Everyone here on Tumblr who uses things unalive and k!ll only do so to complain about people using it bc yall have never experienced the censorship of tiktok.

I got videos taking down for simply calling characters gay guys. I have to use code words to help get important and actually serious messages out on that app. I mean, sometimes I’m not careful and I get lucky, but you don’t usually get lucky if your important message actually starts to reach a shit ton of people. And you want an important message to reach a lot of people.

I know you all don’t understand because you mainly use fucking tumblr and twitter, but censorship on these other fucking apps DOES EXIST. Stop thinking you are morally superior because you have the ability and right to post what you want uncensored. Not everyone is able to do that.

And I do NOT want to hear people say “well I know many videos where they didn’t censor and it didn’t get taken down” think for five fucking seconds. Were those people white or a man or cis? If not, did the video not have that much reach?? I know you guys don’t know this but it was actually activists of color who started using those code words because they were getting so many videos taken down, and they didn’t want to get banned again. Because on tiktok the amount of followers you have actually matters if you want more people to be steadily seeing your stuff.

And when it comes to important shit you want as many people as possible listening.
