Your thoughts on KOD and BW?
I really like both but last time I played them was in 2013 which is like 8 years ago, so my memories are very very faint. While I played the first Dishonored nine times (16 year old me had time), I only played them once because they are sooo hard, especially if you wanna go for Clean(er) Hands and Ghost. The Slaughter House level is extremely hard to do without killing anyone, I still got Low Chaos at the time but definitely someone died somewhere.
And let me tell you, back then fandom was made of 30 people and we were all recycling the same Martin, Daud and Corvo fics between us. Corvo/Daud and Corvosider were really huge ships, but at the time people really shipped OCs with them and also shipped Martin/Callista and Daud/Callista (I don't remember how they became, I was a teen so I kinda went along with everything). And you can imagine after all of that how excited I was for a Daud DLC.
I also remember that even though I was in love with Dishonored, it bothered me that there were not many female characters, and the ones that were there were maids, courtesans, a child or dead. So seeing Lizzy and the Dead Eels, the Brigmore Witches and Billie in KOD and BW was amazing for a 16 year old girl really into this franchise. So I sort of loved the DLCs a bit more than the base game in a way, because I loved Daud and I wanted more female characters in different roles. I still remember one of the Outsider shrine dialogues by heart even though I don't think I've heard it for the last 8 years (the one where he tells Daud that he is walking a tightrope over a sea of blood and filth and the water is rising + Billies comments and I really loved that shrine dialogue. Like when he says at the end "You're running out of rope" it always gave me chills).
So I am planning on replaying them now, I am just taking my time with the main game for a 100% Ghost + Clean Hands clear because I have OCD, but once I do I might have more comments on the plot now that I am a lot older. But for 16 year old me who really liked Daud, Dishonored and more female characters, these two DLCs were the best thing ever.
