Hanahaki Disease
Hanahaki is a disease in which a character coughs up flowers growing in their lungs due to unrequited love. It increases in pain as the character falls deeper in love with the other, and can often be terminal. A common cure is to forcibly remove the flowers, causing one to either lose affection for the other, or lose their emotions entirely.

Literally do exactly what Isabelle says. More fences? Add more. Flowers? Add more. Sometimes it’ll feel like you have a ridiculous amount but just keep doing what she says. Too many trees? Start removing them. With big things like that I like to remove/add one at a time then go talk to her again. She alters the rating as you make any changes. Also make sure you don’t have too much stuff dropped outside (max is 14 items). That includes items dropped on tables or stalls. - @hiddentalentcountsfornothing
ah ok ok I know we had followed her advice for a while but it felt like we were going in circles so we just kinda... stopped? ^^; I had heard some people say they did their own thing and didn’t listen to Isabelle and still got a good rating, so I was a bit confused on that. I’ll keep that in mind tho, thank you!
Polygon has a really good webpage on how to get to 5 stars, with exact numbers for trees, flowers, and bridges/inclines. - @atardisoutoftime
omg duh xD for some reason I keep forgetting to actually check up guides on this sort of thing, so I’ll be sure to take a peek!
Flowers just plant a lot. it should help as they accumulate points as they grow. Tree points top at 190 if I remember the yt vid right. put fish and bugs out to display if you want. Try to put nook miles furniture items out as theyre worth more points i think. - @metaorigin
Do you have lots of flowers? And hybrid flowers? Cause I know that helps a LOT. Oh and fences!! Isabelle loves her fences... for some reason xD - @ash-grimmy
also, this may sound like a backwards tip, but just place items outside even if u dont like them very much, even if its just a placeholder for when u get the item u want, bc in the meantime that one item can still help up ur rating :) - @meereltjuh
got some flowers throughout the town - pretty sure there’s some hybrids in there! the flowers end up filling a lot of the walking space on the map tho, so as of right now, we’re only able to plant them in corners that are kinda out of the way... not sure if that makes a difference or not?
We don’t have many fences or furniture items placed around (we used to but again, the clutter made it difficult to move around the map), so we’ll have to work things out in that regard so we can get more points without blocking our walking spaces. :0
Thanks for the feedback, guys! I couldn’t properly tag some of you for some reason but I appreciate the responses! ;u;

Better to get lost (and kiss) (Jimin Drabble)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Jimin x Reader
Genre: Fluff
Prompt: We have been walking for hours in this forest looking for a tree, and I’m pretty sure we’ve got lost.
Summary: When you and Jimin get lost in the forest, you don’t know if you get mad at him or if you enjoy his kisses.
Word Count: 987
A/N: Sorry if it’s not smut, I couldn’t actually write it like that ^^ I hope you like tho <3
Requested by anon.
----
“Come on! I wanna show you something!” That was what Jimin said when he mentioned that he had already camped in that park when he was a child, and then you followed him, walking through the snow in the middle of the forest in search of a tree where Jimin had carved his own name in the first time he had been there, when he was 6 years old. Only this had been a few hours ago.
Since you had started to walk through the forest, Jimin began to explain about the trees of the place, a knowledge you didn’t even know he had. But it seemed he liked that particular park, where he had gone several times as a kid, but had stopped going since he had moved to another State with his parents. Only now he was back and had met you, so he wanted to show you where he had recorded the best part of his childhood. But his plan didn’t work out very well.
When you finally decided to ask if you would have to walk more to find that tree (because you were already tired), Jimin admitted that you had been lost for hours. It was useless to yell at him, saying that he should have warned you that you were lost before the situation got worse, because you were already lost. All you had to do was stand and wait for your friends to consult a guide to look for you.
However, knowing that fighting with him wouldn’t solve the situation did not stop you from sulking, grumbling with a tree as he set up the tent that, luckily, he had carried with him (that actually made you even more annoyed, as it seemed that he was prepared to get lost).
“It’s done,” you heard Jimin say with a half-hearted tone, but you did not surrender to his pout when you turned around, and you marched past him toward the tent. Jimin just sighed and followed you in silence.
Together inside the tent, it was hard to ignore him as you had done outside. There was nowhere for you to look at, and it would be weirder to grumble with the tent than with a tree. Besides, he looked really sorry.
“For how long will you be like this?” He finally asked, but you were too proud to respond immediately. “Look, I’m sorry. How many times do I have to say it? I really thought I’d remember the way.”
“The problem wasn’t getting lost and you know it, Jimin.” You explained, finally looking into his eyes, and this time you felt a tightness in the chest to see how sad he looked compared to the mood he had when you left the winter camp lodge. “If you had said it before, we wouldn’t have gotten into the forest that much. Now we have no idea how long it’ll take for them to find us. ”
“I don’t think it’s gonna take that long,” he mused, scratching his chin and looking at the entrance of the tent thoughtfully. “I may have gotten lost and didn’t know exactly where I was going, but I know where we came from. When I realized we were lost, I turned around.”
“If you knew how to get back, why did you decide to stop?”
“Because, actually, I wasn’t sure we were getting back,” he grinned, his eyes widening, a smile that you knew very well and didn’t indicate a bit of innocence. “I thought it was better to stop and wait. Besides, it’s getting late and it’s not good to walk in the woods at night.”
“At least you didn’t lie to me and confessed that we were lost,” you sighed, finally giving up being annoyed with him. “Now we wait.”
You were silent for a few minutes. You wondered how hungry you would be the next morning, which would make you angry with him again. You hoped you friends would found you soon.
“Can I make a suggestion for you to stop sighing from boredom or anger?” He asked, removing the hair that had fallen on your face and putting it behind your ear. That gesture surprised you. And it also surprised you that he was so close to you.
Since you had met him, there seemed to be some sort of tension between you, especially when you were alone. For your part, you were sure it was because of the attraction you felt for him. After all, which girl wouldn’t be attracted to someone like Jimin? With his brown, glittering eyes, his blond hair that was constantly cluttered from the frequency with which he ran his fingers through the strands, and his thick, seductive lips. You just didn’t know he was attracted to you, too. I mean, you hoped so, but he’d never confirmed anything.
“What do you have in mind?” You finally asked, when you managed to divert your mind from the urge you had to kiss him.
“Just don’t get upset or punch me, okay?” He said, but you didn’t have time to respond.
He approached quickly, whether for fear of you refusing or really hitting him, you didn’t know, but the fact was that he pressed his lips to yours.
Even if you wanted to, you couldn’t have shoved him away, for your muscles moved by itself. And you accepted the kiss, reciprocating and opening your lips for him to caress your tongue with his.
It was the best kiss of your life, and when Jimin distanced himself a little to look into your eyes, the sadness that had taken over his countenance had just vanished. This time, his eyes were shining with happiness. And without saying anything else he kissed you again… and again, and again.
Okay, you were lost, but that wasn’t so bad if you could be alone with Jimin and be warmed by him on that winter night.
