I’ve tried and failed to learn how to speak a new language. I’ve tried several times and they’ve all ended in embarrassment. I’ve tried French, Italian, Russian, Japanese, and Spanish.

Spanish was my most recent failure and I quit out of shame after I loudly, and proudly, declared that I was an apple.

#I think I may be too stupid #I can barely speak English so there’s no surprise there #it’s like I’m a jar that’s full of holes #you pour water inside and it all drains out but it’s not water anymore it’s coconut juice and I hate coconut #soy una manzana I think was the damning phase #I wanted to learn French because I wanted to move to Canada and thought it would be helpful #Italian and Japanese for cartoons lmao #Russian just because #and Spanish because I thought it would help me find a job easier #but instead it turned me into an apple #I should just abandon speech entirely and communicate in grunts and and chirping #it’s hard to stay motivated to learn when you get made fun of the entire time
