seen. My dads a stand up comic, but not the kind that just talks about how much the hate their wife. My mum goes out for tea with Y/n every time she’s in London, whether I’m there or not. I never raise my voice or shout at your daughter. I wasn’t raised that way. I don’t like corner pieces of cake. I never pass up an opportunity to pet a dog. I love those American cookies that are pink and green and yellow. And the most important thing about me is that I will do every thing in my power to make sure your daughter lives the rest of her life feeling safe, comfortable, wanted, important, and loved.”
“Wow.” Debbie sighed. “I may have misjudged you, Tom.”
“You think?” You mumbled.
“Let her speak.” Your dad told you.
“I’m sorry I’ve been so cold to you. But when I see the way my daughter looks at you, I know she’d follow you anywhere. And that’s exactly what I’m afraid of. You whisking her away and us never seeing her again.”
“I’ll always bring her back.” Tom assured her. “You just have to create a home environment that she feels comfortable coming back to. You don’t have that right now. I honestly thought she was gonna kill you with the turkey baster tonight.”
“I was.” You admitted.
“He’s right.” Debbie realized. She walked over to you and took your hands in hers, giving them a soft squeeze.
“I’ll do better.” She told you. “I promise.”
You looked over at Tom and watched him nod before looking down at your enjoined hands.
“We were gonna go to the mall tonight to see if we can get some Black Friday deals for the wedding. Do you want to come, mom?”
“I would love to.” She beamed and pulled you into an apologetic hug.
Soon enough, dinner was resumed as you all sat around the table. Without Leo there, you were able to catch up with your family as they properly got to know Tom.
“I’m just glad Leo left.” Tom sighed at the end of the meal. “I’ll tell you what I’m not thankful for this holiday season. That guy.”
“Cheers to that.” You clinked your drink against Toms. “I forgot how annoying he was.”
“I didn’t.” Your dad sighed.
“I’ll miss him.” Your mom admitted. “But I’m delighted to have Tom join the family.”
“Me too.” You leaned in to kiss Tom’s cheek. “But I won’t miss Leo. He deserved getting dumped over text.”
“Totally.” Tom agreed.
“And I’m glad I cheated on him with Cory Fisher.”
“Yeah.” Tom agreed. “Wait, what?”

through the tears T.H.
warnings : child birth, cursing
summary : reader goes into labor, and the grandparents meet the baby !! (requested)
word count : 1800
i wrote this like months ago lmao but enjoy
Any day now, you had told yourself. Any day. Of course, you were nervous, and quite frankly kind of terrified of the baby Holland coming. Weeks into your third trimester, you and Tom couldn't be anymore prepared, and the preparation of the baby coming made you forget that she was actually coming.
You were watering the plants on the shelf in the living room. You were due any day now, and you were as ready as you could be. Maneuvering around some leaves, you started to pull the pot a little closer for easier access, but then you felt something leaking down your leg. Looking down you realized your water had broken.
Oh shit, here we go.
And then, Tom came in, a phone in one hand and a notepad in the other.
"Hey, love. Do you think we should go with the first model or th-"
But when he glanced up to look at you, you were slowly turning around, eyes wide and jaw slack.
"Love? Are you alri-"
"My water just broke."
You were making your way to the car now. Tom was grabbing the emergency bags, for you and the baby, making sure his wallet and phone were with him before he started the engine.
"Try to stay calm. Remember the breathing exercises we learned? In and out, in and-"
You had groaned in pain at the first, very minor, contraction. Though it was one of the less painful ones, it was still an unfamiliar feeling, and you weren't used to it.
"Almost to the hospital, love."
"Thomas slow down! We might get pulled over or something!" You said, a small smile on your face, grinning through the pain.
When you arrived at the hospital, Tom jogged in to let them know of your situation, and two nurses came out, one with a wheel chair and the other with a clipboard. They were wheeling you in and keeping you updated, asking you very few questions before letting you know that your doctor was preparing for your labor.
"You're the husband?" She turned to Tom.
"That would be me," he said.
"The cervix is still opening at the moment, but once it's wide enough we can start the process. We won't know for certain how long this could take, but at this rate it'll probably start within the hour," she informed him.
Tom was wide eyed at the mention of the cervix opening, but he nodded nonetheless. Then, he was back by your right side. You were laying in the bed, legs spread as the hospital gown was covering most of you. You were sweating, panting, and reaching for Tom.
"I'm right here, love. How're you feeling? You're gonna do great, angel."
"I'm-" you took a breath. "I'm alright. Hurts like a bitch though."
He laughed at you before kissing your hand and giving it a reassuring squeeze. He leaned down to your ear to whisper a few words. "I'm gonna make a few calls. I'll be right back, angel." And then he kissed your shoulder and speed-walked out into the hallway.
He was ringing the landline to his parents, in hopes that word would spread and he would only have to make one call.
"Hey," Tom spoke first, testing the waters for who picked up.
"Hey, Tom? It's Harry. What's up?"
"Uhm, Y/N's water broke and we're at the hospital right now."
"Holy shit! What?" Harry screamed, excitement and nervousness evident in his tone. "Are yo-"
"Harry, you're gonna make me more nervous. Please, just tell mum & dad so they can get here. I need to go."
"Right yeah, of course."
"Thanks, bro."
"Anytime."
Tom sighed in relief, and he was about to hang up before Harry spoke up again.
"And, Tom?"
"Yeah?"
"Congrats, man."
Tom was starting to tear up. It wasn't everyday that him and his brothers had a heart-to-heart moment, and the realization of becoming a dad made it all the more emotional.
"Thanks, Harry. I'll see you soon, alright?"
"Yeah, man. We wouldn't miss it."
***
"Mum? Dad?" Harry called out, grabbing his phone and his wallet before heading in what he hoped was their direction.
"Yes?" Nikki answered, drinking tea from her mug as Dominic sat across from her.
"Y/N's going into labor. We need to go now."
The mug made a clattering noise from the small drop onto the table. It didn't break, but it sure did surprise both boys. And then, she was calling the rest of the Hollands and loading them into the car.
*** Harrison had arrived first, finding Tom's duffel bag on the floor in the hallway outside your room.
"Hey, Tom!" he said, walking in.
"Oh man -- hey, Haz."
They did a quick 'bear-hug' before making eye contact.
"You're about to be a dad."
"I know," Tom said, his voice more nervous than Harrison had ever heard.
"And you're gonna be great."
Once again, tears were welling up in Tom's eyes. But before he could continue the conversation any further, a nurse was coming up to Tom, almost disregarding Harrison's presence.
"Mr. Holland?" she asked.
"Yes?"
"Your wife is ready to go into labor, now."
The boys made brief eye contact, Harrison understanding, and he left the room to wait in the waiting-room chairs.
"Hey, love," Tom said, reaching for one of your hands, which you gladly gripped and squeezed.
"Thomas where the fuck have you been?" You whined, sweat coming out profusely and covering the entirety of your neck and face.
"I'm right here, darling. I'm not leaving, okay?"
"Get ready to push, Y/N," your doctor said from between your legs, interrupting your brief conversation with Tom.
Your husband had kissed your forehead, whispering encouraging words as you squeezed his hand for push number one.
"You're doing great love," Tom said, looking to the nurses for confirmation, to which one of them gave him a thumbs up. "I love you so much, Y/N. You're doing amazing. You're gonna push again, okay?"
You let out a loud groan, more like a cry and scream of pain and effort.
The doctor had felt your stomach over the hospital gown, mumbling something to the nurse beside her, before speaking up. "Last push, Y/N."
You groaned, attempting at one but failing.
"Just one more, love. Can you give me one more?" Tom said gently.
"I can't. I can't!" You cried, falling back onto the pillows.
"Just one more, baby. You're so close, and you've been doing great. Last one, darling. Okay? One more for me."
You nodded, hair sticking to the back of your neck as you squeezed his hand harder then ever. With a loud grunt, it was over, the baby successfully out as a nurse cut the umbilical cord. You fell back into the cushions as Tom went to look at his babygirl for the first time ever.
The nurse who was holding her smiled at Tom before letting him know they were going to wash up your baby.
Tom had taken a cold, damp towel and wiped your face. He got a new one to completely dry it off, before kissing your forehead and your hand. "Did so well, love. I love you so much."
"I love you, Tommy," You had managed to get out.
Less than ten minutes later, she was in your arms for the first time. Your gown was pretty low on your breasts, so the skin-to-skin was breathtaking. Tom was crying now, looking at his two girls and thanking whichever gods gave him you.
And then you were handing the baby over to Tom. Tom held her gently, like she was the most fragile being in the world.
He gasped through his tears. "Just like her mum."
"She's got your eyes, Tommy."
"Nonsense, darling."
You had breathed out a laugh, looking at Tom and your baby before letting one last tear fall.
"God I love you so much," you said.
"I love you. Both of you, so much," Tom had replied.
His phone had chimed in his pocket, and he was handing the baby back to you.
"What... what're we going to name her?" Tom asked timidly.
"Scarlet?" You said.
"After.. my grandmother?" Tom said, more tears forming.
"Yeah," You smiled softly.
"I like that," Tom said. "I like it a lot," he laughed through his tears. "Scarlet Leslie Holland?"
"Leslie," you repeated in a whisper. "Leslie," you whispered again. "Scarlet Leslie Holland."
"Yeah," Tom whispered back.
"I love it a lot."
Tom had kissed your forehead again before making his way into the hallway, where both sets of parents and siblings were waiting.
"Well?" Nikki said first, standing up as everyone else stood behind her.
"Do you want to meet her?"
*** The room was large, enough to fit everyone, thankfully. Upon entering, Nikki was first to catch a glance at you and her granddaughter, and the sight made her gasp, a hand to her mouth as tears formed quickly, falling just as fast.
"Oh, Tom. She's beautiful."
"They are, aren't they?" Tom said, standing on the other side of your bed as he watched his family's reaction.
"Do you want to hold her?" you asked, sitting up.
Nikki nodded, coming over and carefully taking the baby from you. She was in awe, cooing at the youngling while you whispered something to Tom about where your parents were.
"They said they'd give my family some time alone, first.. you know how your mum is: always the polite one," Tom whispered back.
You laughed before nodding. You turned back towards Nikki and the baby, silently watching them, as was Tom.
"Oh, Y/N," Nikki said. "She has your eyes."
"You see, love?" Tom said, smiling.
"She's so beautiful," Dominic confessed. "You two really... you two did really good."
"Thanks, dad," Tom said, a blush spreading on his cheeks.
"What's her name?" Paddy asked.
You glanced at Tom, smiling bashfully before replying. "Scarlet. Scarlet Leslie Holland."
"Scarlet," Nikki whispered, just as you had with Leslie.
While Nikki and Dominic were preoccupied with the baby, Harrison had made his way over to the two of you.
"Tom," Harrison said.
"Haz."
"You're a dad now," He said, his green orbs watering.
"Yeah," Tom said, laughing while stray tears fell.
"I'm so proud of you, man."
"Thank you, H."
"You know, Harrison," you cut in. "You're gonna be a pretty awesome godfather, don't you think?"
Tom looked down at you and smiled. He had let you choose who the godparents would be, and it warmed his heart to know you had chosen Harrison.
"Wait-" Harrison said. "You're serious?"
"Yeah," you said, laughing.
And then, the two boys were hugging and crying.
When they broke apart, Harrison spoke again. "I feel so lucky to have you three."
Each of Tom's brothers had a chance to hold the newborn, each one crying tears of joy and feeling immense pride in being apart of yours & Tom's journey.
And then, Scarlet was back in your arms. You cradled her close to your chest, cherishing the feeling of her fresh skin against yours, the sweet smell of her new life starting, and you smiled through the tears.

Not sure if you are taking request at all but if you do, do you mind writing something about Harry agreeing to be the birth photographer at the birth of his niece (tom and reader’s daughter) 🥺🤍
this was so interesting!! personally I am way too self conscious to have a photographer when I *eventually* have a kid aha, but I hope this is what u were looking for x x p.s. coming at my brand w the white hearts :)
tomholland x reader
summary: harry gets terrified by toms request about the birth of his child, but the reader smoothes it over
Having just had a round of golf with Harry, Tom invited him back to yours for a cuppa and a catch up too. After all the years of living and travelling with Harry by his side, Harry in particular was massively important to TOm. Especially since he’d moved in with you, Tom constantly made a super special effort to spend as much time with him as possible. Harry had a key and had no quam with letting himself in uninvited. Though since he had walked in at *the wrong time* a bit too frequently, and then the announcement of your pregnancy - he had cut down the unexpected visits.
“So, I actually wanted to ask you something.”
“This does not sound good” Harry furrowed his eyebrows together, looking suspiciously at his brother as he poured the kettle into the two matching ‘Brothers Trust’ mugs.
“Since when? I only ever ask you to do good things?”
“We both absolutely know that is not true.” Harry deadpanned, pointing to the palm of his right hand which carried a large scar. Scar in question had been sustained during one of Tom’s incredibly ‘good’ aka stupid ideas.
“Right fair… I’ll allow that.” He receeded, placing the two mugs onto the counter in front of Harry. All it took was one look at the pale brown colour for Harry to turn his nose up, shooting Tom a look as though he’d just murdered a puppy. The elder of the two sighed, knowing exactly what his brothers snobbiness was about.
“Seriously?”
“It’s not your fault your awful at this, some people just aren’t born with it.” With a sarky pat on the back Harry rounded the counter, pouring the freshly brewed but slightly too milky tea down the drain - before flicking the kettle on to make his own brew… properly this time.
Tom knew his brother well enough to know not to argue or protest, instead perching on the counter as he watched Harry work his ‘magic’.
“But seriously me and Y/n have been talking about the birth cos you know, it’s not too far away now.” This was true, you were now only 3 weeks from your due date - but going by the size of you, you were ready to pop. Quite literally, you didn't know how much longer you could last.
“I’d be concerned if you weren’t mate.”
“Well yeh and I basically um … had the idea to get a photographer for the birth right? It’s quite an American thing but I don’t want to forget anything and I’m sure it’s gonna be magical.” In response, Harry slowly turned around, empty mug in hand and eyes fierce.
“Are you fucking stupid?!”
To be fair to Harry, that had pretty much been your reaction when Tom first suggested it - word for word. He’d got the idea from one of the crew he’d filmed his most recent projects with, the guy had been raving about how beautiful it was and once he’d shown the pictures to Tom - he had to agree. Eventually Tom had worn you down to it and actually the idea of being able to save the moment you met your kid for the first time didn’t sound too bad. You had firmly set the boundaries of no photos of your ‘labour face’ and absolutely nothing from the ‘other end of the bed.’
The worry for both of you, as it always was given Tom’s reputation, was privacy. Especially the birth of your child, having a stranger there had you straight refusing, even a friend seemed still a little invasive. It was only when Tom had remembered he had a brother (who you were also incredibly close to) who was handy with a camera. Even if he had no experience with this particular type of photography, Harry was a pretty safe pair of hands for a camera in any situation. God knows he’s had enough practice at it.
“No hear me out, Y/n agreed too-“
“Of course this was your idea! So she’s totally fine with me staring at her fanny through a camera lens?”
“Harry” That was a warning tone, which the frizzy haired boy chose to completely ignore.
“No I-I mean, you want me to stare at your finances bits? Isn’t that some sort of weird incsest?”
“Shut the fuck up about Y/n’s body. You OBVIOUSLY wouldn’t be taking photos of that end, more like when the baby gets handed to us you know?”
“When its covered in gunk that came out of Y/n?”
“I’m pretty sure they clean it-“
“Not properly!”
Thankfully perhaps, the conversation was interrupted by the kettle clicking off, the water coming to a boil. With a huff Harry turned round, pouring and then stirring the tea as Tom watched his back from a distance. Neither spoke till after Harry finished, returning the milk to the fridge and then leaning against the counter top.
“Look I get it if you dont want to but your the only one Y/n trusts to do it and it means a lot to me.”
“Y/n wants me to stare at her fanny?!”
“No calm down you div. But you are the only one she trusts to be in the room when our first child is born. Will you just think about it?”
Harry opened his mouth to reply, probably protest, but before he could the front door opened and you called through the house.
“Tom? I’m home!” And becasue the boy was whipped he instantly trotted to the front door giving you a peck on your lips. He murmured to you that Harry was there, his lips moving against yours and you nodded with a small smile. You knew, instantly, that Tom in all his idiocy hadn’t handled it well.
“Would you mind getting all the shopping from car? Pregnant and all, so I’m not allowed to lift a finger.” You cocked your head, laughing as he rolled his eyes with a nod.
“I’m excited for when you can't play that card.”
“But then I’ll be the women who pushed a baby out for you… the mother of your child.” Winking, you then quickly moved through the house before he could protest, just knowing he was pulling a pouty face as he watched you sway away.
Once in the kitchen you saw Harry nursing his mug like it was the last drink on earth, hunched over it from where he was sitting on a stool on the breakfast bar.
“ You lose at golf?” Opening the conversation, Harry instantly shot his head up, looking slightly terrified to see you.
“Wha- no, no I didn’t actually.”
“Tom asked you huh?” He nodded, seemingly not wanting to commit with words. “I had exactly the same face when he first told me. It’s weird right?”
“Yeh no shit.”
“He’s really keen on it though, I mean he’s like an excited puppy about the whole birth.”
“But you want it too?”
“Sort of. What I do want is for him to be happy though. And I’m fairly certain he’s gonna be terrified throughout the whole birth while I won’t be in a position to help himl.”
“You’ll probably have other stuff on your mind to be fair.” You laughed, at that, nodding in agreement with him.
“Just a little. I did think though, who is a person who I can trust to look after him too during that... and even I draw a line at your dad… Look if you don't want to, I totally get it and I can’t promise that I won’t be screaming at you during if you do. But it would comfort me to know you were there, with or without the bloody camera.”
“Seriously?” Rather than exclaiming it, Harry whispered in shock, not expecting this sort of a revelation.
“Course H! You're my little brother too.”
“I might pass out.”
“So will your brother, at least he won’t be on his own then.”
“I’ll do it.”
“Thnakyouthankyouthankyou!” You squealed, running over to hug him from the back, arms round his shoulders as he squirmed on the stool.
It was at this point Tom walked back in after unloading the ridiculous amount of baby clothes shopping you had done. Big strong Tom had to take 2 trips up and down the stairs to the nursery. Of course, all it took was a few words from you and Harry was falling at your feat. He was hardly surprised. Annoyingly you seemed to have this power over all the Hollands. They never stood a chance.
It wasn’t till later than evening, long since Harry had left and the dishwasher had been put on after Tom had made a mess cooking you dinner. Only then did your phone ping with a text message from Sam.
Sam H
‘I dont know what you’ve done to Harry but I’m scared, he’s binge watching one born every minute.’
Immediately you cracked up, knowing that it was his nervous energy and need to ‘be prepared’. Tom, who was lying behind you on the sofa whilst his hands caressing your stomach, jerked his head up intrigued as the what the ‘ding’ was. You showed him and he snorted in laughter too, whilst nuzzling his nose into your neck.
“How did you bring him round by the way?”
“Oh you know, I’ve got all of you wrapped round my little finger when I want.”
“That you do… do you think I should be worried?”
“Nah your just all softies.” Laughing softly, you pulled his arms tighter around you, wiggling back into him a bit more.”
“You didn’t tell him about the godparent thing though?”
“Course not… we can give him a separate heart attack about that.”

Cancer Battle
Tom Holland x Sister (with the whole Holland clan)
Summary: The reader is diagnosed with cancer, but decides to keep it from her brothers.
Warnings: angst, cancer treatment, cancer diagnosis, brothers being rude, somewhat of a fluff ending
A/N: I did research on this. I hope I did the correct research. So I apologize if I’m wrong.
MASTERLIST
This has been the toughest two months of your life. Right when you were due to go over to America with your brothers to visit Tom, you noticed swelling in your neck. So did your mum. She set you up a doctors appointment, and two days later, you found out you had Hodgkin Lymphoma.
After talking with your doctor, you found you were in the early stages. It was still treatable and your chances of beating the cancer were very high. That helped you relax a little, but you were still in shock at hearing the words, “you have cancer.”
You wanted to start treatment right away so you told your brothers to go without you. They weren’t happy with you since you wouldn’t give them the real reason as to why you were staying behind. Every Wednesday morning for the next month, you would go with your mum or dad to the doctors office to do your antibody therapy treatment. You really didn’t want to do chemo or radiation unless it got worse, so you decided this was the next best option.
After four weeks of treatment, all of your brothers came home. Tom was disappointed you didn’t come see him, but he knew you probably had a good reason. He decided to come over to your parents house to hangout with you today. Except today wasn’t a good day. You were sick due to the side effects of the treatment. To those who didn’t know about your treatment, they would just think you had the flu. So when you walked back into your room from the bathroom, you groaned when you saw Tom sitting on the end of your bed.
“Good to see you too, Y/N.” Tom said with an eye roll.
“Hi Tom. Sorry. You might want to leave, I’m sick.” You said trying to keep your distance but you were wanting to lie down so bad.
“Mum told me. Can I get you anything?” He asked sweetly.
“I’m okay for now. Dad went to the store this morning.” You replied and motioned with your finger for him to move. He understood and moved toward your door as you went to lie down. You sighed, content when your body hit the mattress.
“I’m going to go downstairs. Text me if you need anything.” You smiled at him. “Get better soon.”
The next few days, you started feeling better. This is how it was every week. Stuck in bed on Thursday and Friday. Moving around more on Saturday and fully back to your normal self on Sunday. Then you would repeat the process again.
This Wednesday though, you weren’t feeling good. It felt like you couldn’t catch your breath. You had a fever and you could tell you had lost at least twenty pounds since your diagnosis. You got up earlier than normal to talk to your mum. When you walked into the living room, you found all four brothers.
“Hey Y/N. You okay?” Sam asked.
Ignoring his question, you looked around the room. “Where’s mum and dad?”
“Dad has a meeting at ten and mum ran to the store really quick. Said she would be back soon.” Paddy said not looking up from his phone. You nodded and turned to go back to your room to lay down until you had to go to your appointment.
“It’s a good thing you're up though. I have a press tour coming up and we are going to Bali. The three of them are going and I wanted to see if you wanted to come. You didn’t get to go last time so I thought you would enjoy it.” Tom said.
“I would but uh..” You looked around trying to think of an excuse as to why you can’t go. “I’m still getting over this sickness. Wouldn’t be good for me to go.”
“Well good thing it isn’t until next month then.” Harry said with a laugh before he turned serious. “Why are you always bailing on us? You missed the last Bali trip. You skipped last minute to go to America. Now you’re trying to get out of going to Bali again. What’s up with that?”
“I just have a lot going on. It’s not that I don’t want to, I just can’t.” You said.
“Harry has a point though Y/N. It’s like you don’t like us or something. You never go out with us when we are in town either and you won’t let us post photos of you.” Paddy said.
You stood shocked. You didn’t know how to respond, but it didn’t matter since it didn’t seem that your brothers were done.
“Can you tell us if we did something to you so we can fix it?” Tom said trying to be the nice brother like always.
“Come on mate. We didn’t do anything and she knows it. She just hates us.” Harry said with a snarl.
“Must be embarrassed by us. I don’t know why. People love us.” Paddy said. Sam agreed with Paddy and Harry. Tom just didn’t know what to do so he just stayed quiet. He wasn’t trying to make you feel bad, but he did feel rejected by you lately.
“I love you guys and I would never be embarrassed of you. I just have a lot going on.” You said. You were getting worked up and it was making it harder to breathe. You turned and started to leave the room. “Tell mum to come to my room when she gets home.” You started to walk up the stairs and ignored the hateful comments your brothers were whispering about you.
An hour later. Your mum came into the room and saw you laying there asleep. She went to push your hair out of your face and felt how hot you were. She immediately started to panic and tried to wake you up. Thankfully you opened your eyes halfway and saw your mum.
“Mum, somethings not right. I don’t feel good.” You whispered.
“Get up honey. We are going to the doctor.” Nikki said in a rush. She went to help you stand when you fell on the ground. Nikki was worried because you couldn’t hold yourself up. “DOM!” She yelled. “DOM HURRY UP! COME HERE!”
Tom thought he heard his mum call for him and he heard the worry in her voice so he sprinted to where he heard her trying to talk to Y/N. He was shocked when he saw you on the floor.
“Tom I need your help. We have to get her to the hospital now. Help me get her to the car.” Nikki said. Tom stayed staring at your almost lifeless body “TOM!” Nikki snapped to get his attention. Tom immediately went into protective brother mode and ran to you and easily picked you up bridal style and carried you down to Nikki’s car. He laid you in the backseat and then he joined you by putting your head into his lap. Nikki ran to the driver's seat and rushed to the hospital.
“Mum, what’s wrong with her?” He asked.
“I’m not sure.” Nikki answered honestly. If it hadn't been for the swollen glands, Nikki would have thought you were healthy as a horse. Now with the treatments, it always pained her to see her only daughter struggling with the illness. Once they got to the emergency room, Nikki started telling the ER doctor everything. Tom paled when he heard the word cancer. He looked up at his mum to see if what she said was true. When the doctors took you in the back to run test, Nikki finally turned to her oldest and saw him shaking.
“Cancer?” He whispered. If Nikki hadn’t been standing so close, she wouldn’t have heard him. She gently wrapped an arm around Tom and guided him to sit in a chair. Tom stayed latched to his mum as he cried for his little sister. “Wha- how- when? When did she find out?” Tom asked many minutes later once he stopped crying.
“Before the America trip.” Nikki said. “She’s been doing treatments once a week since. The treatments make her sick. That’s why you found her like she was last Thursday.”
“I had no idea.” Tom said more to himself. “That’s why she didn’t want to go to Bali.”
“Yeah. She wants to stay home until the cancer’s gone. She has a high survival rate, Tom. She didn’t want any of you to worry. That’s why she didn’t tell you.”
As Tom went to say something a doctor interrupted. “Mrs. Holland, Y/N is in a room now. You can go sit with her while we wait for the results. Since Dr. Hammon is the one treating her, she will be here to overlook her during her stay.” Nikki nodded and grabbed Tom’s hand. They followed the doctor to Y/n's room where she looked so tiny on her bed. She had an IV in and was sleeping soundly.
“We gave her some medicine to bring her fever down. She should wake up soon.”
“Thank you doctor.” Nikki said as he walked away. She turned to Tom, “I’m going to go call your father. Sit with her please.”
“Of course.” Tom said before grabbing your hand and sitting in the chair next to your bed. Tom grabbed his phone with his other hand. He quickly added Harry, Sam, and Paddy to a group text.
T: Hospital. Room 135. Waiting on the results for Y/N. We need to talk.
H: WTF?! Is she okay? Is that where you went. I’ve been looking everywhere for you.
T: Yeah. Had to help mum. Just hurry. She should have everyone here for her.
S: Called into work and got the day off. Will be there soon.
P: Harry and I are on our way too. Be there shortly.
By the time all the brothers arrived, Dom was walking into the room as well. Nikki had already spoken with Dr. Hammon and got the news of why Y/N reacted that way. Nikki decided now was the time to tell everyone the severity of it.
“Okay guys. Y/N wanted to keep this a secret, but I no longer can. She has Hodgkin Lymphoma. Her and I noticed swelling in her neck before she was going to the states so I took her to the doctor. She was diagnosed a couple days later. That’s why she didn’t go with you boys on the trip. She’s been undergoing treatment every week to help kill the cancer.” Nikki said looking at all of her sons. “I just talked with the doctor. The bad news is she doesn’t think the antibody therapy is working. She thinks it would be best to try chemotherapy next so the cancer doesn’t spread. The good news is, the cancer hasn’t spread.”
Dom visibly relaxed at hearing that news. He was thankful you were as okay as you could be. “Did she say why she reacted this way. Why did she almost pass out?” Dom asked.
“She said her body was working in overdrive to kill the cancer cells. Her fever got too high. Now that her fever is down, she’ll be back to her old self.”
“Old self?” Tom scoffed. “Mum she’s been sick more times than she’s been feeling okay. There’s no old self in that.”
“This is her new normal for a bit. Until she defeats the cancer, this is her old self.” Nikki responded.
You groaned and tried to open your eyes. Nikki and Dom rushed to one side as Tom rushed to your other. Tom ran his hand over your head. You turned and slowly opened your eyes and met Tom’s brown ones.
“What happened? Where am I?” You asked, confused.
“Your fever got too high. Me and mum rushed you here. You’re okay now.” Tom said. You turned to see your mum next to you with your dad.
“They know sweety.” She said. You closed your eyes for a second and turned to look at Tom again.
“I’m sorry for keeping this from you.” You said.
“Don’t be. I’m just glad you’re okay now. And I’ll be here every step of the way to help you fight.” He kissed your forehead. The rest of your brothers came up to you.
“I’m sorry Y/N/N for saying you hated us.” Harry said.
“I’m sorry too.” Sam said.
“I’m sorry as well.” Paddy said.
“It’s okay you guys. I’m sorry for not telling you. Just didn’t want you to worry. You guys have a lot going on in your life. Didn’t need to add this to the list of things you were stressing over.”
“We will always worry about you, healthy or not. You’re my baby sister. I never want you to think you have to go through something like this alone.” Tom said.
“I’ll sit with you at treatments.” Harry said.
“I’ll hangout with you when you don’t feel well at home.” Paddy said.
“I’ll make all of your favorites and I’ll make you soup.” Sam said.
You smiled at your brothers and thanked them. You were glad you had such an amazing support group to back you in this fight.

Diabetic
Holland Family X Sister!Reader
Summary: A day at Disney with your family as a diabetic.
Warnings: Diabetes, low blood sugar, fluff, idk probably more.
Reader's age: 14
Original ask: "Tom Holland’s sister where she is diabetic thx"
A/n: Yep! Thank you for the request I hope you like this! Everything I know about Type 1 comes from the Internet, it probably won't be accurate. Sorry I accidentally posted this before I finished it so I lost the ask.
You were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when you were around 6. It was worrisome for your parents, and your oldest three brothers, while you and Paddy didn't really understand how dangerous it really is. Harry, Sam, and Tom were able to better understand seeing as they were 14 and 16. You on the other hand just knew that you brought gummies along with you, each of your brothers also brought a bag of gummies along with them if they were with you, you had an insulin pump, and you were learning how to check the pump along with your blood sugar levels. Your family also learned how. The key was keeping you safe, and while you were still young, it was best if everyone in your family knew how to help. Eventually, Harrison even learned just by watching you and your brothers. Only in a few emergencies did he actually need to help you. Mostly when you were still little.
You were in the states for vacation. Your family was at Disney land. You were currently in the room you, your parents, and Paddy had at the hotel filling your bag up with the necessities for going to Disney, well as a diabetic at least. An autograph book, extra insulin, blood pressure monitor, emergency gummy bears for in case you need to raise your blood sugar, glucose meters and test strips, lancets, alcohol wipes, and a tiny bin to toss your used lancets in, and then two reusable water bottles one with water another with juice. Once it was all in you were ready.
"You ready to go?" Paddy asked walking into the mini kitchenette area of the hotel room. He grabbed one of the small bags of gummy bears stashing it in his pocket. It was a habit he has picked up, he has done it since you were 6. Even now when your able to be responsible for yourself, each of your brothers still find themselves grabbing a bag. Even if they aren't with you.
"Yep!" You zipped the bag up putting it on your back. "Where are we meeting Mum and dad?" You asked him smiling.
"The lobby. Tom, Harry, and Sam should be waiting there too. You have everything?" He asked.
"Yep! Let's go!" You grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the hotel room. He laughed making sure the door was locked before following you to the elevator.
"Slow down Princess!" He exclaimed.
"Speed up slowpoke!" You mocked sticking your tongue out at him.
"Div!" You rolled your eyes clicking the button.
"See you got here." You crossed your arms.
"I did." He rolled his eyes. You laughed walking into the elevator.
Once downstairs your family were all in the lobby waiting for you two.
"You got everything?" Nikki asked you. You sighed, that was the most frequently asked question in your house.
"Yes mum."
"Gummies? A juice just in case?" She interrogated some more.
"Yep and Paddy grabbed a pack, I have juice in that flask and water in this one." You pointed at the two reusable bottles on either side of your bag.
"And you have extra insulin?"
"Mum I think she's got." Tom came to your rescue. "Did you grab the autograph book I got you though?"
"Yep! It's all in my bag!"
———
The day was going great, you met multiple characters, you went on multiple rides. Right now you were standing in line for Splash mountain with Tom and Harry. You shuffled a bit feeling dizzy. You leaned on Tom as you grabbed your bag off your bag.
"You okay?" Harry asked.
"Yeah I'm just dizzy." You stated, grabbing your glucose meter, and Lancet.
"Maybe you should sit down. At least on the floor?" Tom asked you. You nodded moving forward in line before parking yourself down on the ground. "How's your blood sugar?"
"I haven't checked yet." You mumbled before pricking your finger with the Lancet, then putting your finger on the glucose meter. After doing so you sucked on your finger and looked at the meter.
"Well?" Harry asked you.
"I'm fine always am." You assured before taking a sip of your juice
then grabbing your gummy bears.
"Mate that doesn't mean we aren't going to worry. You sure you can go on the ride?" Tom asked you watching you eat a handful of gummy bears before rolling the pack closed and shoving it into your bag again followed by your glucose meter
"Yeah." You smiled putting your lancet in the designated trash bin that is in your bag. Tom helped you up and moved in line. You took a swig of water before putting both water bottles in their original places.
"Maybe after the ride you should head back to the hotel. I'll come with you." Tom offered. Luckily you guys were staying at a hotel in the park.
"Fine." You mumbled.
———
Nikki smiled walking into your's and Paddy's bedroom in the hotel room. You were curled into a ball laying up against Tom who was asleep on his side in the direction of the tv that was playing a move of some kind. They had come to get you and Tom to go out to dinner.
"Get up." She said quietly shaking the both of you gently.
"Morning mum." Tom mumbled tiredly.
"It's 6pm darling." She said.
"Oh. Y/n get up." He shaked you a bit.
"Go away." You mumbled rolling away.
"Don't make me do it." Tom teased. You peaked at him, glaring at him before going back to sleep. "You forced my hand." He stood then picked you up over his shoulder.
"Put me down!!!" You screamed kicking him. He laughed setting you down.
"I warned you."
"Whatever." You grumbled grabbing your bag and following your family out of the room.
Tom laughed giving you a big smile. "Her Majesty is cranky." He said as you glared at him. What other way would you want to spend a day at Disney than with your brothers.

Thanks in advance if u decide to write this!💕
thank you so much love!! i took forever on this i’m sorry :( please enjoy
-
“you’re dating who?” paddy gawks, harry snickering at him from across the table. tom leans back in his chair. “y/n y/l/n. you’ve heard of her, haven’t you?” he clasps his hands behind his head. “i’ve seen all her movies at least twice. i… i love her!” his youngest brother beams. “so do i,” tom playfully challenges.
“darling, you should bring her by tomorrow. sam’s cooking us dinner,” nikki suggests with a supportive smile. hearing his name mentioned, sam peeks up from his phone. “since when?” “since your brother has a girlfriend he’s only just told us about!” she nudges tom’s shoulder. tom bites back the grin growing on his lips. “a girlfriend he loves, at that.”
“he’s not the only one,” harry comments and glances at paddy, whose whole face has gone red. “i guess i could whip something up. i’m visiting the shops later,” sam agrees with a nod at tom. he winks back. “thanks, mate.” turning to his mom, tom’s own face gets warm. “sorry i haven’t said anything, mum. we’ve been trying to keep our relationship on the low. dating in hollywood is…”
“a shit show,” nikki finishes for tom. her words make him chuckle. “exactly. we wanted to make sure we were ready before bringing in the rest of the world.” eager as ever, paddy speaks up again. “i think we’re the perfect people to start with, specifically me.” that earns a quirked eyebrow from tom. “easy there, padster man.” he looks him over, trying to figure out his motives. “if i didn’t know any better, i’d say you were trying to steal my girl.”
paddy points at him with a glint in his eyes tom has never seen. “you don’t know any better.”
the family gets back to their conversation, talking about what you’re like and how their dad’s gigs are going. tom is a bit distracted, though. he isn’t sure what paddy meant by that. realistically, he knows he won’t be stealing you away. there’s a huge age gap among other things. it seems to tom like paddy has a crush on you, a big one. he’s probably just excited to meet you. that’s good, right?
tom doesn’t think about it again until arriving back at his parents’ the next day. you’re with him this time, nervously clutching at your purse in one hand while your free one squeezes his. he frowns at your fidgeting.
“y/n… they’re gonna love you, sweetheart,” he assures you, his thumb stroking the back of your hand. “how do you know?” you wonder as you two walk up the steps. “because i love you, and i think paddy’s got a thing for you as well.” he’s smirking when he tells you this. scoffing, you curl into tom’s side. “i love you too, but what’s up with paddy?” you stand next to tom on the porch. he rings the doorbell before replying.
“he’s watched your whole filmography, all your interviews,” tom explains, shaking his head lightheartedly. “i’m sure there’s a poster or two of you in his room somewhere.” you pout your lower lip out. “aw, so he’s a fan?” “he’s my competition,” he jokes. your head falls onto tom’s shoulder with a sigh. “he’s a literal child, tom… and your brother.” you glance up at him wickedly. “maybe i can sign his posters. i think he’d like that.”
tom slips his arm around your waist, hearing footsteps come towards the door. “oh, paddy would be thrilled,” he confirms. your response is a hum as the front door swings open. “tom, darling. back so soon?” nikki teases her son, then gives you the warmest grin. “you must be y/n. we haven’t heard much about you, but we will.” you return the smile and let her take your hand to guide you inside.
after all the introductions, you gather outside to sit and talk. sam is in the kitchen cooking, nikki is helping him, and harry is setting the table. that leaves you with tom and paddy. they’re on either side of you, your head on tom’s shoulder and his arm around both of yours. paddy is talking about a school project while you nod along. he’s completely harmless, contrary to how tom described him.
“the deadline is next friday, but i’ve only just started,” paddy explains, you laughing softly. tom’s lips brush your ear. “i’m gonna look for something to drink. do you want anything?” he speaks in a whisper and trails his fingertips over your shoulder. “sure, tommy. whatever you’re having, thanks,” you reply with a kiss to the back of his hand. paddy clenches his jaw as he watches you two.
“what about you, pads? soda?” tom teases and earns a giggle from you. “i told you not to call me that,” paddy groans back. he scrunches his face up when tom reaches over you to ruffle his hair. “someone’s got to put you in your place. soda it is.” “don’t take too long.” you tilt your head back to look at tom. “i won’t.” he licks his lips before pressing them to yours, trying to deepen it form the angle.
“children are present,” you remind him, sitting back up promptly. “be a good boy and get our drinks.” “ok, fine. i’m going,” tom laughs out, pecking your cheek and standing from the couch. paddy rolls his eyes when his brother finally gets inside. he hates being thought of as a child by you, even if he is one. “so,” you start to fill the silence. “what else are you-“
“i think you’re an incredible actress,” paddy says instead with an innocent smile. “really? thank you so much.” you rest your head in your hand, grinning. “tom kinda told me already. he said you’ve seen all my movies.” “did he?” paddy repeats bitterly. he’d probably made him sound obsessed. you’re still grinning. “mhm, and that you might have posters of me.” his eyes widen, cheeks flushing a deep pink. he’ll never let tom in his room again.
“between you and me…” you look behind you to make sure tom isn’t coming. paddy scoots closer to you and nods. “i think tom is a little jealous.” “he should be,” paddy mumbles to himself. that doesn’t stop you from hearing. “what are you-“ “how about you help me with my project? i could use the extra hands,” he smoothly changes the subject. must be a holland thing.
“let’s wait until after dinner. tom is gonna be back soon, anyway,” you try to reason. you’re only fueling the fire by saying that. “i need to use all the time i have. come with me!” he’s grabbing your hands before you can protest again. you end up following paddy to his room, tom still sucked into a conversation with the rest of his family. harry sees you two pass by. he murmurs a div to paddy.
when tom gets back outside with two beers and a coke, you and paddy are gone. he frowns, heading to the kitchen once again.
“has anyone seen y/n?” he wonders and scans the room for you. “i think paddy stole her.” “they’re in his room. he just brought her up,” harry replies, his lips forming a line. a bit of anger bubbles in tom upon hearing this. “dinner is nearly done!” nikki gasps. “bring them back down,” sam requests. setting the drinks on the counter, tom sighs. “will do. give me a minute.”
tom’s annoyance only grows as he ascends the stairs. he can hear your giggling from behind the bedroom door, obviously caused by paddy. it’s silly that he’s so jealous of his baby brother, but he knows him well.
the door opens to reveal you laying stomach down on the floor and paddy on his bed. you’re autographing a picture of yourself while he gets books together for his assignment. tom isn’t sure what he was expecting, though he’s relieved this is all it is.
“oh, tom!” you notice him standing in the doorway and cap the pen. “you were right about the posters, babe.” “i see.” tom clicks his tongue. paddy scowls at his brother. “i can’t believe you told her,” he grumbles, you handing him the signed photograph. “no, it’s fine! i think it’s really sweet.” his face relaxes. “nevermind, then.” he’s now making heart eyes at you, tom inhaling a sharp breath.
“y/n/n, can i talk to you?” he asks quietly, eyes flitting over to paddy. “in private?” “um, yeah. i’ll be right back, okay?” you tell paddy with an apologetic smile. he shoots you a thumbs up, tom stepping aside so you can leave the room. “mum wants you for dinner in five, actually,” tom corrects. he’s quick to close the door behind him so he doesn’t have to hear complaints.
you’re leaning against the wall, arms crossed over your chest. tom walks up to you cautiously. “what the hell was that?” you squint at him. “i came back with the drinks, and you were gone,” he answers lowly, and not to your satisfaction. “which doesn’t answer my question.” “i… well…” tom huffs childishly. “paddy’s whisked you away! i wanted you to spend the night with my family, yeah?” he sets his hands on your hips.
putting your own hands on both his shoulders, you look at him knowingly. “babe, paddy is your family. there’s nothing wrong with some one on one time.” tom stares down at the floor while rubbing his thumb over your hip. he doesn’t say anything. “so what if he has a little crush on me? he’ll get over it.” you take a step closer to him. “what makes you think that?” tom chews his lower lip.
“he’s just starstruck. and, i’m his future sister in law,” you confidently respond, finally making tom perk up. he exhales a laugh and pulls your body against his, leaving a warm kiss on your forehead. “bonding isn’t such a bad idea after all.” “mm, i told you,” you bury your face in the crook of his neck. paddy leaves his room then, his face falling at the sight in front of him. this time, tom puts his pettiness aside.
“get in here, padster man. we’ve got room for one more.”

summary: peter’s your hero after saving your son
peter parker x mom!reader
w/c 801
The last few patrols Peter had been on had been very uneventful. He was now used to dealing with aliens and weird dads that tried to kill him with dangerous weapons, so petty robberies or lost tourists weren’t anything he’d consider memorable.
But that was all about to change due to the pair walking down the street. He first noticed you because of your beauty, he was basically mesmerised as soon as he saw you heading towards the flower shop, a little boy holding onto your hand.
He felt a sudden need to protect you, even though there was currently nothing to protect you from. He watched carefully as you chatted with the florist, getting out your wallet to pay for a pretty, but small, bouquet of vibrant coloured flowers.
His heart started to race a little bit when the little boy managed to slip his hand away from yours, but it seemed as though he just wanted to look at some of the other flowers he’d seen on the display.
What he didn’t expect was for the child to start heading towards the road, chasing what Peter thought looked like a butterfly, blissfully unaware of the danger that comes from the cars speeding down the street.
He basically leaped into action, swinging down from the building he’d been sitting on until he was on the same sidewalk as you. It was the startled gasps from the people on the street that had you turning around to see the hero standing a few metres away, as well as your son nearly wandering into the road, the very busy road at that.
He shot out a web aimed for the boy's backpack, pulling him away from the road and into Peter’s arms. The child gasped as he looked up at the suit clad man, tears springing to his eyes from the shock of what happened, leaving Peter clueless, unsure what to do.
“Theo, oh my god,” he heard you say, frantically pulling your little boy into your arms. It was silent for a minute as you cooed to the boy, wiping away his tears and letting him know you were there.
Your eyes drifted to the hero standing just a few feet away, a grateful smile tugging at the corner of your lips. “Thank you, so much.”
Peter felt his cheeks flush under the mask, a quiet laugh slipping past his lips. He didn’t think there was any need for you to thank him, this was his job it’s what he does. But seeing your flustered mom state he decided to let it go.
“He uh, he needs to be more careful next time,” he said, trying to continue making conversation with you. You nodded your head, still in protective mother mode as you doted on your son, kissing the five year old’s head as you tried to blink away your own scared tears.
“Is there any way I can repay you?” you asked, feeling indebted to the man. He shook his head, bringing a frown to your face as you opened your mouth to protest. “You really don’t have to.”
mouth to protest. “You really don’t have to.”
You rolled your eyes, standing back up to your full height, making sure Theo was safely tucked into your side. “Name it, I’ll do it.”
You saw the eyes of the mask widen, clearly along with his own and he was silent for a few moments. “Go on a date with me,” he said.
Your eyebrows furrowed, a confused chuckle brewing in your throat. “What?”
He wasn’t sure if he’d crossed the line, trying to stutter out an apology as a wave of embarrassment washed over him. “Y-You don’t have to, I just think you’re really pretty and god you’re probably married and-“
“Okay.”
He paused mid apology as soon as you interrupted him. “Okay?” He asked. You nodded your head with a grin. “It’s the least I can do. After all you did save my son,” you said. “Plus, I’m definitely not married.”
He could feel himself grinning like an idiot, very glad that you couldn’t see it under the mask. “That’s great, amazing even. Um, I should probably get your number then.”
You nodded your head, still keeping an eye on Theo as you pulled out your phone for the masked vigilante, watching as he put in his number and hesitated on what to call his contact. He knew he probably should give you his identity, or else going on a date was going to be very difficult, but he was always left unsure when doing so with people.
“Well, Spiderman-“ He took a deep breath before stopping you, telling you his name in full confidence. “It’s Peter.” He watched as you sent him a warm smile, nodding your head and correcting your words.
“Well, Peter, text me sometime.”
